Twilight was looking at a book that had illustrations of Equestria inside it in her castle. The book was a wonderful experience since Twilight sometimes couldnt go to these places that were pictured inside the book.
As Twilight looked at the book Fluttershy poked her gently, Twilight turned to look at her and was suprised Fluttershy was there.
"Asalamu alaykum Twilight!" Fluttershy greeted.
Alaykumu s-Salam." Twilight greeted back with a smile.
"I didnt see you there. You're very quiet when you walk. What's the matter?" Twilight said.
"Celestia wants you to deliver a motivational speech to the public about your faith and your life, she wants you to send a positive message to Equestria." Fluttershy said. Twilight was already shaking her head.
"No I dont want to shove my my religious beliefs down people's throats. Celestia's idea is bad. I will be attacked." Twilight said.
"Twilight you wont be attacked. They should be grateful for the way you stopped that criminal activity going on in Appleloosa." Fluttershy exclaimed kindly.
"Why does Celestia think that this is a good idea? Nobody will want to hear that I'm a muslim. I'll be attacked for years to come." Twilight said.
"Twilight I dont think they will mind. You saved Equestria from that criminal activity in Appleloosa and everyone is grateful for you doing that so they shouldnt mind what your belief is! Come on Twilight please Celestia really wants you to speak at this event." Rarity said. Twilight sighed.
"It cant be delivered in a mosque?" Twilight asked with a frown." Rarity shook her head.
"No. Celestia thinks it would be amazing if you bravely spoke about your religious beliefs in public. She thinks their is to much intolerance that muslims face so she wants you to bravely speak about your belief in public and stand in solidarity with the Equestria Muslim community." Rarity suggested. Twilight thought about it. Finally she made up agreed to go.
"Alright I'll do it. I dont know how well the speech Is going to turn out but we can hope for the best." Twilight said.
Rarity nodded and went and told Celestoa and they set up the speech. During the days before her speech Twilight feared that people would hate the speech including bigoted people who hated other religions.
Twilight knew that Celestia and her would face backlash because of the speech since they were giving the speech in a non religious area but at the same time her and Celestia knew that Equestria needed to hear it.
Twilight wrote her speech and made sure it was perfect. It was long but quick to the point. She hoped this speech woulent be humiliating.
Soon it was the day of the speech. A crowd surrounded Twilight who was on a stage. The crowd was huge as people from all over Equestria came to hear the speech.
The crowd contained a massive amount of people who knew Twilight and some who didnt know her. Her friends were their as well.
Twilight knew there was no chance of bailing now as she couldnt run and hide. She was just going to have to deliver the speech. She knew that many people would be booing her but she had to do it. Twilight waited for the crowd to calm down and Celestia introduced Twilight.
"Hello faithful citizens of Equestria. Twilight would like to deliver a speech I think all of us should hear. So please no talking during the speech. Thank you. The floor is yours Princess Twilight." Celestia announced.
Celestia went back into the crowd as the crowd clapped for her. Twilight could hear her heart beating a mile a minute. She was so nervous. Finally the audiance calmed down and Twilight spoke.
"Hello everybody I'm princess Twilight. It's all so nice to be able to speak to you. As you all know this is my most major speech that I will ever make in my life and I'm truly grateful for that." Twilight said. Twilight looked around at people's faces as they all watched her. Rainbow Dash flashed a grin and held a thumbs up encouraging her. Twilight smiled and resumed.
"As you all know as a princess I have saved Equestria numerous times with my friends. The elements of harmony proved to be useful for this, I was always happy when I hung out with my friends and was happy saving Equestria but then I realized how I wasnt saved." Twilight said.
Twilight began to hesitate but her friends silently cheered her on which gave Twilight courage to continue.
"One year ago I suffered a major accident that gave me a head injury and cracked ribs. I was walking along the trail to the Crystal Empire by myself as the train had broken down that day. I slid on some ice and fell on my legs and crushed my legs against a boulder that was a few seconds ahead of me." Twilight said.
The audiance could feel the intensity in the area as they were enraptured by the speech they listened to Twilight's every word. Some of them started to tear up and sob.
