Chapters Chapter 2: The failed prototype
Twilight sparkle was in her lab and was putting the finishing a prototype long rang teleported for pony’s and other races without magic, she was planning on it replacing trains and cutting the travel time down to nothing, it would be a hit she was sure of it and if she kept the rights to magic and technology then she could make a killing in bits to fund her other projects.
“Spike get down hear pleas I need your help,” Twilight called “And get Apple Jack to help you I know I can rely on her for honest feedback on how it goes anyway, I am going to bed I have not slept in three days but firs let me show you how it works,” Twilight added showing her number one assistant how to use the device before going to bed.
“Ok twilight I’ll get right on it after I finish my chores,” Spike said confidently after a short while Spike finished his chores and the shopping, and was ready to head to Apple Jack's farm around an hour later Spike arrived at the Apple family farm, he walked up the path to the Apple Jack's home when he got their he was greeted by Big Mack.
“Well howdy Spike what brings you out this way?” Big Mack asked.
“I’m looking for Apple Jack she wasn’t in town with the stall so is she here?” Spike asked in return.
“She’s cleaning the barn last I checked.” Big Mack answered.
“Thanks Mack I’ll see you next guy’s night aright,” Spike said making his way to the barn, on the short walk to the barn he saw the CMC running in the direction of town, most likely on another adventure that would end badly for some pony.
Waiting a few moments before entering, the barn was damn near spotless Apple Jack was standing in the far right corner spike walked over. “Apple Jack Twilight asked me to get your help testing a prototype she made and said she needed honest feedback,” Spike said with a chuckle.
“Ok sugar cube just give me 5 minutes to put the cleaning tools away and I’ll be right with you,” Apple Jack said putting the tools neatly away “So what’s this proto thing do anyway?” Apple Jack asked.
“It's a teleport device for anyone without magic not just pony’s to cut travel time completely she wants to give the train line a fun for their bits,” Spike said showing AJ the device.
“Woo that could come in handy in a more portable form, just think of all the uses it could have,” Apple Jack said looking at it.
“All righty now that’s done let’s find a clearing to do the test in just in case something go’s wrong.” Apple Jack suggested.
“Sounds like a plan to me,” Spike said agreeing with Apple Jack a short time later. “All right this clearing seems to be the right size for a worm up test let's see… Twilight said to push this button twice to set the target location.” Spike said to himself starting the sequence on Twilight's prototype. He pressed the green button and nothing happened, so he tried again and still nothing happened Spike looked at Apple Jack and said “Guess Twilight needs to take it back to the drawing board,”.
When suddenly it started to make a strange grinding sound and started spiting magic sparks Spike dropped it and yelled “run!”
In an instant the two left the clearing and hear a BOOM! Behind them, when they return to what’s left of the clearing there is a lager creator. “Good thing we got out of here when we did sugar cube,” Apple Jack said with a look of shock on her face.
“You should go tell Twilight it needs a lot of work in a nice way.” Apple Jack said.
“Ok if you say so AJ I’ll see you next time,” Spike said and went home but little did they know the prototype had weakened the dimensional barrier, at the same time another world over lapped for a fraction of a second allowing one living thing to enter their world.
Chapter 4: Meeting a local
It has been 3 hours I am tiered thirsty and to be honest starting to get in a bad mood, but I finely see the edge of the treeline and when I get there I decide to sit down at the base of a tree to rest for a while. As I was resting I noticed a cottage not too far from my resting place but I also start feeling something within me I don't know what it is but I feel stronger but also powerful.
After 30 minutes I get up and see a yellow woman with pink hair and a tail “A local why yellow? What is this the Simpsons never mind that she may know the way to town, so I might as well ask,” I said reading my nerves and start walking towards the cottage.
when I get there the woman or at least I fink it's a woman she looks like a cross between a human and a cartoon pony with wings, I clear my throat getting her attention “Hello miss would you happen to know the way to town?” I asked not sure how she would react.
“Y-yes I know the way just follow the path that way and you will be in town in no time… if you don't mind me asking what your name is?” Fluttershy asked in a whisper.
I got the answers I needed… but the questions caught me off guard “Well I got turned around in the forest over there and as for my name… sorry but I don't know you so just call me the… Outlander ok,” I answered trying my best to sound as friendly as possible.
I notice she has several large and heavy looking bags of animal feed “Do you need help moving those bags?” I asked seeing it as an opportunity to get more information about where ever the hell I am.
“A-are you sure they’re very heavy and I wouldn’t want you to get hurt,” Fluttershy said in a whisper again.
“I’m not doing this for free I need basic information about this land, Because as I’ve never been here before so it’s simple, I help you and you answer any question about this land that comes in to my head deal?” I asked.
“Deal,” Fluttershy answered finely speaking up.
“So where do you want them?” I asked as I walked over and lifted all four of the bags with both arms witch were not as heavy as I expected some how.
“This way pleas,” Fluttershy answered leading the way around to the other side the cottage.
“So what’s the name of this country or kingdom?” I asked.
“This country is known as Equestria,” Fluttershy answered as we came to the other side of the cottage that had more than twenty animals’ rabbits, birds and foxes even a bear “Set the bags here pleas,” Fluttershy said pointing to a spot just in front of a lot of bowls.
“Are all these animals yours?” I asked noticing even more animals coming out of some of the bushes.
“No all the animals are wild I just care for them when they’re hurt or ill,” Fluttershy answered opening one of the bags and filling the boles.
“So you’re some kind of vet… makes sense I guess the quiet type are normally good with animals,” I said watching the animals act like I wasn’t there “So who’s in charge of this Equestria?” I asked.
“That would be Princess Celestia, Luna, Twilight and Cadence.” Fluttershy answered.
“That’s sounds very complicated and strange… at any rate I’ll be on my way now and have a good day,” I said as I walked back around to the front of the cottage.
“Good bye and thank you Outlander,” Fluttershy said seeing me off.

Chapter 5: The Outlander has entered the town
I finished helping the woman she kept her end of the deal and now I know the name of the land and the names of who is in charge. In no time I was in the middle of the town to my surprise on locals were only looking for a second witch meant this cloak is working a treat.
I found a market street and asked some more general knowledge questions, so I would be able to hide in plain sight when asked where I was from I said, a far distant land in a way that is right a very far away land. I just started heading to the next street a sky blue mare, with let’s say skittles for a hair points at me and said. “Hay you In the cloak what are you doing here? are you a bad guy?”
She shouted for every pony to hear, I started to walk towards her she got into a fighting stance but I just walked past her as if she was not there and I think she didn’t like it. Because she tried to get in front of me several times but every time I just walked around her, not giving her the time of day or night it gets to a point when she fly’s in front of me and punches me in the gut saying “Take that.”
But I take it like a man “Is that the beast you can do I know children who hit harder than that,” I said she pulls her arm back to hit me again, but this time I am ready for it so I catch her fist and quickly give her my strongest punch in the face putting her on her ass.
“Next time you hit and me you’ll get more than a punch in the face,” I said as I start waking again and a few moments later I get a sharp pain in my back, and roar out in pain “What the fuck is it this time!” I shout turn around on the spot to see a lavender mare, with a horn and wings and the horn was glowing.
I see past her and a white mare with a purple hair in a fancy style tending to skittles, who is still on her ass I return my gaze to the mare in front of me she says “What did you do to my friend?”
“If she didn’t start on me for no reason maybe she would not have got laid out like that,” I answered and I don't think she liked the way I just talked about her friend, she fired the spell aging but time seemed slow down and I pulled out my lightsaber, and sent her spell into her right shoulder.
As soon as it hit she had a similar reaction to mine “Ye not nice is it,” I said as she got up and sent another and another and another maybe 20 or so, but I sent all of them in different directions “What out of steam already,” I taunted her, she tried one more but like the rest my cyan blade met it and redirected it into the sky.
She speaks up and says “I did not want to use this magic in a populated area, but you leave me no choice,” I put my lightsaber back on the belt clip wondering what she’s up to but I feel that power within me again. Then she raised a hand and a magic cercal formed in front of her hand and it fired a beam of magic at me, I don't know why but I raised my hand and my eyes glowed and a similar red beam came from my hand, and hit hers making an explosion that formed a mushroom cowed.
There is now blazing inferno between us I use this as a distraction to run into an alleyway and think to myself, the power still active “I need a safe place,” I said to myself and thought the old fort, and in flash of red light I was back on the watch tower, at the fort and I can see the smoke rising from the town “Well shit,” I said looking at my handy work.
Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Rarity all walk in to the map room of Twilight's castle “What was that back there?” Rainbow asked pacing around the room and holding an ice bag to her face.
“I don't know darling but I must say whatever he is… he must have a lot of raw magic power to have matched Twilight's magic like that, and his weapon… I for one have never seen or heard of anything like it but and I must admit all of his movements were those of a master, his reaction speed was also highly impressive… Twilight darling do you have anything you want to add?” Rarity asked.
“I know this is going to sound crazy girls but… the he used magic it felt unrefined untrained and primal, like it's the first time he ever used it in his life but, that just doesn’t make any sense I mean any unicorn should at least be trained to apprentice level of magic skill but… this guy is has magic as powerful as Alicorn magic so you would think he was trained right?” Twilight asked getting nods of agreement from her friends.
Spike came in and ran to Rarity’s side “Rarity are you ok I saw what happened form a window you’re not hurt right?” Spike asked.
“No need to be concerned Spike, besides I was not fighting that would be Twilight and Rainbow Dash so you really should be asking them not me.” Rarity answered.
“I know but they can handle themselves, but if I were there that guy in the cloak wouldn’t know what hit him,” Spike said throwing a few pretend punches.
“Spike you should never go looking for a fight.” Rarity said at that moment the door opened as Fluttershy Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie walked in.
“I saw the explosion from the farm.” Apple Jack said.
“I hope no pony was hurt in the explosion?” asked Fluttershy.
“My pinkie sense went off to let me know there was someone new in town so where is he and don't spear any details,” Pinkie proclaimed with a massive smile on her face and speaking at a million miles a second as always.
“No Fluttershy no pony was hurt just my pride as a princess.” Twilight answered.
Rainbow Dash jumps into the air and said “Now that the six of us are together we need to find that cloaked guy and take him down, just like the other bad guys we have put down,” the rest of the group agreeing with what Rainbow had just said.
“So uh who are we looking for, I mean three of us just got hear and don't know who are you talking about?” Fluttershy asked softly.
“Ye your right we should tell you who we are looking for, all we know is that it's a man in a hooded grey cloak with shadows covering his face.” Rainbow Dash answered.
“Wait I met a stranger this morning as I was tending to my animals, he was dressed like the man your describing if I remember right he said he got turned around in the Everfree, and he came from a very far distant land and wanted to be called the Outlander, and he asked for directions to town so I told him but I couldn’t have imagine he was capable of that explosion, I’m sorry girls if I knew he was dangerous I would not have told him the way to go.” Fluttershy apologised.
“Let's he was first sighted coming from the Everfree he has a lot of raw magic power he does not want any pony to know his name and where he is from… that’s not much to go on but I think I have seen a drawing of the cloak he was wearing, if I remember correctly like I normally do the cloak was used by spy’s 1000 years ago in a cliff side fort on the other side of the Everfree. He might have got it there so that should be the first place we search for him, but first I’m going to send a letter to Princess Celestia letting her Know what happened this morning,” Twilight said getting what she needed to write a letter.
Immediately after the incident in town at the fort “Well shit,” I said looking at my handy work “That went to hell faster than the live action Transformers movies,” I said to myself “What was that power I used… wait that girl used a magic cercal like in an anime… do I have magic too?” I ask myself.
Tacking a moment to clear my mind and my nerves and I feel it just under the surface raw primal and powerful I look down to my feet and see what’s left of my phone. “Ok there are two ways to do this I go back to town and beg forgiveness or I try and teach my self how to use this magic… the second one is more my style, so that’s what I’m going to do let’s think how do they do it in anime they clear the mind first?” I ask myself again.
