Chapter 166
Scoots
Silver and Chara (who was morphed as Micro) were sitting on the couch on either side of Scoots as she started in on her explanation. She barely even got the phrase “multiple girls” out of her mouth when her father stood up.
“Absolutely not!” Snap Shutter practically roared. Mane Allgood went from looking at Scoots in shock before turning to her husband with a glare.
“Dear,” she said, in an almost sickeningly sweet, too calm voice. “Maybe we should let Scootaloo explain her choice in relationship.”
“This boy must’ve corrupted her! Or one of the other girls must have-”
“Dad!” Scoots stood up, staring right in her father’s eyes (or as close as she could given her height). “No one pushed me into it! Micro mentioned how another girl was into him and I immediately approved of the idea!”
Her father looked at her shocked before Mane pulled him back down into his chair.
“Why don’t you explain honey. Why do you want this kind of relationship?”
Scoots still looked angry at how her father had acted but felt Silver and Chara take her hands and lightly pull her back down.
“Well…you guys know I’m bi…and I find the other girls in our group attractive. I just figured…if everyone cares about each other…why shouldn’t we all be together?”
“And you?” Mane asked, looking at Chara/Micro. “How do you plan on handling this. If I understand Scootaloo correctly, you have at least one more than Silver here. How do you think this relationship will work. What about in the future? How would you support them and any children?”
Silver, Scoots, and even Chara blushed at that. Silver was the only one that really thought about children, but that was far into the future.
“Well…” Chara/Micro said. “That’s obviously way into the future, but I make plenty of money from my inventions. My investment portfolio has been growing steadily and I feel I could support us comfortably just on what’s in there now. Add in future earnings…”
“And it’s not like we would just be letting him pay for everything,” Scoots added. “All of us have plans for careers of our own.”
“It’s still…” Snap started, only for him to wince as Mane squeezed his leg. “I mean…as long as you all genuinely care for each other. However…I find out you are just into this for perverted reasons or if you hurt Scoots in anyway…”
“I’ve got this darling,” Mane said as she got up and leaned in front of Chara/Micro. “You hurt our daughter in anyway, and we know many uncharted places where no one would ever think to look for you, let alone how many pieces you’d be in.”
Chara/Micro gulped but nodded.
Perl
It was a terribly disheveled Ratso that made his way into their motel room. ‘Crystal’ looked up at him with a raised eyebrow.
“What happened to you?” She asked, seeing he only had the sleeves of his jacket.
“Chan happened!” Ratso growled in annoyance. “How does he constantly show up at the same ti-“
Ratso looked over to see his fellow male enforcers moping and Crystal without a shirt on with only a white lace bra holding back her breasts. Cards were spread on a table in front of them.
“Uh….what did I miss?”
“Us losing big time,” Finn said, throwing his cards down with Chow doing the same. Crystal laughed and took the money that was on the table.
“So,” Crystal said, turning to Ratso. “Did our pal Val give you instructions yet?”
“Not yet,” Ratso said. “You think I should call?”
Crystal patiently nodded. Ratso was sweet but he could be a bit thick. Said enforcer reached for his phone...only to realize something.
“It was in my jacket pocket...which Chan now has.”
The group looked at him stunned before Perl spoke up.
“Easy fix! Besides, better than you getting caught. Chow, can I see your phone?”
Chow nodded and took his out for her. Dialing the boss's secret number, she waited until Valmont picked up.
“This had better be important,” the irritated voice said on the other end.
“It is big V,” Crystal says. “I need the time we are to show up at the museum.”
“I already told Ratso,” the voice said, a hint of steel in the voice. “Has the fool already forgotten?”
Crystal narrowed her eyes at that. She only met him a day ago and she already was annoyed at the rich prick.
“No he didn’t,” Crystal said. “Or at least I assume he didn’t. After hearing about problems with that Jackie Chan guy I thought it prudent to set up a contingency plan in case he showed up.”
“Oh. Enlighten me as to your plan.” Oh she could taste the arrogance.
“I figured since Chan is an archaeologist, he would probably find out about the talisman in the museum. The guys and I decided that should Ratso see Chan at the museum, he should lay low and we would meet later tonight. We haven’t seen him yet so I figured that’s what happened.”
