Chapters Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
One early Saturday morning, Connor looked outside his window to see, finally it had stopped raining. It had been three days, THREE WHOLE DAYS since Connor had been able to go outside and do what he loved doing most: play soccer.
He ran out the front door, soccer ball in hand, and went to the park. Once he arrived, however, something seemed a bit...different than usual.
First, he was the only one there. He looked at his watch and saw that it was 11:00. He had assumed that everyone would want to get outside and do something rather than sitting inside all day, waiting for the rain to stop.
Second, his arm, or more appropriately, his wrist and started to buzz. He looked down and saw his old Dino Gem was glowing. Strange, he hadn’t used that thing since high school. Dr. Oliver had told him that the power no longer worked, but he decided to keep it anyway.
Nevertheless, Connor decided to ignore it. He put his ball down about fifty feet from the soccer net. He backed up a little, and prepared to kick it. But when he ran toward the ball, he ran quite a bit farther than he meant. He was all the way on the other side of town!
Had his powers returned? Was he dreaming? He quickly pinched himself, and sure enough, he was not dreaming. Connor decided to run quickly back home. Once there, he shot an email at two of his old friends: Ethan and Kira. He told them in the email what had happened at the park and asked them to meet him and the Cyberspace cafe back in Reefside. He then gathered a few of his belongings and ran out the door, towards Reefside.
Meanwhile
Ethan was more excited than ever. He had finally gotten his hands on a copy of ‘Demolition Man 2’. He had been waiting for this game for years!
He got home and practically flew through his house. However, in his excitement, he accidentally knocked over a bookcase. It started to fall on top of him, until he held his arms up and heard a loud crash to the left of him.
He didn’t feel a thing on his arms, but the bookcase was still on the ground. When he looked at his arms, he realized, his Dino Gem was glowing and his arms had that protection on them. He was confused beyond confused. Dr. Oliver said that the powers from the Dino Gem were no more, but here they were.
Not twenty seconds later, Ethan got an email from his old friend: Connor. The email said that Connor’s powers had returned as well and told him to meet at the old Cyberspace cafe in Reefside.
Without hesitation, Ethan packed a bag and headed towards Reefside.
Meanwhile
Kira was at the top of her game. She had accomplished her dream of becoming a famous singer, she had complete freedom to do what she wanted with her career, and she was one of the few people in the world to truthfully say that she saved the world.
One night, at a not-so-important gig she booked because she had time, she was getting very into her music. More into it than usual. She felt like she was going to bring the house down. She closed her eyes and did her signature microphone pose. Only one problem. When she opened her eyes, the house was literally in shambles.
Wide-eyed and confused, Kira said a quick “Goodnight” and ran out of there as fast as she could. On the way to her van, she was approached by a man looking to rob her.
“Leave me alone,” she said.
“Not until you give me what I came here for,” he retorted.
“I said, LEAVE ME ALONE.” When she yelled she saw a surge of energy come from her mouth, sending the guy flying.
Then, with a terrified look on his face, he said, “Okay okay, just don’t yell again!” He ran away quicker than Kira could say anything else to him.
She was both worried and confused. Why had her power returned? Dr. O said the powers from the Dino Gem had gone. But she had clearly just used them.
Once she got to her van, she opened her computer to send an email, only to see that she had already got one. It was from Connor saying that his powers had returned and that they needed to meet at the old Cyberspace cafe in Reefside.
Kira was hesitant leaving her career at the moment, but then realized that if they could not get this under control, she might not ever be able to sing safely again.
She made a few calls to cancel a few gigs she had booked for the heck of it, packed a small bag, and began the drive to Reefside.
Once at Reefside
Connor was the first on to arrive at the cafe. While he was waiting for his friends, the owner, Hailey, had recognized him. “Hey Connor, long time-no-see.”
“Hey Hailey, how’s it been?”
“Fine, a little uneventful after you guys left, but fine. What are you doing here anyway?”
“Well, you see, my Dino powers have returned for some reason, so I called the others here to meet about it. By the way, what was the last you heard from Trent or Dr. O?” he asked.
“I haven’t heard from them in a while, but last I heard, Tommy was in some city called Canterlot doing some investigating and Trent’s gone into business with his father,” she explained.
Connor wondered why Dr. O was in some place called ‘Canterlot’, but quickly replaced it with another thought once he saw Ethan coming toward them.
“Hey guys, I got your email, Connor and came right over. For some reason my powers have returned too. I wonder if Kira’s have,” said Ethan.
Just then, Kira walked up to them as well. “Well wonder no more. They have, at the worst possible time too.”
“Well now that we’re all here, we should probably get to the old base and figure this thing out,” said Connor.
“Good idea, let’s get going,” agreed Ethan.
Once they stepped outside, however, they were instantly surrounded by Tyranadrones. “Here’s a familiar face I never thought I’d see again,” said Kira as the three of them got into fighting poses.
Connor stepped forward and kicked one of the Tyranadrones in the chest, sending it flying backwards. Then, he ducked under another one’s kick and swept him. He then threw a punch at one more, putting it down. Once he got cornered, he simply used his super speed to get to the other side of the goons to take them out.
Ethan threw a couple of punches and dodged the occasional attack. When one of the Tyranadrones pulled some sort of knife, Ethan simply used is power to block it. He then used that same power to take down three more goons.
Kira let a few if the Tyranadrones attack her, only to put them down with a series of punches and kicks. Soon enough though, she was thrown down to the ground. But the goons had made the fatal mistake of grouping together. Kira took a deep breath and unleashed a mighty roar, taking down the entire group at once.
Once the Tyranadrones were defeated, the three regrouped. “Okay, so first our powers return, and then so do these guys? This can’t be a coincidence,” said Ethan. Connor and Kira agreed.
“We have to get to our base and figure this out,” said Connor.
However, just then an extremely bright light appeared in front of them. The three winced at what seemed to be a laggiing invisiportal. Once the bright light had receded, they looked up and saw the town of Reefside. Only, it wasn’t Reefside. It seemed to be an old village that had just suffered a vicious attack.
“Um, where are we exactly?” asked Ethan.
“Like any of us know,” replied Connor.
“Well I think it’s pretty obvious that it isn’t Reefside,” said Kira.
Then, as if things couldn’t get any weirder, what looked like a horse with wings, having a grey coat of fur and a blonde main came flying by. This was definitely the weirdest thing they’ve ever seen, weirder than anything from there careers as Power Rangers.
“I know no one knows the answer to this one, but what was that?” asked Connor.

Hey guys,
This is the start of my very first story. I know not all of you are power rangers fans, but I am. I could really use some constructive criticism, but by that I don’t mean ‘ugh power rangers.’
Also, chapter wise, I’ll update as much as I can. In fact, I’ll try to have chapter two up by tomorrow.
I plan to have chapter two take place in Equestria, but before the Rangers arrive.

Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
It was a normal day in Equestria. No timber wolves, no rogue changelings, and no rogue dragons in sight. Twilight Sparkle could finally take some time to relax from her princess duties. She went to see if any of her friends needed help with anything.
“Sorry Sugarcube, ah just finished all my chores on the farm,” said Applejack.
“I don’t have any sick animals to take care of right now. Sorry,” said Fluttershy.
“There isn’t a Wonderbolts show to train for anytime soon,” said Rainbow Dash.
“I’m afraid I don’t have any orders to fill at the moment, darling,” said Rarity.
“I don’t need help. Unless someone needs me to throw them a party,” said Pinkie Pie.
“None of my friends need any help, there’s no danger in sight, and I don’t have any princess duties to preform. What am I going to do?” Twilight asked Spike.
“Just go relax. Go to the spa or something. When was the last time you did that?” Spike asked.
“Hm, good idea Spike. See you later,” said Twilight as she left for the spa.
On the way there, Twilight took in a deep breath of fresh air. It had been a long time since Equestria, let alone Ponyville was this peaceful.
Unfortunately for her, she was then met with a bolt of lightning. “Who did that? Show yourself!” shouted Twilight.
What came next made her regret saying that. A two-legged creature, wearing what looked like a knight’s armor but with no face, holding a long sword stepped in front of her. “Hello, Princess,” it said, but without moving any sort of mouth.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Twilight asked.
“Who I am is none of your business, and what I want, I shall soon get,” it retorted. It then drew its sword and sent another bolt of lightning at her. Twilight tried to block it with a shield, but the bolt just broke through. “You’re no match for me,” it bellowed.
“Oh yeah, how about all seven of us?” shouted Rainbow Dash from the distance, joined by Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Starlight Glimmer. They rushed to help Twilight recover, and prepared for battle.
“Now it’s really a fight,” said the creature, before sending another blast of lightning at them. The main six, along with Starlight Glimmer and a couple of unlucky passer-byes went flying.
“Fighting Power Rangers is my bread and butter. You may as well give up now,” it bellowed.
“Okay first, we don’t know what Power Rangers are, but second, we’re never gonna give up,” shouted Starlight.
“Then you will be destroyed,” it shouted before firing another lightning bolt. But this time, Starlight fired and magical shot and perfectly countered it. Before the being could react, Starlight teleported right in front of it and bucked it as hard as she could. This sent an enormous amount of pain through the creature as it held its gut. But it quickly recovered and slashed at Starlight. She quickly teleported away, back to the main six.
“I think you’re gonna need the elements. You go get them and I’ll hold this thing off,” Starlight told Twilight.
“No way, we’re not gonna leave you here,” replied Twilight.
“Just go, I’ll be fine,” Starlight told her.
“Alright, but be careful, we don’t know for sure what we’re up against,” said Twilight.
“I will, now go. And hurry!” said Starlight.
With that, the main six teleported away, leaving Starlight and creature. “It’s just you and me now,” shouted Starlight.
“You’re gonna regret that,” shouted the creature.
Starlight resumed the fight by firing a powerful beam at the monster. The monster retaliated with a beam of its own. Starlight then tried to teleport to it, but the monster was too quick and managed to trip her up and send her flying into a wall. Starlight teleported behind it and tried to fire another shot, but the monster teleported as well and got the upper hand once again. It then charged his thunder while Starlight charged another blast. But the monster turned towards the town instead. “Nooooooooo,” shouted Starlight. But it was too late, the monster fired at Ponyville, causing most of the houses to go up in flames and ponies to run as fast as they can in fear.
Starlight could only watch as Ponyville was being destroyed. She could only hope that the others were on their way with the elements.
Meanwhile
Twilight and the others had reached the Tree of Harmony, only to find it was being surrounded by creatures with green and black armor.
“What in the hay are those?” asked Applejack.
“I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure they’re not good,” said Rainbow Dash.
“Let’s just get the elements, Starlight needs us,” said Twilight.
With that, Rainbow Dash flew into the creatures, sending one of the flying. She tried to get another one down, but one of the creatures grabbed hold of her and sent her to the side of a mountain. Twilight tried to blast one of the monsters, but the blast just reflected off of it and back at her. While all of this was going on, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity were sneaking around to the Tree of Harmony. Once they reached it they obtained their elements, as well as their friends’ elements.
They regrouped and charged their elements and unleashed a powerful blast among the creatures, destroying all of them.
“We need to get back to Ponyville,” said Twilight.
“Right,” responded her friends.
Once they arrived back in Ponyville, they found that the monster from before was destroying the town they loved. They also saw Starlight getting blasted as well.
“C’mon, we have to help her,” shouted Twilight. Once they got to Starlight, they helped her up.
“It was too strong, I’m sorry,” she said.
“It’s okay Starlight, you did your best,” said Twilight. Then, the mane six stepped in front of the monster, elements drawn.
“How adorable, ponies wanna play?” it shouted.
“You’re so done for,” shouted Rainbow Dash.
“That’s right. Y’all think you can just walk on in here and destroy our here home, you got another thing coming,” yelled Applejack.
“It doesn’t seem you’re all on board with that,” the monster shouted, referring to Fluttershy who was cowering behind Pinkie.
“Hey, no one make fun of her and gets away with it!” Pinkie shouted.
“Oh, i-it’s quite alright, I-I’m used to it,” Fluttershy said.
“Enough talk, time to finish this. Ready girls?” asked Twilight.
“Ready,” shouted all of them, except for Fluttershy. “O-oh, ready,” she said.
“Gimme your best shot,” the monster taunted.
With that, the mane six charged their elements and fired at the monster. Once the blast finished, the monster was no where to be found.
“We did it!” Pinkie exclaimed.
“Yes, but he did quite a number on Ponyville,” said Rarity, motioning towards their home.
“Rarity’s right, we’d better get to work making repairs,” Twilight said.
As the others agreed, the monster re-appeared in front of them.
“It’s gonna take more than that to bring me down,” it bellowed.
“Impossible,” said Twilight, “no creature has gone unaffected from that.”
“I’m not like anything you’ve ever seen before,” the monster said. Then, the monster charged another blast from its sword and fired it at the mane six.
Before it could do anymore damage, though, Princess Celestia appeared in between it and the mane six. “You shall leave now, or face my wrath,” she said.
“I don’t think so,” the monster said before firing a new attack upon the princess. Princess Celestia simply raised a shield and blasted the monster with her own beam of power. The monster was sent flying backwards into a house, bringing it down almost immediately.
“On second thought, I think I’ve had enough fun for now,” said the monster before teleporting away.
“Princess, what was that thing? And why was it attacking Ponyville?” Twilight asked her mentor.
“I have a feeling that it came from earth. What it’s doing here is beyond me though. We’d better repair Ponyville before it comes back though,” Princess Celestia replied.
The others agreed and made their way back to Ponyville. Before they did though, another bright flash of light shown and when it left, in its place were three more two-legged creatures, unlike the one they had just faced.
“Um, aren’t those ‘humans’ from Earth, like you said Twilight?” asked Rarity.
“Yeah, but I’ve never seen them before,” Twilight replied.

