//-------------------------------------------------------// Megadimension Neptunia VII: Nep in Equestria -by Lusaminia- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Nep Arrives! //-------------------------------------------------------// The Nep Arrives! “Well hello there Blueblood,” Celestia said with a role of her eyes. This must have been the sixth time this week her nephew had come to court with something. “Auntie, I know what you’ve said about Discord, but I think you need to do something about him,” Prince Blueblood said. “I didn’t think it was necessary, but for the past few weeks he has been causing considerable damages to the homes of Canterlots nobles. The kitchens, gardens, and numerous other things all need repairs and we just need the bits to make them… so, um, please give us some.” Celestia sighed as she heard this, knowing immediately where it was going and how much of a lie that all was. It was typical of the nobles to try and ask for tax cuts and money and all of that stuff, but the biggest thing they shared beyond greed was that they all were bad liers. Yes, perhaps Discord did mess with the nobility of Equestria to no end but he was reformed (at least that’s what Celestia had to keep telling herself) and she believed that would keep him from causing mayhem on the level Blueblood was describing. Besides, Celestia would have known herself if damage had been done to such a large amount of the building right next to Canterlot Castle. “Blueblood, I think we need to talk,” Celestia said, putting down the list of ponies that were suppose to visit her today. “You know what I think you need right now? Some sort of hobby, because I am getting pretty tired of your constant requests for money. How many times have you visited this week about the same exact thing?” “I wouldn’t have to keep coming if you just gave us the money that we are searching for!” Blueblood responded. “The nobility for a long time now has been looking for the money to keep up with the trends and some the houses, especially the blueblood household, has been falling behind. If I don’t do something about it than my house will become a laughing stock!” “And have you at all thought about using your own bits?” Celestia asked. “But…” Blueblood stammered, trying to finish. “But auntie, that’s my money.” Celestia couldn’t help but facehoof at that sentence, knowing full well that it was the only answer she could have realistically expected. “Listen Blueblood,” She said, her voice so monotone that she sounded more bored than disappointed. “The answer is no. That’s what it was when you asked about this yesterday, and the day before, and when you come to me tomorrow asking for the same thing it will still. Be. NO!” “Auntie, plea-” Blueblood wouldn’t be allowed to finish that sentence, as some unknown voice suddenly called from absolutely nowhere. “Look out!” Celestia looked around the room for who had suddenly spoken up, but found nothing out of the ordinary. Blueblood was in the center of the room, also looking around nervously, while two guards stood guard at the throne room door. Next to her was Raven Inkwell, like always, busy looking over today's schedule like normal. Celestia didn’t recognize the voice, and was sure that it was not any of the ponies who were already in the room with her. The only other place it could have come from was outside the room, but no way could any normal pony yell through thick marble and stone. That train of thought quickly came to an end when, without warning, something crashed through the roof of the throne room. Dust kicked up as pieces of marble hit the ground, causing those standing in the room to cough. When it cleared, Celestia quickly made sure that everyone was okay, seeing that the only one who wasn’t unharmed was Blueblood, but it wasn’t the marble that had landed on top of him. Instead, Celestia was surprised to find what looked to be a human girl in a white and purple coat and knee high blue and white striped socks. Under her was Blueblood, knocked out cold from the impact with his eyes closed in the shape of x’s. Play me (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRSg2okxFaE) “Oowie, that was not fun in the slightest,” The girl said, rubbing her head with a smile on her face, eyes closed. “You know, I would have to say that was probably down there as one of my worst landings to date. Usually I end up in a forest or the sidewalk, but who would have guess that I would land in a castle. Now, where did I end up this time?” “Excuse me miss,” Celestia called, her eyes meeting dark purple ones. “You are kind of on- “Oh, thank goodness there is actual society this time around,” The girl stated as she got up off of Blueblood, interrupting the princess in the process. “I mean, yeah, it’s a little weird that you are all horses, but that is still much better than the first individual you meet wanting to eat you.” “I was going to say that you are on my nephew but… never mind,” Celestia said, dismissing the unconscious stallion. She could deal with him after this sudden and abrupt guest was dealt with. “Would you mind telling me your name, miss?” “Oh come on, I’m sure you know who I am,” The girl replied, standing proud in the middle of the throne room. “I mean, I’ve ended up in so many parallel dimension that I’m sure there's no one who has heard of me. I am the protag of protags, one-time amnesiac, and CPU of Planeptune, Neptune! Please hold your applause, they are unneeded, and I am hear to do whatever the plot called me here to do!” There was no response to what the girl, Neptune, had said. Celestia had known humans, having had the mirror to the human Equestria in her castle for many years, but something about this girl seemed different. She did her best to try and see if any of the human’s she had met had matched this girl, but she came up blank. “I’m sorry Neptune, but it seems that I have no idea of who you are,” Celestia responded. “Yeah, good one there, as if I haven’t heard that joke