The birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, the bunnies all frolic in a field. Everything seems to be going perfectly fine in magic pony land. Fluttershy hovers along, Since the day is a Saturday, she can tend to her animal friends in her cottage. Just as she starts pouring birdseed however, a large explosion goes off in the everfree, startling the skittish pegasus mare and causing her to hide under the rug, rump in the air. After a little encouragement from Angel, the bunny Fluttershy considers as her personal pet, she slowly starts to emerge from the rug. Just as her ears poke out however, another explosion rings out, causing her to jump right back under the rug. This was going to be a long day for Angel. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Twilight rushes over to the nearest window, looking out towards the everfree forest. Her suspicions were confirmed by a second explosion followed by fleeing birds and a large tree falling over. "Spike! Go find the others as quickly as you can! Tell them to meet up at the edge of the everfree forest!" She yells in a hurry, running over to Starlight's quarters and retrieving the pink unicorn. The duo quickly run and teleport around he castle, retrieving some items before departing for the forest in question. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Meanwhile, in the forest. Chad calls the top back to him, as it leaps into his hand safely. Chad smirks to himself. "Huh, and that was just using Dark Bull... Just imagine what I could do with say, Lightning L-Drago or Sol Blaze. Let's see what else I've got." Chad reaches into his pocket, pulling out a sizable gold and silver sphere. As if by instinct, he throws the ball. "Bakugan brawl!" On the second bounce, the ball expands and turns into a giant golden cobra. Aurelus Fangzor. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ The ponies (and dragon) all stare in complete shock. There, poking its head and hood above the tree line, is a giant golden cobra. "We have to stop THAT!?" Starlight half yells, more out of disbelief than anything. Twilight steps up in front of the group, turning to face them. "We've dealt with worse than giant snakes before. We've all faced the pony of shadows and managed to save not only the pillars, but also save Stygian. We've faced off against Tirek when he had all of the magic from all over Equestria! This snake won't be any different." Twilight finishes her little speech, the group agreeing in unison. "Now, let's go save Ponyville!" The group strides into the forest, confident in their success against the large snake. Little do they know, its master is preparing for their inevitable arrival. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Chad hears the hoofsteps of the ponies headed his way, a wicked grin taking over his face. "Here they come. Time to see how they fare against my new power!" Chad pulls out the white drago morpher, strapping it to his wrist. He moves his wrist to the left side of his face. "White ranger, dino power." Within seconds, the white dinothunder ranger suit appears on him. Might as well give these technicolor horses one hell of an entrance before obliterating them. Forgiveness is for the weak, the strong never need to cooperate or forgive. The equines (and drake) in question arrive past the tree line, into the clearing Chad made beforehand. "Ah, so the little ponies have come to play. Unfortunately, I play by my own rules." Chad says in a distorted voice. Nice touch power ranger suit. The ponies' attention all focus on the white and black biped, the jagged patterns and red visor eliciting some fear from them. "What do you think you're doing!? You'll drive the creatures from the everfree into town! What if somepony gets hurt!?" Twilight scolds. Chad just chuckles, crossing his arms. "You think I care about that, you half sized purple pegacorn?" Chad draws the drago sword, pointing it at the ponies accusingly. "Your world and its existence caused my family unspeakable pain. I'm here to return the favor." Quickly, Chad flips the sword around, drawing arrows of light. Twilight and Starlight's horns ignite as they all take a stance. Chad waves the sword, sending the arrows flying at the ponies at blinding speeds, while the Aurelus Fangzor continues to destroy the surrounding forest. The ponies mostly avoid the arrows thanks to Twilight's barrier, while Starlight counterattacks with blasts of magic. It looks like they hit the biped, dust blocking their view of him. They start to celebrate, only for the being to slowly step out of the cloud, cracking his neck. "Is that all you've got?" Chad taunts, twirling the sword mockingly. Rainbow Dash rushes toward Chad at great speeds, only for him to seemingly disappear. She looks around in confusion, only to be slashed by a white blur repeatedly, tufts of her fur flying off from where each slash hit. Starlight continues firing beams at the blur, only to miss every time. It stops targeting Rainbow though, now rushing through the group from an angle. One second, they notice an X mark on their bodies, the next those same marks seem to explode, sending the ponies flying in random directions as Chad stands there. The Aurelus Fangzor returning to ball form. Chad tucks it away in his pocket dimension. "Now that that's taken care of, time to go pay the citizens a little visit." Chad pulls out another golden bakugan, sending out Aurelus Nillious and leaping onto its back, flying off toward Ponyville. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ The first to come to is Twilight. She quickly starts helping her friends up. When Rainbow doesn't get up, she lifts her with magic, and setting the cyan pegasus on her back. "We need to get her to the hospital! Spike, get word out to the princesses! Starlight, evacuate Ponyville! Everypony else, go after that monster! I'll join back up with you once Rainbow's safe!" Twilight yells in a panic, galloping off. Spike starts writing a letter as fast as he can, while Starlight disappears in a flash of magic. This threat is unlike any these ponies have ever faced before, and it's bloodthirsty. Author's Note First chapter completed. The reason for naming the human Chad is just because I wanted to use the douchiest name I could think of. As for the reason behind using Bakugan Battle Planet instead of the original is because the original required gate cards and the use of a gauntlet or other external field setting device. But with Battle Planet it's easier to cause permanent wanton destruction. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Ponyville's darkest hour. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Ponyville's darkest hour. As he flies, Chad observes the town from above. He powers down, switching out the white dinothunder morpher for the red SPD morpher. He morphs, donning the red suit and gaining the phasing abilities Jack had. "Land right in the center, time to give the locals a taste of pain like they've never seen before." The Nillious obeys, landing hard in front of the town hall, as Chad leaps down. Without warning, Chad pulls out a launcher, and Lightning L-Drago. He rips, sending out the destructive forbidden bey. It starts tearing through the walls of the building, hurling the debris at the surrounding, panicking ponies. Chad laughs as his Nillious starts punching buildings and caving in roofs. At this moment, Starlight appears in town, too late to evacuate everypony safely. She does her best to teleport as many as she can to the castle. Some are crushed underfoot of the giant two headed dragon, while others are gouged by the rampant debris. The sight was horrifying to watch, for the denizens that is. For Chad, it was glorious. Any debris headed his way passing right through him. Thanks Jack. Once Starlight finishes evacuating as many ponies as she can, she confronts Chad. "Alright, if you won't stop willingly, I'll have to use force!" Starlight yells, blasting out a giant beam meant to banish Chad from Ponyville. The smoke clears, revealing a laughing biped in a red suit. "What was that supposed to do huh? Make me a pansy prissy little do-gooder like you?" Chad mocks, lacking the voice filter this time. "It was meant to banish-" Starlight is cut off as Chad starts firing at her with the delta blasters. "Why do I even bother..." She says as she deflects the shots. However, as she's recovering from deflecting the shots, the bey returns to Chad. "Seems you'll be giving me some trouble. Let's see how well you do against THIS!" Chad quickly swaps out Lightning L-Drago for Sol Blaze, and flips over the L/R string launcher. "Go! Sol Blaze!" Chad launches the bey, the heat emanating from it quickly becoming apparent. "Blaze Execution!" The others finally arrive at the scene, only to discover they were too late. Within seconds, the bey creates a swirling tornado of fire, badly burning and melting anything in range. Starlight's shield cracks and shatters from the sheer heat, sending her flying backwards. The scene is completely horrific. The buildings all piles of rubble, bits of pony carcasses visible under the rubble, blood stains, and burn marks in a circular area, with rising smoke to top it all off. A seared Starlight lies at the hooves of the element bearers, weakly looking up before passing out from the pain. Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, and even Fluttershy look at the human with a great amount of hatred. All Chad does in response is point in their general direction, as the Nillious charges. Fluttershy gives it the stare, but it seems unaffected by it. Perhaps due to its mechanical nature. The red suited human runs over to a glowing spot, throwing a glowing hexagon at the bakugan. It seems to get stronger somehow. Then, the ponies all leap out of the way just as it punches the ground. The shockwave from said punch causes them to lose their balance when they land. "This is almost TOO easy. And to think you're the reason my little brother is dead." Chad says, shaking his head. "Regardless, you'll still pay for that. Sol Blaze! Blaze Execution!" He yells out, the top starting up its fiery whirlwind once more. But Twilight was prepared for what was coming, creating a dome shield around the bey in an attempt to snuff out the flame. However, just like Starlight's shield, it begins to crack. "It's useless! The power of the orichalcon bey is unrivaled! Try to face the power of the sun god, and you'll be burned!" The shield bursts when Chad finishes, engulfing the area in flames for the second time. Twilight puts up another dome shield, this time around her friends. It starts to crack, but Twilight already has all the time she needs. She teleports herself and her friends away to the evacuation point, the shield breaking easily without its creator to hold it up. Chad growls at this, Sol Blaze returning to him. He powers down. "I'll end you yet, pegacorn... And all your little friends too..." He says. Once that's taken care of, Nillious retreats. Chad sends out an Aurelus Dragonoid, heading off towards Canterlot. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Twilight collapses in the room when she arrives, along with the rest of her friends. Seems the trauma got to them. Many of the local nurses rush up to them, one noticing Starlight's condition and quickly hauling her off for medical attention. Twilight is still conscious, looking up at a worried Spike. "H-how did this happen?" Spike asks, distraught beyond belief. "Did, did you hear back from..." Twilight coughs. Spike holds out a letter. "Yes, princess Celestia is on her way, along with the guard." Spike says quickly, his legs shaking. "Tell her that... P-ponyville... is... lost." Twilight falls unconscious, her head hitting the ground with a loud thunk. The nurses rush to put each of them on a stretcher, taking them into the designated medical room to work on them. Twilight's castle somehow remained untouched and unnoticed by the rampaging human, making it a great place for a safe haven. For now. Spike gulps, writing another letter and engulfing it in his flames, sending it out to Canterlot. A grim feeling washing over him. Whatever this was, this was only the beginning... Author's Note So... time to see what everyone thinks so far. Improvements will be made as time goes on, but this story won't be very lengthy at all. This also just occurred to me, sorry to any Chads out there, this isn't meant to reflect on you guys in any way. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: What the hell's going on? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: What the hell's going on? As Chad continues his flight towards the capitol city of Equestria, he spots something in the distance headed right for him. A small army of armor clad pegasi, the golden armor glinting in the sunlight, making them VERY visible from farther away. "Heh, time to go duck hunt on these abominations." Chad remarks to himself. Chad pulls out another morpher, this time it's the blue dinothunder morpher. The shield will come in handy against anything that gets close enough, while the blaster should get the job done fairly well. He morphs, the pegasi still little glints in the distance. That is, until faster streaks of darker blue start approaching. Fast. Chad takes aim with the blaster, firing at the more threatening targets. To his surprise, every shot misses, as each of them dodge the shots. Before long, the blue streaks, extremely fast pegasi upon further inspection, close the distance. Chad is quickly knocked off of his dragonoid, which is now occupied with some of the pegasi. But the rest aren't done with Chad yet, as he's battered and kicked around in the air. Chad can't even seem to get his bearings whatsoever, as the ruthless pegasi don't let up. That is, until Chad remembers the other ability this particular morpher grants him. He activates the rough, shield like skin trait, no longer feeling any additional pain from the assault. He watches the attack pattern of the pegasi, still making noises as though he was in pain. Once he finds an opening, he swings his shield at one of the pegasi, going far too fast to avoid the attack. This causes the pattern to falter enough so he can break free. In freefall, while the pegasi are distracted with tending to their wounded, mostly caused by the dragonoid, Chad shoots and manages to hit a couple of them. As the ground is coming closer, Chad braces for impact, the shield skin effect still active. He hits the ground, forming a human shaped crater. He slowly and shakily gets back up, the skin not fully protecting him from the fall. The morpher automatically powers down, too weak to keep up the ranger form. Chad quickly switches it out for the white dinothunder morpher, and goes invisible. Seems he's lost his dragonoid, and a large chunk of his confidence. If he's gonna take down a trained army, he needs to better hone his skills. Chad wanders off, searching for a safe haven of his own as the guards arrive at the crater, clueless as to where he went. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Meanwhile at the castle, Twilight and her friends are recovering. Except for Starlight. When they got her to the castle, it was already too late. She won't make it through, as the burns were too severe, not even Twilight's magic could heal them. Rainbow's recovery is taking longer than the rest of her friends, due to being slashed relentlessly. While the rest only passed out from the heat and traumatic sight of their home town's destruction, only really needing a small amount of recovery time and a lot of water. Twilight is already searching through her books for any kind of information regarding this threat that seemingly came out of nowhere. "You sure you're okay Twilight, you were in pretty bad shape back there..." Spike asks, still concerned for Twilight's health. "I'm fine enough to read, so I will research and read. I still can't believe what it did to Starlight, and to Ponyville. What kind of creature could be so vile, and full of hatred?" Twilight says, slightly rambling as she looks through her books. "Not even the dragons or griffons were that cruel..." Spike remarks. "Whatever it is, it knows full well what it's doing. And it enjoys that. Not even Tirek or Discord were that bad." Twilight adds, scanning through her books the whole time. "If only the princesses knew what it is, and why it's like that." Twilight says off-hoofedly. Spike quickly grabs a scroll, jotting down a few things. "I didn't see what it did to Ponyville, Starlight took me back here when you said to evacuate the town. What could it do that would burn her like that?" Spike asked, fully ready to write as many details as he could on the human. Twilight levitates the scroll over to herself, writing herself as quickly as possible, much to Spike's surprise, since she'd never done that before. She levitates it back over to him. "Send it." Spike sends the letter without hesitation. "Why did you write it, you never write the letters yourself." Spike asks in confusion. "Because if I was going to explain it all as quickly as possible to the princesses, I needed to write it out myself. Telling it all to you and then having you send it would've been slower. This being is a threat to our lives, and it seems it doesn't mind playing dirty to win. Look what it did to Rainbow and Starlight." She explained. Spike starts looking through some books himself. "Should we contact the other leaders too, just in case?" He asks. "That would be a good idea, if your magic breath was able to send them letters too. No, we'll have to rely on the princesses contacting them. If we leave, our location could be found by the biped, and we'd be killed for sure." Twilight responds. "Why don't we just get Discord's help? Come to think of it, why didn't he help earlier and prevent all this from happening?" Spike asks. "You... have a point. Especially since Fluttershy was in danger. You'd think he'd have been here by now." Twilight thinks