“I’m pretty sure that was called a Pegasus. You know, a horse with wings,” said Ethan.
“Well, whatever it was, it was weird,” replied Connor.
“Guys, would you cool it already? We gotta figure out where we are and what happened here,” said Kira, annoyed with the others’ arguing.
“Hey, who are you?” said a new voice from behind. The three of them turned around to see another pegasus, but this one was blue and had a rainbow mane?
“Um, we can ask you the same,” said Connor.
“I asked you first, and you’re not exactly from around here, so you answer first.”
“Rainbow, calm down,” said a new pegasus, except had a horn.
“Sorry about her, she’s just a little jumpy after what happened,” said another one with a horn, but she was white.
“Okay, mister know-it-all, what are those?” asked Connor.
“That’s a unicorn and an alicorn duh,” Ethan replied.
“Um, excuse us y’all, but you didn’t tell us who you were,” said an orange horse walking up to the other three, along with a yellow pegasus with a pink mane and an all pink horse.
“Oh right, I’m Kira, this is Ethan and Connor. Now we have a few questions for you,” said Kira.
“Of course, but first let’s get somewhere a bit safer,” said the lavender alicorn.
Later
“So, let’s start with, where are we?” asked Connor.
“You’re currently in a land called Equestria, and to answer who are we, my name is Princess Celestia,” said the princess.
“I’m Twilight Sparkle.”
“I’m Applejack.”
“Name’s Rainbow Dash.”
“I’m Rarity.”
“I-I’m Fluttershy.”
“Hii’mpinkiepielet’sbebestfriendscanwebebestfriends?”
“Um, nice to meet you guys,” said Ethan
“Wait a second, who was that other unicorn who was taken to the hospital?” Connor asked.
“That was Starlight Glimmer. Unfortunately, she was just severely injured in a fight,” Twilight explained.
“Woah, what happened?” Kira asked, concerned.
“A two-legged creature, much like yourselves, but not quite human, attacked and she tried to defend Ponyville on her own while we went to get the Elements of Harmony,” Twilight said.
“The elements of what?”
“Harmony, I represent the element of magic, Applejack represents honesty, Pinkie represents laughter, Rarity represents generosity, Rainbow Dash represents loyalty, and Fluttershy represents kindness.”
“Oh, although, aren’t kindness and generosity the same?” asked Ethan.
“Dude, don’t be rude,” Connor nudged Ethan. “So, what do you mean by ‘not human’?”
“Well, like Twilight said, it walked on two legs, but it had some sort of armor and some kind of sword that could shoot lightning,” Rarity said.
The three teenagers looked at each other and exchanged nods. They had most likely dealt with this guy before, but they had to make sure. “Did he by any chance have what looked like a blue eye on the right side of his head?” Connor said.
“Um, yeah, but how did you know?” Twilight asked, suspicious of the three humans.
“Zeldrax,” they all said.
“Who?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Another thing you should know about us is that we’re a little more than human ourselves. We’re what’s known a Power Rangers back on Earth. We’re basically superheroes” said Connor.
Twilight was more confused than ever. If they were superheroes, then why did they not show up when she was on Earth? Their help definitely could’ve been used. And why did she not even hear of them while she was there if they protected the Earth?
“Well, we have made connections to Earth, but I’ve never heard of ‘Power Rangers’” she said.
“Well, we have been in retirement for about two years now. You see, we were fighting against this evil villain named Mesagog who wanted to restore the Earth back to the stone-age. We managed to defeat him before he could though and we’ve never been in action since. Zeldrax was a minion of Mesagog, until he realized he wasn’t appreciated. He waged his own war with us. We defeated him, along with Mesagog, and we haven’t used our powers since,” Ethan explained.
“We thought the powers from our Dino Gems had faded forever. But recently, they returned. We got together to try and figure out why and we were attacked by a couple of Mesagog’s old minions. We defeated them, but next thing we knew, we were here,” Kira added.
“Excuse mah intruded, but what exactly are ‘Dino Gems?” asked Applejack.
“It’s fine. Our Dino Gems are our source of power, kind of like your ‘Elements of Harmony’. When we first found them, we were bonded to them and they gave us certain powers that other humans don’t have. For example, I have super-speed.” Connor demonstrated his power by running around the entire castle in less than five seconds.
“Awesome!” Rainbow Dash shouted.
“If you thing that’s impressive watch this.” Ethan stepped up to an old tree, gave it a back-hand swing, and and the the tree broke in two.
“Woah, Ah’ve been bucking trees since Ah was a filly, but Ah’ve never done that,” exclaimed Applejack.
“My turn.” Kira turned toward another tree and let out a mighty roar. The tree blew over, roots and all.
“I must say, these ‘Dino Gems’ are most impressive,” said Princess Celestia.
“Wait a second, now that I think of it, Sunset Shimmer and her friends found some gemstones that give them magical powers like yours,” Twilight said. “Who’s Sunset Shimmer?” inquired Ethan.
“Sunset Shimmer is one of my friends from Earth, although technically she’s from here and I don’t believe she and her friends a ‘Power Rangers’” Twilight explained.
“Well not everyone has what it takes to be a ranger. It requires a lot of training and hard work,” Connor said. “Anyhow, not that meeting you hasn’t been nice, but is there any way we can get back to Earth?”
“Oh right. There is a portal that leads back to Earth in the thrown room. But the only problem is that only ponies from Equestria have passed through it. I don’t know what will happen if you try,” Twilight said.
“We’ve taken risks before, and we’re not afraid to take one now. Where did you say the portal was?” Connor said.
“Alright, it’s this way,” Twilight said.
Meanwhile
This was not good. The rangers needed to stay if the plan were to work.
While their presence might ending up backfiring, the plan was garunteed to fail if they left.
Teleporting to the throne room, Zeldrax took aim at the said ‘portal’.
Just before he could fire, the door opened behind him. “Zeldrax!” Connor shouted.
“Hello, red ranger, so I see we meet again,” Zeldrax replied.
“Whatever you’re planning won’t work,” Kira said as the rangers got into a fighting pose.
“You’re too late to stop me, and this time Tommy Oliver won’t be here to help.” With that, Zeldrax blasted the portal with the strongest laser he could fire. The portal fell apart and nearly caught fire. “Good luck getting back now.” Zeldrax then jumped into an invisiportal and left.
Twilight quickly put out the fire and checked the frequency to the portal, but it was completely shut down. “It’s destroyed,” she said with a sigh.
“It’s okay, right now we have to focus on stopping Zeldrax,” said Kira trying to comfort.
“The magic of Frienship wasn’t even enough to stop him. What makes you think you can do it?” Twilight asked.
“We’ve stopped him before, and we’ll stop him again,” said Connor determined to get back at Zeldrax for what he had done.
“Yeah, we’re Power Rangers, we never give up.”
‘They’re right, we can do this,” Kira said as she joined her friends.
“Alright, but something tells me you’re gonna need help out there,” said Rarity.
“Trust us, when Zeldrax shows up again, we’ll defeat him no problem,” said Connor.
“But for now, I think we’re gonna need to rest up before he does,” said Kira.
“Oh, you guys can stay with us if you want to. It’s no problem,” said Rainbow Dash.
“Yeah, and I still need to throw you guys a party,” said Pinkie.
“Alright, we’ll stay here for now,” said Connor. And with that everyone and everypony went off to bed.

Back into action (part two)
In the streets of Ponyville, the Rangers faced off against Scalore, with many worried ponies watching from a distance.
“Your move Rangers,” Scalore taunted.
The Rangers began to reach toward their blaster slowly. All at once, they drew and fired at the monster, only for it to return fire. Both sides charged towards each other, shouting cries of war.
On a nearby rooftop, Zeltrax appeared to watch the fight unfold. “Let’s see if these Rangers are still As strong as I remember ,” he said to himself.
The Rangers and Scalore met in the middle, attacking each other and blocking the other side’s attacks. Eventually, Ethan managed to land a sweep on the monster, bringing it to the ground. The monster tried to roll away and recover, but Connor got a leg under him and sent him towards the sky. The Rangers brought their blasters back out and blasted the monster.
Luckily for the monster, it landed a bit farther from the Rangers than he was before, giving time to draw his claws. The Rangers took this time to reveal their own individual weapons: a Tyrannastaff for Connor, a Tricerashield for Ethan, and a pair of Terra daggers for Kira. Scalper tried once again to blast the Rangers from a distance, but they simply hid behind Ethan’s shield. Then, Kira jumped above and tossed her daggers at Scalore, causing a fit of sparks to erupt from him. Then, Connor charged towards the monster, staff in hand. He used it to vault at the monster and land a kick, pushing the monster back. He then swung his staff in a circular motion, the t-rex head causing more sparks to erupt from Scalore. Scalper tried to attack, but Connor just blocked them with his staff. From above, Ethan and Kira attacked with their weapons and pushed the monster further back.
“What do you say we finish this creep off,” said Connor.
“Right, let’s do it,” Ethan agreed.
“Let’s put ‘em together,” said Kira as she put on of her daggers at the tip of Connor’s staff. Connor folded his staff over Ethan’s shield, and together they held a whole ne weapon.
“Z-Rex blaster!” The three shouted in unison.
“Wait, can’t we just talk this over?” Scalore begged.
“Fire!” The Rangers fired upon the monster, causing more and more sparks to erupt from his green, scaly body. And with that, he fell to the ground, and exploded into a bunch of pieces.
The ponies all came out from their hiding spots and began to crowd the Rangers, either thanking them for defeating the monster or congratulating them on their victory.
“I think we made the locals happy,” said Ethan.
“Yeah, I don’t think we’re gonna have to worry about feeling weird here anymore,” Connor agreed.
All of the ponies quickly made way as Twilight and her friends began to approach. “We would like to thank you on behalf of all of Ponyville,” she said.
“No thanks needed Twi, we’re just doing our job,” said Connor as the Rangers powered down back to humans, emitting a couple of gasps from the crowd.
“The way you took that thing down was so awesome,” said Rainbow Dash.
“Ah’d be lying if Ah said Ah wasn’t impressed as well. Although, then again, I can’t tell a lie in the first place,” said Applejack.
“And I must say, those outfits looked simply marvelous. I must know who designed them,” said Rarity.
“No one really designed them, they just kinda came with the morphers,” replied Kira.
“I gotta ask, how often did you guys deal with those kinds of monsters back on Earth?” Starlight asked.
“Almost on a weekly basis. We barely got any time off for school,” said Ethan.
“Wait, you were still in school when you became ‘power Rangers’?” Twilight asked.
“Yeah, we were just high school juniors,” Kira replied, emitting more gasps from the crowd.
On the same rooftop as before, Zeltrax was shaking his head in disappointment. “Alright then, try this one on for size.” With that, he pulled out device and pointed it toward the remains of Scalore. He fired a laser at it and the pieces began to glow and reform. “What do you know, Broodwing actually sold me something that works,” Zeltrax said before taking his leave in a nearby invisiportal.
As he did, the ground in Ponyville began to shake. “What’s happening?” Twilight shouted over the the screams of the crowd. “The fight’s only half over,” Connor answered.
With that, the monster reappeared, only now it was as tall as Twilight’s castle. “It’s a whole new world to destroy. Where should I start?” Scalper said while looming over the Rangers and the citizens of Ponyville.
“Now what?” Starlight asked.
“Let’s hope we can still do this,” Kira said, looking at her friends. They morphed once again into Power Rangers and began to focus.
The ground began to shake once again. A mighty roar could be heard in the distance.
“It worked, they’re coming!” Ethan said.
“Who’s coming?” Rarity asked, a little scared.
“Our Dino Zords. They’re gonna help us even the odds on this creep,” replied Kira.
Now coming into clear view was a red Tyrannosaurus Rex, a blue Triceratops, and a yellow Pterodactyl. “Twilight, what are those things?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“I-I don’t know,” Twilight replied.
Once Scalore saw what was coming, he tried to attack the zords, only to be run down by the Triceratops. He recovered and began to tussle with the Tyrannosaurus, who just turned its body to attack with its drill tail. Then, the Pterodactyl swooped in and grabbed Scalore by the shoulders and lifted him into the air. Once it reached a certain point in height, it dropped the monster to the ground.
“Let’s send this guy packing once and for all,” Connor said as he and his friends jumped into their corresponding colored zords.
“Let’s show everyone what these things can really do,” Connor said as the zords began their transformation sequence.
The body of the Tyrannosaurus began to turn and the drill stopped once it was on the right side and stayed there. Then, the Triceratops attached itself to the left side of the Tyrannosaurus. Finally, the Pterodactyl detached it’s head from the rest of its body, which closed around the Tyrannosaurus’s head. A head appeared on top of the large contraption and the head of the Pterodactyl covered it like a helmet. The Dino Thunder Megazord was now complete. Everypony that saw it was frozen, either in terror or excitement. They had never seen anything like this, not even when Tirek attacked.
Meanwhile, Scalore was struggling just to get a solid hit without being hit himself. Whenever he got in close, he was either punched by the Triceratops or smacked by the drill. As for the Rangers, they were just fine. It had been too long since they had done this.
“This is just as awesome as I remember it being,” said Connor.
“Gonna have to agree with you on that one,” Kira replied.
Scalore had just about enough. He attempted to fire his laser, only to be hit by a boomerang that came from the Pterodactyl’s wings.
“Let’s end this guy off,” said Connor.
“Right,” his friends said.
The drill started to spin up and energy was beginning to build up inside it. “Tyranno-drill! Final strike!” the Rangers shouted in unison. The Megazord charged forward and aimed the drill at Scalore. They made contact and Scalore once again began to erupt into sparks. He exploded for the final time as the Megazord powered down and the Dino Zords went into hiding.
The Rangers returned to the ground and were once again crowded by ponies.
“That was AWESOME. They way you got the giant animal things and turned into one giant war-machine and use the drill to destroy him,” said Rainbow Dash, clearly feeling the adrenaline.
Twilight once again approached the Rangers as she did before. “On behalf of all of Equestria, I would like to formally award you with medals of honor,” she said.
“We appreciate the offer, but save it for when we beat Zeltrax. The Power Rangers are back, and he’s no doubt gonna be planning a way to stop us,” Connor replied.
“Well at least come to the castle for a feast in your honor,” said Twilight. The Rangers exchanged nods in agreement.
“Alright, sounds like fun,” said Kira.
Unbeknownst to all of them, Zeltrax was deep in the Everfree forest, planting the first of five beacons. Scalper may not have done any actual damage, but he still fufilled his purpose, as useless as he was. He had distracted the Rangers long enough for him to get this done. By the time Zeltrax was done with his plan, the Rangers would be destroyed, along with all of the ponies of Equestria.