before,” Neptune replied, still proud and standing strong. That all quickly changed as no response came from the rest of the room, as the so-called ‘CPU’ quickly became shocked. “Wait, you can’t be serious. You’re telling me that you have no idea who I am? But I’ve been accidentally dropped into so many dimensions that I thought it was near impossible for no one to know me,” Neptune gasped as something came to her mind. “Wait, that can’t mean… did I end up in a western cartoon!” “Celestia?” Raven whispered to the princess, seeming worried about what was going on in front of her. “Just let it all register, Raven, then we’ll deal with everything else.” Celestia assured her aide. “But how is that possible? It should be impossible for me to end up in a realm like this unless,” The shock suddenly disappeared from Neptune’s face as something dawned on her. “Oh, you are very sneaky mister writer, thinking you could get away with this without me realizing it. Is this all because you screwed up big time on that Pokemon story you so adamantly thought up in a minute?” Celestia watched as Neptune pointed at no one, talking to the thin air. “Act like you don’t exist, but I see right through your ruse. You know, I was suppose to be going on a bug catching trip with my older self, but here I am. You must be really desperate if you have to someone as cool and awesome as me.” “Miss Neptune, who in the world are you talking to?” Celestia asked, not having the fourth wall breaking powers that Neptune had. “Can’t you tell that we were in the middle of court.” “Ooh, court!” Nep replied with enthusiasm. “What happened? Did someone steal a sweet roll? Was there a murder? Well I can tell you one thing miss horse lady, one thing that I am absolutely sure of,” Neptune than proceed to point at Celestia with confidence. “When in doubt, always blame the butler.” “Not that kind of court,” Celestia explained. “I am Princess Celestia of Equestria, and you are currently interrupting day court. Here I listen to my dear ponies needs and concerns about the welfare of my country.” “Oh, you are a ruler? Then you must be this dimensions CPU,” Neptune said, quickly scanning Celestia from top to bottom. “I must say, for a CPU you really do have that coolness factor about you.” Celestia, much to her surprise, felt a metaphorical knife suddenly pierce her heart at those words. She had no idea what a CPU was, but if it was a ruler of some kind like Neptune was saying, than that means she was just called uncool. Celestia felt that same knife turn the more she thought about it, as if all the sudden reality was crashing around her and a horrible truth, one that she couldn’t stop. She, Princess of Equestria, who thought for so long she had managed to keep up with times, was just called uncool by this new arrival. She had no idea exactly what that meant in the long run, but something about it hurt her in a way she didn’t even knew she could be. “I-I’m… uncool?” Celestia asked. “I mean, compared to me and all the other CPU’s you look so much more… bland, though maybe that’s because you currently aren’t HDD?” Neptune explained, though her words were lost on Celestia, who was just staring off into the distance. “I don’t really know much about this dimension, and it will probably take Histy around three days to find me anyways, so I can try and fix that later. I’m more interested in just exploring what this new dimension is anyways,” With that, Neptune made her way to the door. The throne room was once again silent, the guards being the only noise as the escorted the unconscious Blueblood to a guest room in the castle. Raven, looked to Celestia, who seemed frozen in fear about something she couldn’t understand. She had never seen the princess react in such a way to somepony insulting her, and had believed there was no way to cause this kind of reaction. Not only had this Neptune person just proved her wrong, but had done it within minutes of arriving from wherever she had been. “Your majesty, is everything alright?” Raven asked. “Raven, I think I’m going to go to bed early.” Celestia said, getting up from her seat. “Also, please send a message to Twilight, I think things are about to get crazy.” “But-” Before Raven could finished Celestia teleported away. “It’s only noon.” Author's Note So... I think it should be mentioned that this is something I wrote out of sheer boredom, though part of it was also because I had kinda failed with the original intent of a previous story of mine. The purpose of that story was to be something silly and cute, but it kinda went off the deep end quickly and I felt I needed to do something to keep that from happening again. Thus, why there really isn't a story outside of Nep and Co. chilling out in Equestria. The Neptunia series is one I've only gotten into in the past two years, partly due to Lost Pause, but my god did it's lighthearted nature and silly characters immediately touch my heart. So, with that said, it's time for Nep to nep her way into Equestria's heart. Also, don't worry about Celestia, I'm sure she will get over it. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Nepping Continues //-------------------------------------------------------// The Nepping Continues After Neptune left the throne room, and even more so the castle, she decided to try and explore the city she had ended up in. As she did she found that, just like in the castle, everyone here seemed to be a pony, though that was expected. The stares at what most ponies thought of as a mythical figure also was pretty expected. Neptune didn’t really care to much about that, her mind set on one thing and one thing alone. “Jeez, you think that at least one of these places would have pudding for sale,” Neptune said. She was starting to loss hope after the fourth store she visited. “I mean, I know humans must not be a common thing here but the least they could do is try and help me. Staring at people isn’t exactly nice. Man, I should have packed an emergency