The Princess And The Nerd Part 1
In Canterlot Academy. A unicorn name Sunset Shimmer was walking through the halls with her friends Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk. They were a unique bunch. A Pegasus name Flash Sentry was looking at them and decided to do something fun. He lifted his hoof a little making Sonata trip on her hooves along with her friends with her making everypony in the school laugh at them.
"Hope you had a nice trip, Sonata". Flash said as he laugh.
Sonata pop her head up while her glasses was balancing on her muzzle.
"Did someone say my name?". Sonata asked.
"Oh! here, let me help you up".
An alicorn helped them get up on their hooves and Sunset couldn't help but blush. The mare look absolutely beautiful.
"I'm afraid all of your books are a mess,. Would you like me to help you?".
"durp?....". Sunset said while shaking a little.
She was nervous. She haven't seen a mare this attractive in all of life.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle and you are?".
"I'm.... Su-Sunset Shim-mmer".
"Wow! that's a pretty name".
Sunset smiled nervously. The school bell rang and everypony were walking to their classrooms.
"Twilight!, come on we'll be late for class".
"Okay!, well I don't wanna be late. See you later Sunset".
Princess Twilight started to walk towards her friends. Sunset sighed dreamily while her friends looked at her confusedly.
"I think she likes me!". Sunset said as her eyes had shimmered.
"Your an idiot Sunset". Aria said as she picks up her math book.
Twilight however was blushing while she had that cute smile. She was thinking of Sunset, the beautiful nerd she had help.
She looks so attractive, she looks like the shimmering sun!. I hope she ask me out for the dance before Flash.
LATER THAT DAY
"Hey Adagio?, is there any more apples left? Sonata, roll for damage". Aria asked while she was looking at the guide.
"Yep! Here you go". Adagio said
"Oh. . . I rolled a 9. That's not good. Is my elf-pegaus still live Aria?". Sonata asked worriedly.
"You won't like this Sonny, you've been taken a blast at the flank by a powerful wizard. Your elf won't be sitting down for a week!".
Sonata glared at Aria.
"She can't sit, she can't use magic spells!. your out to get me".
"More like the game is out to get you. Sunset Shimmer what's your move". Aria asked as she look at the amber unicorn.
Sunset was daydreaming about the princess again. She haven't stop thinking about her lately after she had help her from the incident.
"Ssssssuuuunnnssset Shiiimmmmmeeeer? You with us? we need our knight". Aria said.
"huh?!... wha?". Sunset asked when she had snapped out of her thoughts.
Sonata turned to Adagio confused.
"Is Shimsham okay?". Sonata asked.
"I think somepony is still thinking of a certain alicorn princess who has blue eyes". Adagio said annoyed.
"Her eyes are violet". Sunset corrected Adagio.
"I rest my case" Adagio said before she sighed.
Sunset looked at her friends seriously before stomping her left hoof at the table making them look at her.
"I've made a decision!".
"Is it to open the treasure chest?. You need to wait for Aria's protective spell". Sonata said.
"Not that, I'm going to ask Twilight to the dance!". Sunset said.
"Good luck with that romeo". Adagio said as she rolled her eyes.
"Sunset!, Princess Twilight is the most popular mare in Canterlot Academy. We know your a cool mare but think about the consequences buddy!". Aria said because she was worried for her friend.
"We're meant for each other, I'm sure of it Aria!".
"Don't under estimate everything Shimmer".
"She's perfect girls!. Me and Her will be living in a castle I can tell!".
Adagio along with Aria and Sonata sighed and puts their hoof on their forehead.
"You're freaking serious about this?". Adagio asked.
"I vow to Princess Celestia that I, Sir Sunset Shimmer will win the princess's heart!". Sunset said bravely.
"You don't need to do a vow, we get the idea!". Aria said.
Aria removed everything off the table and replace it with a paper.
"What are you doing?". Sonata asked.
"Making the plan". Aria said as she levitated the quill to write on the paper.
