The latter of whom had awoken like clockwork. She brushed her multicoloured hair out of her eyes, then stretched her arms and legs before realising it was the first of two big days where she and the rest of her friends would be hanging out for the majority of the day having fun and relaxing. Scrambling out of bed to put her pyjamas on, she opened the door to her bedroom and tiptoed onto the landing. At the other end was two doors' side by side. It was the closest one she had her eyes on. Getting on her hands and knees and padding across the soft carpet, she pawed at the door. After ten seconds of no reply, she used both her hands and added in some whining and just as she had expected, she heard a mumbled invite. The door clicked open, and she entered the bedroom, the walls lined with books of varying genres and violet wallpaper. She saw some messy purple hair and, with a foot, pushed the door closed. Moving up to the bed and opposite the other girl's head, she sat on her knees and began softly panting. At first, she wasn't sure the other girl could hear her, which was until she noticed the ghost of a smile playing on her lips. The panting girl took this as a challenge and leaned forward until their faces were inches apart. When there was still no movement, she licked the tip of the 'sleeping' girl's nose and was awarded a little giggle that ended in a snort and then rolled over so that she was lying on her back. The now smirking intruder raised an eyebrow and clambered on top of the more giant bed, completely disregarding any stealth and noticed her target was trying very hard to keep a straight face but failing horribly. She stalked up to her sleeping form and noticed her resolve was starting to finally break and leaned her face down while panting more profoundly. She laid a single gentle kiss on to the purple-haired girl's lips, and this was reciprocated in kind. They remained kissing for roughly a minute before breaking apart. The girl beneath the covers opened her eyes and noticed the girl above her in the blue PJ's and smiled softly before lifting her arm, allowing the girl to get under the covers and snuggled up next to her. The new bed occupant was panting much softer as fingers scratched and massaged her scalp. "Good morning, Rainbow." The girl in question murmured something intelligible and cuddled in closer, laying her head on the girl's shoulder, breathing gently. Twilight whispered in response to her pet's mumble. "I'm sorry, Rainbow, I didn't quite get that?." Rainbow lifted her head ever so slightly, eyes half-lidded and gave a small smile, after which she placed a tender kiss on Twilights neck and collar bone. "Good morning Twi, did you have a nice sleep?." Twilight moved her hand down to Rainbow's ear and began a mixture of scratching and massaging that Rainbow responded to more positively. "Yes, I did...how about you, did you sleep well, Dashie." Rainbow didn't give a verbal reply but nodded her head in acknowledgement. They lay there enjoying one another's warmth. The snuggling lasted for half an hour or so. Neither of them wanted the other to move. Twilight enjoyed it when Rainbow let down her defences. Twilight always knew that Rainbow's tough exterior and bravado was just an act even when they were younger, having built up an image of herself that she felt she needed to maintain even around her friends. Twilight was one of two friends with who she would become less guarded. This mock-up suit of armour that she wore on a near-daily basis had crumbled and disappeared altogether when Twilight and Rainbow started dating, even allowing her other friends to see herself in such a vulnerable state more often. Rainbow was nervous that if she acted the same way around Twilight, but around her other friends, she would get teased until the new dawn. After much charging from her girlfriend of two years, Rainbow was happy to see that she had gained nothing short of respect and support, which gave her the courage to be her true self every day, even around strangers. One aspect of Rainbow's true personality that shone through significantly was her timid nature. Rainbow acted brave and stubborn when her oldest friend was being bullied, but she never wanted to act like that, but it carried on for a few years, and it wasn't until; she met Twilight that she could be herself again. "Hey Rainbow, why don't you go and wake up Spike." She looked up with puppy dog eyes and shook her head, moving one socked foot so that it was resting against Twilight's feet. Twilight rolled her eyes with a smile. "If you go and get Spike up, I'll make you the 'Twilight Special' for breakfast." Rainbow's eyes shot open, and the heavy breathing came back full force. She immediately assaulted Twilight's face with a smattering of light kisses. Twilight burst out laughing and gently smacked Rainbow on the head in a mock attempt at self-defence. After the kiss attack, Rainbow got off the bed and left Twilight so she could get dressed. Rainbow sat outside the door that said ‘NO GIRLS ALLOWED’ (Unless your Twilight or Rainbow) and began scratching at the door. “Spike...spike...spike...spike...spike...spike...spike...spike...spike...spike.” A tired reply came from inside. "Oh god, Rain, stop. It's seven in the morning." Rainbow opened the door and crawled into the semi-messy room, and saw the spiky green hair. She noticed one of Spike's hand's draped down the side of the bed and began to lick each finger. The hand twitched, and then she began to nudge his hand with her nose. Spike yawned, then wiped at his eyes with one hand and stroked Rainbow's head with the other. "Okay, Rain, I'm up, I'm up...good girl." "Come on, Spike, your sisters doing the 'Twilight Special." Spike shot up out of bed, and both he and Rainbow ran downstairs at a blistering pace. They both seated themselves at the table, eagerly awaiting their promised food. They did not have to wait long for Twilight, now fully dressed, to turn the corner balancing three plates of pancakes topped with cream and a mixture of fruit sandwiched in-between each one. Spike and Rainbow looked on in awe, both of them dribbling with their mouths hanging open. Twilight set each plate down on the table. "Thanks, Twi, you're the best." "Yeah, cheers, Sis, you do the best breakfast." Twilight grabbed a green, blue and purple collar and a hairband and walked behind Rainbow, distracted with eating. Twighlight gathered up her pet's hair and, using the band, gave Rainbow a ponytail, then secured the collar to her neck and adjusted its size, so it wasn't too tight. The metal nameplate dangled down with an engraving of a lightning bolt on one side, and on the other, a telephone number to call in case Rainbow went missing...again. After everyone had finished their pancakes, a sudden barrage of knocking coming from the door to their above library apartment and had alerted Rainbow. "Twilight, who do you think that is?." Twilight crossed her arms and looked at Rainbow with a knowing smile. "Honestly, Rainbow, who else other than you, Spike and I have keys to this apartment." Rainbow scrunched her eyes in thought, and then the light bulb in her head shone to life, and she gasped. "SCOOTALOO!" She shouted, running to the door, fiddling with all the locks, and when she was able to open the door finally, she was suddenly glomped to the floor with a sneak attack hug from the younger girl dressed in an orange hoodie and shorts. Rainbow ruffled her dark pink hair. "You okay squirt, how's mum and dad." Scootaloo helped Rainbow up off the floor. "They're doing great, but look at this." Rainbow looked where Scoots was pointing and noticed the orange and pink checkerboard pattern collar around the younger girl's neck. "You got one too, Scoots, that's awesome." Rainbow pointed to Scoot's collar and then pointed to Twilight. Scootaloo understanding the mime, jogged over to Twilight, high-fiving Spike as she passed him at the table. Scootaloo gave another but this time gentler hug to Twilight and showed her the collar. "It suits you. Scooty did Windy and Bo give you that." "Yeah, it's so cool..." Scootaloo started to fidget, remembering the reason for this visit in the first place. "Is something wrong, Scooty?." Twilight asked in a curious tone. "Well...Bloom and Sweetie got their collars already cuz there a couple of months older than me, and well, I was just wondering...if I could join you and the others on your biweekly outings." Twilight put a finger to her chin and thought with a hum. "Only if Windy and Bo are okay with it." She started jumping up down in feverish joy. "They already