(Takes place prior to the events of "The Best Gift Ever" since Mud Briar was seen with the Pies.)

Maud Pie couldn't be happier now that she has an amazing boyfriend like Mud Briar, and Mud Briar is happy to have a pony like Maud who not only understands him but technically shares in his passions.

However, Maud's parents have learned that their second oldest daughter has taken a boyfriend and are quite curious to meet the potential son-in-law. But Maud hasn't told them what Mud Briar is like.

Mud Briar accompanies Maud, both out of a desire to see the rock farm she grew up on and to be a supportive boyfriend for his special somepony. He doesn't seem nervous, but he hasn't been told what Igneous Rock and Cloudy Quartz are like.

Will this trip back to the rock farm go smoothly for Maud, and can she get her parents to approve of Mud Briar? Or will Mud Briar drive them all crazy with his technically correct way of speaking?
