Hey, I know You!

Frisk Pov:
We entered the city, which was confirmed to be the city I had thought it was when we passed a big billboard said "Welcome To Equestria City!"
We were huddled together, waiting for somebody to come at us and attack. Sure enough we heard screams tear through the town and shouts of "Monsters!"
Chara's grip on my hand tightened to reassure me and theirself that everything was going to be alright. A lot of people with varying actions and reactions then came out and confronted us. The most obvious were the camera crews and policemen. There were some citizens that had taken arms themselves out here, too.
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" The Sheriff shouted through a megaphone. There were multiple police cars and police officers armed with guns in case we tried anything dangerous. The policemen had gotten most of the citizens with guns to either go back to their homes or join in their barricade.
"Mr. Sheriff! Sir, please wait! They aren't here to hurt anybody!" I shouted to the Sheriff, hoping to get him to calm down. He seemed to finally notice me and gave me a questioning look.
"How do you know this, kid?" He questioned. He didn't scream this or demand this with a scared or threatening tone, which was good. He wasn't freaking out about this and seemed to be trying his best to take it into stride.
"They're very nice people! They have helped me out a lot! They were unfairly forced into an underground cavern and trapped there for a very long time. Despite all this, they don't seek revenge, they just want to live on the surface in peace." I explained. Chara nodding along with me. Mom stepped in front of us and took a careful posture, to show that she wasn't going to attack.
"My child speaks the truth, our kind comes in peace, officer." Mom said. The Sheriff stood still for a few minutes, processing this information before he came out from behind his car and walked over to us, much to the charge in of the rest of the people there. Nobody moved to stop him or moved to attack us yet, so that was a good sign, I hope. The Sheriff stopped right in front of us and looked up to Mom. Mom was very tall, standing at around eight feet and four inches, so most humans would have to crane their necks to look at her eyes. The Sheriff was by no means short, however, he was a little over six feet from what I could guess.
"May I ask your name, miss?" The Sheriff asked.
"My name is Toriel." Mom answered. The Sheriff nodded.
"John." He said simply.
"Well, Miss Toriel, I can tell that you're speaking the truth, you have a tone to your voie that suggests you are a very kind and honest person." John said before he looked over the rest of our group.
"Does what Miss Toriel say go for all of you? Do you all wish to live on the surface in peace?" John asked everybody.
"YES, HUMAN JOHN! WE ARE A VERY NICE GROUP OF MONSTERS I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW!" Papyrus spoke. His words pretty much summing up everyone's thoughts.
"Sheriff John! Get back here before they eat your soul!" One John's subordinates shouted.
"Be quiet, Kyle! They don't mean no harm and they certainly aren't going to eat my soul!" He shouted back. It seemed that no one else shared Sheriff John's thoughts on the whole situation, meaning he was the only human who would be helpful to us in any way. Everybody else were just too skeptical and scared of the Monsters. Asgore began talking with John in hopes to come to some kind of agreement seeing as they were both leaders to some degree.
"Mr, Asgore, while I do appreciate the compliment, a Sheriff is hardly the same as a King." John said sheepishly. As they continued their conversation, Chara inched closer to me. They were still holding Flowey. Both of them seemed to wear the same concerned expression on both of their respective faces.
"Frisk, do you think we'll be able to do this? Do you think we can make it here or are humans still the same?" Chara asked, their voice getting a little bitter when they started to think back to when they had first came to The Underground. I gripped their hand once again and hugged them and Flowey.
"I'm sorry. I would really like to say that humans have changed from when you had met them, yet I don't believe I could honestly say that they had changed. At least not much and those that did are very far and few between. We lucked out with Sheriff John being an understanding individual." I said honestly.
"You can always load, right? Can you still do that?" Chara asked me with worry evident in their tone. I closed my eyes and felt for the familiar feeling of the saving and loading. There it is.
"Yes, I can." I informed them. My answer seemed to calm both them and Flowey down quite a bit. Undyne was conversating with Sans, they both seemed to have serious expressions on their faces. Most likely talking about what to do if the humans attacked. Mom and Asgore were both working together to talk to Sheriff John about stuff regarding Monsters and Humans. (Mom was reluctantly working with Asgore.) Mettaton had caught up with us before we had entered the city and was talking with Alphys. Flowey then waved his leaves around to get my attention.
