The Sweetest Herd in Ponyville

You could still recall the events that took place throughout your entire past life. You spent some of the earliest years of your life living in an orphanage, since your parents died from a deadly disease. Here, bullies would tear down many of the other kids, including you, but you somehow managed to get on their good sides when you developed a your skills these new skills in the kitchen. The dishes you made were all desserts and as anyone would know, almost every kid loves sweets.

Almost every day after dinner, you would head into the kitchen and bake up some delicious sweets and pastries for the other kids. Every day, up until you were about 12 years old, you’ve brought smiles to everyone who enjoyed your cooking.

Unfortunately, there always comes a time when some foster kids end up getting adopted and you were one of them. It was heartbreaking to leave everyone, but you still had those wonderful memories to keep you company. And what’s more is that the family who adopted you had a 16 year old daughter who always wanted a younger sibling.

Your foster father was a teacher, so for a couple of years, you spent your time studying at home in order to prepare you for a real school. In short, your life was a fairly nice one, even after you graduated from high school and college.

However, even though your foster parents and your foster sister were good people, you still felt curious of how much different your life would be if your biological parents were still alive. It was no mystery that they died from a disease, but you were clueless on what kind of people they were like since you never knew them. Were they kind, mean, poor, rich, somewhere in between? All these questions clouded your mind and wouldn’t go away.

After college, you got a job at a bakery in the city. Every once in a while, your sister would come by to grab a box of donuts on her way to work in the morning. It was a surprise to you when she got married when she was 22. Two years into her marriage, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy whom she named “William,” or “Will” for short.

Some time had passed and little William was now 8 years old and you were 26. You were still working at the bakery, or at least you were until... the unthinkable happened. It all began when you were heading back home after another tiring day at work. You were coming across a railway intersection where screams were ringing out. You ran to the source of the screams as quick as you could and noticed a woman was standing in the middle of the railway with her arms spread out. It looked like she was allowing the train to ram her and it was coming fast.

You couldn’t allow her to do such a thing so you rushed towards her as fast as you could and tackled her out of the way in time for her to be saved... but not in time for you to save yourself. Right as the train hit you, everything flashed black and white.

Your eyes shot wide open and you screamed slightly as you sat up from your bed. Your breath grew heavy and sweat covered your face. Looking around your bedroom, it was clear that you had that dream again and you slumped back into your bed, groaning.

“Not again,” you said to yourself, wiping the sweat off. “When are they going to stop?”

After gathering your thoughts, you got out of bed and peeked out the window so you could get a good look at the peaceful and friendly town of Ponyville. Having only arrived in the land of Equestria a month, you could still easily recall what happened the day you woke up. You were scared out of your wits when you first saw the humanoid ponies. However, you had these two married couples, Twilight and Beau, as well as Frosty and Pinkie Pie to thank after they showed you that Equestria was a peaceful land and they even gave you a new home and a job you love.

Things went by so fast, as it was on your very first day in this new world that you started working at Sugarcube Corner, helping out with baking lots of delicious sweets, just like Pinkie and Frosty. Of course, you wouldn’t have gotten the job without talking to the bakery’s owners who were also another married couple, Carrot and Cup Cake.

Both of the Cakes sympathized for you, just like they did for the rest of the humans that have landed in Equestria. Mrs. Cake was like a mother to you; kind and caring, always ready to comfort and help when you needed it. In fact there a few times where she came into your room to do so when you had one of your nightmares. It did make you feel a bit like a child, but at the same time you were grateful to the mare for her concern.

Mr. Cake was just as good of a friend to you as his wife was. Though he could be a little strict at times, he wanted the best for you and did what he could to make you feel comfortable here at Sugarcube Corner.

Seeing how nice of a day it was helped calming down from your dream and you looked over at the clock to learn that you woke up at a good time. After letting out a good yawn, you walked out of your room to meet up with Pinkie and the Cakes downstairs.

