Noticing both of them steeping away in the horizon he finally sat down and start to think to himself. 'This can't be real. All of this time she had a plan with HER. Those stupid caring words were just her being HER. You're DEAD Sunset. I've promised you that if you broke my trust. And then I will go after Celestia. I don't care what she had to say, she betrayed my trust, goddamit. I'll wait for you in the cavern, you little bit**.'

Mortimus opened his wings and headed towards HIS cavern.

'Calm down, Mortimus. You can't be furious at her. She loved you.' he said, 'Shut up stupid brain, she betrayed your trust, she doesn't need my compassion now. She will die. I WILL KILL YOU.'

At the cavern...

Mortimus stepped inside the cavern and noticed Sunset coming towards him. After she was close enough, he jumped forward and pinned her down.

She giggled and smiled. "Wow there big guy can't wait for..." she lost track of her words when she felt claws slapping her cheek. Noticing blood spill out from her cheek she gasped and screamed. "WHat's wrong with you? What got into you?" she asked.

"What got into me?" he repeated while grinning "Some secret plan with Celestia. A plan that I wasn't aware of."

Sunset looked confused at him. "What are you talking about? I only get to the medical center. To get some medical supplies." she answered. "You know better than anypony that I hate Celestia more than I could."

He grinned as he pressed his muzzle against hers. "Well, that wasn't what I saw. You were without MY necklace. The thing that I gave to me. To show you MY TRUST towards you. And you broke it. Now there's nothing that could stop me from attacking and it the worst scenario, ended up killing... YOU." he said.

She gasped and started to squirm and shaking her body when she noticed his paw raising. Her shakes and squirms made her saddlebag open and a small thing got out from it. Mortimus stoped his threatening behavior and lowered his paw, grabbing the small object.

Noticing two vertical lines on the small screen, "What is this, Sunset?" he asked while holding the strange object near her muzzle, "Tell me, what is this? Why did it have these lines? And why did you keep it?"

Sunset pushed her muzzle forward and licked his cheek this reaction made him flinch and trade gaze with her. "It worked... you were right, the spell failed, the scan was intended to work that way. She messed with my self-scanning magic."

Mortimus calmed himself down and looked at her cheek. "Sunset... I" he said while looking at his cheek and to his claws. "No...NO....NO...Blood... Blood in my claws... Get away from me," he said while opening his wings and headed towards the cavern exit.

Sunset tried to follow him. "Wait, Mortimus."

She followed behind him. Through the woods, she kept following his tracks until a magical shot got her from behind that send her flying against a tree. Feeling a little hurt, especially on her head she finally opened her eyes and noticed Celestial guards raising their weapons at her. "Stay down. Celestia is coming. Your crimes against our nation had come to an end."

"Stay away from me," she screamed as she tried to ignite her horn. "Why can't I use any kind of magic?"

Looking around her she noticed a nullifier unicorn that was stopping her from using her magic.

"Now surrender to us and keep trotting towards us, very slowly," he ordered.

"NEVER. You need to kill me if you want me to meet Celestia" she threatens while she spits towards the guard.

"Alright, I see that you choose the hard way. On your marks...", Sunset closed her eyes. "Fire---"

A scream was coming from behind of them and in an instant a large thing was blocking the spells.

Sunset opened her eyes and saw a large creature on top of her.

"YOU KEEP AWAY FROM HER. NOW." he threatens.

"You can't do nothing we have a nullifier unicorn here." he smiled at him.

"You had one." he corrected the guard.

The unicorn looked behind him and saw that the nullifier was split limb for limb.

"You monster. It was necessary to cut him in pieces."

He nodded. "You guys messed up with MY Princess. You will pay for this."

Mortimus started to ignite his magic on his left paw and shot it against them, a large shield blocked his magic and an Alicorn appeared near them.

"I see that the both of you keep together after what happen, huh," Celestia said. "Why don't you tell him about our plan Sunset?"

"Plan what plan. What she is talking about Mortimus?" she asked.

"That's what I wanted to know," he answered.

"Maybe I can tell it to both of you. Come here, Sunset."

From behind Celestia, a double Sunset showed up.

"Yes, what is it?" 'she' asked.

'A changeling.' Sunset said.

After a few seconds, the double started to glow and revealed his true form. "I can't believe I tricked a dragon. That was perfect don't you think?"

