Sweetie Belle’s POV... Manehattan... Finally! I finally got accepted into the college of Advanced Arts in Manehattan! Why am I excited? Well, give me a minute to let out my excitement, then I can explain. YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAA! Ok, now I can explain. So, this is like my fifth time asking to attend for my singing, because I want to get better. The first submission I made was around three months ago, and apparently they said they “had enough singers.” The second time I couldn’t even remember, as the one thing that Button Mash, my colt friend- more about him later- said I was drunk when I read the response and threw it away. I asked why he didn’t read it first, but I don’t remember what he said. Oh well. Now that I’ve been accepted, I can finally get vocal lessons from a professional! Don’t get me wrong, Fluttershy is a great teacher, but at this point, I feel like I’m the teacher. I should get back to the point, shouldn’t I? “We gotta go, Sweetie Belle!” Oh, that’s my coltfriend, Button Mash- the one who I mentioned earlier- we’re about to board the train to Manehatten. My friends wanted to say goodbye, however they were busy. Apple Bloom’s on another one of her hunts for Silver Spoon, Scootaloo’s got another meeting with some business- which I really don’t care about, no offense to Scoots-, and I don’t know what Diamond Tiara’s doing. Oh, and I guess Bonnie’s doing her “princess studying”. If there’s something I don’t understand, it’s that. I’ll get into a rant about that later. If you’re curious, by the way, Button Mash got accepted as well, for I think something technological, I don’t know. I don’t feel like asking him right now, so I guess I’ll just gaze out the window. “Well those mountains sure do look pretty, don’t they?” I turned to my brown-coated coltfriend at his question. “I guess they do,” I replied, giggling a little, then looking back out the window. I don’t know how he does it, it’s either that goofy smile he puts on, or his voice (not to say I’m making fun of it), but somehow I end up at least giggling. I think I’ll just take a nap, I ate before I got on the train, but I had horrible sleep last night because I was too excited! But I didn’t go to sleep until two o’clock in the morning... Yea I’m going to catch up on sleep. Two hours later... I felt somepony nudging my shoulder, and I decided to wake up. The pony who was nudging me was Button Mash. Are we here already? That was fast. “How long was I asleep?” I asked that anyways, because it doesn’t take a train from Ponyville to get to Manehattan within five minutes. “About two hours,” Button replied, getting out of the seat and grabbing our stuff. What a gentlecolt, even when he may seem goofy at times, he has some manners. “We gotta get off or we’re gonna be ending up in Canterlot next.” “Eep!” I shrieked, I did not want to end up in Canterlot because of my lack of sleep. I got out of the seat as fast as I can, and ran out the train door, Button Mash following behind me. Once off I decided to go ahead and ask, “Are you going to a different college than I am?” “Yes, actually, I am,” he replied, “because anything to deal with technology is actually on the other side of town, from what I’ve heard.” I frowned a little, knowing that we were going to be so far apart. “But were going to still see each other, right?” “Of course we will! Why wouldn’t we?” That made my smile come back. “Besides, there’s still the weekends. And hey, maybe I can make something there that can make it easier for us to communicate with!” “And you won’t cheat on me, right?” I raised an eyebrow playfully. That made both of snicker for a little bit. “As long as you don’t cheat on me,” he stated, slyly smiling. I’ll give it to him for that one. “Guess we have ourselves a deal then, hmm?” We had another giggle, before he gave me my luggage, told me he loved me, and started galloping to get to his school. I didn’t even realize how far away we were until now, seeing as I have to walk the same distance to my college as he does to his. Twenty minutes later... I walked around the dorm area, which was surprisingly large, looking for the room labeled “D401”, whatever that meant. I think it’s the same thing in hotels too, like they have a letter than the number, just doesn’t make any sense to me. Anyways I finally arrived. I was told to go here because somepony was waiting for me... I wonder who that could be... “SWEETIE BELLE IT IS SO GOOD SEE YOU!” I get tackled by somepony before I could get a chance to look at them. “Who in the hay-?!” I stopped once I saw who it was that did so, “DIAMOND TIARA?!” “EEEEEEEEE!” We squealed together, still on the floor. I didn’t even know she was in Manehatten! I thought she was in Canterlot because her father found a company she could run there. I guess not! “Can you two get off the floor? I wanna be able to close the door!” I’m gonna guess that was her roommate, probably annoyed. “And keep it down while you’re at it, I don’t wanna be deaf by the time I leave her. Diamond Tiara got off me, as I rose to my hooves. “Heh heh, sorry. It’s just been awhile since we last talked.” “It’s