Chapters Where There’s A Twilight, There's A Sunset
It was a beautiful, sunny spring day at Canterlot High School.
The end of another long Tuesday had Sunset Shimmer in the library, busy studying for a math test that was to be taken tomorrow.
Usually all her others friends would join her and form a study group, though that was not the case as Rainbow Dash had to be at soccer practice directly after school. Applejack having to head home to her farm to help with the apple harvest. Pinkie Pie having to directly go to work at Sugarcube Corner, helping either man the register or help with the baking of sweets. Rarity and Fluttershy both going to the animal shelter, as Rarity had a ‘fabulous’ idea of an animal clothing line, her wanting to go to get the animal’s measurements. Fluttershy coming along to help her.
And finally Twilight Sparkle, who you may think would want to help her study, had a ‘special’ “get together” with Timber.
So yeah, it was just her, sitting at one of the many work tables while other students around her either checked out a book they had to read for class, or typing their essays down on one of the computers.
“The square root of one hundred and fifty is twelve point two four seven four four. Multiplied by five and we get...” Sunset uses her calculator to get the answer. “Sixty one point two three seven two four.” Sunset says to herself, writing down her work in her notebook.
Right as she goes to another question, she hears a vibrating, buzzing sound.
Looking into her book bag, Sunset sees that the journal that her and Princess Twilight write to each other with is indeed vibrating and buzzing.
“I can take a break for a little while. She probs just wants a quick chat.” Sunset takes the journal out of her bag, setting it on the table and opening up to the page with the newest entry, starting to read.
“Dear Sunset Shimmer, I am writing to you to warn you of a potential threat that may be in your world.”
Threat?
“You see, me and my friends had to use the elements of harmony (Celestia and Luna’s orders) to banish an old, ancient threat to Equestria called the Toras. With the head of a dragon, body of a pony, and tail that of a manticore.”
Sunset puts the book down, moving her pen to her cheek. “Toras? Now where have I hear of that before?”
After a minute of thinking, Sunset picks back up the book but right as the loudspeaker turns on, saying: “Attention students. The library will be closing early today due to.. principal reasons. Don’t worry it’ll be opened extra early tomorrow at six thirty sharp. That is all.” VP Luna says as the loudspeaker turns off.
“That’s weird. But story does check out.”
Right as everyone is starting to pack up and head home, Sunset decides to quickly read the rest of what Twilight sent her.
“But you see, the Toras made it easy to banish him, and that’s what we think he’s planning.”
“Be on the lookout in your world for anything, if it’s equestrian magic or something you feel is a threat.”
“Of course you can let the other girls join in, as for who knows where he could be in your world.”
“It’s all up to you and the others to track down and defeat this thing before he causes harm to your world. I just know you can do it.” Sincerely, Princess Twilight Sparkle.
Another threat from Equestria. With equestrian magic possibly.
Of course something like this would happen a week before spring break.
Nevertheless, we’re on it.
Sunset thinks to herself as she packs up everything back into her bag, getting up and walking out of the library.
As she does, Sunset pull out her phone from her jacket’s pocket, opening up to a group chat where her and her friends text to each other.
She texts to all six of them: “Hey girls. Make sure to bring your elements necklaces with you tomorrow to school. I’ll explain about it tomorrow. See you then.”

As yesterday was a beautiful, sunny Tuesday, today is the exact opposite as it’s a cloudy, rain all throughout the day Wednesday at Canterlot High School.
Sunset Shimmer was at her locker, taking out books from and to her book bag.
As she had told her other friends, she too had brought her element necklace with her to school.
Right as she’s done with her locker, the rest of her friends walk over by her. All the six of them looking to have read her text and brought their element necklaces with them too.
“Hey Guys.” Sunset says with a smile. “How are you?”
“Oh fine. And by fine, I mean sore. Really really sore.” Rainbow answers her. “Ever since we’ve had this new soccer coach, she’d been working us so hard, I didn’t even think you could be worked this hard.”
“Quite a predicament there.” Sunset says back. “Anyway. I’m sure you're wondering about why I’ve asked of you to bring your element?”
Each of the girls either give a sideway nod, a confused strug, or a wide smile with two thumbs up (specifically Pinkie).
“Well you see.” Sunset takes out her SunTwi journal. “Yesterday princess Twilight wrote to me for us to be on the lookout for something, or someone called a Toras.”
“A what now?” Applejack responds.
“A Toras. A being said to be of a dragon head, a pony’s body, and a tail of a manticore.” (Human) Twilight answers her.
“Oh, oh my.” Fluttershy says a little scared.
“Uh, how did you know that?” Sunset says a little surprised to her friend.
“Oh you know, the usual... research.” Twilight says as she tries to sneakily tuck her phone back into her backpack, not trying to let anyone know she simply just looked it up on the internet.
“Okay . Anyway, I’ll just have to say be on the lookout for anything looking to involve equestrian magic, or anything else looking threatening. Caplesh?”
“Caplesh!” All seven girls put their hands together then all simultaneously raise them up in the air.
Sunset knew she could count on her friends.

