//-------------------------------------------------------// Power Lottery -by Khanathara- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Powers //-------------------------------------------------------// Powers I was on the website https://powerlotterychallenge.weebly.com/ in an attempt to try and make a character for a story, with maybe a little bending (ok breaking) of the rules so as to get powers that makes sense together. However when I hit the Next Page button I was met with an unexpected result. Instead of taking me to the next page my chair, and the floor under it, dropped out from under me causing me to fall onto a hard metal table where I was swiftly held down by a large number of straps. "Ah, hello volunteer number 63720985. It's so nice for you to help us with our experiments." An androgynous voice said to me. "It's so nice have another test subj-ahem volunteer with us again." The speaker now standing over me I saw that they were wearing a lab coat fully buttoned up, their head topped with dark black hair and goggles around there neck, their piercing yellow eyes looking strait in to mine. I tried to speak only for another strap with rubber padding to snap into place between my teeth. "Don't you worry subjec-volunteer 63720985. We are only going to test a new mutation serum to see its affects on a mortal body." They said bringing the goggles up to cover their eyes. "U-uh, Dr? Didn't we g-get ordered by the council to s-stop abducting the m-mortals and have them actually volunteer?" A quiet and shaky voice said. "Why of course! Why do you think we made the inter-dimensional site that dose that for us?" The one above me more stated than asked. "B-but-" The voice tried but was cut off. "Enough! Let the test begin!" The 'Dr.' said while clapping their hands. I instantly felt pain as a number of unseen needles plunged into me allover my body and I screamed in pain and shock. I could fell the large needles digging deep into my flesh, a fair number of them digging into my bones. The one that caused the most amount of pain priced the base of my skull and I felt it slid into my brain stem causing me to lock up, only my heart and lungs allowed to keep moving so I didn't die. The table I was on was then lowered into a dark yellow-green fluid that had the consistency of honey that began to slowly filled my lungs, an electrical shock shot threw the fluid causing it to begin bubbling and boiling into me, cooking me alive. But then a cooling sensation began to spread, healing me, however I barely noticed it though my agony. How long this went on I don't know but I swiftly went numb to the pain and was eventually pulled out of the viscous fluid and left to dry. An indeterminable amount of time went by before the Dr. interacted with me, or at least tried to. "Alright test subject, how do you feel? Strong? Powerful? Fast?" They asked me but I could only groan, my mind numb. "Isen! Take the subject to testing room 39028 and get it to test its new powers." "D-dr. I don't think that the v-volunteer is in the right mind set to do anything right now." "Nonsense, this is not to different than our usual mutagen. It's just meant for immortals." The Dr. said the last part under their breath. "She'll be fully cognitive by the time we get him in the testing chamber. Probably." "I-if you say so Dr." "Oh, before you go. Number 63720985 just remember: There is someone more powerful than you working here, and I enjoy having my labs intact." I was vaguely aware of being moved threw an impossibly large facility and being carefully set on the ground in the middle of a room where the walls were around five football fields away in all directions. But other than that my mind was to numb to processes anything. "Isen," I heard the Dr.'s voice over what must have been an intercom. "What ability's has the subject displayed?" "T-the volunteer has only been lying down unmoving D-dr." Isen sounded to be right next to me. "WHAT? It has been three years on the subjects home planet, how is it still simply lying there?" The Dr. asked incredulously. "Never mind, it doesn't matter. We have kept our volunteer for the maximum amount of time the council will allow. Hmmm, we can't drop him off in her home world, he would stand out like a bone-saw in a rib-cage. But none of its closest parallels would work either. Hmmm, Ah ha! I got it. We'll drop her in Faustian System Equis 332393." "But D-dr. the volunteer would stand out there as well." Isen said before the doctor could simply do that. "Then we'll put her in a inter-dimensional species changer and make him something that would make sense in that world, the powers she has will most likely have an affect on its form. We will have to make sure ze is placed far into the systems past but not so fer as to seem as unnatural." The Dr. said. "B-but Dr, you know Faust hates it when anyone messes with her worlds in possibly determental ways." "I know, Faust is also the one with the most influence on the Eldritch Council that is against me and my work." And without any more preamble the Dr. lifted me up and dropped me in what I assume was a inter-dimensional species changer and opened a portal under it. As I fell into a new world the last thing I heard was. "Now for the next experiment to begin on this one. What was their name Isen?" "It was-" Author's Note Powers our MC will have. Ink Blood had began to look into a recently discovered form of magic. This