She smiled to herself, her eyes closed as she silently congratulated herself on her perfectly styled hair, prim and proper attire, and dignified, graceful appearance. It was more than worth the countless hours spent preparing just for this day. She looked more professional than she ever thought possible. She opened her baggy eyes to look out the window down at all the many students rushing by to get into the building, some old, some new, all eager to learn. She couldn't wait to give her orientation speech. She could already imagine the looks on their faces when she stepped out in front of the podium, looking just as respectable as the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company. Yes...all her training was just for this day. She giggled to herself as she thought of all the happy little first years coming to her for advice. She couldn't help but imagine them all as children, looking up to a parent. 'All according to plan...' She thought, as she finally turned around to face the hallway. She had to stay vigilant. Not a single troublemaker would get past her today. Not while she was here. But...for some reason, she swore she could hear a voice calling out to her. "...-arlight! "...-starlight!" "...-Starlight!" "Huh?" Starlight turned to her right, only to see... "Trixie?!" Sure enough, Trixie was rushing down the halls, kicking up dust and gripping her cape hard, using it to cover up her chest as she raced toward her. As Starlight looked on in pure, embarrassed awe, she only heard her say one thing. "Help me!" Starlight tried to move, but as she stared in awe at the half naked girl currently rushing toward her with all the speed of an oncoming train, she found that she was frozen to the spot in shock. "Help me, please!" Trixie said again, this time begging with all her might. This time, Starlight understood. She cupped her hands over her mouth and called out, "What's wrong? Why are you running?" Trixie pointed behind her and replied back with, "Those two stole my bra!" Starlight gave a confused look before taking a quick peek behind Trixie, only to see the last two people she wanted to see today. She glared as she rushed down the hall, catching up to Trixie with ease (considering she was running the other way). She stepped in front of her and blocked the two troublemaker's path. "Snips! Snails!" Her eyes narrowed as her glare turned dagger-like, an aura of fury emanating from her very being. The two boys stopped dead in their tracks and practically fell onto their butts upon noticing her. Snips spoke up first, quickly hiding the bra behind his back to keep it away from her eyes. "Uh...It's not what it looks like!" "Oh really?" Starlight smiled a devious smile, and the aura around her flared again, becoming a demon mask that stared them down from the background. "Then tell me what is it like? Because it seems to me like you two are in need of some serious discipline!" The boys were sweating bullets by now, but Snips still managed to say one more thing. "We were uh...admiring her...beauty?" He should have kept his mouth shut. "Not. Gonna. Cut it." Starlight said as she pulled back the sleeves on her uniform and grabbed the two of them by their collars. "You two are gonna come with me. I've got a lot of work to do today, and you just volunteered yourselves as tribute." Snips, sighing in relief, speaks up again. "Phew! We thought you were gonna make us clean the restrooms." "You know, that's actually not a bad idea. But instead of doing just one restroom, you can clean ALL the restrooms on this FLOOR!" With that, she storms off down the hall, leaving Trixie to shiver in fear. 'Note to self...always stay on her...good side.' Some time later, the two girls found their way into an empty classroom, and sat across from each other. "So...you okay?" Starlight asked as she smiled at her friend. "Yeah...they do this all the time..." Trixie said, sighing in defeat and looking away. "All the time? What do you mean?" "Well..." Trixie paused for a second before speaking. "Those two are...my little brothers." "You mean...you're..." Starlight tried to say, but Trixie cut her off. "They're not related by blood. My father adopted them back when I was in middle school. They seem to have grown...attached...to me. They never do anything without me and well...recently, My parents and I have been doing more shows in a bunch of different places. We never bring the boys along so far out and...they get quite...lonely when I'm not there." Starlight listened closely as her best friend shared her story. "I see...So they're acting out of a desire for attention..." "And then there's the fact that we're in high school now, which means they're at that age where things start to get...weird. I've tried to tell them to stop but...they just never listen." Trixie looked up at Starlight with a worried expression. "Do you...understand what I mean?" "Mhm! I understand completely." Starlight said, a smile spreading across her face. "Y-you...do?" Trixie asked, suddenly nervous. "Yeah, well... I don't have any siblings, but I did have a best friend once. We did everything together too. He was older than me and I kinda got a little clingy. Our parents said we were like a couple." "Really? You mean you and-" "Yeah, that's him. But...he got a job and had to move away so...I never saw him again." "Oh. I'm sorry to here that." "Don't worry about it." It was a long time ago. I'm over it. Anyway the point of what I'm trying to say is, they'll get over it eventually, but you can't just let them get away with doing stuff like that either. You have to put your foot down. Let them know that this is not something they should be doing. That it's wrong and immoral." "Well, I mean, I've tried but..." Starlight sighs. "Okay, look. Here's what you do.Do they have anything they really like? Anything at all?" "Well, Snails has a pet snail, but Snips doesn't have anything he really likes. All he talks about is his hair." "Then threaten to cut his hair! Take the snail away. You have to do something or they'll keep harassing you." "Well...y-yeah. You're right. I'll show them that they can't bother me like this anymore." Trixie makes a fist and pounds it into her palm. "On my honor as a big sister." "There's a good girl." "You're not really gonna make them clean the whole floor are you?" Trixie asked, Chuckling slightly to herself. "Of course not. I'm not evil. But they are gonna have to help me out with a couple things before my speech starts. I still need an audience." This time, Trixie laughed aloud. "Ha! They'll be asleep before you can get past the first page!" "That's what i'm counting on." Suddenly, Starlight's expression changed. Upon seeing her like that., Trixie gave her old friend a confused look. "You know, You can't really blame them for taking your bra." "What? Now you're on their side? Just what do you mean?" "Relax, relax, I'm not defending them. I'm just saying that...well...you are very attractive and if they really are at that age, then I can see the reason they would want to take them." Trixie's eyes widened at this. "I...I...starlight, you...you mean you..." "Well...kinda...yeah...since last year. Why do you think i'm always so lenient with you..." "Well I...I never thought that you would...with me...and...wow. This is just...wow." "Yeah, well...I kinda have to go get ready for my speech, so..." She stood up and walked quickly towards the door, opening it. Having been too frozen to speak, Trixie now notices Starlight leaving, and calls out to her. "Wait I...I like you too..." She whispers that last bit just before the door finally closes. Starlight, on the other side of the door, sits down in front of it, her back to it. As she rests her arms on her knees and her head on her arms, a small smile finds its way onto her face, along with a blush as bright as the sun's rays on her face Author's Note Hi Guys!
