Agent Nevada knew that his "retirement" wouldn't last long. Ever since his supposed death during a mission for his former employers, better known as UNSC Project Freelancer, he knew that his past would eventually catch up with him, as it always does.

However, it seems he was dealt a good hand by fate this time around. Rescued from his quiet life by UNSC Command, he is asked to investigate a mysterious signal coming from a nebula near Planet Chorus, currently the site of an ongoing civil war.

However, while en route to Chorus, Nevada is pulled into a spatial anomaly and brought to a strange world known as Equestria, with his only companion being UNSC AI by the name of Garrett. But it seems that this world is inhabited by pastel-colored equines with crazy ideas about friendship and harmony....

What's a high-tech armored mercenary to do but make some new friends?