Here it is, the first official monster fight of the story. Sorry if the details weren’t very good, this is my first story after all. Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
Best friends stick together
“So then, we found a video in our lab that Dr. O made in case something like that happened,” Ethan said to Twilight. He was telling her all about his journey as a Power Ranger and she was listening intently. Twilight wanted to know everything there was to know about the topic. “When we started the video, Dr. O began to explain about his own history as a Ranger,” he continued, “Like, we knew he had some experience in the field, but we had no real idea that he was also a Ranger. It turns out he wasn’t the first though, and there were like five others. I can’t remember their names off the top of my head though. Anyhow, Dr. O became a Ranger when he moved to this town called Angel Grove for a martial arts tournament, and even though he only got second, he caught the eye of this evil space witch called Rita Repulsa or something like that. She captured him and gave him the green power coin. He became the green ranger at first, but he was evil.”
Twilight was really excited to be learning the history of a group of super heroes from Earth. She had wanted to learn more about Earth’s history ever since her last visit there, and where better to start than here? “So your teacher was evil when he first became a ranger, and then he became good?” Twilight asked just to make sure she was following along. This ‘Dr. O’ kind of reminded her of her friend from Earth, Sunset Shimmer.
“Yeah, but his friends didn’t give up on him, and they destroyed some sort of sword that was keeping the spell on him. When the sword was destroyed, so was the spell,” Ethan said. This fascinated Twilight. She had never heard of this ‘Rita Repulsa’. She had been everywhere in every library, from her own to the castle of the two sister. She made a mental note to ask Princess Celestia about it later.
“So after we watched the legacy of the Power Rangers, we figured out where Dr. O was and rescued him. Of course, Zeltrax and Elsa weren’t gonna give up so easily so they gave chase. But then, Dr. O pulled out a black Dino Gem and activated his own morpher.”
Outside, Spike and Starlight Glimmer were listening half-heartedly. It wasn’t that the rangers didn’t fascinate them, just not as much as it did Twilight. “You wanna get the other rangers and get something to eat?” Spike asked Starlight. “Sure, I could eat. Besides, I keep getting lost with what Ethan’s talking about,” Starlight replied.
The two gathered their friends and the other humans and went over to Sugarcube Corner. “Let me guess, Ethan was rambling on about something and you got lost?” Connor asked. “Yeah, pretty much,” Starlight replied. “Haha, sounds like Ethan,” said Kira.
“Just outta curiosity, how often do y’all deal with these monster attacks?” Applejack asked. “Well, usually at least once a week. But that was back on Earth,” replied Connor. As they were talking, a group of Tyrannadrones ran through the streets of Ponyville, enticing a few screams from the citizens.
“We’d better go check that out,” said Connor. Everyone, humans and ponies included, ran outside to see the hoard of Tyrannadrones. “How much combat experience do you ponies have?” Kira asked. “Well, I can’t speak for everypony, but I have no problem taking these guys down,” said Rainbow Dash. “Same here. We’ll be fine helping y’all out. It’s the least we could do,” said Applejack.
Fluttershy, for her part, was hiding behind Rarity. Her encounters with these things were a]only getting worse. “I’ll look after Fluttershy here. She seems pretty scared,” said Rarity.
With that, the rangers and ponies charged into battle. Starlight Glimmer was having no trouble taking these enemies down. She could just blast one, teleport away, and blast another. Rainbow was not having much trouble either. Her flight definitely gave her an advantage, even if she didn’t really know how to fight. Pinkie Pie, on the other hand was having a bit of trouble. She tried attacking, but she just bounced right off of them. It wasn’t until she pulled out her party canon that she did any real damage. Applejack was doing what she could to fend off the beast, and her strength was really helping her out. Simply bucking an enemy could put it down.
As for Connor and Kira, they were in the zone. This was their bread and butter. Connor had no trouble taking down Tyrannadrone after Tyrannadrone. He used his super speed to take down several at once. Kira was also just letting the enemy take themselves out. Tyrannadrones may have been tough, but man they were clumsy. All she had to do was get out of the way of one attack and it would most likely hit another.
Once the Tyrannadrones were all taken down, a new monster, covered in chains stepped up. “Let’s see if you rangers can break the chain,” it shouted as it threw a long chain at the group. Everyone got out of the way as the monster retracted the chain.
“Ready?” Connor asked. “Ready,” Kira replied. “Dino Thunder! Power Up!” they both shouted. They were morphed once again and ready for action. They leapt into battle as the monster drew another chain and swung it at the rangers . It hit them, sending them to the ground. “Let’s try that again,” Connor said.
The rangers ran back towards the monster, weapons in hand, and tried once again to attack him. The monster tried to block, but the rangers hit him square in the chest. The monster went flying back as the ponies approached the rangers. “Are you guys alright?” Starlight asked. “We’re fine. We just took a little shot,” replied Kira. “Maybe we can beat this guy if we work together,” said Applejack. “Are you sure about that? He’s pretty tough, a lot tougher than that last monster,” Connor said. “Trust us, we can help,” Rainbow Dash replied. “Alright then, let’s do this,” Connor said.
With that, everyone, rangers and ponies included, charged towards the monster. The monster readied another chain, but Starlight simply blasted it away. Applejack and Rainbow Dash lunged at the monster, knocking it down. They got out of the way as Connor and Kira slashed the monster with their swords. Starlight began charging a spell to take the monster down once and for all. “Let’s buy her a little time,” Rainbow Dash said.
But the monster quickly got back on its feet and threw another chain at Connor. “Watch out!” Rainbow Dash yelled as she tried to push Connor out of the way, only for the chain to wrap around them both. “Kira, a little help here?” Connor said. “Alright,” Kira said. “Oh no you don’t,” said the monster as it whipped another chain around Kira. “‘Um Starlight? Ah don’t mean to rush you, but where’s the spell a’your’s?” Applejack asked. “Ready, get out of the way!” Starlight shouted as she fired her spell to causing the monster to explode.
“Alright, we did it! Now, how do we get these chains off?” Rainbow Dash asked. “Um, I’m not sure. Usually they’d just disappear when we beat the monster,” Connor replied. Meanwhile, Starlight and Applejack were trying to get rid of the pieces of the monster before it could reform and Kira was slipping out of her chain. “Here, I’ll cut you out,” she said as she took her dagger to the chain. She tried to cut through it, but she couldn’t even dent it. “Here, let me try something,” Starlight said. She fired a small magical shot at the chain, but that didn’t work either.
“My wings are getting really cramped here. Could you hurry it up a little?” Rainbow Dash whined. “Calm down, we’re doing the best we can,” Applejack replied. “Maybe Twilight can do something about this,” Kira suggested. “I guess it’s worth a shot. Let’s go,” Starlight replied. “The sooner we get out of these chains, the better,” Connor said, “no offense Rainbow.” “None taken,” Rainbow replied.
Before they got going, Applejack found Fluttershy to her everything was okay, and found Rarity and Pinkie Pie hiding with her. The monster’s gone y’all. It’s safe to come out.”
Once they all got to the castle, they showed Twilight and Ethan what had happened. “Um, we’re not gonna break these, not today anyhow,” he said to Connor and Rainbow. “What? Why?” they asked. “This is wrought iron, it’s extremely tough. Luckily, it wears down after about a day, so we can break it then,” Ethan explained.
“This is gonna be a long day. No offense,” Rainbow said. “None taken,” replied Connor.
Meanwhile
In a far corner of Equestrian, Zeltrax was searching for the spot. He was a bit farther from Ponyville so he had a lot of time. Once he found the spot, he placed the beacon. Number two down. One step closer to pull off what he never could back on Earth. Soon, he would be unstoppable.

Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
It had been a long day for Connor. No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t get comfortable with Rainbow Dash chained to him. He had to turn to open doors, he had to move his head down and eat with just his head, and he couldn’t even sit down.
Things were even worse for Rainbow Dash. She literally couldn’t do anything. She had to go wherever Conor went, she had no choice. She could barely even move. Luckily, the chains didn’t suffocate her too much so she had no trouble whatsoever breathing.
“Ugh, Connor, can we move any faster?” Rainbow Dash complained. “I don’t like it any more than you do, but like Ethan said, if I move too fast, we could both get really hurt,” Conor replied. “Ugh, fine,” said Rainbow.
Once they finally arrived at the castle, Kira had her daggers drawn. “I’m pretty sure the wrought iron’s weakened enough to cut. Ready to give it a try?” Ethan asked. “Boy are we,” Connor replied. “Yeah, let’s hurry this up already,” Rainbow agreed.
With that, Kira gave the chain a small slash and the chain began to give way. Kira grabbed onto the chain and cut it directly and it fell off of Connor and Rainbow.
“Finally! No offense Connor, but flying is just so much better than walking,” Rainbow said. None taken, I’m with you on that one,” Conor replied. Just then, Twilight walked into the room. “Glad to see we got the little ‘problem’ fixed. Now, why don’t you get back to telling me about the rangers Ethan,” she said. “Of course, Twilight. See you guys later,” Ethan said as he walked out of the room with Twilight. “There’s a match made in heaven,” Connor said. “Yeah, egghead on egghead,” Rainbow agreed. “Knock it off, you two,” Kira said as she exited the castle.
“Well, I’m gonna go practice soccer. See you later, Rainbow,” Connor said as he also began to exit the castle. “Wait, what’s soccer?” Rainbow asked. “Oh, it’s a sport back on Earth. I figured since I was able to bring my soccer ball with me here, I might as well use it,” Connor replied. “Oh, cool. Mind if I watch? It sounds fun,” Rainbow said. “Sure, come on,” Connor said.
Once they got to the place to practice and set up the goals, Connor explained the rules. “It sounds pretty similar to buck-ball,” said Rainbow. Connor thought about asking what that was, but decided that was better for another day. “Alright, let’s play.”
They commenced playing and Connor at first was obviously the better of the two. But Rainbow had begun to pick up and managed to catch up to him. After about half an hour, the two of them got hungry and ended their game. “That was fun. I’ve never played a game like that before,” said Rainbow. “Gotta admit, you’re pretty good. Back on Earth, no one was able to keep up with me like that,” Connor replied.
“So, what kind of games do you have here, other than buck-ball?” Connor asked. “Well, they’re mostly flying sports and running sports,” Rainbow replied. “I’ll race you to Sugercube Corner,” challenged Connor. “Oh, you’re so on!” Rainbow replied. With that, the two took off as fast as they could toward Sugarcube Corner, equally matched due to Rainbow’s sheer speed and Connor’s super speed.
Meanwhile
“So after we defeated Zeltrax, we thought we were done. But then, Mesagog came out of nowhere and challenged us to one last fight. Then, the impossible happened: Mesagog got even uglier. He stretched his neck out, forced his mouth open, grew his claws, and slightly increased his size. After defeating Zeltrax, we thought we could do this, no problem. But once we began our fight, he was mopping the floor with us. We couldn’t even get close without getting hit. We thought we were done for. But then, he multiplied into four of himself. One was bad enough, now we had to deal with four? But just then, our Dino Gems began to really glow. We summoned all of the strength we had left and a T-REX appeared! It chomped up Mesagog with one swipe of the mouth. It was awesome. Unfortunately, it drained all of the Dino Gems’ power. And that’s it, that’s everything we’ve ever done as Power Rangers,” Ethan said, finishing up his story.
“Wow,” said Twilight, “that was AMAZING! The technology, the fighting, and this ‘Dr. O’ you kept talking about sounded like the best guy ever. I wish I could’ve met him when I was on Earth.” “Now that I think of it, I haven’t heard from him or Trent in years. I wonder if their dino powers have returned too?” “Well, maybe they’ll get sucked here like you did,” Twilight said. “Maybe. In the meantime, I’m a little hungry. Wanna go get something to eat?” Ethan asked. “Sure, sounds good,” Twilight replied.
On the way to Sugarcube Corner, Ethan and Twilight ran into Connor and Rainbow Dash. “Hey guys, what’s up?” Ethan asked. “We’re on our way to Sugarcube Corner. Wanna join us?” Rainbow asked. “Sure. We were on our way there anyhow,” Twilight replied.
Once they arrived, Pinkie Pie came bounding out to the front counter like a roadrunner. “Hey guys! I just finished planning the party for you guys. It’ll be tomorrow at noon!” “Thanks, Pinkie,” Connor said.
While they were eating, Kira was at Raruty’s boutique, trying to help Rarity with the clothes she was making for the others. “I’m so sorry, darling, but I’ve just never made clothes like this before. I’m afraid it’s gonna take a bit more time than promised. I do hope you understand,” Rarity said to Kira. “That’s okay, Rarity, take all the time you need,” Kira said.
Outside, a monster with thunder bolts on the sides of his head and a blue racing suit stepped up to the boutique. “Looks like big, bad yellow is distracted. This oughta get her attention,” it said as it screamed at the boutique, causing it to slightly shake and the girls inside to cover their ears. “What was that?” Rarity asked. “I don’t know, it I’d better go check it out,” Kira replied.
“Well, what took you so long? I’ve been waiting for ages,” the monster said as Kira stepped outside. “It’s time for you to go back into the hole you crawled out of,” said Kira. “We’ll just see about that,” said the monster as it roared at her once again. Kira took a breath and roared back. The blasts were equally matched.
“Guys, get here as fast as you can. I’m at Rarity’s boutique. This guy’s gonna be tough to beat,” Kira said into her communicator. “We’ll be there as fast as we can,” replied Connor as he and Ethan ran out of Sugarcube Corner only to see a swarm of Tyrannadrones. “We’re gonna have to get rid of these guys first before we can help Kira,” Ethan said as they began their battle.
Back at the boutique, Kira was facing off against Thunderscreach (the monster). “Let’s do this! Dino Thunder! Power up!” Kira shouted as she morphed once again.
The two engaged in battle and seemed equally matched for a minute. But then, the monster drew a pair of thunder-shaped daggers and used them to slash repeatedly at Kira. Kira tried to draw her own daggers, but they were blasted away by the monster. The monster then ran as fast as it could at Kira, landing a number of shots as he ran by. Kira couldn’t even get up without being knocked down again. “Guys, where are you? I need your help!” Kira shouted as the monster blasted a bolt of lightning towards her.
“We’re here, Kira. Sorry we took so long, we had to deal with some Tyrannadrones,” Connor apologized. “Dino Thunder! power up!” Ethan and Connor shouted as they became morphed as well. The rangers and the monster continued to fight as Twilight and Rainbow Dash were tending to Rarity. “Are you alright?” Twilight asked. “I’m okay, darling, but I can’t say the same for Kira. She took quite the beating,” Rarity explained. “I just wish there was some ways we could help,” Rainbow said. “I don’t think that’s a good idea. We could risk getting in their way,” Twilight reasoned.
As for the rangers, they were getting their butts kicked. They just couldn’t keep up with the monster. “I know,” said Rarity, “is there a way for you to slow the monster down?” “I’ll try, but I need a clear shot, or I might hit the rangers,” replied Twilight. “Rangers, get out of the way! Twilight’s gonna try something!” Rainbow shouted. “It’s worth a shot,” Ethan said. With that, the rangers stepped away from the monster. “What’s wrong? Scared?” Thunderscreach taunted. Then Twilight blasted the monster and its feet began to glow.
“Alright, let’s keep going,” Connor said as the rangers drew their weapons. The rangers began to slash away at the monster. The monster tried to run, but it couldn’t move. “Hey, what’s the deal?” it shouted. “Looks like you’re all out of amps,” Kira yelled. “Let’s end this,” Connor shouted as the rangers began to combine their weapons.
“Z-Rex blaster!” the three shouted in unison. With that, they opened fire on the monster and the monster exploded. “Thanks for the help, Twilight. I’m not sure how much longer we would’ve lasted,” Ethan said. “Don’t thank me, it was Rarity’s idea,” Twilight responded.
Just then, a laser blasted the monster’s remains, and the monster began to grow in size. “You’d better run, now!” it shouted. “Let’s finish this jock off. Dino Zords!” The Dino Zords appeared as the rangers jumped into them. The zords began to combine, as the monster prepared for battle. Once the Megazord was finished, the monster ran toward it, careful to avoid the drill. The monster ran by repeatedly as the Megazord took a beating.
“He’s just too fast! We need help!” Ethan shouted. “Let’s hope the accessory zords are here,” Connor said. His morphed began to glow purple as the ground below began to shake. “What’s happening? The sores are already here!” Rainbow shouted. “Look, over there!” Twilight shouted back as she was motioning toward a purple Dino Zord that was bouncing toward the fight. “It’s the Pefalazord!” Connor shouted as the purple Pefalazord lunged toward the monster and threw a couple of punches at it. “Quick, before it recovers! Pefalazord combine!” With that, the Pefalazord folded its arms in and attached itself to the side of the Megazord. Its head cocked all the way back, and once the monster got up, the Pefalazord fired its head at the monster three times, putting it down for the count.
“Seems like a knockout to me,” said Kira as she and the others jumped out of the Megazord
Meanwhile
Once he reached the dragon lands, Zeltrax drew his third beacon and placed it in a crevice. “Three down, two to go,” he said.
“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?” asked a dragon walking up to him. “You’d better get out of here,” the dragon taunted. “Don’t go getting into trouble when you don’t know what you’re up against,” Zeltrax replied as he shot a laser at the dragon, severing one of its scales. The dragon ran away as Zeltrix approached the scale.
“I think it’s time I brought a little bit of terror into these lands,” he said as he teleported away.