new magic was dark as the heart of a ne'er do well, and coruptive to boot. As such it was swiftly band from use out side of special circumstances, such as making a spell to find and identify it in a hundred mile radius. Ink was putting the final touches on the spell when he felt a disturbance that caused him to drop his Pegasus writing quill. He swiftly shook him self out of his shock and ran to his window to see a star falling from the sky. Within a minuet it had crashed to the ground and if he hadn't been awake already the shaking earth from the star would have done so, if the sudden shock form its powerful magic hadn't awoke him already. "The King and Queen require you in the throne room, Immediately!" A guard burst into his study and informed him, knocking Ink Blood out of his stupor. "Yes, of course." The two hundred and fifty year old stallion said, making his way there. In the throne room the King, Queen, and the High Mage council were all waiting for the High Mage Adviser when he got there. "Ink Blood, it is good to see you." Said King Spear Head. "Do you have any knowledge of what caused that wave of magic?" "It was most likely another of his failed spells." Spat the youngest member of the Mage council, Dark Mage Disorder, added to the council with the discovery of the new magic. "This is not the time for your mockery, Disorder." Ink said before anyone could reprimand the young upstart. "A star has fallen in the north. In the territory's of the earth bound nomads." "Are you sure of this, Ink?" Queen Blade Sheath asked. "Yes, your Highness. I saw it with my own eyes." "Get me the Captain of the Guard! We move at first light!" The King announced" ......... Warrior Queen Wind was awoke by the shuddering of the sky. She rose from her cloud and scanned the sky, expecting an attack form the mystics. But what she saw instead was the entirety of her people watching the sky as a star fell in the distance, far out side of her territory in the land of the western nomad tribes. Fallen Stars were rare and known to have many strong and mystical metals. The mystics stole the last one from her people two hundred years ago when she was but a foal, she would not let the mystics have this one. "WARRIORS! WE LEAVE FOR THE FALLEN STAR AT FIRST LIGHT!" Wind shouted. "THE MYSTIC COWARDS WILL NOT HAVE THIS ONE! PER ARDUA AD ASTRA!! ......... Scout was settling in for the night. He was, as his name suggest, scouting head of his tribe to make sure all was safe. Scout would normally only scout the area four days ahead of the tribe and then make his way back. As of now he was only half a days walk from the tribe on his return trip. If he had the wings of the sky walkers, or even a horn like the mystics, he would have been back by now. But Scout and his tribe of three hundred or so were not of the sky or mystics. They were not even of the night like the leather wings. But they were stronger than the rest, and better at finding food as well. Suddenly movement caught his eye, he jolted to his hooves and looked in its direction, only to calm as it was nothing more than a flying star across the sky. Or so he thought at first. As it came closer and closer to the earth in a line straight down Scout realized that it was not flying but falling. When the star impacted Scout felt the ground beneath him shudder, mirroring his anticipation to find the fallen star. But he must meet his tribe first, for those of the night, those of the sky, and the mystics were guaranteed to be after it as well. All for there own reasons. 539 Years Later When I awoke I slowly lifted myself from the ground and felt dirt and rocks fall away from my body. Looking around I saw that I was in what appeared to be a large crater that was most definitely old as there was grass and even a tree growing inside it. I put a fore-hoof to my head trying to remember what had happened last night for me to end up here, surrounded by three statues and what I'm guessing are the kind of offerings you would leave at a temple for a god. Or something like that. Wait... Hoof? I looked at my arm to see if that was right, and... it was. My confusion skyrocketed as I attempted to process this. Last night I was on my computer doing... doing something, then there was some kind of doctor? A hospital maybe? If so, what happened? And why am I here now? I remained there, staring at my hoof, thinking for what must have been a solid hour before I shook my head and decided to try and figure it out later. I stood and began to shakily walk to the edge of the hundred foot deep crater. Noticing that I had been under some kind of gazebo as the sun assaulted my eyes and I had to blink several times to clear them. I should be panicking, right? Well I am, but I have one rule I always attempt to follow: If there is a reason to panic, then there is a reason to not panic. Do I always follow this rule? As much as I want to say yes, no, I do not. But I still try, not to mention panicking would do nothing but exhaust me. Mentally and physically. I look around as I reached the edge of the crater to see if I can find any kind of civilization nearby, and there definitely was. All around the crater was a sprawling city, a river flowed through the middle and was only thirty to forty feet from me and the crater. Walking through the town was what appeared to be horses, no, to small to be horses. Ponies? And they weren't just ponies as I was pretty sure that I saw