It's been 6 years since I confessed my love to Cadence, as well as finding out about her returned feelings. We've been spending that time on many dates and vacations. Another thing I have been doing is grinding and I have managed to get my 'Observe' and 'Meditate' skills to maximum level(which is 1000).

Another thing is my continued studies under Celestia, while going well, haven't created any new skills. I can use the spells she has taught me, but they have to be applied like regular spells. Which is weird because it should be, right?

Anyway, today Celestia wanted me and my sister to come to the library for a personal and important lesson. Apparently it's some sort of right of passage for the royal family and Celestia's students. Cadence went through it as well as Luna apparently, though Cadence wouldn't tell me what it was, and I couldn't ask Luna for obvious reasons. I would have ask Blueblood but decided no for two reasons. He is still a prick, and according to Cadence, he never was allowed to take this lesson due to only being legally related to the royal family.

As I entered the library I was assaulted by its columns and rows of books, possibly numbering in the hundreds of thousands. Standing at the table one row down was Celestia and Twilight. While Celestia has personality wise remained unchanged, Twilight is much different than her canon counterpart due to my influence. She is much more outgoing and socially adept, as well as making a close group of friends, including Moondancer, myself, Cadence, and a young pegasus named Flash Sentry. I know what you're going to say. Ah bUt lED FLasH iS A rEteRd BlEh! If you are saying that shut up. Twilight and Flash did date for a bit, but they eventually decided that they were better off being friends and broke up. She also has physical stats that are around half of Celestia's, which is an incredible feat.

As I approached the table I saw Celestia and Twilight look over to me and wave, Celestia in a modest and humble manner and Twilight in an coked up, child like manner. When I got there I saw Celestia looking down at me with a gentile smile. One thing that I have always been different from Twilight about is the relationship with our parents. While Twilight was inseparable, I wasn't as close. Don't get me wrong I love them very dearly, but I wasn't as close to them as Twilight.

Eventually I started to talk regularly with Celestia, and a lot has improved with her. While she has not changed personality wise, but she has gotten much of her pain off her chest due to our interaction. Most of it involved her sister Luna.

"...And that is the proper way of tuning a teleportation spell." Celestia finished, after she did so Twilight started packing up her books and notes to go home for the weekend to see our parents. I however stayed put, which caught the attention of both Celestia and Twilight after some time.

"TSBFF, why aren't you packing up?" She asked curiously, I looked over to her and gave her a small smile.

"Go ahead sis, I have to stay behind and ask princess Celestia something." I said, drawing a satisfied look from Twilight and a curious look from Celestia. While canon Twilight would have asked me what my question was, this Twilight is much more respecting of privacy and personal space than early canon Twilight.

When she left I looked up to Celestia as she put up her motherly smile once again.

"What was it that you wanted to ask, young Zeppy." Even Celestia called by that nickname, in truth I don't even know why I decided on the name 'Led Zeppelin' in the first place. I guess I was subconsciously appealing to my masculine mindset despite my now female gender.

"...Why do you wear a fake smile?" I asked, which brought a sliver of shock to her face, though it was quickly suppressed. She kept her motherly face up as she continued to look down at me.

"I don't believe I understand. What do you mean?" She asked, inside I was giving her a 'This is bull shit' look before continuing.

"I mean, every time I see you smile or enjoy something, it feels so forced, and I occasionally see pain and sadness when I look at you, then it's like it's gone the next moment." When I said that her shock was unsuppressed, I doubt that she expected a seven year old to see past a possible thousand years of carefully constructed lies and emotions.

Celestia suddenly adopted a pained and saddened face, it truly felt like the world darkened ever so slightly, the colors almost looked faded, even Celestia's appearance changed. Her mane fell flat and dark while her fur darkened to a sickly looking gray. How long has she been like this. Then, she did something that not everyone(unless you're on Fimfiction)in Equestria can imagine her doing.

She cried.

I watched as her fur darkened to an almost black shade of gray as she shivered and tear flowed from her eyes. She looked like a person who had nothing left, broken and alone with no hope. I walked up to her as I pulled her into my small, underdeveloped hooves. She then wrapped her own hoofs around me as I put up a sound barrier in the room so no one would hear.

After an eternity of tears and comfort, her fur and mane lightened up slightly, but she refused to move. I started to stroke her flat mane as she stood still.

"It's Luna, isn't it?" I asked causing a flinch from her, I hugged her slightly before continuing. "Don't worry, I know it may seem like you have nothing left, but you have family and loved ones everywhere. Equestria is your family, me, Twilight, Cadence, even Blueblood. Even though you may feel alone, you have so many around you that want to see you happy, rather than in pain. And would Luna want you to do this to yourself?" I asked, getting another, smaller flinch from her.