supply before this all happened.” At this point Neptune didn’t really care about sightseeing, she just wanted the one snack that she had always loved. It truly wasn’t much to ask for, just one small cup of delicious, gooey, chocolate or banana pudding. Heck, she would even take plain old vanilla at this point, which she usually only ever had if she was desperate or nothing else was around. Her constant calls for pudding was definitely the thing giving her the most glances. “You see mister writer, this is why you don’t just suddenly drop a someone into a fanfic without warning them first,” Neptune berated me. I decided to just ignore her. “I mean, what is a Nep suppose to do without her pudding? I might starve if I don’t get some soon, either that or I’ll… I’ll” She shook her head, standing strong with her head tilted towards the sky. “No. It will not come to that.” “Excuse me miss, is everything all right?” Neptune looked down in front of her to see a certain grey pegasus in front of her. Said mare also had a mail bag on her and a mail cap as well. “Oh, don’t mind me, just talking to the narrator,” Neptune explained. “You see, I’ve been looking for a someplace with pudding because I accidentally left all mine at home,” It was at this moment that Neptune noticed the lack of shock on the ponies face. “Actually, how come you are the only one who doesn’t seem to be in a state of error 404?” “I don’t know what that means, but if you are talking about the stares everypony else is giving you, it’s probably because I’ve seen much stranger things before,” The mail mare said. “Anyways, the names Derpy. I’m guessing you probably aren’t from around here.” “Derpy huh? That name is about as sad as Noire’s friend list,” Neptune stated. “Either way, I’m Neptune, the protag of protags, and tell me good citizen, do you know anywhere that I might find some pudding?” “Well I do, but if you need something right away, I got an extra muffin on me,” Derpy offered with a smile. “Derpy I want you to listen to me for a second,” Neptune said, bending down to talk eye to eye with the pony. “Eating pudding is part of my character, and I’m sure muffins are part of yours, but that’s the thing! If I was to suddenly start liking eggplants people would go into a riot, which is why I must find some before I starve to death due to a lack of gooey goodness.” “Bit of an over exaggeration their I think, but if you must, there is a place I know that sells the stuff if I remember correctly,” Derpy said, quickly trying to recall the location. “I’ve never had pudding before, but if you are that crazy for it, then it can’t be that bad. Just follow me.” “Okey dokey. Forward Ho!” Neptune shouted as she and Derpy started off. Before they got to far, Neptune quickly turned up to the sky. “Oh, and don’t worry all you Derpy fans out there, I’ll make sure to keep her from becoming obsessed with the stuff. I know how much she and her muffins means to you and I am a fan pleaser after all.” “Um… sis?” Uni looked to her sister, who was currently twitching furiously in her seat. “Are you feeling oka-” “Uni,” Noire replied, her fists quivering in way. “Don’t. Even. Ask.” After a good walk through Canterlot Derpy brought Neptune to a small dessert place downtown. As soon as Neptune saw pudding on the menu her eyes lit up, only to realize moments later that she didn’t have any money on her. Even then, they wouldn’t have been bits, which were the main currency in Equestria. Derpy was kind enough to pay for her, having completely forgotten about all the letters she was suppose to deliver. That didn’t matter currently because Derpy quickly realized that she and Neptune had more in common than just a love of sweets. “Ah, so you know mister writer too then, huh?” Neptune said happily. “Wow, that’s crazy. That story isn’t even finished yet and he is putting you in here with all memory of it?” “As long as I don’t say anything spoilery, he is fine with it,” Derpy said with a wink to the sky. “I mean, my experience was definitely a lot different from what yours is probably going to be, especially since everyone is alive and everything. In other words, I’m the only thing that story has to connect to this one. Also I have my normal name here while there I went by Ditzy.” “Well then, I guess mister writer must have some soul after all,” Neptune replied, taking another bite of her pudding. “Wow, this stuff really does put the licous in delicous… and now I immediately regret saying that because of how stupid it was.” “I’m glad that the pudding is to your liking Neptune,” Derpy said. “I’ve never seen anyone else eat something with so much… gusto, I guess you can say,” Derpy tapped her hoof as she realized something. “You know, the way you so casually break the fourth wall, it kinda reminds me of a pony I know back in Ponyville.” “Well Derpy, despite your cruel name, you remind me much of a friend back in Gamindustry as well,” Neptune replied with a warm smile. “She was the one who introduced me to pudding you know, and she is super kind and friendly. The only difference is probably the fact you don’t have to deal with a love-struck mouse following you everywhere.” Derpy couldn’t help but giggle slightly at that. “Wow, sounds rough. Either way, it’s nice to know that you have friends that you can rely on. I know how important that is.” “Sounds like it with the situation you were put into. Sounds pretty scary,” Neptune said as she finished her cup of pudding up. “Wow, no matter who makes it, you really can’t mess up pudding. Compa still makes the best pudding though, no dimension I go to will ever change that.” “Oh shoot, I completely forgot!” Derpy shouted with a hoof to the forehead. “I have some letters I still need to deliver to the area,” getting of her chair Derpy looked to Neptune with a smile. “I’ll catch up with you later Neptune, the duty of a mail mare never ends.” “Don’t sweat it. I’m sure you’ll be back in a few chapters or so anyways,” Neptune replied as Derpy headed