said yes. I asked before I left." The jumping soon stopped, and Scootaloo looked like she had another question to ask. "Hey uh, Twilight, I was just wondering if you...well um...that is... to say." "You don't need to be embarrassed, Scooty. Just ask away." Scootaloo took a few deep breaths and asked the question that had been weighing on her mind since yesterday. "Windy and Bo already gave me their blessing, but I need to ask you too, I know there's a spare bed in Rainbow's room, and I didn't want to force myself into your lives but...would you be willing to take me in as a new pet...please?". Having heard the question wordlessly, Twilight reached a jar, removed one sweet, held it aloft, and Scootaloo instinctively adopted a begging stance. "Speak." She did as Twilight said and gave her best dog impression. "Arf." A grinning Twilight twirled the treat-filled hand, and the other ran in a small circle. In a sharp motion, she then lifted her hand higher into the air, and Scootaloo jumped as high as she could, then Twilight presented her with an upturned palm. "Paw." Scootaloo quickly plopped her hand on top of Twi's and, as a reward, was given the sweet. "I think I can look after one more...what do you think, Spike?." The other half of Rainbow's 'owners' gave a thumbs up. "Rain is always well behaved, and I know how much you like to take after her, so yeah, I have no problem with it. The more, the merrier, as they say." Scootaloo ran to Rainbow, who was still in the living room performing her after breakfast stretches, and told her the news; the sound of cheering emanated from the living room. Scootaloo left to go home and tell her adoptive parents that she would be able to stay at Twilights and, by extension, attend the pet playdate with her friends and 'big sister'. Twilight ushered everyone upstairs to shower and get dressed. Spike called up after Rainbow, who had gotten a sneaky headstart. "Rain, you better not use all the hot water like you did last night! I swear we need to get a new boiler." Chapter 2Inside a quaint cottage not far from the centre of town and only a walk from the town's isolated farm, a lady was standing in her kitchen, whistling in tune to the wild but ever-present birds on her windowsill. Her butter-yellow dressing gown kept the morning chill at bay, and her long pink hair helping to block the harsh rays of sun leaking in through the clouds illuminating her kitchen in a honey glow. The chickens in the coup clucked merrily, and deer sprang past the garden fence with not a care in the world. She had always gotten up early to feed her animals and prepare a hearty meal for her hardworking pet's, which happened to be one plate of bacon, eggs, tomato and hash browns. The second plate with everything minus the bacon, some tofu in its place with a glass of freshly made orange juice with added pulp just the way they liked it. All that was left now was her favourite part of the morning, the 'wake up ritual'. The gown-clad woman quietly walked up to the stairs. She shortly stepped onto the landing and b-lined to the farthest door opening it with a slight squeak. There were two beds adjacent to one another. The room split into two distinct sections, one with a more childish aesthetic and a more grown-up feel. Going to the left side of the room, she sat on the side of the bed. She carefully rubbed the head of the sleeping teen moving her hair out the way and planting a single kiss on her forehead. A faint purring sound came as a reaction to the affection, and soon after, her eyes fluttered open, and a calm smile graced her lips. "Good mornin Fluttershy." "Did you have a good sleep, Apple Bloom?." "Sure did. I were really cosy...you?." "Oh, my sleep was excellent, thank you; your breakfast is on the table, and I made sure to add the extra pulp." Apple Bloom sat up and embraced Fluttershy in a firm hug and started to purr again when she felt her owners hand rub her back up and down, and then in circular motions, Apple Bloom let out a few mews, but her hunger got the better of her. Hence, she gave Fluttershy another hug and ran downstairs to gorge herself on her owners cooking. Light snoring caught her attention, Smiling she made her way over to the bed on the right side and lay down on the empty side of the bed where her fiancé was napping. Fluttershy snaked her hand under the blankets and started to rub her toned stomach with purpose and care. After about five seconds, Fluttershy had utterly lost herself in action and did not notice her future wife's leg twitching under the covers or the growling not until she was pulled towards the formerly sleeping girl, instantly capturing her lips in a heated kiss that was fast and heavy and ended off with a lick to the cheek. Fluttershy blushed a fierce crimson and leaned down for a second kiss that was just as if not more heated than the first. Their foreheads rested against each other's and with shaky breaths that ghosted over the more muscular girl's lips. "Breakfast is uh...ready, Applejack all the trimmings and the pulp." "What did I do to deserve an angel like you, Shy?... I right proper, don't know." Apple Bloom could hear some giggling from upstairs and was not surprised to see her older sister carrying Fluttershy down the stairs bridal style with a few spins and a kiss. Applejack let Flutters get to her feet. "Oh, Applejack, you're always so enthusiastic in the mornings." Applejack hooked Fluttershy by the waist with an arm and brought her close. "A course I am. Did you forget what day it is today, Shy?." Apple Bloom went to answer, but her words could not bypass the bacon and tomato that she was chewing, so instead, she had a small coughing fit and then restarted her eating with gusto. "I haven't forgotten, um...Jacky, do you think Rainbow will be pleased when we ask her to be the Maid of Honour for our wedding." "I'm sure as sugar. She will be downright giddy. Out of all of us, you two have basically grown up with each other, attended the same school, had sleepovers, you even know each other's deepest, guarded secrets. Apart from Twilight and Spike, you two are as thick as thieves could be. I would know one thing for sure, butternut if you didn't offer Dash the Maid of Honour, she would be mighty heartbroken. I can tell you that for all the bits in the world." Fluttershy listened to every word coming out of the farm girl's mouth and, by the end, caught her in the most forceful hug she could manage. "Thanks for reassuring me, Applejack...now go and eat your food before it gets cold." Applejack unlatched herself from Fluttershy and sat down in her regular spot. Time flew by, and before Fluttershy knew it, she saw Applejack and Apple Bloom off as they took the short walk to their family farm to help their elder brother Big Macintosh and visit Granny Smith. The work they performed was collecting apples for their own brand -Sweet Acres Apple Cider- it was too local to be the talk of the surrounding area. Still, nearly enough, every citizen who lived in Pearl Valley loved the stuff, so much so that it had breezed through all the red tape and became the location's national drink. Publicity like that is suitable for the soul and the coffers. Fluttershy went upstairs to shower and get dressed for the day ahead; she would be lying if she said she wasn't excited to see her dearest friends. Chapter 3The sweet smell of icing sugar filled the busy kitchen as a tall girl with bushy pink hair skipped around, almost dancing as she mixed chopped and added ingredients to bowls of cake mix and batter. Baking trays with cupcake holders overflowed with the yummy gooeyness. The baker inserted the trays one by one as the many ovens clicked on and began humming with heat. Gathering all the utensils and bowls, dumped them into the sink. The large faucet spurred to life has the hot tap handle turned, filling the sink with near-boiling water and steam flooded over the edge as the water neared the brim. The tap turned off to avoid any accidents. She hung up her apron on the door, exited the kitchen, and skipped to her next destination. "Time to the wake the kittens up, such sleepy heads." Stopping at a rather splendidly decorated door that had the words, -Home to Rarity and Sweetie Belle- The door had paw prints and mice painted on its front as well as a bunch of other cat-related paraphernalia. The door opened, which caused a little bell to ring all though it did nothing to disturb the sleep of its two occupants, one of which was sleeping on a large cat tree that the Apple family had helped her build, the girl's hand was dangling off the side some hair