//-------------------------------------------------------// A Heated Conversation -by Evictus- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Debate //-------------------------------------------------------// The Debate Twilight was sitting on a lawn chair outside by her castle in Ponyville as she was enjoying the nice weather in that area in Equestria. As she enjoyed the nice weather outside she heard someone's footsteps she turned her head to the side and saw Scotaloo coming up to her. "Hey Scootaloo! I dont get visited by you often...did you just get out of school early? Twilight asked with confusion as the school in Ponyville was not supposed to close that day. "I didn't go to school it was canceled due to the flue spreading everywhere." Scootaloo explained. This only made Twilight want ask why kids werent getting vaccinated then but decided not to ask as she wanted to know what Scootaloo had to say to her. Twilight motioned her to sit by her which she did. Scootaloo was silent for a while and it made both of them feel awkward so Twilight spoke. "I'm shocked your friends aren't here! You three are nearly inseparable...is there something wrong?" Twilight asked. Scootaloo took a deep sigh. "Your going to find this very ridiculous." Scootaloo began as they sat by Twilight's castle. Twilight smiled and shook her head as she couslbr believe Scootaloo would yhibm that about her. "I probably wont. I'm more understanding of stuff than you think even if I'm older than you...did you do school?" Twilight asked as she furrowed her brow as it sounded to me that Scootaloo was going through a difficult time but she hoped that it wasnt the case though. Scootaloo took a glance at her and then looked away as she tried to form the right words to say. Scootaloo was nervous. She didnt think she could go through with telling Twilight about how she was truly like. She sighed as she decided to get it over with. "Twilight...I'm not like other girls...I've always liked manlier stuff, I dont usually paint my nails or wanted to have my hair pretty...I'm a tomboy Twilight...I feel so unnatural! I cant believe I'm doing such a sinful thing! I need help in getting to be girly you need to get someone to help me!" Scootaloo said as she began to cry as she waited for Twilight to belittle her. Scootaloo knew she would have to leave Ponyville forever and live as a recluse as no friend of hers would like that she was a tomboy. At the same time however she was goad that she had to say the truth as she didnt want to live under a lie. She already told her other friends and they accepted him but Twilight would probably be different. Soon Twilight spoke. "So what? Theres nothing wrong with being a tomboy Scootaloo." Twilight said. Scootaloo perked up in shock when she heard that as she wasnt prepared for such acceptance. "Wait what?!" Scootaloo exclaimed as she watched the princess with shock. Twilight watched her expression and shrugged. "Yeah. Being a tomboy is completely natural, girls dont have to play with girl toys or paint their nails. This is a free society you can be whatever you want." Twilight said. Scootaloo got upset when she heard this she stood up and confronted Twilight. "But that's not right! Pink is for girls and blue is for boys! That's how its always been!" Scootaloo ranted. Twilight wanted to slam her head against her head against a desk when she heard that. It was the most stupidest thing she had ever heard. "That's idiotic, theres no written rule that declares that men need to be manly and women need to be girly! Whoever is telling you that needs to shut up because what your saying is completely ridiculous. Tom boys and Tom girls are like everybody else in Equestria and they are entitled to the rights like all others people. Rainbow Dash is a tomboy!!" Twilight exclaimed. Scootaloo frowned "But...my classmates say that its unacceptable! Their right arent they?" Scootaloo argued, Twilight sighed. "Them saying it doesng mean it's true, theres nothing wrong with being a tomboy! Stop trying to repress yourself and embrace this part of you you!" Twilight ranted. As Scootaloo heard this she realised that her argument was failing. "But aren't tomboys gay!? I'm a tomboy and I'm straight... that's not right." Scootaloo said. "How are all tomboys gay? Girls who like boy activities and boys clothes dont make them gay. Being gay is where someone is attracted to the same gender while a tomboy is a girl who likes boyish stuff. Besides there's nothing wrong with being gay." Twilight explained. With an exasperated and annoyed tone. "I refuse to believe it! Scootaloo exclaimed with Resistance. Twilight shrugged. "You shouldn't, you should be your true self. Your acting like tomboys are unnatural. Stop projecting and stay away from those bigoted views." Twilight said. But people all over Equestria dont like the idea of tomboys...its not even socially acceptable because its wrong." Scootaloo said. Twilight felt like she wanted to rip her hair out but remained calm and took a deep breath "Those people are a bigoted minority, tomboyism isn't a harmful crime, there are things in Equestria that are unnatural but tomboyism isnt one of those." Twilight exclaimed as she hoped that Scootaloo would finally be convinced. "Are...are you sure?" Scootsloo asked. Twilight nodded. "I'm sure." Twilight said. Scootaloo saw what the time was so she got up. "Thank you Twilight...I'll thinkover about what I heard." Scootsloo said. Twilight was ecstatic when she heard this. She hoped that Scootdloo would conclude that tomboys arent bad. "Your welcome, I'll see you later." Twilight said. Scootaloo hugged Twilight and went home while Twilight went inside her castle. While she was going home she realized how right Twilight was. "When she puts it like that being a tomboy or a Tom girl isnt all that bad." Scootsloo said. Scootaloo thought over Twilights words during he rest of the walk in Ponyville. She finally decided to embrace her tomboyish self. She was glad that Twilight had taken it well and was so accepting of it. Scootaloo came to except it once she got home. She never thought of tomboys in a negative way ever again.
