In This Little Space Of Mine
The sun blinds my vision, and for the fifth time now I flinch.
I awoke with a start, suddenly waking up with nothing but a sense of danger and pain, not to mention the sudden feeling of anxiousness. My head throbs here and there at times, ringing a loud echo, faintly killing the sound of the birds chirping outside. My arms feel like they’ve been burned to a crisp, with burns and blisters here and there all over it.
I open my eyes, which to my surprise, took a lot more effort than I thought, and checked my surroundings. I’m in a large cubed shaped room, glistering bright with white painted all over the walls. I’m dressed in a not so fashionable, soft and cozy white shirt topped off with pants that’s both overfit. I lie upon a bed, with the sheets smelling the scent of roses and dandelions, it’s fabric comforting and heavenly.
To my right, locates a round, wooden table, fit and carved for the most proffered occasion. Quite the disarray of situations, there. Placed on top is an unopened water bottle with a ceramic cup placed downside up. A wooden chair is available right next to it.
To my left, locates a big window, probably fit enough for a full grown man to jump out of, the sun blinding me constantly with it’s fiery blaze. Either I squint my eyes - which I lost count amount of- or let the rays burn my eyes, and no, fuck that.
For once, I took a big and long glance at my body. I try to raise my arms, but they fall short for moving. Instead, I move my eyes towards, suddenly widening at the vision. Both of my arms are wrapped in thick white cloth, probably lap over lap placed on to it. My legs are no exception either. They both feel heavy in my case, and I can’t raise them too, either that I’m exhausted or my ligaments are broken.
I sit up, trying to figure out what the hell is happening. For what I know, as of now, I’m in a room with no memory of how I got here. No recollection could I forth out. They’re all gone.
My vision begins to feel a bit blurry, the surrounding area suddenly dissipating from my point of view. At first, I didn’t realize it, but now I do.
The drips of water coming out of my eyes begin to pour down, like miniature rain.
I keep on crying. Keep on sobbing.
Keep on weeping.
But my expression remains the same.
It stayed that way.
An Engagement At It’s Worst (1)
Today some doctors came to greet me.
They all wore this type of all white clothing. In their hands were held clipboards and files, filled with an abundance of paper. One of them was a male, who was wearing a pair of slim glasses with a sanitary mask obscuring his mouth, while others were women, from what I counted were 3. They all wore the same type of clothing and size, the only difference being skin colour. They look oh so sleek and smart, each and every one of them asking me questions, copying down my words on blank sheets. But, from the way I see it, their queries were...
quite subjective.
”Where do you live?”
”What happened?”
”Do you even remember what happened?”
Those were the type of questions that I got. Some that were downright personal and clueful for me to even lay a finger on a distinctive answer rather than just saying the casual plain old boring ”I dunno” stance. To which I combatted, blatantly and with a hint -which is surely not the case- of sarcasm,
”I sure hope I do.”
Well that was a quick and easy fix. It’s even durable.
The session wasn’t a quick one either. It took us approximately around 2 hours before the QnA could actually stop to a holt, and even then that’s because they ran out of time, and time was a rare essence towards them. Not due to the boringness and lack of care I have on this subject, oh, of course, no.
”I have to go now, it seems. I have another appointment in mind.” The man said as he took a closer inspection on his watch, which clearly displays the number 10:00. At that point, I didn’t bother to give two flying fucks. Instead, I was relieved, and quite surprised at how ’short’ the session was, and it’s just that I didn’t directly show it to their innocent looking eyes. Didn’t wanna deal more harm than good, right?
The man and all 3 left, and now it’s just me inside of this empty and honestly quite spacious room. I took a heavy sigh, and let it all out in one swift motion. Now, that’s out of the way, what’s next?

What is next?
I realized something that was already too late to fix. Since the doctors are now gone, which lets me be on my own, I was too ignorant to take to the fact that if they leave, the only things keeping me company and sane are my random thoughts. And I know for a fact that won’t be damn good company. In fact, the opposite.
Oh fuck.
‘Well, what now, hmm? You’ve just put yourself to a pit, dumbass. Try getting out of this sheer nuisance of the existence of what we call ’boredom’, bitch. I’m sure you can’t. I know for a fact that you can’t. Just fantastic there my friend. Such sanguinity, such intelligence, such brains.’
“Shut the fuck up.” I say, to my own self.
Without further ado, I accepted my fate with a really heavy heart and laid down comfortably on the fluffy bed that was given. I try to think of what happened yesterday, and the recollections that came with it.
So I woke up.
