Pinkie Pie was skipping along a trail in Ponyville as she went to go see her friend Rarity so she could see if Rarity would go to her hearths warming eve party that she was going to throw.
Soon she got to Carousel Boutique and tried to open the door. Unfortunately for her it was locked. She was expecting the door to be unlocked since Rarity had told her that she would be there.
Pinkie Pie didnt let this get her down though as she knew that Rarity had to be somewhere in town so she went off to search for her.
Pinkie Pie looked all over Ponyville for Rarity and each place she looked she couldnt find her friend. She was running out of places to look.
Pinkie Pie then realized the last place that Rarity would be at was the crystal Empire as Rarity was going their alot due to having to help out Cadence because Cadence was sick so she traveled by train to get their and once she got their she saw that Rarity was behind the Empire digging a hole.
As soon as Rarity saw Pinkie Pie she dropped the shovel.
"Pinkie Pie! What are you doing here!?" Rarity shrieked. Pinkie Pie flinched at the reaction but recovered.
"I came here to see you silly! You weren't at home. I wanted to see I'd you would go to my party for Hearth's Warming Eve party...what are you doing?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Pinkie Pie I know its weird but dont worry this doesnt look suspicious at all! I...I'm burying a time capsule yeah that's it! That's all I'm burying! And yes I'll go to your party!" Rarity said frantically.
Pinkie Pie looked behind Rarity and saw that their was a huge garbage bag tied and full of something long. Pinkie Pie tried to think of what it was as it was hard to make out.
"Alright Pinkie Pie you can go home now! Go to Sugarcube Corner!" Rarity begged.
"Rarity what's in the bag?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"Garbage! Really disgusting garbage to! Nothing you would want to see!" Rarity said as Pinkei Pie tried to see what was in the bag.
"Then why is it shaped like a body?" Pinkie Pie asked. Pinkie Pie's eyes then turned to Rarity in fright as she realized what Rarity had done.
"Rarity did you kill some-" Pinkie began to say but was cut off as Rarity tackled her and put her hand over her mouth.
"Pinkie Pie listen if you say a word to anybody I'll be going to jail! Just let me explain! Please!" Rarity said. Pinkie Pie nodded as she would give her friend a chance to explain herself.
Rarity uncovered Pinkie's mouth and took a deep breath and then she spoke.
"I was traveling to the Crystal Empire in order to meet up with a seamstress in order fo make a gown for Twilight....I came upon this merchant who acted like he was stalking me. I thought he was going to kill me but I realized he just wanted to sell something. Unfortunately I reacted to soon before he could tell me and I fatally stabbed him! You cant tell anybody about this!" Rarity begged.
Pinkie Pie sighed as she thought about the entire situation. She knew that she wasnt going to turn her friend in and knew that Rarity was very trustworthy. She finally spoke.
"Well hes deader than a door nail now. Honestly as fucked up as this is it's also fucking hilarious. You frantically burying a dead body of someone you just killed. It feels like something out of a comedy." Pinkie Pie laughed.
"Pinkie Pie that's not helping!" Rarity said. Rarity covered the hole back up and Pinkie Pie bought lighter fluid from a store in the Crystal Empire. She then set the body ablaze and they both watched it burn. And then Pinkie Pie turned to Rarity.
"Hey Rarity?" Pinkie Pie asked Rarity as they watched the flames. Rarity sighed and turned to Pinkie Pie.
"If the dead person comes back as a ghost will come to me and want a ghost party?!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed. Rarity sighed.
"Pinkie Pie that's not going to happen! He will probably find the light!" Rarity said.
"But what if he doesnt and he has to live in a ghost house and pay ghost rent! Will he take out a small loan of a million dollars to pay this rent!? Oh my gosh!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.
"Pinkie Pie theirs no such thing as ghost rent!" Rarity said as she seethed with annoyance.
"But then what about ghost taxes! Ghosts pay taxes right!" Pinkie Pie gasped. Rarity groaned loudly and held her fingers to her forehead in annoyance.
"Ghosts dont pay taxes if they are dead Pinkie! They either spend eternity in the place they died because they couldn't find the light and if they do find the light they go to heaven." Rarity explained.
But doesnt heaven have taxes. Does the ghost pay heaven taxes!" Pinkie Pie asked. Rarity felt like she was going to lose it.
"No Pinkie! Ghosts dont pay heaven taxes because their is no taxes in heaven. Besides people in heaven arent ghosts they are angels!" Rarity exclaimed in anger.
"Alright geez I was just wondering." Pinkie Pie said.
"You have to promise me you will never say anything about this!" Rarity said.
"Rarity I pinkie promise not to tell anybody what you did! Just dont do it again! Or else we will have to start piling them up under our houses like a crazy guy who dresses up like a clown by day and kills men at night and hides them in a crawl space!" Pinkie Pie said. Rarity shook her head and once the body was burnt to ash they doused the fire and cleanup all traces of the body and then they traveled back to Ponyville as they were relieved that the evidence was gone.
This secret stayed with them for the rest of their lives.