"Are you sure this is going to work?, I don't know Aria. This might end up a disaster". Adagio said
"We are doing this for our friend". Aria said determinedly
"Well according to our reputation at school. I can tell everypony will laugh at us". Sonata said.
Aria raised her hoof in the middle and look at her friends. Adagio and Sonata put their hooves on top of Aria's. They looked to Sunset to see she was daydreaming again.
"SHIMMER!".
"Wha?".
Sunset looked at her friends and smile before putting her hoof at on top.
"Let's get Shimmer's dream mare!". Adagio declared.
"For love!". Sunset shouted.
"For nerds everywhere!". Sonata shouted.
"For everypony who reached the stars". Aria said.
"Isn't that a bit much?".
"I like drama Sonny". Aria said as she winked at Sonata making her blush.
LATER THAT WEEK
"I'm so glad that you brought me Twilight's flyer, sunshine! She was free tonight to foal-sit your little brother!'. Celestia said as she was fixing Sunset's tie.
Sunglare looked to his big sister from his book.
"Your face is funny whenever you talk about her". Sunglare said.
They heard a knock on the door and Celestia walked towards it.
"She's here!". Princess Celestia announced.
Celestia opened the door to reveal Princess Twilight Sparkle. She was shock to see that Sunset's mother was the princess herself.
"Princess Celestia, so glad to see you!".
"Well hello Twilight. My daughter always talks about you". Celestia said and smiled as she heard her daughter groan in annoyance.
"I didn't know Sunset's a princess!".
"She rather keep it a secret, I told the others that I'm her guardian".
"I'm looking forward to foal sit Sunglare princess!".
"Sunglare, be a good colt to your foal sitter okay?".
"Okay Mom".
"Remember sweetie, we're going home late. Sunshine wants to go to the ice cream shop after the recital or she'll get all cranky-wanky".
"Hehehe crank-wanky". Sunglare said as he giggled making Twilight giggle as well.
Discord fixed his outfit and got beside Princess Celestia while Sunset followed her parents. Sunset built her confidence and look at Twilight.
"HE-HELLO!". Sunset said as she trotted away happily.
Nailed It!!. Sunset said in her mind happily.
Smooth move sis. Sunglare said in his mind sarcastically.
Could she be more adorable?. Twilight thought daydreaming about Sunset being her knight.
"Miss Twilight-".
Twilight grabbed Sunglare's shoulders and lifting him up to her eye level. She had a determined look on her face.
"Okay Sunglare Shimmer, first off.... you're going to tell me every piece of information about your big sister. After that, we will make cookies and have the best night ever!. Agree?".
"Oh... okay... wait what?".
Sunglare got off Twilight's grip and gagged.
"You're in love with my sister?". Sunglare asked.
"Well I.... yes. will you help me?". Twilight ask.
Sunglare gestured the alicorn princess to follow him to the fire place of the castle. He stop and look at her seriously showing her some papers, makers, and a chart.
"That depends.... are you ready to notes about her likes and dislikes?. Compare your popularity with hers?. Is your paper wide ruled or academy ruled?". Sunglare ask.
Twilight leaned closer to Sunglare with a determined look on her face.
"I have 20 different colors of paper for my label maker. I always have my abacus with me just in case if I need to calculate percentage on a chart. Wide-ruled papers are for foals. Let's do this". Flare said
Sunglare smirked.
"Twilight, I think you and me will getting along with each other".
LATER
"That's it!, we're perfect for each other!. I'm going to make Sunset my special somepony!". Twilight said as she looked at the results.
"All the data we had collected seems to point a happily ever after". Sunglare said while looking at the chart.
Twilight looked at Sunglare seriously.
"Sunglare, please promise me that you'll never tell this to Sunset Shimmer".
"I swear". Sunglare said.
"Would you do the kindgarten oath not to tell?". Twilight asked.
Sunglare sighed and started to recite the oath.
"Sunshine sunshine lady bugs awake, clap you hooves and do a little shake".
Twilight smiled and bump her flank with Sunglare which made him happy.