a Unicorn in there as well as a Pegasus. "Ok.. what in the name of the ten hell's above?" //-------------------------------------------------------// Running away... Kinda //-------------------------------------------------------// Running away... Kinda I stood at the edge of the crater looking out at the city and thinking about how and where I woke. It only took a couple seconds for my foggy mind to figure two plus two equals thirty-six divided by nine. Deciding that I was better off not going into town I turned around and made my way back to the place I woke, and figuring out why I didn't notice the gazebo thing when I first looked around. It was literally nothing more than a floating ceiling about seven foot across and ten feet in the air, the three statues evenly spread under it in a circular fashion were of a Unicorn, a Pegasus, and a normal horse/pony all about as large as me. Under the gazebo and between the statues were a number of offerings, food, money, toys, as well as a number of things that didn't make as much sense. Well not to me any way. There was some kind of staff that seemed very out of place for quadrupeds, an obsidian stone with a glowing mark, and... is that a heart? I shake off the strangeness of the... the heart, hoping that they haven't been making sacrifices to me. If it was even me they were making them to that is, as there was a possibility that I had taken over some else's body. It was highly unlikely that that was the case based on my spotty memory of last night, and most of my life before then, but it was still a chance. Thinking about what was going on I would much prefer to be alone to think and process everything. Preferably unseen by the locals, even if it wouldn't take long to discover I wasn't here any more. The only way I could think of to leave unnoticed would be the river. Other wise I would undoubtedly be seen. I wasn't given long to ponder this however as I began to here voices and foot steps coming from the side opposite where I had walked to take a look. Having to quickly think I ended up forgetting to force myself to stay calm and panicked. I ran in the direction the river before I could be seen only to collapse at the edge of the crater huffing and puffing as if I had just ran a marathon... or three. However long I had been here asleep has obviously not done my body any good, and now I just had the thought that if I've been here for however long... please tell me no one did anything to me in my sleep. Someone did, didn't they? I heard a shout of alarm from behind me and my adrenalin began pumping as I shot to my hooves and ran for the river diving in as soon as I reached it. And this was a bad idea, why did I do this!? I thought to myself as the current caused me to swiftly fly down the river, knocking off several submerged boulders and hurting places that I didn't know that I had, as well as the ones I already knew of. ......... I would estimate that it was thirty minuets to an hour before I had managed to drag my self out of the river and not move for about... however long I was passed out for. After I woke for the second time that day, or maybe it was tomorrow now, I stood up and immediately felt a pain in my left back leg. Turning to look at it I said. "Ok, I know that the way legs on most quadrupedal creatures is strange to more or less all humans, but I am one hundred percent sure that the bone is not meant to be sticking out of it at a perpendicular angle. Why in the seven heavens did I leap into a river?" I heavily sat down on my right side trying to think of a way to fix my leg when I noticed something quite odd, my leg was not profusely bleeding. Instead there was ice around the wound and I could see under the thin layer of normal(?) ice that it was covering bright reddish-silver ice, which only felt like a scab or a band aid as I could not feel the cold from it. Pondering this I looked at the rest of the wounds on my body and saw much of the same, though on a lesser scale as none of the other wounds were as severe. I hope. Deciding to have this bodily inspection go further I began to take note of what I looked like. I had a light snowy blue coat with very light streaks of sunset pink that you had to actively look for to notice, an ever flowing mane and tail of rose quartz pink that faded into an iridescent shade and was lost in an ethereal mist, my tail slightly reminding me of that of an ox or lion. I didn't have wings like the Pegasi I saw earlier. No, instead I had what appeared to be large gatherings of ethereal mist in the shape of wings. The base of them were true limbs the same color as my coat but obscured by the mist so I couldn't tell if they just ended or were full wings. The ethereal mist started as the same color as my coat fading into the rose quartz color of my mane and ending in the same iridescence. Bringing a hoof to my fore head revealed that I had no horn, or at least it did until I attempted to slide my hoof to the back of my neck and it caught on something that was most likely a horn on the back of my head on the left side. With some feeling around I found one on the right side as well. They seemed curve back and then forward again in an S shape but I was unsure as to what use they would serve. Now I had one last thing that I had to check before I could end this self inspection, my memory is spoty. I can only remember tiny fragments of how I ended up here, and the rest of my life