Pov pinkie pie
My eyes fluttered open. Ha. Fluttered. Fluttershy. I am so going to use that as a joke later. Anyway. My eyes opened... I was indoors? I remember getting my leg stabbed by one of those meanie bugs. I felt shocked as I suddenly pulled my blanket up.

There was a weird looking glass box thingy on the spot where I was stabbed. Inside of the glass box was this weird purple stuff that kinda tickled everything that wasn't the wound. I raised an eyebrow and scrunched up my face. "hmm. Did I do something last night with the girls?". I asked myself thinking everything was a dream, but I already knew that it wasn't a dream.

"PINKIE!". I heard rainbow dash yell. A huge grin on my face was visible for her to see. "hi'a dashie! What happened?". I asked. Rainbow ignored me, like she sometimes does and she tackled me in a hug.
"I'm so glad your OK.". She said. I patted her back with a less creepy smile on my face.

"so what happened?". I asked again. This time rainbow was actually willing to answer me. She stopped the hug and looked me in the eyes. OK... Not creepy at all. GASP! Is she proposing or something! No. To many people would question the story at this point.

"some guys called the Mobile Infantry came in and saved us. They aren't from this world and even applejack was able to confirm it!". She explained to me. I narrowed my eyes and nodded my head slowly at the explanation. Then I realized something. I get to do something I never did before in the history of equestria.

"I GET TO THROW A WELCOME TO EQUESTRIA, THANKS FOR SAVING US AND FIXING MY LEG PARTY!!!!!". I yelled so loud I thought this place would collapse. Rainbow dash looked like she went deaf.

well no shit Sherlock!

"Go away author! You need to keep writing, and get as many characters into the love triangle as you can!".

NOT SO LOUD! You'll ruin it for the readers!

"I forgot to ask. When will the rest of the military show up?".

that's strike two pinkie!

"yikes sorry.". I looked over to rainbow dash who seemed to be wondering where that voice was coming from. I better get her to think it was only her imagination before I get to strike three! I slapped her across the face.

She shook her head repeatedly.
"what happened?". She asked. I let out a nervous chuckle. "you drifted off into space there.". I said. She shrugged her shoulders. "OK the medic guy said that your stab wound would heal in a few more hours. Just try and relax.". Rainbow said.

(boom boom boom)

A man with black armor and a helmet appeared in the room. I only just realised that this was a tent. WEIRD. Though for another creature. He looked nice, and-

please, just dont

Fine. He looked worried about something.

Pov Damien moments before
This wasn't exactly supposed to be a base. It was only going to be for a few hours for us to get our bearings but no! The bugs just have to come back, in a force of twenty. I know there were hundreds of bugs that probably came with us, though I am wondering why they haven't come at us full force.

A fire fly bug zooms over the sky. It is about to set fire to the medical tent. The firefly bug is the same thing as a normal hopper, only these ones are on fire, and they can shoot fire. Good thing about them is that they're slow. It's so much easier to hit them.

looking down the sights, into the air I fired the gun. The bug exploded into nothing but fire. It wasn't as pleasuring as seeing a hopper fall to the ground but they do make up for it by exploding. It then clicked in my mind. That tanker was right in front of me before we got here. So where is it? I pushed that thought aside and went to the medical tent.

Once inside, I could see that the pink one, and the rainbow one were talking. The pink one was looking at me with interest. That's when I realized I still had a worried look on my face. I took a deep breath. "hello. My name I damien. The camp is under attack and we have to get to the center. The medic will assist you.". I then left.

I started to head to middle of the small camp. As I was on my way two of the bugs got past our defenses. I aimed down the sights again and held my breath. I squeezed the trigger and the bug dropped immediately. The other bug was getting a little to close for comfort. I started to use the shotgun attachment on my rifle. The bug flinched as its lower jaw flew off and landed a few feet away. I pumped the gun and shot again. Once more the bug flinched and there was only a few blood splatters and the loss of its tendrils. Frowning, I began to shoot repeatedly. The bug dropped only inches from me. My heart was beating. I shot the bug a few more times, before reloading my rifle. I was running low on ammunition.

I could hear the sound of victory cries as the last of the bugs were killed off. "Phew!". I yelled. I unbuckled my helmet and took t off. I wiped the sweat from my face before putting the helmet back on. I started to head to the center of the camp, Where Natasha and the humanoids were talking.

"you can all come with us. Our boat is not to far away and we have more than enough room.". The pirate lady was saying. I gotta hand it to her. For a pirate, she is surprisingly kind. She then noticed me approaching. Was she hiding her face? She just now moved her hat to cover some of her face.

"excuse me but I don't think I allowed any of you to properly meet my friend here.". Natasha said. She was grinning when she said that.
"lady's I would like you to meet Damien.". Natasha introduced me. I gave a solute. "pleasure to meet you all.". I said. "darling! It is a pleasure to meet you. I am rarity.". The obvious rich girl said. Next to her was a country girl. "howdy! Names applejack. Always nice to meet a new face.". She said. "I'm Fluttershy.". Said the pink hair girl. She was smiling and kept eyeing me.

of course no one notice she was eyeing him with dreamy eyes

"twilight sparkle. It is always nice to meet a soldier.". She said. She then saw my prosthetic. She looked like she wanted to question it but I gave her a look that said don't.

Then I turned to the pirate. "h... Hi.. My names Calaeo.". She said. I just smiled. "nice to meet you. I can see how you lost one of your legs. I just so happened to lost my arm.". I said trying to make her lose interest in my eyes. That seemed to have worked. "m... Maybe we can trade stories?". She said. I gave her a nod. She seemed to have regained her confidence, after I started to leave. Woman are strange. No matter what species it is.

Author's Note

So this chapter wasn't exactly meant to be action filled. More along the lines of a cutscene to progress through the story. I guess? I just needed to find a way progress to the next chapter. Also.
Two chapters in one night?! (I have nothing to do until tomorrow)
