The Rainbow Fire: Spitdash Oneshots
Stupid Flank
Previous ChapterNext ChapterRainbow Dash walked out of the locker room as she stretched out her wings. She was ready for a long day of training, because the Wonderbolts had a big tour coming up soon. They would be traveling all over equestria, so they had extra practice this week; They might not have access to a big place to train for a while.
Rainbow jumped as she heard a loud, high pitched screetch of a whistle near her.
"CRASH!" Spitfire yelled from down the flight runway. "GET YOUR FLANK OVER HERE AND START YOUR WARM UP LAPS!"
The rainbow headed mare shook from her thoughts as her head snapped to attention. "Yes ma'am." She replied sheepishly as she flew over to the field.

Rainbow Dash was so done. She couldn't concentrate all day. Spitfire's stupid flank was in her face the whole time since she is right behind the captain in the formation for the next show. The worst part was that she kind of liked it.
As the cyan mare was about to head to the mess hall, she heard her name being called from somewhere behind her.
"Hey, Dash." She heard again, as she whipped her head around to see a flame headed mare leaning against the wall behind her.
Rainbow's eyes widened as her face flushed, causing the yellow mare's face to slowly morph into a smirk.
"Oh, uh... Hey Spitfire." Rainbow chuckled nervously as she awkwardly looked towards the floor.
"You seem kind of out of it today, Dashie." Spitfire said, suppressing a giggle at the other mares suddenly shy attitude.
"Yeah." Dash said with a sigh. "Maybe I'm just tired." She lied as she looked up at Spitfire.
"Well, since practice is over for today, I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my place today. Maybe we can improve our routines and stuff." The yellow pegusus suggested, smirking knowingly as Dash's eyes lit up.
"Sure! I would love to!"

After having eaten a pretty hearty lunch, Spitfire and Rainbow Dash were relaxing on the couch. While the cyan mare looked through the flight formation charts for their tour, Spitfire seemed to be in deep thought, as she had yet to finish observing the same chart for almost an hour. Thankfully, her cadet seemed to be too absorbed in her planning to notice.
The yellow mare's thoughts were interrupted by Rainbow's voice.
"Hey, Spitfire?" The cyan mare called hesitantly.
"Yeah?" The captain replied as she put down the chart she had been 'observing'.
"Do you think we can maybe... change the formation a bit?" She asked sheepishly while her gaze shifted away from the flame headed mare. "Maybe spread it out more?"
Spitfire looked at Rainbow with question. "Why spread it out?"
The cyan mare's face flushed a deep scarlet as she looked at the floor. She tried to think of the best way to explain it.
"Well... y-your flank is kind of... right in my f-face the entire time." Dash whispered, her face somehow more red than it was before.
Spitfire smirked devilishly at Rainbow's realization. " I know. I did it in purpose."
The captain's smirk only grows as Rainbow Dash's eyes widen.
"Wait, what?!" The cyan mare squeaked as her head shot back up.
"Well, you always stare at my flank during practice, anyways. I figured I'd just help you out." Spitfire teased as Rainbow looked back to the floor.
"I didn't think you noticed." The nervous cadet said with a sheepish smile.
"Do you still want to change the formation, Dashie?" Spitfire asked teasingly.
Rainbow sighed before shaking her head no. Spitfire's face turned mischievous, casing the cyan mare to momentarily rethink her life choices.
"Good call, Dash. I'm sure you won't regret it." Spitfire said with an evil chuckle as she resumed 'observing' the flight charts. She had a plan to come up with.