THE NEXT DAY
"How did last night go?". Aria asked as they were going to the storage where the floats to introduce the lucky stallions to be the prince of the fall formal.
"You mean the recital?. I totally rocked it!". Sunset said happily.
"Not that. Did you talk to her?". Aria ask before opening the door.
"Oh! That?. yeah.... I did!". Sunset said.
"That's great". Adagio said as she smiled.
They all entered the storage area and they were all looking at the floats. They started to walk.
"We finished building up your float". Aria said.
"We're going to put you in the spotlight". Sonata said.
Sunset looked at the float and shrunk in embarrassment.
"This seems. . . cool". Sunset said hesitatingly.
It was a ridiculous float she can tell. The theme of her float was the fantasy board game they always play after school.
"I.... that's something". Sunset said as she look down.
"And there are costumes for us to wear too!". Sonata said excitedly.
"Oh... we're all going to the float. I'm glad I'm going to suffer with you guys". Sunset said sadly.
"Come on!, we need to practice our song". Aria said.
"I wrote it myself". Sonata said.
Sunset can tell that this won't end well.
LATER
"THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!". Aria said excitedly.
This is a terrible idea
Sunset peeked outside and saw Princess Twilight with her friends and Flash Sentry with his friends.
"There she is!. Aw man, she's with Flash!. I hate that guy".
"You should... I heard his going to ask Princess Twilight to the dance". Sonata said.
Sunset gritted her teeth while she applied a black paint on her cheeks.
"Let's do this thing".
Meanwhile with Twilight. She noticed that Flash was about to put his arm around her but Twilight stopped him. She wanted Sunset beside her.
"Oh no Flash. I.... have um.... just did my mane. don't want to mess it up, you know". Twilight said as she put Flash's hoof at the ground.
"I do know!, It takes time to do the perfect mane style. You totally get me Twilight". Flash said with a smirk on his face.
Flash looked at Twilight.
"You know princess, I'm planning on making every goal at the buck ball match for you...".
Lemon Heart gasp and pointed with her hoof at the float she had saw making everyone look at the direction as well.
"Who the hay is that?!".
Sunset was levitating the mic while her friends were playing their instruments.
"I love mares with lavender mane!. They make me feel good!. I love double colored hair cause they make me so bad!. When their around me, they make me feel like the only mare in equestria!. I love mares with lavender mane cause they make me feel so good!". Sunset sing determinedly.
"What the...". Flash looked at Twilight to see she was blushing at Sunset.
Twilight cried in happiness and clap her hooves together. Sunset noticed Twilight and smiled at her nervously making Twilight blush a little and smile. Flash noticed this and smirk.
Heh. No way that stunt would work. I'm going to be fall formal king. Geek!
"Geeks!. What a bunch of Geeks!. haha". Flash said as he pointed at Sunset and her friends.
Everypony laughed at them while Twilight glared at Flash.
"That wasn't very nice!". Twilight said angrily.
"What?, I'm just having a laugh. Your still going to the buck ball match right?". Flash ask.
Sunset looked up to Twilight almost wanted to cry. The float they were using suddenly to break making everypony laugh more expect for Twilight who was worried about Sunset. Sunset walked away with her friends while she looked down in embarrassment.
"They didn't like our performance". Sonata said sadly.
"No ones going to vote for me as fall formal king". Sunset sighed sadly.
Aria pointed Sunset's chest angrily while looking at her furiously making Sunset scared.
"You want to win the princess's heart right?!".
"More than anything!".
Aria pointed at Flash angrily.
"You got a dragon to slay buddy".
They did everything they can to make Flash look ridiculous in the game but they have tried everything and they had failed. Twilight was holding Flash's jacket while looking around to see if she can find Sunset.
I'm just going to ask Sunset myself. She really looks like a prince when she wore that prince outfit. I hope me and her will have a happy ending.
"Sunset Shimmer looks shimmering in her outfit don't you agree Flare?".
"I heard from my sister that Sunset's going to ask somepony to go to the dance!".