I sit down cross my legs, close my eyes and begin to clear my mind “So what’s next?” I said and when I open my eyes I am no longer at the fort, but rather I am stood next to a river of lava in a volcanic landscape. “What the fuck… is this what my magic looks like… now I get it I need to re-forge myself in the flames, only then can I use this power without restriction,” I said as I walk into the lava.
It burs at firs but as my fear and hesitation was melted away the lava becomes a strong red light, and for the first time in my life I can honestly say that I have no fear, because the magma that is my raw power has re-forged me into a new man ready to use the magic within me.
Two hours later my red eyes open and I get up my new found power flowing in my veins, I look to my feet and see the remains of my phone I raise my right hand, and all the pieces lift up into the air I snap my fingers and my phone is back in one piece, good as new but just to be sure I take the Sim card out just to be on the safe side.
Then I power it up and it gives me a no Sim notice and I touch ignore option, if you are wondering my phone is a Samsung Galaxy, I put my newly fixed phone in my pocket then look down to the fort courtyard, focus and in a flash of red light In am in the courtyard and no longer on the top of the watch tower.
I look to my left and see some old training targets “Nice it's like someone or rather pony as the locals say left it there, just for me and I plan on making good use of them,” I said with a smirk. “Ok I think for the time being I should use spells from Skyrim, since I know the casting moves and what the spell dose, so let’s start with something simple… apprentice level fire bolt should do nicely,” I said.
I stand in front of the target is about 30 foot away from it so average mage battle range, I raise my right arm close my fingers like a cage and make a fire ball in my hand, then I extend my arm in the direction of the target and open my fingers. The fire bolt leaves my hand hits the target I do this 10 more times, to make sure that I have a hang on how to use my magic and the spell.
I decide to try the expert level thunderbolt spell but this time I pint my arm forward, put my thumb into my palm point my index and middle finger, and put my ring and pinkie into my palm and fire the spell aging with more power this continues until I end up blowing a hole into the perimeter wall, I hear a gasp from my right it was then that I realised that I am not alone anymore.
Chapter 7: First contract
I turn to the right and see 8 mares 6 of them I recall seeing it town, but the tall white one and dark blue one seem to be the same sub spices as the lavender mare, wait she's here too the 3 with horns and wings step forward towards me and the white one started to speak.
“I am Celestia co-ruler of Equestria and Princess of the sun, it has come to my attention that you have caused trouble in my kingdom, what do you have to say for yourself?” Celestia asked looking down on me as if I were a peace of dirt.
“Ok first thing first I didn’t do anything until she hit me,” I said pointing at Rainbow Dash “Then she attacked me when my back was turned,” I said moving my finger to Twilight before lowering it.
Celestia the white bitch looked over at Twilight and spoke in a very low and aggressive tone “Is that the truth Twilight?”
“Didn’t ask, don’t’ need it, go fuck yourself,” I answered before she could finish the offer.
The dark blue one spoke up and said “We strongly suggest you reconsider that decision Outlander.” Luna said in warning.
“Is that a threat? because if it is then it's not a good one.” I said in an aggressive tone of my own. Celestia seemed to lose her temper with me as her horn glowed and she fired a spell at me, at the same time I cast a thunderbolt so powerful that the lightning was jet black.
When the spells hit they made a shock wave that seemed to fracture the cliff making my half of the fort drop by 5ft, I look to the left and right and come up with a plan so crazy that Discord himself would be proud of it. I lift my left leg and do a quarter clock wise turn and slam my foot down sending black lightning through the ground to the fracture, as it hits it goes left and right at the same time breaking the cliff of and making it start to fall, the mares look at me in shock at what I just did.
The princess’s jump into the air wings extended I turn my back to them letting my cloak blow in the wind, as the fort falls to the ground the courtyard floor under my feet go's from horizontal to vertical. I slid to down to the watch tower door and jump landing on the side of the watch tower and then I run up the side of the tower get a look at the horizon as the fort falls.
I put my magic into my legs and do a back flip as Celestia moves under me trying to grab me. Luna try’s a more direct approach of landing on the tower and run up to grab me, as she gets close I wrap lightning and fire around my fist. I throw the punch in her direction sensing a spiral of lightning flame at her knocking her off the tower.
Celestia is coming from behind again so I wrap the lightning flame around my right leg spin on the spot, and kick Celestia in the gut sending her back the way she kame. I look over the side to see how much time I have before the fort hits the ground maybe a few seconds.
Out of the corner of my eye I see a pace of stone from the fort hit Twilight on the back of the head as she was preparing a complex spell, she starts fall at that speed if she hits the ground she could die “Shit,” I said turning in her direction.
As soon as I’m back to ground level I cut the flame jets and used healing magic to heal Twilight’s injury I make some ice, rip off my right sleeve and use it to hold the ice to her head to dull the pain I look to her friends and wave them over.
“You saved her life I believe we have miss judged your intentions and integrity, for saving my former students life I hear by absolve you of all crimes you may or may not be responsible for,” Celestia said in gratitude.
“Just get her the medical attention she needs,” I said as I go to the new cliff side look over my shoulder at them “I'm just a man doing what I think is right,” I said and did a leap of faith of the edge they all come to look over the edge, see me do a flip and when I land the dust clears and they see me walking off like it was nothing.
“That was awesome!” Rainbow Dash shouted.
5 days later Pony vile hospital Twilight woke up with a killer headache and looked around, she see could see Luna in the seat next to the bed holding a piece of torn red fabric in her left hand “I see you are finely awake Twilight.” Luna said getting up and helping Twilight sit up.
“How long have I been here… and what happened exactly?” Twilight asked.
“To answer your question you have been hear five days, and the doctors will want you in for two more after you wake to make sure that there is not any long term damage, after you got hit in the back of your head by a falling stone, if the Outlander did not see what happened see when he did you might be dead,” Luna answered with a series face and flat tone.
Twilight blushed as remembered a blur of the Outlander caching her “So he saved… me why?” Twilight asked.
“All he said after that was to get you to the hospital and that, he is just man doing what I think is right and then he jumped off the cliff and walked off at the bottom, no pony has seen him since then anyway you need your rest, we Alicorns might heal faster and live longer but we can be killed and die so focus on regaining your strength.” Luna answered.
Meanwhile 5 days in the other direction, I am sat in a corner both of a place called the Train Station inn with a cold cider in my hand, how did I get it well the inn keeper had some lingering projects that needed finishing. Lucky for her and me I was able to finish the jobs for her and she paid me with a free room and 300 bits for the quality of the work, I also helped give the inn a new coat of paint with my magic free of charge.
The inn keeper tolled my about some monsters that where nearby and had been choking the towns tourist market, so I’ve been thinking I have magic I have a lightsaber why not be monster hunter and make some money, sounds like a plan to me so I raise my mug of cider and down it. I got up and walked over to the bar “Can you get the inn keeper for me?” I asked the Bartender.
“Of course I’ll let her know you want to see her,” the Bartender answered and walked into the back room. A few moments later the Bartender and Innkeeper kame out of the back room and the Bartender went back to washing glasses.
“Did you need something else Outlander?” The innkeeper asked the Innkeeper was a fairly ordinary Earth Pony, with light brown fur spiky orange mane and tail and dressed in a casual, suet, trousers and shoos.
“I remember you saying something about a monster somewhere nearby, I was wondering if there is a reward for its head.” I asked.
“My sister is the mayor and she has put a reward of 500 bits for the beasts head… so should I tell my sister you’ve taken the job?” the Innkeeper asked.
“That’s right but I’m going to need to know where the last attack was and where the most recent sighting were,” I answered and started preparing myself for whatever I was getting myself into.
“The last attack happened a few hours before you arrived yesterday, just follow the road south from town you’ll know the spot there blood everywhere, and no pony sees it and lives… my name is Ginger Ale by the way,” Ginger said revealing the place to start looking.
“Thanks that’s a good lead I’ll look into it right away,” I said as I walked out the door and made my way to the site of the last attack. Arriving only a few minutes later I realised, Ginger was not lying it was a massacre and there was blood everywhere, a cart flipped on its side and even small bits of meat in places. “Fuck me… this was over kill,” I said looking around for any tracks that could be followed.
I decide to look at the cart and pull it back up right the left side of the cart had been smashed but no blood I then look at the front of cart and notice a rancid smell that can be described as rotting corpses in pig shit.
“That explains the stink… the beast has bad breath, to find it I need to follow that stink,” I said putting a hand to my face to block the smell. Turning around and following the smell in to the trees, I was able to see tracks and claw marks in the trees so I stopped to look at them. “Looks like a large dog or a wolf track but, the front track is different ripped up by long claws like the claw marks on the tree,” I said turning around to examine the claw marks on the tree.
“Tour clawed finger and a clawed thumb almost six feet off the ground… tall, wolf like tracks, clawed hands, walks and runs on all fours and up right… all the characteristics of a classic Werewolf which explains the massacre on the road,” I said as I noticed the sink was getting stronger, so I slowly pull my hood down and reach for my lightsaber and slowly turn around.
I don’t see anything but I can hear snarling and the smell is almost unbearable, I ignited my lightsaber and took a two handed stance, ready to strike as soon as the beast kame into sight. A moment later the beast which I thought would be a werewolf, was actually a reptilian creature with a similar build it jumped high in an attempt to pin me down.
I went low lightsaber above my head and cut the beast in half as it went over me killing it in one move “That was close if I reacted a second later I’d be dead, oh well time to take the head and claim the reward,” I said cutting the head off the beast and returning to the town.
Chapter 8: The return to Pony vile
It’s been two years since I kame to Equestria and two years since I killed my first monster and I’m now Monster Hunter S class rank 1. I'm on the job right now I have been hired, to clear out some wyverns Wyverns are a sub-spices of dragon that grow to 4.5feet tall and 10feet long, and can breathe fire or ice depending on the environment they live in.
I just so happen to be dealing with the later, the fucking ice breath can give you frost bite in seconds and I have seen other monster hunters die that way, it's nasty. Anyway I get to the cave and enter as quietly as possible, the nest is full of the fuckers so I start prepping to cast a spell from the Overlord anime when it is ready I say allowed.
“Super tier magic... fallen down,” and it is like a meteor just hit the top of the mountain levelling the summit flat, nothing remained of the flying fuckers but ash and smock. Right on time the wonder bolts show up with my pay, from the Royal Court for clearing the area and making it a safe fly zone once more.
“Spitfire been to long I didn’t expect them to send the bolts to deliver payment, but it's a nice surprise never the less,” I said doing a fist bump with Spitfire.
“Hay Spitfire have you met him before?” Soarin asked.
“Ye around a year ago I was in a club, and this Minitor was acting like a real dick next thing I know the Outlander walks up to him and knocks him out with one hit, and gets a drink at the bar next to me and the rest is history.” Spitfire answered.
“So what… you had sex?” Fleet foot asked.
“No we didn’t… anything else on the list of things to do?” I asked.
“No hears your pay and a letter from the princess she said it was important,” Spitfire said handing my pay and the letter.
“Ok I'll read the letter this time, but only because it's you and you’re the only pony that can drink as much as me without passing out,” I said with a grin. The wonder bolts fly back to the base thy came from “Now then let’s see what Celestia wants,” I said opening the letter and reading it.
Dear Outlander
“Clever girl, shit this means I’m getting predictable but this might actually be worth looking in to… so it looks like I’m going back to where it all started, I wonder if Twilight will mined if I kick the door open to get in, Celestia is up to something… but for now I’ll just go back to the inn.” I said to myself.
The next morning I wake up and get freshened up with a shower, and I spend almost and hour cleaning my armor that right I have armor now. It's a simple metal right side shoulder plate with a strap that has pouches on it, some metal bracers and metal shin guards they are all made of high carbon steel, and have a brushed finish on them but when I was done they were gleaming and shiny.
I also have new cloths the ones I plan to ware is a black tank top light grey trousers, and my brown leather shoos that I had when I came to Equesteria. I have been using my magic to keep them good as new because like I said before they are nice to walk around in, after I get dressed I decide it is time to put my armor on, starting with the shin guards then the bracers and finely I put the shoulder plate over my shoulder and adjust the strap so it fits just right.
