Twilight was inside her castle trying to knit a ripped blanket of hers back together as it had gotten snagged between a door when she was pulling it out of the room then other day.
She had wanted to fix it yesterday but didnt have the time as she had to go to a meeting with Mayor Mare about new education funding Ponyville needed and had worked with her until it got passed. After it had been passed she didnt have enough time to fix it so that was why she was trying to fix it in that current moment.
As Twilight did this she was having trouble however as Rarity knew how to do that stuff perfectly but even if she was having trouble she still tried her best in order to get it to be perfect
As she tried to knit someone entered her castle so Twilight turned around to see Elizabeth walking up to her.
"Hey...I didnt expect you to come talk to me today...your usually exercising..." Twilight said. Elizabeth laughed as she sat by Twilight and took her prosthetic legs off.
"I already did...you will not believe the rush hour going on out their!" Elizabeth complained as she straightened her hair out.
"Is it really that bad..." Twilight asked, Elizabeth nodded slowly.
"Yeah. It's like Ponyville doesnt have enough room to move around in, their was more people out than yesterday." Elizabeth said.
"Are you trying to knit?" Elizabeth asked as she looked at Twilight's work. Twilight sighed as she shrugged.
"Yeah I am but it's not going so well. Rarity is better at this than I am." Twilight said sadly.
"Why dont you ask Rarity to teach you then?" Elizabeth asked. Twilight grew hesitant.
"Do you really...think she will teach me?" Twilight asked.
"Well if shes your friend she would. At least that's how I think of it." Elizabeth said.
Thanks Elizabeth." Twilight said, Twilight then wanted Elizabeth something but knew that if she did she might offend the runner, still she couldnt keep her curiousity in forever.
"Twilight what's wrong?" Elizabeth asked the princess, Twilight bit her lip and looked away but Elizabeth had Twilight face her.
"Twilight its okay just tell me." She sad. Twilight sighed and looked at Elizabeth as she thought about how to word out her thought.
"Elizabeth...how did you loose your legs?" Twilight asked with hesitation in her voice as she feared that she was asking something offensive. Twilight hopes that Elizabeth wasnt angry at her. However Elizabeth smiled sadly.
"I understand that your curious but I dont think telling you such a sad story would be good idea..." Elizabeth remarked.
"Its alright I can deal with sad stories, you've been my friend for a while." Twilight asked.
"Alright I will tell you then." Elizabeth said. Twilight nodded slowly and Elizabeth smiled.
"I was involved in an accident as a kid, being an idiot was my problem back then and if I could go back and change my past I would..." Elizabeth revealed. Twilight wanted to know more.
"What was the accident?" Twilight asked, Elizabeth was silent for a few seconds and then he spoke.
"When I was a child and living with my parents I was playing near a shelf with a buzz saws on it. I was in the basement because my parents weren't watching me. I knocked into it while I was playing which made the buzz saws fall off the shelf and cut off my legs." Elizabeth said.
Twilight felt sad when she heard this, she felt about what happened to Elizabeth. She spoke.
"Thanks for telling me Elizabeth. I appreciate you telling me about your story." Twilight said.
"Your welcome Twilight. I'm used to telling it to some people as other people have asked me how I've lost my legs as well. Believe me when I tell you that your not the first person to ask me about how I became an amputee. I've told the story so may times that It doesnt really bother me anymore. I'm desensitized to it but earlier on in my life I was terrified about what happened but now since I'm older now I've come to terms about what happened.
"I'm so sorry about what happened Elizabeth...I really am." Twilight said as she felt so horrible for Elizabeth. Elizabeth hugged Twilight which shocked Twilight as Twilight hadnt seen it coming and spoke.
"You dont have to apologize Twilight you didnt do anything wrong." Elizabeth said, Twilight then broke away from the hug and spoke.
"Thanks Elizabeth...I know that. I just felt bad for you." Twilight said.
"I understand Twilight. Now come on and cheer up. Let's go for some cookies!" Elizabeth suggested as she wiped Twilight's tears away. Twilight smiled and stood up. Elizabeth put her prosthetic legs back on and went to Sugarcube Corner with Twilight for some cookies. Twilight soon cheered up as she was glad that Elizabeth was dealing with her disability as best as she could.
Twilight went back to her castle and realized she got new work sent to her by Celestia while she was getting ice cream so she got that done.
Once she was done she thought about her meeting with Elizabeth as she thought about what Elizabeth had told her abour her accident that had caused to her to loose both her legs. Twilight felt sad about it but knew that Elizabeth didn't want her to be sad all the time about it so she tried to cheer herselff up. She hoped that she could meet up with Elizabeth again.
She then finished up knitting the blanket and sighed a she had finally fixed her blanket she put it in her closet for the next time she needed to use it.
She hoped to meet up with Elizabeth again as she liked Elizabeth alot. She hoped to have a sleepover with Elizabeth someday as well. Ahe knew it was something that she would ask her the next time she meets up with her again.
