My Brave Pony Alternate Adventures

Their majesties reappeared in the middle of the Forbidden Forest. The heat was mild and the mosquitoes buzzed loudly as monkey's howled through the treetops and growls of the wild cats were heard echoing through. "Alright... where do we go now?" Celestia asked. Grand Ruler took out and unrolled the map again and this time it showed a path leading from where they were to the temple which was marked with a big, red, X.

"I guess we go this way, come on." Grand Ruler lead on with Celestia followed. Unaware that there was a pair of eyes watching them. "So these two are after the Light Flower as well. Well they won't stand in my way." he turned to his four pets, "You know what to do." The pets nodded and stalked off into the jungle.

Meanwhile, their majesties were walking through the jungle, following the path. "Okay, the temple should be a few more yards up ahead." Celesto stated.

"Alright darling."

*GROWL*

Their majesties froze when they heard a growl. "What was that?" Celestia said.

"Probably nothing, let's keep going." Grand Ruler replied quickly. They walked a little quicker than before but they heard the growl again and froze.

"Darling, please tell me that was your stomach." Grand Ruler whimpered.

"Nope."

That's when five cats appeared around them; A tiger, leopard, jaguar and a caracal and a small little kitten. Their majesties stood back to back with each other as they head a menacing laughter. That's when a creature appeared It looked like a normal four-legged pony but it had the wings and front claws of an eagle and the back of a pony. It was white with black tipped wings and a eye patch over his left eye, showing some part of the scar.

"Who are you?" Grand Ruler asked.

"The names, Moonshine, ponies and I'm here to retreive the Light Flower." he said. "And you two are not standing in my way, so give me the map this instant." Grand Ruler clutched the map to his chest, "Never!"

"Very well then... attack them my pets!" The cats growled and lunged towards their majesties but at the last second, their majesties teleported away, making the cats crash into each other. They reappeared a few feet away and they ran away. "After them!" The cats untangled themselves and rushed after the ponies.

Their majesties swerved in and out of the trees as the cats chased after them. Celestia suddenly tripped on a root and fell to the ground, "OW!"

"Gasp, Celestia!" Grand Ruler helped her to her feet and she felt a sharp pain in her right ankle. "I think I sprained my ankle." she groaned. They could her the cats closing in, "Come on, hurry." Grand Ruler supported Celestia as the two of them hurried along. They suddenly came to a large chasm in their path, "Come on, darling. Fly." Grand Ruler and Celestia spread their wings and flew over the chasm as the cats stopped at the edge and watched as their majesties flew to the other side of the chasm. They landed on the other side and gave a sigh of relief.

"That was close." Celestia said. She turned around and gasped, "Darling."

"Huh?" Grand Ruler turned and saw a large temple before them. Celesto held up the map and the big, red X was glowing. "Looks like this is the temple." he said.

He helped his wife to her feet and supported her as they both walked towards the temple. There were torches lit on the sides of the temple. The smell of decay and danger hit their majesties as they walked down the hallway of the dimly lit temple. Spiders scurried across the floor and snakes slithered across the walls. "Creepy." Celestia said.

"Indeed." Suddenly, a plank sank underneath Grand Ruler's boot, "GET DOWN!" he cried as axes came and almost hit their heads. "Yikes." Celestia whimpered.

"RUN!" Their majesties flew down the hallway as fast they could, miraculously dodging the obstacles in their way; arrows, crocodiles and spikes. Finally, they made it to a chamber as the door shut behind them. "Phew." Grand Ruler sighed.

Their majesties turned and found themselves in a large room with a podium at the end of it and floating above that podium was "The Light Flower." Celestia gasped. "Let's go."

"Wait!" Grand Ruler halted his wife and looked carefully at the floor. It looked like a checkerboard except it's colors was brown and their were pictures of griffon, hippogriff and an alicorn on them. He looked at one of the walls and saw multiple holes. He pushed a pebble onto one of the blocks. It sank and arrows shot out of the holes and struck the other wall!

"Yikes." Celestia whimpered. "Better not step on the wrong pictures."

They both looked at all the blocks. "There must be a pattern here; What do these three creatures have in common?" Grand Ruler asked.

"Well... the griffon and hippogriff are part eagle but an alicorn isn't?" Celestia questioned. "Let's give it a try." She carefully stepped on one of the alicorn blocks... it didn't sank meaning it was the right one. "Phew." they both sighed. They both carefully made their way to the podium, only stepping on the alicorn blocks. Finally, they made it to the other side and approached the podium.

"So... should we just take it?" Celestia asked.

"I think so." Grand Ruler gently grabbed the flower and placed it in a small container, so it wouldn't become damaged. "One item down only two more to go." Just then, the two of them heard a clicking sound and saw the little stand where the flower was on the podium sink down. "That can't be good." Celestia said and she was right.

Rocks started falling from the ceiling and the whole place started shaking. "It's caving in!"

"Let's get out of here!" Grand Ruler cried. The two of them spread their wings and quickly flew out through the hole in the top of the temple. Just then, a large burst of wind, blasted the two, sending them both into a tail spin and they crashed into the jungle.

"Ugh.... Celestia? Are you okay?" Grand Ruler asked, but he didn't hear a reply. "Celesta?"

Now he was getting worried, "Celestia? Where are you?"

"Celesto! Help!"

"Celestia!" Grand Ruler rushed through the jungle in the direction of the plea. He found himself in a clearing where he saw Moonshine and his cats. Moonshine was holding Celestia with an arm around her neck. "Darling, help!" she cried.

Moonshine laughed, "Your husband must give me the flower, if he wants to save you." he bargained.

Grand Ruler growled. He couldn't give the flower to him, but he didn't want to risk losing his wife again. "Darling, don't give it to him!" Celestia cried, earning her more pressure on her neck. "Agh!"

"Be quiet, pony. Give me the flower or else your wife gets it." Moonshine growled. Grand Ruler didn't know what to do.

Suddenly, a blast came and sent the tiger and cheetah flying. "What the...!" Moonshine cried. A familiar dragon flew onto the scene. "Dusk! Dawn!" Grand Ruler cried. The two headed dragon flew towards Moonshine. The caracal and leopard lunged at the dragon but he simply bashed them with his heads, sending them crashing to the ground. The two headed dragon landed in front of Moonshine and growled at him. The hippogriff, frightened by the dragon, just let Celestia go and she limped over to her husband.

Moonshine and his cats ran away into the jungle.

"Celestia, are you alright?" Grand Ruler asked as he hugged his wife, relived that he was alright. "I'm alright darling." she winced. "But I hurt my wing when I crashed." Grand Ruler could see it for himself. Her wing had a large bruise on it and it looked to be swollen a little. "Looks like a bad sprain." he said.

He dug into his backpack and took out a bandage. He wrapped up the wing, "You shouldn't use it for a few days, darling."

"Alright dear." Dusk and Dawn licked their riders. "And you two, how'd you get here?" Grand Ruler asked playfully. The two headed dragon nuzzled the two of them. "Hehe, glad you both are feeling better." Celestia said. "Now onto item number 2."

"Ice Iris's." Grand Ruler took out the map and touched the Frozen North and they four of them disappeared in a bright flash.