Welcome to Bovineville
The six ponies (including Starlight and Spike) appear in the castle’s throne room. “I’m sure you are all wondering why you are here?” Twilight says to her six group of friends.
“No idea.” Applejack replies.
“Me neither.” Rarity replies.
“Is it anything good?” Fluttershy asks.
“Good? Yes.” Twilight levitates a scroll right out of Spike’s claws.
“You see, while Sunset Shimmer and her friends are busy looking for the Toras in their world. I feel like we should do the same. Whether he’s still in our universe, or in any others.” Twilight opens up the scroll. “Which is why with the help of Starlight here. We think we may have found a certain spell that lets you travel from universe to universe. Safely I should say.” Twilight gives a smile to all ponies.
“A spell that safely lets you go from universe to universe. How do we know that it’s safe?” Applejack asks.
“Oh it’s safe alright. I did plenty of calculations and , I can guarantee it.” Twilight makes a face to display her genius
“Sounds good to me!” Pinkie somehow makes the open scroll appear in her hooves.
“Me too.” Rainbow flies into the air. “The longer we’re here, the longer he’s probably terrorizing some other world. I’m in.” Rainbow puts one of her hooves out.
“Aw shucks. I guess I am too.” Applejack says, removing her hat and meeting Rainbow’s hoof with her hat on her hoof.
“Here here.” Rarity’s hoof meets Rainbow’s and Applejack’s.
“Okay. Let’s do it.” Fluttershy says softly but also confidently, her hoof joining the others.”
“Absolutely!” Pinkie hops over to where they’re at, still having the scroll, her front curl hanging on to it.
“I’m so proud.” A sense of liquid pride floods Twilight’s eyes, having a small smile.
Soon later, all the ponies walk from the throne room over to the library, where the portal that’s used for all things EQG is.
Twilight opens up the scroll, levitating the spell scroll up onto the top of it, then casting a spell to make sure the portal connects with the spell.
“I just want to make sure you all seriously want to do this.” A concerned Starlight tells Twilight. “I know it isn’t exactly going back in time and all that but, it just feels worrisome.”
“Don’t worry. We’re all sure to not mess with the other worlds’ normalcy. Right?” Twilight answers Starlight before then asking all of her friends.
“Uh huh.” “Sure.” “I know I will.” “Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” The girls all saying at once. Pinkie of course saying her special ‘Pinkie Promise’.
“I guess so. But while you're gone, I’ll make sure to study all up on the spell we found. To see if there’s anything else we should know.” Starlight says to all ponies.
“That sounds great.” Twilight says while walking over to the portal. “Are you girls ready?”
“Ready as I’ll ever be.” Fluttershy says confidently.
“Alright. Let’s do this.” Twilight says as one by one, each of her friends walk into the portal.
The ponies’ own search for the Toras begins.

