'Talking' To the Moon

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

I can see how Luna would know about my survival, with the publication of New Harmony and other such agreements it was bound to happen, apart from the fact no Equestrian journalist or reporters were present. I could even understand how she would once again mistake my intentions, with my lack of interaction with her to this worlds seemingly idiotic way of handling ponies personalities. What I don't understand is the fact that this fucking games definition of strength, it makes no sense!

Moving on from that, Luna. Dear Skya, (comment if you remember her) the mare was pissed. Luckily she hasn't woken up from that beat down I gave her -about 4 hours ago, so that's given me some time to prepare. I built an underground cell for her. Now, this was more like a luxury hotel room, rather than a prison cell. I went with a Victorian style with fine wall papers and the like, and I can say that, while I am not any Rarity, I am fairly good at interior decoration.

When she wakes up, she will be in a very comfortable room.

Which will be perfect for a very stern talking to.

Cadence suddenly shot upright in her bed. She didn't know why, but she felt something bad is about to happen, and it involved one of her aunties. She shrugged it off and went back to sleep with a sad expression, missing the one pony she wished to see more than anything else.

She slowly started to drift back into the dream realm, she looked across at an unopened box.

I walked into the room to see Luna, still asleep in her bed. I never truly understood why bronies shipped themselves with her. Of course she is a very stunning mare, but her problems , in my opinion, are far to many to count. (You're on thin fuckin ice my pedigree chum)

First, and the most important of her flaws is that she threw the equivalent of a catastrophe level temper tantrum. Seriously! She wanted attention! I can understand her want to not be isolated and to be appreciated by her subjects and sister, but even those subjects do incredible amounts of hard work and labor, and they don't even get payed for it! The fact that those ponies were basically forgotten and buried without any appreciation or reward. Hell, the Apple family have been harvesting and selling apples since before Lunas banishment, and I've never once heard anyone ever even mention them.

I would have kept ranting, but the sounds of the stirring lunar princess (and the sound of angry clacking keyboards over how awful I am for thinking Luna has flaws) took my attention away from that. I suddenly had a horrible, yet incredibly fun idea pop into my head. I poofed some cleaning utensils into existence with my magic, put on a maid disguise, and began cleaning the room.

(Luna's Perspective)

The pain in my skull was the very first thing I felt. What happened to me. I groaned a little before a faint noise came to my ears.

"Fly me to the moon."

The word moon quickly brought me to full attention, but what caught my attention right after was the room I found myself. It was an unfamiliar style, but it looks very beautiful. I looked around a little more and spotted a unicorn maid dusting the furniture, which also looked fairly peculiar. It was then I heard another sound.

"Let me play among the stars."

It was then that I realized that the maid was the one singing. I listened intently, hoping to hear more of her voice. To be true, it was quite a lovely voice. Suddenly the maid turned to see me sitting up. She giggled before speaking.

"Sorry, I didn't realize you were awake. I suppose I could talk to you in this form, but why should I? You already know who I am." I didn't know what she was saying, until a blue and silver magic stream formed around her. She grew to be much taller than me, and her mane and tail grew long and wavy. Memories came rushing back as I saw her face.

"NIGHTMARE!" I said as I immediately charged her, only to be frozen midair. I felt the warmth in my body be forcibly pulled away from my face to my wings and behind. I couldn't move a single muscle. I tried to use my magic, but it fizzled out as I saw a magic dampener on my horn. She had me completely defenseless. I looked to see her blank expression, her mane waved from the shockwave of my charge.

I looked at Lunas frightened face, as I mentally prepare myself some more to speak. As much as I liked that little prank, it didn't make much sense and probably wouldn't help in the long run. I took a few steps towards her and lifted her up with my bending.

"Well princess, I didn't expect you to find me so soon, considering that there were no ponies present at my little international meeting. I would like you to tell me though, why did you attack me?" I said as Lunas face filled with anger, overshadowing her fear.

"WHY ELSE!? I KNOW THOU ART UP TO NO GOOD NIGHTMARE! WHAT ART THOU PLANNING!?" She screamed out. Wow, royal voice much. I pulled her close to me and put her ear to my muzzle.

" would recommend that you keep your voice down, you are in no position to be giving me orders. Understood?" I saw her nod and proceeded with our little chat.

"So how did you know I was here?"

"I saw it in a newspaper that was imported from the griffon kingdom." Well that explains how she knew I was here, but it doesn't explain why she attacked me.

"If you knew I was here, then you should know that I've been trying to help the other nations." I deadpanned to her.

"Huh?"

"*sigh* Did you even read the entirety of the paper?" A head shake conformed my thoughts. I sighed once again and recreated the article with my magic. She quickly read through it and let it down.

"Oh."

"That's all you have to say."

"What else is there to say? Even if you're helping them, I know it's a part of your plan Nightmare. You'll use this to take over Equestria, I know it." Oh for Skylas sake, this mare.

"Let me make one thing clear to you princess." I brought her face inches from mine. "I. AM NOT. NIGHTMARE MOON! AND I NEVER WILL BE! THE NIGHTMARE IS DEAD! BECAUSE I DESTROYED IT!" I said as I threw her onto the bed, opened the door, slammed it behind me, and locked it.

Author's Note

Sorry if this chapter was low quality. I had a really hard time moving this part of the plot along. To be honest at this point I'm pulling this out of my ass. Please forgive me. I'm sorry if this was disappointing.
