Filly Fluttershy: Uprising
The End...
Previous ChapterEven as the cannon’s energy depleted, Fluttershy was still holding the weapon up with both hooves. She panted heavily, a blank expression written on her face as she stared out into the empty horizon. She barely even flinched when another explosion ripped through the coils and cables on the Final Strike cannon. She glanced down at the broken weapon in her hooves, and without thinking about it, she let go. She continued to stare at the cannon as it fell, as one more explosion tore the weapon in two and the two fragments fell to the ocean below. She looked back up at the horizon, her face showing nothing but exhaustion, while a buzzing sound reached her ears from down below. As the seconds wore on, the buzzing became clearer, began to sound like cheering, and was coming from the town behind her.
“We did it,” she said, the emotion slowly returning to her face. “We beat him. We saved every living thing, everywhere!”
She flapped her wings, circled around, and began to fly towards land. She let the cheers of the townsponies wash over her, the weight of the last few days and even the last three years beginning to lighten from her shoulders.
“That may be so,” Luna said, “but we have one problem yet to solve.”
“What do you mean?” Fluttershy asked.
“The Earth ponies,” Luna said. “Perhaps you might enjoy their adoration, but their cheers mean nothing to me. And though Celestia might say that ponies are closest to the gods, she is far too sentimental for her own good. So what say you, Fluttershy? Why do you care so much about the Earth ponies?”
“It’s not about caring about them, Luna,” Fluttershy said. She looked down at the crowds of cheering ponies in the streets below. For a moment, she thought she saw a few huddled together, worried looks on their faces. “I just don’t want to see anypony get hurt. Sure, Earth ponies can do some awful things. But they also care about each other, just like anypony else. They’ll help each other, often without asking for or expecting anything in return. A lot of their relationships and communities are built on that.”
“You need not explain altruism to me, Fluttershy,” Luna said. “There are plenty of other creatures that exhibit altruistic behaviors. Earth ponies are far from alone in this sense. How does this make them any better?”
“Luna, how many other creatures do you know who believe in the gods, or even pray to them?” Fluttershy asked. “How many other creatures do you know who respect the gods?”
“What difference does that make?” Luna asked. “Do you suggest that only believers deserve protection?”
“Luna, let her enjoy her moment,” Celestia said. “She saved everyone today, gods and mortals alike.”
“Celestia, I will not ignore the threat they pose,” Luna said. “What good is their respect, their prayers? So that they might curry our favor for their selfish ends?”
Fluttershy glanced to her right as Rainbow Dash flew alongside her, a yellow aura bathing her wings and a rainbow contrail behind her. The cheering seemed to double in volume, and Rainbow waved at the crowds with her hoof. She then looked at Fluttershy, who gave her a raised eyebrow. “What?” she asked with a smile and a shrug.
“I would thank you not to ignore me,” Luna groused.
“If it means anything, you make a valid point,” Celestia said. “Earth ponies are simple, selfish creatures who are driven by their own desires. Not so different from us gods, wouldn’t you say?”
“You’re kidding, right?” Rainbow said. “Like anypony could be as selfish as the gods!”
“Consider yourself fortunate that Celestia is the one granting you flight,” Luna said.
“Okay, look,” Rainbow said. “You talked a lot about the awful things Earth ponies do. But I’ve picked up a couple of things about animals from Fluttershy, and you know what? They can be pretty messed up too. They fight and kill each other over food, over turf, over mates. How’s that any better than what ponies do?” She didn’t notice the scowl Fluttershy was giving her at that moment.
“You are oversimplifying the matter,” Luna said. “The wars they wage and the technology they wield bring untold devastation to the world, far greater than the petty squabbles of animals. For the good of all, their destructive potential must be reined in!”
“Then do so, by guiding them,” Celestia said.
There was a pause. “Pardon?” Luna said.
“You heard me,” Celestia said. “If you are so concerned about the harm Earth ponies might cause, then show them a better way. As the Goddess of Nature, you know better than I do that ecosystems change, die out, or spring anew over time. Whatever damage Earth ponies may cause will mend itself, given enough time. Whatever crimes they may commit against nature will eventually prove meaningless.
“But with the right push, they could foster growth and stability in nature far more effectively than any god, due to their innate magic and their reach across the land. You could make great use of the Earth ponies and their gifts, if you could just make peace with them.”
“You once told me that we gods cannot interfere in their affairs as I have,” Luna said. “Would this not be interference?”