Finn, Ratso, and Chow looked at her, and it wasn’t just because she was still without a shirt.
“Rather impressive,” Valmont said. “The infiltration is at midnight. Hopefully you do as well at that as you did with your planning.”
She heard him hang up and if it were her phone, she would have crushed it. As it was, she closed it and handed it back to Chow. She saw them staring and put her hands on her hips.
“Are these really so distracting that you can’t speak?” she said, pointing to her chest. The guys blushed but Ratso managed to find his voice.
“Thanks for that,” Ratso said. “You didn’t have to cover for-”
Crystal put her finger to Ratso’s lips.
“We’re partners,” she said. “And the boss is an asshole. Don’t worry about it. Now, since Vally boy said he told Ratso, I’m assuming the idiot told Chan instead. Well...looks like we need to make a new plan… I need some fresh air.”
Before the others said anything, she stepped outside, intent on checking to see if her friends were there in New York.
The three guys stared at the door. They heard a wolf whistle, a few car honks, then a crash from the parking lot below. They watched as Crystal walked slowly back in and shut the door behind her, looking sheepish.
“Um...hehe...forgot my shirt.”
Hotel
So Chan will be arriving a half hour before? I will show up then as well. I have to prove myself to the organization if I want to stay. Hopefully this talisman isn’t that powerful.
Good. Remember, he won’t know you’re a mole. We’ll show up as well.
See ya then Frida! Going to message Scoots now. See how the meeting with her parents went
Frida closed the screens and stretched as she twisted the knob on her headset. The bug in Jackie Chan’s room was picking him up perfectly. The only reason they weren’t meeting with him now was to not throw him off and distract him with something unexpected.
“Not a bad plan Mr. Chan,” she smiled. “Stealing the talisman to protect it.”
Over the bug, she heard Jackie warn his niece Jade not to come along. After the door slammed, she heard the niece.
“You said not to join you,” Jade muttered. “You said nothing about following you.”
Frida laughed and clapped her hands. She was going to like working with this girl.
“Well team! Time to move out!”
“You might want to get the lovers out of the shower,” Fluttershy said from her position on the bed. Shiro was helping her relax with a back massage. Now that it was pointed out to her, Frida heard the shower running. With a small growl, Frida went over to the bathroom and kicked the door in. Ignoring the shocked screams she tore into the Dracokin and Succubus couple.
“I’m not one to bad mouth sexy fun time but we’re on a mission!” She shouted. “I don’t care if you have to come out naked, it’s go time!”
Crystal
‘He’s not half bad,’ Crystal thought from her position on a hanging display as she watched Jackie Chan sneak his way through the museum. Much like herself, the man of Chinese descent was dressed all in black. Much less conspicuous than the pint sized girl in an orange hoodie that was hiding among the displays.
Stifling a laugh when the girl startled her uncle, Crystal looked over toward the Pink Puma diamond display to see another intruder stealing it. She wanted to stop her, but that would be too risky considering her main mission. She turned back to Chan as he swapped the talisman with a small statue he had.
‘Go time.’
She jumped down and landed silently behind the pair. She slowly began sneaking up on them when they turned and looked to their right. Crystal followed their gaze and saw the Puma thief looking back at them.
“I think this mirror is broken,” Jackie Chan said. Quick as a whip the other thief kicked out at Chan and knocked the bag he stored the talisman in flying. Crystal smiled and caught it.
“Jackie!” The young girl, that Crystal could identify as Jade (both via description from the enforcers and her ability) shouted, pointing to Crystal. Her uncle looked back in shock as his eyes darted between Crystal and the other thief (Ability ID her as Viper).
“You guys are twenty minutes early!” Jackie said.
“Guys?” Viper said as she pulled off her mask. “I work alone. Name’s Viper.”
“As for being early,” Crystal said as she removed her mask. “We figured big V told you the time we were showing up so I decided to come early. Thanks for doing the hard part for me.”
She held up the bag with a shake. Jackie went wide-eyed and ran at her, kicking at her hand. Crystal tossed the bag in the air and grabbed the offending leg, twisting in a circle and throwing him back into Viper. The impact knocked a bag from her hands and sent it sliding down the aisle.
Casually she held her hand out to catch the bag when she found it didn’t land. Looking up, she saw it didn’t catch on anything.