The search begins in a world that looks exactly like their own.
The six ponies magically appear outside of a town that looks exactly like Ponyville.
Cause it is.
“Did the portal just teleport us outside? What gives?” Rainbow says a little angrily.
“Now now. We’re just-“ Twilight is interrupted when she sees all of her friends, soon after looking over herself.
Their manes, tails, overall colors and cutie marks being the same as when they’re ponies but they’re not exactly ponies here.
Each girl looks at each other top to bottom to find out they’re now all cows (bovine).
“Weird, and freaky.” Rainbow says about her new body, looking over her back to see no wings attached. “And no wings. This world is officially not awesome.”
“And no horns.” Rarity says, pointing to both her’s and Twilight’s head to show no unicorn horn.
“Oh dear.” Twilight starts to get all panicking. “If no horn then no magic. And if no magic then how will we get back home.”
Applejack goes over to try to comfort her. “Is that all?”
“Yes!” Twilight yells out.
“I don’t know. I think I might just enjoy this new bovine lifestyle.” Pinkie says as she looks all over herself enthusiastically. “Plus I’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to have an udder.”
“Udder?” The rest of her friends say at once, then going to look that they too have one.
“Again, weird, and freaky.” Rainbow says again.
“Well, good news is that the spell worked.” Twilight says to all. “Bad news is that the magic in this world could be tricky.”
“Now I’m sure we’ll figure that one out.” Applejack says. “But for now. We better get a move on if we’re gonna find this thing.”
“Applejack’s right. We’ll figure out the magic situation later. But for now we better try to find the Toras here before he wrecks this world.” Twilight looks at all of her friends concerningly then giving a big, friendly smile. “But I know we can do it.”
At once, all six ponies start to gallop off, though after taking a few steps toward the town they see, well them.
For about five minutes, all twelve of them (including the pony M6, plus this world’s M6) just stared at each other, both shocked and surprised.
Well except for Pinkie as she and her other world’s counterpart stare at each happily, big smile on each face.
Other world’s Rainbow Dash would break the silence. “So uh, this is weird.”
“And freaky.” Applejack says after her.
Their other world’s counterparts not only looking exactly like them, but sounding like them too.
“You, you sound, exactly like us.” Twilight says shocked and surprised.
“Well of course. This is an alternate universe where we sound and look alike, but are two different beings.” Cow Twilight says to her. “Speaking of alternate universes, why exactly are you here? Not trying to conquer this world now are ya?”
“I..” Think, you’ll in a different universe where everything’s the same except for the fact their cows instead of ponies. “Excuse me, bovine brothel, but you hadn’t exactly seen anything that looks or feels threatening, had ya? Anything involving dark magic?” Twilight asks them all.
“Dark magic?” Cow Fluttershy sounds scared, cowering behind cow Rainbow Dash.
“Hmm, I can check with my dark magic scan spell...” Cow Twilight stares off into the air. “N- nope, no sign of dark magic anywhere here in Bovineville, or any surrounding cities.
Pony Twilight looks shocked at what she just saw. “Wha.. how did you do that? No offense but you-“
“Don’t have a horn like yours?” Cow Twilight interrupts her. “We get that a lot, trust me.”
For another ten minutes there’s nothing but silence, until cow Pinkie breaks it.
“So, how’d you get here? No wait, let me guess. You guys found a spell allowing you six to travel from/to other worlds. Did I get it right?” Cow Pinkie gives a squee .
“Spot on.” Pinkie says to her.
“Okay. I would question how you knew that but you are Pinkie Pie. This world’s to be exact.” Rainbow says to her next.
“Aw thanks.” Cow Pinkie says back.
Cow Twilight walks over to pony Twilight. “Say, I don’t suppose you could let me see that spell of yours?”
“I don’t know. Can I trust you?” Twilight says warily.
“Trust me?” Cow Twilight gets in a better posture. “Trust is an internal part of friendship. But you should know that. You are the ‘Princess of Friendship’.”
“How’d you know-“
Cow Twilight interrupts her pony counterpart by levitating a crown that looks exactly like hers onto her head.
“You're the princess of friendship in this world too?” Twilight asks surprisingly.
“Of course. What you thought this world would be nothing like yours?”
“I, uh...”
“Just teasing ya.” Cow Twi puts on a more serious face. “But to be serious, we gotta find a way to get you all back home. Got any suggestions?”
“I have one. Well question more like it. How were you able to cast that spell? You have no horn and-“ Rarity is soon interrupted by her cow counterpart.
“Well it’s simple.” Cow Rarity levitates out a needle, a spool of blue thread, and an unfinished blue sweater.
Using her magic, she easily finishes the sweater, levitating it over to her pony counterpart.
“Magic here is.. complicated. In some spots it can be real strong, but normally magic is real low. You have enough to do everyday household things but not exactly enough to cast interuniversal travel spells.” Cow Twilight explains to the new girls.
“Complicated? Are you saying we could be here for a while?” Twilight asks.
“Depends. Let me see that spell of yours.” Twilight decides to trust her counterpart, carrying the all rolled up spell over to her.
Opening up the scroll, she gives it a good read.
“Hmm.. oh, alright... I.., think.. we may have a problem.” She says while reading the spell.
“Problem?” Applejack asks worried.
“Well it appears, good news is that you can cast this spell. Bad news is...” Twilight looks to her counterpart, not a good look though. “But this world has a limited magic supply. And your spell calls for a lot of it. Meaning...”
“Meaning we’re stuck here for a while?” Pony Twilight finishes her sentence.
“Answer is, yes.”
All six of the ponies-now-cows look to one another, then towards their counterpart worryingly.
Pony Pinkie slide into the ground, yelling: “Nnoooooo!!!!!”