Questioned myself.
Stayed like that for about the whole damn day.
Then slept.
“Ooookay, I really did nothing yesterday h-“ I mutter towards my own, but was cut short of a bang towards the heavy wooden doors.
With lightning reflexes, I accidentally jumped out of my position, my heart pumping and blood circulating turned double. I hear a soft, piped voice, which in my ears sound like a woman.
“Can I come in?”
That’s weird. If it was the doctors, then they would have just swung the doors open, ignoring any sign of privacy, then sit right next to me. This was another motion in play. Meaning, this is another person. A visitor, perhaps? Or a relative? Damn, how should I know. I have barely anything to relate nor cope with my-
The doors bang again, cutting my mental discussion in half in about a split second, but this time not as loud as previously. I doubt myself to answer, but then again, what’s the harm? It’s not like a serial killer is gonna go for me, hunting me down till I finally rot. Besides, I’m already broken. Hah!
“Y-yes.” I squeak.
The entrance swings open with a slow and steady push, creating miniature creeks that fills the silence of the room, at the moment. Comes out a woman of a small figure, wearing nothing but a pink sweater and some jeans. To her shoulder was a little bunny, which nibbled on her right ear. Her skin tone was yellow, but her hair was all light pink. Her hands started to fiddle, and her moving stopped to a holt as she moves inside the room.
“Hello there, Jason. I’m Fluttershy.” She snickered.

An Engagement At It’s Worst (2)
.......who?
I ponder as the woman gradually looks over me, her hands fiddling about, and her face looking down in complete shyness. Just who is she talking to? Is she sure that it’s me? Hell, how do I know? I could ask her, but judging from her state as of right now, I don’t think that’s a polite way to continue this conversation.
But then again, that’s currently the only way.
With a heavy heart and mouth, I speak to her very gently.
“I’m sorry. Who?”
She looks up towards me, bringing up a shocked expression, and a face full of guilt, like all of her pride and achievements, has just been washed away into the depths of nothingness. Which, simultaneously, makes me even more worried about her. Has she always been like this? Damn, that would be surprising to know. Wish I could, actually.
”Nonononono. That’s not what I meant. What I tried to say was, are you sure you have the right guy? I don’t want you to be talking to a complete stranger with no idea of your context, not to mention what could be lingering inside it.” I hesitantly mumble.
She tries to make up words, from the way I see it, but fails to grasp a sentence. All that she could speak was a couple of ‘uhms’ and ‘ah’s’. Was she still shocked? This is already long enough for that amount of fright. But, of course, with enough time, she was able to form a sentence, but still in the motion of shyness overload.
“Y-yes. I’m sure that it’s you.”
Huh. Now that clears things up a little.
A little, of course.
I sigh slightly, and look up towards her. This girl seems to know me in another level than I know myself. Wow, that sounds wrong. Anyway, she looks like the type of girl that would be fine in graduating information, which is really non problematic for me. In fact, it’s actually beneficial. The more facts that I get about my own self, body, mind, morality, visual representation, and etcetera, the more I can live up to those prescriptivists.
I raise my arm, giving her a gentle hand to grasp, as she reaches towards me. She grabs it tight, and I instantly feel the hot, soothing warmth go through my while entire body. The feeling was so real and immaculate, I begin to realise how low my temperature was before this. But at the end, I didn’t give a damn thought about it.
But in reality, it felt familiar.
I asked her to sit down at the brown wooden chair that was left in store, and so she did. The bunny at her ear is still nibbling about, minding it’s own business. She, however, calls it towards her hands, and immediately it began travelling downwards, reaching her reached out arm. She strokes it gently, with care and precision like an expert.
“How can you do that?” I ask.
“Oh. She’s really friendly with me, so I guess.” She softly, and quietly squeaks, to the point I have to pay full attention just to hear her words.
Great. Now enough time killing. To the main point of this engagement.
At least, my point.
“Fluttershy, wasn’t it?”
She looks up towards me, bringing a questioned expression. I gulp, and with a heavy heart, weighing more than what I can lift, I look up to her, my face concentrated and serious.
“Can you tell me what’s going on now?”
“What do you mean?” She releases a deep sigh all the while saying those words, her head practically in the verge of collapsing due to the sheer fear of whatever she’s thinking of as of now. Maybe my next line.
Well, she should.
“Can you like, explain to me, everything? Like, who are you to me? A relative? Or a friend? And what about me? What was I before?” I spat out.
“J-Jason...I..”
“And that’s another ordeal. How do you know me? Have we even met?”