draped over the edge. She snored quietly, poking the girl's hand elicited a twitch that made the smiling girl giggle. She walked over to the sofa where the bigger of the two was stretched out and looked to be in bliss. A hand scratched under her chin, causing a prominent purr to surface as she giggled more, trying her best to keep it as quiet as she could. Placing a hand on her shoulder, she shook gently. "Pinkie, is that you darling?." The now awake girl managed to stifle a yawn. "Of course, it is Rarity who were you expecting the queen of England." Rarity adopted a confused look. "What's an England?." Pinkie placed a hand over her mouth with wide eyes then started to laugh. "Oh, that doesn't matter; just being silly." Rarity shrugged then sat up, holding out her arms. "Well, Pinkie, are you going to embrace your girlfriend or do I have to do all the work." Pinkie wasted no time and practically fell on top of Rarity and planted a full and enthusiastic kiss on her lips after they got the morning hug out of the way. Pinkie stood up, dragging Rarity with her. "Pinkie, you could have helped me up like a gentle lady." "True, I could have, but I helped you up like a Pinkie Pie." Rarity smiled at that and gave Pinkie another hug Rarity's head just barely reached Pinkies shoulder. "Yes, you did...now I think it's time to wake someone else up." "Rarity, I still find it hard to believe that Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo are nineteen years old." "I know, they grew up so fast it is hard to believe, isn't it." Rarity left the bedroom and walked to the kitchen to boil the kettle. Pinkie went over the Sweetie Belle, who was still napping on the middle platform of the cat tree; she moved her hand to Sweetie's face and exposed cheek and rubbed Sweetie softly reflectively batted at Pinkies hand with all the force of a feather. "Sweetie, it's time to get up." Sweetie Belle opened one eye and stared at the baker. "If you want me to get up, then it's only fair I get the same treatment as Rarity since I am your girlfriend as well...or have you...forgotten about me?." Pinkie shook her head with wide eyes conveying shock, and she was now worried that she had been neglectful of her other girlfriend. "Oh no, I haven't forgotten, I haven't. I love you just as much as Rarity, no exceptions." Sweetie smirked at that statement. "If you love me so much, then hurry up and show me already." Pinkie smiled, knowing she had just been played. She leant down and planted three kisses, each one longer than the other, on Sweeties lips and parted on the third. "How was that, better?." "Hmm, it was nice, but I've seen how you kiss Rarity, and you never kiss me the same way." Pinkie twirled her hair in uncharacteristic nervousness and adopted a quieter, more sombre tone. "I'm sorry, Sweetie, I just thought you would find it gross or something. I had no idea you felt left out." Sweetie rearranged her position so that her legs were dangling off the side of the platform, then put one hand under Pinkie's chin and lifted her head, so they were looking at each other from eye to eye. "Hey, how about I decide if whether or not I think it's gross." Pinkie nodded. Sweetie Belle wrapped her arms around Pinkies neck and dragged her closer. Their lips met, and they began a slow kiss after the fourth kiss. Sweetie added her tongue to the mix, which prompted Pinkie to do the same. Every time their tongue's touched, she could feel Sweetie getting more aggressive with the kiss and heard her breathing heavily each time they parted for air. Pinkie was caught off guard when Sweetie began to suck on her tongue but then did the same in return, taking the kiss in stride. Sweetie forced her tongue past Pinkie's lips as she revelled in the feeling of the inside of Pinkie's mouth, exploring every inch she could. Sweetie melted into the kiss when she felt her girlfriend's slightly larger tongue invade her mouth in return. A few more minutes of passionate kissing passed, and before the two parted, they took it in turns to once again suck on one another's tongues with heated purpose. They finally removed themselves from each other a string of saliva connected the two flustered and panting girls. "So...do you think that was gross, Sweetie Belle?." The younger of the two lapped up the connecting saliva and swallowed it. "No...I don't think it was gross, what's so ever." Pinkie got her breathing under control. "Is this something you would want to do more often?." "I want to do this every single day...that was amazing." "Well, since you liked it so much, I'm sure I can fit it into my busy schedule." They both leant in for one more lingering kiss before being interrupted by a voice at the door. "So are you two finished? I was wondering where you both were." Both Pinkie and Sweetie Belle broke apart and looked toward the door, the sun highlighting the saliva around both girls' mouths. "Hi Rarity, how much did you see." Pinkie had a deep blush of crimson forming on her cheeks. "I saw everything, darling, and you defiantly put on quite the show. I never knew you enjoyed kissing so much, Sweetie Belle." Sweetie Belle didn't know where to look. "I just wanted the same as you, that's all. I was starting to feel...left out." Rarity placed the three cups of hot chocolate she had prepared down on the coffee table. "Well, how about we sit down on the sofa with our cocoa, and you can show me first-hand what you learnt with Pinkie, and I might be able to show you a few tricks I picked up along the way." Sweetie nodded with a smile as Pinkie helped her down from the tree, and they all gathered on the sofa. A sudden gust of wind caught the open door and caused it to slam shut. "Rarity...Sweetie, I love you both so much." Chapter 5Fluttershy and the two apple siblings were walking side by side, with collars on, Applejack's collar, made with sturdy and robust leather with three apples stitched into it. Apple Bloom's collar was a lot thinner and was knitted by Fluttershy for her birthday. Bloom had treasured it immensely and wore it constantly. Even on the day's that they weren't going to hang with their other friends. "Fluttershy, can we stop for a bite to eat? All this walkin' is makin me right hungry." Fluttershy looked over to Applejack, who was walking next to her holding her hand. "What do you think, Jacky?." "Sure, there ain't no harm in it; better to refresh, especially in this heat." The trio stopped at Bon Bon's Café & Delicatessen and took a seat outside under a large parasol. A melodic voice sounded from outside, and a girl with light green hair jogged out with a waitress outfit. She waved and approached the only occupied table. "Hey guys, good to see you." "Oh, hello, Lyra. You seem quite happy today." "What's not too like Fluttershy? It's sunny. I get to see my friends and Bon Bon, and I are celebrating our first anniversary together." "Well, congratulations, Mrs Heartstrings. I'm pleased for ya." "Thank you, Applejack, but there is no need for formalities. Lyra is fine." Applejack tipped her hat to Lyra. Apple Bloom chimed into the conversation while searching the menu. "Are you and Bon Bon going to be doing anything to celebrate?." "Oh no, just going to be relaxing, nothing too special she likes to rest after work, so maybe we will watch a movie or just stay at home...anyway enough about me, what did you guys want to order?." Fluttershy ordered a Tea and Club Sandwich, Applejack ordered a white chocolate milkshake with a Grillin, Chillin extra spicy burger and Apple Bloom had the Magical Mango Smoothie and a Walnut Salad. Lyra gave them the thumb's up and jogged back inside to relay the orders to Chef Bon Bon. Fluttershy systematically scratched behind both her pet's ears then started to rub their backs. They both leaned their heads on one of Fluttershy's shoulders, enjoying the calm and silence. Chapter 6Pinkies long-legged form stood at a picnic table aloft in the local park, standing on her tiptoes. "It seems where the first ones here." Rarity and Sweetie lay on the grass, basking in the sun. "Honestly, cupcake, we are the only ones here." Pinkie jumped down from the table. "Oh, yeah." Pinkie chuckled to herself and plopped herself down in-between her two girlfriends, both of whom had moved, so they were now resting themselves on Pinkie. It didn't take too long for a refreshing breeze to lull them off to a pleasant if short and interrupted slumber. "HEY, GUYS, WHAT'S UP!!" "HOWDY, GIRLS!" "Sup." Rainbow Dash and Applejacks shouts, followed by Spikes greeting as the formerly sleeping trio stood up and brushed themselves off. Pinkie, the