The Great War was a decades-long militarized conflict between two global superpowers, the pony nation of Equestria and an unnamed zebra nation with whom it shared a border. Equestria was forced into a rushed industrial revolution as the two superpowers raced to outdo each other in the fields of arcane science, industry, and wartime technology.

That's what everypony believed. As time has shown, the past has many secrets, some of which tend to be forgotten.

Other factions emerged during the conflict. Some took advantage of the chaos Equestria had fallen into and gained power, others were formed to protect their homeland and people, a few were forced, and there were those who simply wanted to tear it all down and start anew.

One individual made certain these forces were erased from the history books, so their stories were never told, until now.
