The Unexpected Adventures of Sparky Selene, Professional Pornstar
3. Adjusting to the Heat
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwilight woke up to her usual alarm. For a few minutes, she just lay in bed, marveling at everything that happened last night. She could barely believe that it was all real.
However, when she put on her glasses and the room came into view, she found her new, spartan bedroom rather than her cozy old one. She looked over at the other bed to see Adagio sprawled across her mattress, fast asleep.
Twilight got up and left for the bathroom, making sure not to wake up the sleeping girl.
After finishing up her morning routine, she went into the kitchen.
“Morning, Twi.”
Twilight was startled by Broad’s voice. He was sitting at the kitchen table, eating cereal while looking at his phone.
“Oh, I didn’t see you there.” Twilight looked around the otherwise empty kitchen. “Is everyone else still asleep.”
Broad nodded. “They’ll probably be up soonish.”
Twilight opened up the fridge. “What do we have to eat here?” The shelves were
“Mostly cereal. We might have some fruits, too.”
Twilight spotted the milk and cereal on the table next to Broad, then went to search for a bowl and spoon.
“Soo…” she started. “Today’s my first day in the porn industry… Where do I start, exactly?”
“I got you scheduled for tests later today. Starry’s having to get retested today, too, so I’ll just drive the both of you there later. And you’ll probably start getting calls about jobs in the coming days.”
Twilight sat at the table and started pouring herself breakfast. “O-okay.” Her heart sped a little at the thought. Again, she considered just going back home.
“We’ll also need to set up a profile for you,” Broad continued. “It’ll just be some basic info about you, a nice picture, and then a list of what you will and won’t do.”
“Oh?” Twilight tilted her head in surprise. “So I can just pick and choose what I want to do?”
Broad nodded while he finished chewing. “To a certain extent, yeah. Like, no one’s going to force you to do anal, but anal scenes tend to pay a lot more. And if you decide you’re okay with doing those, you’ll have more options for jobs in general, y’know? So a lot of girls end up doing at least a few of those.”
Twilight nodded, relieved. “Okay. That’s good to know.”
As Twilight and Broad ate, the kitchen slowly filled up as her other housemates woke up. Though she noticed that Adagio wasn’t among them.
After she finished eating, she went back to her room. Adagio stirred when she opened the door.
“Sorry, did I wake you?” Twilight asked.
Adagio yawned widely, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. “Well, it was either you or the sun,” she said, glaring at the window. “I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt this time.” She yawned.
Twilight followed her gaze outside. Even just looking at it, she could tell it was hot out. A quick glance at her suitcase reminded her that she didn’t have the proper attire for this kind of heat.
“Hey, Adagio?” Twilight looked up at the girl who was groggily stretching. “You mentioned that you could help me pick out some new clothes…”
“Oh. Yeah, I guess I did,” Adagio looked around blearily. “So, you wanna go do that now, or?”
Twilight nodded. “If it isn’t too much trouble. I have a… test later today, and I’d like to get this done first.”
“Yeah, alright. We can head out to the mall, and I can buy myself something to eat when we get there.” She took off her top and grabbed a t-shirt off the floor. She sniffed it before shrugging and throwing it on.
Twilight turned away to select her own outfit for the day, blushing a little at the display.
Ten minutes later, they had both gotten dressed and had made it to a nearby mall.
Adagio’s outfit was far more revealing than Twilight’s. Her crop top was small enough to show off a generous amount of midriff, and her shorts left her legs almost fully exposed.
Twilight was feeling distinctly jealous, both because the sun was practically cooking her in her jeans and blouse, and also because she could never show off that much skin, while looking that confident.
Adagio’s calm confidence reminded her a little bit of Sunset. That was one of the things she so admired about Sunset.
Just before entering the mall, Twilight glared up at the sun, which only served to make her jealous of Adagio’s sunglasses, too.
“Oh, thank goodness for air conditioning,” Twilight said as they entered the cool indoors. She closed her eyes and let the wonderfully cool breeze caress her face. “Is it always this hot and bright?” she asked.