is clear as crystal in one memory and blurrier than an old fashion television without any signal in the next. So I had to check. What gender am I? I focused on my back legs with the intent to find out, however my broken leg was going to be a problem with this as I needed to move it in order to see. I slowly and carefully began to lift my leg, fully expecting it to dangle at a sickening angle, but it didn't. The ice on and in the wound seemed to keep it in the position that it was frozen in and I was able to move it without issue, aside from the pain that is. Now with the way open for me to see I looked and I saw... wait, what? There is literally nothing there. It's just smooth skin, no hot-dogs and hand grenades, no sausage wallet, no nothin'. "What kind of sick joke is this? How could they take my great and powerful bush gardener?" I said to myself, dropping my leg and severely regretting it as the pain reach my brain and the loud cracking of ice reached my ears. "MOTHER OF THE-" "D-dr.?" Isen said, getting a slight tilt of the head from the Dr. "Make it quick Isen, I'm busy with sub-volunteer 6039582." The doctor spoke, saying volunteer with enough venom to kill an entire LeeStanian universe. Isen's eyes darted to the still conscious volunteer, his chest cavity open for all to see a machine above them holding the front half of his rib cage and his organs dangled form hooks, some still attached to his body and some not. The Dr. had been experimenting on the Faustian Anthropomorphic Kirin for awhile now, injecting him with a number of different serums and mutagens. The Dr. had even surgically removed his horn to see if it worked like a unicorns did. Removing his eyes from the unwilling volunteer Isen gave the Doctor the news of 63720985 "Volunteer 63720985 h-has woken and is acting o-on her own. So far b-based on her appearance, a-and how long she has lived wi-without basic mortal needs, she seems to h-have gained a form of i-immortality. 63720985 has a-also displayed a type of ice p-power that only seems to have b-been used sub-subconsciously as of now." The news of subject 63720985 had actually surprised the Doctor at first as they had assumed that the experimental mutagen serum and the process of binding it to them had truly broken its mind. "Oh? Then I will be able to perform the test I needed for the experimental procedure now." "H-however Dr. we do have a-a problem." Isen regretfully continued his report as the Dr. turned a scathing yellow eye towards him. "T-the M-merchant has c-claimed 63720985 a-as one o-of his D-displaced T-toys." Isen paused to clear his throat. "And h-he has sent a th-three more of th-them to the same world a-at different points i-in time." "How much of my experiment has the bastard claimed, my little mortal?" The Dr. said, his voice threatening a treatment worse than existence has created so far if he didn't like his answer, his current experiment forgotten. "O-on-only e-enough s-so th-tha-t F-Faust w-woul-d rec-recigni-ize it a-as h-his." Isen said cowering behind his clipboard in a vain hope that the thin aluminum would protect him from the ancient eldritch being that is his master. "Hmm, that means that the subject is guaranteed to interact with more of his displaced even out side of its new world." The Dr. said seeming to ponder this. "It shouldn't interfere to much in any of the test that are planed for the next several hundred millennia that will be 63720985's life time." They added causing Isen to relax as his master was distracted by the bad but not to bad news. "Maybe I should perform the experiment again on another mortal, or even an immortal, and send it to the same world to see their interactions." The Dr. said much to the horror of the other two in the room. First the Unicorn Noble's came to the temple once again to 'ask' for the head priest, the one she was being trained to replace as his apprentice, Golden Words to be removed and replaced by a Unicorn and when they were denied they started to demand that she be replaced by a Unicorn. Of course they were once again denied. Then the number of Holy Relics, or Holy Tokens as the populace tended to call them, began to appear more rapidly. Instead of getting one or two a year they were appearing one or two a second, which was both good and bad as the 'Tokens' tended to summon random beings or do nothing at all. The beings being anything from ponies to strange alien critters, most of them didn't care about us as we were not 'one of them.' Or something similar to that. Others of them were the definition of evil and destruction, Vadicanter City had to be rebuilt from the ground up six times because of them, others were the exact opposite as they would help and heal. And lastly there were ponies who were pulled through the Relics and returned seconds or years latter.... or never. The chance of something bad happening was a fifty/fifty chance so the Temple had to ban interaction with them, though that didn't stop those that were power hungry and wanted to do who knows what so a guard was set up to protect them. The sudden increase in the Holy Tokens made all of this much harder as they were being activated on accident as they appeared in front of or cluttered the path of ponies. The rapid appearance of the tokens was made even worse by the fact that it started the day before the three days of worship, one day for each tribe as they refused to get along. Aside from a few