I put my lightsaber on the clip and walk over to my cloak use magic to clean and freshen it before putting it on, hiding my armor from sight I decide to leave a tip for the room service and go down stairs and check out then I walk outside and teleport.
In a flash of red light I’m back in the Ponyvile market street, ok so last time I was hear the castle was this way if I recall. A few minutes later and I’m at the main doors of the castle I kick the door open and go inside, the place was… well a crystal tree castle what more needs to be said it was as shiny on the inside as it was on the outside, I reach what I can only guess is the mail hall of this abomination thy call a castle.
There is a round table in the centre of the room with six thrones around it, so feeling the need to put on a show I use my magic to push five of the thrones away, and sit on the remaining one and put my feet up to relax until Twilight gets home.
“Miss me?” I asked getting up and teleport if front of them, I reach behind me and pull out the letter from Celestia. “I got this yesterday asking me to be here tomorrow at 4:30pm,” I said giving Twilight the letter.
“This is Celestia's hand writing and the same paper she uses to send me letters, but why wouldn’t she tell me about this?” Twilight asked.
“From what I understand she has a reputation for puling pranks on others might be one, but I guess we won’t know for another day, and I won’t be happy if this is a prank.” I answered.
“So what are you planning on doing while you’re here? I mean you’re a monster hunter and there aren’t any monsters in the area so I feel that I must ask darling?” Rarity asked.
“First keep your nose out, second never call me darling again, third I was planning on getting shit face drunk so that’s my plan,” I said walking past them and out the door.
I head to the exit look over my shoulder and see all six following me, I look forward as I head to the nearest club, bar or pub in town. On the way I notice ravens flying overhead when I return my gaze ahead, I see a gang of teenage dragons making trouble. “Stay hear I'll take care of this,” I said and keep walking forward until I stand before the dragons.
“Hay you ugly over grown lizards you had better dig the wax out of your ears, and listen He comes from a faraway land and challenges the sun and defies the moon, taking down anyone who dares harm the innocent, when you hear of the fearless OUTLANDER their talking about me, now this is the only chance I'm giving you to leave!” I shouted pointing my index finger to the sky.
One of the dragons approaches me I hear the girls behind me say “Is that Grable he looks different,” the dragon try’s to claw at me I evade the swipe.
I hit the dragon in the face with my black lightning exploding his head in one hit, when the others see that the leader is dead they scatter and fly for their lives. “Shit it's the dragon slayer.” One of the Dragon’s shouted as they all fly away.
“What the hay was with that speech, and you just one hit killed him remind me to stay on your good side.” Rainbow said.
“Not sure I have a good side… but thing is I don’t put that much power in to that, so maybe it wasn’t me it's almost like someone don’t want him to talk,” I said noticing the ravens again, strange in my two years here I have never seen any birds with black feathers. “So why are you following me?” I asked only to get no response. “Oh grate we just started to get a long and I already broke you, I wonder if I can get replacements,” I said and this seemed to snap them out of their dazed state.
A few minutes later I was seated in a large both in a club called the Dance Floor, and just finished my first round of drinks and already have my second ready to go. Once again the girls had followed me and sit at my both they start chatting and having a good time and I'm learning about the six of them, as thy each tack turns telling story’s Dash just finished the story of her time at the wonder bolt academy. “So what about you Outlander got any good stories?” Rainbow asked leaning over the table.
The rest of them seemed in tested “I’ll give to the count of ten to piss off and get your own table,” I said getting pissed with each passing second that they sat themselves at my table without asking me. The girls look at each other not sure if I was serious. Moments later I had the both to myself once again, and the girls were giving me dirty looks from the other side of the club, so I stick my middle finger up at them, if my hood was down they would see the devilish smirk on my face.
5 hours later the club was closed and we were all outside the girls all head home “Might be too late to get a room at the inn, might as well teleport to my safe house,” I said to myself but Twilight hears me say this and offers me one of the guest rooms in her castle, so I catch up with her and we walk back to her castle she does not say anything, trying hard not to fall over as she starts to stumble so I pick her up and princess carry her back home.
She snuggles up against my chest as I carry her, when we get back I open the door with my magic and see a young dragon on the other side. “Hi… she’s had a bit too much to drink can you show me the way to her room, so I can set her down on the bed?” I ask he nods not wanting to wake her by saying anything.
A few moments later he opens the door to her bed room and I step in and approach the bed, I use my magic to pull back the covers then I gently set her down and pull the covers up, then I leave her room and softly close the door behind me.
“Well nice to meet you Spike by the way Twilight said I could use one of the guest rooms tonight, because the inns and hotels are closed at this hour that cool with you?” I asked.
“Ok I can show you to one of the rooms.” Spike answered.
“Thanks Spike,” I said we walk for maybe 2 minutes and he opens a door.
“Well here it is.” Spike said leaving and going to his room I went in the room was big compared to the rooms in the inns and hotels I have been too I close the door get undressed and go to bed.
I woke up I had a shower cleaned and freshened my cloths and cloak, put them on pull up the hood I don’t put my armor on then went looking for the kitchen for some breakfast, 10 minutes later I have had some breakfast and I am heading to the main hall because I remember seeing some book shelf’s, and I fancy reading something.
When I get to the dining room I see Twilight at the table with her head in her arms, so I walk up to her “Bad hangover?” I asked she nodded, she looks up and sees my hand above her head and the pain in her head was gone.
“Pain killer spell is there anything you can't do?” Twilight asked.
“Yes there are a few things I’m not good at… by the way that spell will last 10 hours but your hang over shouldn’t be as bad by then,” I said as I looked at the book shelf for one I haven’t read yet.
“How come you don't have a hangover as well?” Twilight asked.
“Sorry Twilight but the dinks I had last night might as well have been water, when compared to the alcohol on my home world,” I answered still looking for a book to read.
“Home world… wait are you saying that your and alien?” Twilight asked.
“Well Yes I’m not from this world, two years ago I was just having a normal day but then I blacked out, when woke up and I was in this world and you know what happened after that,” I said finally finding a book to read.
“Oh my God now it makes sense why I have never heard of anypony like you before, and all that time I spent trying to find your home land seems I waste it,” Twilight said chuckling at revelation that is the Outlander.
“Well you know why two years ago after it came to light that everything was a miss understanding, I didn’t want to go with you at the fort, witch reminds me the plan to break the fort in half and ride it to ground it’s a shame I didn’t get to finish it,” I said sitting down with the book I found.
“That plan could have killed you so how was it supposed to work?” Twilight asked rolling her eyes.
I look up from the book I had picked “I’m so glad you asked the plan the was as follows step one break the fort, step two rid the tower to the ground while defending from attacks, step three just before the fort hits the ground jump in to the trees below, and escape as the dust is kicked up from the fort hitting the ground, so you see if you didn’t get hit on the back of the head my plan would have worked,” I answered.
“Not even Discord would come up with a plan that crazy, and he’s the lord of chaos,” Twilight said turning to look at me but I had started to read the book, and blocked everything in the room.
A few hours later I have finished the book and look up Twilight is also reading a book “Well it has been nice to kill some time but, it's about time I find a hotel in town,” I said putting the book back.
“Wait you don't need to get a hotel room, you can keep the room you stayed in last night, I'll ask Spike to get you the key for the room, because I’m giving you a permanent room hear as a gift and a way of saying sorry for two years ago,” Twilight said with an adorable blush on her face.
“Thanks Twilight but I didn’t help myself two years ago did I,” I said surprising her with how mature I was. “By the way my name is Rogue… just thought you would to know since we’re on better terms now,” I said introducing myself and offering a hand.
“Rogue that name suites you,” Twilight said taking my hand and shaking it.
Chapter 10: A trip to Canterlot
After me and Twilight start what could be a strong friendship, we decided to have a long conversation about my home world as we waited for the time Celestia wanted to meet me, but she did not come 10 minutes 30 minutes 1 hour 3 hours still no show, which has resulted in me and Twilight teleporting to Canterlot, so I can kick Celestia’s doors off the hinges to get the reason why she did not show.
Twilight is trying to get me not to kick the doors to Celestia’s personal chambers down, the Guards know better than to try and stop me. Twilight gets in front of me and is asking me to give her a chance, to let Celestia know that we are hear I reluctantly agree to let her go in first and then I come in when she calls me in.
I nod my head to her “Fine just don't keep me waiting,” I said in an annoyed tone, Twilight knocks the door Celestia calls out “Come in,” and Twilight go's in and closes the door, I hear muffled voices I look at one of the Guards. “So anything exiting happen recently?” I asked the Guard dose not move or say a word I wave my hand in front of his face ,he’s not reacting give them credit they are like the Guards at Buckingham Plaice in London the door opens and Twilight asks me to come in.
When I step in Celestia's personal chambers the room is as you would expect, it has white walls with the sun everywhere Twilight is sat on some cushions in the centre of the room, and Celestia is sat next to her. I was not going to give Celestia the chance to get out of this “What the hell you send me a fire proof letter, asking to meet me to go to Twilights castle and then you don’t even show up, come on I have monsters to hunt and ponies to save, so what the fuck do you want?” I asked letting her know I was pissed off.
“Well you see that letter was just a little joke, to see if I could get you to go somewhere,” Celestia answered looking at Twilight for some support.
“Fuck you because you wasted my time,” I said almost wanting to start a fight.
“We should go,” Twilight said realising I was going to lose my shit if I didn’t leave.
“Twilight you should go to your parent’s house, because your brother and Cadence are visiting right now and I know you do not see them often, so you should take the time to see your family while it's all in one place,” Celestia suggested.
“I think we will thanks princess,” Twilight said and then we left the room and decided to go to Twilight’s childhood home to see her family.
1 Hour later we are standing in front of the door the Twilight's parent’s house, she goes for the handle on the door but I stop her “Twilight I’ll honest I don’t want to go in there, might give the wrong impression,” I said waiting for response.
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked with a confused look.
“I mean they might think we’re dating.” I answered.
“Well if they bring it up we just set them straight,” Twilight suggested and I agreed with a nod.
Twilight opens the door “Mum Dad it's me Twilight and I have a friend with me,” Twilight said calling out, moments later Twilight's mother and father come to the door and give Twilight a big hug.
“Who is this Twilight?” Twilight Velvet asked.
“This is the Outlander the one who saved my life two years ago,” Twilight Sparkle answered.
“You mean this is the Outlander that is one of the top three monster hunters in the world?” Night Light asked.
“That’s right I’m S class rank 1,” I said as I extend my hand to them and say “Nice to meet you and if you ever have monster trouble then I’m your guy,” and they both shake my hand and introduce themselves.
They escort us into the siting room where Shining Armour and princess Cadence are sat down, Twilight and Cadence do their dance and I introduce myself to Shining Armour, and then Cadence the rest of the night went well, up until me and Shining Armour got into a contest of who had better story’s to tell.
Needless to say I win that with both hands tied behind my back, I mean he dose paper work and light recon and I hunt monsters for a living, we ended up staying the night and where out by 12 o’clock the next day, but not before Shining Armour told me that Cadence thought me and Twilight where together, and I told him not in a million years.
Me and Twilight teleported back to Pony vile and I decide to get some food in town and Twilight went home. I was walking back to the castle when I notice a brilliant platinum and diamond ring, in a shop window and make a decision so I go inside the shop, and I buy the ring because how often do you see a diamond and platinum ring. It wouldn't come in handy until years later in a different world called Astoria.
Chapter 11: Missing love bats
It has been nine months since I got on better terms with Twilight and her friends it’s been ok I guess, I try not to stay in Ponyvile and do more hunts, the girls don’t like this because the always seem to have friendship activates for whenever I tack a job, but I think everything is going fine and I’m working a job again.
The job in question is in the hidden bat pony town of Dim Hollow a few miles south of Equestria, I’ve have been there so many times and helped them so much, that the elders of Dim Hollow have named me blood kin. It’s also the place where I learned more about monster lore and perfected my magic.
I also have two friends there a stallion with a dark grey coat and a well-kept black mane, and tail and has yellow eyes named Shadow Lance, and the other is a white coated mare with messy navy blue mane and tail and has red eyes and her name is Dark Blaze.