“Jackie!” Jade yelled. Crystal gasped as she saw the girl had caught the bag herself and was running toward her uncle. Grabbing her grappling hook from her belt, Crystal threw it and caught the pre teen’s leg, tripping her.
The bag slid and landed next to Viper’s. Jackie pushed himself up and realized the position he was in with Viper.
“A bit forward, don’t ya think baby face?” She said.
“Gah!” Jackie pushed himself back. “Sorry! Wait...there’s someone else after the Talismans?!”
“What talismans?” Viper asked. “I nicked the Pink Puma.”
Crystal ran past the downed Jade and smirked.
“No hard feelings,” she said. Jade looked at her and gave a slight growl.
“She’s going to get it!” Jade called out. Jackie saw this and tried a sweep kick which Crystal flipped over. Viper saw where she was running and thought she would grab the Pink Puma as well. Quick as her namesake, the other thief snapped a jab at Crystal.
Stopping to catch the blow, Crystal twisted Viper’s wrist and went to knee the woman in the stomach. Flipping over her, Viper drove her foot into Jackie’s stomach, since he’d been trying to grab the bags.
“So cool!” Jade cheered. “I want to be just like them when I grow up!”
“Criminals?!” Jackie asked incredulously.
“Female Jackie Chans,” his niece clarified. Crystal smiled a bit at that before Viper spun her around and sent her into a stand. The vase on the pedestal fell and crashed on the floor, causing alarms to blare.
“Shit,” Crystal said as the two women looked at each other and in silent agreement, they ran and each grabbed a bag.
“Stop!” Jackie yelled as they both shot through the doors to the museum and split different ways. Despite wanting to stop the Puma thief, Jackie knew the talisman was more dangerous and ran after Crystal with Jade following as close as she could.
Ducking into an alley, Crystal panted.
“Geez that guy is good,” she muttered.
“Thank you,” Jackie said as he turned into the alley. “But that doesn’t belong to you.”
“Technically the one I work for has a better claim to it than anyone else,” Crystal said. Taking advantage of Chan’s momentary confusion, she threw a trash can lid at him and made a break for it. That was when an arm shot out from behind a dumpster and clotheslined her. The bag flew out of her hand and landed in The outstretched palm.
“Still falling for old tricks I see,” Frida said as she stepped out. Crystal glared at her and she could see at least part of that anger was real from being clotheslined.
“What the hell are you doing here?” She growled, falling into the role they made for her.
“Taking a contract. Little did I realize we would meet again.”
Jackie looked at the new woman with a bit of a blush. She was in rather revealing clothing.
“Who are you?” Jackie questioned, hoping that this new face was at least on their side. He was relieved when the pink haired woman tossed the bag to Jade who had come up next to him.
“Captain Black hired me,” she said. “Name’s Frida Herano.”
Crystal shot a kick into her stomach and was about to turn and run to grab the bag when Jade opened it.
“Jackie! We’re rich!” She cheered and held up the Pink Puma diamond. Crystal gasped before her eyes narrowed. Rolling out of the way of a stomp from Frida, she kicked up and darted from the alley, Frida would’ve followed but she saw the older of the two Chans running back toward the crime scene with the bag in hand.
“What is that idiot doing?!” She screamed. Jade looked at her stunned.
“Um...probably trying to get the Talisman from that other thief,” she said. Frida peeked out from the alley and saw cops surrounding the man.
“Well...now Captain Black has more paperwork to do to get him out.”
“Especially since he doesn’t have this with him,” Jade said, pulling the Puma from her pocket. Frida looked at her for a moment before a grin split her face.
“Planned to trade that with the other thief for the Talisman?” Jade nodded. “Smart girl.”
“Finally someone gets my way of thinking! So who are you anyway? And who was that other lady?”
“That is a long story kid.”
Crystal
“Damn her!” Crystal growled out as she landed on the roof next to the other Dark Hand enforcers.
“What happened?” Chow questioned. “Did you get the talisman?”
“Would I be this pissed off if I got the damn thing!?”
“What happened?” Ratso asked. “You seemed like you had the bag when you ran into the alley.”
Before Crystal could answer, a ringing was heard. Crystal winced as she pulled out the phone.
