Shining Armor was heading to his room in his and Cadence's palace in the crystal empire to relax as he had a long day trying to train a new recruit for the royal guard
As he made it past the dining hall however Twilight and Cadence were their to greet him.
"Oh hi girls...what are you both doing here?" Shining Armor asked.
"Twilight's friends asked me if Twilight could have a meal with us and I said yes. They are all having different appointments and wont be around to see Twilight today so I said yes." Cadence said. Shining Armor looked at Twilight.
"Is that okay with you Twily?" Shining Armor asked.
"Yeah whatever!" Twilight grunted as she was in a sad mood. The two of them picked up on it.
"Twilight is everything okay honey?" Cadence asked. Twilight shook her head. .
"Everything is fine let's just eat." Twilight said as she walked to the table. Shining Armor and Cadence felt worried about Twilight as she was usually excited to see them both.
Soon they all set the table and Cadence cooked the meal. Soon they were all eating it. Cadence and Shining Armor are and laughed away as they talked about the funny and good things that happened to them that week while Twilight stayed quiet and ate her meal. Soon Cadence spoke to Twilight.
"So hows your week been so far Twilight, what's going on with you?" Cadence asked cheerfully as she took a bite of her meal. Twilight stopped and looked at them both as she really wasnt in the mood for eating
"I went to the doctors for an appointment." Twilight said.
"Did you stare at any of the sexy nurses?" Shining Armor teased.
"Yeah did they find an alien growing in you?" Cadence joked as they both ate wondering it it was any fun for Twilight.
"I was diagnosed with brain cancer." Twilight said bluntly. Cadence and Shining Armor stopped eating and stared at her shock, they had not been prepared for Twilight to tell them in such a blunt way.
Cadence and Shining Armor were devasted when they heard this, nothing could have prepared them for this news. It was a nightmare.
All of the enjoyment of the dinner that they could have had was now sucked out and left despair in its place.
Shining Armor and Cadence were still shocked by what they heard.
"Why did you wait to tell us!?" Cademce asked. Twilight shrugged.
"I didnt think you two would give a shit so I hesitated. Its obvious you'll forget all about this conversation." Twilight said with a shrug.
"How could you think like that about us of coarse we care! Did your parents hear about this?"" Cadence begged.
"Of coarse they did but they dont care. Alls they care about is their precious little boy!" Twilight spat at Shining Armor.
"Twilight dont go there right this is not the time to be arguing." Shining Armor begged.
"Why are you so worried? Your mommies precious baby boy so you dont have to worry about her reactions since your the favorite!" Twilight remarked with disgust which made Shining Armor react in shock.
"Twilight please dont be like that right now! It's not the time for digging up old wounds. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you!" Shining Armor exclaimed as he began to cry.
"Please don't what? Tell the truth? I thought you would be used to that by now since it's coming from your sister?" Twilight spat.
"Twilight please were both very sorry that this happened to you. Cant we just stop talking about the past issues and talk about this?" Cadence asked
"Why? So you can coddle me like how daddy never did. Oh but you must have done lots of it since you were their more than him. Where you always there just so you could hop on Shining's dick later?" Twilight insulted.
"Twilight stop this is only bringing more negativity. We should stick together like a family okay?" Cadence begged. Twilight snorted.
"Stick together? Please give me a break it's to late for that. Save it for when I'm buried ten feet under. How about that?" Twilight spat with venom.
Cadence and Shining Armor were both sobbing and crying. They felt so bad and helpless for Twilight.
"Twilight please...tell us what to do." Shining Armor said.
"Dont worry. You can just run your momma bear and tell her about your mental booboos. She'll swaddle you and feed you your baba and say oh shiny I'm soooooo sorry about your sick frail sister want a lollipop?" Twilight spat. Shining Armor buried his hand in his face and cried as Cadence comforted him.
"Twilight please your upsetting us and only making it worse for you!" Cadence said.
"Well then you'll be celebrating when I'm dead then wont you then you wont have to hear me rant about what makes me upset!" Twilight said with and angry resentful voice.
"Thsts not true Twilight! We will be devastated if you die!" Cadence said.
"Yeah well you wont be the first." Twilight said. Twilight then left the castle without saying goodbye and went back to Ponyville while Cadence and Shining Armor both cried. Cadence and Shining Armor finished their meals in sadness and then cried together.
After that Twilight continued her treatment in a depressed state and condemned her mother in a letter. Her friends supported Twilight throughout her cancer treatment.
A few days into the treatment Cadence and Shining Armor apologized to Twilight for wronging her in the past and Twilight accepted their apologies. Twilight Velvet and Nightlight also met up with her and Twilight Velvet apologized for not being such a good mom to Twilight and Twilight forgave her.
Twilight's friends and family prayed for her throughout the treatment and after two years of fighting the disease Twilight's cancer went into complete remission.
When Twilights doctors told her the news she told everyone she knew and her friends and family celebrated the news. Twilights friende and family were happy that Twilight had survived.