alright. Sorry for my ‘outburst’, it’s just I was really working hard on something,” I notice a grey stallion’s head poke from the corner, “Name’s Trusty Brush, nice to meet ya!” We shake hooves, which put a question into my mind- one I vocalized-, “Wait, I thought they wouldn’t allow boys into dorms with girls?” “That’s what I first thought when I noticed I was gonna have a mare in my room instead of another stallion. That’s actually because they’re apparently, uh how do I put this, ‘experimenting’ something. They want to see if ponies, erm, do ‘things’ in their dorm when the opposite gender is in the room with them or not. They actually have a separate dorm where it’s the same gender in one room,” I am going to have a hard time remembering that. “I’m guessing that hasn’t happened with you two right?” I asked jokingly. “Of course we haven’t!” Diamond Tiara yelled, clearing her throat. “Of course we haven’t, because we’re not interested in each other. As surprising as that seems...” “However we do help each other out when we have homework for a subject one of us doesn’t understand,” I’m guessing Trusty knew what I was going to ask, because he then said, “And if you’re wondering, yes, for the first year you have to take normal courses.” “Huh? I thought you only needed to do that in schools in Canterlot?” I stated, bewildered. “I know, and I just got here a week ago. Let me tell you, it’s not fun,” she paused for a moment, “Oh! How are Scootaloo and Apple Bloom? Wait... is she still mad a Silver Spoon?” “Scootaloo’s doing her business stuff, and I’m guessing making more inventions. Apple Bloom is still going after Silver Spoon, yes, but last time I talked to her she said she was going to take a break... especially after jumping off a bridge and breaking every bone in her body. Again,” I replied. Apple Bloom better be bucking glad she has a healing factor. Even if she is reckless because of it, she’s also got cursed with immortality somehow. I can’t remember the story all to well, but I don’t think I’ll tell it if I remembered anyways. “I’m not even surprised by that anymore,” Diamond commented. I guess I’m not either, but she still worries me. Apple Bloom, not Diamond Tiara. Well I’m worried for both of them, I’m just more worried for- oh forget I said anything. “...could you two please mind explaining to me who Scootaloo and Apple Bloom are? And Silver Spoon, while you’re at it,” Trusty mentioned. I don’t like it when I say this, but I almost forgot he was there for a minute, honestly. Then me and Diamond Tiara explained who our friends were, and what happened with Apple Bloom and Silver Spoon (it really isn’t a secret anymore, right?) to Trusty Brush. He gasped at certain things, laughed, and I think he was going to cry at some points, but managed to hold it together. Wow, even when I mentioned the sad things to Button Mash, he wouldn’t stop crying for at least five minutes. Then again, no offense to him, his emotions are wack. I’m not going into detail about that though. That’d take an hour. Literally. “Well, that explains what you were talking about earlier. Wait, is she Death Blossomed then?” Trusty asked us. “Wait who?!” Diamond and I yelled at the same time. “Yea, they say in the newspapers here that there’s a vigilante, well what I prefer to call them, and apparently they’re named ‘Death Blossomed’. Thing is they keep going for Silver Spoon, or that’s what I find in the headlines most of the time. So, putting two and two together, I figured your friend Apple Bloom is ‘Death Blossomed’,” I’m pretty sure Diamond Tiara is baffled as much as I am by the grey unicorn’s (*I don’t remember if I mentioned it before, but yes, he is a unicorn) explanation. “What?” “I know Apple Bloom said she wasn’t going to be obvious, but I didn’t think she’d do it like that!” Diamond stole the words out of my mouth. “I figured that she just tried to get her in private, and finish it there. As dark as that sounds, it’s fitting at the same time. When I found out she was still alive the first year, I thought Apple Bloom was still planning it out. That, or with the reports of ‘Death Blossomed’, I thought she just hired a hit-pony to take her down,” My reasoning seems, well, reasonable. I didn’t feel like mentioning this to them either though, but I also already knew that Apple Bloom was Death Blossomed. Let’s just say she came up to the Boutique at two in the morning and needed her suit stitched up, and spilt the beans that she was going after Silver Spoon under that name. Actually she originally called herself Dead Apples, but I thought it sounded cheesy, so I told her to change it. I assisted her in the name choosing, as she wanted something to do with death and some resemblance of her name in it. “Well, let’s ignore Apple Bloom’s... situation and celebrate you’re arrival here, Sweetie Belle!” Diamond stated, changing the subject. She’s right, lets just enjoy each other’s company here at college! “By the way classes start tomorrow. You’re lucky to get in the day before they start them. They close doors after today. No other ponies allowed in until the school year begins again,” Trusty said. That explains