“Good morning everypony,” you greeted, seeing how everyone was awake and downstairs for breakfast.

“Good morning,” they greeted back, calling out your name.

“We heard you screaming upstairs, did you have that dream again?” Mrs. Cake asked, coming over and giving you one of the nice hugs that always made you feel better.

“Yeah, it’s been happening every day for about for the past few days now. I don’t get why exactly they started, nor do I know why Princess Luna doesn’t do anything to help me,” you sighed.

“Oh, I’m pretty sure there’s a rational explanation, just give it time. Here, come and have a seat, we all know it’s not good to start the day with an empty stomach,” the light blue mare urged, leading you over to an empty chair. Despite your nightmares, you smiled to see that for breakfast there was some delicious blueberry pancakes, hash browns and a few donuts. Pinkie had quite a large stack of pancakes on her plate, which helped keep that smile on your face as you watched her eat them.

“Please help yourself, dearie,” Mrs. Cake said as she fixed you a plate. You couldn’t help licking your lips a little as you stared at the stack of three pancakes, complete with some nice maple syrup and some butter.

“Thanks Mrs. Cake, it looks delicious,” you said before cutting the first piece out of your breakfast. As always, her cooking didn’t fail to disappoint you. Of course, it wasn’t just pancakes, you decided to try some of the hash browns too. They too they tasted amazing and the crunchy texture was just right.

Sitting across from you were the youngest residents of Sugarcube Corner. The young colt with the brown mane and cream white fur is the Cake’s son, Pound Cake. Sitting next to him is his twin sister, Pumpkin Cake. She had an orange mane and had yellow fur just like her father, but it was a little lighter. It wasn’t just them, sitting beside Pound and Pumpkin were Pinkie and Frosty’s own twins, Pecan and Lemon Pie. All four of them were happily eating their pancakes as well.

During the month you’ve been here, you’ve become very attached to the two sets of twins, despite how hyper they could be. You often walked them to Cheerilee’s school, helped Pinkie with babysitting and even helped them go to sleep by either reading them bedtime stories or telling them exciting stories, which Lemon Pie liked the most. You’d be more than happy to walk them to school once again once breakfast was finished.

You made sure to get a good fill of food before you got to work since you would need all the energy you can get for today. First thing was to make sure both the Pie and Cake twins got to school safely. Naturally, you managed to reach the school safely with no problems whatsoever.

“Alright you kids, have a good day at school. I’ll be sure to pick you up at 2:30 PM sharp if your parents are too busy,” you said, kneeling down with a smile. You reached out to ruffle Pumpkin and Pound’s heads and Pecan and Lemon were next. It was nice to hear a good laugh from the little rascals before seeing them off.

Once they made it clear that they understood when you’d come back for them, you left the schoolhouse in order to start your shift at the bakery. You knew that it was going to be another busy day in Sugarcube Corner, as ever since you moved in, the shop has been flooding with customers from all over Ponyville. With business getting better than ever, the extra bits went straight to everyone’s paychecks.

You temporarily forgot about your nightmares when you were baking treats. You just received an order for a box of a dozen donuts. The customer made it very clear that he wanted each one to have a different flavor. You, Pinkie and Frosty worked together, naturally wasting no time in preparing what some beginners would call “a pretty hard dish to make,” but that’s only if they don’t know what they’re doing. Each of you has been making treats for years and teamwork made your job even easier.

“La la la la la! Sweets, sweets, sweets are a tasty treat. Sweets, sweets, sweets are so yummy to eat. Yum, yum, yummy in my tummy,” Pinkie sang to herself as she baked. You rolled your eyes and shook your head with amusement as you listened to the pink earth pony mare entertain herself as she worked.

“Nothing like some good ol’ fashion singing to make our jobs a lot more fun, eh Pinkie?” you asked, chuckling a bit.

“Yup-a-roonie, I love singing while I work,” Pinkie nodded with that always-adorable smile. “You should try singing while you work as well. I’ve seen how you always do it when you put the kids to sleep.”