into the air. The CPU waved as her new friend went into the air, feeling even more chipper than before. “Now then, what to do. Given Histy’s rule of three it will probably take her till next chapter to get ahold of me, so I might as well head back to the castle and apologize to whatever her name was about rushing off.” With her destination decided, Neptune retraced her and Derpy’s steps, hoping that she remembered where she was going. She could have just looked into the distance to the gigantic castle that toppled the city, but that wasn’t how Nep did things. The more lost she became, the more fun it was to become found after all. Meanwhile, back at Canterlot Castle, Celestia was rushing down the hall to her sister’s room. She had done everything she could think of to try and take even an ounce of sleep, but Neptune’s words had refused to leave. She was the princess of the Equestria, one able to move the sun, and had given her country the greatest defenders it had ever known, but a single glance from a human and they had called her uncool. That dagger that had struck her heart refused to leave, and while she waited for Twilight and her friends to arrive from the letter Raven sent, only one pony could possibly help her. “LUNA!” Celestia said, swinging open the door to her sister’s room. “Luna, I need to ask you something, am I-” Celestia’s train of thought as she saw her sister, who was currently sitting in a corner of her room with a mug filled with coffee. Her mane still had major bedhead, and her muzzle was in what seemed to be a permanent frown. This was something Celestia was used to seeing, but that was usually in the morning. It had to be around one in the afternoon now, and Luna still didn’t seem like she was in the mood to wake up. “Luna… is everything alright?” Celestia asked. “Just trying to wake up,” Luna responded, taking a sip of her coffee afterwards. “But it’s… nevermind,” Celestia said, shaking her head. “Listen Luna, I have a very important question that I need to ask of you.” “This wouldn’t have anything to do with the human that had walked by my room earlier today, would it?” Luna asked. Her question surprised Celestia, mostly because the route to her sister’s room was nowhere near the castle’s entrance. “She was chanting some strange encantation. If I remember correctly it went something along the lines of ‘nepu nepu nepu, nepu nepu nepu’. Do you know what that means.” “Not a clue,” Celestia shook her head, glad that she wasn’t the only one that wasn’t perplexed by the strange girl. “Her name is Neptune, at least from what she told me, and well… Luna, am I uncool?” The previously half-awake alicorn suddenly found herself unable to contain the coffee that was currently in her muzzle. Attempting to hide it, she turned away, doing all she could to get it all down before she wasn’t able to hold back her laughter. She half succeeded, able to get most of her drink down before the rest started coming out her nostrels and mouth, laughter quickly filling the room as it did. Celestia just stood there, unable to make sense of her current behavior. “Oh, hehe, oh my sister,” Luna managed to say through her laughter and tears. “I… I never thought that, hehehe, that you would, ahahahahahahaha!” Celestia could only roll her eyes at the alicorn currently rolling on the floor in laughter. “Luna, please, just give me an answer,” Celestia pleaded. “I’m princess of Equestria, and I have been for more than a thousand years. I have done all I can to stay with the times but now I’m not so sure I’ve been able to,” Luna had stopped laughing at this point, but was holding a smug smile as her sister confessed how she felt. “I thought that would make me cool but now I’m not so sure. Please, Luna, please tell me you think I’m cool.” “Celestia, do you want to know how long I have been waiting for you to say something like that?” Luna asked. “I didn’t think it would take an other worldly visitor to do such a thing, but now that you know it’s not a secret to hide from you,” She proceeded to put a hoof on her sister’s shoulders, that smile only seeming to grow with time. “Celestia, I know it’s not what you want to here, but from my experience with Twilight’s friend Rainbow Dash, I can safely say that you are not cool,” Luna blinked as she finished, just now noticing how stone like her sister’s surprise has become. “Sister?” With a poke, Celestia fell over, having fainted from the surprise and gravity of the situation. Author's Note Hey everyone, this is Neptune, and welcome to Nepstation! Since Vaati doesn’t want to do the boring old author’s note for every chapter, he let me and all the other characters you meet take over for this section of the chapter. See, we are even color coded to make things easier! Now, I’m sure many of you picked up this story not knowing who the hey I am or what ‘Megadimension Neptunia’ is, but don’t worry about that. That basically just means that any characters who appeared up to VII (oh, that means victory 2 by the way, not seven. I’m not really sure what Idea Factory was thinking there) will be here. I’ll try my best to introduce them all to you, since this is the first experience most of you have had. Anyways, time for the preview. Histy makes a call, Celestia evaluates her life choices, and the number three. Next Chapter: Phone a Nep! See you all then! //-------------------------------------------------------// Phone a Nep //-------------------------------------------------------// Phone a Nep Just as Neptune had expect, she had somehow managed to get lost in Canterlot. Even with the ability to look at the castle, all the twisting roads that made up the city had managed to confuse her for a good chunk of time. After some help from the local guard, who were to busy acting like statues to be shocked at a human being in Equestria, Neptune finally made her way back to the castle. All of this happening with a smile on her face, and a stomach filled with pudding. “So, guess I should probably go