“Jason..”
“Not only that, but how did I get here? What happened before this? All of this? Did I have a family? If so, where are they? And, and what about-“
“Jason. Stop. Now.”
I stop to get my breathing back to pace, a rush of anger and curiosity flooding my system gates. Without realising, I feel a bit of a tangent coming towards me from the chest, like venom in my bloodstream. It hurts, the moment I begin to neglect it, the more the pulsing feeling the more I try to resist ignoring it’s existence.
A glow, soft and light blue, ignites from the inside of my shirt, right at where the pain sharpens. The chest. It’s light blue in colour, from what I can see penetrating the shirt’s white thick fabric. The pain that I just recently felt now just shifted, from bad to worst. Now, it’s from a pulse, to a burning sensation. One that drives me. Badly.
It was like hell is raising, right dead centre.
I place both hands to the glow, monotone light, and grasp on it, clenching like my life depended on it. I scream, not to loud nor to low, but damn was it sounding like a scream, containing immense levels of pain.
It didn’t stop.
For the most part, it stayed that way.
But all things must come to an end.
Be bitter or sweet.
Finally, after a matter of raw minutes, which felt like an eternity, the glow dissipated, and the pain leaves me be.
“What-what was that?” I pant.
“That, Jason, is your geode.” She answers, pointing at my once lit with blue light chest.
I look to her in confusion, or rather disbelief. She retaliates.
“Look, I can explain. From top to bottom.”
Finally. A proper engagement.
I smile, and nod.
Interlude; The 4th Division

Side note, little bit as you might say it ‘edgy’.
But, since it’s an important part of the plot, and massive information basis, I had to.

Interlude; The 4th Division
Rainbow slams the desk hard, and everybody in the room decided to stay quiet.
“Dammit!” She screams on the top of her lungs, ignoring everyone inside like they’re all ants in a jar. Nothing was more important right now, in her mind. What was on her presence is the most unpressed, and the most vital.
Angel Grace, a corporate, and apparently a close friend to Rainbow, decides to tap her shoulder, looking towards her faint and blurry eyes, then noticing the files that were carried by her seconds ago.
“Tell me what’s wrong.”
Rainbow sniffs in response, a tear coming out of her eyes. That’s when Angel realised that this was a matter of serious proportions. Rainbow never cries, not even a droplet, as Angel recorded and stamped deep in her memory of her best friend. Rainbow was seen as the powerhouse to Angel back in the day, or better yet, the shield or protector of Angel’s darkest fears and worse enemies.
And where did that go?
“4th Division’s gone cold.” She sniffs out, her breathing a mess and her voice throated.
Immediately, Angel gasps. Hell, everyone did. The war against Sombra is already reaching it’s second annual, and even then no progress has been done. In fact, everything has been a sole backtrack. Almost every division they’ve sent has been compromised, then twisted by Sombra’s forces, forced to obey every command that beast orders. By now, their army is double of theirs.
And now, the 4th Division, the best of the best, has been destroyed. Turned to one of Sombra’s.
Now what hope do they have?
“Have they...have they been neutralised?” Angel softly whispers.
Rainbow looks ahead at the eyes of Angel, staring at her, dead eye bloodshot. Angel responds by shrinking in utter fear, before Rainbow raises the file by one hand.
“Well, this was filed 48 hours ago, so best guess is that they’ve been.”
She sighs heavily. That’s another division gone for the count. Last week, was Division 6. Last month, Division 10 and 8. They were loosing more and more. By now, Angel thinks that they can’t damn afford another breach into the castle. Or even scouting. They can’t risk loosing more men on the battlefield.
However, one question still lingered in the mind of Angel. One that, she had the guts to ask.
“How about their commander in charge?”
“Graveheart?” Rainbow raises an eyebrow, her eyes still blurry and foggy. Angel nods.
“Scouts said they haven’t seen him anywhere. They say that he got away, but that’s a damn of an assumption.”
“Shit, he’s the best of the Division. Better yet, he’s a rank higher than me, for Celestia’s sake. There’s always a hint of hope of him escaping.” Angel replies.
“Yeah, I know. And considering that he’s neck and neck with me is more painful to take when you consider it.” Rainbow sniffs again, this time wiping her eyes with her hands.
Time passes by, and all that Angel does is stare morbidly into the file that Rainbow’s holding, flashing back recollections of the ongoing war. All that she could picture was devastation. Destruction of lives, the stripping of free will, the fire that enraged the hearts of the Allegiance, the resistance that she’s in.
