But such relationships were taboo among both dragons and ponies so they went into hiding. Founding their own secret village, this village. Those ponies and dragons interbreed resulting in we kirin who kept to the tradition of keeping the village secret for fear of what might happen if our existence was known."
"So that’s why you are know as dragon ponies and why their is so little known about you. But what does this have to do with the festival and Spike?" Twilight asked.

"But does Spike really have to hurt a kirin to do this?" Fluttershy said with a worried look.
"Do not worry, Spike need only make the champion submit. He does not even have land a single punch only subdue them. And if we are being truthful usually the chosen champion volunteers because they get off on the idea of being dominated.” Rain Shine explain