"Frisk, do you know about RESETTING?" He whisper asked me.
"I've seen the button, yes, but I haven't used it or even tried to." I told him.
"I can tell you haven't used it yet. Just keep it ready in case of extreme emergencies." Flowey said seriously, Chara reluctantly agreed with Flowey.
"Only use it as a last resort, however." Chara said firmly. I nodded in agreement. I could guess what RESETTING would probably do and I don't want to have to use that button ever. Everyone present got really tense all of a sudden when we heard the squealing of tires on road as a car approached us from behind, they were successfully evading the police barricade by circling around the city and coming from behind us like this. Undyne got into a defensive stance and summoned a spear. Papyrus jumped in front of Chara and I protectively. Sans's eyelights went out and Mom looked shocked. The car screeched to halt beside us a couple meters to our right. The drive door opened fast and a familiar color of hair flew out of the car. My eyes widened and my mouth dropped a little in shock. I said the only thing that I could in that moment
"Hey, I know you!" I shouted as I pointed at the girl who had helped me out two years ago. I was in disbelief that she was there. Her eyes had found me when I exclaimed that I knew her and she dashed towards me.
"Frisk Is everything alright? Do you need any help?" She questioned once she got over to me and everyone else. I was still in shock that she had remembered me and even remembered my name.
"Uhhh." I stammered. Chara looked down at me and stood in front of me protectively.
"Hello lady! My name is Chara and I am Frisk's older sibling! Can I help you?" They said, trying to get the attention off of me as they could tell I was starting to grow uncomfortable. The lady that had helped looked a little sheepish as she seemed to have just realized something.
"I guess this is the perfect time to introduce myself, seeing as I'm pretty sure I never gave you my name two years ago." She laughed sheepishly.
"My name is Sunset Shimmer. It's nice to meet you, Frisk and Chara." She smiled. Sheriff John walked up to us and he seemed to recognize Sunset.
"Miss Shimmer, pardon me for interrupting, but this is the kid you had made Missing Persons Posters for?" He asked, taking a better look at me.
"She does fit the bill." He said, causing me to squirm uncomfortably.
"They." Chara and Sunset said at the same time with the same dangerous tone in their voices.
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by that." Sheriff John answered nervously.
"Frisk prefers to go with non-binary terms as it's what they're most comfortable with. Don't refer to them as male or female." Chara warned. Sunset nodded with them.
"I am the same way." They continued.
"Well then I apologize for that, Frisk." Sheriff John apologized. The next few hours were spent getting everything sorted out with Monsters and Humans and my Missing Person Poster situation. I was very surprised that Sunset went that far to try and find me. I guess not that many people cared or tried there hardest to look for me aside from Sunset as the posters were all made before I fell into The Underground. I had been wondering around for another year or so after I had met Sunset before I found that I had ended up going in a huge circle and ended up on the other side of Mount Ebott which had another city, Ebott City. The mountain had Two cities to the north and south of it. The north was Ebott City and the south was Equestria City. Sunset had wanted me to stay with her for the time being, but I refused if it meant I wouldn't be able to stay with my family. When I said that she had looked confused before Mom had conveniently came in at that time and took my hand saying that they had found a place for all of us to camp out at for the time being. Sunset and her friends who I had met a little earlier in the day said goodbye and to call on them if we ever needed their help.
There was a rather big log cabin out in the woods near the base of the mountain we were instructed to stay at for the time being. Sans and Papyrus spruced it up with magic to make it feel more homelier. It was getting late so we I headed to my room that I shared with Chara and Flowey and went to bed. Chara had already turned in for the night so I took the bed that wasn't taken by them.