Everything that they’ve done was for a better world. But why was it that everything-
Suddenly, she hears the sobs of none other,
than Rainbow.
She’s still holding that file of hers, but her face is red. Crimson red. Drops of tears flow from her cheeks and falls to the ground, hitting the obsidian black table that’s in front of them. Everybody seems to mind their own business, not even realising what’s going on with their general.
Angel corresponds by hugging her friend tight, the cold and the despair of her soul seeping into her emotions. Rainbow does the same, pressing her tight, as if Angel doesn’t need to breath. Thus, she choked a bit, but hid that away from Rainbow. All that was in focus was her. Nothing else, but her.
Angel thought Rainbow wasn’t going to confess. Fortunate for the both of them, she did.
“First was Applejack. Then Fluttershy. After that was Pinkamena. Dammit, Rarity, and then Twilight.” She choked out.
“All my life, I went through hardships. Almost all of my friends, are gone. I thought that was the last of it. Now him?”
Angel doesn’t reply. She didn’t want to, to begin with.
“General Rainbow Dash!” Someone shouted out from the entrance of the room. She and Angel stopped the emotional moment, and looked at him, Rainbow wiping the tears out of her eyes, while throwing away all sign of sadness and despair. It’s already natural to her. Wear the mask and toss the face.
“You better see this.” He said, as he gave Rainbow the binoculars he was previously using. Rainbow grabbed it politely, and rushed outside to see what was to be petrified of. She went outside, and used the binoculars.
At first, she saw nothing, but then, she did see something.
Like that was a good sign.
All that she could figure from what she saw could construct two words; Sombra’s armada.
She gave the binoculars back to it’s respective owner, and off he goes, before Rainbow got the chance to curse, heading inside while doing so, with Angel following every step she does.
“Shit. Shit, shit, shit.”
“What’s the matter?”
“Sombra knows where our hideout is. He sent an army for us.”
“Fuck. How will we extract?”
She sighs, and looks over to the majority inside the room, before turning herself back to Angel.
“We can’t. It’s too risky, and we can get cut off right when they see us.”
She turns back to the people inside, and shouts out loud.
“Alright, people. Listen up!”
They all give their fullest attention, dropping down everything that they were doing. The surrounding area becomes heavy with tension, and all of them bring up frightened faces, without even realising it. Rainbow sighs before spreading the news to them.
“Sombra knows where we are. He’s after us.”
Before they could respond with sounds of rattling, Rainbow cuts them out.
“We can’t extract. We’ll be easily spotted. With that said and done, I need every manpower I can get on the front lines. Charming, call the troops in. We need ‘em.”
He nods, and calls them out.
“You all, stay safe, and hide in the bunker below. If they breach, leave immediately before they cut off the back exit. Understand?”
They all nod in unison.
Afterwards, Rainbow makes her way outside, grabbing her gear and sword before sprinting to the front lines that was already formed.
“Today, we fight for the Allegiance. Remember that.”
They all raise their weapons together, signalling their never ending spirit.
Live together, die together.
And that’s what they’re exactly doing right now.
Without hesitation, Rainbow releases her wings, without any sort of trouble, and adjusts them as she suits. She’ll be needing them in this fight.
And without further ado, they call out the name of Celestia, and charge into battle, the clouds displaying a deadly array of red and orange.

Ehh, this was off schedule. Really off.
Sorry about that. I will try to get shit done on time.
By the way, if you don’t understand things, please understand that it’s all part of the story. It’s explained on Part 2 of this chapter.
Necessities In The Absence Of Kings (1)
It was a breezy day, and everything was harmonic from the ground up.
The statue held up primly at the front of CHS. The portal stirs and shimmers here and there at times, all following the motion of the wind. Loose leaves from the tress nearby blows away, spewing dust and ash towards the little camp that the Mane 7 has assembled. There, right in front of the portal leading them to Equestria, lies a sheet, with a checkered pattern on said sheet, laid down with baskets and trays filled with food on top.
The place they had chosen was, as anyone could say, peculiar. For some of them, it sure did. Not only were they camping near a school, for fuck’s sake, but they’re doing so smack dab right dead centre next to the portal. Who knows what can happen there on out. The portal is very invulnerable, let alone secret, so if someone else that per say tagged along were to, say lean on the ‘mirror’, the facade will be lost. For good.
But, they trusted their senses, and each other. They know that the portal, on the other side for clarification, is kept with good hands. Well, hands wasn’t really the proper term, but alas. For them here, it’s pretty easy to keep watch on curious by passers, being said that they were right there. Besides, it’s better for them to be here, and have close eyes on the only lead to another realm, rather than being who knows where, doing who knows what at the wrong time.