aloud. "DISCORD!" Spike yells, no response. "CAPTAIN WUZ!" Spike yells again. Discord seems to fall up from the carpet. "Is it time for another guys night? Oh, Twilight's here. Guess not? What did you want then, I haven't got all day." Discord says, unamused. "Where were you when Ponyville was under attack!?" Spike yells, getting somewhat angry. "Oh, that. Well, I've been busy trying to patch a hole in the dimensions that appeared just recently. I left myself in charge, but I don't know how long I can keep it up for. As for your little human problem, he came through the small tear I use for amusement whenever I'm not needed. But when he came through, he tore a hole big enough to threaten the fabric of your reality. Oh, and since he's from another dimension, he's immune to your magic, as are his little trinkets. Not even Tirek with all of Equestria's magic could use any on him. Anyways, the union mandated break I took to come here is up, good luck keeping your reality safe. If it doesn't work out, I could always take you to mine." Discord says. Before Spike or Twilight can respond, he disappears in a flash of white light. "He's an alien that's immune to MAGIC!?" Twilight yells in disbelief, panic in her eyes as she frantically searches through even more books. "Well, that's not good. If we can't use magic to stop him, how do we then!?" Spike asks, also worried. Seems this day is turning out badly for everyone involved. Author's Note Mmkay, third chapter completed. I figured Chad needed to be knocked down a peg. After all, he's only a human, even with the power ranger suits on. And this is also why Discord couldn't help, even if he wanted to. After all, if the god of chaos could just end the conflict with the snap of a finger, there'd be no story. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Let's turn it up a notch, shall we? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Let's turn it up a notch, shall we? Twilight is FREAKING THE FUCK OUT. If magic can't be used to fight this menace, then what hope do they have? Not even the rainbow power could do anything because it's MAGIC. Not to mention he would be unaffected by the elements! And what about the princesses? Their greatest weapon is their powerful magic! Needless to say, Twilight's been worried all night. Good news is, Rainbow's nearly recovered. Bad news is, Starlight passed on in her sleep that night. Twilight continues her researching regardless, trying to figure out how to best defeat this threat without magic. Cozy Glow was one thing, as she was a young filly incapable of doing any real physical harm. But this... this human, is far more dangerous. Even worse, the guard's lost him, meaning he could strike from anywhere, at any time, without warning. "Twilight, you've been looking at those books all night. Don't you need some rest?" Spike asks, concerned once again. "Nope." Twilight replies, still looking for something, anything that could help. That's when something finally clicks in her head. She's seen his kind before, even BEEN one of them. She didn't recognize it at first due to the helmets, and different proportions. Twilight gets up, running over to a corner, and bringing out the mirror portal to the other, human filled world. Without warning, she leaps in, Spike following, leaving the library wing empty. If she's gonna find answers, she'll find them there. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Chad wakes up, unmorphed. Seems the cave he found was safe after all, minus the wild mythical creature that was in it the night before. Ah, it felt just like it was yesterday... which it was. Flashback time. Chad limps along in his quest to fins shelter for the night, when he happened upon a cave surrounded by stone statues, some of which were quite large. He idly taps one of the statues, solid. Then, he hears the boking of a chicken. He looks around, spotting the head of the defenseless fowl. "Bok bok ya little bitch. Tell me, who made these statues, and where can I find them?" Chad asks in his distorted voice, smirking from under his helmet. The chicken looked... pissed? And that's when it fully reveals itself. A tiny chicken lizard, which proceeds to stare very hard at Chad. Meanwhile, Chad just looks at the creature, and starts laughing. "Oh goodness me, not the angry gaze of a chicken lizard! Oh, what a world, what a world." Chad mocks, knowing full well what the creature really is, and silently questioning why he isn't being turned to stone. The cockatrice lunges at Chad in anger, only for Chad to seemingly disappear. The cockatrice looks around in confusion, only to be hit from behind by something. Chad had launched Flame Serpent at it. The cockatrice stares intently at the top, only for that to prove fruitless as well. Suddenly, the top starts circling the cockatrice at incredible speeds, a small amount of fire starting to build up in the circle. The cockatrice attempts to step out, only to be singed. It spreads its wings for an attempt to fly out, with the same result. The cockatrice gazes up at Chad in utter fear, wondering what kind of monster he is. "Doesn't feel so nice to be paralyzed, does it little pecker? At least you can take comfort in knowing you'll serve a higher purpose, as my dinner tonight." Chad says in a slow, menacing tone. The cockatrice proceeds to crap itself, as it's helplessly, and slowly, being cooked alive. Once it's cooked, Chad notices the statues cracking, and bursting, reverting to their original forms. The various creatures look around, only to spot Chad eating the cooked carcass of the beast that stoned them in the first place. They idly ponder whether or not to attack the morsel before them, as it was able to kill a cockatrice. They silently agree to leave this being alone, and all wander back into the forest. Flashback over. Still somewhat sore from the fall yesterday, Chad slowly gets up, looking fondly at the bones from last night's dinner. Luckily, he's still able to launch beys perfectly fine. He digs