ever-energetic, ran straight towards the group homing in on the newest member, Pinkie hoisting Scootaloo far into the air with a spin transitioning into a hug. Everyone started to mingle and chat idly for a few minutes catching up on events; the picnic basket's that Pinkie prepared were resting under the shade of a tree, so the contents didn't become warm and unpleasant. Fluttershy noticed Rainbow doing star jumps only to fall into a push-up, clutching at her summer dress. Fluttershy walked over. "Um, Rainbow, can I have a moment, please." Rainbow stopped mid star jump and gave Fluttershy her full attention. "Sure, Shy, what's up?." "Could we speak over by the tree?." Fluttershy and Rainbow walked over to the tree and stood under the shade away from everyone else. Once underneath the leaves and branches, Fluttershy asked her question's. "Dash, you know that Applejack and I are getting married, right?." "Sure do, Shy. It's going to be great you two belong together." Fluttershy gathered her thoughts. "What's up, Flutters? You seem to have a lot on your mind?." "Well, Rainbow, I wanted to ask you a favour if that's alright." Rainbow rested her hand on her shoulder and gave a slight squeeze. "You can ask me anything; you know that better than anyone else, so fire away." "I just wanted to know if you would like to be the Maid of Honour for our wedding." The question hit Dash like a ton of bricks, now overflowing with all different emotions. Rainbow slowly brought her trembling hands to her face and started to cry. Tears from both eyes fell to the grass below. She spoke through stuttering breaths, her delicate heart wasn't prepared, and it showed. "R...R-Really, you m-mean it." Fluttershy nodded with a smile. Not having the strength to run, Rainbow walked small steps toward her oldest friend, now helplessly crying with a mixture of happiness, shock and relief. Rainbow gently leaned into Fluttershy as the former was enveloped in a big soothing hug. "There's no need to cry Rainbow..." "Sorry... I'm just so happy you want me to be a part of your wedding; I was worried you wouldn't ask me. Twilight helped me make a scrapbook of what dress I would wear and everything." "Oh, you silly thing, of course, I would ask you. You were and still are one of the most important people in my life, and don't you forget it." Fluttershy could feel Rainbows legs give out, and both of them ended up on the grass, Fluttershy now cradling a sobbing Rainbow. She could hear her repeat the words 'thank you so much over and over again. Their eight other friends in the distance didn't disturb them and carried on chatting. "Hey Dashie, how about you show me that scrapbook of yours tomorrow." Rainbow looked up at her with tear-stained eyes. "...Really..." Rainbow couldn't help but croak out her reply. "Of course, I would love to see your ideas, and by the sounds of it, you've been more excited about my wedding than I have." "Thank you, Fluttershy, thank you so much." Fluttershy rubbed Dash's back, helping her calm down. After roughly five minutes, Rainbow had managed to calm down fully and was interrupted from the hug with Fluttershy when Twilight walked over holding a tennis ball. "Hey 'Cool Breeze' wanna fetch." Rainbow looked at her girlfriend and nodded happily. All three of them walked back over to the larger group; Rainbow held Twilight's hand and told her the breaking news, which Applejack had already relayed to everyone. Chapter 7The bodies of Apple Bloom Sweetie Belle and Rarity lounged about on blankets, occasionally licking the backs of their hand's while surveying their surroundings with a nonplussed uncaring expression and a false sense of superiority. They picked grapes and bits of cheese and nibbled on them with some 'mewing' in-between every other couple of bites. A few feet from the 'Cats' were the 'Dogs' and their owners; Applejack was in a fierce tug of war with Pinkie as they both grabbed tightly onto the rope and pulled in their respective directions. Usually, the farmer's constant manual labour helping her build muscle gave her the edge over most other people regarding strength tests. Still, Pinkie was surprisingly on par with her having some extra height over the rest of her friends gave her more leverage, and she was able to use a wider stance and was nearly impossible to move. 'Wooosh' A tennis ball whizzed through the air as Rainbow ran after it as fast as she could, sprinting to the max. Soon enough, it dropped to the ground, and Rainbow lunged towards the ball, grasping it securely in her hand's. She then turned toward the one who threw the ball and ran back. She skidded to a halt and dropped to her knees, and held the ball out in front of her. Twilight retrieved the ball from Rainbow's hands and stroked Dashie's hair before leaning down, kissing her. "Good girl Dashie...shall I throw it again?." Rainbow thought for a second but decided she would rather relax instead. Rainbow rubbed her hands together and blushed slightly. "Twi, would it be ok if we just cuddled over by the blankets...please?" Twilight extended her hand, helped Rainbow to her feet, and suddenly scooped her up into a bridal hold. She began to walk back. "Oh Dashie, of course, you can. You are my precious girlfriend, after all." Rainbow, with a now deep blush gracing her cheeks, leaned her head against Twilight's shoulder, smiling warmly at the affection and gently grabbed a strand of Twi's long hair bringing it to her nose to sniff and so she could fiddle with it. "Twilight..." There was a pause and then a response. "Yes 'Cool, Breeze." "I just wanted to say that...I love you." Twilight stopped and looked down at her. "What brought that on." Rainbow kept fidgeting with Twilight's hair. "Well, I don't think I say it enough...and because it's true, I do love you so much." Twilight kissed Rainbow on the forehead. "I love you to Dashie also very much." They arrived where everyone else was and sat down. Twilight lowered her girlfriend onto one of the empty blankets, then sat down behind her, so Rainbow's back leaned against her front. Twilight pulled Rainbow in close with a firm hug around her midsection. "Hey, Twi, can I ask you a question." "Hm? what question is that, Dashie?." "Will...we ever get married?." Twilight's response to this question was tightening the grip on Rainbows midsection and giving her sensitive ear a little nibble; Rainbow Dash shivered at the feeling. "Would you like to marry me, Rainbow?." Rainbow sat up a little and looked at Twilight. "Yes, I would...I." Twilight felt the telltale shakes of her Dashie as she tried to finish her answer, prompting Rainbow to turn around and face her entirely. They sat cross-legged, knees touching. Only one pair of knees were moving as Rainbow tried her best to hold her tears back. Still, it was a futile effort; soon, enough tears were flowing down the face of the suffering and love-struck girl. Twilight grabbed Rainbows hands with her own and rubbed them in a soothing motion. This gave her the confidence to carry on with her answer. "I want to be a good wife for you. I want to wake up next to you every morning...I...I want you to know that I truly love you and want to be with you...well...forever." Twilight was wiping away the tears as they fell during Rainbow's confession, and upon hearing the last of it, Twilight wrapped her in the most loving hug she could muster. "Oh Rainbow, what am I going to do with you? I'll gladly marry you...but for now, let's enjoy what we have at the moment, yeah?." Rainbow smiled and nodded as she snuggled up next to Twilight, both now lying on the blanket. Fluttershy was playing with Scootaloo scratching her stomach, feeding her sweets in exchange for performing simple tricks. Spike was sitting with Apple Bloom hand feeding her grapes and chocolates while trying his hardest to keep the blush off his face; Apple Bloom was also trying to fight back the heat in her face. They did not like each other like that, nope, not at all. Time flew by quickly, and it got late somewhat sudden. Everyone helped pack everything away into suitable bags and picnic baskets. After saying their goodbyes, the three groups went their separate way's and headed home for the night. Chapter 8Halfway through walking back to the library, Scootaloo succumbed to the tiredness. The activities were too much for her, and she ended up being carried the rest of the way back by Rainbow Dash, who also found that she couldn't stop yawning. Twilight and Spike were not fairing much better, the former resting her head on the latter's shoulder. "Hey, Sis, we're nearly home." "Okay, Spike, here