Altered Equestria

It's the age of technology, and as one would expect corporations hold all the power. Problem is they aren't satisfied with just that. They want more so they spend their days eating one another, growing fat and plump as they use everything they can get their claws and hooves on in order to further personal goals. They use the datasphere to force feed the public the latest fads, watching them eat everything up. Buy this. Obey that. Buy More.

Technology keeps marching on; changing, shifting, mutating - it's adapt or die.

Now a days most folks just spend their days either drifting about the Sprawl, plugging metal into their bodies, or immersed in bliss of Virtual Reality.

Cause of this people don't realize is that something's wrong with the world. Maybe it's caused by the Corps latest tech, maybe it's caused by something else. Regardless: the worlds changing, and some are starting to realize it.

What it'll lead to is up for debate.