It has been a long time since I was last in Dim Hollow at least a few weeks before, I got that last letter from Celestia and I haven’t had many chances to come by since, oh well that changes today and it won’t take long for me to get there after all it’s not my first time.
In fact I can already see Dim Hollow forest where the town is located, I also timed my journey so it would be night when I get there, a short time later I can see the town through the thick trees of the forest. A few minutes later I am stood outside of the tall fence and gate of the town and shout “I the Outlander blood kin to Dim Hollow request entry” the gate opens and one of the town Guards came out to meet me.
“Outlander what brings you back to this the only free place where you will not be judged?” asked the Guard with a smug look.
“I’m hear about the job request asking for help to find some missing love bats… so you know the usual, just hope that we aren’t going to need body bags this time,” I answered pulling my enchanted hood down revealing my face and letting my white hair flow in the cool night air.
“It is good you are back we could use someone with your skills to help train the young bloods, and there will be gold in it for you, what do you say?” asked the Guard as we both walked past the tall gates.
“I’ll thing about it but don’t hold your breath,” I answered leaving the Guard at his post I take a look up at the tree top town with homes shops and other buildings all inside the thick trunks of the trees, and each tree has large platforms around them, that go up several levels with large rope bridges connecting the platforms the sight always takes my breath away.
I spot Lance and Blaze four levels above me leaning over the wooden railing, this is the perfect chance to use a spell I mad that should let me fly without wings, I cast the spell and a set of wings made of magic open then disappear and then I kick off and fly right up, grab the railing and vault over it and stand next Lance and Blaze.
“Rogue how did you do that?” Lance asked and giving me a bro hug and before I get the chance to answer Blaze leaps on me wrapping her legs my hips and gives me a quick kiss, not surprising last time a month before getting the letter from Celestia.
“So what have I missed while I was gone?” I asked trying to get Blaze off of me but she has a grip like a vice and it’s always hard to get her off when she latches on.
“Well other than the blacksmiths son and soon to be daughter in law going missing, and you not being hear when the mares went into heat, but other than that nothing worth talking about,” Lance answered shrugging his shoulders.
“It’s Black wing’s son that’s missing, and I don’t come here when the mares are in heat because I don’t want kids until I’m at least 27, besides I’ve made it clear I’m not interested in ponies of any kind,” I said finally getting Blaze off of me.
“So where have you been for the last ten months?” Lance asked with a grin.
“You know working contracts and clearing up that miss understanding from almost three years ago,” I answered noticing that Blaze looked like she wanted something.
“Um you ok Blaze?” I asked afraid of what Blaze would say or do.
“Are you fucking kidding me I have been clear about my feelings towards you from the start, and you still refuse to even consider a inter spices relationship,” Blaze screamed in my face and, slapped my face, punched me in the gut, and I stopped her before she kicked me in the balls.
“When you put it that way… I’m still changing my mind on that,” I said catching my breath and recomposing myself after Blaze hit me.
“Rogue you’re either brave or stupid to keep pissing blaze off like that,” Lance said crossing his arms.
“One part brave three part fool,” I said with a smug look “So to change the subject, where is Black Wing?” I asked getting down to business.
“He’s been at the training yard a lot recently,” Blaze answered calming down after her outburst.
“Good let’s get up to level ten then, I still need to test my flight spell so no teleporting this time,” I said getting ready to fly.
“Well let’s fly then,” Blaze said getting ready to take off.
Lance and Blaze spread their wings and my spell stays active until the spell is cast a second time, the three of us kick off and fly up to the training level we would have had a race but, no one is allowed to fly at full speed while in town.
On the way up I hope that my spell dose not fail mid-flight or it’s a long way back to the ground. Even without going full speed it only takes a minute to get to the training level, the three of us land on the platform, one of the highest in the town. The only level above is for the elders and a few hand selected Guards are the only ones allowed on the top platform. I have been up there once, when the elders named me Blood kin.
“Let’s look for Black Wing if he’s not here we check his forge agreed?” I asked my friends as we start the search, not long after we find Black Wing finish talking with the lead hunter we approach him.
“Black Wing I saw your job request about your missing son,” I call out.
He turned and faced me “Outlander thank the Gods, with your help I am sure to see my son again you three follow me to my work shop and I will give you the details,” Black Wing said leading the three of us back to his work shop, when we get there we close the door and take any seats we can find.
“Let me begin the reason I posted the job request, as you know my son Red Wing and his wife to be Silent Fang went missing in the forest a few weeks ago, I went to the Guards first they found Singh’s of a struggle, but no tracks not even are beast Tracker could find anything just some blood not from a pony, pleas find my son and I will pay you 1000 if you bring both of them back safe and sound.” Black Wing begged.
“I must be getting soft, keep you money Black Wing I’ll do this one free and don’t worry I’ll come back with your son, or die trying you have my word on that Lance, Blaze you want in on this?” I asked.
“We are bat ponies of Dim Hollow we don’t let are friend’s fight alone, we stand with them to the end.” Blaze answered.
After taking the job from black wing we went to speak with the Guards, and the Tracker who looked onto the case, so that we could find the spot where Red Wing and Silent Fang were attacked, maybe an hour later we reach the sight of the attack. I look back to Lance and Blaze and bring a finger to my lips letting them know to be quiet, just in case who ever or whatever attacked is nearby.
I then use my magic to increase my five senses giving an eagle vision Witcher sense thing that makes anything interesting or important glow, this lets me see the marks left in the ground from the attack a moment or two of searching, and I find the mystery blood. I reach out a hand and feel a faint magic trail it’s old but I should be able to follow it.
“Guys I found a magic trail it’s weak but I can still follow it,” I said to let Lance and Blaze know to follow me.
I follow the trail finding more of the strange blood, we keep following the trail for some time which ends at a cave, the trail is stronger in the cave than outside “This cave doesn’t look natural, Lance you know anything about it?” I asked examining the entrance.
“Yes I do it’s an old mine over a hundred years old, if I remember right the mine only go’s a hundred and fifty feet into the mountain about half way the path splits in two directions, both meet at a large chamber on the far side,” Lance answered readying his spear and Blaze got her bow read as well.
“Ok so whatever has Red Wing and Silent Fang is more likely than not in the in the chamber on the far side, right Blaze when we retch the split in the mine you go right me and Lance, will go left and run right into the main chamber to get the attention of whatever is in there, that will give you the opening you need to sneak attack with your bow,” I said confidently with a smile.
“Do I get a say in this plan?” Lance asked while giving a are you serious look.
“Come on Lance you always make the plan, besides we both know you would have come up with the same plan anyway, so does it really matter who came up with it,” I said entering the mine before Lance could answered With Blaze following.
The mine was dark as you would expect I don’t use a light spell because my senses are still super charged, giving me night vision as we make are way deeper and deeper into the mine. We see lots of abandoned mining gear all rusted and useless, we eventually reach the split in the path but before we split up I make a shadow clone to go with Blaze just in case things go sideways.
It has been a few minutes since we split up me and lance spot the light from a fire, we look at each other nod and run into the main chamber, we see a fire in the middle of the chamber witch is bigger than expected. Someone could fly and fight with plenty of space in here. We hear a dripping sound and look up at two green pods.
“What do I have here, some fools who will feed my power,” a feminine voice hissed from a dark crack in the celling and dropping down into the chamber.
“Hay Lance looks like Dim Hollow has a bug problem and its one ugly mother fucker, I said to Lance as if it was a bad joke.
“I know who you are you’re that monster hunter the Outlander,” Chrysalis said to herself.
“That right unfortunately for you I have to kick your ass,” I said surrounding myself in my black lightning and taking a fighting stance, with the middle and index finger of my right hand I repeatedly flex them towards me in a clear come at me gesture.
As expected Chrysalis takes the bait flying right at me hands in front of her to grab me, I side step to the right and punch her in the side of the head sending her into the cavern wall, a moment later she jumps from the cavern wall and lands a strong kick into my upper body making me slide back a few feet.
Chrysalis lunges at me again just as she is about to reach me, with lightning seed I grab her left arm and pull her in then grab her head, with my right hand and slam her face first into the floor making crakes for ten feet around her head.
Chrysalis managed to get back to her feet witch is surprising because that normally kills “I will not be defeated by a freak!” Chrysalis screamed mustering all of her magic into a beam and fires it right at me, so I fire a beam of my own and we enter a beam lock “Give it up Outlander I beat Celestia in a beam lock you don’t stand a chance!” Chrysalis roared.
“I don’t think so just who the hell do you think I am!” I shout as my fighting spirit powers up my magic, making my beam blow right through Chrysalis’s beam and sending her back into the wall but this time it’s a knock out and she’s down for good.
I look back up at the pods and using my magic carefully bring them down and set them on the cavern floor, I then use the knife I use to take monster trophy’s and cut Red wing and Silent Fang out both unconscious, I then check the bug to my surprise and irritation Chrysalis is still alive. Blaze and my shadow clone only just got to this chamber, due to some cave in’s on the path they took I break my shadow clown and put a magic restraint on Chrysalis and also shackles on her wrists ankles and wings.
“Lance, Blaze stay here with the two love bats until they wake up I have to drop this prisoner of at Canterlot after that I’ll teleport back ok?” I asked getting nods of agreement from Lance and Blaze.
I pull up my hood grab Chrysalis by the wing shackles and in a flash of red light I was outside of the doors, to the Celestia’s throne room and this is Sparta! Kick the door open. “Hay look who I found,” I shout out over the night court holding Chrysalis up for the whole room to see.
“Outlander must you interrupt court whenever you visit?” Luna asked pinching the bridge of her muzzle.
“Fine I’ll take this bug elsewhere or just put her head on a spike somewhere don’t matter to me, I said flatly.
“I never said I would not take the criminal and on another matter, how did you beat such a powerful enemy who has evaded us for so long?” Luna asked with genuine interest.
“It’s because I’m the mother fucking Outlander and I don’t need any special toys to boost my power,” I answered not quite understanding the reason behind the question, dropping the bug “See you around Luna,” I said before teleported back to the mine where I left Blaze and Lance.
After the Outlander teleported out which should be impossible, because of the protective enchantments on the castle Princess Luna stood up from her throne. “Night court will take a brake due to the unexpected interruption and will start again in an hour with clear minds,” Luna said to the occupants of the room, and made her way to her sister’s tower to inform her of the capture of Chrysalis at the hands of the Outlander.
When I get back to the mine Red Wing and Silent Fang had woken up and were back on their feet, and we all returned to Dim Hollow together and by dawn we were back at Black wings work shop “Good news Black Wing we found them you can take it easy now,” I said entering the work shop and holding the door for the others.
“Thank you Outlander you have no idea how much this means to me, I know you didn’t want any money but it would be dishonourable not to give you something for what you have done, so maybe a new set armour instead of gold and I will not take no for an answer.” Black Wing insisted.
“A new set of armor is one of the things I’ve needed for some time so I’ll take you up on that so do you need my measurements?” I asked.
“Yes you right I’ll need your measurements to make the sure the armor fits just right, oh before I forget it should take one month to make it for you,” Black Wing said taking all the measurements he needed, and when he was done me Blaze and Lance wished him and his son well and left his work shop.
“So are you staying for a few days?” Blaze asked.
“As much as I want to stay longer I need to go back to Pony vile, but its ok I’ll be back in a month for the new armor but until then its good bye my friends,” I said giving Blaze and Lance hug before teleporting back to Pony vile.
I am now standing in my room at Twilight’s castle and went to the dining room to get some food, when I get there Twilight was already having breakfast she didn’t even noetic, as I went past her “Morning Twilight,” I said greeting her and taking a seat at the table with a plat of toast.
“Rogue when did you get back this time?” Twilight asked.
“Only just got back from Dim Hollow like a minuet a go… also ran into Chrysalis kicked her ass and dropped her off at Canterlot with Luna,” I answered taking a bite out of a piece of toast.
“So what was the job?” Twilight asked while doing a crossword in a newspaper.