Sunset was the one who chose the delicate spot. It was, however, not supported by everybody at first. Some disagreed to the rather fishy and suspicious area, them the only ones knowing what the portal contains. They would have instead went to another place, albeit the location is shaded and breezy.
But laziness struck the redhead. Dammit, gas was another ordeal. In the end, she’s gonna drive.
And, with the knowledge in mind, Sunset convinced them about both of those attributes, being at the statue. With a heavy heart, they followed her ways. But never did they hold a grudge. Since, Sunset was right from the get go, it was kind of breezy there. And plus, the statue provides enough shade for them. So all they had to say was a casual touché.
And with that they began the feast. Food was portrayed into the eyes of the hungry, and the bitter taste of hunger increases more and more, to the point of their mouths just watering to the scenery. At last, after everything is sorted out, they indulged, all while chatting about their daily lives and whatnot. Usual.
Conversations were hot, and the food was being served fresh and yummy. What would ruin this perfectly relaxing and amazing day?
Well, turns out something that they would have expected.
With a sudden faint glow of their geodes, they know it’s a turn for magic. It was inexplicit; just a ancient glow, and nothing else. Something that they didn’t have, since, well, ever. They fade and brighten back in existing harmony, one second gone, the other there. They caught on to this, peculiar by what’s happening to their geodes.
They stop their actions and pay full attention. Peculiar by it, they soon question why it occurs, and more importantly, how it occurs.
Then came a sudden sound. A sound, they never heard before.
It was ripping, like somebody tearing sheets of paper at the same time, while screeching the wall of the school with a very loud scraper. It blasts the girls out of their comfort zone, and more to the ‘let me close my ears so that I get to escape this deafening ritual’ zone. It only lasted a second, though. It was soon toned, but then replaced with another sound, this time not as much of ear clenching than the previous.
A whirl, as they describe it.
Like a typhoon, or better yet a hurricane, it’s magnitude thrown out of the window. It was, at some point, like that. Soon comes a gush of air, breezing through their little picnic, making the plates and utensils spewing and flying. Casual, right? Just a gust of wind. Nothing out of the ordinary. Except, there was something, extraordinary. The length. The said gust was too long. A little bit too long to classify as a gust. From a minute, to 5, 10, then 15. It was more like a forming tornado of some’s sort.
Some things are wrong. Some things are bizarre. Could it mean something more than they expect it to be?

Fluttershy takes another deep breath, and continues to tell the story of the beginning of their union and friendship.
“Okay. Here we go again....”
She drifts off, explaining what is needed for Jason.....

The whirlwind was one. Now the portal’s acting up strange.
It just all of a sudden swirled around, like somebody, or something, rather, was about to step out of that damn thing and walk away with it. It stirred with heavy force, practically looking like it was about to implode. The girls, in no way unexpected, took a few trotting steps away, hoping to God that nothing here was about to go down for the worse.
It kinda did. Kinda.
Then came some mysterious sounds. Sounds of whirling. Or maybe better yet, a blackhole kind of sound.It was a mixture of some vibrations, most of it basic, and was everyday noises that anybody could find in their neighbourhood, example being gusts of wind breezing on the daylight. But some things, as others were to put it, bizarre . The dins of something much of a vacuum can also be heard, for an instance. Makes sense. Blackhole noises.
For them, it’s nothing but damn old Equestrian magic. Casual.
Following that was another set of rackets, but this time, it’s much more louder, and yet, much more familiar. No more of the swirls and stirs here and there on about, no, it’s been replaced, for most a totally unexpected swap. Now, for all of a sudden, forth out tumbling. Someone fell, that’s what they could figure out at most. The sounds are in an order, that it’s as though that said someone got up, and muffled something out.
Emphasis on something.
Now for the girls, the debate is still on hot topic. Should they investigate? Spy some? Why not, of course! They can always do that. I mean, they just uncovered something that could be groundbreaking!
But what about the term ‘curiosity kills the cat’? Not to be the party pooper, but it’s a really useful rebuttal to said and explained idea. That right there could be something that they’re not even supposed to get hands, and mostly eyes, on.
They came in terms with this, and got into the debacle, that was given through what they just, seconds ago, went.
However, the bright side of curiosity won. They justified that, sure, it could be pretty private at times, but not times like these. You expect some hidden, dark backstory to what seems like somebody at the back of there, possibly having the exquisite capability of using and enhancing Equestrian magic? Yeah, not so.