“You have already crossed that line, Luna,” Celestia said. “Better a guiding hoof than a smiting horn.”
“Hm,” Luna said. “You have given me much to think about.”
Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor galloped past Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, admiring the town, the coast, and the mountainside from above. Rarity followed alongside them, carried along by her own lightning magic.
“Revel in your victory today, Goddess of Light,” Luna said. “For you know not what turmoil tomorrow may bring.”
“Don’t forget this was your victory too,” Celestia said.
“Alright, challenge accepted,” Rainbow said, looking on at the three unicorns with a smirk. “Come on, Celestia! It’s rainboom time!”
“Rainbow Dash, if that’s what I think it is, I strongly advise against…” Celestia started to say.
Rainbow sped on ahead. Before anypony could utter another word of protest, a vapor cone formed around her, and with another burst of speed, a rainbow shockwave erupted in the immediate vicinity of the three unicorns as she shot past them. Twilight and Shining Armor hurtled through the air for several moments before the spell cast of their hooves kicked in again, and they skidded to a stop on newly reformed light paths. Rarity came to a stop as well, her trajectory quickly arrested by her lightning magic. All three glared at Rainbow Dash, who was flying a lap around the edge of the town, a bright rainbow trail in her wake. They then glanced at Fluttershy, who could only give a sheepish smile.
“Woohoo!” Rainbow shouted from far behind as she finished her lap. She flew in alongside Fluttershy, performing two rolls before matching her flight speed. “That was awesome! Nothing like a sonic rainboom victory lap after beating the Underworld! And I’ll bet the ponies below got a kick out of…” She paused, and her expression changed. “Hold on, why are my wings getting warm?”
“Um…” Fluttershy said, pointing a hoof at Rainbow’s wings.
Rainbow glanced behind her and saw that the aura around her wings had turned from yellow to orange. “What the?!” she said. “Hey, what gives?! You only turned on the power of flight a minute ago!”
“I tried to warn you,” Celestia said. “That stunt you pulled draws too much magic from the power of flight spell. It shortened the length of time you can safely use it.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Rainbow grumbled. “Chrysalis’ magic could handle a sonic rainboom…”
“Regardless,” Celestia said, “You have less than twenty-five seconds to find a place to land.”
“I think I know a good spot,” Fluttershy said, pointing down.
Rainbow followed Fluttershy’s hoof and saw a single tree near a dirt road. Applejack stood near the tree, raising the brim of her Stetson hat to gaze up at them, while Pinkie Pie stood next to her in her armor, minus the helmet, staring awestruck at the still expanding rainbow shockwave and what was left of the ring Rainbow had flown around the town’s perimeter. Rainbow nodded to Fluttershy, and the two made their descent. They touched down on the dirt path in front of the two Earth ponies, the auras around their wings extinguishing the moment their hooves met the earth.
“I take it that was you up there?” Applejack asked.
“Which part?” Rainbow said with a smirk.
“Rainbow Dash, serious question,” Shining Armor said behind them with a flat stare as he and Twilight touched down. “Are you trying to kill us?”
“Honestly, dear,” Rarity said, zipping down and hovering above the road. “We haven’t known each other for very long, but if I had a bit for every time I wondered what’s gotten into you, I’d be on my way to becoming a wealthy mare.”
“Wait, hold on,” Rainbow said. “Were you guys…” She glanced up at her rainbow shockwave, which was beginning to fade. “Whoops, sorry about that. Besides, you’re fine. Nothing the Lightning Chariot unicorns and Luna’s top commander can’t handle, right?”
“I don’t think we can call ourselves that anymore,” Shining Armor said. “Not with what happened to the Chariot.”
“Back up a sec,” Applejack said, narrowing her eyes at Rarity. “You’re one of Luna’s generals?”
“You might say that,” Rarity said. She began to lower herself, but stopped at the sight of the dirt road beneath her. After a pause, she gave a breathless sigh, and touched down on the ground as well. The electrical aura around her horn and body faded away, and she extended a hoof. “Rarity, commander of the Forces of Nature and one of Mistress Luna’s most trusted liaisons for divine affairs.”
Applejack regarded the hoof for a moment before giving Rarity a flat stare.
“She helped us in the battle against Discord,” Fluttershy said. “All three of them did. We would’ve lost without them.”
Applejack gave a slight shrug, then relented. “It’s a pleasure, Ah s’pose,” she said, accepting the hoofshake.
“I’m Twilight Sparkle,” Twilight said, offering her hoof.
