The story of Cloudsdale

Once upon a time, in what is now cloudsdale today long before the founding of Equestria.

A king named King Breezy I wanted to start a new kingdom under a new set of rules many years ago.

Before this, Breezy was a young peasant pegasus pony who farmed clouds and rainbows in the past before King Stormy’s law about the weather was passed, the peasant was an outcast to the rest of the kingdom. He felt that life in this kingdom was not the way he learned at school, he was forced to make disastrous weather every day because of the law, if he didn’t, it would be a sign of defiance and he would be killed. Other weather farmers had to do the same, some of his friends he knew since his time in school who defied the law were captured by the king’s guards and never heard of them again. He decided to find some followers but it was a difficult job to do. He was just an average peasant who didn’t know anything that was going on the ground, so he decided to explore the ground of the earth, when he looked down on the earth, he couldn’t believe what he saw, he saw the damage that King Stormy and his minions had done. He saw dark skies, the houses of earth ponies damaged by lightning, the crops of farmers damaged by tornadoes, and the ponies were freezing and starving to death. Since he saw all of this, he couldn’t turn around because he was branded as a traitor to the kingdom by order of the King and his cloud farm has been confiscated by his noble ponies and officials.

He was stuck on the ground with no home. Then, a random earth pony asked if the pegasus wanted to stay at his house for a few days. He accepted the offer, so when the earth pony invited him to his house, he was offered food and shelter from the freezing cold. The pegasus peasant told his story about his life in the clouds and the earth pony was shocked to hear that. While Breezy was staying at the earth pony’s house, he wrote hundreds of letters to all of the pegasi in the kingdom, after he wrote them, he tossed them in the air.

The next day, a young pegasus mare named Sunny Days walking around the kingdom and caught the letter by surprise and ran quickly to her house. She then opened the letter, it shows where Breezy is and he wrote why the pegasi shouldn’t obey King Stormy because of his damages and decadence. Sunny Days then traveled to earth to meet him and asked the earth ponies where he is. One of them told that he was staying at one of their houses. An earth pony brought her to his house and she met Breezy. She was happy that she found him, she thought he was dead. The two pegasi then fell in love after a few dates.

Breezy said he would be the future king as King Breezy I and Sunny Days would be Queen Sunny I.

Later, more and more followers then admire Breezy when they read the letters written by him, but some of the pegasi who got the letters that were caught by the king’s guards end up in prison for life for treason and some of them were killed.

Many pegasi loyal to Breezy then started an uprising to create a land rid of the faulty and mean ways of King Stormy, King of the Kingdom of Rainyland. Breezy’s followers were successful, Breezy then returned to his land and founded his own kingdom known as the Kingdom of Cloudtopia and became King Breezy I and married Sunny Days to become Queen Sunny I. He then converted his cloud farm to a royal residence. His brave followers that had led the uprising were chosen as his personal guards by the king. The leader of the uprising that survived was chosen as their captain. However, these events had split the kingdom into two because the lands owned by those loyal to Stormy including some residents and farmers wouldn’t accept the new king because they think it’s just isn’t right to do that.

Over many years, the two kings had hated each other and no one on each side not even the noble pegasi were allowed to visit the each other and also have limited to no contact. This huge burden then passes on to future kings, nobles, and generations of citizens on both sides of the line. Generations later, there was a young pegasus prince of the kingdom named Cloudsy, he was the prince of his kingdom and Breezy I’s great great grandson. He was a young stallion in a stunning white outfit and a gorgeous look. The king of this kingdom was his father, King Breezy III. The young prince had a unique personality from his family. He was curious, open, caring, and respects others. While his father was strict, traditional, and overprotective of his son.

The prince got his personality mostly from his mother, Queen Sweet Cloud. She was an ordinary young mare who love to help others, she was a maid for families of all walks of life, she first worked for normal families, then elite ones until she has been hired by the king at the time, King Whitewind. King Whitewind wanted to hire her because of recommendations from his nobles and the royal guard officers who had been her customers. On the first day of her job, she was given a room for Sweet Cloud and her family to stay, she was then assigned to prepare dinner for the family and cleaning their rooms. While she was cleaning the palace, she accidentally bumped into the prince, Prince Breezy. The prince then told the maid if she’s okay, she said yes. Then the two pegasi then dated and a few dates later, Prince Breezy proposed to her and she accepted. After the wedding, Sweet Cloud was no longer working as a maid, instead she became a princess and future queen.

The dream of the prince was to unify the two kingdoms with love, happiness, and friendship. He asked his father if he wanted to visit Rainyland for himself and the future of his kingdom, but his majesty always says no to that, then the king told his son the story of how his great-great-grandfather saved this land, a story passed down from him. The prince was so sad to hear that and angry of the story. His father told him to never touch their clouds, when he heard that, he ran to his room and cried in bed. So during the night while the whole palace was sleeping, he gets out of bed and flew down from the window of his room. While disguised as a normal everyday pegasus, he decided to sneak into the opposing kingdom to take a walk around and successfully moved past the border guards of both kingdoms. He looked around and thought it looked the same as his kingdom, but the buildings were in a different color and weather making was mechanized. He was so tired he decided to sleep on the street not far from the kingdom’s palace. The next morning, The princess of Rainyland, Princess Lightning, woke up and asked her father, King Thunderstorm I, if she could walk outside and smell the air, he said yes.