"I did I everything I could even if I felt helpless. I called for help and pleaded for someone to save me. I started crying for my mother but nobody came. I didnt bring any magic from an element with me so I couldnt heal myself I knew I was going to die their. I shut my eyes as I suffered while blood pooled out of me." Twilight continued. The audiance was now sobbing as tears fell down everyone's cheeks as the speech was so sad.
"I thought I was going to die at that very moment but then something amazing happened, i head a voice...speak to me...I didnt know who this voice was but this voice gave me peace of mind. It told me I was going to make it. Somehow I believed it." Twilight said. Twilight wiped her own tears away as her own story was making her cry as she was relieving the memory.
"Soon the paramedics arrived and performed an emergency operation on me and sent me to Ponyville General. I recovered their and while I did I kept thinking back to the time I heard that voice." Twilight continued.
"I needed to clear my head and find what was searching for. Soon I had the strongest feeling that I should contact someone. So I called my mother and asked her to send someone and you'll never guess who she sent to talk to me." Twilight said.
"She sent Apple Bloom. My mother talked to Applejack about it and Applejack agreed to let Apple Bloom come and talk to me. Before she came their I thought about killing myself. I just wanted the pain to end. I wanted my suffering to be over with." Twilight said.
"But before I could do anything irrational Apple Bloom arrived at that moment and walked inside my room as she had been out from school because of a bad dislocation in her arm which the doctors fixed and healed right before she met up with me." Twilight said. Twilight took a deep breath and continued as everybody smiled on.
"Apple Bloom asked me how I was feeling and I cried about how I was feeling at that moment. Apple Bloom hugged me which was so comforting and shocking since she never hugged anyone and then she did something else. She reached into her bag and showed me a copy of the Koran. She had it with her because her class was doing an entire segment of different religions and cultures and she said that it might comfort me if I read a few pages of it. So I did and I became hooked. I read the entire thing in one day. That was when I felt a strong urgency of wanting to know more." Twilight continued to explain.
Twilight was now at the end so Twilight decided to finish it up in a impactful way.
"After that I did some research on Islam wondering If I should look into the religion more and decided to go talk to an Imam who I wont name due to privacy reasons. After hours of research I spent a few more days looking at other religions but that was all it took to make my final decision.
"I converted to islam after ten days and everything for me became so much happier. I was no longer depressed about my accident and the pain from my accident went way!" Twilight explained.
"I started getting really involved in the religion, I started to observe the five pillars of Islam and I stopped drinking alchohol. I submitted myself to the religion and found happiness." Twilight explained. Twilight smiled and went on to the most controversial part of the speech.
"It made me realize that maybe if we all stopped being violent and stopped putting ourselves on a pedestal and stopped attacking people with different religious beliefs and stopped attacking practicioners of Islam maybe we could all strive for happiness that Allah can bless upon us." Twilight said with a huge smile.
Celestia nodded in agreement while Rarity blotted at her tears with a fancy handkerchief.
"Thank you for letting me speak." Twilight said. After she stopped speaking the audiance broke our in massive applause. Twilight giggled as she wiped at her eyes.
Celestia soon came back up on stage and hugged Twilight while Twilight hugged her back. They hugged for a long time. Finally they broke away from the hug and Celestia told her that she did a good job.
Twilight soon went to meet her friends who praised her for the speech.
"Oh Twilight! That was simply amazing!" Rarity said as she cried profusely. Twilight giggled.
"Are you kidding me!? It wasnt just amazing it was awesome!" Rainbow dash exclaimed sounding like her usual self.
"You did mighty fine out their Twilight." Applejack said.
"We should celebrate with a party!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed happily.
"Yay." Fluttershy cheered softly. Twilight smiled at them all.
"Thanks girls! Let's go celebrate." Twilight said. Twilight and her friends left and celebrated how successful Twilight's speech was.
A few days passed and reports from all over Equestria reported of people who read transcripts of the speech that were sent after the fact loved it and were inspired by Twilight's story. Soon alot of people started to respect people's religious beliefs. Twilight realized how helpful her speech was.
