Chapters The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were already in their homes, they heard that the two princesses had a school of gifted unicorns. They asked to their parents many times so they could sign up. And the parents left and went to school to enroll. When the parents returned they said they could attend, but they would have to pass a test.
It was already the next day, and the two fowls were waiting to be called to the rooms to take the test.
“Hi, Twilight”, greeted Sunset Shimmer.
“Hi, Sunset”, greeted Twilight Sparkle.
“Did you come for the test?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“yes”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“Sunset Shimmer, enter the room one”, asked a unicorn before showing the way to the test room.
“Good luck”, told Twilight Sparkle to Sunset Shimmer.
“Thank you”, said Sunset Shimmer before going after the unicorn.
“Twilight Sparkle, enter room three”, asked another unicorn before showing the way.
Twilight Sparkle took a deep breath before following the stallion.
Sunset Shimmer entered the room and saw that the table in front of her had a vase and a seed, “Mrs. Sunset, you must make this seed grow”, said a unicorn.
“This is going to be easy,” said Sunset Shimmer with a smile. “I’ll use a spell of growth”
Sunset Shimmer placed the seed in the vase before casting the spell and the plant grew to the ceiling and pierced.
The judges were impressed, “I’m going to call the princesses to come here”, said a unicorn before picking up a feather and parchment to write.
Sunset Shimmer smiled at that, she has probably passed and now the princesses are going to come here to make her a student.
Twilight Sparkle entered the room and saw that it had three unicorns with clipboards, a earth pony brought a purple egg and green balls, “Mrs. Sparkle, you must shock this egg”, said one of the unicorns with clipboards.
Twilight Sparkle took a deep breath before attempting to use her magic and ended up leaving only sparks, she tried several times but ended up failing.
“I’m sorry for making you waste your time”, said Twilight Sparkle sitting on her haunches.
Suddenly, a supersonic rainbow blast came and magic came from the horn of Twilight Sparkle and went up to the egg, resulting in the egg hatching and a baby dragon being born. Twilight Sparkle has lost control of her magic.
Outside, Celestia and Luna saw an adult dragon in the ceiling.
“What’s going on in there?” asked Luna.
“I don’t know, we’d better see what’s going on”, said Celestia before entering the school.
Luna went after Luna and saw a unicorn coming up to Luna and bowing, “Your Majesty, Sunset Shimmer was able to make the seed grow, would you like to go and see it?” asked the unicorn.
“Yes”, replied Luna.
Luna followed the unicorn to the room where Sunset Shimmer was coming in and saw Sunset Shimmer sitting on the floor in her hips, waiting, Luna smiled and went to Sunset Shimmer, “Sunset Shimmer”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna excited, “oh, hi, princess”, greeted Sunset Shimmer.
“I was informed that you made the plant grow using a growth spell, and I must admit, you have potential,” said Luna. “Tell me, Sunset, would you like to be my student?”
Sunset Shimmer was surprised by what Luna said, “yes!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer happily.
Luna looked at the flank of Sunset Shimmer and saw a Cutie Mark of a setting sun, “Sunset, you got your Cutie Mark”, said Luna with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer looked at her flank and saw her Cutie Mark, and smiled, “my Cutie Mark!”
“Let’s find Celestia, then I’ll show you your room in the castle”, said Luna.
“Yes, Princess”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Celestia entered the room and saw Twilight Sparkle floating while her eyes were gleaming white. She went to the filly and put on a comforting hoof in Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle turned and saw Celestia smiling at her. The eyes of Twilight Sparkle returned to normal and she returned to the ground, “Twilight Sparkle”, began Celestia.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to ...”, said Twilight Sparkle before being interrupted.
“I have never encountered a unicorn with its innate abilities”, said Celestia.
“Huh?” asked Twilight Sparkle confused.
“I would like you to become my student here at school”, said Celestia.
“Huh ?!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle in surprise at what Celestia said.
“Do you accept it?” asked Celestia.
“Yes !!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully in the air.
“Another thing, Twilight”, said Celestia.
“Huh?” asked Twilight Sparkle before falling to the floor.
Celestia approached Twilight Sparkle and pointed at Cutie Mark. It was a pink six pointed star around five stars.
“My Cutie Mark!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully before starting to jump around Celestia shouting ‘Yes’ without stopping.