through his pockets, pulling out a pair of blue sunglasses and putting them on. He steps out of the cave, walking in a randomly appointed direction that wasn't towards Canterlot. He's not ready for that place yet, those horses beat the shit out of him. If he had been in any other ranger suit, he'd have been done for for sure. Damn horses that can actually fight, now he has to put in real EFFORT. Why couldn't they have just been helpless or something, how would they even get this advanced with hooves? After a little while of walking, Chad comes to the forest he arrived in. He decides to hide out somewhere within, wandering deeper so he won't be as easy to find. Unbeknownst to him, something watches from the shadows. As Chad journeys on, he stumbles across a tree hut of sorts. Where there's a building, there's ponies. Chad proceeds to activate the blue solar morpher, becoming the jungle fury jaguar ranger. This piques the interest of the being in the shadows. Chad pulls out a top and launcher from his pocket dimension. Evil Befall. Without hesitation, he launches the bey at the building. Due to it being an older, hollowed out tree, the bey has no problem busting a hole in the wall. Nobody's home. Chad is disappointed, calling back the bey and putting it away. He powers down, shades still on his face as he continues on, as if nothing happened. The stalker drops down from the shadowy treetops, making herself known to Chad. As if on instinct, he goes to reach into his pocket dimension. "Stop! I'm not affiliated with the ponies!" The giant bug horse half yells. Chad's already got the same bey from before pointed at her. "You sure do look like one of those abominations. Make your last words quick, I have towns to massacre." "I hate those ponies too, they caused me to lose my hive to some pathetic traitor, who now rules them and made them act more like ponies. I was hoping to acquire your assistance in reclaiming my hive, and making those ponies pay." Chrysalis explains, Chad's grip somewhat loosened on his launcher. "Holy shit, Gelorum? No, wait, Roodaka? How did you end up here, and like... that?" Chad asks. Chrysalis stares at him for a moment, completely confused. "I don't know who you're talking about whatsoever. But I have an offer for you. If you help me reclaim my hive, we'll have an army to face those troublesome ponies." Chad puts the bey and launcher back. "You make a good offer. Let's just hope your army won't be too soft. If they get in my way though, be prepared to lose some soldiers in the crossfire." Chad remarks, holding a hand out. Chrysalis shakes with her hoof in agreement. "We have an agreement?" "We do." Chad says, smirking. "So, where to?" "Follow me, I will take you to the outskirts of my kingdom myself." Chrysalis replies, trotting in the general direction of the badlands, Chad in tow. Zecora moves out from behind her hut, having heard the conversation. She looks at the gaping hole in her home in sorrow, before quietly heading off toward the remains of Ponyville. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Meanwhile at the castle, Applejack, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity are all searching for Twilight in the castle. They all run around, looking through rooms in a Scooby Doo like manner in their frantic search. Meanwhile, a certain group of six aids in the search. That is, until they spot the strange looking contraption with a mirror on it deep in the library. "What do you think this thing is?" Sandbar asks, idly poking at the mirror's surface. "It's a mirror doofus." Smolder remarks, huffing slightly. "But it's not a solid mirror at all, look at how it moves when Sandbar pokes at it." Ocellus retorts, looking at the mirror in wonder. "Could just be a fancy mirror. Pony magic works like that, right?" Gallus asks, seeming indifferent to the situation. "But why would it be in the back of the library? That's not a normal place to put it." Ocellus says, growing more curious about the mirror. "Yona agrees with Ocellus. This really weird, even by pony standards." Yona chimes in. Before the group can discuss anything further, Silverstream shoves an arm through the mirror. "Oh my gosh, maybe THIS is where Twilight went! We need to get her back!" She half yells out, full on jumping into the portal. The rest of the group follows suit, not wanting to leave Silverstream unsupervised. Just as the mirror settles back down, Applejack peeks her head in the library. Author's Note Welp, here it is, the fourth installment of the chaotic journey brought about by all this. For future reference, I tend to be more partial to the Disney era rangers than the rest. So you may see them more frequently than the others. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: Bugging out, also humans. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: Bugging out, also humans. Various changelings panic as a small spinning metal top unaffected by their magic starts tearing through their surroundings like a hot knife through warm butter. The gold and black top was indeed heating up the environment as it tore through it, as the pussified pacifist changelings run around screaming. It's not helping that multiple bipeds in yellow spandex and Queen Chrysalis are present during this disaster. "This had better draw him out." The Chad copy next to Chrysalis says. "He'll come, otherwise it would undermine his authority and ability to protect his stolen subjects. Rest assured." Chrysalis replies, smiling smugly. As if on queue, Thorax and Pharynx fly in. Pharynx rushes a Chad, transforming into the bestial spider scorpion thing he turns into a lot. The main Chad pulls out a bakugan ball, throwing out a Darkus Nillious. Pharynx continues his stride, and is subsequently kicked damn far by the Nillious. "Follow him, and don't stop until he's paste." The lead Chad orders the Nillious, which flies off. Thorax focuses his attention on Chrysalis. "You might have been welcome here before, but you aren't now! Attacking us