Celestia nodded. "Now, I want to ask you something."

She looked at them and asked. "Mortimus, for Sunset sake. I want you to join me and help me rule Equestria and I promise you that she won't be punished."

Mortimus looked at Sunset and then at Celestia, smiling like crazy. "You think that I feel for that. I won't join you, even if was the end of the world," he said. "Now, get away from us or I will kill all of you." he ignited his paw and started to shot at them when a small cry from under him surprised him.

A magical laser was aiming at Sunset's belly. "I don't think so, Mortimus," Celestia said as she grabbed the thing that he had found earlier. "Because we both know what this means, right."

"You monster. You can't do this. She..." he screamed.

"Join me and I will let her have it." she proposed.

He looked over Sunset and noticed that she was shaking her head to the sides. 'Don't do it. We could do it again.' she whispered at him.

Mortimus lowered his paw and sighed. "You win, Celestia. Just don't hurt her. I will join you. But with one condition..."

"Say?" she asked.

"You stay away from her and let her live without being threatened by you or your guards," he answered.

Celestia nodded. "And in exchange. You give me what you gave to Sunset. Deal?"

Mortimus looked under him and noticed tears on Sunset eyes. 'You don't have to do this.' she whispered. 'I know, but we don't have any choice' he whispered back. He pressed his muzzle against hers and smiled. 'You will be ok, I'll be ok. I promise.'. He raised his muzzle and traded gaze with Celestia.

"Deal," he agreed.

Celestia grabbed Mortimus with her magic and teleported her and her guards away from Sunset.

Sunset kept crying until she got courageous enough to stop. "I will rescue no matter what. I rescue once, I will rescue again."

Sunset tried to contact Twilight without success, she decided to get back to her cavern. Something was waiting for her. And that something or better someone was Spike.

At the cavern entrance...

Sunset kept her face down, while keep thinking about a plan to rescue Mortimus.

"Sunset, thank goodness you're safe," Spike said. "I thought my mom was going to kill you. I get here too late and I feared the worst." he finished.

"Hi, Spike. She got Mortimus, Spike. She got him," she said. "I need to plan something to get him out of her grasp."

Sunset kept silent for a second until something blinked in her mind. "That's it, you live there you could help me getting Mortimus out of Canterlot."

"Ok. What's your plan then?" Spike asked. "Mortimus might've attacked me in the past, but when my personal advisor come to my room warning me about what she was about to do,"

"Wait. You told him that we were here?" she asked with a furious tone.

Spike raised his paws in defense and reply. "Carl, won't tell her anything. It was a promise that we made with each other. I keep his secrets and he keeps mine,".

"Since he's Celestia advisor too, he got this info and immediately warned me. I flew as fast as could to get here," he said

"How did you know where we were living?" she asked.

"Because, I smelled your blood," he answered. "And I believe that Celestia just got here because of Chrysalis since changelings smell blood." he continued. "Speaking of blood. Who did attacked you?" he asked.

Sunset lowed her head and sobber. "Mortimus. He attacked me because he taught that I've betrayed him, but after he noticed the... the... pregnancy test. He stopped his threatening behavior."

"Why did you brought a pregnancy test if you're infertile?" Spike asked.

Sunset smiled and looked back at her belly and then to him again. "She only messed up my self-scanning magic. So when I scan myself, it would give a different kind of problem,"

Spike smiled and embraced her. "That's good news for both of you then. I'll help you, I'm against what she is doing. And maybe Twilight will help us too. I'll go contact her and I'll come back here in no time. Just don't get out of here until I arrive. Ok?"

She nodded.

Spike opened his wings and flew towards Twilight house.

Sunset got inside on the cavern, everything felt so cold and lonely without him. 'I will save you, even if it cost my life.'

One and a half hours later...

In the cavern...

Sunset was wake up by a soft touch on her shoulder. After opening her eyes he noticed that Spike has returned and he has brought Twilight to her.

"Twilight is willing to us help," Spike said. "Just tell us what you want to do and we will follow."

Sunset looked at Twilight, she nodded as a reply.

"Ok. I've got a plan... since Spike has access to Canterlot palace we should use this as an advantage for us to get near him, second he probably is always near Celestia, third there's a chance that we might get captured by her guards or by herself. Are you willing to continue? If you help me enter the palace is enough."