find that Celestia lady and get a room or something,” Neptune explained as she made her way through the castle. “Now, if I was to guess from the ending of last chapter, than I’m pretty sure that finding one of there rooms would probably be the best way to go,” Neptune closed her eyes as she tried to think back to her initial trip out of the castle. “I definitely remember going past someone’s bedroom on the way out. Guess I just got to follow my protagonist instincts and go where it points me.” Despite her confidence in those instincts, Neptune ended up finding herself in a very similar situation as she made her way around the castle. Every hallway seemed to look the same, with tons of doors leading to guess bedrooms and other things that proved to be wrong guesses. She remembered getting lost the first time she was in her own basilicom back in Gamindustry, but despite its size it was still far easier to tell where you were there compared to the castle. By about the thirtieth bedroom, Neptune had more than lost track of where she was going and was just walking around aimlessly. “Ooh, when I find out who was responsible for building this place, I’m going to personally track them down and give them a piece of my nepping mind!” Neptune announced to the empty hallway. “And don’t think you can escape me if you are already dead! I will still find you!” “My my, so you are the one who caused Celestia so much distress,” A voiced said. Neptune looked around, but the hallway was still empty. “I absolutely must give my congratulations to you, I’ve never seen her break down like that before.” “Hey, invisible floating voice, why don’t you show yourself!” Neptune said. “I might not have any shares, but my role as protagonist demands you to bring yourself before me.” “Aw, and now you are trying to act all serious,” As asked, the form of a familiar, yet strange individual suddenly materialized in front of Neptune. Each of his hands, feet, and horns were from different animals, giving of the feeling of a seven year olds doodling attempts “A pleasure to make your acquaintance, I’m Discord, spirit of chaos and disharmony. I’m assuming you are the odd figure that everyone has been talking about in Canterlot?” “Maybe. Nice to meet you though Discord, and might I say you are truly,” Neptune looked Discord up and down as she thought about the right words to use. “... you know I thought I had some clever remark but I really have nothing.” “Don’t worry, I’ve been told I’m a rather hard individual to pin down,” Discord replied. “Now, I don’t have to long to talk before my afternoon tea but I just wanted to thank you for doing the one thing I’ve been try to do for years.” “Oh really now? Well shucks, I don’t know what I did but I’ll take the compliment,” Neptune said with a smile. That smile quickly turn to confusion as she thought about what he had just said. “Wait, what did I do?” “Why, you managed to break Celestia’s demeanor,” Discord explained, pulling a chair from nowhere for himself to sit in. “It is so easy to get to most ponies when it comes to chaos, but Celestia truly is what you would call a party pooper. So when you called her uncool and she just broke,” Discord let out a laugh befitting of his status as a reformed villain. “Oh the joy that brought to my heart.” “Oh, that was no problem at all,” Neptune replied, acting as if she had known all along. “When Neptune is around, the truth will come out. I’m glad I could help out a citizen in there time of need.” “I would love to stay and chat with you more, but as I mention I have tea with Fluttershy to attend,” Discord stated, snapping his fingers and whisking the chair he summoned out of existence. “I’m sure our paths will cross again.” With the Discord disappeared leaving Neptune once again alone in the halls of Canterlot Castle. “Well, for a guy with a title like ‘spirit of chaos and disharmony’ he really doesn’t seem to bad,” Neptune said as she once again started walking down the hallway. “Must be one of those reformed villain types.” “Neptune! Neptune!” Another voice called from the air, but unlike the previous one, Neptune actually recognized it. “Please come in Neptune! I know you’re there.” “Well what do you know, hey there Histy,” Neptune greeted the voice. She once again looked upwards, though this time she was met with ceiling instead of blue sky. “Oh, for those of you unfamiliar with my friends, Histy is my nickname for Histoire, the oracle of Planeptune. She is this tiny little fairy of sits on this book and bosses people around. That, and if you ever ask her to do anything, it will probably take her about three of something to do it.” “Thank goodness I got through to you Neptune, I was starting to worry,” Histoire said, letting out a sigh of relief. “We all got really worried when you suddenly disappeared. You weren’t supposed to leave for your trip until tomorrow. Where are you right now?” “I don’t know what dimension or planet I ended up in, but it seems that the locals call this place Equestria or something like that,” Neptune replied. “Actually, how did managed to talk right to me? I mean, I expected you during the third chapter and all, but usually you need tiny you or something else to speak.” “Equestria? Well that would explain why contacting you is so easy,” Histoire said, though it mostly seemed to herself. “I’ve never been there, but I’ve heard of this Equestria before. Apparently it’s suppose to be a peaceful land where the power of friendship and magic is valued above all else. Though it is also not as advance as Gamindustry and doesn’t have any CPUs.” “Friendship huh? Better make sure Noire does go emo here than,” Neptune muttered. “Thanks Histy, you really are the best sometimes. So, when will you be able to get a portal up Histy? I’m sure that would be no sweat if you can just talk to my so easily from here.” “I should be able to make a portal there with little effort due to how strong equestrian magic is,” Histoire replied, her voice hinting