Twilight was shock to hear that. She was thinking that rumor can't be true. Sunset Shimmer saw Twilight and wanted to ask her out but the crowd was blocking her way. She tried to call Twilight's attention but the crowd was to loud. She saw Flash walking towards Twilight and her friends.
"Twilight, I was hoping that you would go to the dance with me?". Flash asked.
"Of course she will!".
"Well its true... nopony had asked me... But I was hoping one pony would...". Twilight said sadly.
"Right! You were waiting for me!". Flash said as he wrapped his jacket around Twilight.
"I'll pick you up at 8". Flash said as he walked away to be with his friends.
"You're so luck to go to the dance with him Twilight!".
"Oh dear...". Twilight said.
But.... the chart, the list!. Me and Sunset are perfect for each other!.
Sunset felt her heart broken to a million pieces when Twilight had accepted Flash. She walked away with her head down.
No wedding day smiles,no walk down the aisle. No flowers, no wedding dress.
The Princess And The Nerd Part 2
AT TWILIGHT'S HOUSE
"You're so lucky Twilight! Flash is the most popular colt at the academy". Lemon Heart said.
"Lemon Heart. . . don't you think his mean to Sunset?". Twilight ask.
"My Mom always tells me that personality traits you don't like in stallions can be fix, right Lyra?".
"Of course!".
Lyra went to the door where the dress was hanging on the knob.
"How about this dress? It matches Flash's cutie mark!".
Twilight sighed and closed her eyes.
"I have a confession to make girls".
"What is it?".
"I'm not going to the fall formal with him". Twilight said while looking away.
Lyra and Lemon gasp. They were shock about the princess's decision.
"But. . . Flash's cute!". Lyra said.
"And the captain of the buck ball team!". Lemon said.
"But his not for me. . . I like Sunset Shimmer! She's my pick for my special somepony". Twilight said.
She imagine Sunset in a prince costume while she look shimmering from the sun. Her friends then went to the chest to grab their make up kit. Twilight looked at her friends.
"What? did I say something wrong?". Twilight ask as she look at her friends.
"Twilight. Your a beautiful princess. You can have anypony. . . are you sure you want to waste your time with Sunset Shimmer?. Really, of all the ponies in equestria you chose her?. who's next? her friend with glasses?". Lyra said.
"I can kind of see it. She's cute but Flash's more cuter than her". Lemon said as she fixes her mane.
Twilight levitated the paper and the chart that she and Sunglare had made to see if she and Sunset were a perfect match.
"No. Sunset's the one for me and nopony else. I can tell that she and I will be living in a castle". Twilight said dreamily.
Still her friends aren't buying it. Twilight then toss the picture of Flash to them.
"Look at this way. With Flash in the market. . . one of you can have him". Twilight said annoyingly.
"Sunset it is!". said Lyra while trying to get Flash's picture out of Lemon's grip.
MEANWHILE WITH SUNSET
"Okay, here goes the plan. Sunset's going to the dance while the 3 of us will go distract Flash". Aria said as she was using their avatar pieces as a demonstration.
"Sonata you will be Sunset's date". Adagio said as she pointed at Sunset who was looking at the princess avatar.
"Say what now? Can't Aria do it?". Sonata asked.
"Sorry but you're more suitable for that rule". Aria said.
"Fine". Sonata said finally giving up.
"Look, we failed miserably for trying to get Shimmer to be fall formal king. that's out!. We're going to do everything we can to show Flash's true colors to the princess. Its a piece of cake". Aria said while levitating the dragon avatar.
Aria was explaining everything to her friends about the plan to show Flash's true colors. Sunset was determined to win Princess Twilight's heart. While they were disguising the plan, Sunset wore a black tux with a red tie in it. She puts a yellow flower on her tux to look presentable. Twilight wore a blue sparkling dress that fits for a princess (recall of MLP FIM Best night ever).
3 HOURS LATER
"Wow Twilight! you look absolutely stunning tonight". Twilight Velvet said said.
"Thank you mom". Twilight asked.
"I heard you have date". Shining Armor said as he did his best to do the over protective brother role.