“Has been since I got here,” Adagio replied. “Let’s start with the food court, I’m starving.”
“Sure,” Twilight replied, happy just to be out of the heat.
As they entered the food court, Twilight caught sight of an ice cream kiosk. “Hey, I’m gonna get some ice cream.”
Adagio nodded. “Sure, I’ll meet you at one of the tables.”
Twilight got in line for the kiosk and observed the variety of flavors they had available. There were way more than she’d seen in Canterlot, but she decided to go for her usual favorite, anyway.
“Hello. I’ll have one cone with two scoops of strawberry please.”
The clerk quickly made her order, then rang her up at the cash register.
She took a bite of the icy treat, savoring both the flavor and the chill.
She scanned the food court for Adagio, who had picked out a couple of seats that were, thankfully, not next to the windows. As she approached, she saw that Adagio had decided to get herself a burrito.
“Not exactly a healthy breakfast,” Twilight said as she sat opposite the redhead.
“It’s more of a lunch, really,” Adagio said with a smirk. “So, what flavor did you get?” she asked.
“Strawberry,” Twilight replied. “I was tempted to try raspberry or mango, but I decided to stick with my favorite. So, where are you from?” Twilight asked.
“Philadelphia,” Adagio answered between bites.
Twilight nodded. “What brought you into porn? I-if you don’t mind me asking.”
Adagio chuckled. “Same as most other girls; money. My friends and I graduated from high school this spring and now we have our eyes set on a prestigious music school. Aria has pretty well off parents, so she’s basically set. But Sonata and I had to come up with some way to get a lot of money in a short time.”
“I see,” Twilight said between bites of ice cream. “I noticed that neither of them were in the house with us. Did you come here alone?”
“It’s just me,” Adagio nodded. “Aria was flat against coming here, and Sonata was born late in the year, so she’s still only seventeen.
“Wait, didn’t you say you were nineteen?” Twilight asked, her brow furrowing.
“I am.” Adagio leaned forward with a predatory smile. “I was held back a grade for violent behavior in my youth.”
Twilight stared back with her cone comically frozen a few inches from her open mouth.
Adagio chuckled, looking back at her food. “Don’t worry. I’ve mellowed out since then.”
“Right,” Twilight said with a nervous smile. She cleared her throat as she thought of what to say.
“What about you?” Adagio continued after a moment of silence. “You said you didn’t really know what you were getting yourself into at first. What were you hoping to get out of all this?”
Twilight idly fidgeted with her cone while she thought. “I’m not a hundred percent sure. All my friends were traveling and doing things, and I guess I felt like I should do something, too. I also really wanted to get out into the world and be a bit more independent, y’know?”
“I get what you mean,” Adagio nodded. “But, are you sure this is the best way to do that?”
Twilight shook her head. “Absolutely not. But, since I’m here, I want to see if I can do this.” She laughed nervously. “I thought I was going to be doing modeling work, and that was already pretty far out of my comfort zone. The thing is, this is kinda the same thing, just further out of my comfort zone. A lot further, granted. Does that make sense?”
Adagio finished off her burrito. “Not really.” She shrugged. Twilight’s face fell, causing the redhead to follow up. “I mean, uh… I’m sure it makes sense to you, and I guess that’s what matters?” she added, a little awkwardly.
Twilight giggled. “Thanks,” she said as she finished off her cone. “So, uhm. What kind of clothes should I be looking for. Y’know, from a work perspective.”
“Something that shows off some skin, for one thing,” Adagio said, tugging at the sleeve of Twilight’s blouse. “And I think something bright and colorful would suit you best.”
Twilight nodded. “Right, okay.” She followed Adagio out to the main part of the mall. “Hey, thanks for helping me out. I really appreciate it.”
Adagio started in surprise. “Uh, sure. Anytime,” she smiled.
Adagio led the way into the first clothing store, and the two of them started looking over the racks.
“So,” Twilight started hesitantly. She looked around to make sure no one else was within hearing distance. “What exactly does the job entail?”
Adagio raised an eyebrow at her, smirking.