The princess while escorted by the guards founded a normal pegasus who slept overnight on the street. Princess Lightning asked if the normal pegasus if he was okay. He said he was okay, then the princess asked the guards to go back to the castle. He saw the young mare with his own eyes and in his mind, she was the most beautiful pegasus mare he had ever seen. The pegasus then asked the young mare who she was. The disguised prince then asked the princess to go somewhere private where nopony could see them. At the corner, he told the princess in her ear that he is the prince of her rival kingdom. The princess was shocked about it and went to her favorite cafe to have breakfast with him. Since talking about Cloudtopia in Rainyland was illegal after Cloudtopia was founded, they decided to whisper to each other’s ears about his time in the palace and his kingdom. The princess then showed the normal pegasus her kingdom, she told him the kingdom has gone through a lot of reforms and their lives are better, they then continued their conversation. The princess started to admire the young gentlecolt. She then said she will help him find a place to stay, so she brought him to her palace, where he could stay safe from the crowd and made him comfortable.

Meanwhile, back in Cloudtopia, the king went to the prince’s room and knocked on its door. He told the prince to wake up, but no response. When the king broke the door, he saw that his son was not there. So when the king then called the guards, the guards came. The guards bow to the king and the king told the guards he was kidnapped. The guards laughed so hard at him and thought of it as a joke, but the king said this is serious business and it must be taken care of as an emergency. The guards said yes. The guards then searched in and out of the castle then they interviewed the border guards. The guards returned to the castle and told the king that they searched everywhere and the prince was not anywhere in the country, one guard said that a border guard knew something was suspicious. The king then invited the border guard captain for dinner with the king and the queen. The king then asked him questions about where he is, the captain doesn’t know but he said he knew from his colleague that last night, there was a normal citizen crossing the border. The king then said that it was impossible and no one ever did that since the founding of our beloved nation. The king then told the captain what does the pegasus look like, when the captain told him the details, the king couldn’t believe it. The king was angry that his own son betrayed him. He then create strict security measures on the border with Rainyland and the palace, told the captain that he’s demoted, and putting bars on his son’s window.

In Rainyland, the prince was brought to the castle by the princess. The prince saw the castle and couldn’t believe what he saw. The palace was so spectacular in his own eyes and thought of himself was this the kingdom his father had told him about. Then, the princess introduced the disguised prince to her father. When his majesty saw that the princess made a friend outside the castle, he was happy to hear that.

Then there was a problem, the border guards of Rainyland knocked on every citizen’s door and each time, they asked if they saw the spy that crossed the border illegally, they also said the reward would be 100 Rainyland bits for any citizen who brings that pegasus to the guards, any citizen who houses him would be sentenced to jail for a minimum of 3 years and/or fined 200 Rainyland bits.

Meanwhile, at the castle in Cloudtopia, the king declared a national emergency to his guards and the nobles of the castle. He announced that he would create a high ranking guard force to go into Rainyland and rescue his son. One of the most trusted guards of the king would be chosen as the force’s captain. The captain of the force was chosen for the job. In the meeting room, he told the force members to disguise as everyday pegasi, sneak across the border, and look everywhere for the prince. The members then agreed and saluted to the captain and the king.

In Rainyland, the disguised prince and the princess were having a date at a nearby cafe. They were telling jokes, having tea, and talking about life. After their date, they began to admire each other, and then they fell in love.

When the guards found the illegal in the cafe, the prince flew away and the guards chase after him. He was then caught by the guards and sent him to King Thunderstorm I. King Thunderstorm then asked questions to the prince in a mean tone like who he was, then the King’s Guards removed his disguise. When the king discovered it was the prince of Cloudtopia because of his genetic traits, he couldn’t believe it and ordered his guards to put him in the castle prison. In the prison, he was locked up inside. King Thunderstorm I then argues with his daughter for having contact with that traitor, the princess was then slapped and was grounded inside of her room. The princess was angry and sad about her father. She then asked herself while crying in her room why isn’t her father going to accept the fact that she was in love with him and why couldn’t the two kingdoms choose to love each other than fighting against each other.

The next day, the prince, while escorted by Rainyland guards and the king head to the border checkpoint to be deported back to his home kingdom. When they arrive the king of Rainyland and his guards asked to meet their counterparts face to face. The guards of Cloudtopia then forward his request to the captain of the Royal Guard of Cloudtopia, then the captain then forwards it to King Breezy III, the King then accepts the request and asked the captain and the guards to go to the border checkpoint.

They went to the border checkpoint and met his son and the king of Rainyland. The two meet eye to eye arguing with each other. King Thunderstorm then handed King Breezy his son back to him. They went back to their respective castles afterwards with complaints.

In the castle in Cloudtopia, the king asked his son what was he doing over there and the prince said he was looking for his true love over there. This then started an argument between father and son. After a few arguments later, his majesty, the king allowed him to marry that princess.

Meanwhile, the King Thunderstorm came to his daughter’s room to talk about the marriage with the prince because the king felt guilty himself.

The two kings then talked to each other about their children’s marriage and they agree that when the princess of Rainyland marries the prince of Cloudtopia, the border would be open to all.

In the wedding, the two young pegasi, Cloudsy and Lightning were happily married. A few years later, their parents died and the two young pegasi became king and queen of a new kingdom called Cloudsdale which they renamed a day after their coronation and the border was officially dissolved, unifying the two kingdoms.

THE END

Generations later, a descendent of these two happy royals, King Cloudsy IV agreed with Princess Celestia to unite with Equestria by signing a treaty, the treaty states that he has to give up his crown, hand the power to her and become mayor of Cloudsdale and the prince of all pegasi instead.