"I see someone was happy to receive your Cutie Mark", said Luna at the door with Sunset Shimmer at her side.
"Hi Luna," greeted Celestia before looking at Sunset Shimmer. "Is Sunset Shimmer your student?"
"Yes, she is", replied Luna with a smile.
"And Twilight Sparkle is my student", said Celestia with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle looked at each other with smiles, knowing they are now princess pupils.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were unicorn filly. Their early names had different meanings and was related to day and night, 'Twilight' was the initial name of Twilight Sparkle, and was related to the dawn, the end of the night and the beginning of the day. Now, the name 'Sunset', was the opposite, had relation with the dusk, the end of the day and the beginning of the night. But hers last name was very similar.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were with their parents at the Summer Sun Celebration. For Twilight Sparkle, it was her favorite holiday. As for Sunset Shimmer, it wasn't her favorite. Twilight Sparkle had a smile on her face as she walked with her parents at the festival, while Sunset Shimmer had a neutral face.
Twilight Sparkle saw Sunset Shimmer and Sunset Shimmer saw Twilight Sparkle, they approached to talk. "Hi, my name's Sunset Shimmer, and yours?" presented Sunset Shimmer.
"Hi Sunset Shimmer, my name's Twilight Sparkle." presented Twilight Sparkle.
"What do you think of the festival?" asked Sunset Shimmer.
"I'm loving it! I love this festival!" exclamed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully with a smile as she jumped like a happy filly.
"Really? I don't like it so much." Sunset Shimmer gave her opinion, she hoped what she said didn't upset Twilight Sparkle.
"Oh, why not?" asked Twilight Sparkle, she wasn't upset, she just wanted to know why Sunset Shimmer didn't like the festival.
"It's because i'm not much of a fan of long days, i prefer the Winter Moon Celebration," replied Sunset Shimmer.
"Oh," realized Twilight Sparkle. "I also like this festival, besides I love the night, but I like the Summer Sun Celebration more"
Suddenly the parents of Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer called on a multitude of ponies. "Princess Celestia will raise the sun and Princess Luna will lower the moon, come here!"
"We're going!" exclaimed Twilight Sparkle before looking at Sunset Shimmer and motioning to follow.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer went to the crowd, they went forward to get a good view of the princesses. The trumpets began to play and appeared the two princesses of Equestria, Celestia and Luna. Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia with admiration, while Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna with admiration as well. Luna stood up and as she lowered the moon, Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna with admiration as she saw Luna lowering the moon. This done, it was Celestia's turn to rise and make the sun rose, Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia with admiration as she watched Celestia raise the sun. After that, the two princesses stared at the crowd as they clapped their hooves, Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle looked at the princesses as they smiled.
When all the ponies left to enjoy the longest day, Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle talked about the princesses, "did you see how Princess Luna lowered the moon? It was incredible!" said Sunset Shimmer excitedly.
"Luna?" asked Twilight Sparkle before smiling. "Did you see how Celestia raised the sun?!"
What the fillys didn't know was that Celestia and Luna were listening to what Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were talking about they, "that lavender unicorn filly loved how I raised the sun", said Celestia with a smile as she stared at the Twilight Sparkle by far.
"No pony ever admired my moon, I think that orange unicorn likes my night and my moon," said Luna with a smile as she tried to hold back the tears of happiness.
"Tell me, Luna," said Celestia looking at Luna now. "How about we make these two fillys our students?"
"I liked that idea!" exclaimed Luna cheerfully.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Luna and Sunset Shimmer were in a hallway. Sunset Shimmer was looking at the decor of the hallway while she and Luna walked in the hall. Suddenly, Luna stopped and opened a door, “this's your room, Sunset”, said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer entered the room, staring with admiration, “did you like it?” asked Luna with a smile.
“I love it, princess”, replied Sunset Shimmer with a smile on her face.
Luna smiled at the answer.
Twilight Sparkle and Celestia were walking in the same corridor where Luna and Sunset Shimmer were walking. Celestia stopped and opened the bedroom door, “This is your room, Twilight”, said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle entered the room with a smile as she admired her room that was going to stay before looking at Celestia, “thank you, princess”, thanked Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
“You’re welcome, my student”, said Celestia with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were already in their rooms, and it was already night, Luna had already raised the moon and Twilight Sparkle was in her room reading the books she had on the bedroom bookcase, until she heard a knock on the door, “Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are waiting for you to dinner”, replied the guard of Celestia at the door.