Blushing, Twilight elaborated. “A-apart from the obvious, I mean. Like, what’s the daily routine?”
Adagio chuckled. “Don’t worry, I get what you mean, Sparkle. It starts off pretty normal. You wake up and go through your morning routine, like anyone would.”
“Uh,” Twilight interrupted. “Do I need to change that routine. For instance, shaving.” She blushed. “Like, down there?”
Adagio shrugged. “You don’t have to. Though, you should consider at least trimming it if you don't already.”
Twilight nodded, adding it to her mental to-do list.
Adagio took a very small crop top from one of the racks and shoved it into Twilight’s hands. “Obviously you want to look good, but you don’t need to worry about it too much. You look pretty good as it is.”
Twilight started. “Oh.” She started blushing again. Adagio’s compliment felt very different than those coming from her friends or family. “Thanks.”
Adagio nodded, and moved on to the next part of the store.
“It’s important that you arrive on set on time,” Adagio continued. “Amazing though it may seem, these people actually value punctuality. They want to be able to get the work done, so they’re not going to want to work with someone who’s constantly late.”
Twilight smiled. “Punctuality has never really been an issue for me.”
“I’ll admit that one didn’t come naturally to me,” Adagio said sheepishly. “Had to have a couple of pissed off directors tell me off before I realized that maybe, getting the people I work with to like me would help me get more scenes. Who knew?” she added with a sarcastic chuckle.
Twilight furrowed her brow. “How long have you been here?”
“Only a couple of weeks. But I’m a quick study,” Adagio replied with a smirk. “Anyway, once you’re actually at the set, you’re not going to get to the actual sex for a couple hours at least. First you need to show them your ID and your STI test results. Then you have hair and makeup, of course.”
Twilight nodded along, while occasionally picking out some clothes to try.
“After that, the guy will show up, and you’ll wait for the set to be ready.”
“And then the sex?” Twilight asked as Adagio tossed a couple of pairs of shorts at her.
“Nope,” Adagio said, leading Twilight towards the changing rooms. “Then come the stills. They take a bunch of pictures of you and the guy in different positions. I guess it’s for thumbnails or some promotional stuff. Never really bothered to find out exactly what they were for.”
“Huh, so they kind of end up being like a sneak peak for the scene you’re about to perform,” Twilight said with a giggle.
Adagio shook her head, chuckling. “If you want to look at it that way.” Her phone then went off, playing the tune of a pop song Twilight had heard the girls listen to occasionally.
Adagio looked at her phone. “Why don’t you go try on some of those while I take this?” she nodded at the pile of clothes in Twilight’s arms.
Twilight nodded and headed into the changing room. Once inside, she felt the noise of the mall fade into the background. She sighed in relief.
She looked at the selection of clothing she brought with her. Some of the ones Adagio had picked out for her were nothing like anything she’d worn before. A crop top that wouldn’t even cover her belly button, a pair of shorts that were barely more than panties…
Yet, even as her heart raced, Twilight couldn’t help but feel excited about trying them on.
Outside, she could hear Adagio’s voice.
“So, how have you and Aria been? Anything interesting happen since yesterday?”
Twilight picked out the first outfit to try on and started to undress. All the while, she kept listening to Adagio’s half of the conversation going on outside.
“Oh yeah?” Adagio continued, her tone much brighter and softer than Twilight had heard from her. “How was it? Did you have fun?”
A giggle followed, one Twilight would never had expected to hear from the normally aloof redhead.
“Oh, I really wish I could’ve been there. What about Aria? Did she have a good time, too?”
Twilight put on a pair of jean shorts, and a light pink knot t-shirt. She blushed at her reflection and tugged at the bottom of the tiny top in a vain effort to have it cover her stomach.
“A boy?” Came Adagio’s voice again, this time sounding suspicious. “What’s he like?”
Twilight took off the top, and put it back on its clothes hanger. That one was a definite ‘no’ in her mind.
“Well, he doesn’t sound too bad,” Adagio continued, her tone lightening a little. “Do me a favor and keep an eye on them for me, okay? I just don’t want anything to happen to her again… Thanks Sonata.”
