Quick Buzz looked across the bar. "Jaden, I think you have had a enough to drink tonight, just go upstairs." Jaden nodded, then tried to get out of the bar stool, but ended up falling, he tried to get up, but couldn't. Everypony stared at the pitiful unicorn on the ground. Again he tried to get up, using the stool as a support, but this time, when he crashed, his cape ripped, and his flank showed.
"What the heck, he's a blank flank." A random pony said.
"How old is he?" Another pony questioned. Jaden again tried to get up, but he fell down again, so he pitifully crawled towards the stairs, trying his best to ignore the stares but once again, he stumbled and fell onto his belly.
"Okay, it's time to start the monthly music competition!" Buzz started it early, to get everypony to stop staring at Jaden. Jaden crossed the floor again, this time stumbling right at the piano. Jaden smiled and got up slowly, putting himself into a sitting position, right on the piano seat, he turned, and saw the piano. Quickly forgetting everything around himself he brushed his hoof across the keys, 'it played like dream' he thought. Everybody quieted down at that, and turned towards the piano, to see the same slobbering drunk as before, suddenly Jaden's horn lit up, as did the keys on the piano.
"Hm, what to play, what to play, oh I know, Octavia's overture." He said to himself, a certain mare raised an eyebrow.
"Hey, Jaden, get off of that piano, there's-"
"Let him play, he deserves a chance in the competition as well." Buzz cut was stopped by none other than Octavia herself. Jaden was about to get off when he heard Octavia's voice. Unable to recognise it, he shrugged and lit the piano back up, and began to play, immediately everybody was in awe at the spectacuar performance, not a single note or beat was missed, and as quickly as he had begun it, it stopped, and he again fell to the floor unable to get up.
"Well, looks like the deadbeat can do something, other then falling on his face that is." One pony snickered. most ponies laughed, but Octavia, Buzz, and a certain DJ in the corner all looked at him with something a little different. Octavia went up to the poor drunk, and helped him up.
"Thank you Miss uh, ..."
"Treble, but you can call me Octavia."
"Wait what, I, uh, oh no, I just, oh I am so sorry for bothering you with the piano, if I knew you were here, I would have gone up the stairs without bothering with that piano." They were already up the stairs and in the small appartment that the drunk called home.
"It is quite alright, so, what is your name?" Octavia asked the drunk stallion. Right before he could answer, a knock came from the door.
"Octy? Are you in there?" A mare's voice was heard behind the door.
"Yes." Octavia called back. A white mare walked in through the door, closing it behind herself with magic. she had mostly a blue mane, wore pink shades that covered her eyes and her cutie mark was that of a musical note.
"You're, You're, You're Vynal Scratch, I think I'm having a dream! Oh god, I fainted at the bar again, now I'm having a dream." Jaden cried out.
"Uh, no, you are very much awake Jaden." Octavia said. "Vynal and I came here for the music competition." Vynal nodded.
"Oh, Vynal, this is the stallion who played the piano." Octavia introduced Jaden to the DJ.
"S'up" She nodded her head at him.
"Uh, sorry you have to see me like this, this is not how wanted to meet you both." Jaden sighed.
"Wait, what? How would you meet us anyways, why would you meet us?" Vynal asked, rather curious.
"Uh, well, I, kind of, um,well look at the time, looks like I better head off to bed, nice to meet you both." Jaden tried his best to walk over to his bedroom, but fell. Instead of trying to get up, he just laid there, wishing there was a way to walk to his room.
"Here, let me help you." Vynal's horn glowed, then Jaden suddenly wwas lifted off the ground, and levatated over to his room.
"Um, thanks, Ms. Scratch." Vynal started laughing.
"Just Vynal would be fine, thanks, heh. Oh well, see ya, guess we should be going, come on Octy." Vynal and Octavia were out the door in seconds. "Wow, he talked as if he was sober, odd." Octavia nodded in agreement. 'He's kind of hot as well.' Vynal thought.
"Well, this has been an odd evening" Octavia said with a wave of her hoof. 'He's so talented, maybe I'll visit him again.' She thought.
"What a strange night" Jaden thought aloud, right before sleep took him.
Yah, I have decided to work on this, in all honesty, I think Octavia and Vynal should have some sort of battle between each other for a stallion. Just an idea.