Reign of terror (part one)
Through the streets of Ponyville zipped two blurs. Anypony would be able to recognize one as Rainbow Dash from the rainbow colors. But the other one was unknown to them. It was Connor. He and Rainbow were racing to see who was faster. They were neck and neck and nearing the finish line. Pinkie was there waiting for them. She was literally shaking in anticipation. Once they arrived at the finish line, it was too close to call. “OH COME ON!” Pinkie shouted as Connor and Rainbow shook hand and hoof.
Meanwhile, Kira was walking around with Starlight, telling her about her life. Starlight was no Twilight when it came to listening, but she was not a push-over either. Kira’s life just seemed to fascinate her, a lot more than Ethan’s description of being a ranger. Kira was talking mostly about her music career and that it had just began to take off when she was brought to Equestria. Starlight couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy, although she knew that Kira wasn’t looking for any. “Well, you said you had your guitar. Why don’t you play a bit for me and the others?” Starlight offered. “You’re not feeling sympathetic, are you?” Kira asked. “I can’t help it. It’s just not fair that when your music career is finally going somewhere, you get swept into this crazy world,” Starlight countered. “Alright alright. Sure, I can preform for you guys sometime,” Kira said as she smiled.
Meanwhile (again) Ethan was heading to the castle after having finished his ‘project’. He needed to talk to Twilight. “Hey, what’s up?” Ethan heard an unfamiliar voice say. He turned to see that it was Spike, Twilight’s dragon assistant. “Oh, hey. Nothing, I just need to talk to Twilight,” Ethan replied. “What’s going on?” Spike questioned. He was still on the fence about trusting these humans, even if they were heroes back on Earth. “You’ll see. Now, do you know where she is?” Ethan inquired. “She’s in the library,” Spike reluctantly replied. “Thanks, Spike. And don’t worry, this may be the answer to all of our problems,” Ethan said as he left for the library.
Once he found Twilight, Ethan approached her. “Hey, Twilight. You don’t happen to know any tracking spells do you?” he asked her. “I know a couple. Why do you ask?” Twilight responded. “I’ve been working on something that might make this whole ‘Zeltrax problem’ a lot easier.” The two of them exited the castle to the edge of Ponyville. “I placed these stakes at each corner of Ponyville. Once you cast your spell, they’ll become active. Whenever a monster uses an invisportal to get in or out of Ponyville, I’ll be able to track where it came from or where it went on my computer,” Ethan explained. “That’s a great idea! Man, I forgot how advanced computers are,” Twilight said. “Well, not all computers. I just have done a lot of work on this thing. Ready to fire it up?” Ethan said. “Yep, let’s do it,” answered Twilight.
With that, Twilight cast a spell on the stake, causing it to glow. Unbeknownst to either of them, Zeltrax was watching in the distance. “Looks like I’m just gonna have to travel the old-fashioned way,” he said as he teleported away. As finished casting the spell, Ethan hooked up his computer. “It works. Now, whenever a monster gets into Ponyville, we can just track wherever it came from,” Ethan said. “That’s great. We should get going. Trust me, you do not want to be late for one of Pinkie’s parties,” Twilight said.
Connor, Ethan, and Kira walked into the boutique to see the clothes Rarity made for them. “These are amazing, Rarity. Thanks,” Ethan said. “I really hope it was what you were thinking of. I put a lot of work into these,” Rarity said. “Well, I don’t know the first thing about fashion; so I just thought I’d let you surprise me,” Connor said, getting a chuckle out of Rarity. The three rangers got dressed up and made their way to the Town Square for the party Pinkie planned for them.
Once they arrived, they were greeted by literally everypony in Ponyville. They were bombarded with questions. Luch]kily, before thing got too out of hand, a spotlight lit up on the stage that had been set up for the party. On the stage was the mayor of Ponyville. “Citizens of Ponyville, we are grateful for our new protectors, who showed up when we needed them. Even if it was not intentional, we thank you, Power Rangers,from the deepest depths of our hearts,” she said. Once she stepped down, Pinkie stepped up to the microphone, took a deep breath, and shouted, “WHO’S READY TO PARTY?!” The citizens all cheered as the pony they knew to be Vinyl Scratch got her music going as everyone and everypony got to either dancing or just chatting.
The rangers were having the time of their lives. Never, in all of their careers as rangers had they ever received a thanks this big. Sure, they got thanks from the people of Reefside back on Earth, but they had to keep their identities secret there. In fact, the only non-rangers who knew that they were rangers were Hailey, Anton Mercer, Cassie, and Devon. Hailey knew because she was a dear friend of Dr. O’s, Anton because he was Trant’s father, and Cassie and Devon knew because they witnessed the final battle between them and Mesagog. Other than that, no one knew so they couldn’t really take credit. But here, this was awesome.
In the distance, however, Zeltrax along with his newest monster were watching, preparing to strike. “Looks like you got a party to crash. I’ll go set the fourth beacon,” Zeltrax said before teleporting away. With that, the monster turned toward the party and gave a nasty grin.
The monster charged a laser, not too strong as this was just a warning shot. It fired into the air above the party, missing it by not a lot. Everyone at the party saw the laser and quickly became worried. As if it could sense their fear, the monster jumped into the middle of the dance floor, making every pony run away. Once the rangers got a look at the monster, their hearts fell to the pits of their stomachs. It was none other than the dreaded Terrorsaurus. The rangers had faced this monster twice already and were victorious both times. However, they had taken serious damage from every fight they had with this monster.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me. This guy, again!?” Connor said as he and the others got into a fighting pose. “We’ve beaten this guy before. This time won’t be any different,” Kira said with a hint of doubt in her voice. “Well, are you gonna do something or are you just gonna let me destroy you?” Terrorsaurus taunted. “We don’t have a choice. Ready?” Connor shouted. “Ready!” Ethan and Kira shouted in unison. “Dino Thunder! Power Up!” the rangers morphed and left into battle.
It wasn’t even close. The Terrorsaurus was fending off all three of them at once. The rangers couldn’t even land a hit. Their attacks were either blocked, or they just plain missed. The Terrorsaurus had a huge speed advantage, which wasn’t helping any. He could just run through repeatedly and land devastating hits.
“They’re getting clobbered! We’ve gotta do something!” Starlight yelled amidst the chaos. “What is there to do? They can’t even keep up with it!” Applejack countered. “Starlight’s right! We can’t just let that thing destroy them! We’ve never backed down from a fight before! Why should we start now?” Rainbow said, wanting to help Connor. “Don’t you guys remember what happened last time one of us went up against one of those thing directly?” Twilight said. “Yeah, it kinda happened to me! I know you said ‘no revenge’ but I’m not just gonna wait for that thing to destroy them and get to the rest of Ponyville!” Starlight replied, walking away from the group toward the fight. “That mare’s gonna get herself killed,” said Rarity. “Well, I think she’s right! If I’m going down, I’m going down fighting!” Rainbow said as she joined Starlight.
“Ugh, I guess we’d better help too then,” said Twilight. She and the others joined Starlight and Rainbow in the fight. Starlight tried to blast the monster, but it simply absorbed the blast with the horn on its chest. Rainbow tried to attack it from the back, but the monster did a spin and sent her flying with a kick. Using the opportunity, Applejack attempted to run at it and buck it as hard as she could. To her credit, she managed to reach the monster and turn to buck it, but the monster somehow grabbed onto Applejack’s hind hooves and threw her in the air. Twilight teleported into the air and charged her horn, and the monster was ready to counter. But Twilight teleported behind to fire. Unfortunately, the blast was once again absorbed by the horn on its chest. “Nice try, but it’s gonna take a little more than a quick maneuver to take me down,” the monster taunted.
Just then, the sun set down under the horizon and made way for Princess Luna’s moon. “We have to try to go super,” Connor said to his friends. “Right. We can’t let that guy destroy Equestria,” Ethan concurred. “Here we go, concentrate,” Kira said as the three of them began to focus all of their energy. Twilight and the others saw what the rangers were doing. “We have to buy them some time,” Twilight said. “But that thing’s just too strong!” Applejack countered. “As long as we’re still standing, we can still try,” Twilight said. “Right!” Starlight and Rainbow said. “Alright then, let’s do this. Hey wait a second. Where are Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rarity?” Applejack asked. “I told them to get the locals out of here,” Twilight answered.
After that was cleared up, the four of them charged into battle once again. Starlight fired another blast, but this time the monster took it instead of absorbing it like it did before. Rainbow and Applejack charged at it as fast as they could, and the monster returned the attacked. But this time, they were equally matched. Twilight teleported in front of the monster and sent it flying. In response, the monster fired a blast of its own, sending the four of them flying back. Luckily, the rangers were done with what they were trying to do. They were now in Super Dino-Mode. The white triangle patterns were now spikes on their suits.
The rangers charged into battle once again, and seemed to have the upper hand. They were able to rush in, land shots, and get away before Terrorsaurus could counter. “I need to recharge. You rangers got lucky, but next tim will be different,” Terrorsaurus said, before teleporting away.
“What was that thing?” Rainbow asked the rangers as they powered down. “That was Terrorsaurus. Zeltrax created it and modeled it after Trent’s powers,” Ethan explained. “Who’s Trent?” Applejack asked, a little confused. “The white Dino Ranger!” Twilight exclaimed. The other ponies gave her blank stares. “Oh come on, didn’t you hear Ethan talk about him at the castle?” Twilight said. “Oh, right,” Rainbow said, a little embarrassed. “Well, anyhow, let’s get back to the castle and try to figure out where that thing went,” Ethan said, as he and the others made their way back.
Meanwhile
The Terrorsaurus teleported to where Zeltrax was. “I am sorry master, I have failed you,” it pleaded. “You fool! Now the rangers can track me here!” Zeltrax boomed in response. “Don’t worry boss. I didn’t teleport directly here. I went somewhere else first to make sure they couldn’t,” Terrorsaurus pleaded once again.
“Alright, but if they find me, it’s gonna be your head on the line. Now, why have you failed. If I remember correctly, I made sure to give you more than enough energy to take the rangers down,” Zeltrax said in re-lay. “I know, but my power just faded for some reason mid-fight. And it didn’t help that the rangers recovered their super Dino Mode.”
Zeltrax thought about this for a moment. If the rangers had their super Dino Mode back, they could be able to bring him down before his plan could commence. “Fine, I’ll recharge you using the fourth beacon. The energy should be more than enough to take them down this time,” Zeltrax said. “Thank you, you won’t regret this,” Terrorsaurus said, getting back onto its feet. “I’d better not, or you’ll be the first one in!” Zeltrax boomed. “I won’t let you down boss, I promise,” Terrorsuarus said as it teleported away.
Zeltrax was slightly discerned. It would take a lot more time to make another beacon. If the rangers found out what he was doing, they’d shut it down for sure. But he knew, it would all be worth it in the end.

Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
Once everyone and everypony had arrived at Starlight’s old village, they were surprised to see it was in fine condition. Nopony was scurring in fear, all of the buildings were intact, and there were no signs that a monster had been there. “Party Favor! This is gonna sound a bit crazy, but you didn’t happen to see a white monster did you?” Starlight asked. “Um, no. Are you alright?” Party Favor responded. “Yes, I’m fine,” Starlight said, a little embarrassed.
“I don’t get it. Why would Terrorsaurus teleport here and not do anything to cause trouble?” Connor asked. “Do you guys think it’s possible that he could’ve known about the tracker?” Twilight asked. “I guess it’s possible. We didn’t exactly make sure no one was watching when we did I it,” Ethan said.
Just then, Terrorsaurus stepped out of the shadows, wearing new, purple armor. “Why don’t you try to find that out for yourselves? Of course I plan on causing trouble,” Terrorsaurus said. Kira looked off into the horizon; the sun was beginnning to set. She pointed this out to the others and they prepared to fight. The ponies got into their best fighting poses as the rangers morphed and went into super Dino Mode.
“You don’t stand a chance,” Terrorsaurus taunted, drawing a sword of his own. It was at this time that the locals began to run in fear. Some ran into their houses, others went up the mountain.
The rangers and the ponies charged into battle and were met with a surge of energy from the Terrorsaurus, sending them all flying back. “Looks like he’s recharged. Luckily the sun’s almost going down,” Connor said. He and the other rangers got up and charged into battle once again. The Terrorsaurus slashed at them with its sword, but the spikes on the rangers’ suits protected them. The rangers tried to flank the Terrorsaurus from all sides, but it was able to counter every attack they threw at it. It probably didn’t help that it also had a Jetpack-like machine on its back. It used it to fly above the rangers and swoop them.
Twilight and the others tried to get back into the fight, but they were blocked by a swarm of Tyrannadrones. “Looks like we’re gonna have to take these guys down again,” she said. Starlight was already in the middle of the swarm firing her magic every which way to take out Tyrannadrone after Tyrannadrone. Applejack joined her and began to use her strength to take down several Tyrannadrones at once. She then bucked as hard as she could, bringing down another one. Rainbow flew above and tried a Sonic Rainboom to send the Tyrannadrones away. It worked and she cheered as loudly as she could. A few of the Tyrannadrones tried to attack the innocents, but Rartiy used her magic to knock them back. Fluttershy and Pinkie were trying to get the locals out of danger, due to their lack of fighting experience.
The sun had finally set. The rangers regrouped and prepared to finish Terrorsaurus off. They charged at it once again, but this time, the Terrorsaurus countered their attacks even though the moon was up. The rangers were caught fatally off guard, as the monster grabbed onto them and threw them into separate houses. Then, as if things couldn’t get any worse, the Terrorsaurus multiplied into three. “You have gotta kidding,” Connor said. “It’s Mesagog all over again,” Ethan said. “Stop complaining and actually try,” Kira said. The rangers fought the three Terrorsauruses as best they could, but they could not take it down one on one.
The Tyrannadrones were finally taken down, and the locals were safe. Twilight and the others looked to see the fight was still going, even though the sun had gone down. “I don’t get it. I thought the sun was supposed to be that thing’s power source,” Twilight said. The Terrorsaurus began charging a powerful blast in its horn. Once it was finished it shouted, “Dark Energy Blast!” as it fired upon the rangers, making them de-morph. “If we’re gonna do something, we have to do it now,” Starlight said. “Alright, here we go,” Twilight said, reluctantly.
Just before they could engage in battle, a blinding light appeared. It lingered for a moment, and once it was gone, another human stood in its place. “You again? What are you doing here?” Terrorosaurus asked. “I’m here to take you down,” the human said.
Twilight and the others took the opportunity to tend to Connor and the other rangers. “Who is that?” Rainbow asked. “And why is he challenging the Terrorsaurus?” Twilight added. “It’s Trent. He just might be able to take it down,” Connor responded, barely conscious.
Trent whipped out his own, white dino morpher. “Gimme your best shot,” Terrorsaurus taunted. “I intend to. White Ranger! Dino Power!” Trent shouted. In another blinding flash, Trent morphed into his own ranger mode. His suit was mostly white and had black triangle patterns, instead of white. And instead of a black visor on his helmet, he had a red visor. “Drago Power!” Trent shouted, as he drew his drago-saber. He and the Terrorsaurus engaged in battle. They were matched on levels of strength, speed, and durability. Anything the Terrorsaurus was able to do before, Trent could now do as well.
“How are those two so equally matched? That thing was just mopping the floor with you guys earlier,” Starlight said. “Like I said before, the Terrorsaurus was modeled often Trent’s power. They have all of the same abilities,” Ethan responded.
Trent and the Terrorsaurus continued to fight, neither warrior gaining an inch on the other. If one looked at it, they would just see a black and white blur of chaos. Both the Terrorsaurus and Trant were moving so fast. Once they finally separated, Trent turned toward the other rangers. “Are you guys alright?” he asked. “Just a little beat up. How did you get here?” Connor responded. “I’ll explain later. First I gotta take this guy down,” Trent said, turning his attention back toward the Terrorsaurus. “Your reign of terror is over!” Trent said. “Bring it on!” Terrorsaurus responded. “Gladly. Super Dino Mode!” Trent shouted.
With that, Trent’s suit began to change, just as the other rangers’ suits did when they entered super Dino Mode. The black triangles on Trent’s breastplate became long spikes, along with the triangles on his legs. To finish the transformation, the black bracelets on his wrists became two gauntlet-like weapons. After he was all suited up for battle, Trent once again charged toward the Terrorsaurus. The Terrorsaurus didn’t put up a very good fight. Trent’s speed was now doubled, his blades extremely sharp, and he didn’t give the Terrorsaurus an inch. The fight finally ended when Trent began to wave his blades in a circular motion, and the blades themselves began to store more and more energy, while also increasing in length. Trent swung his blades at the Terrosaurus, unleashing all of the energy inside of them. The Terrorsaurus was finally defeated and exploded into a bunch of pieces.
“That was amazing! Your timing could not have been better,” Twilight said, walking up to Trent. “Woah there, back up...whatever you are again,” Trent said. “An alicorn,” Ethan shouted. “Alicorn, thank you,” Trent said.
Before anything else could be said, a laser was fired at the remains of Terrorsaurus, causing it to reform and grow. “Guess I’d better take care of that too,” Trent said, “Dragonzord! Stegozord!” With that, two zords approached, one white and flying the other purple and walking. The white dragon picked up the purple stegosaurus, and the two of them began to combine. Trent jumped into the cockpit of the newly formed Megazord.
The Terrorsaurus attacked the Megazord, but Trent stood his ground. He drew the blade and countered Terrorsaurus’s attacks. The Megazord then quickly jumped back and did a multitude of flips, slashing the Terrorsaurus with its tail. The Terrorsaurus was clearly hurt, but it still had enough strength to fight. “Dark energy blast!” It shouted as it unloaded a blast of energy from its horn. Trent’s Megazord began to spark. It was starting to come apart.
“He needs help!” Rainbow shouted. “Right, let’s call in the Pefalazord,” Connor said as his morpher turned into an aqua-blue color, “That works too.”
In the distance, a zord of the same color with a saw on its back approached the fight. “Alright, the Dimetrozord!” Trent yelled as the Dimetrozord attacked Terrorsaurus. Terrorsaurus tried to fight back, but the saw was able to cut through anything. “Dimetrozord! Combine!” Trent shouted as the Dimetrozord folded its legs and reached the saw out further.
Trent’s Megazord got back up and attacked the Terrorsaurus with the saw. Terrorsaurus tried to fight back, but anything it attacked with was cut down by the saw. Then, the saw began to spin even faster as energy began to charge within it. The saw unleashed a powerful slash the severed the horn on the front of the Terrorsaurus. Then, Trent drew his blade from before and set it down on a hill. He charged the arm of the Megazord and shot the blade forward like a missile. The blade-missile made contact with the Terrorsaurus, bringing him down once and for all.
Trent got back down to the ground and de-morphed as his friends approached, along with those horse things from earlier. “Dude, that was awesome,” Connor said. “Thanks, but what exactly was that thing doing here? And where exactly is here?” Trent asked. “We’ll explain on the way back to Ponyville,” Twilight said. “Where? Actually, nevermind, I’ll let you explain once we get there,” Trent replied.
Before they left, Starlight noticed the Terrorsaurus’s horn on the ground. “Hey, should we bring this with us?” she asked the others. “Sure, as long as no one turns evil,” Ethan said.
Meanwhile
Zeltrax was extremely annoyed. Not only was his Terrorsaurus destroyed, but he was a beacon short. If that white ranger hadn’t shown up, Terrorsaurus would’ve defeated them for sure. He planted the next beacon in the ground. And teleported away. Luckily, he bought enough spare parts from Broodwing to make another one. And once all of them were planted, the rangers would be wishing that they were never born.

