Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

You know, Diary, there are some things in life that you can just tell will happen. The sun will rise, birds will sing in the trees, and Twilight will inevitably go crazy because things have gone just slightly differently to how she's planned. It's just one of those inevitabilities that life has to offer. And you know, having spent my entire existence with her, you'd have thought I'd grow used to it by now, yet here I am, constantly being taken aback by her when she goes that way. Just when you think she can't get any more focused and obsessed with something, she pulled out all the stops and manages to go just that little bit further.

It's actually kind of impressive, when you stop and think about it. It's like a personal record for her. Think you've gone as far as you can go? Boom! You go further! I guess it's something to be admired, in a weird kind of way. Most wouldn't consider a simple trivia game to be a cause for a personal quest to be the craziest pony alive, yet here's Twilight, proving them wrong. I've had my fair share of moments where I can sit back and watch the train-wreck happen, but it's pretty encouraging to know that, even after all this time, Twilight can still manage to surprise me.

...Either that or I'm just going as crazy as she is, either way works.