“Had to find some missing love bats, turned out it was Chrysalis,” I answered finishing a piece of toast.
“What do you mean love bats?” Twilight asked looking at me over the newspaper.
“Dim Hollow is a bat pony town a few mills from Equestrias southern border, that’s all you need to know,” I answered and picked up another piece of toast.
“Are you coming to the beach with me, Spike and the girls today?” Twilight asked as she finished the crossword.
“No I’m not I haven’t slept in over twenty four hours, besides I’ve decided to return to the path,” I said finishing my second piece of toast and standing up.
“So what you’re saying is your leaving and you won’t be back for a long time,” Twilight said looking slightly disappointed.
“Don’t look like that Twilight it’s not good bye I’m just going back to what I’m good at, besides you’ll be able to find me if you really need me just put a notice out I’ll see it eventually,” I said as I went to my room.
Chapter 12: Back on the road
After I wake up and get dressed get my things I leave the castle, and bump into Apple Jack on her way in “Howdy sugar cube is twilight in?” asked Apple Jack.
“I don’t know,” I answered because I was back on the road doing what I was made for.
“It’s good to finally get away from them,” I said to myself around five hours later, I have a room at an inn and I am laying on the bed looking up at the celling so I close my eyes and let sleep take me. The next day after I’m out of bed I freshen up, check out of the inn as I step outside on the other side of the street I see some young Gryphons, beating up a young Colt so I cross the street grab two of the three and throw them in the air, with enough force to make a sonic boom I look at the last and without saying a word and the third runs off.
“Who are you?” the colt asked.
“I am the Outlander,” I answered in a clear voice “Now if you don’t mind kid I have places to be now stay out of fights,” I said messing up the kid’s mane before leaving.
Later that day at a Princess meeting in the Crystal Empire the four princesses, had been discussing any problems in their respective areas of expertise, such as Luna is having fewer nightmares than usual to deal with and Cadence needing to fix more relationships recently. Twilight had not borough up anything about her role as princess of friendship as she was distracted about the fact that, Rogue was no longer going to be around as much “What’s wrong Twilight I would have expected you to get involved in this dissection?” Celestia asked surprised at her former student’s lack of involvement.
“It’s nothing… Rogue told me he was going back on the path and wouldn’t be back for a long time,” Twilight answered not sure of how to deal with a friend leaving Cadence came over and sat next to Twilight.
“It’s ok Twilight… but who’s Rogue you’ve mentioned him a few times but we’ve never met him?” asked Cadence.
“Rogue is the Outlander’s real name,” Twilight answered without noticing Celestia make a note to put the Outlander on the wanted list.
“With all due respect Twilight the Outlander is simply returning to what he does best, killing monsters so we don’t have to deal with them later,” Luna said standing up and getting a re-fill on her coffee.
“So you know his name have you seen his face?” Celestia asked with a smirk.
“No he never takes his hood down, Rarity tried ripping it off him once and he used his magic to pin her to a wall for an hour,” Twilight answered remembering that day well.
Meanwhile far outside of safety of the city a lone Guard on recon almost trips on something, the Guard picks up a broken curved red horn the horn gives off a dark magic glow, and tendrils made of shadow come out of the horn and stab into the hand, of the guard and rips the life force out of the Guard.
Making her shrivel up into a lifeless husk that falls to the ground The horn floats in the air, and thick shadows pore out of if making a sphere a few moments later the sphere shatters like glass revealing the now fully regenerated king Sombra.
Sombra knowing full well that he needed a plan and an army to take back his kingdom, the plan was the simple part the difficult part was forming an army without being found, and of cores that means unwilling volunteers. Sombra made his way south west to the one place close enough to the frozen, north and far enough from Canterlot to prevent any fast responses if he was discovered.
The only place that fits that description is Vanhoover on Equestria’s North West coast, how does he know this because he stole the memories of the Guard he killed and started moving towards Vanhoover.
It has been a little over two weeks since Sombra regenerated and he is now only a matter of minutes from entering Vanhoover, and he has already has a plan for getting his army but first he had to put up an illusion that changes his appearance.
Sombra kept her grey coat hid his horn changed her mane and tail to silver, and his eyes to green and made his cloths change to look like. A white tank top black slim fit jeans boots and a black boomer jacket, however just as Sombra entered the city a black dragon as big as a castle landed and let loose its fire breath setting the city a blaze.
However something seemed off ponies were not burning, because there is a red magic shield stopping the flames the streets clear as the ponies run for cover, leaving only a clocked man in the street the flames stop and the dragon speaks “Who dare stand in my way!” the Dragon roared in rage.
“The OUTLANDER!” I shouted at this monster of a dragon, the dragon roared in rage and punched the ground where I was standing, and looked up in time to see me flying in front of his face I clench my right hand into a fist and pull back my arm “Black lightning flame dragon flying hammer!” I shout as I throw the punch. A spiral of flame and black lightning slam into the black dragon hard enough to send him flying into the bay and smashing several ships.
“Fuck didn’t mean to do that,” I said as the dragon jumps from the water into the air completely blinded with rage, the dragon dive bombs towards the city I stretch my arms behind me and use my magic to form two large ninja stars.
I teleport above the dragons back raise my right fist to the sky and a bolt of black lightning strikes my fist, then I fly after the dragon and use my lightning charged right hook and punch the beast between were its wings were, sending it to the ground faster I then teleport under the dragon on the ground.
I do a small jump and slam my right leg down with all my force and use my magic to make a large blade of razor sharp rock and stone, rises up 50 feet and a moment later the dragon falls on the blade killing it. Sombra could not believe his eyes never had she seen any man with such strength, and power to kill a black dragon like it was child’s play.
Even all the princesses together would have had trouble dealing with a dragon of that size, and black dragons are always stronger and deadlier than the normal types seen in the dragon lands “This Outlander such power, he is the perfect choice to lead my new army into battle I should follow him,” Sombra said to himself following the Outlander into a club.
I was at the bar in the club and paid the for the strongest bottle of vodka they had, and started drinking from the bottle because alcohol in this word is really weak, and I don’t care what others think when they see me drinking from the bottle. So I go to one of the booths to chill for a while and have a few drinks before I head out, to my safe house looking around I notice a grey stallion who has green eyes and a silver mane and tail sat at the bar who keeps looking at me.
A few hours later I’m ready to leave the club before it gets too crowded, I have had a few strange looks while I’m finish putting notes in my journal, I put it away leave a tip on the table and head for the doors. As soon as I’m outside three Guards were waiting for me
“Outlander by order of princess Celestia you are under arrest,” one of the three said stepping forwards with magic sealing hand cuffs in one hand.
“I don’t give a fuck and I’m not in the mood for Celestia’s shit, now run back to your master before I break your legs and make you crawl home,” I threatened successfully getting the Guards to fuck off.
I decide to teleport to my safe house located in an old forgotten forest between Equestria and the Crystal Empire, and the best part this forest is outside the borders of the Crystal Empire and Equestria no one owns the land which means it’s free.
Without putting on the act that everyone has come to expect from the Outlander, I walk up to the door and unlock it with the key and go inside “I’m home,” I said knowing full well I would not get a response, so I walk into the main hall and take a seat at the table and kick my feet up and put my phones music on. Outside Sombra had traced the Outlander’s teleportation, and now he is standing before the Outlander’s home, Sombra dropped the illusion returning to his normal appearance.
“So this must be the home of the Outlander… I expected something bigger,” Sombra said to himself looking over the house he could hear music coming from inside, Sombra could not make the lyrics or the style. I had put some music on from my phone so I could relaxes, but my crystal necklace was glowing meaning dark magic was nearby “Glowing that’s never a good,” I said as I got up and got a bow and arrows, from the armoury and ran outside and locked the door behind me.
I move fast looking around my safe house ready to let an arrow fly at any sing of danger, I was going to check the roof of the storage room, when I hear a terrible shrieking coming from behind so I turn around and loos the arrow in the head of a mutated bat that is local to this forest. I ready another arrow as I approach the bat I draw the bow and loos a second arrow into the bat, just to be sure of no jump scares I put the bow on my back and examine the bat.
It’s bigger than usual but it’s been almost a year since the last time I was here. It looks like a normal bat but the body is a little bigger than that of a wolf, and the wing span is maybe four teen fifth teen feet. Mutated creatures like this are one of the reason ponies didn’t clime the land because of natural dark magic crystal that grow in this forest mutating the animals into vicious killing machines.
“If the other mutants are this big then I have some hunting to do,” I said with a grin getting my bow off my back and run into the forest to get started. Sombra watched the Outlander run into the forest with a bow and arrows, approaching the beast the Outlander killed he pulled the dark magic from the body and used it to recover more of his power faster.
“Why would the Outlander live in a place so rich in dark magic and danger?” Sombra asked himself moving towards the strongest source of dark magic in the forest.
Meanwhile in Ponyvile spa “What’s the matter darling you’ve been down for the last two weeks?” Rarity asked while a spa worker was doing her nails.
“It’s just… I’m worried about Rogue I know he’s S class monster hunter but, now that we’re friends I’m afraid he’s going to die,” Twilight answered looking somewhat depressed.
“Twilight Rogue is strong, powerful and has a sharp mind he’ll be fine, but if you want to be sure I suppose we could find him do you know where he might be?” Rarity asked.
“No I don’t and I don’t think any pony dose he could be on the east coast one minuet and teleport to west coast in less than a second,” Twilight answered.
“Well you’re not wrong no pony knows, but Spike told me that Rogue told him about a safe house and where to find it, but only if it’s a matter of life and death according to Spike,” Rarity said happily.
“What! Spike kept this from me but why?” Twilight asked in shock “We need to talk to Spike right now,” Twilight said getting up and heading to the door.
“That’s all well and good darling but you might want to put your cloths back on first,” Rarity said pointing to the changing room and Twilight immediately changed direction to the changing room.
One power walk later and Twilight opened Spikes bedroom door looking for him “Spike where are you?” Twilight asked franticly.
“What’s the matter Twilight?” Spike asked coming back from the bathroom.
“Spike where is Rogue’s safe house?” Twilight asked.
“Ok he told me it’s in the old forest in the Lost Valley between Equestria and the Crystal Empire, he said the best place to hide is the one place no one wants to go,” Spike answered going to the map room and pointing out the location “Twilight he said only to look for him here if it was a matter of life and death and nothing else,” Spike said.
“I’m going to get the girls together and then we are going to go see if Rogue ok,” Twilight said rushing to leave the room.
“It’s not that simple the nearest train station is five day on foot away, and Rogue might have left by the time we get there,” Spike said using his speech skill but his luck stat was too low and it didn’t work.
“Me and Rainbow can pull the hot air balloon to get there faster,” Twilight suggested.
Two hours later the girls are packed and ready to go, needless to say Rainbow could not wait to show off her speed with Twilight, the girls get in the balloon Rainbow and Twilight picks up the rope to pull the balloon, and the others strap in and hold on and rise into the air and when they get to the right altitude they speed off with a sonic boom.
Three hours of supersonic flying later they were only fifth teen minutes away from Rogue’s safe house. I was back at my safe house working on the engine of my black 1970 V8 twin turbo Dodge Charger in new condition, as I said I am doing some work on it just replacing the spark plugs and changing the oil and you might be wondering how the hell I got this car well.
Because my family is super rich and I learned after my first year in this wold I can use my magic to summon things from fictional universes, and my home world into this word so I summoned my car from home but you know say if it’s not broken don’t fix it so I haven’t.
I hear the sound of something approaching at high speed I get my head out of the engine bay “Where the fuck is that sound coming from?” I asked myself and it didn’t take long to find out, because that God awful pink balloon that Twilight
“Rogue is that you?” Twilight asked seeing me for the first time without my hood.
“What the hay is that hideous thing behind you darling?” asked Rarity.
“Hideous you have some nerve insulting my Dodge Charger like that, when you’re riding around in that discussing pink balloon, at least my car looks badass!” I shout out with pride “So you want to explain why the hell your here?” I asked not wanting a long story.
“We came to see if you were all right.” Twilight answered.
