Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today, I get to watch over the Friendship Palace while Twilight and all of our other friends are out having a nice camping trip in the Everfree. I wish them luck with it. After all, having endured a brave and exciting camping trip myself not so long ago, I can safely say that it'll be an experience for them at the very least. Besides, it'll give them a chance to have a break from all those other ponies who keep wanting their time and attention. Like that one photographer mare who came along this morning. What was her name again? Meh, can't remember. That's just a good sign as to how many ponies come along for them these days.

Meanwhile, I'm just gonna kick back and enjoy myself. Well, more or less. There are of course a few chores I need to see to here and there. There always will be when you live in a home as massive as this one. Oh, and then there's all that other Princess paperwork I volunteered to help out with again. But hey, that's just all the more reason to give Twilight a moment to herself and her friends. And yeah, I really hope they have fun out there. Granted, the Everfree isn't always the most pleasant of places, but I guess after all the times they've been there, they're just kinda used to it by now.

Anyways, gotta fly. I've got a bowl of gems with my name on it before I get to my chores.