accidents with the Tokens the first and second day went by without much trouble. It was the third day, the day for the unicorns, that things got worse. Both Golden Words and Glorious Praise were leading the mass of unicorns down to the crater and when they all saw the center under the floating gazebo roof a collective gasp came from all present. The Nephilim was missing and the Holy Relics were rapidly disappearing. That led to her current situation three days later, sitting in the court yard of the Temple of Faust with the laeders of the known world, the Unicorn Queen and King, the Pegasus warrior Queen, High Chieftain of the Earth ponies, Ink Blood the current God of Knowledge, Scout the current God of Travelers, Pelor the King of the Minotaur's and current god of the sun, Gruff the Griffin Queen and current God of War, Dreamless the current Goddess of the Moon, Catrina the current Goddess of Evil, Disorder the current God of Chaos, Torch The Tiny current God (or Lord as the Dragons prefer) of the Dragons, and others that were either new or unknown to Glorious Praise. All of the races of the world were represented here as all Nephilim were the children of the Overgods Faust and Daemon Tartarus, this one included and it was missing. Those at the meeting had taken a day to gather, another day to agree on those that would be sent out on a search party, and then started to yell at each other, and it is now two days later and only the Pony, Thestral, and Changeling representatives were still yelling at each other and the search party had returned with no news on the Nephilim. Glorious was about to speak up in an attempt to end the fighting when they all heard a shout that came from far, far off and carried enough force to have a decent wind blow through all there and nearly deafen them with how loud it was. Mမိፓનરે မိF ፓન CမိCမိПኮፓ ዴдરેдD Silence reigned for nearly three minuets after the exclamation for a multitude of reasons, the biggest being that most only heard gibberish. Glorious and most of the other priest and gods were either shocked or trying to process what they had just heard. The shout was in an ancient language kept alive souly on the fact that it was the instinctual language of the gods and was the language used by priest, paladins, and clerics during worship. It was a language that gave away who was shouting as all of the gods excluding the overgods were present and mortals cannot get that loud. It was the Nephilim shouting the ancient language, English. The silence of the courtyard was finally broken as Disorder fell over laughing as one of his clerics asked . "What's a Coconut Parade?" Many of the others who followed Disorder also began to breakdown in laughter while the others only remained confused. After a few minuets Disorder stifled his laughter and got up off the ground to compose himself. "Alright," He began. "As entertaining as that was I am confident that we all know that that was the Nephilim. Now if you'll excuse me I am going to take us to her." The mad God finished and with a flash of light and horrendous nausea nearly all were transported to the origin of the sound. Ink Blood was about to scold Disorder before he and everyone else noticed a hazy shadow cast over them. Turning to look at the origin of the shadow they saw the Nephilim facing away form them on the other side of a river. The Nephilim was a sight to behold, what was previously a relatively short mane and tail were now long flowing clouds of mist, large enough to be there own mobile fog banks. Above them stretched the Nephilims wings, all eight of which use to be the average size for another of her size, but were now emitting iridescent mist in the shape of wings large enough to rival a Roc. Through the haze they could see the silhouette of the Nephilim standing a little awkwardly, as if something was wrong with one of her back legs, and gazing at the sky. Curious as to what had the Nephilim's attention Glorious looked towards the sky and saw a fairly large ball of iridescent colors with two solid black lines through it. "What is that?" She questioned loud enough to get the others attention on the strange object. And loud enough to get the attention of the Nephilim who whipped her head around to see the one who spoke, the movement once again focusing the attention on her. She gazed at them with piercing pink draconian eyes her curved twin horns of fading blue to pink leaking pure magic upwards and following the movements of her head. After a few short seconds she spoke, revealing four large canines, and said . "Wનမိ iП ፓન ፓП નlls дરે yမိ-"("Who in the ten hells are yo-") She cut off as the strange ball collided with her head with enough force to leave ringing in the ears of most and her unconscious on the ground. "I Like her." Said Disorder. "Dibs on courting her." Was Gruff's follow up. Author's Note 'Author peaks his head out of the dark cave he lives in' "Are they gone?" He asked only to here a sudden rampage and hid back into his hole. Anyways on the story, I wonder what that ball could be? https://camo.fimfiction.net/aJD1tXf5pyGX8ylO3Z-QTn2_b6DfvtQkmCDMd8okhjQ?