“Is that so right… well as you can see I’m still in one piece,” I said doing a spin on the spot to show off.
“Rogue is the reason you kept you’re hood up because you’re an albino?” Twilight asked taking in my appearance.
“I’m not albino it’s my magic that makes my hair white and eyes red but I don’t care because I look like a fucking badass,” I answered “You might want to move out of the way,” I said turning to my car close the bonnet getting in and go for a drive to make sure it was all good.
An hour later I return and the girls are still here I pull up next to the house, get out and put my hand on the car and put it in my pocket universe for safe keeping I look at the girls and make a decision, as the sun is going down and this forest is ten times as dangerous as the Everfree. “Off your ass’s girls you can stay one night, and be gone by midday tomorrow because I’m heading out,” I said as I walk past them and open the door letting the girls in.
Chapter 13: Unexpected guests
After I let the girls in they gasped because on the outside of the building its Skyrim 4th era year 201 but on the inside its Erath XX101 2013 AD complete with lights, heating, toilets, hot and cold running water and a shower but only one bed “Wow it looks awesome in here why didn’t you tell us about this place before?” Rainbow asked flying up to everything to get a look.
“Because this place is less a safe house and more a glorified storage unit, which is why I didn’t and it’s not any of your business where I keep thing I don’t use any more,” I answered.
“It’s a nice place Rogue,” Fluttershy said softly before anyone else said anything, the next song on my play list started go big or go extinct from Pacific Rim, the girls didn’t know what to make of my choice of music that I left playing after the
“You have some strange taste in music sugar cube,” Apple Jack said adjusting her hat.
“Your one to talk the only thing you listen to is boring old country music.” I said.
“Rogue is it a bad time to ask but I need to go real bad?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“It’s that that door,” I said pointing at the ground floor door to the enchanter’s tower which had been converted in to a bath room with walk in shower, Pinkie walked over to the door and opened the door revealing the toilet a sink and a walk in shower she goes in and looks the door “I should get a sing on that door,” I said getting nods of agreement from the girls a few moments later Pinkie came out.
“Thanks Rogue I needed that,” Pinkie said hoping along as usual.
“You girls want anything before head down into the basement?” I asked.
“Ye we could do with food and drinks,” Rainbow said speaking up.
“I’m not a mind reader,” I said raising an eye brow.
“How about a variety of salads and a few bottles of wine?” Rarity asked.
“As you wish,” I sad snapping my fingers making a magic circle standing vertically appear in the middle of the table and splits in two and moves to the ends of the table summoning what was asked for.
Rainbow had found one of my bottles of vodka from my home world opened the cap, and started drinking from the bottle “That’s mine and you didn’t ask,” I said taking the bottle from Rainbow who looked looked pissed so I give her the middle finger.
“Ok if there is nothing else I’ll be in the basement,” I said turning around to go down stairs into the basement, heading in to the part that normally has a forge and smelter I don’t have those, instead I have a stone archway powered by a crystal I step in front of it and begin to use my magic to fine tune it the destination.
11:05 Pm rolls around and the girls are getting ready for bed, unfortunately there is only one king size double bed in the house, and the girls are using it and they didn’t even ask I finish my work in the basement. I go up stairs to the master bed room A.K.A my room. “Really you’re taking my bed and bed room and you didn’t even ask,” I said shaking my head in disapproval.
The next morning when I got up off a recliner I could smell something burning, so I shot up to my feet and go to the kitchen I installed in the storage room, and find Twilight and the others have burned breakfast “Are you trying to burn my safe house down?” I asked pissed off.
Twilight and the girls turn and look at me with hungry looks “What are you looking at?” I asked wondering what they were looking at.
“You’re not warring anything,” Rarity said biting her lip looking at my slim and incredibly muscular body and also looking at all my scars.
I look down and she’s right my dick is in full view of the girls “I’m a manly man of manliness, with the body of a Greek god I have nothing to be ashamed of besides, if it was that bad none of you would be looking,” I said with a smug look.
“Sugar cube we get it its big can you put your clothes on?” Apple Jack asked.
“Maybe I wouldn’t have run in hear naked, if you guys weren’t burning something,” I answered.
The other girls have a thank the gods look and I don’t blame them, I mean I don’t think any of them have a partner right now. I decide to have a shower a few minutes later I’m in my room with a towel around my waist, and have pulled out some clothes blue jeans red t-shirt socks and grey walking boots, and put them on I go back down stairs everyone except Apple Jack looked disappointed that I was dressed, oh well not my problem.
“So are you girls ready to leave yet?” I asked getting my standard equipment ready before I left.
“Why do you ask?” Twilight asked in return.
“You know Ponyvile can’t go five minutes without a disaster and you know I’m right.” I answered.
“Your right about that it really gets out of hand some times,” Rainbow said butting in.
“We will be ready to leave soon but are you coming back?” Twilight asked with hope in her voice.
“I told you it’ll be a long time before I’m back so good bye to all of you until next we meet,” I answered.
“I see so this is good bye for a while then,” Twilight said. Later that day the girls left to go back to Pony vile and find out if Discord hat turned it upside down again while they were gone.
It has been one month since I was promised a new set of armor and two weeks since Twilight and her friends showed, up at my safe house and I have just got back to Dim Hollow to collect my new armor, but I also plan to stay a few days so I can catch up with Lance and Blaze who I plan to meet up with before getting the armor.
I got to Lance’s house and use the key Lance gave me I also have a key to Blaze’s house, but that’s because she thinks I’m going to confess a crush to her and fuck her on the spot. The sun had just set “Lance are you up?” I called out after I unlocked the door knowing that Lance always gets up to watch sunset.
“Rogue I though you would be hear in a week you must really want that new armor,” Lance said giving me a bro hug.
“I was planning on grabbing Blaze and getting some food, so we can have proper catch up but we’ll need to wait an hour, I learned the hard way why you shouldn’t wake Blaze right after sunset and I still got the scare to prove it,” I said with a chuckle.
“What the mighty Outlander frightened of a mare what is this world coming too,” Lance said joking.
“Fuck you Lance,” I said in response.
“So we have time to kill you want to go to the training ground get a seat going?” Lance asked.
“Hell ye, I would love to say let’s race but the no flying at full speed rule is a pain in the ass so I guess we’re going to have to run on foot and call it the worm up,” I answered as we leave lock up and run to the training ground.
Just over an hour later Lance and me have finished training we’re hot we’re sweaty and we are right outside, Blaze’s house so I take out the key and unlock the door let Lance in and close the door. “Why do you have a key to Blaze’s house?” Lance
“I’d tell you but I don’t want to.” I said.
“Really you’re not going to tell me?” Lance asked still in surprise.
“No I’m not,” I said as I started walking up stairs “Right I’m going up stairs you stay down hear and run if she’s pissed,” I said going up stairs to Blaze’s bed room as expected Blaze is still in bed “Time to get up Blaze,” I said gently shaking her shoulder.
Blaze wakes up and sits up, and her large D cup breasts are in full view because Blaze sleeps naked I also get a good look at the rest of her “Are you going give me a wake up kiss,” Blaze asked in a very suggestive way.
“How many times blaze I’m not interested,” I said crossing my arms.
“You get dressed and I’ll wait with Lance down stairs,” I said heading down stairs when I get back down stairs, I go to the kitchen and make coffee for the three of us a few minutes Blaze was dressed and came down, and the three of us had are coffee before heading out to go get some food.
After we have all had some food, cached up and had an overall good time by 01:00AM we make are way to Back Wing’s work shop to get that new armor, and see if it was worth the wait I knock the door of the work shop and open the door “Black Wing it’s me Rogue I’m here for the armor you promised,” I called out.
“Rogue good timing I just finished it this morning now come over here and try it on,” Black Wing said leading me to the armor.
What I see don’t look like traditional armor instead it looks like a red anime style long coat a whit seventeenth century style shirt, grey trousers with a belt that had several pouches on it, black boots with metal plates attached to them, new braces and a sleeveless chainmail and leather under shirt. “It doesn’t look like armor to me,” I said a little sceptical.
“That’s the beauty of it looks like normal clothing, but the coat has chain mail and articulated plates in it, this is a lot more protective than what your using right now.” Black Wing explained.
I take the new armor into the changing room and to my surprised it all fits like a glove, and the armor doesn’t restrict my movement in any way, and trust me I did every stretches I could think of before walking out to show them how it looks on me.
“Nice work Black Wing it feels good, but I might get a belt to go over the chest… what’s the metal?” I asked feeling the chain mail hidden in the coat.
“Thanks and it’s made of titanium.” Black Wing answered
“So what do you two think?” I asked turning to Lance and Blaze.
“It suits you Rogue, brings out the red in your eyes.” Lance said.
“I agree,” Blaze said not taking the her eyes off me.
“Really you guys think so guess I’ll keep it on then,” I said with a grin after saying good bye to Black Wing we made our way to are usual hangout spot at the training ground, I was planning on staying in Dim Hollow for a few days so I could do some training in this new armor with Blaze and Lance.
One week, two weeks, three weeks went by faster than I care to say and after all that real training I felt stronger faster just like the first time, it’s like I haven’t even reached a fraction of my potential yet.
We were taking a break from training when we over hear Swift Shot captain of the Dim Hollow Guards, speaking about an air ship attack on Canterlot and three princesses being captured “Did you guys hear that?” Blaze asked pointing in the direction of Swift Shot, looking back but Rogue was gone without a word “Seriously he left without us again!” Blaze screamed at the top of her lungs.
I teleported to Canterlot castle and use my flight spell to go to the balcony to get a good look ,at the city I see a bolt of magic shoot into the sky forming a powerful storm, I also hear the sounds of magic blasts as I race higher and higher.
“Rogue how did you know where to find me?” Twilight asked in pure joy.
“I put a tracing spell on you after we started we became friends, for reasons like this,” I answered.
“Sorry to interrupt your chat but who might you be?” the Storm King demanded.
“Me I’m the Outlander!” I shouted at him.
“The Outlander they say your magic is equal to the princesses,” the storm king said with a greedy look on his face.
“Equal don’t insult me I’m more powerful than all of them,” I said with anger in my voice.
“This is perfect I can take your magic, and add it to th…,” the storm king didn’t get to finish before I charge forward as a bolt of black lightning.
I punched him in the gut which made him cough up blood and gasp for air, I grab his staff before he recovers and rip it from his grasp and throw it to the other side of the room, I turn around to look at Twilight and the other mare whose name I don’t know yet. I spin on the spot and kick the Storm King then punch him in the upper body, sending him to the other side of the room unfortunately he lands next to his staff, picks it up and fires a blast at me.
I don’t move instead I pull out my lightsaber ignite the blade and deflect the blast, making the Storm King look like he just shit himself, I started running deflecting every shot sent at me when I got inside melee rang. I grab the staff with my left hand and punch the him in the face still holding the staff, knocking him down I then throw the staff to Twilight, as did the Storm King lunged at me impaling himself on my lightsaber, dropping to his knees killing him then falling forward cutting his upper body in half.
I look at what just happened then look back to Twilight “You saw that right he just ran into the blade like an idiot?” I asked
“Ye we saw it… you killed a monster because hunter monsters it’s what you do.” Twilight said.
“I didn’t want to kill him but he impaling himself on my blade?” I said deactivating my lightsaber and snap the hilt in half and use magic fire to destroy both half’s.
“Why would you destroy your lightsaber?” Twilight asked in shock.
“I don’t need it anymore I’m strong enough without it, and I don’t want a repeat of what just happened,” I said opening a portal to my pocket universe, and pulled out a katana with a black blade and a silver wolf head biting down on the blade as a guard.
“So you’re the Outlander I thought if I got the chance to fight you I could beat you, but after seeing you fight I think that might be a very bad idea,” Tempest said in shock she had never seen that kind of strength.
“I hate to break it to you but Rogue wasn’t even trying in that fight,” Twilight said looking at the dead body on the floor.
You know what happens after the Storm King is killed by his own incompetence, and after the party the princesses call a meeting “It is good to see all of you safe and sound, and I have an urgent matter to discuss the Outlander Rogue, he is starting to concern me with his increasingly violent behaviour anti-social tendency’s,” Celestia said in a firm voice.