Twilight Sparkle stopped reading and she left her books in bed to continue her reading afterwards after.
Twilight Sparkle was at the door of the dining room, she took a deep breath, before smiling and opened the door. She realized that Luna, Sunset Shimmer and her Celestia were already at the table eating. Luna and Sunset Shimmer were sitting side by side.
Twilight Sparkle ran to her mentor to sit beside her. Celestia heard footsteps and looked down and saw Twilight Sparkle running up to her in panic-stricken, “am I late?” asked Twilight Sparkle in a panic.
“No, my student, we just got the food, sit down with me”, replied Celestia with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle’s expression calmed down and she sat down next to Celestia. Twilight Sparkle looked at her soup before picking up the spoon and starting to eat.
“Sunset, what do you think of the soup?” asked Luna looking at Sunset Shimmer eating.
Sunset Shimmer swallowed before answering and looking at Luna, “is very good, princess”, replied Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle, “and you Twilight?” asked Celestia. “Are you enjoying it?”
“Yes, Princess”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
After they finished eating the soup, Celestia went to her bedroom to sleep, Luna went to the dream world, Twilight Sparkle went to her room to continue her reading and Sunset Shimmer went to her bedroom to stand on the balcony of her room looking at the night sky.
Twilight Sparkle took the books from the bed with her magic and read it again the books where she would have stopped.
Twilight Sparkle didn’t realize that time had flown with her reading the books. Twilight Sparkle put the books on the shelf back and fell into a peaceful sleep.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Twilight Sparkle woke up with the sun on her face, she opened her eyes with a smile before getting up and grabbing some books to read. After all, she didn’t want to disappoint Celestia, she wanted to be the best student Celestia ever had. She put the books on the bed and began to read them. After two hours of reading, she heard a knock on the door, “Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are waiting for you for breakfast”, said Celestia’s guard.
Twilight Sparkle sighed, maybe she could continue with her reading after the meal.
Twilight Sparkle opened the door to the dining room and saw that Celestia and Luna were on the table, except Sunset Shimmer that hasn’t appeared yet, Twilight Sparkle felt proud of herself, she arrived before Sunset Shimmer, Surely Celestia would be proud, She came over and sat down next to Celestia, “oh, good morning, my student”, greeted Celestia with a smile.
“Good morning, princess”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Where’s Sunset Shimmer?” asked Luna.
As if to answer, Sunset Shimmer appeared in the door, sleep present on her face, “I’m sorry, princess, but-” yawned Sunset Shimmer. “I stayed up late last night and didn’t sleep as much as I should have, sorry”
Luna smiled, “no problem, Sunset, I’m glad you enjoy my night”
Sunset Shimmer went up to Luna to sit next to her, “what will have for breakfast?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Pancakes!” replied Celestia cheerfully before giving pancakes with faces to each one who was at the table with her magic.
Luna looked at her pancake, “That sounds good, sister”, said Luna with a smile as she stared at her pancake.
“My pancake has a smile”, said Sunset Shimmer staring at her pancake.
Luna looked at the pancake at Sunset Shimmer, “Yeah”
“Do you always make pancakes for your sister, princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle looking at Celestia.
“Yes, Twilight”, replied Celestia.
“That’s very sweet of you”, said Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer swallowed a slice of the pancake before looking at Luna and asking, “Not wanting to be rude, princess, but when will our lessons begin?”
“Today”, replied Luna.
“Are you going to teach us the spells, princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle with a hopeful smile as she looked at Celestia.
“Yes, I’m going to teach you and Luna’s going to teach Sunset Shimmer”, replied Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer started jumping of joy. Celestia and Luna couldn’t stop thinking that their students remembered them much when they were fillies.
Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Luna and Celestia had all finished eating, and they were in the castle garden for their classes. Twilight Sparkle was with Celestia on one side of the garden while Sunset Shimmer and Luna on the other side of the garden, “what spell are you going to teach me, princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle interested.
“The teleportation spell”, replied Celestia.
“How do you do it, princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle curiously.
“You should think about where you want to go and then use your magic to go to the place you thought”, replied Celestia.
“It sounds easy”, said Twilight Sparkle with a smile. “I’ll try”
Twilight Sparkle thought of a spot before using the magic of her horn, the pink aura enveloped her before she teleported alongside Celestia, “I did it, princess!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle excitedly.