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2F2e%2Fc5%2F2f%2F2ec52f4b3c8cb2ab991642a386a62b44.png Oh, never mind. //-------------------------------------------------------// History of Religion... Or the world... //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Surprise, two in one day. :rainbowkiss: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/rainbowkiss.png History of Religion... Or the world... One of those two ......... When Faust awoke it was the beginning of time. Faust knew not what she was nor were she was, all she knew was that she was created by another of the same name and she was to create a world of her own. When she looked around she saw that she was in a near endless void. The only thing to mark the void was herself and the large mass of land she sat on. She could see, but not clearly, so she made light. A ball of pure heat and energy to float above the barren land of rock. Now with light and heat on her side she began to create out of the stone waste. From it rose mountains and sunk valleys. But the heat of her light, her sun, became to much for the land and it began to melt, forming rivers of magma and the first of the volcanoes. Faust soon came to release that not much she could make would survive the world she was on, so she began to move the sun around. But the only way to solve her problem was to use her power to rotate the sun around the land she was on. But once more came the problem of light, for she had become accustom to the sun and could hardly see when it was not above the plate of land. And so Faust took the largest of the mountains and lifted it to the sky in the form of a ball and set it on the same, yet opposite, path as the sun and gave it a light of its own that changed from a bright light to a faded dark in which she could just barely see. And so with a balance of the light and dark she began to create once more. First she made the plants and spread them far and wide, the trees, grass, and ferns among the first to be. But with time Faust grew lonely, as all things do. And so she made the first of the animals from the plants and stone, and thus was made the Timber Wolves and the Gargoyles. The first of the elemental's. With there creation there was peace throughout the world, but then came a day when one of the Timber Wolves dared to close to a volcano and burst into flames. This volcano is now known as the Flamecano, Home of the first Fire Elemental. Unlike the Timber Wolves who desired nothing but peace with the land and the Gargoyles whom wished for nothing but a peaceful life, this fire elemental, this Efreet, desired death and destruction. It turned more of its former brethren into Efreet and they spread there fire turning the peaceful Timber Wolves into fiercely territorial beast and igniting a deep in primal anger in the Gargoyles, turning them into beings of rage and magma the first of the demons. As war ravaged the land below her Faust watched on in horror, unknowing of what to do she wept, crying for her creations, and from her tears came the first rain. It rained endlessly for years as Faust wept for children, forming rivers and then the ocean. Her tears and cry's for peace among them were answered when there was but one Efreet left, his name was Ifrit. Ifrit ran from the conflicts, from the endless rain, and from the horrors of his people to a cave in the mountain of the Flamecano. In that cave he sat and he prayed for the rain to stop, for his life to be speared from the depths of the ocean that now surrounded him. Faust heard his prayers, and she stopped her tears to listen to the young flame. Ifrit asked for forgiveness for is people, to have a second chance as something else, to have a new life. And so Faust gave him a chance and Ifrit emerged from the cave as the first of the dragons. Ifrit used his new found wings to travel the world to bring peace to those still alive from the Endless Rain. But every where he went only showed the damage of his former kind. The world was scared, the Gargoyles were in a eternal war with the Magmins, and the Timber Wolves trusted none but those that spawned from them, their family's, their packs. And so Ifrit returned to his cave to pray and apologize for his failure. For years he prayed to the point that he out grew his cave and was forced to go to the mane land, only to find that Faust had used the Gargoyles, the Magmin, and the Timber Wolves in order to make new beings, and now the world sprawled with new life. In the sky flew birds and in the waters swam fish. And sitting before Ifrit was another dragon, one with a message from Faust that stated that he had been forgiven. Faust had yet to create many of the critters we know today. But she had learned from the past, though peace is desired, conflict is not unavoidable. And thus she took a step back from creation to watch, only stepping in when needed. But as time went on Faust grew lonely once more, her creations were mortal and would live and die as such. And so she created once more this being was borne from her loneliness and became her equal... and her opposite. Where she desired peace, he desired war. Where she brought creation, he brought destruction. And yet for reasons unbeknownst to all, including them, they loved each other. And from the union of Faust and Daemon Tartarus came the first of the Nephilim, the twins Sunset and Twilight. Like their parents they were always at odds, but unlike them, they would often attempt to fight to the death, and from there silver blood spawned beings that held the same values as them and would differ depending on what the blood landed on. From the Timber Wolves came Dryads and Treants. From Magmin came even more twisted and corrupt demons as well as twisted forms