With the New Canterlot Republic coming into its own, the wasteland that was once pre-war Equestria has become a safer place to live. Wind-blasted deserts, once terrorized by bands of raiders, have become habitable by the average pony. The art of agriculture has returned to the world. Clean food and water have become relatively attainable for those willing to throw in with the NCR.

While life is far from easy, some semblance of civilization outside of a few isolated cities has begun to grow. Small mining towns. Sprawling agricultural districts. Even the odd family farm.

But nopony's invulnerable, no paradise safe; and sometimes, the only justice you can get is the sort you make.