And with that, they instantly went to work. The heavy whirls of the wind have ceased to continue, which makes things way more easier. Quick to point out. They checked their surroundings first, since it’s damn awkward being caught eyeing somebody for no reason rather than 2 simple words; why not?
Then, in turn, they began the spying. Well, not all. Only Fluttershy and Twilight did; since Rainbow was an absolute coward at times.
They peeked through the corner, practically taking in whatever’s happening right in front of their very two eyes, whether it be justified to be even real- or not. They didn’t care whether it’s human nor otherwise; all that they want is curiosity. For it to be revealed it’s mystery, and continue with their normal lives.
.....or, so they thought.
What was there was nothing like they expected. For one, there was, what seems, a blackhole shaped warp. It’s like it was a vacuum on steroids, literally creating a hole in reality as they know and persist in. Near the creepy but truth defying blackhole was something much more familiar.
There was a man. A boy, to be exact.
Nearly in his teenage years, he wears a signifying black shirt, with an emblem of a white crescent sun in the centre. He wore faded out jeans, arranging in an array of distant, fading blue, all the way down to the bottom, where the colour has been completely dissipated. Beneath his feet were a cluster of dead leaves, piled in a tight mountain. He was brushing himself off at that point.
With the information that they have, they persisted no more. It was already to feat to spy a damn portal, but a person manning it? Inexplicably amazing! And with that knowledge, they seemed that it was feasible to stop, before getting caught. Twilight, who was in shock, and excitement; or was it fear? She didn’t know. Well, enough said, she was leaping.
“Girls! You have to see this! It’s amazing!”
Rarity, being the fashionista she is, got up and asked her about the situation behind.
“What’s amazing?”
“There was this amazing portal-like hole thingy, and oh my gosh, there was somebody operating it! I think. Well, to be fair, That’s what I saw. Heheh.”
Fluttershy, became concerned in the talk. “Could we maybe speak about this somewhere else than here? I don’t want him to know we’re here.”
The girls shrugged at the point, giving a mental note, and shook their heads in unison. Then, by pure coincidence, voices were made. Not by them, no, it was more masculine, but has a scent of feminism. It was shared, and melodic.
There was nobody that had that kind of vocal chord. It was substantially loud, loud enough for them to hear it, albeit the loud vacuum like ample.
“What’s taking them so long? Division 4, where are you?”
They turned their focus to the place where the said portal was located. Obviously it came from there. No wonder. Pinkie held a thought in mind, and decided to share the said thought.
“What Division?” She asked the girls. They didn’t respond. They couldn’t.
“Who’s there?” Said the anonymous voice. It was sharp, as if he meant to shout, but decided to back off that idea. Instantly the girls felt an immediate emotion of fear. What if this person is dangerous? Equestrian? Has magical properties? He did theoretically came out of a portal, after all. Is it bold for them to assume things that were out of the ordinary?
Slowly, the teenager creeps out of the alleyway, gently yet handling a stance, not breaking it in any cost. His left side had been slightly edged back, letting his right side of the body in front. His hands were positioned at his chest level; positively staying that way. He approached the girls with care and delicate footwork.
The girls, in response, backed up a little, only to stay where they are, grinning tightly and aggressively. There’s no way this person is capable of hostility. If he were to be a person of such descendants, then he would have just approached with full force, and charged the attack when they least expected it.
The teenager soon spoke, with a tune and harsh voice.
“Who are you?”
Nobody replied. He looked around, clearly in some type of amazement, or confusion.
“What is this place?” He edged spontaneously.
Again, nobody answered. This gets the teenager quite aggravated.
“Answer!” He pressed.
Before anyone could protest, Twilight came up and confidently raised a few words, stepping forward a few steps.
“Before that, I would like you to answer my answers.”
Looking down, the teenager gives a loud sigh, and raised his head. His decision was split second, knowing it’s useless to protest.
“Fine.”
Just before Twilight and the others could relax, something came up on their ears. It was the sound of rumbling. Big rumbling. Like thunder striking at 10 times the force. This, made them shiver. But for the teenager that they just found, it was an ordinary plot. He exchange glances, changing them to the location of the noise, which, coincidentally, was at the portal.
“Shit.” He hissed.
He aggressively move forward, approaching the alleyway. He flicked his right hand, and held it out, shoulder level. Unexpectedly, came a blinding flash of white, sparkling light, looking like a visible firefly, but this time in a different colour. It flashed even brighter than before, displaying an anarchy of power and potential, as the girls can reciprocate. It glowed so much to the point it was like a head of a pin.