with all of these monsters!" Thorax yells, turning into a bear and rushing forward. The Chads proceed to all draw their blasters, shooting at Thorax. This causes him to stumble and fall, reverting back to normal. "I guess I have to squash this bug myself." The lead Chad says as the doubles merge back into him. Chrysalis holds a holed leg in front of him. "No, capture him. He stole my kingdom from me, I want him to go through isolation as I have." "Fine. But the other one's being exterminated." Chad says, holding out the morpher at Thorax. "You have been accused of usurping the rightful ruler of this land and kingdom." Chad presses the button, activating the judging mode. A green circle and red X alternate flashing. Thorax looks at it in fearful confusion for a moment, until the red X becomes solid. "You are guilty." Before Thorax can get back up, he's captured by the device, and is now in a tiny card. Chad picks it up and hands it to Chrysalis. "Here you go." Chrysalis looks at Chad in mild amazement. "How did you do that to him without magic?" She asks. "Technology. Not even I know how it works, I just use it." Chad replies as the Hades Kerbecs returns to him. Chrysalis puts the card in a leg hole, filling in the hole to keep it covered. "Now, I'm going to reclaim my hive." Chrysalis says, her wings buzzing as she takes flight. She quickly evades the returning Pharynx. "You thought your dumb beast could kill me that easily!? HA! I'LL SHOW YOU HOW A REAL WARRIOR FIGHTS!" Pharynx yells furiously, divebombing at Chad. Chad retaliates by doubling up again, letting a copy take the hit for him. The copies all take out their blasters, firing at Pharynx just as they had Thorax earlier. Pharynx shrugs it off, grabbing a Chad and flying up with it. Chad waits for him to get pretty high before demorphing. The copies all dissipate, which makes Pharynx confused when the one he was holding just fizzles out of existence. Chad takes the opportunity to morph into a different ranger; the Ninja Storm red ranger. "Ninja Storm, ranger form!" Chad morphs, taking to the skies thanks to the red ranger's air power. He uses the tactic the wonderbolts beat him with before, knocking into the airborne Pharynx without giving him so much as an opening to regain control of his flight. Chad grabs hold of Pharynx's wings, tearing through the delicate structures. Pharynx begins to plummet, which Chad furthers by slamming into Pharynx from above. Hard. Pharynx impacts the ground with enough force to form a small crater, his chitin covered in spiderweb fractures. "Any last words, pest?" Chad spits, his voice dripping with venom. Pharynx just glares at Chad angrily, teeth gritted in anticipation of the end. "Nothing? Really? That's no fun." Chad remarks in disappointment, pulling out a black and purple top, and flipping his launcher to left spin. He sends out Gravity Destroyer, using its power to exert downward force onto Pharynx, the pressure creating more fractures in his already compromised chitin. The pressure becomes too much for Pharynx's body to withstand, as his chitin shatters. Pharynx practically explodes, insectoid viscera splattering everywhere, including on some unfortunate changelings nearby, who faint from the whole experience. Destroyer is recalled, and Chad turns to the crowd, Chrysalis now by his side. "Citizens of whatever the fuck this place is called. Your kings are defeated, and Chrysalis shall be re-instated as Queen of the Changelings. Resistance will lead to a fate worse than death. Comply, or else." Chad announces, the changelings mostly cowering in fear. One changeling still stands, defiantly stepping forward. "I see. I will have to make an example of you then." Chad says woefully. Chrysalis holds a holed foreleg in front of Chad. "No, do not kill my subjects. We need as many as we can have for our army." Chrysalis states, hoping her logic will deter Chad. "Is that weakness I hear? Honestly, how do you expect to command your army if they defy you? That one will have to go, unless you wish to be another of my enemies." Chad says coolly, his demeanor going back to threatening. Chrysalis sighs. She had hoped no more changeling blood would be spilled, but this was how it had to be, lest she fight a battle she cannot win. "Forgive me, do with him as you wish." Chrysalis reluctantly says, looking at the defiant changeling mournfully. Chad points his morpher at the changeling, sending out shurikens from the disk portion straight at the changeling, who is regretting his decision. The projectiles slice through him, spraying more bug guts around as his limp, lifeless husk falls to the ground in segments. Chrysalis can feel the overwhelming fear emanating from her subjects increase ten-fold. At that moment, she began to question her decision of partnering with the monster known as Chad. Sure, she has her kingdom back, but at what cost? There's no way she could fight that, even if she wasn't in a weakened state right now. For fuck's sake, he killed Pharynx and captured Thorax in under ten minutes! Chad picks up the Nillious ball from Pharynx's viscera. Bastard must have failed to smash the ball, and fucking ate it! Not that it would have done anything either, I don't think... Meh, I have an army of bugs to serve as lackeys now. Hopefully they're more competent than stormtroopers, cause then they'd just be pointless cannon fodder that end up unknowingly giving the enemy target practice or something. I've always hated that trope in anime, just use your best weapon right away and fuck over the heroes' journey. Fucking morons. Chad takes a closer look at the jellybean bugs, then looks back at Chrysalis' pocked and blackened form. "So if they're your subjects, why don't they look like you? They looked more like their kings did." He whispers, giving an incredulous look completely hidden underneath his helmet. Although, Chrysalis could sense the confusion. "They were turned into those forms when the traitor Thorax told them that they could share their