“What my sister is trying to say is Rogue’s way of dealing with the Storm King, has shown his true colours and needless to say it is not what we expect from one as well respected as he is,” Luna said.
“I have had a plan for some time to kill Rogue if he became a threat, I call it secrete order 105,” Celestia said informing the others of her plan.
“You want to kill him!” Twilight and Cadence shout at the same time.
“Who would you have do this would you do it, you or your sister or would you force this task upon Twilight, Equestria is supposed to be the land of love and tolerance and I for one do not condone this, he has only tried to help in his own way and the Crystal Empire will have no part in this, and I will no longer support or trade with Equestria if you do!” Cadence
“Calm down this is only in case Rogue goes off the deep end.” Celestia commanded.
“No Cadence is right this plan of yours is wrong, and you two are old enough to know better than to go make an enemy, and if you kill him I will never forgive you!” Twilight said in an angry tone and with that Twilight and Cadence both got up and left the meeting room leaving the sisters alone.
“That could have gone better but, I stand by my decision the Outlander is dangerous and I cannot believe we were blind to the power he has, had I known sooner I would not have let him walk away that day,” Celestia said with a hint of regret.
“They are too young to understand… men cannot be trusted with the kind of power he has, so he must die before he reaches his full potential, and if they will not help us we shall do this alone as we have before, ” Celestia said with venom dripping from every word.
Chapter 15: Blind betrayal
It has been at least two weeks since I saved Twilight again, and after that I went back to Dim Hollow and Blaze wanted to rip my head off, for leaving her and Lance behind but my manly charms let me calm her Down. A few days later I was back on the road looking for work, I just got back from a job to clear out some timber wolves that were getting too close to a trade road, used by small caravans that take goods from one town to another.
Timber wolves are going for 10 bits a head so not much on its own, but the smallest packs are maybe ten strong with the larger packs being twenty or thirty strong. The pack I just dealt with was unusually large at fifty strong, and now it’s only ten so that’s 400 bits in my pocket and the remaining timber wolves have left the area. Not bad for one day of work I return to the merchant’s guild with good news about the roads and to, hand in the Timber wolf cores as proof the job is done.
I get to the merchant guild hall it’s not far from Mane Hatton on the east coast, it looks like a pub on the outside and inside with a large notice bored next to bar, for jobs to trance port goods. I go to the guild master’s office to deliver the cores and get my reword, I reach the door to the guild master’s office knock twice and opened the door “Job’s done and the road is clear and safe once more,” I said announcing my presence.
The Guild Master is an old stallion dressed in formal suit and tie he has a blue coat, his mane tail and beard are grey as they lost their colour years ago, and his emerald eye are locked on my crimson eyes searching for a hint of a lie “Do you have proof of this?” the Guild Master asked in a calm but commanding tone.
“As it happens I do,” I answered pulling out a large bag filled with the timber wolf cores, I collected “feel free to count them,” I said putting the bag on his desk.
“Don’t worry I will each and every one just to be sure,” the Guild Master said as he started to count the cores. A short time later the Guild Master was done counting the cores “I count 40 cores that’s more than the average large pack how many got away?” the Guild Master asked.
“Ten ran off before I could get them, but both alphas are dead so the few that remain shouldn’t come back, but if they do your caravan guards should be able to handle it,” I answered waiting for a response.
The Guild Master got a worm smile on his face “Good that means we can start using the road right away, but before I forget 400 bits for 40 dead timber wolves,” the Guild Master said in a cheery tone getting my pay from the safe.
I barely walk for an hour when out of nowhere that clumsy mail mare from Ponyvile, crashes on top of me “Sorry I got a special letter for you Outlander,” the mail mare said giving me a letter and flying off before I could ask who sent it, so I get back on my feet dust myself off and open the letter it’s a job request and it reads as follows.

Location: Unused mines in mountains west of Apple Loosa.
“Interesting not much information but interesting and I’ve never seen a request like this, reward that big client must be filthy rich and interested in re-opening the mine,” I said to myself re-reading the request. “I don’t like it… how do they know it’s an S class monster if they don’t even seen it to know what it is?” I asked myself with a raised eyebrow “I wonder if S class rank 2 and S class rank 3 have also been sent this request, and if so it’s first come first served and I could uses that kind of money for a holiday… lord know I’ve earned one,” I said deciding to take the job and head there right away.
Some of you may be wondering what the danger level system is, the danger levels are S class A class B class C class D class E class. I’ll explain a normal size pack of timber wolves would be an E class contract while the black dragon I killed in Vanhoover a few weeks ago would be an A class contract.
You might want to know what an S class monsters is and to be honest, I’ve only seen and killed one mainly because they are so hard to find and are extremely dangers, I said before that the black dragon was an A class well now put the dragon next to a pissed off Godzilla Earth, and that is the difference between an A class monster and an S class monster your welcome to have nightmares now.
One week later I am almost there but as I’m going into Apple Loosa, who should I run into but Apple Jack’s gay relative Bray Burn before he said anything, I used my magic to make him loose his voice just for peace and quiet. I go to the general store and stock up on surplices, and asked where the entrance to the mine was, after the shop keeper told me I made my way to the mine.
It is midday by the time I reach the entrance of the mine, unused is right it looks like it hasn’t been used in a long time not as long as the mine outside of Dim Hollow but still a long time. I notice sings of that something… no some pony has been here but I already suspected that the client has an interest in re-opening the mine.
So it might be that the client was looking around and disturbed the monster “If this is an S class monster it’s going to be a pain in the ass to fight it in tight spaces,” I said taking my armor off, and entering the mine I spot an old oil lamp on the wall so I light it up, and take it off the wall and start walking into the deep dark of the mine following the old tracks for the mine cars.
I follow the small tight corridors going deeper and deeper into the darkness at this point I am deep in the belly of the mine, I can’t help but notice that the mine seems completely dry of any ore and yet some pony, is willing to pay so much to have it made safe again as I come to a ninety degree turn I see a faint amount of light, I get ready and turn the corner to see a small ball of light in the middle of a bridge in a large chamber.
After I get on the bridge I carefully look over the side, and with my left hand make a ball of light and drop it over the side and in less than ten seconds it was out of sight, “That’s one deep hole,” I said moving away from the side and head to the strange ball of light.
When I stand in front of it just as I was going to touch it I felt an unimaginable pain in chest, over my heart and another in my back from behind my heart and the blades go right through me, my blood lets me see the outline of one of blades, and with every beat of my heart I feel it touching both blades.
An invisibility spell brakes revelling Celestia, both blades are pulled out Celestia slashes the left side of my body, and behind me Luna slashes the right side of my back I fall to the ground, and use an arm to stop before I fall flat on my face, blood was flowing out of me like a river and pooling under me, Celestia got down on one knee and whispered in my ear.
“I am going to enjoy every second of dragging your name through the dirt,” hearing this made me more angrier than I had ever been before and my magic exploded to life, flowing from me like a raging fire stunning Celestia and Luna I was back on my feet and punched Celestia in the face, sending her flying I turn around and do the same to Luna, but the blood loss hits me and I stumble off the edge of the bridge into the darkness below.
Sometime later Luna found Celestia out cold with a broken jaw, and swollen face Celestia woke up “Don’t waste time on me finish him off,” Celestia demanded.
“I cannot sister he fell after hitting me,” Luna answered helping her sister up “He will not survive the fall or the blood loss we have won,” Luna said as they left the mine.
Meanwhile dropping out of a stealth teleport I was bleeding out on the steps of my safe house, I pull the key out and unlock the door my vision darkens and my strength begins fails, but I manage to crawl inside and reach a chest where keep health potions, and drink all of them making my injuries heal and turn into scars but I’m still weak from losing so much blood and pass out.
When I came too almost a week had passed and I found myself in the bed I keep in my safe house, I try to move but my chest and back explode into pain “Shit why the hell did they try to kill me?” I asked myself wincing with every word.
“You left the door and I found you half dead I could have killed you, but I didn’t?” Sombra said gutting uncomfortably close to my face.
“Ok first personal space if you don’t mind… second why did Celestia and Luna try to kill me?” I asked not really bothered by Sombra.
“I should have known it was those two… after all its not the first time they have done this to a hero,” Sombra said looking at the curiosities I’ve collected. Before he could say anything something hit the safe house and exploded, despite the pain I roll out of the bed in time for another explosion “What’s happening?” Sombra asked.
“I don’t fucking know… but this is why I have a portal in the basement,” I said getting to my feet running down the stairs, heading to the basement hatch as another explosion brings down my armoury. Getting to the hatch I open it and drop down Sombra follows me and I use my close the hatch and bring a book shelf down on top of it.
“I hope you have a plan, because now we’re stuck down here?” Sombra asked in sounding like he was going to kill something.
“Shut up!” I shout as I walk to the far side of the basement, Sombra following looking back at me he see me drop a crystal into a slot on a stone archway, witch makes a portal of spiralling blue flames open inside the archway he also sees me put some kind of spell on the crystal before we both go through.
“Princess Celestia I have good news for you, the demolition team reports a mission success the Outlanders hide out has been destroyed,” The Royal Advisor said handing a mission report to Celestia.
“This is perfect with the Outlander dead and his hide out burned down, no pony will be able to disprove the slander I shale spread about him, before I forget how is my trump card settling in?” Celestia asked with a beaming smile.
“Trump card… I’m afraid I don’t know what you are talking about princess,” the Royal Advisor said with a raised eyebrow and a confused look.
“Well you will find out in time but is seems that the new captain Buck Shot has failed to complete an order I gave him… a truly he is a poor replacement for Shining Armour indeed,” Celestia said bringing a hand to her face.
It has been 13 months since princess Celestia and Luna had publicly announced the death of the Outlander, and attempted to slander his name however what happened next could not have been expected, ponies across the land stood up and called out the lie dividing the land between those who believe the lie without question and those who do not.
Princess Twilight and Cadence both revealed secret order 105 to the public, proving the Outlander to have been murdered and slandered, but despite this half the population still blindly sided with Celestia and Luna who had demanded Twilight and Cadence to surrender, and hand over the Crystal Empire but that didn’t happen instead the first civil war Equestria had ever seen had begun.
Unfortunately Twilight and cadence had not taken the threat seriously and when the fighting started they, lost a lot of ground ad never recovered and were forced to retreat to the Crystal Empire after losing their last strong hold in Equestria.
“I know… he would pull me to my feet and say let’s see you grit those teeth, because this fight is not over yet,” Twilight said cheering up and getting back to her feet. “We don’t have the numbers for an all-out attack, we only just have the numbers to protect the border,” Twilight said wiping what’s left of the tears from her eyes.
“Ye we need to keep are guard up at all times or we’ll end up like him… say do you think Rogue had anything useful that could help us in his safe house?” Cadence asked.
“No there is nothing left, I went there after Rogue was killed his safe house was destroyed, and anything that couldn’t burn was smashed and bent into useless junk,” Twilight answered.
“Are you sure there was nothing left Twilight?” Cadence asked looking her sister in law in the eyes.
“No that’s why I asked Tempest to see if she could find anything I missed,” Twilight answered getting free of the hug and going back to planning a defence plan.
Meanwhile at the remains of the Outlander’s safe house Tempest had just arrived, the only indication that a home once stood here were thick blackened beams that once supported the building. Shattered glass, swords bent out of shape and sets of armour that had been flattened were scattered around the remains of the house “How dose Twilight expect me to find anything useful in this?” Tempest asked herself beginning to look through the ash for anything that might help.
She passed the right side of a fireplace and only three steps and her foot went through something, she pulled her foot out and looked in the hole and saw what looked like a trap door. Tempest moved the book self that had been pulled down onto the trap door, and with a great deal of effort pulled it open and dropped down in one foot of water.
The basement was dark dingy and smelled of rotting wood and rancid water lighting a torch, and searching the basement for any that might be useful, going into the back of the basement and found the portal archway badly damaged with the crystal power slot destroyed. “It’s a portal… and the crystal slot has been destroyed, did the Outlander… survive and escape?” Tempest asked herself as she got a closer look at the portal.