excitement. “Actually Neptune, this might be sudden, but I was wondering if we might join you over there.” “Wait, you want to come over here?” Neptune asked, shocked. “You hear that folks? Histy, who is always trying to get me to work, wants to come here. Is this something that mister writer thought up to keep me here, or- actually, I think we all know what it is.” “Now now Neptune, don’t be like that,” Histoire said. “You’ve clearly already made contact with its citizens, so it’s no use just pulling you out. Since we have already made contact, it would be good to set up connections between us. I’m sure there are things that both of our dimensions could benefit from an alliance with.” “Oh really?” Neptune smiled as she heard this, her mind only picturing it as a long overdue vacation from her CPU duties. “And when you said we, I assume you mean...” “Yep, I’ll be inviting all the other CPU’s too. Everyone was really worried when you disappeared after all,” Histoire said. “Give us a few hours and we’ll be over.” “Alright, see you then Histy,” Neptune said. She waited for a few seconds to see if Histoire had anything else to say, but when she didn’t receive a reply she continued. “Alright, guess I should tell that Celestia lady what’s going to happen. Don’t want her freaking out when more people appear in her throne room.” Little did Neptune remember that Celestia was already freaking out about something else. “What do you mean, Luna?” Celestia asked, having recovered from her faint earlier and was now holding a glass of water. “What do you mean that you’ve been waiting to hear this? Do you realize what this means? I’ve spent all these years trying to keep up with times and now-” “Sister, just listen,” Luna said, putting her hoof to Celestia’s muzzle. “You do realize that by keeping up with the times and trying to stay with them, it doesn’t make you cool, right? Rainbow Dash told me that a ponies ‘cool factor’ comes from what makes them unique. Have you noticed how I sometimes go back and forth between old and modern equish?” Celestia nodded. “I figured that was just you slipping up.” “I do it to stick out,” Luna explained. “You aren’t cool by doing what anypony else does, you are cool because of something unique to you. Clearly this Neptune character knows what I mean, because you, my dear sister, are nothing but average.” “Average?” Celestia repeated her sisters words, thinking over what she had just been told. If Luna was right, than Celestia had been misunderstand the ideas of cool for over one thousand years. “No, this will not stand! I must be an example to my ponies, and somepony simply average is no rolemodel! I must become cool! I must-” “Ah, there you are,” Celestia froze up as she heard that voice, turning around to see Neptune standing at the doorway. “Hello sorry I just ran off on you earlier, I was really hungry and wanted to see the city.” “Thou must be Neptune, right?” Luna said, Celestia noticing a slight change in how her sister spoke. “We are Luna, princess of the night and sister to Celestia. It is great to make your acquaintance.” “Finally, someone who already knows who I am,” Neptune said with a sigh. “Please to meet you Luna, and might I say you have a really cool way of talking.” That one sentence was all it took to once again plunge that same metaphorical knife that Celestia had felt before right back into her heart. All Luna had to do was talk like she did years ago, and she was immediately complimented. It was that moment Celestia truly realized how much she had fallen from the cool category over the years. “Celestia, thou must truly see the look on thy face,” Luna said, stifling a giggle. “It is the epitome of silly.” “Lulu, please stop,” Celestia said, holding her head in her hooves. “Anyways, I just found out from my dimension that a few friends might be spending some time here,” Neptune explained. Those words quickly sent a shiver up Celestia’s back. “I’m sorry to suddenly bring this upon you, but it’s what the plot demands.” “No need to worry, we are more the okay with thou inviting friends over,” Luna assured Neptune. “I’ll make sure that the required number of rooms are prepared.” “Aw, that’s so sweet of you. I’m sure we’re gonna have plenty of good times,” Neptune replied with a smile. “Anyways, now to try and fine the kitchen. I think it’s time for some more pudding.” With that, Neptune left them, one mare ecstatic for the events to come, the other cowering in fear. If Neptune alone was able to attack her so easily, Celestia could only imagine how bad her friends could be. When this was over, she couldn’t imagine who she would be able to sleep, or manage day court, or do just about anything! With what working brain matter she had, she thought of what Neptune’s friends must be like, and how much better they were than her. “Iffy? Histy? Someone? Help me!” Compa pleaded as she walked around the basilicom, her eyes closed. “It’s so dark and scary, please help me!” IF and Histoire simply looked at each other in silence about the events taking place in front of them. “Is it your turn to fix this or mine?” IF asked. “Honestly,” Histoire said with a sigh. “I lost count after the thirty third time today.” Author's Note Hello again, this is Neptune here for another round of Nepstation! I’ll be honest, I don’t really know what to say today, but Vaati really wanted to say thanks for the support you all have been showing. I know there is only a little more than two hundred and ten views, but I’m pretty sure this is his first story to do that in three days. In other words, go you, and I’m glad to see that even those unfamiliar with me seem to be enjoying this series. Now for the chapter preview: My friends arrive in Equestria, and Equestria’s brave protectors show themselves. Will Celestia survive the encounter? Next chapter: Nep Intensifies, so you all then. //-------------------------------------------------------// Nep Intensifies //-------------------------------------------------------// Nep