I can’t believe no one guessed in the comments last chapter. If you’re thinking “plot convenience “ you’re not technically wrong, but I will have the next chapter being an explanation on how Trent got here. Seriously though, I said it once, and I’ll say it again: No Tommy Oliver. I have my reasons.

The story of the White Ranger
Let me get this straight, said Trent. “We’re in an alternate dimension called ‘Equestria.’ This land is filled with ponies, unicorns, pegasi, and other assorted creatures, some corresponding so earth, some not. Your names are Rainbow Dash, Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack. Is that it?” “Yeah, pretty much,” said Ethan. “Hm. That’s... that’s a lot to take in so quickly,” Trent said. “Don’t worry. You get used to it after a while,” said Connor.
“Um, if you don’t mind my asking, how exactly did you get here?” Twilight spoke up.
“Oh, right,” Trent responded, “I was just gonna explain that. So my dad and I were...”
Trent and his father, Anton Mercer, were packing up to get ready for their road trip. After two years of research, they had finally found the old Thunderzords! And wouldn’t you guess, they were still in Angel Grove, only underground. They weren’t gonna do anything stupid, Anton had already had enough of that, they were just going to examine them.
Once they got on the road, Trent’s old Dino Gem began to glow. “I thought that was out of power,” said Anton. “It’s fine. It’s been doing that lately. Nothing’s ever come from it,” Trent responded.
Once they arrived, they set up their small construction site. They got out the drill, set it in place, and began to drill. A couple of guys walked up to them. One of them was tall and skinny; the other was not. “Hey, you guys got a permit?” said the not-skinny one. “Yeah, I’m Anton Mercer and this is my son. We’re just doing a little excavating here, nothing to get excited about,” said Anton as he pulled out his permit and showed it to them. “Interesting. You know, a battle took place here. It was between the Power Rangers and a giant skeleton. Say, you don’t happen to know anything about that?” said the skinny guy.
“Now, why would we know anything about that,” said Trent with a little bit of snark. These guys may have been older than he was, but he knew he could still mess with them. “Say, do YOU know anything about that?”
“Um, well...you see, the rangers...um, they,” stuttered the skinny guy. “Well, everything looks to be in order. We’ll just get out of your way,” said the big guy quickly. “No, it sounds interesting. I’d love to hear it,” Trent said. He was getting a kick out of this. “No, we’ve really gotta get going. We have somewhere to be,” the man tired again. “Then how come you had time to come check out what was going on over here?” Trent said, sarcastically. “That’s enough Trent. You guys look like you’re in a hurry. Maybe you can tell us another time,” Anton said.
After they left, Anton and Trent shared a laugh. “I don’t know for sure, but I’m pretty sure that the zords should be at least twenty-five meters underground,” Anton said as he got the drill going.
Just then, a flash of light quickly appeared, and then left as quick as it came. In its place was a white artifact from Trent’s ranger days. It was Connor’s Sheild of Triumph. Only, it was white. “I didn’t think I’d ever see this again,” said Anton. Neither he nor Trent saw it appear and just found it sitting on the ground. “Well, the Dino Zords were destroyed, but I guess this survived,” said Trent.
Anton started the drill back up and about twenty minutes later, it hit something. Anton and Trent pulled up the drill as fast as they could and Trent strapped himself up to lower himself down the hole. Anton slowly lowered his son down, careful not to let his grip on the rope slip. “Alright, I’m standing on something,” Trent said through his walkie-talkie. “What’s it look like down there?” Anton asked. “It’s a zord alright. I can tell because I’m standing on some sort of helmet.” “Oaky, I’m gonna lower myself down there with you.” “Alright, be careful.”
As Anton was getting strapped up, another light appeared. Only this time it lingered around long enough for Anton to notice. Once he did, a swarm of Tyrannadrones came out of it. “I thought you guys were destroyed,” Anton said. All he got in response was a growl. “Seriously, all these years and you still can’t talk?” Anton did his best to fight them off, but he had very little fighting experience. The commotion was heard by Trent below. “What’s going on up there?” he said. All he heard in response were growls. “Dad? What’s going on?” Just then, Trent saw a Tyrannadrone fall down the hole and land right next to him. “What the!?” Trent said as his Dino Gem began to glow once again.
Trent knew he had to help his father, but he didn’t know how. All he could do was try to concentrate his energy on his Dino Gem and hop his morphed reappeared. He closed his eyes and began to focus, trying not let his desperation get to him. To his relief, he saw his morphed on his wrist when he opened his eyes.
“White Ranger! Dino Power!” Trent shouted as he leaped out of the hole. He was now morphed into his White Ranger Mode and it felt awesome! It had been way too long. Trent would’ve loved to revel in the situation, but he needed to protect his father first. He quickly drew his drago-saber and began to slash at the monsters. One by one, all of them went down.
After the monsters were defeated, Trent de-morphed and tended Anton. “Are you okay?” “I’m fine, but are you? That power was supposed to be destroyed,” Anton responded. “I’m fine. It doesn’t matter, protecting you comes first,” Trent said back.
Before anything else could be said, another light appeared, this time showing another location. When Trent took a closer look, he saw his friends, Connor, Ethan and Kira fighting a monster. It took him a second, but Trent identified the monster as the Terrorsaurus. “I have to help them,” said Trent. “It looks like they need you too. Good luck my son,” Anton said.
Before Trent went through, Anton took another look at the shield. “Wait, take this just in case,” he said. “Alright. And don’t worry, I’ll come back,” Trent said as he went through.
“So I guess fate decided to give me a choice this time,” Trent said as his friends stood before him, mouths agape. “What do you mean ‘this time’?” Starlight asked. “When I first became a ranger, I was forced into it more than anything,” Trent explained. “Right, and you were forced to attack your friends because the gem was corrupt and making you evil,” Twilight added. “Yeah,that too,” Trent deadpanned. “Oh, sorry,” said Twilight, a little embarrassed. “Oh by the way, I believe this belongs to you, Connor,” Trent said, handing him the Shield of Triumph. “Oh, thanks. But why is it white again?” “It’s probably because it hasn’t been used in so long,” Kira said.
Trent glanced around at the inside of the castle. He was still surprised at where he really was. He thought the portal that he saw just lead to another place on Earth. “By the way, what was Terrorsaurus doing here in the first place?” Trent asked. “Right. Well, we didn’t exactly come to this place by will. We were kind of brought here by unknown means. And to answer your question, Zeltrax has returned and is attacking this place,” Ethan explained, not looking away from his laptop.
“What are you doing anyways, Ethan,” Twilight asked as she walked up beside him. “Analyzing the Terrorsaurus’s horn that Starlight found,” he responded. A few seconds later, he gasped. “What’s wrong?” Connor asked. “This horn: it’s made mostly of robotic parts but...” Ethan trailed off. “But what?” Twilight asked, worriedly.
“This horn has extreme traces of...dark matter!”

Defeat and Triumph (part 1)
“What’s ‘dark matter’?” Starlight asked. “Dark matter is one of the strongest concentrated elements on earth. That explains why the Terrorsaurus had so much energy after the sun went down,” Ethan explained. “This doens’t make sense. There’s no way Zeltrax didn’t plan for my arrival. Why would he waste his dark matter on a monster he knew I could defeat?” Trent asked. “Oh yeah...forgot to mention, I’m getting readings of more dark matter coming from separate areas of Equestria.” “What exactly can Zeltrax do with ‘dark matter’?” Twilight asked. “Well, with enough of it, he could create a black hole.” “But that would destroy him too,” Kira said. “Hold on, what’s a black hole?” Rainbow asked. “In non-sciency terms, it’s a giant death portal, from which there is no escape,” Connor explained. The ponies in the room felt their heart rates increase by one hundred and ten percent. Something like that terrified them, mostly because they didn’t know that kind of power even existed.
“Where exactly in Equestria are you getting those other readings?” Twilight asked, trying to hide the fear in her voice. “Here, go ahead and compare them to the map,” Ethan responded. Twilight and Starlight took a look at Ethan’s laptop. They compared the location readings to the map. “Let’s see, there’s something coming from the Everfree Forest, another from the Dragon Lands, one from the Crystal Empire, and one more at the outskirts of Equestria.” “We should probably go check those out,” Connor said. “I call dragon lands. After all, my Dino Power is of a dragon,” Trent said. “I guess I’ll go with ya, if y’all don’t mind,” said Applejack. “Not at all,” responded Trent. “I’ll take the one in the Everfree forest. I’m not afraid of that place,” said Kira. “I can probably help you navigate,” said Fluttershy. “Thanks,” Kira responded sweetly. “I’d personally like to see the ‘Crystal Empire’. It sounds very fascinating,” said Ethan. “I’ll go with you. Maybe Cadance or Shining Armor have found where it’s coming from,” said Twilight. “Alright. Although, I’m assuming you just want to see Flurry Heart?” said Ethan. “Maybe...if there’s time.” “I guess that just leaves the outskirts. Wanna come take a look with me Rainbow?” Connor said. “Sounds good,” she replied. “We’ll stay here in case Zeltrax or one of his monsters appear,” said Starlight. “Alright, we’ll try not to take too long,” said Ethan.
With that, everyone and everypony set out to find where the dark matter was coming from. They needed to do what they could to contain it. However, unbeknownst to any of them, Zeltrax was watching from a distance. If the rangers got to his beacons, it would put him back at square one, if not ruin his plan completely. He had an idea, but it would be too risky. He decided to keep an eye on the rangers, and if things got too close, he’d unleash it. For now, he decided he would watch the white one.
Trent and Applejack arrived at the dragon lands. “We should talk to Amber. She’s the ruler here,” suggested Applejack. “Sounds good,” responded Trent.
Before they could find her, a group of rebels walked up to them. “You guys aren’t welcome here,” said the red one. “Ugh, what do you want, Garble?” Applejack asked. “Just for you wimpy ponies to leave us alone. Amber said to make peace with you, not hang out with you,” Garble responded.
“What’s the deal with this guy?” Trent asked. “He’s just a rebel with a bad attitude,” Applejack responded. “Hey, wait a second, you’re one of the rangers, aren’t you?” Garble said, this time to Trent. “Yeah, so what if I am?” Trent responded. “We don’t share the idea that you ‘Power Rangers’ are the ‘Almighty Saviours from Another World’. So here’s a challenge-“ Garble started to say, but was cut off by Trent quickly running past him like Connor. “You were saying?” he taunted. “You said you wanted to see Amber? She’s this way, follow me,” Garble said sheepishly.
Garble leaded Applejack and Trent to the dragon leader, Amber, as promised. “Hey Applejack. Who’s this?” she asked. “Hey Amber. This here’s Trent. He’s one of the Power Rangers, the white one,” Applejack responded. “I thought there was only a red one, a blue one, and a yellow one?” Amber said. “He’s just arrived,” Applejack explained. “Oh. So what exactly are you guys doing here, if you don’t mind my bluntness,” Amber said. “Well, have you seen anything suspicious at all? Or felt anything weird?” Trent asked. “Well, a couple of days ago, I did see a weird flash over there,” Amber said. “Thanks, we’ll go check it out.”
Once they found where Amber was talking about, Applejack and Trent found some strange device. When they tried to approach it though, Zeltrax appeared out of an invisiportal. “Not another step, white ranger.” “What are you doing here, Zeltrax?” Trent said. “Exactly what you think,” Zeltrax responded. Zeltrax drew his blade and fired a shot of lightning at Applejack and Trent. In response, Trent shoved Appljck out of the way, and dodged the blast himself. “White Ranger! Dino Power!” Trent shout as he activated his morphed and became the white ranger. He drew his blade and engaged in battle with Zeltrax. During all of this, a swarm of Tyrranadrones appeared and tried to attack Applejack. But Applejack had fought these guys enough to know their weaknesses, and she stood her ground pretty well.