Twilight smiled at the softness in Adagio’s voice, then quickly put on another, much more agreeable, top and went out to show shopping partner.
Adagio was just hanging up the phone when Twilight drew aside the curtain with a smirk.
Adagio’s smile quickly faded back into the same neutral expression she’d had all day, and Twilight briefly considered not bringing up the conversation. She steeled her resolve, and went for it.
“So, you do have a soft side,” she said triumphantly.
Adagio furrowed her brow. “What?”
“I heard you talking to Sonata. The curtain’s not exactly soundproof,” Twilight said, nodding at the changing room curtain. “You really care about those two. Not to mention the whole reason why you’re here is so that you can all go to the same college and keep the group together. Not everyone would be willing to do that for their friends.”
Adagio shrugged, looking away. “If you say so.”
Twilight frowned at the lacking response. She sighed, before putting on a nervous smile. “So, what do you think?” she waited for Adagio to look at her again, then spun in a quick circle.
Adagio looked her up and down, then a grin spread over her features. “Eight out of ten. I’d hit that.”
Twilight blushed, staring at the still grinning girl. Adagio waggled her eyebrows.
Twilight opened her mouth to reply, but nothing came out except for a small meep. She spun around and went back into the sanctuary of the dressing room, listening to Adagio’s laughter follow after her.
After a short deliberation, she placed that outfit in her ‘yes’ pile.
After a short shopping spree, Twilight and Adagio were on their way back, with Twilight carrying a full shopping bag of new clothes. Adagio had also urged her to buy a backpack so she could bring various necessities to the job.
Twilight had balked at the price of it all at first, but Adagio reassured her that she’d make that money back in a week.
Before they left the mall, Twilight had taken the opportunity to change into one of her new outfits, a top that showed off her shoulders nicely, as well as a pair of shorts that reached half-way down her thighs.
It was nerve wracking for her to show off this much skin, but in this heat, she considered it worth it. Also, it helped that most of the guys who stared at them were no doubt staring at Adagio, rather than herself.
Twilight was brought out of her musing by her phone ringing. She looked at screen to see Sunset’s picture.
“It’s my friend,” she said, glancing over at Adagio. “Do you mind if I take this?”
“Go ahead,” Adagio said, busying herself with her own phone.
Twilight nodded, then accepted the call. “Hi, Sunny. What’s up?”
“Hey, Sparky,” came Sunset’s voice over the phone. Twilight flinched at hearing her old nickname, now her new work name. “So, how’s Miami?”
“Well, I’ve only seen a few blocks of it so far,” Twilight replied with a small chuckle. “One thing that’s immediately obvious, though, is the heat.”
“Were you not already expecting that?” Sunset laughed.
“Well, yes, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad!” Twilight huffed. “All I can say is thank goodness for air conditioning.”
“You can say that again,” Sunset replied with a chuckle. “What about the job? What’s it like?”
Twilight felt a twinge of anxiety. “I, uh… I haven’t really started it yet. I’ll probably start getting calls about it over the next few days.
“That’s cool,” Sunset replied. “I hope it goes well for you.”
“Thanks,” Twilight said. She felt her nerves calm down. “So, what have you been up to?”
“Not much, to be honest. Just sorta hanging around. Rainbow and Fluttershy are leaving tomorrow, so the girls are gonna meet up lunch in about an hour.”
“Oh?” Twilight said, confused.
“What do you mean ‘oh’?” Sunset asked.
“Nothing, it’s just… since you called, I kinda assumed something had happened.”
“Oh, right,” Sunset said, sounding rather sheepish. “No, I just wanted to hear your voice, actually.”
Adagio glanced over, looking intrigued.
“You miss me that much already?” Twilight asked with a giggle. “Surely you can have just as much fun with the rest of the girls, right?”
“Yeah, I guess,” Sunset said with an awkward laugh.