"We are in this together. I will try to convince my mom of what she's doing is wrong," he said.

Sunset smiled. "Thank you,".

"Alright, mission 'Rescue Mortimus from Celestia grasp' is now available," she said. "Let's go."

They nodded and decided to fly towards the Canterlot Palace.

In Canterlot Palace entrance...

Spike stepped inside covering Sunset with his wings and leading Twilight by his side.

A guard stepped in front of Spike with a suspicious look.

"Hello, little Prince. May I know your proposes to bring a mare inside the palace today?" A guard asked.

Sunset trembled inside of Spike wings with fear of being caught.

"I asked mom about this and she lets me get a friend for cooperative studying," he answered.

The guard looked suspicious at his body and finally let him get past the main door. "Good studying then."

Spike stepped inside the castle main room and let out a deep breath. He opened his wings and dropped Sunset on the floor.

"That was close," Sunset said. "I've taught that wouldn't buy."

"Then won't contest my mom's word. They don't want to upset her." Spike said.

Twilight decided to speak for the first time after all this time. "Did you know what happens to Luna?" she asked. "She stopped showing up at school and on our dreams."

"Celestia told me that she had left Equestria to never come back. I didn't get it what she meant by that or why she had to do this."

Spike and the others stepped slowly towards the Celestia main room to see if they caught Mortimus inside of it. On their way, they've found Mortimus walking around the halls. Sunset ran to him and tackled him down.

"There, there. There's no need to cry now," he said while he patted her head

"Finally, I've found you. Let's get out of here," she said accepting his display of affection.

"I know a secret passage that would take us out in an instant. Follow me" he said while he got up on his paws.

Mortimus lead the crew towards a door that for Spike was familiar.

"It's here. Get in," he said.

"Wait, it's not here. This is..."

Spike tried to warn then it was too late, Sunset was already inside the room. Spike tried to stop Twilight but it was too late to her too.

The door behind them closed with a large thud that scared them all.

"Thanks, Mortimus. Your loyalty towards me is really changing isn't it?" a familiar voice was heard inside the room.

'Celestia,' Sunset said to herself.

They looked to the spot where the voice was coming from and noticed Celestia and Mortimus was beside her.

"Wait if there's a Mortimus there. Who's this Mortimus?" Sunset asked.

She turned her head around a saw a glow coming from the 'Mortimus', after some seconds Chrysalis appeared behind them.

"Thanks, Chrysalis for your help, now I could live peacefully knowing that I had imposters amongst my ranks," Celestia said. "Am I right, Spike and Twilight?"

Spike grunted in rage and reply. "Stop this mom. You should stop, Sunset doesn't deserve this."

Celestia laughed and smiled at his stupid vision of the world. "You're like my sister, aren't you?" she asked

"What did you did yo her?" Twilight asked.

Celestia grins and answered very clearly. "I've sent her to the moon."

Everypony inside the room gasped in surprise.

"She was always against my decision to go after Sunset to get Mortimus. She always said that it was wrong and blablablabla. Then she got up on my nerves and to shut her up I sent her to the moon, so NOPONY will interfere with my plans of controlling all Equestria and the WORLD. NOPONY WILL STOP ME. When my most powerful warrior will be born."

"Am I right, Mortimus?" she asked.

"In your dreams. You're insane," he answered.

He cried and whimpered in pain after she tried the shock collar on his neck.

"STOP," Sunset said. She tried to ignite her horn but without success.

Celestia laughed and smiled at her try to cast something, "Would you think that I wouldn't protect this place against your magic type. Try that again I want to see it."

Sunset tried to ignite her horn again but without success. "Curse you."

"Told you. You can't use your magi---" she was shut up by a blast.

When Celestia recovered from the recent attack she noticed smoke coming from Spike paw.

Celestia gasped and immediately created a shield around her. "How can you cast magic? Are you a magic dragon too?"

Spike smiled and ready another spell. "I've lost my temper, Celestia. Free Mortimus. Lets us speak with a fight, don't be a pussy and shield yourself like that."

Celestia grins and dispelled her shield and created a blast around her that sent everypony fight across the room. "Don't try me. You will lose Spike. Now guards. Cage them, sent Spike to his room and cage him on his bed I will personally speak with him later. I need to discuss the punishment with them."