Twilight rolled her eyes in annoyance not because of her brother, its because of Flash. They saw the door had swing open and saw Flash in a tux.
"Well hello Mrs. Sparkle!, can I call you Velvet cause I'm dating your daughter after all?". Flash ask.
He walked away with Twilight but Twilight's mom whispered on her ear.
"Ditch him the first chance you get".
Twilight nodded happily and followed Flash.
WITH SUNSET SHIMMER
"Oooooh my ray of sunshine looks shimmering tonight!". Princess Celestia said happily while wiping Sunset's cheeks.
"Its to bad that your date isn't here". Discord said as he fixes the camera.
"Yeah. . . to bad". Sunset said.
Sunglare went up to Sunset's leg and hugs it.
"I overheard your plans and I just wanna say good luck. Twilight is really amazing. I'm sure she likes you too!".
Sunset smiled and hugged her little brother tightly.
"Aw thanks Sunglare. Heh, I'm so nervous. I could use some insider information about now". Sunset said.
Sunglare was trying to get off his sister's grip.
"Yep. I'm sure you could". Sunglare said as he remember the oath that he and Twilight did.
".... And then this summer my mommy dearest would just love you to go with us on our hot air balloon ride. She was simply thrilled when I told her I had ask you to the dance".
Twilight was really annoyed. Flash is really getting on her nerves, she wished Sunset was here. Everyone gasp when they saw 2 familiar ponies making Flash and Twilight look. It was Sunset Shimmer wearing a tux with a flower on it, beside her is Sonata Dusk wearing a really pretty pink dress and she wasn't wearing her glasses.
"Is that Sonata? in a dress?. She looks different now!". Flash said in shock.
"*giggles* she looks lovely".
Oh my gosh it is Sonata and she's with Sunset!, Sunset's not with anypony else!. I'm free and clear!. Twilight said in her mind excitedly.
"Listen Flash. . . ".
"Yes love?". Flash ask as he started to lean in for a kiss.
"It was really nice of you to bring me to the dance but. . .".
Twilight smiled and puts her hoof on his lips making him stop and look at her confusedly.
"But I think me and you will be just friends so bye!". Twilight said as she trotted away from him and went to Sunset's direction.
"Wait a minute. . . ". Flash whispered and had put the pieces together that. . . Twilight was in love with Sunset. THE NERD!.
"OH, I DON'T THINK SO. THAT NERD IS GOING TO GET A PIECE OF MY MIND!". Flash said furiously.
Aria was using her levitating spell on herself and she was holding a stick. She floated down to pick Flash's head and before he even turn around she use an invisible spell on herself.
"hey!". Flash said while looking around confusedly.
Sunset was looking around to admire the school gym's decoration when all of a sudden.
"Hey Sunset Shimmer".
Sunset turned around to see Princess Twilight with a flirtatious look making her gulp nervously and blush a lot.
"Hur durp werp?". Sunset said nervously cause she can't think of any words to say.
Twilight removed the rose from Sunset's tux and puts it beside her ear while looking at Sunset dreamily.
"I think, by the end of the night, I'll be able to work up on your coherent sentences".
Sunset nervously smile and still was blushing a lot.
"uh-huh".
Flash was walking towards Twilight angrily.
"Twilight!, I need to talk to you!".
Adagio was flying and had spread itching powder around Flash. Flash started to itch and scratches his body. Aria then poke Flash's head again making him annoyed.
"OH COME ON!". Flash yelled angrily.
"You look really pretty tonight Sonata". Twilight said
"Thank you princess, I was wearing fake glasses all along and I wanted to try a different look from now and then". Sonata said.
Flash eventually had made it to Twilight. He looked like a mess.
"Twilight! I want to have a few words with you!". Flash said angrily.
"Flash what happened to you?". Twilight asked.
'What happened to me? that geek's friends had happened to me!". Flash said.
"What? never!". Sunset said innocently.
"Everypony!, Its time to announce the king and queen of the fall formal".