“Shining Armor.”
Applejack shook both of their hooves. “Applejack,” she said. “And that right there is Pin…” Applejack turned and saw Pinkie standing under the tree, with a picnic blanket laid out. “Pinkie Pie, we weren’t plannin’ to stay.”
“Oh, come on, Applejack!” Pinkie said. “What’s a little get-together between friends?” She zipped across the grass in front of Twilight and Shining Armor, holding out a pie already cut into slices. “Pie?”
Applejack looked between the pegasi and unicorns while Twilight and Shining Armor each took a slice. “Sure, friends,” she deadpanned. The ponies sat around the picnic blanket and helped themselves to some food. “So what’s this about those three helpin’ you against Discord, Fluttershy? What happened to that weapon Granny Smith promised?”
“It started falling apart halfway through the battle,” Rainbow said, a bite of sandwich in her mouth.
Applejack raised an eyebrow. “Is this the part where you say, ‘Ah told ya so?’”
“Well, no, the weapon was good,” Fluttershy said. “Amazing, even. But… well, it was Discord.”
“What are you doing here anyway?” Rainbow asked.
“The usual,” Applejack said. “Chasin’ a job.”
“Chasing a job?” Twilight asked. She glanced at the Magnus Club next to Applejack, then at Pinkie still in her dark lord armor. “You two are mercenaries?”
“You could say that,” Applejack said. “Used to be an apple farmer, a long time ago. Ah met Pinkie Pie on a rock farm while on a job, and she’s been followin’ me ever since. Couldn’t get rid of her even if Ah tried.” Pinkie gave them a wide, toothy grin.
“What kind of mercenary work, if you don’t mind me asking?” Rarity asked.
“The kind other Earth ponies won’t take on their own,” Applejack said. “Fightin’ off monsters, the Underworld, other gods’ armies.”
“Sounds like dangerous work,” Shining Armor said. “Why not just go back to farming?”
The expression on Applejack’s face quickly soured. Rainbow nudged Shining Armor’s side. “Dead family, killed by the Underworld,” she whispered. “Try not to bring it up.” She glanced back at Applejack, who was now giving her a scowl. “Uh… I mean, nah, she’s fine. Strongest Earth pony you’ll ever meet in your life. Hay, she could probably go toe to toe with most gods if she got close enough.”
“Well, you’ll be delighted to know you won’t have to anymore,” Rarity said. “Discord has been slain, and the Underworld is surely in shambles right now, so you won’t have them to threaten you anymore.”
“What about the Goddess of Nature?” Applejack said.
“Excuse me?” Rarity asked.
“Ah don’t know what you’ve heard about us, but we Earth ponies don’t forget,” Applejack said. “We remember the bomb ya dropped on us three years ago. The war you started. How do Ah know your goddess ain’t gonna go to war with us now?”
Rarity hmphed. “Excuse me, but I’ll have you know that Mistress Luna went to great pains to help fend off the Lord of the Underworld, our common enemy,” she said. “And she’s considering a ceasefire against the Earth ponies, provided that the Earth ponies follow her guidance on coexisting with and stewarding the land.”
“Yeah, that’ll go over well,” Rainbow snarked.
“What is that supposed to mean?” Rarity asked.
“We’re talking about a goddess who dropped a plant nuke on the Earth ponies and tried to start a genocide,” Rainbow said. “Now she’s saying she’ll back down, if Earth ponies do everything she says. What could possibly go wrong?!”
“Ah’m with Rainbow Dash on this one,” Applejack said. “Ah’m not about to listen to a goddess who tried to wipe out my kind not too long ago.”
“I guess things are only just getting started,” Twilight said.
“What do you mean?” Shining Armor asked.
“Well, what Discord said had me thinking,” Twilight said. “He may have turned out evil in the end, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t serve an important role. Souls need to find their final resting place once their hosts die, and someone needs to be there to smooth that process along. If no one’s there to fill that void, there’s no telling what damage it will cause to the celestial balance.”
Pinkie gasped. “You know what that means, right?!” she said. If anypony looked at her at that moment, they would swear she had stars in her eyes.
“… No, what?” Twilight asked.
Pinkie popped in right in front of Twilight’s face. “It means we’re getting a sequel!” she squealed. She hopped back and forth on the dirt road alongside the picnic blanket. “We’re getting a sequel! We’re getting a sequel!”
Twilight raised an eyebrow. “What’s she talking about?” she asked.