are the keys." Twilight handed Spike the keys to the front door, who, in a teasing manner, jingled the keys next to Rainbows ear, causing her to make a little growl and try and bite the keys. "Twilight, tell Spike to stop teasing me." "Spike, stop teasing Rainbow. You know the key's get her excited." Rainbow and Spike poked their tounges at each other and shared a giggle afterwards; they finally reached their apartment door, and Spike unlocked the door and entered the apartment. "I'm going to head upstairs and put Scootaloo to bed." Spike gave her a thumbs-up, and Twilight staggered into a wall bumping her head. Spike followed Rainbow shortly after, and Twilight was trailing, rubbing her head as she went. Upon reaching the landing, Spike all but fell into his room. When Twilight went to check up on her pet's as she usually did, they had both fell asleep on their respective beds. The leash was strewn on the floor, and Rainbow held her tortoise plushie that Twilight had won for her on their first date. It had seen better day's but looked after, Scootaloo had wrapped herself in the bedsheets, and both girls were soundly asleep. Twilight smiled at the scene and went to her bedroom, taking off her shoes and unceremoniously sprawling herself on the covers. All four residents drifted off into their dreams; one dream was finding out that Searing Issue's had a 50% discount on all their stock. Another was performing mad tricks on her scooter and going viral. A simpler one was leisurely walking down the halls of an infinite library. In contrast, a similar one had a girl walking down the church aisle, lifting her bride's veil and saying I do. Chapter 9The morning cockerel stationed at Sweet Apple Acres bellowed its cock-a-doodle-doo at its loudest, having saved up his strength the night prior, the fowl cacophony echoed far and wide. Fluttershy's eyes flickered opened and lazily reached for a glass of water and took a long sip before putting the now empty glass back. She sat up and stretched and saw that at some time during the night, Apple Bloom had crawled onto the bed and wrapped herself around Fluttershy's waist and was unconsciously purr-snoring. She gently grabbed Apple Bloom and positioned her on her lap, giving her a big hug. "Hey, F'Shy, your nice and soft." "And you're nice and warm, Bloomy." Apple Bloom reached up, kissed Fluttershy on the cheek. "What're you doin ta' day?" "I promised Rainbow that I would go and look at her ideas for the wedding today. Would you like to go?" "I made plans with Sweetie yesterday for today, so I'll be with her" Apple Bloom and Fluttershy got out of the bed and walked downstairs to start breakfast, which turned out to be toast and homemade jam. "You and Spike looked quite cute together the other day." Apple Bloom started coughing and trying her hardest not to choke at the accusation. "I-I do not ha'v a crush on Spike; he's four years older than me we can't date." Fluttershy wiped her mouth clean of crumbs and raised a single eyebrow. "I never said anything about a crush....do you have a crush on Spike?" Blooms face lit up, and she was about to deny what Shy said but instead let out a big breath and caved in. "Yeah, but I can't go out with Spike; the age gap is too big." Fluttershy stifled a giggle and ruffled the other girl's hair. "Oh, don't be silly. He's not too old." "I guess, but I want a relationship. Like RD and Twilight there both the same age." Fluttershy shook her head, confusing Apple Bloom. "What, what did I say wrong?" "How old is Rainbow Dash Bloomy." "She's twenty-four; we celebrated her birthday a month ago." "Okay, so how old is Twilight." "The same isn't she; also twenty-four...she could be twenty-five." "Twilight turned twenty-nine on her last birthday." Apple Bloom was astonished by what she heard from her 'owners' mouth. "WHAAAT!, those two have a five year age difference...no wonder Twilight never advertises her age during her birthday's" "So, it's pretty safe to say that Spike is still in the ballpark, hmm." "Your gosh darn right he is. Now I just need to plan a time to ask him out." After breakfast had concluded, both of them got dressed in time for Applejack to arrive back from the farm. Big Macintosh drove away in his jeep that he had dropped his sister off in. "GIRLS, I'M HOME" About an hour later, Fluttershy and AJ arrived at the library, which by the looks of it was still under refurbishment, with whited-out windows and caution tape over the main doors. Applejack pressed the buzzer, and the voice of Scootaloo crackled into existence. "Who is it?" "It's Fluttershy and Applejack. Can we come in?" The door clicked open, and they made their way inside, where Scootaloo and Twilight greeted them in that order. "Hey, you two, what brings you over." "Hi Twilight, I promised Dashie I would look at her scrapbook today." "No wonder she's been jumping off the walls all morning." As Fluttershy and Twilight were talking, AJ walked into the kitchen to talk to Spike, who was drinking a High Horse Power energy drink, and as he saw his friend, he passed one to her too. "Cheers, Spike, so how ha'v you been lately?" Spike took a big swig of his highly caffeinated beverage before answering. "Yeah, I'm alright. It's been nice relaxing and all that." "You sure looked mighty relaxed hand-feeding Apple Bloom yesterday." "Never been much of a cat person myself, but yeah, it was fun...and ya know I like AB, she's cool." Applejack sensed an opportunity. "Did you know that my sis is a vegetarian?" "Oh, really, I had no idea." Applejack leaned into Spikes' ear. "That means no meat goes in her mouth." Upon hearing the innuendo, Spike spluttered, coughed, gasped and nearly fell to the floor with drink running out of each nostril. Applejack slapped her knee in hysterics. Spike composed himself enough to stand up and not look like someone who had just washed up on a beach. "Excuse me, AJ, but I need to go get a breath of fresh air." Apple Jack smirked and tipped her hat in his direction as he left for the front door. Scootaloo saw Spike coming her way and caught his attention. "Spike, could I like lay on your lap, please?" Spike glanced back and forth between the door and Scoots. "Yeah, sure." "Thanks, Spike" Spike sat on his prefered chair, big and leather with cushiony arms to boot. Scootaloo removed her trainers, put them out of the way, climbed onto the chair, and curled up. Spike began to stroke Scootaloo's arms and legs, then her belly before moving to her ears and scalp. Scootaloo started to pant out of appreciation and moved her head back into his touch. She eventually adjusted herself so that Spike could scratch her on the back. "Hey uh, Scootaloo, do you want me to...stroke you...umm down here too?" Scootaloo looked at Spike and rolled her eyes with a smirk. "Spike dude, you ask me the same thing every time we do this, I already said it's okay, I'm not embarrassed about it, and you shouldn't be either, plus I'm the one who asked for you to do it in the first place, if that's not confirmation then I don't know what is" Spike nodded in understanding and hovered his hand over Scootaloo's s denim-clad rump, lowered his hand, restarted his rubbing and scratching, and reached all of the different areas in the general vicinity and then dropped to her legs and feet. "Spike, this is nice. Can we just do this for the rest of the day?" Spike brought his hand back up to Scootaloo's posterior and heard her give a contented sigh in appreciation for the attention he was giving her favourite spot. "Yeah, no problem, got nothing better to do anyway." "Good because I didn't feel like moving, especially with your hands working wonders on my ass like that" Spike flinched at the rudeness of her wording but continued all the same. Rainbow rushed down the stairs holding a big book, making enough noise to wake the neighbours...if they had any, she then sped around the corner and caught Fluttershy in a big but gentle hug. "It's good to see ya, Flutters." "It's nice to see you too. Is that the book?" Rainbow presented the book then dragged Fluttershy over to the corner sofa. "Oh Dashie, these are simply lovely designs. You did think of everything, didn't you?" Rainbow blushed and hid her face in her friend's shoulder; she then pointed to a specific spot on the paper. "I liked this dress here...what do you think?" Fluttershy studied the picture in question with a calculated eye and gave Rainbow a one-armed hug. "It's lovely, Dashie. I'm sure you will look beautiful." Rainbow looked at Fluttershy with a sidelong gaze. "Do you mean that?" Fluttershy smiled and stroked