Everypony looked at the stage to see 2 crowns on a pillow waiting for a pony to wear it.
"It won't be a surprise of who will be the queen of the fall formal. Princess Twilight!".
Twilight walked towards the stage to wear her crown. Flash smirked and looked at Sunset.
"Do you think for one second that she would pick you over me?... I'm Flash Sentry!, I'm a star in this academy!".
"As for the the fall formal king, no surprises here. Flash Sentry!".
"You're not good enough for her Sunset Shimmer. You never will be!. I'm the one who deserves a happily ever after!".
"Congratulations Flash". Said the principal as she puts the crown on Flash's head.
Flash wrapped his leg around Twilight with a smirk on his face.
"Now for our dance!".
"I don't think you're the one who deserves a happily every after!".
The crowd gasp and Flash looked at the crowd.
"Who said that".
Sunset Shimmer went in front of the crowd while looking furiously at Flash. She had enough of that pegaus's attitude towards the princess.
"I did". Sunset said.
Aria went beside Sunset glaring at Flash as well.
"Sunset Shimmer is a good pony! you're nothing but a jerk!". Aria yelled.
"Oh yeah? Well, you're just his nerd friends and nopony else agrees with you!". Flash said.
The crowd began to yell at Flash while he hid behind Twilight like a cowards.
"Sunset volunteered to tutor me in math!".
"Flash took all of my lunch money for the whole year!".
"Sunset Shimmer walks my little sister home from school!".
"Flash shoved me in the locker and I was there for days!!".
Flash smirked.
"Who cares about being nice when your good looking and good at sports?".
Twilight took the crown off of Flash while smiling.
"I do ya dumb jerk".
Twilight got off the stage and the crowd move aside leaving Sunset in the middle. Twilight puts the crown on Sunset's head and looks at her lovely.
"And I want nothing more than for Sunset Shimmer to be my special somepony".
Twilight nuzzled Sunset's cheek affectionately and Sunset blushed a lot. She smiled and nuzzled the princess head. They both were happy but Flash was shock and went to them.
"Twilight! I'm Flash Sentry! I'm the captain! I... I'm good looking than that nerd!" Flash said in shock.
Sunset wrapped her leg around Twilight and glared at Flash.
"Its over Flash". Sunset said.
"NO!, this is NOT over!. Twilight , hold on for just a minute...". Flash said.
Sunset smirked and cast a smell on Flash leaving him flying all around the gym non stop.
"Goodbye Flash!". Sunset said happily.
"What are you doing?!. stop this at once, My father is a congress pony!!". Flash yelled.
Twilight puts her hoof on Sunset's chin and tilted her head to look at her in the eyes. Sunset smiled nervously and blush making the princess blush as well.
"So... what do you think about living in a palace Sunset?". Twilight asked as she slowly started to lean in.
"How about we get through our dance? then we'll talk about palaces". Sunset said as she started to lean in as well.
They had shared their first kiss and the crowd went wild. Aria wrapped her leg around Sonata and kissed her cheek making the earth pony blush. Sunset's friends were happy for her.
"The end". Sunset and Twilight said.
They both looked at their kids. Princess Sparkling Star, Aurora Blaze, and Twilight Dawn. Aurora and Star were twins making Aurora older than Star for 5 minutes.
"That's adorable!". Sparkling Star said happily.
"I didn't even know dad was a nerd before". Aurora said.
Dawn gagged and looked away.
"What's wrong Dawny?". Sunset asked
"Colts are always jerks".
"When you grow up, you will eventually find you special somepony".
"Yeah, I bet Star and Bolt will be together". Aurora smirked.
"Oh yeah, well I saw how you look at Applejewel lately". Star said and she was satisfied to see her twin blush.
"Okay kids you have a big day tomorrow". Twilight said as she kissed their foreheads.
Sunset and Twilight went to their bedroom. They lay down on their bed and cuddled together before sharing their goodnight kiss. Twilight nuzzled Sunset's neck to feel her warmth while Sunset smiled and kiss her wife's forehead.