The guards pounced on the invaders caging Sunset and Twilight inside her room and send Spike to his room caging them in his bed.

The guards inside the room were acting ferociously against Twilight and Sunset.

"Now give to each one fifty whip strikes," Celestia demanded.

The guards nodded and got their whips ready

Noticing that this could be dangerous to Sunset Mortimus knelled and asked.

"Your majesty, permission to speak," he said.

Celestia looked at him and notice the display of honor her was giving.

"Go ahead," she said.

"I kindly ask to not whip, Sunset in her current state," he begged.

Celestia grins and stepped towards Mortimus and raised his chin. "What could you give me?" she asked.

"The same thing she has growing inside of her," he answered while pointing towards Sunset. "I will do it if you spare her."

Celestia smiled and said. "Of course. I would be a monster if I killed a growing fetus, don't you think?"

"Of course not, your majesty but it could give a bad reputation to your Highness," he said.

"That's true, well spoke." Celestia let his chin go and trotted towards Sunset cage. "Dear guard you heard my MATE. This pony here will be freed of the whip strike. Any wish prisoner?" she asked Sunset.

Sunset looked at Twilight. "Your majesty, she was your personal student. You can't punish her like this because of bad behavior that it wasn't her that committed."

"She was following your orders," Celestia said. "So she is considered guilty."

"I'm not saying that she isn't guilty but give her this kind of punishment. Don't you think that would be harsh to her?" she asked.

"What are you trying to say?" Celestia asked while maintaining that maniacal grin.

"Change the punishment," she answered.

"It's your last wish, prisoner?" Celestia asked.

Sunset nodded.

Celestia grinned and laughed, "You think you can trick me, Sunset. Remember you said you don't have any more wishes, right." she said.

Sunset gasped and Twilight gulped.

"Guard, take Twilight to the execution block. She will be executed by her own--- brother." Celestia laughed maniacally and grabber Sunset's chin. "See."

Shining Armor gasped and knelled himself towards her. "I'm not complaining about your kindness, your majesty but my sister did everything she could, she was always loyal to you your High---"

A magical beam was shot at Shining Armor that sent him flying across the room. "I knew you would do that. But she will be executed no matter what she did."

"Send her away," Celestia said.

Twilight screamed and cried in a desperate way to try to get Celestia's attention.

"I don't need you anymore, my dear. I've all that I want." Celestia said. "Now good luck in DYING." she laughed while she heard her screams getting low until it became complete silence in the room and the adjacent halls.

"You monster," Sunset said. "How could you?"

Celestia turned her gaze towards her and stepped towards her. Mortimus got scared and run to her side grabbing her back legs.

"Your majesty, this is just an outbreak, everypony as one. Don't need to become enranged by a simple outbreak," he said. "Let's not wait anymore. I can't wait for your Highness to feel happy. Let's go to your bedroom, your pet is willing to help."

Celestia smiled and looked at Sunset. "See. I told you, you can't trick me."

While Celestia was being led by Mortimus she noticed a small eye blink from Mortimus. 'But he can.'

Carl, the personal advisor was hidden inside Celestia main hall and ran at top speed towards Spike room.

"HALT!" a guard said. "Who goes there?"

Carl panicked and grabbed a stray with some food on it.

"It's Carl, my dear," he said. "I've been ordered by Celestia to bring food to Spike. She will come here after she finishes her time with Mortimus,"

The guard looked confused at him and confirmed if there weren't any lethal item between the food. He opened the door and lead him inside. The door closes behind him.

"Spike, SPIKE. You've to get up. Celestia is going to kill Twilight," he said.

"What's the point of raising myself against her," he said.

"Twilight is part of your hoard. You're a dragon you protect your hoard with your life. NO MATTER WHAT." he said. "Now get you ass from that bed," he said while charging his horn. "And go help her."

Spike got out from his cage and headed towards the door, Carl panicked and ran towards the door blocking the way.

"You can't go this way. They'll spot will easily," he said. "Go to the execution block by the roof."

He looked behind him and noticed that his bedroom window was open.

"Go help her man," Carl said.

"What about you?" he asked.

"I'll try to buy you some time, now go," Carl answered.

Spike stepped towards his bedroom window and started to climb the castle roof and headed towards the execution block.

"Now the distraction bait," he said.