“Hey, did you end up getting that second job you were after?” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, I did,” Sunset perked up. “It pays pretty well, too. But that does mean I’ll be working pretty much every day. Mornings, evenings, and sometimes both.”
Twilight smiled. “Well, if you’re ever feeling exhausted and just want to chat, I’m always here. I mean, unless you happen to call when I’m busy or-” Twilight gulped “-working.”
Sunset chuckled. “Thanks, Sparky. I’ll definitely take you up on that offer. Can’t really think of many things more calming than your voice.”
Twilight giggled. “You clearly need to branch into other music genres. I’d recommend Gymnopédie Number one, by Erik Satie. It’s a… classic,” she cleared her throat. “Actually, that one’s pretty tough to spell, so I might just send you a link.”
“Right,” Sunset sighed, clearly unamused by Twilight’s attempt at a pun. “Hey, I should probably get going. I, uh… got chores I need to do and stuff.”
“Oh, okay. Well, it was nice hearing from you,” Twilight smiled. It did feel nice to hear Sunset’s voice. With everything being so different and intimidating here, it was nice to still have a link to her home.
“Yeah. So, uhm. I guess I’ll hear from you again soon?” Sunset asked hopefully.
“Of course.”
“Great. I’ll talk to you soon, then. Bye.”
“Bye, Sunset.” Twilight hung up the phone and put it back in her pocket. When she looked up again, she saw Adagio giving her a questioning look. “What?”
“Oh, I’m just a little curious,” Adagio said nonchalantly. “So, this ‘Sunset’ is your friend?”
“Yep. She’s my best friend back home,” Twilight replied with a nervous chuckle. “It feels kinda wrong to say that, since I have a bunch of friends that all mean a lot to me. But Sunset’s always been so nice to me, and I feel like we share a deeper connection, y’know?” She giggled. “Although, I am a little surprised she’d call me less than twenty four hours after I left.
“If I ever felt like I needed to talk to someone, she’d be the first person to pop into my head,” Twilight continued. “I was also the first person she came out to,” she giggled. “I’ll never forget how nervous she looked then.”
“She’s gay?” Adagio asked.
“Yeah, she is. It doesn’t bother me, though, or any of our friends when she eventually told them.”
Adagio raised an eyebrow at her, not saying a word.
“What is it?” Twilight asked.
Adagio shook her head. “It’s nothing. You two just seem really close. So have you told her that you’re doing porn?”
Twilight fidgeted. “Well, no… Should I?” she added, pleadingly.
Adagio shrugged. “How would I know? Some people take it well, others don’t.”
Twilight nodded. “Sunset’s always been very understanding and supportive. She probably wouldn’t be upset or anything if I told her, but… I don’t know.” She looked away, fidgeting with her new top.
“You don’t know?” Adagio repeated. “It sounds to me like it wouldn’t be an issue.”
Twilight rubbed her elbow self-consciously. “I guess.”
A few minutes later, they got back to the house. Getting back into an air conditioned building was once again a relief, though this time around, Twilight hadn’t felt like she’d been baking in her own clothing.
“Hey, you must be Twilight!” came a new voice from the living room sofa.
Twilight looked up to see a black haired girl with glasses, whom she hadn’t met the previous day. She was sitting on the sofa, petting Olive with one hand, her phone in the other.
“Oh, hello,” Twilight greeted with a smile. “I’m guessing you’re Starry?”
Starry nodded. “Yep. I hear we’re gonna get tested together,” she grinned.
Twilight nodded nervously. “Yep. That’s what Broad said, at least.”
Just then, Broad himself entered the living room. He glanced from Starry to Twilight. “Oh, good you’re both here. We’re leaving in a few minutes, so get ready.”
“Okay,” Twilight chirped. She turned to take her shopping bags into her bedroom, Adagio following behind her. On the way there, Twilight spoke over her shoulder to her roommate.
“Thanks again for the help, Adagio. You have a really good fashion sense.”
Adagio crossed her arms with a confident smirk. “Oh, I know.”
Twilight dropped the bags on her bed, intending to sort through her new clothes properly once she got back. She grabbed a few things she might need, then headed back out to the living room to wait for her ride.