Rainbow's hair. "I'm positive." Twilight sat down next to her girlfriend, one comforting hand on her thigh. "I told you she would like it, didn't I." Rainbow didn't respond but laid her head on Twi's shoulder. Applejack came into the living room and joined the fray, taking a gander at Rainbow's bride's maid dress. Spike had started to give attention to Scootaloo's inner thigh. After much pestering her crotch area, Spike was slightly uncomfortable at the extra attention that Scootaloo had talked him into giving her but appreciated the trust she had in him. "Hey, Spike, do ya mind rubbing my ass again?" Spike wordlessly gradually moved his hand back to her rump and continued his kneading. Everyone at some point had looked in his direction but paid it no mind and just made casual chit chat with one another. Time-pressed on, and soon enough, it was time for Fluttershy and AJ to go back home. After saying their goodbye's, Twilight and Rainbow Dash cuddled on the sofa, Spike still stroking and scratching Scootaloo's bottom as she sighed happily. Twilight decided to put the TV on and search through a list of films eventually settling on -Affection Truly- a romantic comedy that Rainbow Dash had introduced Twilight to when they first started dating. The film started, the lights dulled with a clap, and some rather intense relaxing took place. Chapter 10The main streets were dense with foot traffic which in reality wasn't that much. So Sweetie Belle was able to make good time in travelling to her destination. That particular destination was Limestone's Lime Soda Shack, and upon entering the store, she noticed that it was packed with customers sitting on the first and second floors. Sweetie walked up to the counter and grabbed the attention of the vendor. "Hi, Limestone. Can I get a pitcher of lime soda?" Limestone grunted in reply, wearing her almost permanent scowl; she would look angry even when she was happy, the only time she would look any different was when Limestone was ecstatic, in which case she would adopt a cruel smile, the type of smile that said 'I'm going to watch you suffer and I'm going to savour every second of it. "Yo, do you want it on the rocks or what." "You know it, give me 'Holder's Boulder'" Limestone grabbed a large ice egg, plopped it in the pitcher, walked over to the table that Sweetie Belle had stationed herself at, and unceremoniously plopped the pitcher on the table with a 'thunk'. "How's Pinkie...have you been treating her well?" Sweetie hit her head on the table before answering. "Limey, every time I come here, you always ask the same question... she's doing fine, and we're doing fine too, happy?" "I'm going to keep asking you every time you come here." Limestone walked back to the counter and began serving other customers. A chipper country drawl grabbed Sweetie's attention. "Howdy, Sweetie, I see you got th' drinks already." "Yeah, the owner is as happy as ever." Apple Bloom poured herself a glass. "Do you ever remember a time when Limestone smiled like actually smiling properly because she was genuinely happy?" Sweetie racked her brain for a couple of seconds but ended up shaking her head. "No, I can't say I have." Apple Bloom finished her glass of fizzy lime goodness and broached her friend with some news. "Hey, uh, Sweetie, I need to tell you something." "Are you finally going to announce that you like Spike?" Apple Bloom fell off her seat. "You're in cahoots with ma sista, ain't ya." Sweetie giggled into her glass, causing the drink to bubble. "Careful AB, your yokel is showing" Apple Bloom jumped up off the floor. "Oh, shuddup, I've got one of dem edu-ma-cation doohickeys." Sweetie Belle moved her seat closer to AB's. "So...when are you going to tell him." "Um, maybe during our next play date." "Which is tomorrow." "It is?" Sweetie Belle fell off her seat. "Of course it is. It's always on Tuesday and Thursday. How have you forgotten that already?" Apple Bloom helped Sweetie off the floor and proceeded to the counter to pay for the drinks. Limestone looked particularly miserable, which only seemed to increase when she saw the two younger girls approaching. "That will be six bits each." Sweetie took a ten-bit note and laid it on the counter. In exchange, Limestone replaced it with four-bit coins. "Bah, grumpy." The sound of several breaking glass muffled limestones reply, Apple Bloom couldn't hear what she said, judging by her facial expression and the shapes her mouth made. The words spoken were most defiantly some disgusting profanity not fit for young ears. The two girls went on a walk, and urban life was not very anything. The only arcade was undergoing refurbishment for what felt like the one-hundredth time, and due to the towns low population of teenagers, there were no suitable facilities that they could use to pass the time. At some point, they had encountered Starlight Glimmer, who was assisting her great and powerful girlfriend with a stage magic performance. Afterwards, they gave personal performances in making audience members disappear along with their money. The performance was entertaining. Still, there is only so much toleration that can be afforded to listen to someone referring to themselves in the third person and thus, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle called it a day and went their ways. Chapter 11Rainbow felt pressure applied to the mattress she was sleeping on and turned her head toward where her adoptive sister slept and noted that she was indeed still sleeping and relatively peacefully by the looks of it. Realising she wasn't the culprit, she looked over to where the disturbance originated and saw a Twilight sitting on the side of the bed in her pyjamas and messy purple hair. "Morning, Twi...you look pretty..." Twilight edged up the bed and crawled up and under the covers placing both hands on either side of Rainbows head. Twilights long hair crowned her girlfriend's scalp. She leaned her head down to rub hers against Rainbow's own and pecked her on the lips. "Thank you ', Cool Breeze', and you look as beautiful as always." Rainbows cheeks took on a red hint, and she immediately started to fiddle with a strand of the older girls hair twiddling it in her fingers, being careful not to knot it. "I'm not as beautiful as you brainiac'" Twilight smiled at the nostalgiac pet name and stroked Rainbows right cheek with a free hand. "Nonsense, since the first time we met, I saw you as nothing short of stunning. Even when you were going through that little tom-boy phase, I couldn't keep my eyes off of you." Rainbow gathered a few extra strands of hair into her already busy fingers. "Twilight, can I cuddle with you, please." Her voice was soft, almost desperate as if crying out for affection; Twilight knew that out of all the relationships in her group of her friends, Rainbow was the only one with a more or less significant age gap, and at that moment of realisation, Twilight noticed she wasn't looking at a woman in her mid-twenties, what she saw instead was a scared little girl who needed to be held, to be loved and reassured that everything would be okay. Despite only being mere inches from one another, Rainbow felt alone and lost, like a child does when they lose their mum or dad in a busy supermarket. Rainbow felt scared, and as if on cue, moister built up in her eyes, and the resulting droplets left little lines as they travelled down to the pillow. Twilight didn't wait to be told and laid down beside her, scooping the slightly shorter girl into a warm embrace. I'm here; it's okay. Twi-Twi's here." Rainbow snuggled herself into Twilights embrace as much as she could, trying her hardest to get the most optimal amount of purple smart in her personal space as humanly possible, which for Rainbow was never enough. "Twilight...I have a confession to make. Don't be mad, okay." Twilight gave her girlfriend a gentle squeeze, and she kissed the top of her head. "Whatever it is, we can work through it together." Rainbow moved her free arm under the covers and rested it on Twi's hip, and tilted her head until their eyes met. "Well...I think that I might be madly in love with you." Twilight chuckled with a few snorts for good measure and rested her forehead against Dashes. "Well, in that case, I might have a confession to make. "What's the confession..." Twilight ever so gently pinched Rainbows exposed ear and began caressing it with slow circular motions between her finger and thumb. "I have the most loving, gentle and caring girlfriend I could've possibly asked for, one who is as delicate as a snowflake and just as