Sans Pov:
I was actually impressed with how big this lodge was when we found it. Some of us still have to split rooms, however, like the kiddos. I had my own room as did Paps and Tori. Undyne and Alphys had shared a room, too. Everyone else had their own room. I been sitting at my new desk for the past few hours, I couldn't get to sleep. Everyone else was in the house and I didn't feel like going downstairs to make something to eat. As there wasn't anything there at the moment. I was reading a comic book a had found in my room. When I found out that it was actually a Manga I was very excited to read it. What? Did you think the doc was the only Anime nerd in The Underground? I got news for ya buddy. You're old pal Sans is a definite Anime fan. I had only just now looked at the front cover and found that it was a collection of the entire first part of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. Needless to say, I scored with this one. I was just finishing the end of the book when I heard coming towards my room. I closed the Manga and turned my swivel chair that I had taken a shortcut to retrieve from The Underground towards the door. It opened to reveal a sight I was not expecting. I was expecting to see one of the kiddos or Tori, not Undyne.
"heya 'dyne. howzit hangin'." I greeted with a small wave.
"Sans, we need to talk." She said seriously, uncertainty and wariness emanating from her lone eye.
"uh, okay? what about?" I asked a little confused.
"Does all this seem familiar to you?" She asked. My entire body went rigid and my eyelights went out when she asked that. Oh...fuck.
"How so?" I asked seriously, looking her in the eye.
"I feel like I've met Frisk before and that we've been to the surface a few times. The whole fucking time Frisk was in The Underground, I've been having this strange sense of Déjà Vu. The sensation was there all the way until we got to the city, where things played out a little differently then what I was at that point expecting them to."
"That's because this time, we came out of The Underground on the other side of Mount Ebott." I told her.
"This...time?" She questioned.
"The things that feel familiar to you, and the things that you 'remember' all actually happened." I continued. I looked up at her to see her reaction and could see that she was waiting for me to explain further.
"The kid's journey through The Underground happened a lot of times. A LOT of times. Like possibly thousands of times." I continued.
"Their whole journey was Reset by them multiple times and they kept doing it over and over. There were times where people remembered a little of what happened, and there were times where everyone's memories seemed to be completely void of the previous 'run' the kid had done. I, on the other hand, remember everything vividly." I told her she looked like she had more questions now, but waited for me to continue, so that's what I did.
"You specifically, Undyne, always seemed to be aware somewhat of what had happened in the previous 'run' the kid had made. Even if it was only like a slight sense of a more vivid than usual Deja Vu." I informed her, which seemed to appease her a little.
"Before we continue this, let me ask you a question, Undyne." I said.
"Alright, go ahead."
"Do you remember anything specifically?" I asked.
"There were sometimes where I felt like I needed to kill the kid like everything depended on it." She told me.
"I was afraid of that." I sighed.
"There were times where the kid seemed like they were a completely different person. The runs where they killed everyone in The Underground. The Genocide Run." I said icily. Undyne looked like she desperately wanted to scream. I wanted as little people as possible to be aware of this, so I grabbed her arm and took her through a shortcut to my room in my house back at Snowdin. She took a deep breath to avoid screaming iat what I would assume would be the sheer shock and insanity of the whole situation.
"S-So that's why." Undyne said softly.
"There's something that's been bothering me, however." I said.
"And what would that be, Sans?!" She asked, trying to play it off, but freaking out at the fact that something was actually bothering me.
"The kid is in control of all of this and thus always remembers the previous run. This time, however, they have no idea about the Resets or the other runs. To them, this is the first time they had fallen to The Underground." I informed her. Undyne seemed to have calmed down at that revelation.
"This is answered a lot of questions I had." Undyne said gratefully.
"Is it weird that I feel protective of Frisk and Chara now?" She asked.
"If it is, then I am weird too." I grinned at her.
"We shouldn't talk about this to anyone. No one else seems to remember anything at all aside from you and me." I told her. (and flowey, but even he doesn't remember the previous run.)
"I suppose, but what do we do if they start to remember?" Undyne asked me.
"Deal with it then." I said simply.
Author's Note
I want to get into the meat and potatoes of this story soon. The monsters will go into Equestria soon, as the majority of the humans will want to kill them all. Sunset will be the one to tell them about Equestria and get them all to go there. I hope you all like this chapter! Next Chapter will be out as soon as I can think of more stuff! I have some scenes already planned out, but I can't think of any good segways to them.
