To Stare into the Abyss - Uchiha Madara
All worlds, realities and universes are connected to each other, some in a more subtle way than others. The ideas of some people, the dreams of others, all exist but not in their reality, universes such as that of Harry Potter, Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Little Pony, etc, They all exist, but they are not the same thing you see on TV or in a book.
We all reside within some reality, and that is technically a law, but certain entities exist outside the laws of reality, and they exist everywhere and nowhere, they are known as gods, demons, etc. I personally know them as merchants or the merchant to be precise I only met one of them, and let me tell you, they are assholes.
The strangest day of my life began with an event I was eagerly waiting for, the anime convention in Seattle, my cosplay was ready and almost perfect, it cost me about five thousand dollars, I was going to be the best Madara in the damn convention!.
'Yeah I know, too much money for a cosplay but hey! It was the last time I ever used a dollar so....'
The armor was made in Japan, like the rest of the cosplay, but the armor was the most expensive item, but I was missing something important, Madara's Gunbai, maybe I would get it at the convention. 'This was my first and last mistake in this reality, going with the intentions of buying that gunbai, but I couldn't know...what the future had in store for me'
I went with my best friend to the convention, My best friend was a huge fan of anime and any existing animated series, but he didn't like to draw attention in any way, so he refused to use any type of cosplay or weird clothing. Four hours driving, and we finally got to the convention, my friend went to the old anime section, trying to find a copy of Astro Boy, while I decided to see if I could find Madara's Gunbai.
And this is where my story begins, I started walking among the merchants, trying to see if anyone had the Gunbai I was looking for, after a while walking, a guy with what at the time I thought was a pretty convincing resident evil merchant cosplay whistle at me.
Once he got my attention, he pointed me to come near him to see his merchandise, and I, who was about to give up on my quest, agreed.
“Good afternoon Uchiha Madara, I notice you're looking for something, maybe I can help you.” said the Merchant with a smile that would make the joker look like a party clown for kids.
“I lost my Gunbai in my last fight against Hashirama, and I have yet to succeed in the mission to retrieve it, perhaps you could help me.” I replied while holding a laugh inside me, I was good at cosplaying not role-playing.
The merchant stared at me for a couple of seconds, as if he was deciding whether to give me something or not, then turned over and opened a giant chest, from which he pulled out the most realistic Gunbai I've ever seen, it was perfect, “It seems that I have found it, it will only cost you two hundred dollars, is just a small commission for my excellent service, and since I'm in a good mood, I will add a pill of phoenix tears, it heals any wound or fixes any deformities, like the face of hashirama on your chest, and sometimes it gives you eternal youth thought the chances of that happening are like 0.00001%”
I instantly took out my wallet and I had the wonderful experience to say - Shut up and take my money -. 'What can I say, I also love memes so don't judge me', the pill he gave me, was actually a candy which I ate immediately 'It tasted like a jelly ranger', if it's sweet I will eat it, after saying goodbye to the merchant the world around me began to break like a mirror shattering into a thousand pieces, my first thought was' this bastard drugged me ', I was so wrong, so wrong...
I woke up in a mountain a few inches from the cliff. 'I don't know if I have to say it, but I almost peed myself at that moment. ', looking everywhere I got a path leading to the base of the mountain, as I went down the path I found, I started to check my body for scars or anything out of the ordinary, I wanted to know if my kidneys were where they should still be. 'I didn't notice here I had the body of a gym ad, I guess I was distracted'
In the middle of the way I saw something that looked like a gem but of colossal proportions, as if it were a pillar in the middle of nowhere made out of glass or gems, I wasn't an expert in geology but this didn't look normal, The closer I got to the gem, the clearer I could see my reflection, and something was horribly wrong with my reflection, when there was only one meter of separation between me and the colossal gem was that I could appreciate my situation.
Without thinking a few words escaped from my mouth, “What the hell is this?!” and surprise again, my voice sounded deep and evil, it sounded exactly like Madara's voice, this made me panic even deeper than before, “I am not Madara! This is just a cosplay! My name is...” Another bomb in less than a minute, I didn't remember my name or how I should look like, I didn't remember anyone's names in my family, or my friends, my entire life had been wipe out of my mind, like ripping pages out of a book.
I looked at my reflection for about two hours, in which I took off my armor to see my body, my new body, trying to find if something in this body was still mine. I was never fat or skinny, but the body I had now looked like that of a person who went to gym every day, “I guess I'm Madara now, but how and why?...why me?” I said in a broken voice as I cried, my tears fell to the ground, I was crying for my mother without even remembering her name, without remembering the sweet sound of her voice, I was able to remember so many things, but the memories that I yearned the most, those were gone, I did not remember the name of my friends or my family, I cried for the emptiness I had now, I felt that my life was now a puzzle but without all the pieces that go in the center of it.