Applejack shrugged. “Ah’m gonna level with ya,” she said. “Half the time, Ah don’t even know.”
The sun began to dip below the horizon. Shining Armor and Twilight’s horns lit, and several rose and magenta colored orbs of light spread out around the road and picnic area.
“It’s gettin’ kind of late,” Applejack said. “Pinkie and Ah were gonna settle into town for the night, before this rest stop and that show ya put on with Discord.”
“I suppose I should return to Mistress Luna as well,” Rarity said. She turned to Twilight and Shining Armor. “What about the two of you? You’re welcome to enjoy Mistress Luna’s hospitality once more.”
“Thanks, but meeting Princess Celestia has been a lifelong dream,” Twilight said. “And if things keep going the way they have been, Shining Armor and I might even get to serve under her.”
“She’ll probably be glad to take you, now that Fluttershy’s retiring,” Rainbow said.
All eyes turned to Fluttershy. “Really?” Applejack asked. “You?”
“Well,” Fluttershy said, looking down at her hooves, “defeating Discord was the last thing I wanted to do. The truth is, these last three years, all these wars, it’s been a lot to handle.”
“At least you get to retire,” Applejack said. “Down here, work’s never over. But maybe with Discord gone, things’ll quiet down a bit. A couple of years back, my brother went missing. Left behind a wife and two foals. Ah’ve been meanin’ to look for him, but between the Underworld, the Forces of Nature, and Celestia all attackin’, Ah really haven’t had the time.”
“You don’t think he bailed on them, do you?” Rainbow asked.
Applejack shook her head. “We Apples don’t walk out on family like that,” she said. “But with how long it’s been, Ah need to find out where he is, what’s happened to him, and who Ah’m gonna make answer for it.”
“I hope you find him,” Fluttershy said.
“Thanks, sugarcube,” Applejack said. “That means a lot.” She turned to Rainbow Dash. “What about you? You’re goin’ to Celestia too?”
Rainbow shrugged. “Might as well,” she said. “I’m not happy about it, but without Chrysalis’ magic, I’ve got nowhere else to go.”
Applejack furrowed her eyebrows. “Chrysalis?” she asked. “The Goddess of Disaster and Calamity?”
“Technically Cadance, but yeah,” Shining Armor said.
“I stole her magic to help me fly a while back,” Rainbow said. “She stole it back. Without it, I need a spell from Celestia to help me fly, same as Fluttershy. Problem is, let the spell run too long, and my wings go up in flames. But that’s going to change.”
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked.
“I mean I’m going to learn how to fly by myself,” Rainbow said. “Doesn’t matter how long it takes, as long as I never have to count on a god to get me off the ground again.”
“I tried learning how to fly a long time ago, Rainbow,” Fluttershy said. “I never could do it.”
Rainbow shrugged. “I still think you gave up on it too easily,” she said. “But before we all call it a night and you hang up your tunic for good, how about a little match? You know, for old time’s sake?”
Fluttershy’s eyes widened as Rainbow rose to her hooves. “Wait, you and me?” she asked. “But why?”
“Might as well do it now, when you’re still at your best, right?” Rainbow said. “Just one friendly match to settle things between us.”
“But…” Fluttershy said. “You’ve never actually beaten me before. It’s been, what, three times? I don’t really have anything to prove.”
Rainbow’s eyes narrowed. “You see, Fluttershy, now those are fighting words,” she said.
Fluttershy let out an annoyed sigh. “Fine,” she muttered. “But, wait, I didn’t bring a weapon with me.”
“Got you covered!” Rainbow said. She reached into a nearby saddlebag and pulled out the two bladed limbs of the Fortune Bow.
“Ain’t that the one she had when we first met?” Applejack said.
Fluttershy combined the two limbs, then held the bow by its grip. “Why this one?” she asked.
Rainbow shrugged as she pulled out the two limbs of her Silver Bow. “We were kind of in a rush, and it was the only one of yours I could find,” she said. “I thought you could use something if the Great Sacred Treasure got destroyed. Besides, it works out. Same race, same training, same weapon type.”
“Sure,” Fluttershy said, rolling her eyes. “No items, Fox only, Final Destination, right?”
“Wow, how old is that joke?” Rainbow said with a chuckle. She then turned to Twilight and pointed to the other side of the road. “Hey, could we get some light over there? We need more space for this.”