With that done, he lets out his hand even wider, like he was about to snatch a airborne object. But, that’s not the case here. Came from the blinding flash, was an even brighter array of white, one that literally blinded the girls, to the point that they had to cover their very own eyes. Then, as soon as it bursts, it stops. Slowly, came an image of a crescent dagger, blue in colour, with it’s handle showing details of arced out lines and swirls. It has a little bit of cloth sticked up on the tip of the handle, stabbed deep inside the blade of the knife. It looks more like a karambit then anything else. It falls right into his hand, where he just immediately scoops it up.
The boy however, doesn’t flinch. The others do. He just approaches the alleyway even faster and rapid.
The girls, at this point, were as eager to know what the hell is happening, rather than try to get away from it. They followed him from behind. With curiosity in the mix, Pinkie came up to him, asking a question they all should have minutes ago.
“What are you doing?”
To which he replies very quickly. His tone not even descent to okay, or someone would say it, normal.
“Sombra’s army. They’re here.”

Sorry for the long haul. I went into a debating tournament, so that took most of the time and excuse. I’ll try to make it up, again.

Interlude; Assault At The Canopy
Rainbow rushed towards the tighten wall that Sombra’s division created, and broke it with little to no effort, making their formation in a hell of a mess. Her sword was like a musketeer’s gear; but more material added onto the width of said sword and decreased thickness. The sides curve towards the tip of the equipment, all while being forged in undisputed, hardened, enchanted bronze.
The fight against the division has just started, up upon the cursed land that they always called back in the old days, The Canopy. That’s due to the cliffs and mountains that surround this empty land of theirs, which does so in full 360 degrees, high enough that it practically shades them from any sunlight or vision.
Why is it called a cursed land? Well, back when the war literally just began, this piece of soil became the main centrepiece for scouts, who claimed this part of Equestria. Nobody dared to protest this. Not even the almighty princesses, before their downfall struct the nation, and possibly, the world. Not only that, but it’s one of the main routes that link to most of the underground mines and caverns, cutting of very valuable resources.
Meaning, they were that dominative. Up until the Crystal Empire took it’s toll on The Canopy.
Sombra, who already had taken over the Crystal Empire, and being the maniac villain he is, started his domain with an attempt on capturing this main hotspot. The Yaks, Saddle Arabians, the Changeling Empire as well as Equestria itself took part in seizing the land, which holds plenty of power and dominance to whoever succeeds to actually seize it in the first place. The only ones not to were the Griffins, due to their nation’s positioning making retreat and convoy impossible.
Multiple troops were sent, equipped with heavy armoury and gear. They fought and tension lasted for an approximation of 2 years, before Sombra sweeps away the playing field, and takes full control of the site.
That fact made Rainbow shiver from her top right down to the spine. They’re in the Crystal Empire’s territory, for Celestia’s sake. Who knows what might be lurking in the depths of the caves, or even the mountain hillside and ranged cliffs. Keep in mind everything inside The Canopy is dark, making it almost impossible to snipe out the hidden troops.
But that doesn’t mean the troopers can’t snipe them.
But she kept attacking. Hostility is the main thing that they need as of now. The more pressure they add, the more the opposing threat will be scared, and rationed. She speeds through each and every single enemy available, and stabs them with her golden brass sword, shining in glory and undisputed victory.
A lightning bolt came striking down right next to her, probably disabling more than a dozen of her men. That she can’t do. She can’t let the enemy eliminate her troops, not like this. She rushes to the fallen heroes with her pegasus wings, right before a haul of magic came whirling towards them.
Luckily, Rainbow was prepared since the very start. She reaches for her pocket, and took out a small crystal, in which the colour of full magenta is displayed in bliss. This, made her smile in content, and also despair.
Twilight, she thought. She had created these mini spells in a somewhat small crystal, making it multiple stacks and piles. She had taken some of them to this hostile point, since she knew that it will become handy. Without hesitation, she looks to the ground, hovering in the air, and throws the crystal very violently. It glows with shining force, and explodes, putting out purple light.
Immediately the magic orb makes contact. It explodes, bringing impact so big and so loud that smoke was being created and spread in the battlefield. The magus, who appears to be right in front of the cloud of smoke which presumably hit the dozen or so men, smiled in content. He did it. Killed them. As he expected to do.
That wasn’t the case.
As the smoke cleared, the magician’s smirk turned to a deep and despairing frown. A purple barrier, as tall as the waves. It shines in translucent colour, and behind it, stands the soldiers in full glory and relieve. They unsheathe their weapons once more, and begin to attack said magician. He died soon after.