why they didn’t except my letter three months ago! In a weird way, that makes sense. “Yeah, since you weren’t here for the announcements, which was a day after I got here by the way, they were super strict with what Brushy over here just mentioned. We can explain anything important from it, or anything you want to know,” if there is one habit Diamond hasn’t gotten over, it’s calling ponies the wrong name. At least it’s for fun this time around, compared to when we were younger. “It’s Trusty, thank you very much!” Trusty corrected her. “She does that for fun, not on purpose. Promise,” I assured him. Not like he was threatening her, I just wanted him to know, just in case. Then a thought ran through my mind, “Hay, I wish Pinkie Pie was here.” “Wait you were friends with her?!” Trusty’s question perplexed me, wasn’t everypony her friend. Well if he meant close friends, then that makes sense. “Yea, close in fact, why?” “She was a legendary party pony! I was so glad when she decided to host parties everywhere! But then, the Cheese Sandwich case came along... I’m pretty sure you know the rest. Assuming what you say is true...” oh right. Not many ponies like talking about that because Cheese Sandwich got Pinkie Pie killed. I’ll explain that at another time. “Can we please ignore this sadness? I think going to cry if anypony else mentions another sad thing,” why do I have feeling where Diamond is going with this..., “because my mascara will be ruined!” ...yea that’s what I thought. Never gets old, even though she doesn’t wear mascara anymore. “You’ve told that joke one too many times and it’s getting old, like milk or something. I dunno,” at least that got us laughing. What did I want to do first thing I got here? Oh right, SLEEP. “Hey, is there an extra room for me?” I ask. “I can show you, and around the dorm in fact,” Diamond Tiara then showed me around (like she said), and saved my room for last. Apparently they were going to us it as a guest room until I came along. At least it isn’t cluttered, like I thought it would’ve been. Usually when someone says “guest room”, they really meant storage room because the room is MESSY, to the point where I’d prefer sleeping on the couch. Thank Celestia it wasn’t like one of those. “Thank you, now if you’ll excuse me, sleep and I have to catch on things,” jokingly, I said. “Wake me up when dinner’s ready, please.” “No problem! Oh, and Trusty is a really good cook, you’ll like his cooking when you try it,” I recognize that smirk from anywhere, Diamond. “Better than your cooking!” “Ok, it’s been years and even I’ve improved!” “You burnt water, Sweetie Belle. You were even put in the Poniess World Record book for that!” “Shut up and let me sleep, please.” “You know I’m only teasing right?” “Whatever.” “Goodnight, Sweetie Belle.” “Good- I almost fell for that,” I glance over to see Diamond snickering, “almost.” Three hours later... SPLASH! AHHH WHY DID I JUST GET COLD WATER DUMPED ON ME OH SWEET CELESTIA I WILL PUNCH WHOEVER DID THAT- Oh it’s Diamond. Oh. Wait why’d she pour water on me?? “Great, now I’m freezing,” I blurt out. Oops. “Well, I tried telling you to wake up, shaking you, stuff like that. It was either I dumped water on you or I grabbed one of Brushy’s air horns- that he randomly keeps, I don’t remember why he keeps them- and blew it right into your ears. Brushy told me to go the least damaging route, so I just went with the water,” Diamond explained. Thank Celestia my ears were spared, or one of them. “Dinner’s ready, by the way. Here’s a towel to dry off. Also just throw your bedding in the dryer. After you eat, though.” Thanks for the advice, DT. And the towel. Thanks. “Ughhh...” I dry myself off, use telekinetic powers of a unicorn to pick up the bedding and towel, and put it in a laundry basket. Funny thing it was outside my room. Diamond has gotten really thoughtful over these past few years, and for the better. “Glad you can finally join us, Sleeping Beauty,” I Gabe Trusty Brush my “not in the mood” look, because I wasn’t. I mean I just got water dumped on me, cold water at that. “...anyways. Wanna watch some movies when we get done eating?” asked Tiara to me. I guess I won’t mind, seeing as we can probably fall asleep while watching the movie... or I will most likely fall asleep. It’s a bad habit, I know, but it’s gotten better to say the least. I thinks because Button kept nudging me every time I was about to sleep. I think if I try to fall asleep, I always think that he nudges me, so I wake up. Guess you could say I’m accustomed to it. “So what’d you cook?” I curiously asked. I want to know if he’s any better than Rarity’s cooking... or even Applejack’s. No, if it could beat Applejack’s, there’d be some competition going on. “As much as I wanted to let out the chef in me, I just went with something simple: spaghetti,” Trusty removed the lid to the pot that it was covering with his magic, and surely enough, it was spaghetti. He then opened the cabinets and grabbed three plates, opened a drawer and grabbed three forks and three spoons, and brought the items to the table. I’m a little disturbed eating the spaghetti, not because