“Woah, an entire empire made of crystal! This has to be the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen,” exclaimed Ethan. “That’s right, I forgot how rare crystals were on earth,” Twilight responded. Once they officially arrived at the train station, they were greeted by Shining Armor (Twilight’s brother), Princess Cadance (his wife), and Flurry Heart (their child). “Twily! It’s great to see you. We heard about what happened and we were just on our way to see if you were okay,” Shining Armour said as he took Twilight into an embrace. “And this must be one of the rangers. I’m sure you’ve heard it a lot by now, but thank you for your help in protecting Equestria,” said Cadance. “No problem, it’s what us rangers do. Anyhow, I’m Ethan, the blue one. It’s nice to finally meet you,” Ethan responded. Flurry Heart responded by giving a joyful laugh as she too Twilight’s horn in an embrace.
“So, not to be rude, but what are you guys doing here? It’s been pretty calm here,” said Shining Armour. “We’ve been getting pretty strong readings from our enemies coming from around here. we’re here to check it out. Or, at least I am. I’m pretty sure Twilight just wanted to see you guys,” Ethan explained. “Well, we haven’t seen anything. But we can ask Sunburst if he has,” said Cadance. “Alright. Hey Twilight, who’s Sunburst again?” Ethan asked. “Sunburst is Starlight’s old friend who helps keep an eye on Flurry Heart sometimes,” said Twilight, with Flurry still on her horn.
Once they arrived at Sunburst’s hut, Twilight knocked at the door. A yellow/orange unicorn with a cloak and a somewhat ruffled mane opened the door and walked out. “Oh hey Twilight. I didn’t know you were coming, or else I would have cleaned up a bit,” said Sunburst. “It’s no problem. This is Ethan, the blue Power Ranger,” Twilight responded. “Oh wow! I’ve been wanting to meet you guys ever since I heard about your arrival,” exclaimed Sunburst. “Oh well, here I am. Now, if you don’t mind, we were hoping to ask you a quick question,” said Ethan. “Go right ahead.” “Have you felt any kind of weird energy in the Crystal Empire?” “Now that you mention it, I have sensed a powerful energy that I’ve never felt before. Why do you ask?” “It’s highly dangerous and we need to contain it. Now, where would you say it is?” “If I had to guess, I’d say toward the edge of the empire.” “Okay, thanks. And if there’s time, we can chat about my powers later.” “Okay, good luck finding whatever it is you’re looking for.”
Once Ethan and Twilight said their goodbyes to Cadance and Shining Armour, they are their way to the edge of the empire. Once there, they found a strange device in the ground, waiting to be activated. “I think this is where the readings are coming from,” reasoned Ethan. “Let’s see,” responded Twilight. Before they could get too close to th device, a swarm of Tyrannadrones appeared blocking it. Along with them was a monster with dark scales, large fangs, snakes coming up its arms, and a snake head as well. “I am Viprex! You will feel my poison,” the monster said as it fired a liquid of some sort out of its arms. Ethan and Twilight ducked out of the way. “Dino Thunder! Power Up!” Ethan exclaimed as he morphed into his blue ranger mode and engaged in battle with the monster. Twilight fired a beam of magic at one of the Tyrannadrones and prepared to fight.

Fluttershy and Kira were making their way through the Everfree Forest. Kira was leading the way as Fluttershy was mostly telling her which way not to go. “I don’t get why you’re so afraid of this place, no offense,” Kira said. “Oh, none taken. I’m just kind of scared of the dark, along with all of the other creatures that lurk in here,” Fluttershy responded. “Well, I guess it is kind of dark for midday. But what kind of creatures do you mean?” Kira asked. “Well, mostly just timberwolves. But there’s also snakes and bears and manticores and...u-ursamajors!” Flutter shy said, hiding further under her mane. “It’s fine. If one of those things show up, I’ll take care of it,” Kira tried to comfort Fluttershy.
A little bit later, Kira felt a strange source of energy. “We must be getting close, I can feel something,” she told Fluttershy. And sure enough, they found a strange contraption under some vines. “Hmm...I’ve never seen anything like this before. We should probably get it back to the castle,” said Kira. “O-ok sounds good. As long as we can go,” stuttered Fluttershy.
However, when they turned to leave, Kira and Fluttershy were confronted by a group of Tyrannadrones. With them was a monster with branches for arms and legs, complete with vines for hair and a face. “I am the almighty Birge! You will pay for interrupting my slumber!” the monster shouted. “Fluttershy, get out of-nevermind,” said Kira as she saw Fluttershy running away as fast as she could. “Looks like it’s just you and me,” shouted Birge. “Dino Thunder! Power Up!” Kira shouted as she morphed into her yellow suit and roared at the Tyrannadrones, taking them all out in an instant. “Looks like it’s really just you and me now.”
Meanwhile
Connor and Rainbow Dash were running and flying as fast as they could. They had a long way to go, and there was no train to take them there. Once Connor felt the dark matter, he started to slow down. Rainbow noticed this and slowed down as well. “It’s around here, I can feel it,” Connor said.
Sure enoug, after looking for a minute, Rainbow found an artifact she had never seen before. “Hey Connor, come take a look at this.” Connor came over and saw what she was talking about. “This must be what the readings were coming from. Let’s get it back to the castle,” Connor said. “Right,” replied Rainbow.
When they tried to approach it, however, a swarm of Tyrannadrones appeared along with a monster. The monster had a long spiky spine, sharp-looking claws, and a head that looked like a fossil. “I’m gonna send you back ton the stone-age!” it shouted as Connor and Rainbow prepared for battle. “Dino Thunder! Power Up!” Connor shiouted as he and Rainbow charged into battle.
Connor connected with the monster’s claws and was knocked back a bit. He quickly recovered and slashed at the monster with his blade. The blade hit, but the monster didn’t react at all. “Hey, that tickled. I hate being tickled,” the monster said as it fired a laser beam at Connor, sending him flying backwards. “Oh boy,this is gonna be tough to do alone,” Connor said to himself. He rose his morphed close to his face and spoke into it, “Guys, I need help.” “I’m sorry Connor, but Zeltrax is here. I’m dealing with him,” said Trent. “There’s a monster here in the Crystal Empire, too. I can’t help you,” said Ethan. “There’s a tree monster in the Everfree forest, so I’m occupied at the moment,” said Kira.
“Great. Looks like I’m on my own here.”

Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
Defeat and triumph (part 2)
Trent was currently fighting Zeltrax in easily the hottest place he’d ever been. The fight wasn’t making it any better for him. No matter how hard he tried to attack, Zeltrax always struck back, and they were equally matched. Applejack was also fighting off her own group of Tyrannadrones. Not that she wasn’t doing good, there were just too many of them. She knew she couldn’t keep it up much longer; she was bound to get overwhelmed.
Just beyond the fight, the beacon Trent and Applejack came to check out began to glow. This caught Zeltrax’s attention long enough for Trent to gain the upper hand. “You’re going down for good this time, Zeltrax!” Trent shouted. “That’s what you said last time,” Zeltrax retorted. Zeltrax saw the invisiportal he used to get here, and he took a chance and reached out for it. He and Trent both disappeared through it. Applejack saw this and was distracted long enough for the Tyrannadrones to grab hold of her and teleport away as well.
Meanwhile
In the Crystal Empire, Ethan was struggling to hold his own against the snake monster that had called itself ‘Viprex’. He wasn’t sure if the fangs on her arms were poisonous, and he didn’t want to find out the hard way. This left the strategy of getting under the monster and forcing her into the air. Luckily, Twilight was having better luck than he was. She was just too fast for the Tyrannadrones to keep up. Although it had taken her a while to find the right spell to hurt these creatures, she had indeed found it. And it probably helped that she was able to teleport.
Ethan drew his blaster and used that to attack Viprex. The resulting shot hit, but it made the monster squirt out some yellow liquid that drenched Ethan and most of the Tyrannadrones. Ethan instantly felt his strength draining from his body, and he was becoming numb. “T-Twilight! Help! I got-I got hit with the monster’s p-poison!” he cried, hoping Twilight could do something to ease the pain. Twilight quickly saw Ethan and knew he was about to power down. Luckily, she recently learned a spell to help alleviate poison. She casted it at Ethan, and as a result, he instantly got back up and into the fight.
“I’m not taking anymore chances with you,” Ethan said. “Bring it on!” the monster retaliated. “Super Dino Mode!” Ethan quickly entered his super mode as his spikes grew once again. Viprex tried to blast him with poison again, but the spikes were thick enough to block the poison. Ethan took the opportunity to get in close with the monster and slash away at it. The monster just wasn’t fast enough to successfully block everything. When there was once again a respectable distance between Ethan and the monster, Ethan drew his shield and threw it as hard as he could at the monster. The shield went directly through the monster and it fell down, defeated.
After the chaos was over, Ethan and Twilight regrouped; but the device from before was nowhere to be found. “I have to help my friends. You get back to Ponyville and tell the others what we found. I’ll take my Tricerazord,” Ethan told Twilight. “Right. Be careful,” Twilight responded.
Meanwhile
In the Everfree forest, Kira was facing the tree monster that had previously called itself the Birge. The monster was decently strong, and Kira had a little trouble landing a hit. The Birge was also struggling to land a solid shot on Kira. If Kira was equally matched the speedy monster from a few days ago, she and this monster were on a whole other level of matches. Eventually, Kira got tired of trying to blast or slash the monster, so she went super mode on it. But the monster had another power level of its own.
“Ugh, why is this taking so long?” Kira asked, sarcastically. “Well you’re the one who woke me up from my slumber,” the monster retaliated. “Wait, do you not work for Zeltrax?” “No, I’ve never heard of that being.” “Oh. Then in that case, sorry for waking you up. I was just looking for something in this part of the forest. I thought you were attacking me because Zeltrax told you to.” “Like I said, I don’t know who Zeltrax is. Now can I go back to sleep?” “Yeah sure. Go right ahead.”
After that little conversation was over, the Birge fell to the ground and began to deform. Its vines and leaves sunk into the ground as the wood began to resemble a tiny tree. “Weird,” Kira said to herself. She turned to find the device she and Fluttershy (who by now was back in Ponyville) had found earlier was gone. She took off in her Pterazord to go help her friends.
Meanwhile
Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, Connor and Rainbow Dash were struggling to bring down a rock monster. The monster was slow enough for them to land plenty of attacks, but it barely reacted. Not only that, but it actually hurt Connor and Rainbow. Connor tried everything: his blaster did absolutely nothing, his blade broke immediately, and his tyrannostaff was coming apart as well. He had no choice left but to go super. He tried to power up, but the monster grabbed hold of Rainbow by the neck and began to tighten its grip. Connor didn’t know why, but he felt a deep, intense rage he had only felt when Zeltrax held Trista hostage. “LET HER GO YOU CREEP!” Connor clenched his fists as hard as he could and took another charge at the monster. The monster threw a punch at Connor and that was enough to send him flying back. Another shot like that,cans he would be powered down. “C-Connor!” Rainbow choked out from the monster’s iron grip. She felt a tear roll down her cheek and a sob escape her throat. She was feeling something she never felt before she met Connor. In a strange way, she was enjoying this new feeling. The only thing that could make it better was if there wasn’t a monster strangling her.
Ethan and Kira arrived in their zords and saw what was happening. They went super and got a small jump on the monster. They were able to knock it down and let go of Rainbow Dash. They ran over to Connor and helped him to his feet. “Rainbow D-Dash. I-I she okay?” he asked them. “She’s a little beat up, but she’s out of the monster’s grip,” replied Kira. Ethan and Kira turned their attention to the monster again while Connor snuck around it to tend to Rainbow. “C-Connor. Are y-you okay?? she stuttered out. “I’m fine. But I need to get you somewhere safer,” Connor replied, as he picked up Rainbow Dash and hid her in a small cavern. She felt that feeling from earlier as he was laying her down, but this time it was stronger than before.
While Connor was tending to Rainbow, Ethan and Kira were both getting their butt’s kicked. The monster was much more active than before, and it didn’t give the rangers an inch. Connor rejoined them and they took a quick breather. “I don’t think we’ve ever faced anything this strong,” said Ethan. “We have, but we usually have Trent or Dr. O to help us. We’re on our own for this one though,” Kira responded. “I have an idea, but I’m not sure you’re gonna like it,” Connor said, pulling out the white shield Trant gave him. “Are you sure that’ll work? I mean, what if we give it our power, and it isn’t enough?” Ethan said. “I don’t have any other ideas,” Connor confessed. “I guess we’re out of options. Let’s do it,” Kira said. “Alright then. Let’s hope this works,” Ethan said. Connor held out the shield as Ethan and Kira began to give their energy to it. The shield began to glow as the two of the powered down. Connor stayed morphed, but his suit also changed. The white triangle pattern from before was now blue with a gold outline. His mask also got a few golden modifications. He was now in his Triassic Ranger Mode.
“What;s this? More power to destroy?” the monster said as it prepared to charge. It did, but when it hit the shield, Connor stood his ground and thrust as hard as he could. The resulting contact made the monster stumble back as his armor began to crack. The rocks fell off of the monster to reveal a large, two-legged lizard. “Oh sure, now we can fight him,” said Kira, a little annoyed. Connor drew the sword from the back of the shield and charged at the monster again. This time, he was able to attack it without any trouble. The lizard tried to fight back, but it was getting a taste of its own medicine. Connor started to wave the blade around as energy started to flow through it. He unleashed that energy upon the monster, and it fell down and exploded.
“I am so glad that’s over. Thanks for the help guys,” Connor said to his fellow rangers. “We’re glad to help. But right now, we gotta go help Trent. He’s fighting Zeltrax alone,” said Ethan. “You’re not going anywhere!” shouted the monster as it started to grow and its rock armor returned. “Are your powers starting to come back?” Connor asked. “Enough to call the zords,” said Kira.
The rangers called their Dino Zords, along with the Pefalazord just for good measure. The zords combined, and the rangers had at the monster. The monster was a bit taken back because of the Pefalazord, but it still stood its ground. It struck back with its tail. The Megazord took a huge shot and had trouble staying in one piece. “Let’s try the Dimetrozord,” said Ethan. The Dimetrozord approached with its saw and got the jump on the monster. The saw managed to leave a huge scrape in the monster’s armor, but the monster used its claws to strike it down. It then turned its attention to the rangers and struck it as hard as possible. As a result, the zords broke apart, and the rangers fell to the ground.
“I think we’re gonna have to call in THAT zord, Connor,” Kira said. “Alright, if you say so,” Connor responded. Connor looked at his morphed and concentrated his energy on it. In the distance, the monster heard a loud roar. It turned to see where it came from, and it saw a red zord with a chariot behind it. “Bring it on!” the monster taunted. The zord and the monster both charged forward, but the zord has the upper hand. The monster went flying backward as its armor began to break again. “Alright, it worked. The Mezadon’s here!” Connor cheered as it jumped into the cockpit of the Mezadon.
The Mezadon began to fold up, and soon, it was in its own battle mode. The monster tried to escape, but Connor attacked with the Mezadon’s axes and slashed the monster down. Connor began swinging the axes as energy started to build up inside them. Connor unleashed the energy, and the monster was destroyed.
Connor jumped out of the cockpit to the ground. “Okay, now we should go help Trent,” said Ethan. “Right, but first I have to get Rainbow back to Ponyville,” Connor said. “Right, we’ll meet you at the Dragon Lands,” Kira said. With that, Ethanand Kira took off in their zords, leaving Connor to retrieve Rainbow Dash. “How you holding up?” he asked her. “I-I’ll be fine. Thank you..for saving me,” Rainbow said, blushing. “It’s no problem, really,” Connor replied as he picked up Rainbow and jumped back into the Mezadon. The two of them made their way to Ponyville.
Later
Connor and Rainbow arrived in Ponyville in the Mezadon. Connor jumped out of the cockpit with Rainbow in his arms. Twilight and the rest of Rainbow’s friends, except for Applejack, crowded around him. “What happened? Is she okay?” Starlight asked worriedly. “She’ll be fine. She just bit off more than she could chew,” Connor responded. “We should probably get her to the castle,” said Rarity. The seven of them made their way to the castle, where Spike was waiting for them.
“Spike, get your medical supplies. Rainbow’s hurt badly,” Twilight instructed. Spike did so, and he ran a few standard procedures on the mare. “She’s gonna be okay. She just needs to take it easy,” Spike told them.
Connor drew his morpher and contacted Ethan. “What’s going on with Zeltrax, Ethan?” he said. “They’re not here,” Ethan replied. “What? What are you talking about?” Connor asked. “We got here, and Trent, Applejack, and Zeltrax aren’t here.” “Well then where are they?”
Before Ethan could respond again, a bright flash appeared outside. Starlight looked out and saw Trent and Apllejack fighting Zeltrax. Trent was in his super mode, but Zeltrax also had these red spikes on his body that weren’t there before. The two of them seemed to be equally matched. “They’re out here,” Starlight told the others. Connor looked out too and saw what was going on. “I forgot Zeltrax could do that,” he said as he and the others made their way outside.
Once there, Connor got into his own super mode and joined Trent in battle. “Good timing,” Trent said once he saw Connor. “Thanks. What happened?” “I’m still not sure. We were fighting at the dragon lands and suddenly, we appeared here.”
While the two of them were talking, Zeltrax charged his sword with a lightning bolt and fired it at them. “Look out!” yelled Starlight as she fired a beam to counter it. “Thanks, Starlight,” Connor said, “oh and by the way, the Shield of Triumph is working again.” “Alright, nice. Try it out.”
Connor drew the shield again and turned into the Triassic Ranger. He and Zeltrax went at it again, and Connor was able to take Zeltrax without much trouble. But when Connor went to finish him off, his blast hit a canister that Zeltrax was holding. The canister shattered, and the stuff it was containing spilled out onto the ground. The items began to glow and form into something large. “You have no idea who you just unleashed, Red Ranger,” Zeltrax said. Not a second later, standing in the place the items were forming was the monster Connor and Trent hoped they’d never see again. It was none other than Mesagog, in all of his ugly glory.
“Well, I’m out of here,” said Zeltrax as he leapt into an invisiportal. Ethan and Kira arrived to see what was happening, and when they saw Mesagog, they were frozen in terror. “You rangers will fall beneath my feet. As will Zeltrax afterward,” Mesagog said.
Meanwhile
That was the last straw. Zeltrax had to put his plan into action. The rest of the beacons were ready. He took the last one and emptied the dark matter onto himself. All he needed to do now was unleash it, and the rest of the beacons would correspond. Tomorrow. Tomorrow at daybreak would be the best time to do it. Mesagog and the rangers would soon be no more, along with the rest of Equestria.