The new school day had begun.
Rainbow Dash was in her first hour math class, her the only one taking the class since Applejack switched to honor math class because she’s apparently smart at math.
Anyway, the day begins with Mr. Doodle introducing to the class a new student.
The student being a he, wearing all black clothing, hair color purely black.
“I’d like to welcome, uh.. Terry. Terry Astro.” Mr. Doodle says to the class.
While he goes to take his seat, Rainbow thinks to herself: ‘Terry Astro aye? Could be nothing but name does kinda resemble Toras. Maybe.’

Twilight Sparkle (Sci-Twi)
Second hour of class is about to begin.
Right as Twilight walks into her class, Rainbow runs up to her to tell her of the new kid.
“Terry Astro? You do know that it’s a stretch to assume he’s the being we’re after, right?” Twilight questions her friend.
“Well sure maybe, but you never know.”
“Hmm, I suppose I could keep an eye out for him. But it’s still a stretch.”
Right as Rainbow’s about to open her mouth, the bell rings, signifying class has begun.
Twilight walks into the class, Advanced Physics, taking her seat.
‘Terry Astro aye? Maybe.’

Third hour and it’s was AJ favorite.
Cooking class!
And today was random student Wednesday, where she’d get to work with a random student.
And the student she had to work with was the new kid, Terry Astro.
“Howdy. My name’s Applejack.” She holds her hand out expecting a handshake.
Though he just stares at it, then later going to sit on the floor, earbuds in and listening to heavy metal.
“Okay .”
Throughout the whole class, he just sat there, listening to music while Applejack did all the work.
End of third hour now.
“Well that was weird, and freaky.”

Fourth hour and Pinkie is always all over this one.
The class being advanced honors geology.
Of course she only took it to be with her sister Maud.
As soon as Pinkie walks into the class, she notices sitting in the way back a new student.
So being her, Pinkie decides to of course introduce her to him.
“Hi. My name’s Pinkie Pie. What’s yours?” She says as she holds out her hand, staring at him with her big blue eyes.
Another minute passed of just him and her staring at each other until it was time for class to start.
As Pinkie went to take her seat she thought to herself: ‘I’ve seen weirder but usually they at least tell me their name.’
That new student was Terry Astro.

Time for lunch.
As everyone got their lunch and sat down with their friends, our group of seven had something they need to do.
And by need to do something... they all had to finish their social studies homework.
All seven seated at one of the lunch tables, both textbook and notebook out, writing down the answers.
Sunset Shimmer would break the unusual silence at their table. “So, anyone seen anything, suspicious ?”
Rainbow immediately stops what she’s doing, looking to all her friends. “Actually, I think we may have this whole thing wrapped up.”
Sunset looks at her friend questionably.