of the noodles, but because of the meat. I know where it comes from, and I know why we need it, so I’m not going to complain. “Bon appetite!” I told myself mentally, using the fork and grabbing some of the noodles. I use a certain technique that I’ve been mastering over the past few years, just so I don’t spaghetti sauce all over me. Anyways, I put the noodles in my mouth. Moment of truth, is his cooking good like Diamond Tiara proclaims? “WOW THAT IS SO GOOD! How’d you- oh my gosh!” I was at a loss of words, it was that good! “I told you she would like it!” Diamond yelled, pointing at Trusty, “Your cooking is bomb, Trusty!” “Why didn’t you take cooking classes instead?” Now that may seem rude, I know, but I’m just curious. He would ace those classes! “Have I even shown you my art pieces? You will be just as amazed as you are with my cooking if I were to show you it,” Trusty’s got a point there, I guess. We finally began eating, as we asked each other certain questions, like how life was before we got here, and what we’re planning to do when we finish, stuff like that. Once everypony was through eating, Diamond walked over to the TV, and started looking through some DVDs, I’m guessing that she and Trusty brought. Then I heard her gasp, and exclaiming, “Trusty! You watched the The Last Pegasus as a kid too?!” “Of course! The series and movies were cool! Minus the live action, it was poorly done,” The grey unicorn replied. “I can agree, I think it was just the fight scenes that were done poorly, nothing else,” I commented. What? I watched those to, and they were amazing to watch. “Except for that one scene where Aang does that water bending thing, now that was cool.” “Wait you mean the one where he’s just channeling it? And suddenly water is all around him?” “Yea! That scene!” “Even I have to admit, that scene was well done. Too bad that’s the only scene that I actually liked,” Diamond stated. “How about we binge watch the whole series?” “Don’t we need to worry about sleep?” “Nah, that can wait, it’s only 6:30 anyhow. It’s lights out at 9, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stay up.” “I guess you’re right... well what are we waiting for?! The Last Pegasus awaits us!” I say, making the three of us grin. “YEA!” We all yell, bumping hooves. This is going to the best first night at college ever! Author's Note Ok few things I wanna clear up: One: I don’t remember if I put the AU tag or not (I will if I hadn’t), but they are certain things that are VERY different. One of those things being popular series like The Last Airbender and a few others being referenced. That’s because they are TVs in Equestria a little over 6 years this story actually begins. Second thing is I made up my mind about Sweetie Belle’s origin, and decided to make it a two parter, with Diamond Tiara’s right in between. (Also the type of format I’m doing for both sides are bit of an experiment, as I’ve never done this before.) And last thing: please, by ALL MEANS, point out any typos/mistakes that will be greatly appreciated. And any other form of criticism, as that can help me learn to do better for this story, or any other stories for that matter. Thanks for writing, see ya next time, peace! //-------------------------------------------------------// Side Three: Chapter One //-------------------------------------------------------// Side Three: Chapter One Diamond Tiara’s POV... Last night was amazing. Scratch that, the entirety of yesterday was AWESOME! Sweetie Belle arrived at the college, we binge-watched The Last Pegasus, and... I can’t put it into words it was so much fun EEEEEE! Nothing nasty happened before you get confused, it was just that much fun! We, of course, got each other caught up on things, and discussed what we were going to do in college. Sweetie Belle obviously was going to do singing, I’m going to try modeling, and if it doesn’t work out for me, I’ll do drama class. Trusty Brush is going to do art, because by Celestia’s mane is his work beautiful. He does very well in scenic artwork, but he wants to get better at drawing ponies. I can agree with him they aren’t good, but they aren’t bad either. It’s in the middle on that aspect. Right now we’re trotting to our classes, as we finished breakfast just five minutes ago. We all have different classes (obviously), and Trusty already went to his first one, which I believe was math. Sweetie’s first one is history, and mine’s science. Okay really it’s biology, but same difference. “Oh! Here’s my class,” Sweetie Belle spoke up, pointing to her room. “I’ll see you in a while I guess!” “The next time we won’t see each is other is at lunch, you know that right?” I questioned, because I went over with her about this just this morning. “Oh I know, I was just saying, because what if we run into each other in the halls?” She has a point there, oh well. “Alright see ya later then,” I began walking to my classroom. Looks like I’m alone now. Well who knows, maybe I can befriend some ponies. Knowing how long it took me to become friends with Trusty Brush, maybe I can make some quick friends between classes. I say between because I’m pretty sure