Carl stepped out of the Spike room and screamed. "SPIKE GOT AWAY. HE ATTACKED ME AND FLEW TOWARDS THE EVERFREE FOREST."

"He won't escape Celestia grasp. Let's go we need to bring him back here."

The guards got their weapons and moved towards the Everfree Forest.

'Perfect. Just hope you get the same luck as I got.'

Celestia woked from their recent 'lovemaking' because of loud movements around the castle. She got out of her bedroom and asked one of the guards.

"What's going on?" she asked, "I'm sleeping over here,".

"Spike has escaped. He was seen to fly towards the Everfree Forest." the guard answered.

"Dammit, get him. He can't tell anypony what I'm doing here. I'll be with you in a minute," she said.

The guard bowed himself and trotted towards the castle main doors.

Celestia entered her bedroom again and started to change herself.

"Where're you going your highness?" he asked.

"One of the prisoners has escaped. I'll get him. Just to certify that you won't escape I will tie you up to the bed. I'm sorry," she said.

Metal chains got his front paws attached to the bed.

"Just don't take so long. I'll be waiting for you," he said.

Celestia opened her bedroom door and trotted towards the main doors. Taking the path to the Everfree Forest.

"Dammit, I need to get out of here," he said.

Suddenly the bedroom door opened and a unicorn stepped inside. "Keep yourself quiet," Carl said. "I don't know if there are guards inside the castle."

"Who are you?" he asked.

"A friend. Now stand still and let me free you," he said.

Carl ignited his horn and with a bit of effort the chains broke and Mortimus was free.

Mortimus stretched his paws in an attempt to decrease the pain on it.

"Thank you," he said. "I need to get Sunset, you know where she is?" he asked.

"She's in the main hall," Carl indicated. "I can't open those cages. They're out of my magic skill, sorry,"

Mortimus patted his shoulder and said. "You've done enough."

Mortimus exited the main bedroom and headed towards the main hall.

Mortimus opened the door and headed towards Sunset's cage.

"You're here," she said. "What happens? Why everypony got away so fast?" she asked

"I don't know," he answered.

Carl grinned and laughed, "It was me and my plan. I've created a false report that Spike had escaped but he got after Twilight. When Celestia comes back she will face all of you."

"Can you get her out?" Mortimus asked.

"I'm sorry but as I said to you before, these cages are behind my magical skill," he answered, "It's useless to open them."

Sunset turned herself to Mortimus and said.

"You need to get to them," she ordered.

"None sense," he said. "I won't leave you here,"

"Listen to me," she said. "Celestia fears you if you threaten her with your magic she won't think twice about surrendering to you."

"But what about you?" he asked.

"I'll be alright," she answered. "Now keep Spike and Twilight protected at all cost."

He nodded. "Understood. I'll be back for you I promise."

Mortimus got out of the main hall and headed towards the execution block.

"Great one. Now," Carl said, "Let's free the little princess."

Carl focused his magic and opened the cage.

Sunset gasped and kept his mouth wide open.

"But you said you couldn't open the cage," she said.

"I know but what's the fun to see a couple embracing each other in a time like this, huh," he said.

"Come on we don't have so much time before Celestia discover who spread the rumor," he said, "She knows that I was going to betray her sooner or later,"

"Now there's a little passage here that will take you to the execution block, follow it quickly," he ordered.

Sunset crawls by the small hole in the floor and looked back at him. "Thank you," she said.

As he saw Sunset disappearing in the shadows of the hole he waited patiently in the main room.

In the execution block...

Two guards were swinging their whips against the wall to keep them durable enough to strike Twilight body.

One of the guards raised the whip and stroke the flanks of Twilight, that screamed in the process. The other one stroke her back. After a few whips strike small bruises and whip marks were appearing along her body.

Twilight started to feel her body shaking and her legs gave up all the strength they had. "Please, no more. I yield," she said while tears started to failing from her eyes.

The guards grabbed Twilight body and drove her towards the execution block. The ropes were tied around her body and her head was grappled to the chopping block, one of the guards grabbed the execution weapon and headed towards the chopping block, he raised the weapon and finally---

*THUD*

*Crunch**GULP*

Spike had jumped on top of Twilight squashing and swallowing the guard body.

When Twilight opened her eyes and decided to look up, she saw Spike covering her body denying the guard from moving towards her.

