Chapter 157

Perl and Magni stare up as the Titan sized beast Groudon rises from the remains of the building. As if dealing with the legend itself wasn’t bad enough, Perl takes notice of the yellow glow dancing across the thing's body and curses as the sunlight becomes far more intense.

“What’s wrong?” Magni asks in concern. “Can’t you just send out some more Pokémon against it.”

“That thing is in its primal form now,” Perl hisses as sweat immediately begins streaming down her face. “Water types, the best counter to it, are now useless since Maxie is using the Red Orb to control it! The best we can do…”

She pulls out a trio of Pokeballs and tosses them into the air. In a flash of red, Dragonite, Salamence, and Flygon appear.

“We need to take to the air,” she says as she hops on Flygon’s back. Magni nods and runs over to Salamence. Just in time to as spike began shooting from the ground and racing toward them. “Precipice Blades! Move!”

Magni and Salamence take off just in time as the jagged rock pierces the air where they were seconds ago. Magni looks over at Perl as she stares at the beast, figuring out what the hell to do.

“So what weaknesses does this thing have in the games?”

“Other Ground type Pokémon,” Perl says. “But I don’t know how well that would translate to real life. He literally can over power them with larger attacks.”

She swoops down and out of the way as a chunk of building flies by her.

“Draco Meteor!” She calls out and the three Dragons take a moment to fire a blast of energy into the sky. Magni watches in shock as a rain of energy balls shoot down to earth, impacting on the Godzilla like being’s frame…and barely making it flinch. “I knew it. In the game that would do at least a decent bit of damage but here…”

Suddenly the two of them heard rumbling and looked down. The road beneath them started glowing red hot and cracking. Eyes widening, Perl shouts out a warning and all three Dragons swerve out of the way as lava shoots up into the air. As they swerve, Magni notices something on the ground.

“Keep the beast distracted!” He calls out. Perl wants to question him, but she just nods and directs the Dragons to fly toward the head of the beast.

Down on the ground, Maxie, Courtney, and Tabitha were all ducking behind a building as they made their way away from the behemoth.

“What do we do now Maxie,” Tabitha pants as the boss looks around the corner.

“We keep away from the fight until Groudon either kills the brats or preferably weakens them enough to capture them for Tirek.”

“I don’t think so!”

The leader and admins turn and see Magni jump down as Salamence lands on the other side of the group.

“Now, I don’t know what the Helheim you guys are up to, but I do know your working against my friend and I’m not letting you get away with it.”

Maxie pushes up his glasses as Tabitha and Courtney pull out their Pokeballs.

“I’ll sorry you had to get involved with this,” Maxie sighs. “But now, we must-!”

Before he can finish however, Tabitha and Courtney cry out in pain as Magni slam them into the wall before grabbing the Pokeballs and pocketing them.

“Like I’m going to let you call out those crazy animals. Now, hand over that red orb! Or better yet that ball you kept that thing in.” Maxie growls a little before sighing and reaching into his pocket. “Good.”

“You know, considering I know you and your friend physically defeated my man earlier...did you not think I would be prepared for a brute force attack.”

Before Magni could respond, he felt a sharp pain in his neck. Reaching back, he grabs a purple, four winged bat and throws it hard onto the ground as Salamence roars and swings a claw at Maxie. Ducking the Dragon Claw, Maxie throws another Pokeball toward Magni and Mighteyna lands on the half giant. Surprising the Magma leader though, Magni stands his ground and throws the hound toward the red head. Maxie moves out of the way and Salamence grabs Mighteyna in its jaws. Before he could move again, Magni grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall.

“Give...me...the orb or I snap your neck!” Magni roars as, to Maxie’s shock, he seems to grow even bigger, the grip becoming tighter.

“I’m...dead if I fail any...way. This would...be a...mercy!”

“Fine!” Magni growls as he squeezes one last time, killing the leader instantly. His vision fading a bit, Magni pats the now dead leader down and finds a red sphere in one of his pockets. With a small bit of effort, he shatters the orb in his hands.

Perl

She might not be sure why Groudon was slightly shrinking, but she wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. As the sunlight becomes much more bearable, she flies up to one of the few remaining buildings and calls out as many water types as she could, including Mega Blastoise and Mega Swampert.

“Hydro Pump! Surf! Hit him hard!”

The Pokemon all begin firing down onto the now smaller legendary. Groudon roars in pain as the torrent of water slammed into him. It took a while, and Perl wasn’t sure how long the Pokemon could keep it up. Thankfully though, the giant beast fell. Panting and with clothing soaked through with sweat, Perl looked around.

“Magni!” she calls out. Hearing a roar from Salamence, she returns the other Pokemon and hops on Flygon to fly over. Seeing Magni on the ground, she hops down and uses a burst of air to jump over to him. “Magni! Come on....”

Using Observe, she saw he was poisoned and glancing over at the alley, she saw a Crobat laying on the ground. Nodding to herself, she pulls out an antidote and sprays the bite she found in his neck before pouring a health potion she made from Sugar’s healing frosting down his throat. Sighing in relief, she glances over at Courtney and Tabitha and makes a couple clones to take care of them. With the adrenaline running out, Perl sniffs a bit and looks down at herself.

“So gross.” She says. Looking up at Magni, a smirk forms on her face.

Later

It took a while, but eventually, Magni’s body recovers enough that he starts waking up.

“Wha...what happened? Did we…?”

Before he finishes that question, he looks up and sees a plump, barely covered ass just a little bit away. Turning to his voice, Perl reveals that she was only wearing a skimpy blue bikini with black lining as she runs over (jiggling a bit on the way) and kneels down next to him.

“Are you ok?” she asks. Magni nods dumbly as he can’t help but blatantly stare at her barely covered breasts. “Good. Thankfully the only thing that happened to me was I got sweaty. Decided to wear this until I could get washed up.”

Magni blushes but nods again in understanding. Perl looks down at him and then over at the shattered remains of the Red Orb.

“I only won because you smashed that...and you could’ve died from that poison.”

“It’s fine,” Magni says, pushing himself up a bit. “I’m fine. Besides, an honorable warrior’s death is what all in Asgard desire.”

“Well...I still owe you,” Perl smiles. “And...well… I do need a bath…”

“Do...do you mean-!?”

“I’m keeping my bottoms on at least,” she cut in immediately. “But other than that…”

She leans in and kisses him lightly on the lips.

“I think you’ve earned it.”