beautiful. Every day that I see you, I think to 'myself, 'wow, Twilight, you are the luckiest girl out there and do you know what else I know." Rainbow looked with wide eyes brimming with fresh tears and shook her head. "I know that the girl I fell in love with back then and that very same girl here right now will look stunningly beautiful, with this wedding ring on her finger. Rainbow's heart was going a mile a minute. The voice in her throat died as she looked on in utter shock. As Twilight grabbed her hand that had been previously resting on her hip was now out in the open, the ring that Twilight held was a simple diamond ring. Twilight gently slid the ring on her girlfriend's finger with care and precision. "Rainbow Dash, will you do me this great honour by becoming my wife." Rainbow Dash was now openly crying as the situation that she found herself in was reality. "Yes...oh, Celestia, yes." Rainbow and Twilight hugged fiercely. They parted to kiss and kiss some more, hardly taking a break between each touch. "Should we tell Spike." "We don't have to. He already knows." "He does?" "Of course...who do you think made the ring." Rainbow could not believe what she was hearing. "He made that ring for us." Twilight shook her head in disagreement. "No, not for us, just you, Spike made this just for you and only you...he thinks of you as his best friend forever, he told me himself and wanted to express that friendship with this token, Spike said he was looking forward to getting two extra sisters." "How could I ever pay him back for such a lovely gift? It isn't like he's looking for anything in return, although a hug wouldn't go amiss would it 'Cool Breeze'" Cleaning herself up in the bathroom, Rainbow knocked on Spike's door with firm strikes. Rainbow could hear the bed creaking and yawning as lazy sounding footsteps made their way towards the door as it clicked open. Spike was in a T-shirt and boxer shorts. "Oh, hey, what's up? I-" Spike stopped talking as Rainbow embraced him in a firm but a gentle hug. Spike hugged his friend back. "Thanks for the ring. I'll treasure it." "Wouldn't want it to go missing on my homegirls big day." Chapter 12Fluttershy was relaxing in her back garden, sitting on a quaint wooden bench watching the birds feed off the berry trees and the squirrels running up and down from their hollowed-out homes. It was pleasant with a slight breeze and a fair amount of sunshine. The peace was not to last as a very disgruntled Applejack, Applebloom and a stoic Big Macintosh rounded the corner. "Consarnit, damned wing rodents!" "There eatin all our crop!...just what I need after hanging with Sweetie Belle, to come home to those 'suckers'" "Eyeup" Fluttershy gathered both girls into a short hug and parted. "Have the bats returned to the farm." Applejack couldn't help but snort in anger. "They're not only back, but they've already gobbled up half of our zap apples. I had to call pest control to get rid of them!" Apple Bloom looked thoroughly annoyed but also tired, and her hair was a complete mess. "We can't work the farm for the next couple of day's, so we have nothing to do!" Big Mac stepped forward in large form casting shadows over the other girls, and removed his hat, putting it to his chest. "Well, howdy, ms Fluttershy, I'm mighty sorry for dropping in on you like this, but would it be ok if I stayed over for a little bit." "You're more than welcome, Macintosh, and we are going to be family. After all, the sofa folds out into a bed, so you can use that." "Much appreciated." The four of them walked into the house and then into the living room where they all sat—each with a hot beverage of some description. A little while into the relaxation, the three Apple siblings took it in turns to use the shower as all the hoo-ha with the bats left them at best smelling rather 'ripe'. The recognisable jingle of the house phone startled Fluttershy from her thoughts; she hurried over before it stopped ringing. "Um, Hello..." "Hi, Fluttershy, it's only me." "Twilight, it's so nice to hear from you." "You too, say I hope it's not too much trouble. I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind 'dog-sitting Dashie for a couple of hours?" Fluttershy felt an excited grin stretch across her face at the prospect of having some time with her oldest friend. "I would love to...Big Mac's going to be here as well." "She'll like that. Big Mac and Dashie have good chemistry. I'll drop RD off in about...five minutes." Fluttershy said her goodbye's and did a little jiggle in place. "Somone looks happy." "Rainbow Dash is coming over for a while." Applejacks face adopted a competitive smirk but then remembered something, and it changed into a small smile and rubbed the back of her head. "I forget that Rainbow isn't like her younger self anymore... she's her true self now, it was obvious now that I think about it, the race's an arm-wrestling match, Rainbow didn't like doing any of those things, but she did them because I liked to do them." Fluttershy stroked AJ's back. "It's ok, Jacky. I sometimes forget too, and we've all changed. Some of us have just changed a lot more than we realised." "Well, I'm going to respect the fact that Dash ain't no roughhousing tomboy anymore and be extra gentle with her" "I think Rainbow will appreciate that." -Five Minutes Later- Twilight's car pulled up outside the Flutter-Jack residence; both girls got out of the car and walked up to the house. Rainbow transitioned into a small sprint when she saw Fluttershy open the front door and gave her a big hug. Fluttershy scratched the back of Rainbows head, eliciting some soft pants. In time, she broke the hug for Twilight to walk up behind her and kiss her on the cheek. "Now ', Cool Breeze', you be a good girl, ok." Rainbow nodded enthusiastically. "Don't worry, Twilight; Rainbow always behaves herself." Rainbow turned to face her fiancée, grabbed her head and planted a big kiss on her lips. "It's ok ', Brainiac'. No need to worry about me." Twilight smiled at the second use of the pet name and stroked her cheek before turning around and heading back to the car. The front door closed behind them as they entered the house and the hum of Twilights car faded into the distance. Fluttershy removed the leash from Dash's collar, and they both went into the living room. Applejack stood up from the sofa with her hand extended but was caught off guard when the other girl glomped her with a big hug. "It's good to see you, AJ." Applejack rubbed her back before answering. "It's really good to see ya too, sugar cube." Next was Applebloom, who received a scratch behind the ear and purred in content. Big Mac stood up from his seat; Rainbow Dash was officially the shortest in the room. She took a couple of steps and ran at the towering farmer with both arms open. Macintosh caught her with one hand and raised Rainbow into the air until her back was touching the ceiling in a playful show of affection. Dash burst out laughing at the weird sensation. "Mac, ha..haha...come on, let me down." Mac's voice was deep but carried with it a smirk. "I'm sorry I didn't quite get that. Could you speak up?" "I SAID GET ME DO- HAHAHA- FROM HEEEERE" Big Mac lowered and re-raised his arm, giving his guest a bumpy ride. "What was that? Did you say to keep you on the ceiling all day...alrighty then." "NO!... Applejack, can you tell your brother to put me down, please." "Nope" Rainbow poked her tongue at her friend and then honed in on Fluttershy. "Shy, can you help me down." "I think I better get dinner started." Fluttershy, seemingly not having heard her, walked into the kitchen." Rainbow just hung there limply, not knowing what to do. "I've been betrayed." "No, I think you've been 'let down." Rainbows eyes went wide, and before she could say anything, she was dropping and fast towards the floor. Both of Mac's hands caught her sides, and she stopped her nose inches from the floor. She got up and tidied her clothes, then gave Mac a usual hug which he returned in kind. "Every time?" "Yep, Every time." Applejack went into the kitchen to help Shy, Big Mac turned on the TV to some Quiz Show, Rainbow laid on the plush carpet, and Apple Bloom rested her head on the girl's stomach and at some point, all three of them had fallen asleep, they woke up to the smell of delicious piping hot food, they all got themselves seated at a large round table a succulent joint of lamb that had marinated in mint sauce idled in the centre, everyone except Applebloom had the lamb, while she had a nut roast. "This is delicious, Fluttershy, thank you." "Oh, I didn't cook this. I only made