“Hello?”
“Did you get the talisman?” Crystal rolled her eyes at the tone she was getting.
“We ran into a couple issues.”
“I hired you because I thought you could handle Chan.” Crystal decided to let loose some of her anger at the bastard. At least their cover story provided a reason for her anger.
“I was able to handle Chan! And the other thief that broke into the museum to steal the Pink Puma. Apparently they both shop at the same store for break in equipment because when I knocked the bags from both of their hands, they got mixed up and I had the Puma!”
“Well as disappointing as that is you at least got something-”
“I did until the second issue came up. Apparently the jackasses who hired Chan hired one Frida Herano!” Silence reigned on the other end of the line.
“And that name is supposed to mean something to me?” Crystal was going to enjoy it when she got to turn on this guy.
“I would think that a self proclaimed criminal mastermind would know one of the best assassins in the world! I used to train with her until our teacher found out I was taking jobs before her oh so important approval.”
Finn, Ratso, and Chow all gulped.
“Did you just say assassin?” Finn asked nervously. Crystal held up her hand to stall questions.
“Will she be a problem?” Valmont asked. He was getting ready to search his sources for this Herano.
“Now that I know to expect her? No. But now I have to find that damn thief. Thankfully the idiot showed her face so it should be easier to track her down.”
“It will. Especially since I am sending you a tool.”
Before Crystal could ask what he meant, a Shadow Kahn's hands stretched from the ground, holding a small item that had four dragon heads at the top.
“It’s a talisman tracker that Shendu had,” Valmont said. “It should help you-“
“Why weren’t we given this from the start?” Crystal deadpanned. Valmont was silent for a few moments before continuing.
“Just get the talisman.”
Crystal growled as she pocketed the phone. She was about to say something when she froze.
“Guys,” she said. “Get back to the motel.”
“What?” Finn asked.
“We have company,” she said as she turned. Shiro, Fluttershy, Diamond, and Spike all appeared on the roof.
“Who are these bozos?” Ratso asked as Shiro twirled his bo staff.
He didn’t like not having his spear but this made more sense for the mission. The hardest parts for him and the others is the no magic rule for now. No flurry of bats for Fluttershy, no fire and dragon scales for Spike, no imps for Diamond, and no spells for him.
“So let me guess,” Crystal said as she stood in front of the enforcers. She went from Shiro and ended with Fluttershy. “Trainee, trainee, trainee, ...bed warmer.”
Sorry Flutters! You know I would never think of you like that.
Fluttershy smirked which Crystal took as forgiveness. The disguised Gamer shot a look at Spike who seemed slightly distracted by the idea of Frida and Fluttershy in bed together.
Crystal snap kicked the Dracokin in the stomach, sending him back off the roof. She heard him hit the fire escape as Diamond came in. To Crystal’s shock Chow slid in and blocked a punch before retaliating. Finn and Ratso were trying their best against Shiro who was deftly blocking with his bo.
That left…
“Bed warmer huh?” Crystal chuckled a bit, hiding her nerves since she had to pretend to be against them.
Sorry?
A powerful fist caught her jaw. That was one thing. No magic, but her vampiric strength could be explained.
Finn and Ratso shook their hands in pain as they were batted down by Shiro.
“Nice try boys,” Shiro said smiling.
Chow meanwhile was actually holding his one against Diamond. Granted it was only because she couldn’t use her ax, Imps, and didn’t have her Maria Naruse costume on, but still. Diamond growled as she reared back her leg. Chow didn’t have a chance once it connected.
The glasses wearing enforcer fell clutching his crotch and Diamond punched his face, breaking the glasses.
Spike pulled himself back up to the roof and froze.
“Hot damn!” He said. The other fights stopped and all eyes turned toward Fluttershy and Crystal. The two were grappling, breasts pressed against each other and legs tangled.
“Nice,” Finn said, only to be hit across the face with Shiro’s bo. Ratso snapped out of his daze but couldn’t dodge the attack.
Crystal heard the guys groaning and growled. She detached herself from Fluttershy, landing near Chow before moving toward the other two.
“Next time you won’t be so lucky!” She said as she threw down a couple canisters. They spewed smoke and the group started coughing. When the smoke cleared, the enforcers and Crystal were gone.