“The portal was open when the crystal was destroyed… which damaged the stone portal frame, so whoever used it couldn’t be followed,” Tempest said coming to a reasonable conclusion of what happened in the basement and left to return to the Crystal Empire with the news.
One week later and Tempest has returned to the Empire, shortly before a massive army numbering two hundred thousand strong being led by Celestia and Luna appeared on the horizon, ready to attack at first light the next day if Twilight and Cadence didn’t surrender.
“What do we do, if the messenger is right then if we don’t surrender by sunrise, then they’ll kill everyone no prisoners?” Twilight asked with her hands on her dead freaking out.
“Calm down Twilight panicking won’t help,” Cadence said looking at a map of the battle filed trying to think of something.
“Calm down how do you expect me to calm down, we have less than ten hours before they attack we can’t even evacuate in time… as Rogue would put it we’re fucked,” Twilight said covering her face with her hands and starting to sob uncontrollably.
A moment later Tempest walked in with a disappointed look “Tempest did you find anything?” Cadence asked giving Twilight some space.
“Unfortunately no, just a destroyed portal in the basement,” Tempest answered and Twilight seemed to take notice of this and sat up straight.
“So you didn’t find anything that could help with the current situation?” Cadence asked.
“Like I said I didn’t find anything, whoever destroyed the placed made sure anything that didn’t burn, was smashed or bent out of shape,” Tempest answered remembering all the swords and armor that was scattered around the carcase of the Outlander’s safe house.
“Could you tell if portal was used before it was destroyed?” Twilight asked.
“I had a look and it seems the portal was opened around the time the house was destroyed… you think he’s alive don’t you? Tempest asked in return facing Twilight.
“I hate to bring it up but if Rogue survived, then where is he it’s been over a year and no pony has seen or heard from him, so until we see him he’s still dead,” cadence said reminding them that wishful thinking wasn’t going to help.
“Twilight what’s wrong?” Cadence asked.
“They lied… the only reason they wanted us to surrender was so they could use a powerful, spell to kill everyone while a defences are down,” Twilight answered shaken to her core. Cadence looked up at the army in the distance and could see two beams of magic, one gold and one blue that fuse into one beam and is heading right at them.
Before the beam hit them a second beam of red magic with several back rings around it, shot past them from behind hitting Celestia’s and Luna’s beam and ripped it apart. As it travelled towards the enemy’s army it exploded with the force of a hundred nuclear bombs, ripping the land scape apart and almost completely destroying the army in one shot.
“Who did that?” Twilight and Cadence asked turning around and see none other than Rogue himself wearing black boots, blue jeans, a white t-shirt and a new red anime long coat. With black flames running up the outsides of the arms along the base and on the back, a strange pair of black wings with a cross guard sword between them pointed to the ground and a sword slung over his back.
“Well who the hell do you think,” I said with a smug look and crossing my arms.
“Rogue you’re alive,” Twilight said running up to me with tears running down her face and hugging me.
“Stay here I’ll take care of this and end this pointless war,” I said gently pushing Twilight of me and I start to walk forward my eyes glow and I kick off into the air and fly into battle. It only takes me seconds to reach Celestia and Luna but they didn’t notice me yet, because they were focused on the massive pile of corpses that was their army sixty seconds ago.
“How could Twilight get this kind of power so quickly?” Celestia asked.
“Hay bitches we have unfinished business,” I said making Celestia and Luna turn and finally look at me.
“Impossible,” Luna said moving away from me we fear on her face.
“So you survived no matter you wi…,” Celestia said getting cut off when I rushed forward grabbed her by the face and throw her like a rag doll, into the nearest mountain at five times the speed of sound.
I then turn to Luna and clap my hands together, slowly open them revealing my black lightning jumping between my hands and fire it at full power at Luna before she could react. I spin on the spot and back hand Celestia. “Sneak attacks only work once,” I said rushing after Celestia she tried to teleport but I was faster and grabbed her by the horn and repeatedly punched her in the face.
Before throwing to the ground with even more force than last time, Luna kame up from behind me and tried slicing me with her sword, I spin around and grab Luna’s sword by the blade with my left hand and snap the blade. I discharge a magic pulse knocking Luna back Celestia fly’s up next to Luna they look at each other both out of breath.
“How disappointing I’ve trained for over a year in the lost caverns of power for this day, and now I see that I’ve wasted my time forcing my power into unnatural and unsafe levels for nothing,” I said becoming furious at myself for wasting time.
“What is that support to mean?” Celestia asked wiping blood from her face.
“The last time we met both of your magic powers were 45.500 each, and mine was 72.600 but right now after all that training, my power is now 25.978.545 and the sad part is both of you have done nothing to increase your own power in this time,” I said revealing just how much I now poses which made Celestia and Luna look like they were going to shit
“All remaining forces retreat to Canterlot,” Celestia shouted in the Royal Canterlot Voice before grabbing Luna and teleporting back to Canterlot.
“Cowards running with their tails between their legs, but they can’t hide from me forever,” I said looking down at the fleeing soldiers, half tempted to kill the all but I decide to spare them. I return to the ground and walk back to Twilight and Cadence “They’ve retreated to Canterlot we should go after them before they setup a defence,” I suggested.
“Rogue we don’t have the numbers for an attack, besides if we go the Empire will be unguarded,” Cadence said in protest.
“I understand protecting your people takes priority… I will go alone and end this,” I said reaching my right hand back and drawing my new sword from my back. The sword is a cross guard broadsword with a 40 inch blade and has a two handed grip with a ring pommel “Before I go Twilight where are the girls?” I asked looking around but not seeing them.
“Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow, Pinkie, AJ, their all dead Celestia killed them so the magic of friendship couldn’t be used against her,” Twilight answered her voice cracking and tears streaming from her.
“I’m sorry Twilight I wasn’t there to save them, but I give you my word I will avenge them and every other innocent life lost in this war,” I said with vengeance coming to mind, I turned around took a breath as the news sinks in, then I teleport directly above Canterlot.
I look down at a shield protecting the city “Let’s see how strong that shield is,” I said taking my sword in both hands and raising it above my head and focus, my magic spirals up the blade “GETSUGA TENSHO!” I shout and swing my sword releasing the attack.

“Don’t say I didn’t give you the chance to leave,” I said and raise my new sword and I run at them my red magic spiralling up the blade, I swing my sword releasing the magic as a high density wave of energy that vaporises everything in front of me, Continuing to travel slamming into the castle doing massive damage.
Half the castle was collapsed from my attack and I slowly walk forward, I see some of the residence of Canter lot hiding from me in ails and shops, all of them have looks of absolute terror on their faces, “I guess I look like a monster to them now,” I said picking up my pace to a run.
I reach the main gates of the castle and jump over the gate entering the castle grounds, as expected the Guards were on high alert after my attack damaged the castle. “Where’s Celestia and Luna tell me and I might let you live?” I asked pointing my sword at the Guards.
“Form lines and attack,” the Guard shouted but it only took me a matter of seconds to kill them all. I make my through the now crumbling, corridors and passageways of Canterlot castle until I’m standing in front of the large doors to the throne room. I use a telekinetic blast to shatter the doors into splinters, I walk in and see my targets on the far side of the room “No more running this ends here,” I said locking my gaze on them.
“Stay away from us you MONSTER!” Luna shouted and sent a bolt of lightning at me, didn’t bother moving because any spell they use will be too week to do anything to me at my level of power.
“LUNA NO!” Celestia screamed tears running down her face “I’ll kill for this Outlander.” Celestia threatened.
“No I’m going to end this here and now, so beg mercy from your God because I will show none,” I said before vanishing from sight and reappearing in front of Celestia, with my sword in her throat and ripped her head off “I’m sorry it didn’t have to be this way,” I said to myself and teleported back to the Crystal Empire I stayed out of sight and found Twilight.
“What is it?” Twilight asked walking over to me I put my hand on her shoulder and teleport both of us to what remains of my safe house “Why did you bring me here?” Twilight asked.
“Because it’s done Celestia and Luna are dead and I’m leaving Equestria forever this is are final good bye,” I answered opening my pocket universe and walking in a few minutes later I walk out wearing the armor outfit Black Wing made for me and I put my old clack on over my armor.
“Where will you go?” Twilight asked.
“I'm going into the frozen north in exile, so stay safe because I’m not going to be around to save you anymore, so good bye my friend,” I said and teleported Twilight back to the Empire, while I stayed at what remained of my safe house and I walked off into the distance, knowing my actions would go down in legends for better or worse.

Chapter 1: Just another day

My name is Rogue Daranau I’m 19 years old six feet tall Male I have white skin red eyes and hair whiter than fresh fallen snow and no I’m not albino. I know that don’t sound very human but that’s because of my magic it changes my appearance. Any way it was a normal day I got out of bed later than usual around 9:00am looked around sit up and get out of bed stand up walk over to the window. Open the curtains and look out ye it’s a good day to be Welsh if I remember the weather forecast was sunny all day. “I’m in a good mood today,” I said to myself.
I turn around grab my Black and silver dressing gown off the door hook and head to the shower, when I get to the shower I strip off turn on the shower and take the time to clean everywhere, and I mean everywhere my hair my arm pits around 30 minutes later I was out of the shower and getting dressed, I put on a set of blue jeans my Cyan crystal necklace from my younger sisters, a red long sleeve t-shirt a set of brown leather hiking shoes that were comfortable.
After I got dressed I grab my custom lightsaber and went down stairs to the garden that had a six foot fence all round, and started to practice lightsaber form 5 which is the same style used by Anakin Skywlaker in revenge of the Sith. (If anyone is wondering what the lightsaber in this story looks like, you can find a link to my YouTube video of it in the authors note’s).
I had been doing my training for almost an hour when I felt strange and stopped then the feeling got stronger and I fell to my knees and passed out lightsaber in hand and belt clip on my belt.

I felt like shit after I came too and the first thing I notice is a fucking forest, I sit up letting the skull splitting ponding in my head pass, when it has passed I get on my feet look around my surroundings. “Strange I don't know this woodland it's not from my home town, ok I should do a check of what I have on me ok so still got my phone my wallet and my lightsaber, fuck the stunt blade is gone,” I said to myself but the battery if fully charged, so I press the activation button and to my surprise the blade came out and the hum of the blade was like angles sinning to me.
“Right let’s see still got my clothes, shoes and necklace, so I think I will go that way direction,” I said pointing a finger just as I start to move I hear a roar like nothing on earth. “Ok I have seen a lot of wild life documentaries, and I have never heard anything like that time to get moving,” I said not wanting to find out what the roar came from.
Around an hour of running later yes I ran that whole time it helps that I’m in really good shape, I stop when I come across an old fort it looks like one of the forts from Skyrim, but completely abandoned so I decide to check it out, might find something useful and I can take a break from the running.
“Time for an adventuring,” I say as I enter the grounds of the fort and notice a stair case made of stone to the left, so I walk up onto the wall and notice half the fort is over a cliff “Shit need to be careful.” I said to myself.
I decide to enter the fort through a door and look around “Oh wait this is an armoury,” I said looking left and see a big stained glass window on the far side, I take a look around but all the gear here is rusted beyond use, from the corner of my eye I see something that can be used, it's a dark grey cloak with a hood that has an Assassin’s Creed stile hood point.
“Nice,” I said as I reach out grab it and put it on and find what’s left of a mirror and look at myself I turn around and put the hood up not noticing shadows cover my face. I go back outside not sure where to go “I should find a view point,” I said looking for a high place “Top of that tower should be high enough,” I said heading to the tower, when I got to the top I was able to see for miles all round.
“Is that a town on the other side of this forest… ye it is wait is that a castle I guess this forest was not always hear,” I said in surprise “Now that I have a direction it’s time to move,” I said to myself but out of nowhere my phone started to ring so I pulled it out of my pocket and answered.
All I got was static and the battery got very hot very fast so I drop my phone and the fucking battery exploded. “Fuck my music! It’s going to be a long walk,” I said as I leave the fort.