the mint sauce." Rainbow looked over to Applejack, who was smirking slightly. "Thank you, AJ. It's delicious." Applejack reached over and ruffled Rainbow's hair." "It ain't no problem, Dash, now eat up we have rhubarb and apple crumble for dessert." ... After everyone had finished eating, they sat back. Each made a little burp to honour the food, and then one horrendously loud burp, which could've made the water ripple, drew attention to Big Mac, mouths agape. Mac kept a stone face and pointed to his left, and everyone mouths grew a little wider when they saw a blushing Fluttershy. "...Um, excuse me..." Everyone burst into fits of laughter, which quickly quieted when what had to be the most significant dish of crumble stumbled from the kitchen and onto the table. Applejack looked at everyone with a semi-serious expression. "Now, I expect every morsel cone, and because I know you must still be hungry, I made one for each of you." Big Mac and Rainbow looked at each other in astonishment, and then they both looked towards AJ. "That's not funny..." "Good, cuz I ain't got much of a head for humour...now to get to eatin." ... A full Big Mac sat down on the plush armchair. A full Rainbow Dash sat down on the full Big Mac. A full Apple Bloom sat down on a full Rainbow Dash that was sat down on a Full Big Mac, and together, they all fell asleep. A deep bellowing noise emanated from the triple occupied seat. Rainbow woke up in shock from the unexpected noise and screamed, alerting Big Mac into standing up, inadvertently tossing the other two to the floor. Apple Bloom gave a startled hiss as a first response, and then they sniffed once twice three times. "Ah, for cryin out loud, Mac...oh god, I can smell the mint sauce." Apple Bloom left the room, leaving a guffawing Rainbow rolling around on the floor, which was about to have a stitch from laughing so hard. Big Mac opened the nearest window. "Pardon me." Rainbow wiped a tear from her eye. "It wasn't even you who farted, and it was me...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!" Apple Jack and Fluttershy looked on in horror at their friend who had just let off a whopper of a rear-end woodwind solo. "Well, I'll be darned, missus Dash. I'm kinda jealous." Rainbow looked at Fluttershy through tear-stained eyes. "Sorry about that, Flutters" Fluttershy waved her friend off. "Oh, no need to apologise, Dashie...you can help with washing and drying. "...Wut..." Fluttershy and AJ both looked at her with eyebrows raised. "Fine, come on, Apple Bloom, let's go wash up." Rainbow casually dragged the younger sibling with her. "Hey, I don't consent, no! AJ, help me." "Don't break anything, Apple Bloom." "Fine, I'll help, but I'm doing the dryin." -Two Wet Pet’s Later- Big Mac was reading the latest issue of Orchard's Monthly, and Apple Bloom was sat with Fluttershy while receiving some scratches in all the right places. Rainbow had decided to sit next to Applejack, who encapsulated her with a strong arm. At first, Dash was surprised by the action but soon warmed up and felt comfortable enough to rest her head on the farmer's shoulder. The size disparity between the two bordered on hilarious. Applejack was tall and muscled. At the same time, Rainbow Dash was smaller and agile, which left a lot to be desired in the strength department but give her some running shoes, and you got yourselves a human bullet. Applejack found this out the hard way when during a game tag a couple of years ago, she thought she had a good chance of catching her friend but caught her off guard when she had had nearly gagged her only for her target to sprint off into the distance at a cheaters pace. Even now, AJ has not been able to catch her friend in a game of tag. One by one, sleep took hold, and eyes began to close the woes and frustrations, and excitements mellowed out into dreams and memories, and then Twilights car pulled up outside and soon enough, the Librarian and her Dog were on their way home. Chapter 0-PrologueThe twice-weekly get together that four friends and their three pet's attended almost religiously was underway. This activity was a little something founded by a close group of childhood companions to live out their harmless pet-play fantasies. The Seven friends all agreed that there would be no role reversal and the pets would stay pets while the owner's stayed owners as not to confuse the situation and put others in a position where they did not feel comfortable. It turned out the selection process for who would wear the collar and hold the leash was straightforward. The result was that the Purple-Haired Librarian and Her Green Haired Little Brother would look after the Kaleidoscopic Athlete. At the same time, the Gentle Nature Enthusiast would care for the Hardworking Farmer, and the Fun Loving Baker would tend to the needs of the Charitable Perfectionist. Everyone was happy with this turnout. It has been like this for the last three years. Living in a small town such as this one meant you got to know the townsfolk, and in turn, they got to know you. In addition to the town being so small, it was also very open-minded. Nearly one-half of the citizens had a romantic inclination towards the same sex, and the other half living their lives against society's norms. Some were in polyamorous relationships, few others, such as sibling's romantically involved with each other. The unwritten rule of this little town was that if you were not hurting anyone or breaking any laws, then you could live how you wanted to, and they did. Chapter 4Rainbow was now fully dressed in her blue hoodie and running shorts, her hair neatly tied up into a ponytail, and she put on her 'I don't care if I get these dirty' trainers, she could hardly contain her excitement. "Twilight, Spike, come on, we're going to be late!" Twilight walked over to Rainbow Dash in a purple vest and jeans and some cleaner looking trainers of her own holding a leash. "Okay, Rainbow, calm down, right, turn around, and I'll put the leash on." Rainbow beamed at that and spun around and stood stock still, moving her ponytail out the way, so Twilight had better access to her collar. 'CLICK' Rainbow shivered at the noise of the metal locking its self in-place. She felt a soft but firm tug on the leash, turned around, and wound up embraced with a kiss and a cuddle from Twilight. "You're so cute with your walking gear on, Dashie." Rainbow blushed and hid her face in twilights neck and gave a muffled reply." "Thanks' Twi; you're cute too." Twilight rubbed Rainbows back as they hugged, only parting when they heard Spike coming down the stairs. Spike had decided on a black t-shirt that had a picture of two dragons. One was green breathing purple fire and one that was purple breathing green fire. The two jet's of flame met in the middle and formed a smouldering middle finger with the word [YOU] underneath it in brackets. Complemented with Spikes own leather, a barbed collar with a matching leather bracelet on his left wrist, and black ripped jeans and heavy-looking black combat boots to finish the ensemble. Spike took a drag from his E-Cigarette and exhaled a thick white cloud that smelt apple and cinnamon. Rainbow took a big sniff. "That smells better than the last one you had." "Thanks, I saw it in the shop yesterday and thought I would give it a test drive. Glad you like it." Twilight dispersed the smoke with her hands. "Can you please do that outside in the future?." Spike puffed a single smoke ring into the air to confirm and headed outside, followed by Rainbow and Twilight, who held onto the leash. "Spike lives up to his nickname of 'Little Dragon', doesn't he Twi." Twilight nodded an affirmative, and Spike turned to face the both of them and gave a cheeky grin.
Chapter 1Above a public library lived three people, the librarian, her little brother and their pet. I swear we need to get a new boiler."
Chapter 2Inside a quaint cottage not far from the centre of town and only a walk from the town's isolated farm, a lady was standing in her kitchen, whistling in tune to the wild but ever-present birds on her windowsill.
"Rarity...Sweetie, I love you both so much."
Chapter 5Fluttershy and the two apple siblings were walking side by side, with collars on, Applejack's collar, made with sturdy and robust leather with three apples stitched into it.
I'll treasure it." "Wouldn't want it to go missing on my homegirls big day."
Chapter 12Fluttershy was relaxing in her back garden, sitting on a quaint wooden bench watching the birds feed off the berry trees and the squirrels running up and down from their hollowed-out homes.