I’m so sorry this chapter took so long. I think it’s safe to say that the next chapter will be the last. It’s already set in stone, so don’t tell me what I should do in the comments (not that you were goi g to anyhow), but instead just tell me what you thought of the chapter. Prehistoric Thunder: a Power Rangers story
Connor, Ethan, Kira, and Trent stood and faced their worst enemy: Mesagog. He was just as ugly as ever. “You rangers have been a thorn in my side for too long. It is now time for me to destroy, so I can then move on to destroying that traitor, Zeltrax,” he said, or really just whispered eerily. “We beat you once we’ll beat you again,” said Trent. “Only half of that statement is true, white ranger. You don’t have Dr. Oliver to protect you now,” retorted Mesagog.
Twilight and the others were still trying to wrap their heads around exactly what they were looking at. It looked like a human, but its head was huge. Those teeth were just so long. Those claws were just so sharp. All in all, it looked like a lab experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong.
“Are we gonna do this or what?” Connor shouted. “If you wish, red ranger. But I must warn you, luck is no longer on your side,” said Mesagog. The rangers charged at Mesagog, who took his sweet time. Once contact was finally made, Mesagog came alive. He was faster than all of the rangers combined. Only problem: he wasn’t fast enough to counter and attack. The rangers tried everything to blasting him, slashing him, and using their individual weapons. Twilight tried to find an opening, but the monster was just way too fast for her to get a clear shot. Out of nowhere, Mesagog came flying and took her down with a devastating attack. She hit the ground with an audible ‘thud’ and clenched her left wing.
“TWILIGHT!” Starlight yelled. Total anger controlled her next couple of actions. She charged her horn and galloped as fast as she could at the ugly creature. It just responded by grabing her by the horn and slammming her into the ground several times. Applejack tried to attack Mesagog, but her attempt only directed his attention to her. He held her by the mane and swung her like a mace, until her swung her at her friends. Twilight, Starlight, and now Applejack were all down for the count.
The rangers tried to go into super mode and use that to attack Mesagog. To their credit, they did manage to land a couple of strong blows that did hurt Mesagog, but he responded by using his telepathy to attack their minds. Each of the rangers slowly fell down to the ground, de-morphed and wincing in extreme pain. Rainbow tried to get up to help, but her injuries from before were too much for her to stand. Still, she had to try something; she was not going to let that thing destroy her friends.
“This is pathetic, but I can’t really be surprised. I guess it really was just a fluke when you beat me before,” Mesagog said as he began to charge his final attack. Before he could fire it, there was a blast of pure light upon him. He was forced back until he was no only out of town, but several hundred miles from town. Princess Celestia turned to see that the rangers, along with a few of her subjects were unconscious. She used her magic to levitate them one by one into the castle.
Later
Connor’s vision was blurry. He could just make out a cyan blur on top of him. His ears were also ringing very loudly, but he could still make out the words “Connor! Wake up! Please!” When his vision and hearing both came back, he realized that this was all coming from Rainbow Dash, who looked like she had been crying a bit. “What happened?” he asked her. She responded by taking him in a tight embrace. When the hug was broken, she backed away. Connor saw that his friends were just now coming to. Slowly, the events of a few hours prior had come back to him: the rock monster, Rainbow getting hurt, becoming the Triassic Ranger, using the Mezadon, facing off with Zeltrax, and unleashing Mesagog. When he remembered that last part, he hung his head in shame.
“Connor, what’s wrong?” Rainbow asked, concerned. “It’s my fault that Mesagog is out and about again. If only I had taken my time...” Connor was cut off by Celestia raising her hoof. “It is not your fault. There was nothing more you could have done to stop it,” she reasoned. After she said that, the unconscious Starlight, Twilight, and Apllejack woke up. “W-What happened?” Applejack asked. “I unleashed Mesagog on Equestria, and he kicked our butts,” Connor said. “I just said it wasn’t your fault. No matter, there’s no doubt he will be back. We need to prepare,” Celestia said. “How’d you even get rid of him?” Ethan asked. “I sensed that I could not defeat him on my own, so I pushed him far away from here,” she replied.
Trent’s mind was going in circles. They may have not had Dr. O to help them now, but they could simply unleash the full power of the Dino Gems. But if they did that, there would be no way to stop Zeltrax afterward. They could use the gem power on Zeltrax, but then they would stand less than no chance against Mesagog. There were just tooo many enemies to deal with. Then he got an idea.
“Hey Ethan, is Zeltrax currently in Ponyville?” Trent asked. “I don’t believe so. Why do you ask?” Ethan responded. “Mesagog said that after he was finished with us, he would go after Zeltrax. I was thinking that if we could get those two face to face, they would duke it out long enough for us to take them both out at once,” Trent said. “That’s a good idea, but we’d need to know where both of them are. While we can probably track Mesagog down, we have no clue where Zeltrax is,” Twilight pointed out.
“What about the Elements of Harmony?” Starlight put in. “What about them?” said Twilight. “Maybe we can combine the power of those along with your guys’ powers,” she said. “I guess it’s worth a try. Unless any of you have a better idea,” Kira said. When no one answered, she said, “Alright, let’s go get ‘em.”
The rangers and the mane six made their way across Ponyville. Strangely, there was no sign of any villains. Once they arrived at the Tree of Harmony, the mane got their elements. While Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity all had necklaces, Twilight had a crown. The minute they put on their elements, a huge swarm of Tyrannadrones appeared. There were at least a coup,e thousand. “I’ve never seen this many at once,” Connor said. “I guess Mesagog decided to pull out all the stops,” Ethan replied.
With looks of determination, everyone and everypony charged into battle, even Fluttershy and Rarity. The two of them showed no fear. The took down Tyrannadrones using Rarity’s magic and Fluttershy’s mane. They were unstoppable. Applejack was having the time of her life. She just charged and bucked at anything and everything that got near her. She even nearly bucked Starlight. Speaking of which, Starlight was doing her best to take down as many Tyrannadrones she could. At one point, she even caught herself counting. Twilight was barely thinking with how much fun she was having. Now that she could take these things down, she would take full advantage of it. She even tried out a new spell she had been working on. She lassoed several hundred Tyrannadrones together and blasted them into rubble. Rainbow Dash used her flight to cause the Tyrannadrones to get caught in a fierce wind. They all went flying as Rainbow did her Sonic Rainboom to finish them all off.
The rangers were at the top of their game. Connor used his Tyrannostaff to repeatedly slash at several Tyrannadrones. He had never felt so good fighting these things. He even borrowed a technique from Trent by running past them repeatedly while striking them down. Ethan used his shield to push back several Tyrrandrones into each other. Their clumsiness pretty much finished them off from there. He used his Dino Power to block attacks and deal his own. Eventually, he resorted to throwing his shield at a large group. Kira was using her daggers to continuously slash at enemies. They wouldn’t stop attacking her, but she stood her ground. The Tyrannadrones were dropping like flies. Kira took a deep breath and roared at any nearby enemies to finish them off. Trent was using his saber to quickly slash at anything near him. The enemy didn’t even know what hit them until they were on the ground. He used his usual attack to take down whatever he saw was left. The enemy didn’t stand a chance.
Once the Tyrannadrones were reduced to just a normal swarm, the rangers drew their blasters and finished them off. “Let’s give the same treatment to Mesagog,” Connor said. “I wouldn’t be too cocky, red ranger,” said the eerie whisper from before. Everyone turned to see Mesagog was now here to finish what he had started. “You do not stand a chance against me. This isn’t even my final form,” Mesagog taunted. “If you think he’s ugly now, wait ‘till he finished his transformation,” Connor whispered to Rainbow.
Mesa got slightly increased in size. His claws grew to at least three feet long. His neck grew by a couple feet as well. To finish his transformation, his head became bigger and his teeth stuck out. Mesagog was now in the same form he had used to nearly destroy the rangers back on Earth, and it was disgusting.
“Let’s show this guy everything we’ve got,” Trent said. With that, he, Kira, and Ethan started their transformation into their Super Dino Mode. Connor, however, pulled out the Shield of Triumph and used it to once again become the Triassic Ranger. All four of them charged into battle in hopes to finish off Mesagog, once and for all. They were a lot more equally matched than before. Trent was able to use his blades to block Mesagog’s oncoming attacks. He tried to use them to attack, but Mesagog blocked his attempts. Kira used her wing suit to get above Mesagog and attack from above. She threw her daggers at him, causing him to direct his attention to her. This gave Ethan the opportunity to give a hard thrust using his shield. Mesa got fell over and attempted to attack using his tail. Trent used his speed to get Ethan out of the tail’s way, and slashed at Mesagog with his saber. Mesagog had enough. He used his powers to lift Trent, Ethan, and Kira into the air. Before he could do any real damage, Connor attacked his. With the power of the shield, Connor was able to block all of Mesagog’s attacks. He even was able to land his own attack.
“If we’re gonna do this, we’ve gotta do it now!” Twilight told the Rangers. “Right, let’s put ‘em together guys!” Connor said. He, Ethan, and Kira combined their weapons and held up the Z-Rex blaster and aimed it at Mesagog. Trent began building energy in his blades as he did before. Twilight and the other ponies focused as their Elemis began to glow. “Impossible!You cannot defeat me!” Mesagog tried to warn. But the rangers and the ponies unleashed all of their attacks at once. They all hit hard at Mesagog, and he finally fell down and exploded. “WE DID IT!” Connor cheered as he and the others all began to celebrate, and he pulled Rainbow into a hug. Rainbow couldn’t help but blush at the action.
Before any,ore could be done, however, Mesagog arose once again from the clearing smoke. “I told you that you couldn’t beat me,” he taunted. He then started to grow. He was now as tall as the zords. “Are the zords even strong enough to beat this guy?” Trent asked. “Well, we’re about find out,” Kira replied. With that, the rangers called upon every zord they had: the tyrannozord, the tricerazord, the pterzord, the dragozord, the stegozords, and pefalazord, the dimetrezord, and the Mezadon. They tyrranozord combined with the tricerazord, the pterozord, and the dimetrezord, while the dragon zord combined with the stegozord and the pefalazord. The Mezadon folded up and got into its battle mode. The three newly formed Megazords now stood face to face with Mesagog.
Kira and Ethan threw the terra-boomerang to start the fight, and Mesagog blocked it. He then attacked with his own beam, sending them flying back. Trent tried to attack with the pefalazord, but Mesagog caught it and began slashing away at Trent’s Megazord. Connor attacked with his axes and got Mesagog to release his grip on Trent. He then began to attack head on. Mesagog took a single shot before countering with his claws.
On the ground, the ponies were watching the fight unfold. “Isn’t there some way we can help them?” Rainbow asked. “Not u less Twilight knows a spell that can make us grow to THAT size. I know I don’t,” Starlight replied. “I’m afraid I don’t know any growth spells, girls. They’re on their own,” Twilight put in. Rainbow hated the thought of just being on the sidelines, especially because of her newly developed feelings for Connor.
The rangers tried their best to attack without being attacked, but Mesagog was just too strong. He would strike anything down as soon as it got in range. Kira and Ethan tried the saw, but Mesagog wouldn’t give them enough time to get it up to speed.
Unknown by all, Zeltrax appeared on a mountain with a remote in his hand. All he needed to do was press the button and his plan would finally come to be. He decided to wait just a minute to see if the rangers could pull off an upset on Mesagog. After all, this would be the last fight of their lives. He waited for a few more minutes until he activated his remote. He felt a huge wave of energy flow through him as a force field formed around him. He had to build the last beacon into his own armor to activate all of them.
Twilight looked over and saw Zeltrax. “Maybe, there is something we can do. Look over there,” Twilight said. The others looked saw Zeltrax. “We have to stop whatever he’s doing,” Rainbow said. She flew at him, ready to take him down for good. But when she went to attack, she was stopped short of him. She hit the force field that formed. Twilight tried to blast him with her magic, but she was met with the same result.
Back at the battle, Mesagog was ready to finish the rangers. He charged his final strike when something opened up behind him. He looked back to see what it was, and he saw a black hole forming. He tried to escape, but the black hole sucked him into it. He fell in and was instantly destroyed. The rangers saw what was happening and panicked. “We have to close that thing!” Connor said. “How? If we get too close to it, we’ll be sucked in too,” said Trent. And sure enough, the zords were being pulled toward the black hole. “We have to abandon!” Kira shouted. “No! We can’t!” replied Ethan. “If we don’t, we’re history,” Connor said as he jumped out of the Mezadon. Trent quickly followed suit and got out of his Megazord. “We have to go! There’s nothing we can do from in here!” Kira tried to reason with Ethan. “Fine!” Ethan said as he and Kira abandoned the Megazord.
Once they hit the ground, the rangers saw their pilotless Zoroaster slowly, helplessly being dragged into the black hole. Once they finally fell in, they all broke down and started yelling in rage and sadness. Then, Trent saw the ponies trying to attack Zeltrax, but they were being stopped by some sort of force field. He also saw energy flowing through Aeltrax and into the black hole. “Guys! Maybe if we can push Zeltrax in, the black hole will close,” said told his fellow rangers. Connor looked up and saw what Trent was talking about. “But how are we gonna get past that shield?” he asked. Right after he did, the Dino Gems began to glow brighter than ever before. “I think I just figured out how,” Ethan said. “You don’t think...” Kira said. “Yeah, we have to throw our Dino Gems at him,” Ethan replied. “But what if we miss,” Trent said. “We;re just gonna have to make it so that we can’t miss,” Connor said with a determined face.
The four of them began to approach Zeltrax as gravity began to give way to the black hole. Zeltrax was still fighting the mane six, so he didn’t see the rangers approaching. Once the rangers got close enough, they all powered down. The grabbed their Dino Gems and took aim at Zeltrax. “We’ve only got one shot at this,” Connor said as he and his friends exchanged glances. Rainbow looked over and saw what they were doing. She told Twilight and the others to get out of the way as the rangers let their Dino Gems fly. Zeltrax turned to see what was happening, and the gems broke through his force field. They made contact with him and he was forced back. He was instantly caught in the suction of the black hole. He flailed his arms, trying to grab onto something, but he was inevitably pulled into the black hole along with the Dino Gems.
Once everything calmed down, Twilight and the others approached the now ex-rangers. “I can’t believe you guys gave up your powers to save us,” she said, sympathetically. “Like I said, it’s our job,” said Connor, sounding a little down. “Yeah, we’re always supposed to put the safety of others before our own,” Kira complied. “But it’s not fair. You guys lose your powers just so we can keep ours? What kind of deal is that?” Starlight said. “She’s right. We can’t just let you go on, powerless. What kind of friends would that make us?” Rainbow added. “Sometimes, life just isn’t fair, especially for Power Rangers,” Trent said. “It’s fine though. We came here to beat Zeltrax and we did that. We also beat Mesagog, again,” said Ethan. “At least let us thank you, for real,” said Twilight. “You know what? I’m down for that,” said Connor, getting his enthusiasm back. “Then let’s get back to town,” said Twilight.
Later
“Citizens of Ponyville, we gather together today to formally thank the Power Rangers for their service here. Not just today, but ever since they arrived. They even went so far as to willingly giving up their own powers to protect us. For that, we are forever in your debt: Connor the red ranger, Ethan the blue ranger, Kira the yellow ranger, and Trent the white ranger.” Princess Celestia finished her speech and stepped down from the podium as the citizens lined up and started to thank the Power Rangers, one by one.
After that was all over, a flash of light appeared and showed Earth on the other side. “I guess that means it’s time to go,” Trent said. “I didn’t really ever think of what would happen after we defeated Zeltrax,” Connor confessed. “Yeah, I have to agree. A part of me doesn’t even want to go,” said Kira, beginning to tear up. “It’s okay. You belong on Earth more than you belong here in Equestria,” Twilight said, also trying to avoid breaking down crying. “We’ll never forget you guys,” Connor said. “Keep throwing your crazy parties, Pinkie,” said Trent. “Keep learning as much as you can about friendship, Starlight,” said Kira. “Keep taking care of your animals, Fluttershy,” said Ethan. “Keep making your clothes, Rarity. You did a really good job with ours,” said Connor. “We will. And we hope that you will always keep in mind that even though you don’t have your powers, you are still Power Rangers. In both your hearts and ours,” said Twilight.
With that, the rangers turned toward the portal and began to move through it. Trent was the first to go. Kira followed suit, and so did Ethan. Connor walked up to it and took a deep breath. Before he could, he turned back toward Rainbow Dash, and he took her in a tight embrace. “I wish you didn’t have to go,” she whispered in his ear, returning the embrace. “Honestly, so do I. But I have to, I don’t belong here,” he whispered back as a tear rolled down cheek and onto the back of Rainbow’s mane. Before he broke the hug, he did one more crazy thing: he kissed Rainbow on her cheek. This made Rainbow’s heart melt completely. Connor’s face was heating up from blushing so hard. With that, he finally walked up to the portal, gave one last wave goodbye, and walked through. “I’m really gonna miss them,” said Starlight. “We all are,” Twilight responded.
Earth
Once he stepped through, Connor saw the old Cyberspace Cafe. It was still nighttime, just like when they had been taken to Equestria. “You did it didn’t you? You kissed her?” was the first thing Ethan said to him. “What? Who?” Connor responded. “Rainbow Dash,” Kira said. “Why would you think that?” “Dude, we’ve seen the way you’ve been looking at her. It was pretty obvious you two had something for each other,” said Trent. “Ok, fine. Yes, I kissed her. So what?” Connor said. “Nothing, we just wanted to fill in the gap of why you took so long,” said Ethan.
“Whatever. Seriously though, I’m gonna miss them. Not just Rainbow, all of them,” Connor said. “Of course you are. We all are,” said Kira. “So, you guys think we should tell Dr. O about this?” asked Trent. “Nah,” Connor said.