Intensifies Three hours later Neptune was standing in the throne room with Celestia and Luna behind her. According to the princesses, they were actually also expect some special guests and longtime friends to visit, so this room would be the best place for everything to go down. As Celestia personally await the words about to be thrown at her by the new arrivals, Neptune counted down the amount of time till Histoire would open the portal. Luna, on the other hoof, was enjoying her coffee once more, clearly not caring about her sister’s woes next to her. After a good five minutes or so, the doors to the throne room opened, revealing six mares standing outside of it. Among them was one unicorn, two earth ponies, two pegasi, and an alicorn, all standing proud as they entered the room. These were the former bearers of the elements of harmony, known for stopping the greatest threats that have ever touched the shores of Equestria. Sadly, the only one who actually noticed them enter seemed to be Luna. “Aha! Twilight and her friends have arrived!” She shouted loudly, gain the attention of both Neptune and Celestia. “It is great to see you again, young Twilight.” “It great to see you too, Luna,” Twilight said, returning the smile. It was then that she caught a glimpse at Celestia, and the uneasy in her eyes. “Sorry it took me so long. You know how hard it can be to put everything together this quickly.” “Especially while my family is visiting,” Applejack added, seeming to be the only one of the six not exactly happy to be present. “Was it really necessary to bring all of us over here?” “Oh, um, I guess not,” Celestia said, coming to realize that leaving the letter’s content exclusively to Raven might not have been the best situation. She did tend to exaggerate things a good amount. Nonetheless, the face of her former student was the first thing since Neptune arrived to make her smile. “I’m sorry, but know that I am happy that you are here all the same.” “I may have a shop to run but nothing is going to change in the next hour or so,” Rarity explained. “Besides, I’m the only one here who really doesn’t usually have the flexibility in my schedule. I’m sure that no matter what happened Pinkie would have at least come.” “Well duh. How else am I going to plan a surprise party for our other worldly guest. This will be my first time throwing a party for humans,” Pinkie said, bouncing around the room without a care in the world. It was then Pinkie noticed Neptune, pointing a hoof excitedly at the CPU. “Oh, is that her right there.” “Well of course it is, what other protag would just drop out of the sky from nowhere?” Neptune asked. “Now, I’m sure everyone wants to introduce themselves, with this being that kind of chapter and all, but we really should what for my friends to arrive.” “Wait, I thought it was just one human who got dropped in here,” Twilight said, recounting the letter that had been sent to her. “Did something happen between then and now, Celestia?” “Unfortunately yes,” Celestia replied. She was not prepared for the conversation to take her right back to her worries, but she did her best to push them aside at the moment. “You see, not too long ago Neptune told us that her some friends from her dimension would be visiting.” “Oh,” Twilight said, surprised at this. “I figured that she was stuck here or something, or at least that’s what… you didn’t write the letter did you.” Celestia shook her head in reply, prompting a facehoof from her former student. She now really regretted leaving the letter exclusively to Raven, as it seems a lot had been left out. “We’re ready over here, Neptune,” Histoire said. Neptune only nodded while everyone else looked around in confusement, having no idea where the voice had come from. “You got it Histy,” Neptune replied before turning to the rest of the room. “Alright everyone, prepare yourselves, because we are about to have some guests!” “W-what?!” Fluttershy shouted (or at least did her version of shouting). “I-I thought it was only going to be one person.” Before Fluttershy could receive an answer, a light blue portal suddenly popped into existence, causing the pegasus to run for cover. Everyone watched as multiple figures exited the portal, initially appearing as outlines before fully materializing. Where one human use to stand now stood seven more, and a small fairy on a book. Celestia was sweating bullets as she saw this, knowing that she had to quickly come up with some way to make a good first impression. “Hey Neppy,” Said a small girl wearing slippers and a pink and teal dress. She was holding a plushy in her right hand, which seemed to bear an uncomfortable resemblance to Neptune. She sounded like she might still be half asleep. “Plutia!” Neptune shouted in surprise. “Now this is a surprise. I haven’t seen you in ages… or like two to three years if you are going be game releases.” “Don’t be like that Neppy,” Plutia responded. “Sometimes it gets so boring around without you, and then I get a little angry because I’m bored, but now that I’m here with you I feel so happy. I’m so happy to see you alive.” “Come on Plutia, you aren’t the only one here who was worried,” Another girl, this one being a red-haired girl wearing what could best be described as a school uniform. “Hey there Nepsy, how are you doing? I know Plutia already said it, but I’m really glad your okay.” “Aw, stop it,” Neptune replied. “You guys are embarrassing me.” “I assume these are your friends Neptune?” Luna asked. “It is a pleasure to meet you all, I am Princess Luna, and this is my sister Cele… Celestia?” Luna looked around the room for her sister, quickly finding that she had disappeared. Twilight had noticed long before the others have, remembering her former mentor running of in fear as soon as the figures exited the portals. Twilight couldn’t believe what she had seen, believing that Celestia was perfectly okay with everything going on. Luna held in the urge to facehoof at this, having never seen