Twilight and her Cow Counterpart Discuss Things (All While The Humane 7 Start To Go After The Toras)
Twilight and her cow counterpart are both inside this world’s friendship castle’s library.
Inside, mostly every book is pulled from the shelves, every scroll unrolled, and well, the whole room looked like what two eggheads would make it look like.
If you’re wondering, the rest of her friends decided to go with their other world’s counterpart.
Applejack went with hers to Sweet Apple Orchard. (Orchard in this world.)
Rainbow Dash with hers to see how exactly the weather here works.
Rarity going with hers to check up and see what this world’s fashion is like.
And Pinkie and Fluttershy both going with theirs to just check out everything.
Back to Twilight(s), the two creatures going over everything they could find to figure out exactly how the magic here works.
“Got anything?” Twilight asks sounding defeated.
“Y- yes!” Cow Twilight brings to her a book, opened to a page explaining about a magic artifact that could help them out.
“It’s called the ‘Alicorn Amulet’. With it anycreature can harness enough power to have the same, if not more, than Celestia and Luna themselves.” Cow Twilight gives a big dorky smile.
“The Alicorn Amulet?”
“Yes! You know what I’m talking about?”
Twilight gets up, walking around the room. “It’s just, in our world a pony found and tried to used it against me. Not only me but my friends.”
Cow Twilight deflates just a little bit. “Oh. Well if it bothers you that much, then we can try something else.” She looks at a huge stack of books ready yet to be read. “I’m sure we’re find something else in all these.” Pointing her hoof at them all.
“No no, I’m good. Besides, this could be our only chance. Does your book mention where we can find it?” Twilight walks back to the huge stack of books.
Cow Twilight flips through a few pages. “Yes, and no. According to paragraph twelve, sentence seven, it says that the amulet is actually right in Canterlot, locked up tight in Celestia’s castle.
“That’s wonderful news!” Twilight says a little pleased.
“Though, bad news is, the castle is heavily guarded this time of year, and both of our princesses right now are out of the country for a big diplomatic meeting.
“Oh.”
(Back in the EQG World)
“Hey you!” Sunset Shimmer yells over to Terry Astro (A.K.A. the human Toras) from across the street.
Terry Astro looks up from what’s happening to the necklace in his hand to see all seven of the Equestrian girls, causing him to quickly put the necklace into his pocket before making a break for it.
“They always have to make this hard, don’t they.” Rainbow says as they all start to run after him.
Where There’s A Twilight, There's A Sunset
“Right you are.” Terry Astro answers her question. “I put myself out there, and all I got back was laughter. Lots and lots of laughter!” His eyes start turning to a bluish flame, the girls holding him even tighter. “And so I decided, if I can’t make friends with ponies, then I might as well make enemies with them!”
Terry suddenly gets a lot of strength built up, soon using his newfound power to break free of all six of the girls.
Applejack uses her element necklace for just that extra strength to hold him down with.
Though not even AJ’s strength can hold him as he easily breaks away from her.
Terry Astro goes to pick up the necklace he had dropped earlier, whispering into it some old Pre-Equestrian saying and before you know it, he gets turned into his natural ponyland form.
Also possessing a whole lot of magic just from the necklace, available at ease and ready for domination of this world.
“For a thousand years I started thinking. If I can’t conquer their world, then I might as well conquer this one!” He says sounding all evil.
With one clenched fist, he makes the clear blue sky go away, making it thunder and lightning,
“Girls! It’s baddie busting time!” Rainbow Dash shouts excitedly, all seven using their own magic to transform into their ‘battle the evil person’ forms.
“Well if it’s a fight you want. Then it’s a fight you’ll get!”

Well um, the fight didn’t last too long.
The Toras was tough but all seven girls were able to defeat him.
What happened to the Toras?
Well the girls knocked that necklace he uses out of his hand, Sunset quickly going to pick it up then whispered some Pre-Equestrian reverse spell that made the Toras lose all his power.
So now defenseless as he was, Terry Astro went to sit on the curb, crying.
Seeing their once former baddie in battle now crying, all girls returned to their normal selves/forms, Sunset the most feeling a bit of sympathy, going over to sit on the curb next to him.

I know that fight scene wasn’t in full detail but... I couldn’t/wouldn’t feel how to write it so, you get what you see ain’t that right?
Yeah, story coming along good if I say so myself.

“Well that seemed almost too easy.” Twilight says to her friends as they all leave from ‘not their Canterlot Castle but this world’s’.
Holding in her hooves the mystical artifact, the Alicorn Amulet. This world’s version of it at least, not theirs.
“Well yeah ! The guards practically just let us walk in.” Rainbow states.

