A war with friendship?

1941- Lithuania- Raseiniai- June,22 9:30 AM

Russian and German tank divisions engage each other among them is a kv-1 tank, “Yuri 500 meters ahead enemy tank,send when ready” I said.

“Grigori, load APCBC-HE and be on standby for-” when I was was interrupted by a loud thump against the front of the tank followed by several explosions about 60 ft away from us “how does it look out there ivan?” said Yuri.

As he fired the main cannon knocking out a panzer IV and Grigori pushed a shell into the breach “Uhhh its not looking good the T-34 got knocked out and we are leading the charge so full force ahead, Damien!” I said

Damien gave a nod and shifted into 4th gear. I was starting to get nervous as the enemy tank line grew closer and closer while shells bounced of the front of the tank got louder and sounded close to penetrating the armor when Yuri started firing again which snapped me out of my thought and realized the we would have to fall back when the number of enemy tanks grew to double what they where “Damien fall back, There are too many of them!” I yelled.

The tank came to a abrupt halt which made my head slam against the commander's cupola drawing blood from my head.

“Spike can you grab me the book on teleportation?” Twilight said looking at spike with a face of pity.

”Yeah, just give me a second” Spike groaned and grabbed the latter, put it against the bookshelf, and grabbed a dusty book from book from the shelf. Twilight magiced it to her while spike hung from the book eventually falling to the floor with a loud thud

“Sorry spike I didn't mean to I just-” she was interrupted by spike “whatever I dont care can I have those gems you promised me?”

Spike said as he picked himself off the floor and dusted himself off ”Oh yea,right here you go just dont eat them too fast or you will get sick” twilight said as she floated a bag to spike who grabbed it and ran upstairs. “Ok long distance teleportation spell.” twilight said as she skimmed through the pages of the book spike gave her “Darn it there is nothing, well let me just try a really powerful teleportation spell and see if I can get to Canterlot without taking the train” twilight lit up her horn and her face scrunched up as the aurora around her horn turned a bright purple and started to get really bright. She finally casted the spell but a magic explosion rang out as she fell to the floor unconscious. Spike ran from upstairs to see what happened when he saw twilight he ran to her to make sure she was ok

“Twilight are you ok?! TWILIGHT!” Spike screamed as he shook twilight and decided that he should get some help. He ran for the door and called for the nearest pony “Hey help me I need help!” spike shouted as several ponys came running to his aid.

More shots bounced off of the tank as we reversed away from the fast approaching german tanks when suddenly smoke filled our view

“I can't see anything sir!”Damien shouted “I can’t see anything from any of the view ports either” Grigori said in a calm but nervous voice, when all of a sudden I felt like we drove over a big bump that made all of us slam our heads into the metal roof before falling back into our chairs

“what was that!,i think a enemy bombed us” Damien said before faint sunlight came through our viewports. I looked through the commander's cupola and saw a forest surrounded us from all sides and sweat started pouring down my face

“Where is the enemy? Where did this forest come from? This was not here! There should be miles of open fields!” I said in a very panicked voice while Grigori loaded another shell into the breach “Oh shit Yuri are you ok!?, Yuri answer me are, you ok!” I yelled and checked Yuri’s vitals “He is alive, but unconscious. We need to get our bearings and fast. Uhh, Damien, forward but slow” I said in as calm of a voice as I could, which wasn't that calm when I think about it. ‘Ok maybe we blacked out while retreating? Or maybe the maps are wrong? I don't know where we are!’ I thought to myself. After about five minutes of crawling along the forest in a 45 ton metal deathtrap Damien said

“There is a dirt road here it looks like it leads out of this forest. Should I follow it, commander?” I thought about this for a while. ‘Get captured by the Axis and be a prisoner of war or starve to death in a hot, loud, uncomfortable, cramped tank?’

“Yes, follow the road, but stay cautious, ok?” I said in a firm voice. Damien gave me a nod and we turned to the left and started following the road towards the exit of the forest. When we got to the edge of the forest Damien stopped for a second in hesitation before driving on and what I saw, I couldn't believe; green rolling hills, nice blue sky with few clouds dotted around. ‘What is this? Are we even in the same world? Where is the battle scarred fields? Where are all the burning tanks? I haven't heard a single gunshot in the last 7 minutes’ I thought to myself as we followed the road, which soon turned to cobblestone. Our tank treads made gnarly grinding sounds on the cobblestones.

“Uh, uh what happened?” Yuri said as he look around at me, Damien, and Grigori, who has been silent while looking through his viewports

“Yuri, are you ok?” I said as I grabbed ahold of him, pulling him into a hug.

“Uh yea, I am ok. How long have I been out?”

“About five minutes, I think” I said, letting go of him as he wiped blood off of his forehead. I then went on discussing to him what I have seen and he was just as confused as I was.

“Twilight? Twilight, can you hear me?” a faint voice called out to Twilight, which she recognized as Redheart

“Ugg, what happened?” Twilight said as she opened her eyes to see that she was in a hospital. She looked to her left and Rarity Applejack and Spike looked at her with worried faces. She looked to her right and saw Pinkie pie Fluttershy and Rainbow dash looking at her with more worried faces. Redheart coughed into her hoof and said

“You used too much magic and got extreme fatigue. You just need some rest and you should be out of here about noon. If you need anything just push this button” as she gestured to a remote laying on the blanket covering her.