her sister act in such a way before. “Is something wrong Princess Luna,” Said a girl with brown hair and a white fur coat. “It seems that my sister has done what the youth refers to as ‘being a chicken’,” Luna said. Her disapproval quickly turned to giggles as she thought about what she just said. “My sister, being a chicken, who would have known.” “Wow, that’s rude,” Said a black haired girl with pigtails. “Yeah, she didn’t act anything like this when I arrived,” Neptune added with a nod of her head. “Well, I guess that just goes to show how uncool she is.” In the halls of Canterlot Castle, Celestia suddenly trips, another metaphorical dagger piercing her through a wall. “Well, I guess we might as well start introductions since my sister won’t be showing up,” Luna said after all of Neptune’s friends checked on her. “Neptune, since you are the guest of honor, how about you and your friends introduce themselves first.” “Alrighty, I’ll go first, though at this point introducing myself is getting kinda redundant,” Neptune said with a smile. She stood with her hands on her hips as she introduced herself. “Anyways, the name is Neptune, the CPU of Planeptune and main protagonist of the series.” “A… CPU?” Twilight and all of her friends tilted there head near simultaneously in confusion. “Think of them as rulers with the ability to change forms depending on how many people trust in them,” Another girl with brown hair and an oversized blue hoodie said. “Some of them are better at their jobs than others though.” “Iffy, don’t go ratting me out already,” Neptune said. “Besides, I do work, I just never do it when people actually see me.” “Right,” The girl replied. “Well, might as well introduce myself next. The name is IF. Think of me as a gust of wind blowing through gamindustri.” “The most stationary wind that I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure,” Neptune commented. “Well, no matter what kind of wind I am, I’m still one of Neptune’s oldest friends,” IF replied, doing her best to not try and hook her friend. “I’m also a member of the guild, which is responsible dealing with monsters and other such things threatening our cities.” “So your, like, an adventurer?” Rainbow said, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “I guess you can call me that,” IF replied. “Oh my gosh,” Rainbow squealed, dozens of different possibilities going through her head. “An otherworldly adventure. You must have tons of cool stories, mind if I hear about some of them?” “Um, sure, if you don’t mind waiting till after introductions,” IF said smiling. Rainbow started literally bouncing off the walls in excitement at this. “Well, since I’ve known Nep-Nep for almost as long, who about I-” The girl speaking, one with blond hair and a fleece sweater, closed her eyes as she spoke. What was a normal thing to do for most people quickly turned into panic when she started shivering. “N-n-nep-Nep? Iffy? Where are you guys? It’s so scary and ark in here!” “Um… is she gonna be okay?” Applejack asked, watching at the girl with a raised eyebrow. “Yeah, Compa is like that sometimes,” Neptune explained. “Compa’s a nurse, though she would probably also tell you that she failed school in that area. Even then I would say her healing skills are top notch, which is pretty important for being the white mage and everything.” “Yes, I’m sure she’s… great,” Rarity said. “Listen, as much as I would just love to stand around and do introductions for an hour some of us have business to take care of. You know, like work and the spa.” “What? But we haven’t even reached two thousand words yet. Mister writer doesn’t like writing such short chapters,” Neptune complained. “I don’t know who this ‘mister writer’ is and I frankly don’t care,” The black haired girl replied before turning to Rarity. “Wait, did you mention a spa!” “Oh yes,” Rarity nodded her head. “A mare needs to relax after all, and when you spend your time making dresses, teaching students, fighting bad guys and-” Rarity stopped herself as she quickly thought over what she just said. “You know, now that I say that, I suddenly have found myself thinking about my life in ways I… haven’t yes imagined.” “Trust me, if you are only having that thought now, than you’ve lived a pretty good life up to this point,” The black hair girl said, taking a quick glance at Neptune. “Names Noire by the way. Would you be okay if I went to the spa with you? It would be nice to experience this Equestria place and it’s people first hand.” “Why of course darling,” Rarity waved a hoof dismissively as she spoke. “Let's head out now. Don’t want Aloe or Lotus to wait to long.” “Wait, you two are just heading out?” Neptune asked in fear. “But we are nowhere close to being done with intro-” “Neptune, I’ll put this as bluntly as possible so that you understand,” Said the girl with the fur coat. “Some of us here prefer not to waste our time more than you do. Now, if you don’t mind, I would love to gather some information for a possible book I’m already planning up.” “In that case, how about I show you to the royal library?” Twilight asked. “I’m sure you’ll find what you need there.” “Wait, this isn’t what is suppose to happen,” Neptune said as nearly everyone in the room grouped up and left. “Oh no no no no, this is not good. My perfectly laid plans to introduce everyone have been ruined. I was going to set them up with different people or something like that because of shipping but now that is not going to happen. Oooooh, what the heck am I going to do now?” “Don’t worry Neppy,” Plutia replied, her voice causing Neptune’s body to freeze up almost instantly. “I’m still here with you. What do you say we go take a bath together Neppy? It’s been so long since we were last able to.” “And suddenly,” Neptune mumbled to the readers. “I completely understand why everyone left.” And so, with no other choice really available to her, Neptune stiffly walked with Plutia to where she hoped a tub would be, and hoped she survived.