love freely. Before that, they looked like miniature versions of myself." Chrysalis explains in another whisper. "Gotcha. I have an idea..." Chad steps forward, demorphing to address the changelings more directly. "Changelings of this land, you have all been deceived by your former king Thorax." The changelings all look at each-other in varying degrees of confusion. Chad strikes a pose, pointing dramatically. "Sharing your love freely will only lead to heartbreak and misery! It might feel great at first, but you WILL be taken advantage of! Ever get into a relationship only to catch your significant other cheating on you? I have! Ever have someone use you to gain things, only to dump you after? I have! That's what love does! It lures you in only to take and take and take! How can you remain safe from it? Easy! Close yourself off! Never give anyone the chance to hurt you! Because they always will!" The changelings all whisper among themselves. Strangely enough, they all don't sense any kind of deception from this being, only the deep sadness buried underneath his undying rage. One appears to revert back to their old holed form. Slowly but surely, others start following suit, until all but a few have reverted. Those last few will see the truth in time... ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ The young six all start to recover from their little blackout from jumping to another dimension. All of them appear in the same kind of bipedal form the monster was in. All that is, except for Smolder... who looks vaguely like a doberman pinscher. "Um, Smolder? Are you a dog?" Sandbar asks, in disbelief of what he's seeing. Meanwhile, Gallus doubles over in laughter, pointing at Smolder's canine form. Just as Smolder was about to charge Gallus, Silverstream immediately picks her up in a tight hug. "Hey, watch it!" Smolder scolds, kicking her legs in protest. Silverstream sets Smolder down. "Sorry! You're just so huggable!" The group starts walking towards the nearby school. On all fours. That is, until Ocellus remembers something important about the monster. She stands up, balancing carefully, before walking forward. "Guys, like this!" She shows the rest of the group, who fumble around before standing up. Smolder tries, but she can't balance on her hind legs anymore. "Onward, to find Twilight!" Gallus triumphantly declares, the others following suit. Author's Note Finally finished this chapter. I have a plan... heheheheheh //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6: Research and Destruction //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 6: Research and Destruction Twilight, the young six, and the main seven all sit in the library, having met up shortly after arrival. Notes are scattered messily on the table, with a few laptops sitting around with multiple tabs open on various sites. The young six are browsing on a single laptop, looking at the information Princess Twilight brought up for them while she aids the main seven in their quest to find out more about the human that appeared in their world. "So you're saying that he's always wearing some kind of weird spandex suit, using powerful spinning top things, and even throws out marbles that turn into gigantic monsters? AND he's in human form despite being in Equestria?" Sunset asks Princess Twilight in disbelief. Princess Twilight nods. "Yes, but his proportions are different too. His head is smaller, and his body is a little larger. Not fat, just like ours but scaled up a bit. Discord already told us that he came from another dimension by force, and our magic doesn't affect him or his things at all." Pinkie looks at a tab on one of the laptops, pulling it up. "Wow, look at this! Apparently there's this team of superheroes called the Pony Rangers, but they change every season or so." She rotates the screen to the rest of the group, showing the Pony Rangers in question. "Isn't that a show for like, little kids?" Rainbow asks with a slight cringe. "Those are definitely it Pinkie! Wait... How many are there?" Princess Twilight queries. "Um... Twenty two. And each team usually has six to seven rangers." Pinkie states, scrolling through the list of teams. Princess Twilight looks carefully at each team. "Well... none of them look exactly like the ones he uses, but there's no doubt that he's using something similar to those." A thin, somewhat scruffy looking male student enters the library, walking past the table towards the bookshelves. He notices what they're all looking at and walks over, books in hand. "Hey, what's going on?" He asks, looking at the notes, sketches, and the screens like a nosy bastard. Princess Twilight sighs. "You wouldn't get it. Nopo- body else would really." "Yeah, so uh... Bye." Rainbow dismissively waves her hand. "Are those Power Rangers?" The male asks. "Um... Pony Rangers. I think you're getting them mixed up with the Power Ponies." Sunset says, a bit annoyed that this rando won't leave them alone when he clearly has no idea what's happening. "Oh, so that's what they are here. But no, see that sketch right there?" He points to the one with a white with black suit, with the red visor on the helmet. "That's a Power Ranger. The white Dinothunder one. And that red one over there's the SPD red ranger." Princess Twilight looks at him in amazement. "You recognize these things? I wonder... What about these?" She pulls out more sketches, one of Sol Blaze, and one of the Fangzor. "The red top is Sol Blaze, a beyblade from the Metal Saga. And that's a Bakugan from the reboot, Aurelus Fangzor. Why do you have sketches of these things?" The male sets his books down off to the side. "How do you even know what these are anyway?" Rainbow asks, suspicious of this random guy. "Uh, well... Now it's my turn to tell you that you wouldn't get it. But I can try anyway. I'm Tabletop, but that wasn't always the case. I kinda came from a world similar to, but different from this one. My old group of friends found this other group claiming that they could