The story is finally done. This was my very first story, so tell me what you thought in the comments. This was a ton of fun to write. I’ve seen a lot of Power Rangers crossovers on this site, but surprisingly not a proper Dino Thunder crossover. And even more interestingly, not a crossover involving Starlight Glimmer. Back into action (part one)
On the way to Sugarcube corner, Kira, Ethan, and Connor were getting nervous looks from every unicorn, earth pony, and pegasus alike. They were becoming nervous and all exchanged nervous glances.
Twilight caught this and said, “It’s fine. There’s no doubt the other locals will be afraid of you,but they’ll come around as long as you’re friendly towards them.”
“Thanks Twilight,” Connor said. He was still becoming used to being one of the first humans in a world full of ponies.
Kira, on the other hand, was much less skeptic. “So, what exactly is ‘Sugarcube Corner’? Is it a restaurant, a bakery, or what?” Twilight thought about this for a moment.
“I suppose it’s more of a bakery than anything. I’ve never seen anyone leave with anything other than cake, pie, or some other baked good. After all, Pinkie Pie does help run it.”
Ethan smiled, thinking of that pink, crazy party pony. He had also taken a liking to Equestria. It was like being sucked into that video game that one time, just with nicer locals and no cheat codes to go after.
Once arriving at Sugarcube Corner, a strong smell of pastries being made hit the three humans in the face.
“That smells amazing!” exclaimed Connor.
“It almost always smells like this. Just wait until you try the food here. We get used to it pretty quick, but the first time trying it was awesome,” said Rainbow Dash.
Also sitting at Sugarcube Corner was Starlight Glimmer, who had full recovered from her encounter with Zeldrax.
“Hey, who’re your new friends?” she asked.
“This is Connor, Ethan, and Kira,” Twilight said. “They’ll be dealing worth that creature from now on, so don’t get any ideas for revenge.”
Starlight drooped a little. She would have like nothing more but to get even with that creep.
“It’s nice to meet you, said Kira, reaching out a hand.
“You too,” said Starlight, returning the hoof/handshake. “Just out of curiosity, how do you plan to fight that thing if the Magic of Friendship wasn’t even enough to beat him?”
Ethan explained once again about their histories as Power Rangers and that their powers come from their Dino Gems.
“That’s unlike anything I’ve ever heard before,” Starlight replied.
“I know right! Just think of the research!” Twilight exclaimed, clearly excited.
“Woah, calm down there Twi. Why don’t you just let them get settled in before overwhelming them with questions,” Applejack said.
“Beside, they probably wouldn’t understand a word you said,” said Rainbow Dash. “No offense, it’s just that Twilight has her own egghead-ish languange sometimes.”
“Trust me, I know just how you feel,” Connor replied. As uncomfortable as he was, he was taking a slight liking to the rainbow maned pegasus.
All of the sudden, Pinkie Pie came rushing out from the back of the shop. “Heyguyswhatsupdoyouwantcakeiwantcakesorrybutimstillworkingonthatpartyforyouguysberightback!”
“Is she always like that?” Ethan questioned, a little concerned for the pink pony.
“Yeah, you get used to after a while,” Starlight replied.
Just then, there was a number of screams that could be heard outside, followed by a loud blast of some sort.
“Zeldrax is back!” Connor exclaimed.
“Let’s go get him,” Ethan said.
“Wait. We don’t even know if we can morph! What if we go out there and we’re powerless!” Kira yelled before the guys could get out there.
“Well, we have to do something. We can’t just let Zelda’s destroy the entire town!” Connor tried to explain.
“Dude, Kira’s right. We should make sure we can morph before we fight,” Ethan replied.
“Okay fine, but we gotta hurry.”
“What do y’all mean by ‘morph’?” Aplplejack asked.
“You’ll see. You may want to stand back.”
The ponies did so and the three humans closed their eyes.
The girls began to exchange nervous looks as the humans began to concentrate all of their energy on their Dino Gems. As they did, the gems began to glow along with the humans themselves. When they opened their eyes, they looked at their wrists and saw that their old morphers had appeared. “Alright! Let’s do this!” Connor exclaimed.
“Dino Thunder! Power up!” the three shouted in unison. Then, in a blinding flash of fire and dealing roar of unknown beasts, standing in the place of the three humans were three creatures wearing red, blue, and yellow suits with white triangle patterns. On the head was what looked like a helmet, but covered the entire head, with a black visor covering where the eyes were supposed to be.
“Connor? Ethan? Kira? Is that you? What happened?” Twilight asked as she slowly gained her vision back.
“It’s us Twilight. We’ve morphed into our Ranger mode and now we’re ready to fight. Let’s get out there and show ‘em what we’re made of!” the one in the red suit said, sounding like Connor.
The Rangers ran outside to face the danger and found that it was nothing more than a couple of Tyranadrones.
“That’s it? I thought for sure Zeldrax was gonna go big,” said Ethan.
“Who says this will be all?” Kira replied.
“Let’s just take these guys out. The anticipation is killing me!” Connor said, wanting to fight already.
With that, the Rangers drew their blades and charged towards the enemies.
Once they met, the Rangers began slashing and striking at the monsters, taking them down like they were nothing. Connor was so excited to be fighting, he started slashing so hard that we was taking out five enemies per swing. It felt great to be back in action again.
As for Ethan, he took a slightly more defensive approach to the situation. He invited the enemy to get in close only to swoop in and bring them down. Eventually, the adrenaline got to him, and he started attacking head on.
Meanwhile, Kira was taking her time to enjoy this. She was using her major speed advantage to get around her enemies and strike them down. Every now and then, and enemy would try to get her from above, but she just rose her blaster and took them out. She was having just as much fun as the guys.
Once all of the Tyranadrones were defeated, the mane six approached the Rangers. “That. Was. AWESOME! The way you swung your swords around and blasted them like they were mannequins was totally awesome!” Rainbow Dash yelled, the adrenaline getting to her as well.
“I’ve never seen a fighting style like that before, even when I went to Earth. When we encountered those things, it took us forever to get rid of them. But you did it just like that!” Twilight said, clearly impressed.
While all of this was going on, Fluttershy was hiding in the highest tree she could find, furthest away she could get from the action. Last time she saw those, she was scared out of her mind, and this time wasn’t any better. She peeked out from her hiding place to make sure it was safe. Once she confirmed it was, she slowly floated down, still shaking in fear. She looked around and when she didn’t see anything that resembled danger, she let out a sigh. Unfortunately for her, a voice spoke up from behind her, “It’s okay. I’m only here to capture you.”
Fluttershy let out a scream that old be heard all the way to the other end of Ponyville. What stood in front of her was a green, scaly, glowing eyed beast with claws at least three inches long and a smile that would haunt almost anypony’s nightmares. She tried to run, but she was frozen in fear.The monster began to approach her, and that was enough to kick her back into gear. She ran as fast as she could to Ponyville until she saw her friends standing with three creatures wearing color-coded suits. She hid behind Twilight still shaking in fear. “What’s wrong Fluttershy?” Twilight asked.
“I think that thing has something to do with it,” Rarity said nervously, pointing to the monster that had scared Fluttershy.
“You girls better get somewhere safe. We’ll handle this,” Connor said. The mane six nodded and ducked behind a couple of bushes, Fluttershy being the first on there.
“It’s okay darling, they’ll take care of it,” Rarity said, trying to calm her down.
Back in the street of Ponyville, the Rangers began their standoff with the monster. “Let’s do this guys,” Connor said glancing at his friends.

I know it’s bad, but you have to admit that it’s better that Bogglesworth) I’m not sure how to keep going. So leave a comment on how I should keep going and I might just go with your idea. One thing though, no Tommy Oliver. I know you love him, so do I, but no. I probably won’t be including Tommy in this story, not by popular demand anyway. Sorry.

Reign of terror (part one (still))
Back at the castle, Twilight and the others were trying to figure out a way to beat Terrorsaurus, save for Pinkie who was still upset about her party getting crashed. “How did you guys beat him last time?” Rainbow asked. “The first time, we had an artifact called the Shield of Triumph, which made us stronger. But we weren’t able to bring that over. The second time, it was Dr. O that beat him, but he isn’t here now,” Ethan responded.
“Well, I don’t know if you guys noticed, but he was a lot more beatable after the sun went down,” Starlight said. “Now that I think about it, you’re right. At first I thought it was just because of our super Dino Mode, but you were able to take him too,” Ethan said. “So are you guys saying that his power came from the sun?” Connor asked. He was just half-heartedly listening. “Well, it’s a start. If that’s true though, we might need to talk to Princess Luna,” Twiilight said. “Isn’t she the princess of the moon?” Kira asked. “Yeah. She raises the moon every night,” Twilight said.
“Hold on, what are y’all suggesting? That we get her to keep the moon up until that thing is destroyed?” Applejack asked. “No, but I don’t know. We just need some sort of lead to beat that thing,” Starlight replied. “Maybe we can ambush him somehow when the moon rises?” Kira suggested. “That might work, but we don’t know where he is,” Connor said. “I completely forgot about that,” Ethan said. “What do you mean?” Kira asked. “Terrorsaurus might not have used an invisiportal to get in, but he did use one to escape. I should be able to track him using my laptop,” Ethan said. “You do that, we’ll keep trying to figure out a way to beat him,” Twilight said.
Ethan walked out of the throne room to get his laptop. He turned it on, and turned the frequency to the stakes he put around Ponyville. Sure enough, there was a signal leading to somewhere else. He got it to show up on a mapped out format and took his computer back to the throne room.
“I got a trace of where he went. I don’t know the name of the location, I have a pretty good idea of where it is. Do one of you think you could identify this place?” Ethan said. Twilight brought up the friendship map and took a look at the laptop. Starlight took a look as well, but when she saw the other end of the signal, she gasped. “What’s wrong?” Connor asked. “That thing teleported to my old village!” Starlight exclaimed.
