Night's eclipse

Once every solar eclipse, the sun and moon drop a single droplet of there essence and bless two ponies with there powers. However, this night was different.

"Alright everypony, get ready for the eclipse." Says Celestia, walking through the crowd. Luna, not far from her.

"This is going to be a spectacular night." Says Twilight, as she stands with her friends.

"I'm so so so soooooo excited!!" Shrieks Pinkie Pie, bouncing up and down.

"Easy there big fella, last time you got this wound-up you got stuck up in a tree." Applejack says to Pinkie Pie. Pinkie stops bouncing and zips to Applejack.

"And that was soooo fun!" Pinkie yells.

"Ya, for you maybe. But it was a hassle for me and Big Mac." Replies Applejack, shaking her head.

"Come now you two, you mustn't fight." Says Rarity, wearing a sparkly dress.

The dress is white with purple stripes on the collar and sleeves. The dress covered her entire back legs and the sleeve went all the way down to her hooves. She also is wearing a tiara with a purple gem in the middle.

"Well look is gettin' all fine and dandy this evening." Says Applejack, looking over at Rarity.

"Well I must look presentable in front of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." Rarity replies to Applejack, flicking her mane.

"This is going to be great!" Says Rainbowdash, hovering over everyone.

Twilight chuckles.

"Yes, this will be. It's one thing to see a solar eclipse, but on at night, this is going to be magnificent." Say Twilight, looking up at the sky, seeing the moon rising to its apex.

"I couldn't find any books in the library about this event, so this will be the perfect time for field research." Continues Twilight, using her horn to pull a book out of her satchel, and in front of her. She starts to jut things down in her journal.

"Sorry I'm late." Fluttershy says, walking to the group.

"Where in tarnation have you been?" Applejack asks Fluttershy.

"S-sorry, some of the animals wanted to see the eclipse happen." She says, looking at her back.

Fluttershy is carrying on her a bunny, 3 birds, and a cub bear. They all make a noise.

"Well look what Fluttershy brought to the party." Says Rainbowdash, looking down at the amimals.

"Sorry if it was an inconvenience for you all, they just REALLY wanted to see the eclipse up close like this." Fluttershy says.

"Its ok Fluttershy." Says Applejack, placing a hoove over her neck.

The crowd grows silent as Celestia approach the stand in front of them all.

"Thank you all for coming on this momentous occasion." She says, looking at the crowd.

"I can vouch for my sister that we are both glad for all of you that came." She continues.

Twilight is still writing in her journal on what is happening. Celestia looks at the crowd of ponies once more and says.

"Let the night's eclipse.....begin!"