“Congratulations, my student, I am proud of you”, said Celestia with a smile.
“And now what do we do? We’re stay watching your sister and Sunset Shimmer or we stayed inside the castle?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Let’s watch from afar,” replied Celestia.
Celestia and Twilight Sparkle sat on their haunches before looking at Sunset Shimmer and Luna from afar.
Sunset Shimmer was trying to teleport, but unfortunately she couldn’t. Why couldn’t she? She was thinking about the place, so why couldn’t she? Sunset Shimmer fell to the ground before rising and looking at Luna with sad eyes, “I can’t, sorry,” said Sunset Shimmer sadly.
Luna embraced Sunset Shimmer with a wing, “don’t be sad, Sunset, not all unicorn magic is equal, your magic ability will develop over time”, said Luna with a benevolent smile.
“Okay”, said Sunset Shimmer now with a small smile on her face.
Luna and Sunset Shimmer suddenly felt the sensation of being watched and looked where Celestia and Twilight Sparkle were. Luna and Sunset Shimmer went to them, “we’re done today, you too?” asked Luna.
“We also broke up, Twilight Sparkle was able to teleport”, replied Celestia before looking at Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer began to worry. Twilight Sparkle Was able to teleport? How? Well, she didn’t want to be the best magic unicorn of all time, but she wanted Luna to be proud of her.
Celestia looked up at the sky, “looks like the end of another day,” replied Celestia. “Twilight, would you like to see me lower the sun?”
“Yes!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully.
“Sunset would you like to see me raise the moon?” asked Luna.
“Yes,” replied Sunset Shimmer with a big smile on her face.
Celestia used her magic to lower the sun, Twilight Sparkle was amazed at this, she always imagined that someday she would be able to raise and lower the sun.
After Celestia lowered the sun, Luna used her magic to lift the moon. Sunset Shimmer can’t help but smile when she saw the moon rise.
When Luna had finished raising the moon, the two unicorn foals clapped their hooves, smiles on their faces. Twilight Sparkle went to Celestia, “that was lovely to see, princess!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully.
Sunset Shimmer went up to Luna, “It was the most beautiful moonrise I’ve ever seen in my entire life”, said Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
Luna couldn’t help but smile at Sunset Shimmer’s words. She really was glad that a pony in Equestria liked her night.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer had already dined and were already in their rooms, Twilight Sparkle took the books she had left in bed and began read again.
Sunset Shimmer was looking at the night sky on the porch, she was so distracted looking she didn’t even see a figure walking up to the balcony of Sunset Shimmer, “I see you really like to stay awake on my night”, said Luna with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna, “oh! Hi princess! Yes, I really like”, said Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
“That’s really good, Sunset”, said Luna before her smile faded.
“Princess? What happened? Was it something I said?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Luna looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Well, Sunset, I want to tell you something”, replied Luna.
“You can talk, I’m listening to you”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“It’s just that never before hasn’t a pony loved my night like you, and I feel grateful for you loving the night I bring”, said Luna.
“Thank you, Princess,” replied Sunset Shimmer. “Actually, it was obvious that I like your night, after all, my name is related to the night”
Luna laughed cheerfully, “Yes, Sunset”, agreed Luna.
“Is it your duty to just raise and lower the moon?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
Luna shook her head. “No, I must protect the ponies from nightmares too”, replied Luna.
“Wow, how can you do that?” asked Sunset Shimmer.
“I have to enter the world of dreams”, replied Luna.
“And how can ordinary ponies come into this world?” asked Sunset Shimmer curiously.
“If the pony stays by my side and close his eyes, it’s possible”, replied Luna.
“This is so cool! Can I go see?” asked Sunset Shimmer excitedly.
“Yes, stay on my side and close your eyes,” replied Luna.
Sunset Shimmer approached Luna and closed her eyes. Luna used her magic so she and Sunset Shimmer would enter the dream world. When Luna opened her eyes, she and Sunset Shimmer were already in the dream world. There were several doors in row. Luna looked at Sunset Shimmer and saw that she was still with her eyes closed, “Sunset, you can open your eyes now”, said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer opened her eyes and looked around, “wow”, was all Sunset Shimmer could say.
“Each door has a Cutie Mark of a pony, and each door has a color depending on the state of the pony’s dream”, explained Luna.