Twilight and her Friends Back Home (In Their Equestria)
Starlight Glimmer was waiting impatiently in front of the mirror portal, tapping her hoof on the library’s floor.
When just now all six of the ponies come falling through into the room, Starlight having to move out of their way.
“So , how did it go?” Starlight asks curiously.
After a second of silence and them all getting up off the floor, Rainbow says: “Looked exactly like our world. But it wasn’t. ‘Cause everypony there were “cows”.”
“Hmm ..?”
“It went good Starlight. No sign of the Toras there. Any word from Sunset Shimmer?” Twilight walks over to her.
“Actually ...” Starlight makes appear Twilight’s own SunTwi journal, the book appearing to be buzzing, having a new message from Sunset.

The school day had just ended.
All seven girls were walking over to Twilight’s house.
“So let me get this straight. There’s this new student in school who Rainbow Dash here thinks is the guy we’re looking for.” Sunset tells all her friends. “I don’t know. I don’t really normally like to assume but it does feel like a real stretch.”
“I said the same thing.” Twilight says after.
“Listen, I know it’s a stretch but I just think he’s our guy.” Rainbow explains to everyone.
“I still don’t know. Not unless we see him doing some strange equestrian magic.” Applejack says back.
“Yeah you know, kind of like that.” Pinkie sounds happily, seeing Terry Astro across the street, pointing to him.
Only now he seemed to be holding a gem encrusted necklace.
And out of it appearing to be some sort of dark, Equestrian magic.
“Okay. Now I believe you.”

Terry Astro was fast.
But just now fast enough to outrun seven girls.
Rainbow Dash used her element necklace to zoom fast in front of him, causing him to stop in his tracks.
The rest of the girls catching up to have him surrounded.
Instead of fighting back, Terry Astro just simply gave himself up, putting his hands up above his head, dropping the necklace he had earlier to the ground.
Seeing him surrender so easily, six of the girls go to hold onto him tightly, making sure for no room to escape.
Applejack grabs one of his arms to hold out to Sunset.
Sunset Shimmer nods her head in agreement, going to touch his arm to try to figure out what his deal is.
Touching his arm, his first vision Sunset sees is being of him, looking more like his dragon, pony, manticore self, though he looks more nervous, acting shy as he walks into a small village of Earth Ponies, hoping to make friends with them all.
Though as soon as everypony sees him they all start hysterically laughing just at the sight of him.
Seeing all this, the Toras’s feelings gets crushed, trying to hold it all in, running out of the village as fast as he can, stopping at an abandoned well to let all the tears come out.
His second vision shows him outside that same village, this time though he isn’t in the mood to be making friends.
“If they wanna treat like that . Then I might as do the same.” The Toras powers himself up, eyes flaring with blue flames as he then marches into the village to show those ponies why they should never laugh at him again.
And lastly his third vision is of him altogether terrorizing/threatening ponies of every kind, going from town to town to show them his full wrath.
But not until Starswirl the Bearded comes into the picture, battling him for a few minutes before casting a spell on him that banishes him from Equestria, forcing the Toras to live to the lands way south.
After the third vision ends, Sunset removes her hand from his arm.

(Conversation between Sunset and Terry Astro)
“Hey , you okay?”
“Okay?! Look at me. I’m useless!”
Sunset puts her hand on his shoulder. “You are not useless.”
“Yes, I am. Nopony wanted me, so they casted me away. All alone. No friends. I thought that maybe, just maybe, that if I showed everyone here my power that they would like me. ‘Cause face it, deep down I’m just a useless, no good loser.”
“No you’re not. You’re powerful. You’re... just like everybody else. They may not show it but deep down, everyone feels the same as how you do. Only, they’re able to push past it all and project themselves to look and feel as different as what they actually are inside. You can do the same. Just gotta, believe in yourself.
Terry Astro looked up at Sunset, his eyes all teary. “Okay, I think I can. But I’ll need some help.”
“Well lucky for you, you got seven friends here that can help.”
“Friends ?”
And just like that, all seven of the girls hugged him.

Everything Is Perfect, Everything Is Fine
Dear Princess Twilight:
Me and my friends were able to take care of that Equestrian magic you asked of us to do. Really was no big deal.
Okay, sort of. The Toras was just looking for a friend, and he just let his anger overtake him too much. If you’re wondering, he’s perfectly fine with the way things are going. We’ve gotten him introduced to every student here, and he seems to make friends real easy. If there’s any trouble, I’ll be sure to tell you.