"Now you gonna free her and gonna apologize to her, and it will be, based on my mood, if I'm gonna eat you or not" Spike screamed.

The guard trembles and looked at where his friend blood was. He kept trembling while cutting the ropes that were around Twilight. After a few seconds, she was free and the guard knelled himself and begged for an apology.

"I'm sorry," he said. "I shouldn't do this, I'm really sorry."

Twilight got to his side and patted his shoulder. "I know I shouldn't accept your apology but..."

Spike roared and pressed his muzzle against his. "Now. Just get away from my sight," he demanded.

The guard tripped in his hooves and ran as fast as he could until he couldn't see the dragon anymore.

After a few moments, Mortimus had found then safe and sound, at the same moment, Sunset appeared under Mortimus.

In the Everfree Forest entrance...

No sight of the dragon around, Celestia was becoming impatient and grabbed one of the guards.

"Why is taking so long?" she asked.

"I don't know, my princess," he answered. "I don't understand. Carl told me that saw Spike flying towards here,"

Celestia's eyes burned in rage. "Now I get it. Get back to the castle, he never left the castle."

Celestia teleported herself away from there and appeared in the main room. "Sunset dear is time too..."

Celestia looked around and saw that her cage was empty.

"You've lost Celestia." a familiar voice was heard.

"You," Celestia screamed.

Celestia turned herself around and saw Carl standing next to her. She used her magic and grabbed him by his neck.

"Where's he?" she asked, "WHERE ARE THEY?" she asked again while pressing down his neck.

Carl squirmed and shook himself in pain trying to free himself from his grasp. "You won't stop them, Celestia."

Celestia screamed in rage and pressed again until it broke Carl's neck.

Screams from the main hall were heard by Celestia she trotted towards the source. The guard continued to look behind so he didn't notice Celestia standing before him, he tripped on Celestia's hoof and tried to get up again but felt a magical aura.

"What is this screaming all about?" she asked.

"Spike---Spike is at execution block," he answered.

That's all she needed to know. She dropped the guard on the floor and teleported herself to the execution block. He kept running and running until he lost track of the castle. He was safe.

In the execution block...

Celestia appeared behind them and used her magic to spread them all.

"What I've told you, Spike you can't win," Celestia said.

She charged up her horn and shoot some magical beam that was easily defected by his shield.

After some beams defected, his shield started to lose power.

Seeing this as an opportunity she charged up his horn and shoot a magical beam at him.

"DIE." she screamed.

Spike used himself as a shield to protect Twilight from the beam.

Mortimus noticed that could be dangerous for both of them so he sprinted and ignited his paw.

"NO. MORTIMUS. YOU CAN'T BLOCK IT IN TIME" Sunset screamed.

Mortimus decided to jump towards it and shoot a beam towards Celestia. The beam got past Mortimus body and was moving towards SPike but was deflected by Sunset magic.

Celestia was too busy laughing and congratulating herself that she had won that she hadn't noticed the beam that was shot at her, this beam hit her head and got out from her heart, killing her instantly.

Mortimus was sent flying towards Spike since Sunset shield was active Mortimus body stopped by the shield and felt beside him.

Looking back he saw Celestia body slowly evaporating itself until there's all gone.

"Spik..*cough*e..." Mortimus tried to speak.

Noticing Mortimus body beside him he left Twilight and ran to his aid. When he finally reached his side, what he saw really made him almost to throw up. The beam hit his chest and got out from his heart, leaving a large hole where it could be seen the way the beam took.

"Yes," he said. "I'm here,"

Mortimus raised one of his paws and said. "I'm sorry, I killed your momma."

Spike shook his head to the sides and reply. "Momma. A momma would do that. I think not."

"*cough*, you know that Sunset is---*cough, cough*,", he had the struggle to find the right word since he had been coughing blood all the time he speaks.

"Say no more. She already told us," he said.

"Could you keep an eye on her for me?" he asked.

Spike looked over Sunset who to his sight was in slow motion running towards them, looking back at him he simply replies. "I'll do, ma boy."

Mortimus grinned and laughed maniacally, "WHo's the loser now, Celestia? HUH,HAHAHAHAAH-----".

Spike noticed his paw to slowing getting to the floor. He closed his eyes and waited for what he was waiting for.