Starry was apparently all set, since she hadn’t moved from the couch.
“So, what are we getting tested for, anyway?” Twilight asked while they waited for Broad.
“Uhm,” Starry squinted at the ceiling as she thought. “Obviously it’s the most common and dangerous ones, like Chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV. And, let’s see. I think It was trich and one or two of the hepatitis’s.”
Twilight nodded. “Okay. That sounds like quite a bit.”
Starry shrugged. “It sounds like a lot, but really all they need is a blood test and urine sample.”
Twilight cringed a little. “Oh, good. Needles,” she said unenthusiastically.
The next day, Twilight got her test results. She was clean, as she’d expected. She had only slept with Timber before, and she always made sure he used protection.
She was lying comfortably in bed, reading to pass the time, when her phone went off.
Startled, she quickly bookmarked her page and grabbed the phone. The number was one she didn’t recognize. Her mind immediately jumped to Broad’s throwaway line about her getting a call about doing a scene sometime soon. She gave a short, panicked glance at Adagio, who looked up from her laptop in interest, then mentally steeled herself.
“Hello?” she said.
“Morning, is this Sparky Selene?” said a man’s voice.
“That’s me.” Twilight fidgeted a little, sitting up straighter.
“I have a role for you if you’re interested. It’s really short notice through, the girl had to cancel last minute. Can you be here this afternoon?”
“Uhh, sure, I think so.” Twilight said. “When and where is it?” she reached for a pen and notepad on her nightstand.
She mindlessly wrote down the details, then tensed up when he started talking about the scene itself.
“I’m looking for sort of a schoolgirl look and your agent pointed me in your direction. It’ll be a pretty straight forward scene. You’ll be working with a guy and you’ll be doing oral, vaginal penetration and a facial. You interested?”
Twilight paled, but kept writing. “Uh, yes. I t-think so.” she stuttered. “I can do that,” she added, almost more to herself.
“Oh, and If you can, wear something that could pass as a school uniform, you know plaid skirt, button up shirt, that kind of thing. And a girly, innocent hairstyle would be good too, like twin ponytails or a braid or something.”
Twilight wrote everything down as she listened. “Alright, that should be easy,” she said, glancing at her suitcase which she still used to store her clothes.
Twilight caught Adagio waving at her from the side. ‘How much does it pay,’ she mouthed.
“Uh,” Twilight began hesitantly. “How much does it pay?”
“Six hundred dollars. It should only take about four hours or so,” he replied.
Twilight wrote down the reply, momentarily pausing when her mind processed the payment amount.
“Okay, that sounds great.”
“So, you’ll take the job?” he asked.
Twilight felt the knot in her stomach intensify. Off to the side, Adagio waved her hand in a circular motion, silently urging her to continue. “Yes, I will.” She said after a bit of hesitation.
“Great, I’ll see you this afternoon, then.”
“Okay… bye,” Twilight hung up the phone and stared at the wall for a couple seconds.
“Well?” Adagio prompted, distracting Twilight from her rapidly building nervousness.
“I have a scene this afternoon,” Twilight started, her mind processing the words even as she said them.
“What’s the scene?” Adagio asked.
“I’m playing the role of a schoolgirl, and uhh…” Twilight looked down at her notepad, blushing as she reread the words. “I have to do oral, and vaginal penetration a-and a facial.” She practically whimpered along with the last words.
Adagio nodded. “Basic stuff. Although, I’m guessing you’ve never done a facial before?”
Twilight shook her head silently.
“Don’t worry too much about that one. Just remember to look sexy during it, so don’t close your eyes and scrunch up your face or anything like that, no matter how tempted you are to do so. If they don’t get a good shot, they need to do it again. And that can take a while.”
Twilight squirmed. “Okay…”
“What about blowjobs?”
Twilight felt herself blush. She cleared her throat, not meeting Adagio’s eyes. “My ex asked me to give him one once. I don’t think I did it right, since he never asked for one again,” she added, fidgeting with the notepad in her hands.
