This is alternate universe. In this universe Ember is little older than in original universe.

Chapter 1

A blue unicorn walked nervously around the hall to the room next to him. It had been a few hours since nopony had let him know how his beloved felt. Night Light with a sweaty mane sat on a chair.

He sat there for another few minutes, until he heard the door opening near him. It was a muscular scarlet dragon doctor.

"Prince Light?" he smiled "I have goo-"

"WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN? WHAT ABOUT MY WIFE? DID THEY SURVIVED?" blue unicorn released all his stress on doctor.

"Calm down Prince ... Everything is alright with them" he replied with a smile on his face as if he did not care that just somepony shouted at him.

Night Light with sad smile looked at the door "C-can I come in?"

"Of course … Princess wants to see you too"

The young father sighed and walked slowly into the room.

"Ember! Is everything alright?" Night Light was terrified when he saw his beloved with her eyes closed.

"Shhh … You need to be silent. You do not want to wake them up ... do you?" cyan dragoness slowly opened her tired eyes and snarled at him.

Two small creatures slept near Princess Ember's belly, they were a hybrid between ponies and dragons.

One was a small purple beautiful female dracony with a dark blue mane after daddy, dragon muzzle and eye color after mommy, however the other one was a little bigger white male dracony, who looked more like his father from the look, but he had dragon tail after his mother.

"They are … beautiful" blue pony smiled wider, when he saw his offspring.

"Just lie down next to me and STOP TALKING" dragon princess activated her grumpy personality.

Night Light laid his head on his wife's back, and began to look around their bedroom. The armor of his wife was hung on the hanger, while their bloodstone scepter was suspended above their bed. After a moment, he thought about one thing.

"How are they feeling?" blue pony finally asked.

"Good … They fell asleep immediately after leaving my womb … " Ember said sarcastically, like she didn't wanted Night to be here.

Night Light blushed and looked at the ceiling.

They both heard crying.

"Great … They are hungry" Ember hissed, and gave them two pieces of a green gem.

Both foals began to eat them slowly.

Their young organisms were still small, so they left large parts when they ate.

Ember lightly stroked her children and blushed towards the blue pony.

"You can choose names for them … If you want of course" she laid on her back, showing that she has a friendly attitude.

"R-really" Night asked not believing his ears. "Do you really let the pony do it?"

"You are not a stranger to me, so I can give you rights" she said jokingly.

Night Light was still hesitating.

"Do not be affraid. I won't bite"

The blue pony looked closely at his offspring. "Which one is older?"

"The white one" she pointed to a little white male dracony who was flying around the room."He is the heir to the throne"
"Shining Armor" Night said firmly. " He will protect Dragon Lands from the threats of warring nations" he then looked at sleeping purple female dracony "Twilight Sparkle"

"What about her?" cyan dragoness asked.

"Ummm … Plan B?" he tapped his chin.

"Fair enough" she commented.

9 YEARS LATER

"Mommy, Mommy!" the purple filly tried to wake her mother, while jumping on the bed. "Play with me!"

"Not right now Twily … M-momma is tired" Ember covered her head with a pillow.

Twilight, not giving up, began to take off quilts from her parents' bed with her claws.

"Twily … Please" Tired Night Light tried to speak to his daughter, but she ignored him.

"Young Lady!" Ember said with her high voice "You are acting irresponsibly!"

She still ignored them.

"Play … with … ME!" purple dracony filly breathed with fire.

"OK! You won! I will play with you!" Night quickly left the bed to calm her down.

"YAY!" Twilight giggled "I need to tell Shiny about it!" She quickly ran into the bedroom she shared with him.

"BBBFF!" Filly chirped happily.

"What is it sis?" white colt asked.

"Daddy wants to play with us!" she sang.

"YAY!" dracony colt cheered.

"I think I have a problem" Night Light smiled sheepishly.

"Yup!" Ember smirked "You're taking care of them, while I will sleep, so you are having a problem"

"LET'S PLAY THE TAG!" Twilight squealed happily.

After a few hours of playing the tag, A blue unicorn, with fatigue in his eyes, lay in the middle of the room.

"Twily … Shiny ... *breath* you're so fast"

"Dad! What else can we play?" Shining asked with bored expression "Can we play some chess?"

"Not now my children … I'm too … tired …" he breathed heavily, trying to get up.

Ember came closer to her children and asked them.

"Do you want to eat some yummy gems"

"I think I'm hungry … Can I have some?" Shining's caught his belly, while it growled.

"Yeah … I'm hungry too" Twilight's belly also growled, and went to eat something with her brother.

"Go Ahead! Gems are in the kitchen" she smiled to them

Night Light and Ember were left alone.

"How did you come up with it?" Night Light asked with shocked expression on his muzzle.

"That's very simple Night … When our children are "bored" it means they are hungry" she smiled "When you went to play with them, I left gems in the kitchen on the table for them"

"I get it … Can I go to sleep? I'm very tired right now!"

"I do not see any contraindications my prince" she laughed, after seeing his very tired eyes.

"Ha ... Ha ... Very funny" Night laughed and with lidded eyes went to their bedroom to sleep on his very warm bed.

Ember sighed and went into the kitchen.

"MOMMY! Those gems are so delicious!" Shining ate them happily.

"I know" cyan dragoness smiled " Especially I gave you your favorite kind"

"Emeralds?" Twilight smiled and ate another one.

"I would never forget your favourite kind is"

"Thank you!" they both hugged her mother, making her cheeks blush.
