Author's Note
Hello everyone, this was a story idea I had been thinkin of for awhile since I first read that story 'your human and you', if you have never read it I highly suggest you go check it out, tis a great story, abut be warned it gets dark at some points, and this was also inspired by a story about tiny ponies, hope ya'll enjoy it
and as a last side note, I was going to write for this while I waited for my co author to let me know when they can write, and was only going to post it after my story 'a displaced lich' was completed, cause by the time it was this would have most likely been completed, but I decided to say 'fuck it' and post it, hope ya like it, updates may be slow, or they may be fast, we shall see
Chapter 1
I sighed looking at a picture of my grandfather, the guy who raised me, my real father had been a piece of shit who tried to abandon me in a zoo and had been sent to jail for doing so, along with having illegal drugs on him, the fucker had killed my mother with his drugs in her sleep, so my grandpa Willy was the one to raise me. I loved that guy, he had a 1966 bronco roadster that I loved, the car just looked so cool to me as a kid, he also had been a weapon collector, he had guns from the wild west, world war one, and world war two, all of em he had checked to make sure they still worked as well as they did the day they had come off the factory line.
I set the photo back down onto the shelf I had picked it up from, and looked around the house. I had won the lotto a year back, about 5 million dollars, and unlike most I did not go on a crazy spending spree, I bought the house, a car, and payed some people to move the items from my grandfathers home to mine since he had past two years prior, it was a nice three story house. If you counted the attic where I kept Willy's weapon collection, and not counting the basement, where a safe stored my money, cause I simply did not trust a bank to hold this money, plus it was fingerprint unlocked and three passwords needed to unlock the damned thing, I am sure no thief can get in unless they blow the safe up.
The house itself was a grayish blue color, with white trim and a blue roof, and a large garage, I had looked specifically for a garage that could hold two cars, cause I was leaving nothing behind that belong to my grandpa, his entire weapon collection, his car, anything that belonged to him I took with me to the new house, and used it to decorate it, hanging an old brown bess musket over a large flat screen TV as a decorative piece, however I knew that musket could fire.
I walked to the fridge and grabbed a can of cherry coke, and cracked it open with a satisfying hiss as I got ready for my shift tonight, I worked as a night guard for a hospital nearby, to make sure no one just broke into rooms with medical equipment, or to just keep local troublemakers out of the building unless they needed medical aid, grabbing two cans of monster blue and a lunch pale I walked out and got into my 1990 bronco, it was painted black, and opening the garage I drove out as the doors automatically closed behind me, and drove off to work, at 10 pm.
It was about 5 am by the time I was let off my shift, on my way back home I stopped for an egg mcmuffin Once I got back to my house I parked my car inside the garage and ate my sandwich, before taking a quick shower and turning on the TV, since tomorrow was my day off and I was still plenty awake due to the monster I had taken with me to work, I decided I was going to watch some TV, so I turned the news channel to see what the weather would be like, since it was the 10th of March the snow had begun to melt at last, for that I was happy cause I fuckin hated snow.
"In other news today there has been strange electromagnetic activity around the Michigan Great Lakes, people are advised to avoid taking electronics near the Great Lakes until further notice, as the electromagnetic activity have caused small electronics such as cellphones to fry and no longer wor-" I changed the channel, not interested in the news any longer, I watched TV for another two hours, before I went to sleep, the energy drinks I had taken finally wearing off.
About three hours later I woke up, if my clock was anything to go by so it was around 10 A., I got up and decided to get up and make myself some food, heading to the kitchen and grabbing a can of spam from the cabinet I sliced it into 5 slices and tossed it into a pan on the stove, letting the slices get nice and crispy, about 5 minutes per side, I set em onto a plate and fried up two eggs in the fat that was left in the pan, once those were done I enjoyed my meal with a can of coke.
15 minutes later I had finished my food, and stepped outside to grab the paper like I did every morning, only to see my street was gone, the road, everything, my driveway cut off perfectly into dirt, when just a few hours ago it connected to a fucking road, looking around I also noticed trees where really small.....to small, unless they where saplings, I took a look at the apple tree I had in my yard, it seemed to be unaffected and just as healthy as the day I had it planted in my yard, it was a pink lady apple tree, the best kind, to me at least.
I looked around for a little while longer, not daring to leave my door, and I saw a small town, I shit you not like somethin you'd see in medieval times, cottages and even a somewhat modern looking town hall....and tiny....horses? walking and flying around, yes you heard me right FLYING, fucking pegasi, small unicorns, and normal ones....I am not drunk enough for this, walking back inside my home I locked the door and went to the attic, and pulled out a Luger from a glass case, and loaded it, this thing still worked, as did all the weapons my grandfather had collected, and he always kept ammo for em all, except for the musket.
