Hal's life is going nowhere fast. He has no interest left in anything, from his job, to girls, parties, or even his studies. Days pass by like cars on the freeway, and Hal has long since lost anything worth looking forward to. All in all, he's stuck with some pretty crappy times, and this is all before being run over by the girl on the rainbow moped.

Now, to add onto everything, Hal wakes up stuck in Equestria, in a body he most certainly cannot call his own. Half-formed memories flit through his head as he tries to make sense of this new world; as he tries to find his place. And every night, he's reminded of a phrase he can't make sense of.