“She’s right, you know. It’s very hard for some people to have fun while they work, but we’ve adapted to it pretty well,” Frosty added.

“I’ll be sure to keep that in mind,” you responded as you got back to baking. Checking the oven, you saw that the donuts were coming along really nicely and were almost ready to be taken out. While they were still baking, you set up a variety of 13 different flavors, some of which you never even heard of such as ringer dinger, doodle dot, chimy cheer and skittle-licious. No doubt that last one was Frosty’s idea, considering you both knew what skittles were.

You knew that at this rate, it wouldn’t be long before the order was ready and kept smiling as you watched the donuts bake. You were however, forced to look away from the tasty sight when Mrs. Cake’s sweet voice called out for you.

“Excuse me dearie, I know you’re busy, but I need your help. There’s a few boxes of cupcakes and muffins that I can’t carry with my own two hands, could you be a dear and grab few?” she asked.

“Sure, I’ll right over there,” you said before turning your attention to Pinkie and Frosty. “Hey, if the donuts finish baking, could you two take them out and let them cool off?” you asked.

“Okie dokie lokie,” Pinkie saluted.

“That won’t be a problem, we’ve got your back,” Frosty added.

“Alright thanks. I owe you one,” you said before leaving the kitchen to help out Mrs. Cake. From what you can tell, she had a total of 5 boxes in total and she’s barely able to keep from losing her balance. No doubt Mr. Cake would’ve taken your place if he wasn’t away delivering a few boxes of pastries to Johanna Justice, or Mayor Mare as everyone in Ponyville calls her, and her human fiancé, Edgeworth.

You rushed over and grabbed 3 of the 5 boxes Mrs. Cake had in her hands and as a result, saved her from falling on the ground with an aching back.

“Phew, that was close. You okay, Mrs. Cake?” you asked.

“I’m fine now, dearie. Thank you for grabbing the boxes,” she replied, smiling back at you. Relieved, you carried the cupcake and muffin boxes over to the counter and set them down next to the register. “I wonder if Carrot will be okay on the trip to Mayor Mare’s house. With her recent mood swings, she can be a real live wire.”

“Mood swings?” you asked.

“Trust me, you’re better off not knowing, sweetheart. It’s not a pretty sight,” she insisted. You had no choice but to believe her, what with that nervous smile of hers. You probably thought she witnessed it first-hand and the image was burned into her mind.

“Anything else?” you asked

“No dearie, I can take it from here. You can go back in the kitchen now. Again, thank you.” Just as you were about take your leave, Mrs. Cake pulled you into a nice hug. You hugged her back like any good friend would do.

But then... the atmosphere grew a little awkward when a certain stallion came back and caught you two in the middle of the hug. His presence became known when he cleared his throat. Looking at the front door, you can see that Mr. Cake had returned home and he was quite amused to have caught the two of you in the act.

“I hope I wasn’t interrupting anything while I was gone,” he chuckled. Instantly, you and Mrs. Cake pulled away and looked towards the yellow stallion.

“Oh, no need to worry, honey, it was just a hug I gave to our friend here for helping me with the boxes and saving the desserts,” she explained.

“Yup and now I’ll leave you to your business and get back into the kitchen,” you said before getting back to your station. It felt nice to give assistance to the ones who decided to hire you.

Finally returning to the kitchen, you saw that Frosty and Pinkie had successfully taken out the donuts and laid the tray on a cooling rack. The happy couple gave you a thumbs up and a wink as a way of saying “you’re welcome”.

“What would I do without you guys?” you asked, very much grateful to them for handling things while you were gone.

Today’s work included more than just donuts, pretty soon, an order for a wedding cake was requested by Johanna and Edgeworth. Their wedding day was scheduled tomorrow and the cake was one of the most important parts of the celebration. You still wondered what Mrs. Cake meant by Johanna having mood swings. However, considering that she doesn’t want to talk about it, asking her about them again wouldn’t help out. So, while you were working, you asked the party-planner pony herself.