With a light shrug and a flick of their horns’ auras, Twilight and Shining Armor moved a few of their light orbs across the road. Rainbow walked across to a flat patch of grass, with Fluttershy following behind. Rainbow shot a glance back to the other ponies, then turned to Fluttershy and spoke in a hushed tone.
“So you’re really doing this, right?” she asked. “Retiring from missions?”
“Yeah, I am,” Fluttershy said with a nod.
“And what happens if Luna starts causing trouble again?” Rainbow asked. “She pissed you off just as much as Discord ever did, and you heard what everypony said back there. Nopony thinks this truce is gonna last.”
Fluttershy furrowed her eyebrows. “If it’s Luna…” she trailed off. “Then I guess I’ll have to stop her.”
“Yeah, kinda figured,” Rainbow said. She threw another sidelong glance at the other ponies. “That means going up against Rarity. She’s playing nice right now, but I’m pretty sure she still has it out for you after what happened at the Thunder Cloud Temple. Be careful with her, okay?”
Fluttershy threw a glance of her own at the other ponies, Rarity in particular. She noted how far she and Rainbow Dash had walked from the group, and the lower tone in Rainbow’s voice. “I will,” she said. “Is that why you brought me out here for a sparring match? You could’ve just talked to me when we got home.”
“I mean, yeah,” Rainbow said with a half-smirk and a shrug. “but I wanted a rematch too.” She took a few more paces, putting some distance between her and Fluttershy, and turned back around. “You ready?”
Fluttershy nodded to Rainbow Dash, raised her Fortune Bow, and fired an arrow. Rainbow deflected the arrow with a swing of her Silver Bow, then rolled forward, shooting an arrow back. Fluttershy deflected the shot with her own bow and fired back, but Rainbow was already galloping toward her. Rainbow deflected the second arrow and swung her bow at Fluttershy. Fluttershy blocked the swing with her bow, then leapt back to dodge another swing. Rainbow lunged forward and swung again, and Fluttershy parried the blow. Fluttershy blocked another swing from Rainbow’s weapon, then rolled to the side to get some distance. Rainbow aimed her Silver Bow and fired, hitting Fluttershy in the side in midroll.
Fluttershy came out of her sideroll in a heap, wincing from the hit to her side. She started to scramble back to her hooves, but felt something against her throat. She looked up to see Rainbow Dash holding her bow against her. Rainbow lifted back her bow, gave a smirk, and extended a wing. “Best two out of three?” she said.
Fluttershy scowled, but accepted the outstretched wing and lifted herself up. The two gave a quick nod to each other, and Rainbow swung first with a diagonal slash. Fluttershy blocked, and then blocked a second time when Rainbow went for a horizontal swing. Fluttershy separated the Fortune Bow, tossing one of its bladed limbs to her other hoof, and went for a thrust. Rainbow hurriedly parried the blow, then stumbled back as she deflected a slash from Fluttershy’s other bow limb.
Fluttershy swung down with one of her bow’s limbs. Rainbow blocked with her bow, then fired at point blank range. Her shot went past Fluttershy’s head, but it was enough to make Fluttershy flinch and stumble back. Rainbow took the opening, lunging forward and swinging with a vertical slash. Fluttershy shifted her head to dodge the swipe. She recombined her bow, brought one foreleg back down to steady her footing, and parried a horizontal swipe from Rainbow’s weapon.
Rainbow swung her bow again, but Fluttershy blocked again, their weapons locked. Fluttershy struggled as Rainbow pushed against her with her Silver Bow, but then she saw where the bowsight was pointing. She ducked her head just before the Silver Bow fired, its arrow sailing over her. Then she separated her bow, one limb holding back Rainbow’s weapon while the other landed in her other hoof. She thrust with her free hoof, the bladed bow limb stopping at Rainbow’s chest. Rainbow blinked when she felt the weapon’s edge against her chest, and then stepped back from their weapon clash.
“Okay, that was good,” Rainbow said. For a pony who had spent so much time fighting her to prove herself, Fluttershy thought, there was something oddly proud about the smile on Rainbow’s face. “Tiebreaker?”
“In a minute,” Fluttershy panted. She recombined her bow, returned one foreleg to the ground, and took a moment to catch her breath. “You like doing that, don’t you? Firing from up close when you’re clashing weapons? You know the game doesn’t let you do that.”
“You’d be surprised how many enemies forget these things can shoot in the heat of battle,” Rainbow said. “Besides, you know how most bows’ shots get stronger from far away? This one’s the opposite; it's stronger up close. Better for getting up close and personal with enemies.”
