Twilight was at a charity event in Canterlot as she was sitting in for Celestia since Celestia had a nervous breakdown a couple of days ago.
Once it was done Twilight left to go back home to see her friends and see Spike.
Once she got back to her castle she flopped down on her bed and relaxed after the day.
As she tried to relax however she smelled herself and decided to go take a bath as she needed one. She hoped that nobody was outside.
Twilight got undressed and bathed herself outside at one if the secluded lakes since she didnt have a bath of her own.
As she washed herself she watched her surrounding that were around the body if water. The nature was beautiful.
After a bit more washing Twilight finished and when she did she heard a rustling in some bushes. She hoped it wasnt a person.
Twilight began to panic as she didnt like the possibility that she was being watched. She wanted to call them out on it but was afraid to see who it was.
Twilight looked around the area and saw something hiding behind the bushes in the grass.
Twilight finished cleaning herself and exited the water and walked right by the Bush.
Suddenly Twilight was bit in the leg by a snake. Twilight cried out in pain and staggered. She fell down an backed away from the creature as she couldnt identify if it was poisonous or not.
As the snake slithered torwards her she got up and began to limp to the castle as fast as she could so she could get dressed.
As she limped she fell down and groaned in pain. She was not having a good day. She cried as she looked af her wound and then got the willpower to get up.
When Twilight stood up on the leg that was bitten a sharp pain spread throughout it. It was more extreme than before. She didnt want anything else bad to happen to herself so she began to limp to her castle.
As Twilight limped she began to stagger as the pain was slowing her down, she knew she might have to get help.
Twilight staggered home and dried herself off. She had to make sure to dry the bite carefully because if she went to fast or dried to hard she might make it worse. She put on regular clothes and went to Nurse Redheart's office in Ponyville
Twilight checked in so she could get her injury checked. She was lucky the doctor's was open.
Twilight waited for the Nurse to see her as she gripped her leg in pain as other people who were waiting watched her with concern.
Twilight began to get anxious in the waiting room as she didnt want to die. Images of her possible death floated around in her brain tormenting her. She did not want to die due to a snake bite. It would be messed up if that happened. She wanted to live a long life and die of old age. She didnt want to die due to a stupid snake.
Soon Nurse Redheart walked into the room and before her could see her next patient she saw Twilight's facial expression and took her before the others. She brought her to a examination room.
"Oh thank you so much Nurse I appreciate it." Twilight said.
"Your welcome, I saw the way you were acting in there and knew you were in trouble. Can you please tell me what happened?" Nurse Redheart asked.
Twilight grit her teeth as the pain was unbearable, she squeezed her eyes closed as the venom in the bite stung. She pushed herself to speak.
"I was...bathing...and-I got bite by a snake! Its excrusiating!" Twilight said while she breathed heavily.
Nurse Redheart asked no more questions as she immediatly started to drain the poison, wasting no time and getting straight to work. After that she put medicine on it.
Twilight thanked Nurse Redheart repeatedly as she showed her gratitude. Nurse Redheart asked her a question.
"Where were you bathing exactly?" Nurse Redheart asked. Twilight became shy as she didnt want to sound dumb in front of the nurse. She was going to have get through this.
Twilight bit her lip as she looked away from Nurse Redheart as she thought about what happened. Finally she got the courage to speak.
"At that lake in Ponyville..." Twilight hesitated, Nurse Redheart shook her head.
"Dont go in that water anymore. You were lucky to have gotten it treated immediatly." Nurse redheart said.
"Tell me about it." Twilight said with a sigh.
"Where else did you go anyway? Do anything interesting?" Nurse Redheart asked.
"I went to a charity event because Celestia couldnt." Twilight explained. Nurse Redheart simply nodded as she put the medicine away.
Twilight left and went back to her castle since she didnt want to go to the water anymore that day.
When Twilight got to her castle she saw that Rainbow Dash was was watching her from the stairs.
"Hey egghead how was your day?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight sighed and spoke.
"Not good. I wont bore you with the details." she said walked passed Rainbow Dash who watched her with.
"Oh come on it cant be worse than hearing about books from you." Rainbow Dash teased. Twilight stopped and turned around to look at Rainbow Dash.
"I was bitten by a venomous snake." Twilight answered straightforawardly. Rainbow Dash's eyes went wide.
"Oh no! You should go to the doctors Twilight!" Rainbow Dash said but Twilight shook her head.
"I was already there so dont worry about it." Twilight said. Rainbow Dash hugged Twilight and then she let her go.
"I hope the bite goes away then. If you need me to feel cooler than you are now you can contact me." Rainbow Dash said. Twilight nodded and then Rainbow Dash left the castle.
Twilight rested in the castle for the rest of the day. Her wound was treated several more times and soon it finally got better. She never went swimming in that lake ever again.