I noticed that I had memories in my head, memories that felt so strange yet familiar to me, chakra, jutsus, the proper use of the Sharingan and the Rinnegan, the wood release and a bunch of other stuff, so I started to check what was I able to remember, Some animes, some shows, music, but when it came to names and faces, those memories had been wipe out clean.
After a couple more hours, summing up the information I had available in my head, I came to the conclusion that everything that had to do with my world had been erase from my head or at the very least hidden away, I remembered with heavy details things like Naruto, Dragon Ball, My Little Pony, and many other series, animes and Cartoons, but asides from that, nothing, Shit I didn't even remember what I did to pay rent.
After calming down I decided to investigate where the hell I was, so I got dressed and followed the path I had found earlier, after about five minutes walking, I remembered that in my head there was information about the use of the chakra, looking at the rock wall on my left side I decided to try if I could walk on the walls like every Ninja in the narutoverse, so I just went to the wall and surprise! It worked at the first try, “Huh, cool... I guess being Madara has its perks like getting out of this mountain before I become an elder.”
I started running down the mountain vertically like it was the most natural thing in the world, and in less than a couple of minutes I was on the beautiful ground, finally, But now I was in a forest, and as simple as that was I was lost again. I started going deeper into the forest, I may not remember my name or my life but I know I was quite the coward, but for some reason I felt super safe and had the strange feeling nothing could harm me in this forest.
As I walked through the forest I heard a scream coming from a woman, or a very frightened man, I decided to go and see what happened and to help if possible, when I approached the place I heard the scream coming, I saw a girl with brown wings with some white coloration on the end of the feathers, the girl had a leather suit and a big sword, and she was fighting a giant lizard with three heads, so I thought it was a hydra the thing she was fighting.
'Walking on the walls worked, it's time to try another jutsu. ' In just one step I stood in front of the girl I was surprised by my own speed, and with incredible speed I made the hand signs to throw a jutsu, a jutsu that since I saw it in the series has been one of my favorites. “Katon Gōka Mekkyaku!” The wave of fire swept away the lizard and a very large piece of the forest. 'Oh crap, I didn't think that through... '
The girl stared at me with her mouth open, as if she was trying to decide whether to attack me or run away. In the end she decided to put her sword near my throat and threatening way she asked me, “Who are you?! You know what?! Forget that! What in tartarus are you?!”
With the sword pointed at my throat, and the winged girl in front of me, I didn't know what to answer, now that the situation had calmed down, my brain had started to process the fact that she had wings on her back, her hands now that they were close enough for me to look, they were like some kind of feline paws with thumbs, what the hell was this girl?!, and more importantly what am I going to answer?.
But before I could answer what she asked me, the girl fell onto the ground unconscious, as I approached the girl to help her I noticed that the girl was bleeding very badly, and showed signs of poisoning, not knowing if the girl had family or friends nearby I decided to help her again for the moment being.
It's pretty good that Madara, also known as me at the moment, had a thorough knowledge of medical ninjutsu, so I created a wooden clone, having my clone use 'Saikan Chūshutsu no Jutsu' to extract the poison while I used 'Shōsen Jutsu' to heal her and stop the bleeding. And it was working great, my clone was extracting the poison, while I was closing the wounds and stopping the bleeding.
After finishing the treatment, the girl began to wake up, and again stared at me, but this time she asked in a strangely sweet way as if she didn't believe it, “Why did you help me?”.
With a smile I turned to look at her, “You looked scared, alone, against a situation beyond your control, and I felt identified.”
'Right now that's the whole description of how I feel.'
With a slight laugh the girl, gave me a cocky smile, and with her eyes close said as she stood from the ground, “Maybe, but if you tell anyone I'll cut your head off, got it?, and now that I think about it, what did you do against that Hydra? You're not a Dragon, but you vaporized it, and thanks for taking care of me, My name is Gianna by the way."
Seeing that the girl was fine, I decided to continue my way, but the girl stopped me, this time without her sword. “If you want you can come with me to griffinstone, my dad will be more than happy to help the man who prevented his daughter from escaping and dying during the same day. “, when she said griffinstone my first thought was, 'nah is just a coincidence, but what if is not?' So I decided to ask, “What's your father's name?”
"My dad is the first king of the Griffons, Grover Boras." 'Grover? Griffons? This is My Little Pony! But Grover lived thousands of years ago outside the story I know, and more importantly, she looks like a human with certain parts being the exception to that like her hands and her wings.' While my head was spinning about why if I was in the MLP universe things weren't like I remembered from the series, the girl pulled me out of my trance with a simple question “Would you be so kind as to give me your name?”
"My name is Uchiha Madara, and I'd be happy to accompany you to Griffinstone" I said with a faint smile, as I began to list my priorities, get a shelter, compare my MLP information with this world and many other things, the girl began to walk away and with her hand she gave me to understand that she wanted me to follow her, and so I embarked on a new path, not knowing what was in store for me.