“I guess that explains why you use it so much,” Fluttershy said. “I’d think you of all ponies would use a different weapon type, like claws.”
“You know, it’s funny you mention that,” Rainbow said. “This was supposed to be for you.”
Fluttershy cocked her head. “Wait, what?”
“Yeah, Celestia was trying to make you a weapon,” Rainbow said. “Probably because you spent so many missions swapping between different ones.” She glanced over the Silver Bow and gave a light chuckle. “I don’t know what she was thinking. Making you of all ponies a weapon for fighting enemies up close.”
Fluttershy thought for a moment. “That must be what she was doing with that half-finished bow,” she said. “It looked just like yours, but with gold instead of silver. Oh… but if I’m retiring from battles, then…”
“Nah, I wouldn’t worry about it,” Rainbow said. “Twilight’ll probably get it as a hoof-me-down. Knowing how she feels about Celestia, she’ll probably love it.”
“Wait,” Fluttershy said. “If that bow was meant for me, then why do you… you stole it from Princess Celestia, didn’t you?”
Rainbow cracked a smirk and glanced to the side. “Maybe,” she said.
“Woo!” Pinkie Pie shouted. “Go Rainbow Dash!”
“Fluttershy, tan that no-good varmint’s hide!” Applejack shouted.
The two pegasi looked over at the picnic blanket, where the unicorns and Earth ponies were all watching them. “Looks like we’ve got spectators,” Rainbow said, still wearing a smirk. She took a few paces and turned back to face Fluttershy. “Ready for that tiebreaker?”
Fluttershy gave a curt nod. The two raised their bows and fired at the same time. Their arrows collided and canceled each other out, but Rainbow was already charging forward. Fluttershy shot three smaller arrows at her, but Rainbow skidded on three hooves and used her fourth to spin the Silver Bow in front of her like a pair of propeller blades, deflecting each arrow. Once she came to a stop, she leapt off of her three hooves, bounding over Fluttershy’s head. Fluttershy stepped to the side, dodging Rainbow as she brought her bow crashing down. She swung her weapon, but Rainbow quickly brought hers up to block.
Both ponies narrowed their eyes at each other, Fluttershy’s face hardening into a serious expression while Rainbow met her gaze with a cocky smirk. They both swung, their weapons clashing with each other…
* * * * * * * * * *
Night had long since fallen on the coastal Earth pony town that bore witness to Discord’s ultimate demise. Leading away from the town, a dirt road passed by a single tree. The seven ponies that had gathered there had moved on—either to Skyworld, to Luna’s domain, or to the nearest inn in town—and their picnic blanket had been gathered up with them. On the other side of the road, on a flat patch of grass, lay the only evidence of their presence earlier: a pair of feathers, one yellow and one blue. The wind blew across the grass, disturbing the individual blades for a moment, but the two feathers clung stubbornly to the ground. Apart from the wind, all was silent. Until…
“Well I must say, I am impressed,” a voice echoed all around. “Such a teeny little pegasus defeating such a big bad God of the Underworld. Why Flutters, that must make you the most powerful My Little Pony character of all time! I’m actually rather proud of you. Canon Fluttershy would’ve never made it this far. But don’t worry; I’m not going to drag this out for another sixteen chapters. The story really is over… Which is why I’m here to delete it from this site! One… Two… Three… Four…
“Nawww, I’m just messing with the readers,” Discord’s voice continued on. “Settle down, chumps, this story isn’t going anywhere. I mean, I don’t even have a body anymore. Couldn’t delete a story if I wanted to. I’m not even sure I can be resurrected in this state. There’s the real tragedy. This dashing physique, this literally godly body is gone forever. Mares everywhere are no doubt weeping as we speak! ‘All Fluttershy’s fault!’ Oh well, I’ll figure something out. I have what, thirteen more years before Nintendo makes the next sequel? If they ever release one at all. At least the author beat that record.
“Until then, you can always revisit me and other… friends in the previous chapters. You can play out battles over and over again like a favorite book, or a broken record. Oh, and if the mood strikes you, pick up the actual game and play it for yourself. Nintendo still hasn’t ported the thing, but I’m sure it and a 3DS won’t cost you too much… yet. So here’s to Filly Fluttershy: Uprising, my new favorite plagiarism of my new favorite game of all time! At least until the author publishes a sequel. Imagine that, writing his own material!
“Thanks for reading. Discord out!”