you don’t want to tick off the professors. I’ve heard that some of them are pretty laid back, but some are, like, insanely strict. That or maybe that’s the myths I’ve heard from my parents, but oh well. Let’s see how they are. “Welcome, take a seat wherever I don’t care,” the teacher I’m guessing greeted me. I have the high debate as to either call it “greeting” or just “acknowledging my presence.” Well they then continued, “Oh you can pet that spider over there, but be warned, ponies say it’s radioactive. I don’t believe that, because if it was...” Yea I’m gonna listen to that tangent. Can I openly ask this... WHY THE HELL WOULD HAVE A SPIDER THATS RADIOACTIVE?! Or could be, not the point! You are insane to do that. I’m not afraid of spiders, in fact I had one while I was younger (Dad unfortunately killed it one day on accident, but I wasn’t there when it happened so I don’t really believe. He hates spiders. The fact that he allowed me to have one is impressive.), but I’m going to be a little cautious. Yes I’m going to pet it, why not? I very carefully open the spider’s— uh, pet box?— and decided to reach my hoof in there. I didn’t put much of it in there, just the tip. Wait a minute, I just realized I didn’t even see where it was before I put my hoof in there. Oh dear. I really hope it doesn’t- “AHHHHH IT BIT ME IT BIT MEEEEE!!!” Speak of the devil! It bit me! “AHHHHHHHHH!” “Well don’t worry, you’ll probably just need to go to the nurse, she’ll take of it,” this mare literally doesn’t give a damn, I just got bit by a SPIDER, with the POSSIBILITY of being RADIOACTIVE! “Diamond Tiara what happened?!” I suddenly heard Sweetie Belle ask. I almost forgot our classrooms were five minutes apart. Almost. “A radioactive spider just bit me!” I yelled at her. “It isn’t actually radioactive, take a joke everyone once in a while!” Okay lady you did not sound like you were joking. “Just go to the nurse’s office if you’re that paranoid.” “I can check it,” I looked at Sweetie Belle confused, “What? One time Rarity got bit by a spider and wanted me to check if it was poisonous or not, she walked me through it, and we were able to treat it. Luckily it wasn’t poisonous.” “If you say so, you’ve got ten minutes, so make it quick,” this mare literally doesn’t give a care. Sweetie Belle used her magic to grab something from her bag, which I immediately recognized. “A magnifying glass? Don’t you need to put it under a microscope or something?” “Well, not really. The bite’s not that small, Diamond,” Sweetie Belle said. “May I see your hoof, Di?” “Oh yea, right,” I extended my hoof which had the bite, Sweetie Belle then put the magnifying glass over it. “Anything?” “Nope, you’re good. It’s just gonna leave a mark, that’s all,” Sweetie Belle put the magnifying glass back into her bag, and grabbed a bandage, “but we can’t let it get infected because of exposure. Just keep it on and let me check on it at lunch.” “Why aren’t you studying to be a nurse?” “It’s what Rarity asked me before I left. I told her it’s because it’d probably take too long to get my degree, while singing doesn’t take as much.” “Never thought of it like that, now that I think about it.” “Are you two done chitchatting? You’ve literally got a minute till class,” the teacher randomly spoke up. Sweetie’s eats went up in alarm, I guess. “I’ve got to go! See ya at lunch Di!” She then ran out of the room and down to her classroom. I mean when you have a minute left before you’re counted tardy, I guess you gotta go then! Wait didn’t she already... I’ll ask her after class, if I remember. If being the keyword there. The bell then rang, I’m hoping she made it back to class. I went back to my seat, as other young stallions and mares were coming in. Then the class began, and that’s it. Nothing else unusual or weird happened. Just the teacher- or I guess they’re called professors, I don’t know I’m used to calling them teachers- telling us stuff about how the pony body works, and I we have to write an assignment about which part of the body is... eh I didn’t really pay attention to that. I just wrote it in my notebook and left the class. I don’t feel like pulling it out and just telling you what it was. Point is: really boring. I was heading towards my next class, and they had these huge windows in the hallways, so I thought “Hmm, maybe I should take a look outside.” The reason why I thought that is because the view from here looks AMAZING! I don’t know why, but I suddenly got a tingly feeling going on in the back of my head. I decided to move away from the window so I can figure out why in the world it’s doing that. However, when I moved away from the window, the feeling went away, and I turned around to some stallion bolting through the hallway. Jeez, if I was still standing there, it would’ve been a pain to recover from it. Wait, if I had that strange feeling going on and that happened, is that because... No because the professor said it wasn’t radioactive. Maybe it’s a coincidence, I don’t know. Stranger things have happened, so I shouldn’t be one to ask, but it’s the fact that it’s happening to me directly. I’ll figure it out later. Now where