Pov Damien
Waking up after a battle is always one of the hardest things to happen. You always are the last one to learn about the casualties, or your the last one to learn about some kind of bad news. This time is an exception. I know that if I’m waking up than everyone made it out just fine.

I awoke, with the dark brown color, that is wood to be towering over me. I attempted to lean forward, but nearly found it impossible. I looked down at my body to see it encased in a body sized bacta tank. I sighed. Not in relief, or in reassurance. It was in complete boredom.

“GASP!”. Or so I thought. I turned my head to the right to see Calaeo and Natasha. Natasha gave me a warm smile, while Calaeo tried her best to stand straight. “You are one crazy son of a bitch.”. Natasha said to me. I grinned at her. “What can I say? I did what I had to do.”. I replied to her.

Calaeo cleared her throat into her fist. Weird. A parrot, with hands. I never gave it thought until now. “Well, Damien I would like to welcome you into my ship.”. Calaeo said. A question sprung in my head. “How long was I out?”. I asked. “Three days.”. Calaeo said. Natasha had a mischievous look on her face. “Calaeo never left your side.”. She added. A blush found its way on both mine, and the captains face.

“Well the medic will be in here to take off the bacta tank. When he’s done, I want you to get something to eat.”. Natasha said. I nodded as she walked out of the room. The parrot captain and I were alone for a moment.
“The elements are worried about you.”. Calaeo said to break the ice. Wait what? “The what?”. I asked. She was relieved for the change of topic, of her being by my side. “The elements. Twilight and her friends. They each represent an element of harmony.”. She explained.

Just then, the medic came in and started to unhinge the several locks, and screws to the bacta tank that was attached to my body. “The elements of harmony?”. I asked as the medic worked.

“The elements are the most powerful objects in this world. The only way to use them is if the element bearers use the power of friendship to use them.”. It was at this moment, I started to chuckle. “What’s so funny?”. I heard twilight ask. She came into the room, and she must of heard Calaeo’s explanation. “Do you honestly think that every problem in the world can be solved by friendship?”. Twilight, nodded enthusiastically.

Ten Minutes Later
Twilights jaw was wide open. For the past ten minutes or so, I had explained, the corruption, the world hunger, and the poverty on earth. She had no way to actually answer my previous question. She actually looked upset that the universe isn’t all sunshines and rainbows.

The medic had unhinged the last hinge. “Alright you should be good to go. Just take it easy for a while.”. He instructed me. I gave him my thanks and I stood up. I stretched, and I popped a few joints. I was able to get a good look around the room as well. It was all covered in a dark brown wood, with a few chests here and there. A hammock hung next to my bed which I found out was a mattress on top of a desk. I guess I needed to be on a flat surface.

I also noticed that I only had pants on. “Um. where’s my shirt?”. I asked. A blush found it’s way on the parrots face, while Twilight was handing me my shirt. Where was it? Did she just pull it out of the air like magic? I put the skin tight black shirt on. It did a good job at covering the many scars that were on my body.

I popped my neck, and cracked my knuckles. “Alright I better get to eat. I said. “I can take care of that!”. Pinkie yelled. “GAH!”. I yelled. I flinched a little. “Where did you come from?”. I asked. She just shrugged. “Look it’s just pinkie pie being pinkie pie.”. Twilight said. Oh this is one of those drop it things.

I nodded to her explanation on pinkie. “Alright so how can you help me pinkie?”. I asked. She grinned as she pulled out several cupcakes. They were all covered in a black icing, with red letters on them. The letters read Mobile Infantry. I took a cupcake and took a bite. Iit was incredible. It was sweet, soft, and tasted a little like honey. I ate the rest of the cupcake and ate a few more.

“Ok I think you might want to get some real food in you.”. Twilight said. I stopped my chewing and nodded. “Thank you so much pinkie.”. I thanked her. She put her hands behind her back. “Oh it was nothing.”. She was saying.

The boat swayed a few times. The sound of gunfire started to fill the air.
“That’s my cew!”. I said as I ran out the door. As I got outside on the top deck, I saw a rifle on the ground. I picked it up cocked it. “What are we shooting at?!”. I yelled. One of the men looked to me. “Fireflies!”. He yelled.

I aimed the gun upward, and I could see a small swarm of fireflies. There were at least twenty to twenty five of them. They got into firing range, and that’s all I needed. Everyone started to fire their guns. My rifle was lighter, and it fired faster.

I must have picked up Natashas gun. Only fleet personal and leaders got to use this rifle. I pushed it aside. I fired the rapid firing gun towards the swarm. Several of the fireflies exploded into their fiery mist, while other only lost at least a limb and kept going.

Stubborn bastards. I fired some more and took down another firefly. I had to change targets constantly. Aiming to the left I fired a little more, but a ticking sound indicated an empty clip.

“Not again.”. I said. “I’M OUT!”. I yelled. Natasha also had picked up a random rifle. She looked to me. “Here!”. She yelled. She tossed me a new clip of ammo. “Make em count!”. She said. I nodded. I unloaded my empty clip and shoved in the fresh clip.

I aimed forwards again, and the fireflies were getting closer. I started to fire and took down three more. As we took down the bugs, I had come to realize. How did these fireflies fly all the way out here? I had to push it aside because the last five fireflies were here.

They were slowing down, but they threw their corrosive fire onto the boat. It almost hit twilight but she jumped out of the way at the last second. Calaeo’s crew started to fill buckets of water and started to douse the fires that were put on the boat.

I fired a little bit more, and took down one of the remaining bugs. Though they came back and they all started to spray their fire on the boat. The boat was completely ablaze, but it could easily be solved with some water.

I stopped firing my gun and helped fill the buckets. We douse the flames quickly. I aimed my gun back up, but one of the fireflies was going straight for Natasha. I aimed an blew it into its flame mist. “Thanks!”. She yelled to me. “No worries.”. I said back to her.

That left three more bugs. One of the troopers shot down the bug out of sheer luck. Then the platoons marksman took down the last two with ease. The bugs were attempting to… retreat? The marksman took aim and fired twice.

The bugs were no more. The sea was coated in their limbs and some of their fire. I sighed in relief. “Is everyone ok?”. I heard Natasha ask. There were a lot of yes ma’ams. Then there was a few ‘I don’t even know.’. I honestly cannot blame them for their responses.

“Alright Calaeo when do we reach equestria?”. Natasha asked.
“Because those bugs have been attacking the boat we have been making pit stops, but by evening we should get there.”. Calaeo replied. Fluttershy walked up to me.

“You look hungry. We have bread and salads over here.”. She said. I don’t care what it is. I was prepared to eat anything consumable.

Efter eating I took a smell of the sea air. Hadn’t had this in a long time. I remember when I used to go fishing with dad. I was broken from my thoughts, when a loud voice rang out.

Land ho!!”. I guess it was later than I thought.