“Hey, Pinkie Pie. What does mean when a mare goes through “mood swings?”

“Oh that’s an easy one!” she exclaimed as if she had figured out the winning question for a game show. “It’s a mare goes through when they’re pregnant. They always change their moods from happy, to sad, to angry, and to... playful at random times. Basically, when a mare’s pregnant, they’re like a ticking time bomb, which can be a real hassle for the stallion/man. Especially when they’ve got those unusual cravings for ice cream and chocolate-covered pickles,” Pinkie explained and your eyes widened once she was finished.

“Yeesh, sounds like Edgeworth has his hands full. And I was surprised to know that she was pregnant and she’s going through something like that,” you said.

“Trust me, it’s a lot more scary if you witness it for yourself, but I think it’d be best if you don’t see how she acts...” Frosty implied. If it’s as bad as they say it is, then you’re better off not experiencing it... unless you end up getting married yourself. The only thing now was to find a pony that was right for you.

Since your future love life was irrelevant right now, you shrugged it off and just focused on preparing the wedding cake. Getting it finished on time ended up taking a group effort. First off, Mr. Cake’s job was getting the 5 layer wedding cake perfectly even so it didn’t lean on one side. Next, Pinkie and Frosty had the responsibility of decorating and adding vanilla into the middle layer of each cake layer. Lastly, you and Mrs. Cake worked together to get the cake batter all mixed up perfectly and let it bake in the oven.

“Whoo, if this cake doesn’t satisfy the mayor, I don’t know what will,” you said. “Not a bad team effort, eh Mrs. Cake?” you asked, turning to your partner.

“You’re in a remarkably good mood for someone who keeps having nightmares,” she pointed out.

“I guess I kinda forgot about them whenever I’m deeply focused into my work, baking just makes me so happy. But now since you brought it up, I won’t be able to get it out of my mind. Maybe tonight, when I head off to bed, Princess Luna might have an explanation for why they keep coming back,” you said.

“Oh I’m sorry dearie,” Mrs. Cake said, making you feel slightly guilty. She gave you another nice hug, which despite your guilt, you still returned. Just like before, the tender moment was interrupted when you noticed Mr. Cake was watching you.

“Uh... something wrong, Mr. Cake?” you asked.

“Oh no, just a little curious, that’s all,” he assured. “Curious of whether or not you have a crush my wife that is,” he said, making you both blush intensely.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, hang on there! Yes, I admit she’s beautiful, but that’s not gonna set aside the fact that she’s already married and has kids-” You stopped right there, realizing you had said a too much, as you could hear Pinkie and Frosty snickering. Overwhelmed with embarrassment, you stormed out of the kitchen and ran upstairs to your room. You were in such a hurry, there’s no way you could have noticed Mrs. Cake glaring at her husband.

Safe in the confines of your rooms, your rubbed both sides of your head as you couldn’t believe what Mr. Cake just said to you. You were sweating quite a bit, almost as much as you did after waking up from one of your nightmares, but you wiped it off, catching your breath.

“Mr. Cake, sometimes you can be just too much...” you said, sighing while talking to yourself. “Did he have to blurt it out to everyone like that?” Several minutes later, you heard a knock on the door and had a very good guess who it was.

“Dearie, can I come in please?” You couldn’t turn down Mrs. Cake when she asked so nicely.

“Sure, it’s unlocked,” you confirmed without turning around to face the door. Hearing it open, you remained facing away as Mrs. Cake sat on the bed next to you and touched your shoulder.

“I hope you’re not too ashamed sweetie, Carrot was just playing with you. I already warned him to be more careful with his jokes from now on. Are you going to okay now, dear?” she asked.

“Yeah, I should be. Thanks, Mrs. Cake,” you replied.