do I go... oh right. Math class. I hated math class in school, especially in high school. What am I going to need to know polynomials for if I’m never going to use them?? Ugh, this’ll be a long first day today, isn’t it? Oh well. One hour later... FINALLY FREE FROM THAT CLASS THAT DARES GO BY LOGIC! Math was soo hard, and I’m not even EXAGGERATING! Okay maybe by a little I am, but agree with me on this: math sucks! If you like math how are you even a pony? Jokes aside, I had one more class then it was lunch. Wait what’s my next class? ...oh English, I can dominate that! Let’s go! Ugh, that stupid tingly feeling in my head again! I just went ahead and put my head down, even though I knew it wasn’t a headache. Well just when I put my head down, a book flies past where my head would’ve been and instead lands in front of me. My ears perked up, probably because something could’ve knocked me out, like that book. “Oh I’m sorry terribly sorry!” Some mare said walking over to me. “Are you hurt?!” “No, I’m fine,” I replied, “how did your book get over here?” “I tripped and I accidentally threw it,” Is this mare clumsy?? Almost reminds me of Derpy... except she had a reason. “Again. I apologize for my clumsiness.” Glad to know you admitted it, “Well I accept your apology, bye.” I began walking away towards my next class, hoping that she has a different class. Thankfully, she did. I walked into the English classroom, and I couldn’t find the teacher. Aren’t teachers always supposed to be on time, like the students? “Boo!” I jumped at the sound of the voice, and I turned around to see, who I’m going to guess, was the teacher. “Did I scare you? You’ve go to tell me!” “Yes, and also, are you the teacher?” I was going to ask that no matter what. “Indeed I am, but I’m a little playful if you couldn’t tell,” I just realized he (yes, it was a he) is a unicorn. Now it makes sense how he was invisible. “The other students should take a bit, and since it is your- if not everyone’s- first day, you get to pick where you sit.” Yes! If there was one thing I admit I never liked in school, I couldn’t pick my seat. In elementary I wanted to sit next to Silver Spoon, but I had to sit next to Apple Bloom- if you didn’t know we were enemies at the time, Apple Bloom and I- and in high school, after myself and Silvy made up with the CMC, I still couldn’t sit anywhere near my friends. Well I got the window seat in high school, so I guess that’s one upside. I’m still going for the window seat, probably towards the back... no actually I’ll go in the middle. I’ll still be at a window seat, just not too far in the back where I can’t be seen, but not in the front where I’m like right there. I need to remember to tell Sweetie and Trusty about those tingly feelings I got earlier. Although we’ll have to explain to Trusty what happened at science, I don’t think it’ll be a bother. First things first, though, get through English. Then discuss things at lunch with friends. Author's Note Alright so the reason this took a while is because I was also working on Scootaloo’s first chapter, and I was also doing some other stories at the time. So yes, HERE IS YOUR UPDATE FOLKS! There will be an intermission (which really is just a joke, not to be taken seriously), then Scootaloo’s chapter should come out. However if that intermission doesn’t come out, don’t worry, it isn’t important. //-------------------------------------------------------// Side 1: Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Side 1: Chapter 1 Yes a Deadpool/MLP crossover, parody, whatever. Enjoy! I’ve been fighting crime, for what, three years now? Eh, kinda forgot honestly. Yea, I’m telling you right now, it ain’t easy. A girl, born and raised on a farm in the country fighting crime, crazy right? You were probably expecting a certain pink pony I know of, but that’s besides the point. It isn’t about her, it’s about me. What am I doing at this very moment, you’re wondering? Well, I’m chasing this chariot which has the exact pony I’m looking for. I’ll tell you more about them later. I’m having to run on top of buildings just so I can keep up with this stupid thing. Like why are y’all in a rush? It’s not like they know I’m here. Then again, they could’ve seen me. Not the ponies operating the chariot, put the passenger inside it. Yea, maybe they saw me and wanted to get as far away from me as possible. Listen here bitch, you ruined my life. Don’t think you’re getting off Scott-free because of that. Probably not just my life, perhaps thousands of others. All these years have been worked up for this. Taking a right I see? You probably think I’m on the side of buildings. Think again you no-good bastard. Wait... ah shit! I just realized the jump I’m gonna have to make. I’ll give it to her for that one. We were friends once, you know, best of friends in fact. Well, not better than my other friends, but close to it. I just wish I had reconsidered that offer. I’m not gonna cut her any slack. She knew something was coming, good or bad. I’d seen what had happened to other ponies, and yet I just went with it. I’m not blaming myself for anything. Just to let ya know. Oh