of those who seek justice, the fallen. From Gargoyles came the Angels and the first magic users, the Will-o-wisp. Eventually the lighter more just of the two made a choice to remove all evil from herself and become the first Archangel, Uriel. But her choice had an unexpected side affect, it removed all of her innate evil and pushed it into her twin. While at the same time removing all of her twins innate good and forcing it into Uriel, making her sister the first Archdemon, Asmodeus. This broke a bond that none knew they had with each other and now a fight between siblings had become a war between races. The mortals were forced to choose a side and many did. However a majority of them did not and chose there own side, the side of the mortals. This resulted in a near slaughter and so both Faust and Daemon stepped in to save the mortals, though Daemon wants not but destruction, he knows that balance must be kept. And so they gave a select few mortals powers over there domains and created the realms of Eidolon and Tartarus for the Angels and Demons respectively, forcing them to those realms along with themselves. And thus was created the Gods who fought for the mortals and there own people, how ever there power was made to be passed on so one could not hold it forever. What Faust and Daemon did not expect was the rise of gods from the mortals under domains that were not given to them. The war between demon and angel continued both directly and by proxy of the mortals and gods. That is until peace spread among the mortals with only the occasional conflict. And life continued, mortals becoming more and more divers and the angels and demons taking on mortal lovers so as to diversify themselves and creating even more races of mortals along with the Gods doing the same... ......... ...Thus the world went on, until five-hundred years ago when a new Nephilim fell from the skys and war sprung anew. The angels and demons attempting to turn it to their side, and us, the mortals, all wishing it for our own reasons." Glorious Praise closed the book, finished with the nursery school lesson. "Are there any questions?" She asked, an Assyrian child at the back raising his hand almost instantly. "Yes Capper?" "What do you whant cho do wit teh Nofilim?" The young Demigod asked. "Well Capper I just want to protect and teach her, let her make her own choice. If she wants to pick a side I will make sure it is hers and not anyone else's choice." Glorious said as the children's parents came to get them. After the last one to left she made her way to the Temples guest and medicinal ward to check on the Nephilim. "I really hope that the choice will be yours and yours alone." She said with a sigh resting one of her fore hooves on the nameless Nephilim and pushing healing magic into her. //-------------------------------------------------------// Waking Up Part Two //-------------------------------------------------------// Waking Up Part Two "Gaahhhg" Based on the sound that I just made to wake myself up I know without a doubt that the whatever dimensional beings watching me know that I feel horrid... Or maybe they don't... I don't really care. That said I rolled over in my bed to try and get comfy and maybe a few more hours of sleep, only to discover that I was on the very edge as I fell onto my back. Annoyingly the floor was hard stone, but it was a thankfully short fall. Wait... Stone floor and short bed don't add up to MY bed but someone else bed, floor, and house. Those thoughts in my head I stared up at the ceiling trying to remember what happened the day before only for a migraine to tell me I got hit in the side of the head with a goddamn Smash-ball and the rest of what happened coalesced to make in my gray matter to make the migraine even worse. The hell did my brain just say? I don't know how long I just laid there on the floor but I am quite confident that I fell asleep for at least an hour because my migraine was now just a headache. I rolled over onto my fe-hooves, hooves. Gotta make sure I remember that. Just like before standing and walking was shaky but easier than I thought it should be. Now, with hooves under me instead of above me I looked around the room I was in and... It has an awkward look that just doesn't blend. The room looked like someone tried to mix grandiose and gaudy with minimalist and spartan. In the room were precisely three objects, the bed I fell off of, a Vanity, and a Wardrobe. The room itself was a large rectangular cube with a rather plain wooden door, the walls were blank gray brick until about three-fourths of the way up where they had paintings from the ceiling down and seemed to try and tell some kind of story. Said story had an obvious start at the top left corner of the wall opposite of the door and wrapped around the room slowly moving downwards. A large indecipherable being was the start of the painting and preceded to make its way to a depiction of the sun and moon, plants, plant animals, animals, conflicts, and mythical creatures. Or from what I saw before I got smashed upside the head they where just creatures here, not mythical. The painting currently ended with a falling star and a city built around the crater where it fell. The painting confirms only one thing for me though, and that is the fact that the bed, vanity, and wardrobe definitely don't belong in this room and were probably added either before I was moved here or while I was being moved here. Wait a moment, taking a closer look to the paintings current end it looks like someone was adding to it not to long ago. 