“Though I have to ask, I couldn’t possibly fail to hear when you said I was beautiful. I promise not to embarrass you too much, but... do you really have a crush on me?” You gulped down a huge lump that was stuck in your throat before confessing.

“Well... at first I thought of you as just a friend, but because I’ve been working for a whole month here and gotten to know you more, I couldn’t help but stop my feelings towards you from growing. I always kept it to myself because-” Before you could finish it, Mrs. Cake stopped you by shushing you gently with a finger to your lips.

“There, there, that’s very sweet of you, dear, but you should understand that I have a husband and children I love and care for. I know you’re expecting this, so I’m just going to tell you... we can still be friends. I hope you understand,” she said. It was clear that she knew she had just broken your heart and tried to comfort you by giving you a hug.

“I’m sorry dearie... but I can give you this...” Pulling out of the hug, she made you feel a little better by giving you a quick peck on your cheek. You quickly started blushing and were unable to say anything as you looked at her beautiful smile. “Please get some rest, I’ll tell the others not to disturb you.” Still shocked by the kiss, you could only nod slowly before the light blue mare stood up and left your room. In a split second, you thought you saw a tear fall down her face as she closed the door.

Even though you were heartbroken at the nice mare’s rejection, for some reason you couldn’t force out any tears. Perhaps when you saw her cry, it was some sort of sign that she had just missed out on something. When you first met her, you never considered going out with her, nor with any other mares because at the time, you just didn’t have the time or you just weren’t ready for that. Or maybe you were just satisfied with being an uncle, despite not being blood-related to anyone in this world.

With that thought slowly going away, it wasn’t long before you drifted off into sleep. Just like the last few nights, the dreams of your past had come back. Every single memory from your past life played all over again. Only this time, when it came to the part with the train rescue, you suddenly regained control over yourself and foolishly put your hand out as if telling it to stop.

But something else happened: the train suddenly phased right through you and kept on going. You looked around and saw no one in sight. No cars, no people, just an empty road, as well as a dense fog. As far as you can remember, this wasn’t in your previous dreams. It could only mean one thing.

“Princess Luna... are you there?” you called out. The princess of the night immediately appeared in front of you in a beautiful white light.

“I am here, my homo sapien friend. Is something troubling you?” she asked, knowing the answer to that question.

“Yes, first of all with a due respect, I don’t understand why you aren’t helping me with my nightmares before. For the past few nights, I’ve dreamt of my past life. Every single time, it started from the day I was born to the day when I died in that rescue attempt. I just don’t get why I keep having these dreams. Do you have any idea what’s causing all of this?” you asked.

“You have my sincerest apologies. Indeed you deserve an explanation for why I didn’t act sooner. You see, I failed to stop these nightmares because I wanted to do some research on what your biological parents were like. I’ve noticed how you seem empty every time you think about them in your dreams. I only managed to find out their names, but for your sake, I will keep looking,” she confessed.

“I see... so then why does this dream keep coming back?” you asked.

“From what I can tell, you’ve continued to keep your true feelings bottled up with each happy couple you come across. I saw it in your eyes from the moment you saw your foster sister have her son. I also sensed a hint of depression in you. You loved your foster family very much and that’s every foster child wants, but deep down the one thing that you never got to experience... was the feeling of being loved by not just your real parents... but also by someone you wanted to spend the rest of your life with,” she explained.

“I... never really thought of it that way. Now I really don’t know what to think anymore. What am I supposed to do now?” you asked, squeezing the bridge of your nose.

“You’ll have to figure it out on your own. Only you have the answer to this solution. Do not worry, I have faith you’ll find what you’re looking for,” Luna told you, lifting your chin. You sighed and give her a nod, understanding the situation. Pulling her hand away from your chin, the midnight blue alicorn gave you a hug before disappearing in a beautiful light. You had reasons to believe the rest of your dream would be peaceful.