by the way, I made that jump, and I’m already back next to her, in a way. Still on top of a building, but like that bothers me. Just waiting for the right moment to strike. I’m pretty sure I have enough bullets to take down her allies. Wait... do I?! Of course I forget to bring the fucking satchel right when I need it! Dammit, why do I do this to myself? Then again, I probably wouldn’t be here right now, if I wasn’t diagnosed with cancer. Oh, I guess a little story time meanwhile I’m on this chase. Yea, guess it won’t hurt no pony. So, it all started around four years ago... I was at the highlight of my life. It was great! Four years ago... third person POV... The yellow mare looked herself over in the mirror, double checking she looked good for tonight. Tonight was the night. After all these years, she finally brought herself to ask her longtime friend, and crush, Bonnie, the Princess of Harmony. Well... she didn’t remember what she was Princess of, and she wasn’t deemed princess yet, but she has to wait five more years to be as such, which was fine with her. A familiar light green aura showed itself, with a bow tie, placing it on the mare looking at herself. Then in the mirror appeared a pure white mare, with a purple and pink mixed mane in tail, although the pink seemed more dominant then the other color. It was still noticeable, however. “Listen, Apple Bloom,” the white mare began, making sure that bow was neat on her friends collar, “you will do great, and Bonnie will be happy. You know she’s been crushing on you too, right? I bet she’s surprised you made the first move.” “Ah know Sweetie Belle, Ah know,” Apple Bloom, with her thick southern accent, spoke, looking towards her unicorn friend. “But, what if it’s all for naught?” “It won’t be, I promise. You’ve been filled with courage the whole time you’ve had to wait, and now, on the big day, you’re scared?” The farmer looked at the singer, shrugging her shoulders. “Where’s the mare that said last night that tonight was gonna be the best night of her life? Has her confidence, disappeared? Or is it still there, just hiding, waiting to come out?” “Ah guess you’re right,” Apple Bloom sighed, smiling sheepishly, “Ah guess Ah was just overthinking about this whole thing going wrong.” “Trust me, you have no idea how hard it was for me to ask Button Mash out. Actually he was the one who asked me out... you get the idea!” The red maned mare did nothing but giggle at her friend’s embarrassment, “Point is, don’t be afraid. If it goes wrong, oh well, doesn’t mean that you still can’t be friends, right?” “Ah guess the fact that she’s gonna be a princess was making my head spin. It’s four years, right?” The white unicorn face-hoofed, the earth pony now confused. “It’s five Apple Bloom. That means more time to be with her, if all goes well, right?” The unicorn smiled reassuringly to her friend, which seemed to brighten her mood. “Thanks, Sweetie. Don’t know where I’d be without ya,” the two shared a little laugh, just for the heck of it. “Well that’s good, because you’re date’s in about ten minutes, so I suggest you get there if you want to impress her,” and just like that, Apple Bloom was out of the house. Sweetie Belle giggles to herself, knowing how she and friends could get ahead of themselves. Speaking of which... “I have to be at a concert by seven! Horseapples!” And Sweetie Belle took off in a dash out of the building as well, in the opposite direction of where Apple Bloom went, however. Speaking of Apple Bloom... The farm pony ran faster than she could think, with the only thing on her mind being the restaurant they promised to meet at. “There it is,” She mentally told herself, “the Frappe Highway...” Flashback end... back to Apple Bloom’s POV... Why we decided to meet at a fancy restaurant instead of going somewhere that wouldn’t have cared if we got messy is beyond me. I did say it was her choice, so I guess that doesn’t matter. I wonder how she’s doing right now... oh well. Maybe I can check on her after I get this bastard to jail... or kill them. I leaped from the building I was on, and pulled sword out, so I have something to grab onto for landing. Whether or not it’s safe, I don’t know, you tell me. I’m gonna guess they tried to throw me off, because they just came to a screeching halt. Like this: RRRRRRRGGGHH. I don’t know, sounds like that to me. Let’s just say they failed at throwing me off. Over the years, Equestria’s been giving the other races a chance to fight at a medium range, and I guess long range at that? Meh, that’s not the reason why I’m mentioning this. The reason why I am is because, they’ve decided to give some pegasi and most earth ponies guns! Of course I needed a few of those, even my regenerative ability, despite being able to keep me alive, can’t keep up forever. Anyways, I begin cutting a hole in the roof, as it’s made of leather, of the chariot, my prize awaiting me down below. I could hear her frantically shouting “What are you idiots doing? Shoot her!” Honey, they have NO idea where I’m at. Tough luck for you, good luck for me, heh heh. Once I got finished I pulled it opened and hopped inside, greeting