send you to any reality you wanted, and I ended up here. But, I ask again, why do you have sketches of all those things?" Tabletop asks. Princess Twilight's eye twitches. "Well, someone is using those things to attack us in a world on the other side of a mirror portal. He's completely destroyed a town and killed a lot of innocents." "Oh, so Equestria's being attacked by some displaced dude, got it." Tabletop states as if that were a normal thing to say. The whole group look to each-other in mild confusion. Sunset narrows her eyes. "We never mentioned Equestria by name." "Well, that's another complicated thing. This place, and Equestria, are considered fictional in my home dimension. Tv shows and movies, but so are those things you sketched out. Since I'm also technically an outsider, I could deal with this rampant person back in Equestria. I just need you to take me to him, or her, or them." Tabletop says with a totally straight face. Princess Twilight immediately grabs Tabletop and makes a mad dash out of the room. "Then there's no time to lose! You seem to know a lot about this stuff, so right now you're my best bet at preventing any more death and destruction!" Meanwhile, everyone else in the room besides Pinkie is having an existential crisis, testing if things are in fact real, their worldviews totally shattered thanks to Tabletop's words. ^~-=-/\/\/-=-~^ Chad leads a march into Canterlot with his newly acquired not as gay anymore bug horse army, wearing the green Mystic Force ranger suit. Chrysalis follows giddily at Chad's side, excited that she'll finally get her revenge on the ponies for all that they've done to foil her plans. Meanwhile, Chad just wants to watch it all burn. The ponies run and panic in fear at the sight, as guards make their charge at the army. Chad points to the guards, signalling the hive to attack. As the armies clash, Chad walks through the conflict unscathed, appearing at the other end where none other than Celestia and Luna both stand. Chrysalis emerges from the commotion as well, with a few scratches and bruises. "HALT! YOU HAVE COMMITTED UNSPEAKABLE CRIMES AGAINST EQUESTRIA AND ITS CITIZENS! YOUR REIGN OF TERROR ENDS HERE FIEND!" Luna bellows with her enraged Royal Canterlot voice™. Chad laughs, quite loudly and mirthfully. "If this is the most heinous thing in this world, it's even gayer than I thought!" Luna attempts to blast Chad with a powerful shot of magic. It fizzles out on contact, but does grab his attention. "You all seem to love using your magic sooooo much. Mind if I use it too?" Chad pulls out his magi-staff, using it to conjure volleys of vines aimed right for the princesses, who immediately blast them away. This gives Chad an opening to throw out a Darkus and a Haos Pegatrix. The sight of these Bakugan in particular momentarily startling the princesses. Chad converts his magi-staff into its axe mode, using the speed spell to charge the princesses head-on while the Bakugan flank them. They're hit a few times before teleporting nearby with a counter-attack blast of magic aimed at the Bakugan, which connects due to their immense size, knocking them back in a daze. Celestia attempts to block the fast-approaching Chad with a shield, only for it to shatter on contact with his axe. This causes Celestia to reel back in mental pain, as Luna is sent crashing into her. They topple over, a smug Chad standing above them triumphantly. "That almost tickled. For me, anyway..." Chad raises the axe for one final blow. "CHAD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Chad stiffens, frozen like a deer in the headlights. It... it can't be... I must be hallucinating, been in gay pony land too long. He turns, spotting a _ pony, still calling out to him as he rushes forward. Chad seems to recognize the pony, lowering his axe, only to point at the newcomer. "Who are you and why do you sound like Timmy!?" Chad yells, unsure if it's really him or not. "That's because it IS me Chad! What the HELL are you doing here!? Why are you being such an asshole!?" Tabletop, now dubbed Timmy yells as he closes the distance. Chad powers down, embracing the pony. "Timmy! I thought you were murdered by some weird ass cult bronies!" Chad exclaims, tears running down his face. "I wasn't. They kinda sent me here, well, not quite this place exactly, but to another world on the other side of a mirror from here.cause I thought it was all some joke or something, but they really did it. I didn't mean to actually leave you behind like that!" Timmy explains. Chad lets go of Timmy, looking at everything he's caused. He stands up, holding his arm up with a middle finger, the symbol he and Chrysalis agreed upon would mean to stop fighting. "I have an announcement to make for the changelings!" The changelings, and Chrysalis all look between each-other, confused. The guards all seem to be tied up, or unconscious. "Get out of here! All of you! You're free!" Chad announces. The changelings look at him with immense confusion, but Chrysalis is getting angry. But before she can react, Twilight pins her down. "That's an order." Chad says in a lower, colder tone. The changelings all disperse, heading back to the hive. "Traitors!" Chrysalis yells out in disdain, her plans having been foiled for yet another time. "You can't betray someone you're enslaved to." Chad says to the now former queen. Chrysalis looks at Chad, upset and distraught. "We were going to conquer this land together! You would have ruled it all! WE would have ruled it all!" "I would have destroyed and killed everyone once we'd done that, you included. But... Now that I know Timmy's been completely fine..." Chad falls to his knees, looking at his shaking hands. The guilt crashing on him like a tidal wave. "What... what have I done..." Author's Note Next chapter will be the conclusion to this madness. Now that Chad's revenge is moot, his conscience is finally revealed. How will he deal with all of the pain and death he's caused? We'll just have to wait and see.