Like Mrs. Cake said, she made sure no one came into your room since you were so upset, but you doubted she told anyone why. Respecting your privacy, Pinkie picked the kids up from school in your place, while Mr. Cake decided not to risk making your situation worse by telling more jokes.

Walking into the kitchen for another delicious breakfast, Mrs. Cake looked at you with a guilty smile on her face. You smiled back at her, but it only displayed sadness since it was evident that your love for her wouldn’t work out. Even as Pinkie set a plate of chocolate chip pancakes in front of you, it didn’t light the mood too much.

“I thought you’d be more excited, chocolate chip is your favorite,” Pinkie said with a frown. You had no intention of telling her what was wrong, especially since she and Frosty were snickering at you yesterday.

“Yeah, I do... it’s just... I had that dream again,” you said, getting ready to eat. This was a only half a lie, as you did dream about your past, but that wasn’t what was bothering you. Your pain was coming from the fact that you never found someone to be with. The only one who fits that category was Mrs. Cake, but she’s married. You didn’t think you’d ever feel so heartbroken.

“You’re not too mad at us from last night, are you?” Pinkie asked, concerned.

“No... I’m over that,” you lied on that one completely and just ate your breakfast slower than you normally did. The pink mare squinted her eyes suspicious, but left you to eat your breakfast in peace. She did however get some hints of what was bothering you when Mrs. Cake unexpectedly left the kitchen. Giving in to his instincts as a loving husband, Mr. Cake also got up to follow her.

As upset as you were, you were still planning on taking the job of delivering Johanna and Edgeworth’s wedding cake seriously. The celebration would be starting in 4 hours, but time goes by quickly.

You doubted that going to a wedding would help you get better, but you weren’t going to be rude and waste Edgeworth’s invitation. The two of you have been friends ever since he first showed you around Ponyville. Sometimes you would get together and go out for a couple of drinks or so. Usually Edgeworth does most of the drinking and you only have one shot. Regardless you maintained as good a relationship with him as you did with your friends here at Sugarcube Corner.

Finishing your pancakes, you spent the next hours of free time making yourself presentable for the wedding. Such preparations included taking a good hot shower and doing your personal hygiene routine. Next thing on your list was trying on the suit you received from one of Pinkie’s best friends, Rarity. The generous unicorn had a feeling you’d need one eventually and that time was now. Best thing about the suit was that after Rarity finished it, it was on the house.

Looking at yourself in mirror as you put on the dark purple suit, you made a mental note to let Rarity and her husband, Silver know that it was a perfect fit. Now the real challenge was to get on the necktie; though you most likely had a solution as you heard someone knock on your door.

“Come in,” you said. The door opens up and in walks Mrs. Cake wearing a dress that was a beautiful bright pink color and had baby blue trims. It was a very nice dress, considering it matched her fur and mane altogether and the glitter around her skirt area made it look even better.

“Almost ready, dearie?” she asked walking up to you.

“Almost, but I’m having trouble getting this tie on,” you replied, getting slightly frustrated. To be honest, you rarely wore ties since you were never very good with putting them on.

“Let me help you, hun,” she said taking the tie and putting it on for you. “You’d be surprised how many times I had to do this for Carrot before he finally got it down.” You chuckled a little bit, somewhat relieved to be reminded that you weren’t the only one who had these tie problems. In no time at all, you were ready to go.

“Thank you,” you said, but looking at how beautiful she was, you once again grew depressed that you couldn’t be with her.

“It was no trouble at all, dearie. I’m just glad I was able to help,” she said, but then noticed you were getting upset. “Dearie... I hope you’re not too upset with me after that talk last night. The last thing I want is some tension between us.”

“I’m getting a little better, it’s just... I feel even if I traveled all over Equestria, I wouldn’t want anypony else but you,” you said, making her blush. “You’ve been taking care of me ever since I started working here. Even if I went to greater lengths and decided to look for a soulmate beyond our borders, my journey would still end with the same result.”