Satisfied, Rainbow continued her main mission. To destroy the armada, and attempt to take control of The Canopy. It’s feasible, but very difficult. Her whole army can be wiped out due to some scouts, and that she can’t do. These people that live here, they’re experts at hiding, and precision. One shot, one kill, and they’re seen no more, like fading through smoke.
She takes down a few soldiers here and there, swinging her beloved sword like it’s her second playground. She saw a squad of four, bringing in heavy artillery. She dashes towards them all, and begin them striking Rainbow. For her wings was she able to dodge the strikes. She pierces the breastplate of a soldier, making it’s way through the entire body. Another one decides to jump, and strike her mid air. As the swordsman was about to slash, she parries it, and took the chance to perform a roundhouse. He fell onto his feet, spatting and coughing out blood.
Rainbow thought it was only mercy for her to end the swordsman’s life. She sheath’s her sword first, reached towards his neck, grabbing it tight with her two bare hands. She whispers out two words, them both being the last he will hear, and snaps his neck, clean.
“I’m sorry.”
She always hated killing. Wasn’t really her ‘thing’. But alas, what can you do in a state of war? Sure, she was pretty- or better yet incredibly- good at swordsmanship, being top notch in the entire fleet, even. She never found a fond satisfaction from murder. Hell, why would she? One’s life is more important than anything the world can provide.
Well, that’s what she thought, of course.
Coming back to her senses, she hears the cocking of a crossbow. Immediately she soared into the air, just before a bolt could be fired by the soldier. Once flying, she did a particularly speedy nosedive to the ground, at speeds even the archer at the ground could see as physics breaking. She fires an arrow towards Rainbow, but she used her sword to block it.
Rainbow then went fir the kill, as she slices the neck of the archer. Blood spurts out from her like a flash flood, the soil underneath being coated and soaked with it. Without any sign of life in her eyes, she slumps to the ground, hard. Now, with nobody manning the heavy artillery, Rainbow can be sure that their armada will have little trouble clearing out the already little resistance.
As that happens, they begin to retreat into the outskirts of The Canopy. It was for the best. From a couple hundred, turned into just 2 to 3 dozen. There was just too little man power to fight, and they know, their deaths won’t bear any fruit. Not know. If they can make it out alive, then another retaliation will become their revenge.
Eyeing a small gap in between to big mountainside cliffs, they split up, and a dozen of the men move into the said gap. Of course, it won’t be easy. Rainbow, leading her division, charges up front, breaking the line of defence Sombra’s army had just created with a few of the soldiers. They fought hard, but went down under throned.
The rest sprint towards the light outside of The Canopy, and Rainbow just couldn’t let happen without a fight of her own. Stabbing one of the men at the back lines, she pierces it out of the fallen soldier, and aim for the squadron up front. She soars her way to the edge of the exit, preparing to take down half a dozen men countering her.
Suddenly, before Rainbow and her division could even react, a sudden sound of an explosion ring the ears of both Sombra’s armada, and Rainbow’s. It didn’t sound like an explosion, no, it was more like an air canister bursting due to high pressure. She eyes the back of The Canopy, only to realise smoke being disputed into the air, covering most of the vision.
Fearing the lives of her men, she rushes back, seeing what’s wrong. Her army seemed, fatigued. Most of them were already on their haunches, or maybe their knees. Some are being supported by their blades, other’s not so lucky. Soon, she sees one by one of her armada collapse, eyes closed shut.
Then she felt the sudden wave of drowsiness wash her over, making her eyes droop and her arms weak. Her wings seem like they’ve been flapping for over a decade, and all she wants is to stop. Her legs are like heavy and big boulders, pulling her to the soil.
Her eyes became heavier and heavier by the second. She has already placed herself to the orange earth beneath, not a care or a certain problem in the world. She doesn’t need to think of anything. Mostly, thinking was too hard.
Maybe it’s time for a rest.
She agreed to that term with full confidence and joy.
She closes her eyes with grace, and drops dead, quietly snoring. Her sword sits right next to her, the wielder not holding it.
Out of nowhere came a voice. One masculine and heavy. He speaks towards Sombra’s division from the top of one hillside, his face and body undetectable. The army realises this, and glances to the location of said voice.
“Why must you guys have all the fun? We wanna duo. Besides, we helped you out. Care to take us in?”
In turn, Sombra’s division smirks.
They knew from the start, it was going to be a good alliance.