“Thanks redheart I should be fine, thanks anyways” Twilight said. Redheart gave her a small smile before slipping out of the room.

“So uh twilight what spell did you perform dear?” Rarity said with worry on her face

“I was trying to figure out how to use long distance teleportation spells so we can get places faster. Wait, why do you ask?” Twilight said with just a hint of worry.

“Well” Fluttershy started before she got distracted “Oh right sorry, something happened in the Everfree Forest and some of my animal friends warned me about a big green metal animal thing that was knocking over trees. Do you think that might be connected somehow?” Fluttershy got a little nervous when Rainbow dash jumped in for her.

“I was on a cloud when I heard trees falling. I flew over to where I heard it happening and there was a big metal tracked thing that was there, so we think you might have accidentally teleported something to there” Rainbow dash finished and twilight looked lost in thought before responding.

“We need to find what that ‘green metal thing’ is and make sure its not dangerous” Twilight said before yawning ‘Oh right magical exhaustion. I forgot’ before falling asleep again.

We were driving for what felt like 15 minutes when we crested a hill revealing a rustic looking town. “Damien stop here and be ready to take off” I said as I unlatched the commander's hatch and poped out with a pair of binoculars to take a close look. What I saw was crazy and I would have never thought that I would see ponys that are sentient. “Dear god, we are not on Earth anymore, gentlemen” I said with wide eyes and open jaw. ‘What should I do? What should I say? Oh I have a idea’ “Damien, drive into those bushes and try to hide the tank. Yuri, Grigori, come with me.” I said and gestured to the bushes when we climbed out of the tank. Damien drove behind a line of bushes and we started throwing downed trees and pulled shrubs to hide it. Once we were happy with the concealment of our tank we shut down the engine and started to sneak our way to the town. When we got to a river we decided to try and take the bridge so we wouldn't get soaked and have smelly, wet tankmen suits. We had our PPSH slung around our body’s as we made our way to a bridge that the path led to. We took our guns off the slings and had them in hand, ready to engage enemies. When we made it to the bridge, we heard horse's walking while some people where talking. We slinked under the bridge when the people walked by. We found out that they were colorful pony that could talk! And they were talking about a princess.

“What kind of place are we in, boys?” asked Yuri. At the time I didn't know but I, as commander, decided we should probably try to slink into town and get some info on where we where and what was happening. We then heard a voice that was obviously aimed towards us.

“Hey you uh… thing! Stop and come here!” yelled a purple pony with a purple mane that had a stripe of a different shade of purple going through it. She was also a unicorn but at the time the boys and I got scared and took off towards where we had left the tank.

“Our cover is blown! Get to the tank and prepare to engage and other tanks!” I heard the purple pony yell something before I heard multiple wings flapping and several sets of hooves running towards us. When we got to the tank we scrambled into our positions. Before I closed the hatch I saw a blue pegasus flying towards the tank. “Lock all hatches and get this tank moving now!” I barked and after the engine fired up we started moving. We knocked down a small tree and took off down the path towards the pony village that we saw when we heard a voice call out to us

“Wait! We are not here to hurt you! We are friendly and want to help you!” I could tell it was the purple one and for a moment I thought we should keep going but my mind had other ideas

“Damien stop and power down the engine” I said as we came to a slow stop and could hear hooves approaching the tank as I called out “Are you with the Germans?” the hooves soon stopped and a small voice called out to us

“No we are not working with the… uh ‘Germans’. We want to help you!” I let out a sigh and unlatched the commanders hatch and poked out to see six ponies standing there looking at me with slightly scared expressions. The purple one walked forward and held out a hoof

“My name is Twilight Sparkle. I just want to talk to you. Can you please get out of the big metal thing?” I thought about this and whispered to Yuri

“If things go downhill, you are the new commander” Then I hopped out of the turret and jumped to the ground which startled most of the ponies except the blue pegasus. I slowly walked towards the purple pony, ‘Twilight sparkle I think her name was’? When I got to the purple pony I realized how small the ponies where. They reached almost to the mid part of my chest. I reached down and shook the purple ones hoof and glanced back at the tank where Yuri was peeking out of the open hatch at me “Yuri, toss me the bottle of vodka” I said which startled all of the ponies as a bottle of vodka came flying out of the hatch towards me. But before I could grab it it was caught by a magical aurora made by the purple pony. The bottle floated into my hand before the aurora disappeared I looked at the bottle then at the purple pony who looked at me with fascination “Uh, this is a peace offering to you” I said as I handed the bottle to her. She picked it up in her magic thing and set the bottle next to herself.
“Uh thanks, if you don't mind i would like to ask you to follow me to my castle” Twilight said in a calm yet stern voice
“Let me talk it over with my crew and i will have a answer for you in about 5 minutes or less” I said as I started to walk back to the tank when i got back in the turret Yuri and Grigori looked at me with confused looks before I started “So these pony things want us to come with them to there castle what do you guys think?” I said Damien looked puzzled for a moment

“Let's do what they say but we keep our guns and we follow in the tank if they attack us we will engage them does that sound good?” said Damien. I thought for a moment before I popped my head out of the commander's hatch “uh ponies we came to a agreement that we will follow you but we follow in our tank and we will engage if you attack us ok?” I said the group of ponies were huddled together they all turned to face me and Twilight stood forward and said

“Ok follow us and we will try to help you and clear up this mess” I went back into the turret and ordered damien to follow the ponies until they tell us to stop.