the pony I’ve been looking for, “Hi there! Missed me?” “Of course not! I wished you died back at the experiment, actually.” “Well you missed me if ya know who Ah am,” Dangit, the accent’s cutting through. That’d just made MORE obvious. “So Apple Bloom, how’s life been?” I can see her smirk through my mask, and she can’t see how angry I am. “Oh let me think, hmm, it’s sunshine and rainbows for me, yea- ITS LIKE HELL WHAT DO YA THINK?!” “Really? I’m surprised you don’t have wanted posters yet.” She is THIS close to me snapping her neck right here right now because of her taunting. Son of a bitch... “If you don’t shut up, they’ll have missing ponies posters for YOU!” I put my hoof to her chest, letting her know I’m dead serious. “And besides, you know what Ah want.” “I told you before, I can’t FIX THAT! You brought this upon yourself!” That was when a grin grew across her face. “And it’s good that you’re hear. I need you...” “Oh please, the only place I’m going with you is your GRAVE, missy,” I scoffed, reaching for one of my swords, “and besides, Silver Spoon, even if you did catch me, Ah always have a way out. Whether or not ponies have to die is not on me,” I point the sword to her chest, “but on you.” “Oh Apple Bloom, you think I’m that stupid to make myself a helpless target?” She went to grab something from her bag, “I came prepared.” The next thing I knew, my body was being electrocuted, with me yelling, “SON OF A FUCKING BITCH!”, causing me to back away from her. She then bucked me right in the face, twice. The third time she tried to buck me I grabbed her hooves, and crushed them. She screamed in pain, which was music to my ears. “Karma’s a bitch, huh?” I said flatly, bucking her in the face. Then there went the horns. Shit, gotta go. I go back the hole I came from, looking back at my former tormentor, who pretended to be my friend just to ruin me. “See you in hell, sweetheart.” Wait, why’s Bonnie here? I thought Celestia handled these matters! Wait, I think I know why she’s here. “Well, didn’t expect you of all ponies to be here. Completely honest,” I walked towards my friend, which I guess we still are as she helps me at times, her guards pointing guns at me. “Relax, gentlecolts, Ah wont shoot her. She’s like my partner in crime, right?” She sighed, signaling the stallions to hold their fire, “Listen, Apple Bloom. I’m not even a princess yet, but I have to keep watch on you from now. Celestia’s orders,” that sun-controlling bitch. Can’t she leave my business to myself?! “So, what? You’re gonna lock me away until Ah ‘control myself’?” I taunted her, laughing a bit. “No, you’re going to come with me, because I have a feeling you can use your powers for good. Not trying to get revenge,” Great, I have a feeling where this is going. “Oh jeez, Ah’ve already told you last time once that Ah have a different way of justice.” “Do I really need to fight you? You know I can easily beat you, special powers or not.” “Well, maybe you’re right, maybe you’re wrong,” I let a smirk appear across my muzzle. “Surprise punch!” I noticed the guys take out their guns/readying their magic, but Bonnie gave them a motion to stop. I wanna know why... “OW!” That’s why... yea apparently she made her body feel like steel. What kind of move does that?! “King’s Shield, to answer your question,” I guess I said that out loud, that or she read my mind. Oh well. Well, now my right forehoof is broke, doesn’t mean I still have another to use. “Well, Ah guess that’s a bummer...” I flail the limb around just to double check, and yep, it is broken. “UPPERCUT!” I attempted to, well, uppercut her from the neck, only for there to be more pain. “DEAR CELESTIA THAT HURTS MORE THAN A TRAIN CRUSHING YOURE ENTIRE BODY!” “What? When did that happen?” Oh that’ll be a story to tell, if she’d even care to listen anyway. “Yea, interesting story really, it’s a long one, but it’s a good one... HEADBUTT!” Shouldn’t have done that. “CAN YOU STOP THAT HOLY HELL!” I just broke my muzzle. Good job me! I’m a moron. “Just come with me,” she wrapped a cuff around my left hoof, and proceeded to drag me. Shoulda took my weapons, honey. Kicking the sword holder with my back hoof, I grab the sword with my mouth, and proceed to cut my hoof. It’s a little harder with the suit on, but hey, NO WAY I’m ready to talk about my life from these past three years. Not yet, anyway. “Uh... ma’am?” One of the guards said, making her turn just as I was finishing cutting my hoof off. A little blood splattered on her face, when I pulled away, causing a LOT more blood to splatter. Thank Celestia I still had my back legs, and also for the fact that there was a place I could fall to. I ran over there on my hind hooves, and jumped, just before one of the guards could grab me. “SEE YA SUCKERS!” I yell, plummeting to the ground. It won’t kill me, don’t worry, but it will hurt like HELL. “Just leave her be, we can get her later,” I faintly her Bonnie say, before the rest of the guards leave. That’s when my head hit the ground, and my world went black. Ow... ugh. I really need to figure out some better plans. Especially now that Bonnie’s going after me.