Walking back downstairs I sat on my couch, luger in my hand...why did I grab it you may ask? hell if I know, I don't want something hostile coming up to me and have nothing to defend myself with, seems this day was gonna get pretty damned weird

I was sitting on my couch again, the ponies sitting across from me on the other side of the couch while I held up the rifle as I spoke. "This is a M1 Garand rifle, its a semi automatic 30 caliber rifle, it was created during the second world war and has stayed very popular with hunters and for shooting contests."
Celestia, whom had finally finished that cake slice on her own, despite it being bigger than herself, and had cleaned the cake off with magic, went wide eyed, at the words 'world war two', she spoke up. "World War Two? Your planet has had two WORLD wars?"
I nodded. "Yes, the first world war started on July 28, 1914 and ended on November 11, 1918. the second world war started on September 1, 1939 and ended on September 2, 1945, in that time many advancements in weapons where made, this M1 Garand being a product of the second world war."
The ponies where shocked into silence, war had only really happened during the beginning when Equestria was founded, and when Nightmare Moon had tried to take over the world, even then Nightmare never killed anypony, rather she'd brainwash them to worship her.
Celestia spoke up. "The second 'world war' ended in 1945? What year is it for you now?"
I chuckled. "The year is 2019, more than seventy years after the second world war, just cause its been so long don't mean other wars haven't happened however, like the war on terror, and things like that, this rifle is old but it has stayed popular due to how powerful and accurate it is."
Twilight, along with the rest of her friends just looked mortified, the only one who didn't was Celestia, who spoke up again. "So wars are common enough where you are from that weapons technology advances at a fast rate?"
I nodded. "Yeah, this rifle is very old compared to most modern rifles, and nowadays the military uses machine guns, such as the M16, which is slowly being replaced, but how come your so interested in that?"
Celestia sat down. "Because griffins are becoming more and more hostile due to us not wanting to ship humans to them so they can just eat the poor things, humans here are pretty much animals compared to you, like a cat is to a pony."
I paused for a minute, taking that in, before I shrugged. "Not the first time I've heard something weird, however this IS by far the weirdest thing I have ever had happen to me, or seen before...wonder why I ain't flippin the fuck out...eh, problems for later perhaps, but anyway my point is, I assume your goin to ask me for this rifle to make smaller copies for your ponies against the griffins then?"
Celestia chuckled. "No need, I scanned it when we came back inside, all I have to do is copy the plans for it onto a piece of parchment and then it is as easy as making the parts and building the weapon, however I plan to place this kind of weapon on airships, not for ponies to just carry around for battle, swords shields and magic will be much better, and less violent."
I shrugged, not giving two fucks why they wanted the design for the weapon, as its almost a century out of date compared to modern weapons. "Sure, I guess, that little airship you had reminded me of zeppelins of world war one, but I wanted to know if I would be able to explore? and possibly not have your little town go into a panic at seeing me?"
Celestia nodded, before writing a letter, seemingly about me, and teleported it off to who knows where. "Mayor Mare will notify Ponyville within an hour as I have instructed her, however I'd stay here for today and just explore tomorrow, so to not cause panic and so everypony has time to accept their new neighbor. Just have Twilight notify me if you require anything." Celestia teleported back with everypony to her airship, leaving only Twilight there.
Twilight payed me no mind, instantly going to a bookshelf I had filled to the brim with books, looking like she had died and went to her own personal heaven, I laughed at the idea of her prancing in a field of books and just sat down to watch her, she tried to read one of the books I had about rockets but was having a hard time turning the pages, so she, I shit you not, shrunk the book down to her size and CHIRPED happily while she read on.
I shrugged after watching her for about two hours, and went into the kitchen to cook myself up somethin to eat, some hash browns on bread with a slice of spam and some ketchup, if you don't know by this point, I love that canned meat, best food in the world. After making my sandwich I headed back to the living room and just continued to watch Twilight read, shrink, and resize my books once she was done, she went through about half of the damned shelf, about 50 books, before she fell asleep mid page on a book about the history of the USA.
I chuckled at that and set her onto a napkin, along with the book, before deciding to read myself, from the 'On The Run' series, loved those books, and other books like 'Hatchet', abit I didn't like the sequels to that one as the first story had ended perfectly, I read for a few more hours before realizing the sun was setting, and decided to grab a coke, and I continued till I was finished with the book, as I had been more than half way through the book when I started to read it again to pass the time, after headed into the kitchen yet again, I sat down with another sandwich, thinking of what I could do, as I was used to staying up late at night, and sleeping all day, or going on only 3 hours of sleep, I had nothing to do and it was maddening! least I thought it would be till my face decided to meet the table in a loving embrace.

Hiya all! sorry this took so long, but the 27th was my birthday, and I was busy with that this past month, getting things ready for it, if you liked the story lemme know! and also wow! 91 followers! never thought I'd get past two lol XD if we reach a hundred I might do a chapter where fans can ask questions, however if I do you actually need to ask questions, unlike the last time I tried to do that, and only got two replies!