Adagio rubbed her chin in thought. “I guess I could give you some quick pointers if you want.” Twilight nodded meekly, prompting Adagio to flash a grin as she stood up, clapping her hands excitedly. “I have an idea. Hold on, I’ll be right back.”
As Adagio left the room, Twilight decided to dig through her clothes to see if she brought anything suitable for this.
Shame I didn’t bring my Crystal Prep uniform, she thought to herself, kneeling down next to her suitcase. Actually, no, the legalities of wearing a specific school’s uniform in a porn video would be a nightmare, she realized with a laugh.
She picked out a light blue button up shirt and a dark purple plaid skirt that Adagio had helped her pick out. The skirt was considerably shorter than she was used to wearing, and the shirt left some of her midriff exposed, but that was probably a good thing in this case. The door opened again, and Twilight looked up just in time to see a banana fly through the air to land on the bed right in front of her. She looked back at Adagio to see her leaning against the door frame with a cocky grin.
“Show me what you got, girl” she said, nodding at the fruit.
Twilight glanced between the banana and the redhead a few more times, feeling her face warming up. “Are you serious?”
Adagio shrugged. “I figured you could use all the help you can get. And, more importantly, I figured this would be a fun to watch,” she grinned.
Twenty minutes later, Twilight was significantly more knowledgeable about how to perform a blowjob. She had also filled her backpack with a few different things she might need for the scene.
The ‘school uniform’ was in there, along with a few extra hair ties for the twin tails she planned on using. She also decided to bring her contacts just in case the director wanted her to not wear her glasses for the scene.
She checked the time, seeing that she didn’t have to leave for a little while yet. She considered going back to reading until then, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to focus on the text. Not with all the nagging thoughts and nerves she was having.
“Hey, Adagio?” Twilight’s train of thought came to a halt, eyes wide, as she looked up to see the other girl in the middle of eating a banana. “Uh… Is that what I think it is?”
Adagio nodded. “Oh relax. It’s still good.”
Twilight blushed. “It’s still pretty gross,” she said indignantly, getting a shrug from the redhead. “Anyway, I was just wondering about my scene later,” she started, waiting for Adagio to nod. “I’m really nervous about going there alone. It’d be so much easier for me if I had someone I knew, so I was wondering… i-if you’re not busy,” she let the question hang, feeling a little embarrassed at how needy she came off.
Adagio stuffed the remainder of the banana in her mouth, chewing slowly before answering. “You sure you wouldn’t want one of the other girls with you?”
Twilight fidgeted her thumbs. “I could ask River, but I’m asking you first. Honestly, I don’t really feel that close with the others. I mean, really I don’t know any of you girls as much as I’d like, but…” she trailed off, biting her lip.
Adagio shrugged. “Sure, I can tag along.”
“Oh, thank you!” Twilight pulled the redhead into a tight hug.
Adagio quickly extricated herself from the hug. “Right. When do we need to leave?”
Twilight checked the time on her phone. “About twenty minutes from now.”
“Alright, I’m gonna make myself a sandwich before we go. Come get me when it’s time,” she called over her shoulder as she left the room.
Twilight felt a surge of relief knowing that she’d at least have someone with her that she could talk to. Despite that, the fact that she now officially had a job lined up, and that she was about to have sex with a stranger today, made her heartbeat race.
She took a deep breath and distracted herself by double checking that she had everything she’d need.
Author's Note
In hindsight, this chapter is a bit more meandering than it probably should be. I wanted to focus on introducing Adagio a bit more, and go into a few of the details of porn before we get into the real meat of the story. Worry not, though, the pace will be picked up quite nicely with the next chapter!
I also feel like I should clarify something. I made reference to this in the first chapter, but never properly mention it. This story is an AU that has no connection to Equestria or magic.
Sunset is simply a runaway teen living on her own, Twilight has neither a magic amulet nor a talking dog, and the Dazzlings are not magical sirens, and have never been to Canterlot High School.
The more I think about it, the more I realize this fic doesn't have very many real connections to the source material... Oh well, here we are anyway.