'Doesn't matter now, I can ask about the painting latter' I thought to myself as I made my way to the vanity to use the mirror and get a proper look at what is now me. In the mirror I saw the expected snowy-blue fur and only reveled to me what my face looked like as the I knew what the rest of me looked like already. My face was with only a little doubt that of a horse. Why a little doubt? Well my eyes were like a cats or snakes, only bright pink. Now having eyes of unusual colors was something I had imagined before just not pink, cause, well... pink and eye used together usually refer to something... gross. Aside from my eyes and face I could now see my horns as well, they were a stark white and had a constant stream of something (magic maybe?) coming off the tips of them flowing straight up or following the movements of my head. I don't know why but my eyes where drawn to my mane, something seemed off. Was... Wasn't my mane larger the first time I looked at it? Or is it just the angle I was looking at it from? I turned to look at my tail only to stop as the muffled clip-cloping of hooves on stone brought my attention to the door, and thirty-two seconds latter, (yes I counted) the door opened to show a cyan horse with a rainbow mane and tail that was around half my size and wearing what I would call cleric robes, another horse that was also around half my size with a chestnut brown coat and a light gray mane and tail in unmistakable adventuring gear you would see in any fantasy setting, and behind them was a Minotaur that was taller than me and he (based on the lack of breast) was wearing a blue and yellow kilt and nothing else from what I could see "-ot insulting you Glorious, you are one of the best healers there are among mortals. But the Neph-" The brown stallion, unless his voice is deceiving, was saying only to be cut off as the Minotaur put his hand over his mouth and pointed at me "Ah yer awake. Me name's Hardiar Steadyeye." The Minotaur introduced himself while walking up to me and holding out his hand. With him now right in front of me I could clearly see that he was at least a full foot, maybe two foot taller than me. Not wanting to be rude I reached out with a hoof to shake his hand and immediately regretted it, not because of the usual reason of almost getting an arm, or leg in this case, ripped off or crushed but because I felt an unfamiliar energy run through me that felt similar to an electrical shock. "Tay were bringin' me in to take a look at cha. 'ake sure yer all healin' good and proper. Now stay still in'less I move ya." Hardiar added once that hand/hoof shake was done. He then grabbed my head to turn it with the practiced ease of an experienced doctor to look at the spot where I got clobbered. The giant then moved to my back leg reminding me that I shouldn't have been walking on it with the break it had, only for me to find it seemed to be fully healed. The only thing I would complain about was the fact that every where he touched that electric shock feeling would spread from the same spot. He stood and gave me a slap on the back, causing that electric feeling again. "Far as I c'n tell yer all fine. Now if'n you'll es'cuse me, the God o' wind 'n I got a storm to brew up." The Minotaur said and with a flash of light and the sound of thunder he was gone, the only evidence that he was here being the ringing in my ears and the quickly fading burn on the floor. I brought a hoof up to rub at my ears in the hopes of getting the ringing to go a way faster. The only thing that kept me from being pissed at the guy being that he can apparently travel by lightning and the other two in the room where rubbing at their ears as well. The stallion recovered the same time I did. At least to the point that we could hear, the ringing was still there. The stallion walked up to me and with a slight bow he introduced himself. "My name is Scout, The God of Travelers." My first thought is to sarcastically introduce myself as the god of assholes, the only reason I didn't was because that Minotaur, Hardiar disappeared in a flash of lighting and said something about brewing a storm with another god. 'Not to mention his touch was literally electric.' So instead of questioning him I returned his bow and introduced myself. "Greetings, my name is... Olin?" 'Shit, terrible time to remember that I've forgotten my name. Lets hope he buys it, and did I seriously say Greetings? Who the hell says greetings?' "You don't sound to confident about that." A decidedly female voice said bringing my attention to the other occupant of the room as she walked up to us. 'If I recall correctly her name was said when they entered, uhh Glory? Or something like that.' "My name's Glorious Praise,(Close enough) it is good to properly meet you." "Would you like a tour of the temple? Maybe the city after?" Scout asked "Oh.. uh, sure." And with that we made to leave the room. I took a brief look at the room over my shoulder and nearly jumped out of my skin as the being that was shown in the painting seemed to be mere millimeters from my face and disappeared after I blinked. I looked up to the painting again feeling far less safe than I did before. 'Heh heh, it... uh, it was just a trick of the light. Yeah, definitely.' I unconvincingly lied to myself.