Mrs. Cake was shocked by your confession and started crying. Unsure whether these were tears of joy or sadness, you wrapped your arms around her and slowly rubbed her back. This time, her husband didn’t show up to ruin the moment. Once Mrs. Cake was done crying, you walked her downstairs to meet with everyone else so you could help with the wedding cake. Just like you and Mrs. Cake, the other bakery residents were dressed nicely for the occasion, including the Pie and Cake twins.

“Aww, look how cute you all look,” you said, putting on a bright smile before bending down to pat their heads. Pumpkin Cake and Lemon Pie giggled since you started with them first and you got the same reaction when you ruffled Pound Cake and Pecan Pie’s heads.

“Well, are we all ready?” Mr. Cake asked.

“Yup-a-roonie, ready and waiting!” Pinkie excitedly answered while bouncing up and down. With that, you all began to push the cart that you used to carry the delicious wedding cake as you all headed outside.

To no surprise, Johanna Justice and Edgeworth’s wedding was being held at Town Hall. Practically everyone in Ponyville was attending and even Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were here since they had close ties to the mayor. You came at the perfect time when bringing the cake, setting it in the center of a party table where all the plates, utensils, and cups were all set up. The rest of the food was set up at a different table.

In addition to the nice cake, you also had a wedding present which you set alongside so many others. Pinkie told you how Celestia and Luna forgot to bring a present back when her good friend, Cranky Doodle Donkey was marrying his sweetheart, Matilda. Fortunately, it seems they learned from their mistake, as you noticed a large present with the Equestrian symbol on it.

With all that aside, you all took your seats, except for you, as Edgeworth asked you to be your best man. You didn’t leave him hanging and stood right behind him just as Octavia started off the orchestra. Apparently, she wasn’t being as extreme as you heard she was when she played for Cranky’s wedding.

“I can’t tell you how happy I am for you man,” you said patting Edgeworth’s shoulder.

“Thank you, but why do I get the feeling you’re troubled?” he asked, proving himself as a really observant man.

“Don’t worry about it, it’s a personal problem. Come on, today is all about you and Johanna. This is your time to shine,” you urged.

Right on schedule, Johanna slowly walks down isle, holding a bouquet. Right behind her, you recognized the flower fillies as Fluttershy, Rarity and Twilight’s daughters, Comfy Breeze, Crystal Gem and Moonlight Sparkle. The audience gave out “awws” of adoration from how cute they looked.

Speaking of dresses, you saw Johanna’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning. Rarity’s artwork was astounding. While it was white just like every other traditional wedding dress, this one was added some beautiful silver glitter around the trims and her long skirt area. To top it off, she had on this silver heart embedded in the chest area of the wedding dress. Just from looking at her, you can tell that in Edgeworth’s eyes, he was looking at the most beautiful angel he’s ever fell in love with.

Now facing each other, Johanna and Edgeworth didn’t look away even for a moment as the judge prepared them to say their wedding vows. “Johanna Justice, do you take Edgeworth to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love, honor and nurture through sickness and health, through good times and bad, for as long as you both shall live?”

“I do,” Johanna confirmed and the judge then turned to Edgeworth.

“And do you, Edgeworth, take Johanna to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love, to honor and to nurture through sickness and in health, through good times and bad, for as long as you both shall live?”

“I do,” Edgeworth confirmed, keeping his eyes on his lovely bride. Right after they said their vows, the ring bearer, who happens to be Spike and Emily’s son, Flamethrower, walked up to the couple and presented them their rings. Edgeworth and Johanna take the rings and place it on each other’s left ring finger.

“Then, by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.” he said. Lifting the veil and revealing her eyes filled with joyous tears, Edgeworth leaned in and kissed Johanna, making their marriage official. You and the rest of the audience applauded for the newly weds. Needless to say, you were very happy for Johanna and Edgeworth and wished them both the best in their future together. At the moment, you weren’t focused on the issues with Mrs. Cake. All that mattered to you right now, is that your friend is now happily married.