"No. She would want you to be happy and enjoying life, regardless of what happens to her because of her choices. It would quite likely destroy her inside to see you do this to yourself. So, if not for us, then do it for her." I ended, I then noticed that my eyes were closed. When I opened them I was met with Celestia's standard white fur as her mane brightened as well.

We both slowly stood up as she looked at me, her puffy eyes filled with comfort, sadness, and a small bit of happiness. She smiled at me once again, but this time it wasn't a motherly smile, nor a fake smile. This was a purely content and happy smile. As she wiped her eyes she gave me a small hug.

"Thank you, I haven't had any comfort like that in a long time." She said as she released the hug. I then released the sound barrier as I walked over to my desk. I looked up to Celestia and gave her a small smile of my own.

"No, thank you. I knew you had been suffering, and I didn't want the pony I've come to see as a second mother to suffer." I said, bringing more shock from her. She then gave a small smile and walked over to my desk as I packed my notes.

"Well, I've never known what having a daughter feels like, but you and Twilight have been the light of my days whenever I see you, I've see you both as the daughters I've never had, and I didn't even realize it." She said as she nuzzled me. "And as your 'Second Mother', I suggest you catch up to your sister before you miss your dinner." She said as she teleported away.

I gained a warm smile at the memory, it may not have been enjoyable to see Celestia cry, but I felt accomplished and happy for helping her with her emotions. As I sat down at the table Celestia stood up and pulled out two Japanese tea cups.

"Today is going to be very special. The two of you shall be attempting the right of passage of unlocking Kingdom Magic." She started, getting a confused look from Twilight and a surprised one from me.

"Princess Celestia, what is Kingdom Magic?" Twilight asked, to which Celestia simply smiled.

"Kingdom Magic is one of the two main magic groups that spells are derived from. Much of Equestria's magics and spells including my own are derived from Kingdom Magic, while Chaos and Dark Magic are derived from Calamity Magic." She explained, causing my eyes to widen in wonder, no wonder the spells I learned didn't count as skills! They were part of something bigger.

"The first step is one of only two, where you will drink a special elixir in order to allow your pool of Kingdom Magic to flow throughout your body." She stated sagely, her magic lighting up as a small tea kettle floated over to the table from behind her.

As she tipped the kettle over Twilights cup a light green liquid poured out. She then did the same with mine and I looked down at the cup. We then both proceeded to drink from our cups and finished quickly. The elixir tasted like a liquid Honeydew, but other than that it didn't feel like anything changed. Though I trust Celestia so I'll follow along.

"The next step will have to take place with both of you separated." She said as her horn lit up. Suddenly the world around us shifted to a flat area of white tiles. I looked around and stopped when I looked up. In front of us was a large red sand mountain, with white stairs winding up to the top. At the top seemed to be a structure, though I couldn't see it from here.

"Come on, the rest of the journey must be taken on hoof." Celestia said as she began the climb. Twilight flinched at the physical test while I embraced it and trotted after Celestia. Twilight shook out of her surprise as she hurried to catch up to us.

It was been a total of four hours of climbing before we reached the top. When we did I saw the structure I saw earlier in front of us. It had white stone walls with Japanese paper barriers covering the windowsills. As Celestia opened the door we were met with a large open garden area. There were small plants and a few Sakura trees scattered about the area.

"Welcome to Kingdom Garden. Here is where you will complete the second step." She said, getting a hyper squeak from Twilight.

"In order to use Kingdom Magic, you must look within yourself and find it. When you do, you then direct it out of its pool for you to use. Be careful not to force it, unlike normal magic where you pull it out, such a thing can't be done with Kingdom Magic. You must simply direct it like a river flowing to the ocean" She finished as she sat down.

I thought on her words for a moment, let it flow like a river. I closed my eyes and started to meditate. I spent a small time feeling out my magic, searching for its pool. When I did I felt around it, it was similar but it was, warmer, like relaxing on a warm beach shore. I then mentally pushed it, causing a small stream of warmth to exit the pool.

I then dug mental trenches and wall to change its course, leading from the pool directly to my horn. When the river reached my horn my whole body felt consumed by the warmth. I opened my eyes to see everything had a white outline, along with the sound of charging magic. In front of me Celestia looked at me with a proud smile. I then quickly felt tired as the white outline and sound dissipated. I then felt my body collapse as I fell forward.

I was then caught by Celestia, who was also holding a sleeping Twilight. She gave me a small smile as I began to fall asleep. When I did I was assaulted by a message right in my face.