“You seem to have a very difficult job”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Yeah, but I’m used to it”, replied Luna.
Sunset Shimmer yawned, “I’d like to go back to the real world to sleep, okay?” asked Sunset Shimmer sleepily. “How do you get out of the dream world?”
“The same thing you do to get in”, replied Luna.
Sunset Shimmer closed her eyes for Luna to use the spell to get out of the dream world, Luna closed her eyes as she used her magic to make her and Sunset Shimmer come out of the dream world. Luna opened her eyes, “ready, Sunset, now you can sleep”, said Luna.
But Sunset Shimmer didn’t respond, “Sunset?” asked Luna worriedly before looking at the floor and seeing Sunset Shimmer sleeping.
Luna smiled before catching Sunset Shimmer with her magic and entering into the Sunset Shimmer room and putting her on the bed and blanketing, “sweet dreams, Sunset”, said Luna in a motherly voice before kissing Sunset Shimmer on her forehead and going to the dreams world.

Sunset Shimmer woke with the sun on her face, she turned sideways so the sun wouldn’t stay on her face, suddenly she heard a knock on the door, knowing who it was, she covered herself with the blanket so that it wasn’t possible heard the sound of beats and could go back to sleep.
“Sunset, are you awake?” asked Luna at the door.
But, Sunset Shimmer didn’t listen because she’d gone back to sleep. Luna opened the door and saw the shape of Sunset Shimmer under the blanket. Smiling, Luna went to Sunset Shimmer to wake her, “my student, wake up”, said Luna as she poked Sunset Shimmer lightly with a hull.
In response, Sunset Shimmer moaned with weariness.
“I understand that you want to sleep more, but we have to eat breakfast”, said Luna.
Sunset shimmer came out from beneath the blanket, tiredness on her face, Luna seemed concerned about her student status, “my student, are you okay?” asked Luna. “You look tired”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna, “Sorry, princess, it’s just that I’m used to waking up late,” replied Sunset Shimmer. “I’m going to wash my face”
“Okay, my student, I’ll be waiting for you here”, replied Luna.
Sunset Shimmer closed the bathroom door, washed her face, wiped her face with the towel and brushed the mane with her brush. When Sunset Shimmer left the bathroom, she saw Luna waiting for her, “Okay, now we can go”, said Sunset Shimmer to Luna.
Luna and Sunset Shimmer entered the dining room and saw that Celestia and Twilight Sparkle were already at the table eating, they sat down before eating the pancakes, Celestia looked at Luna, “why did you take so long to come?” asked Celestia.
Luna looked at Celestia, “Sunset Shimmer was having trouble waking up”, replied Luna.
Celestia nodded in understanding.
“The weekend is tomorrow, what are you planning to do?” asked Luna to Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle.
“I’m planning on spending the weekend with Twilight”, replied Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle hesitated, “but, I was planning this weekend to read”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Twilight Sparkle, “Come on, Twilight, it’s going to be fun”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle thought for a few seconds, “Okay,” said Twilight Sparkle in a defeated way.
“Uhu!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer cheerfully before going up to Twilight Sparkle and hugging her with the front hooves, Twilight Sparkle looked surprised at this.
Suddenly, thunder was heard from the sky, everypony was startled by the noise, “AAAHH!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer startled.
It started raining hard outside the castle, Luna and Celestia went to a window to look at the rain, “well, that was unexpected”, said Luna.
“Certainly”, agreed Celestia.
“What now?” asked Twilight Sparkle. “What we do?”
Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle, “you will not have your lessons today until the rain passes”, replied Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle looked disappointed, “what do you mean, princess?!”
“You and Sunset Shimmer are going to have their classes only on Monday, because tomorrow is the end of the week”, replied Celestia.
“Oh, okay ...” said Twilight Sparkle in a sad tone.
Celestia noticed the expression of Twilight Sparkle, she went to her student and hugged her with a hull, “don’t be sad, my student, you and Sunset Shimmer will continue the classes on Monday, nothing will change”, said Celestia.
Twilight Sparkle managed to cheer up a bit, “oh, okay, princess”, said Twilight Sparkle with a small smile.
Twilight Sparkle was in the library reading, Twilight Sparkle was sitting while reading a book, next to her was a stack of five books. She let out a sigh, knowing it was the only thing she could do. But, a voice came from the library door to disrupt Twilight Sparkle in her reading, “hi, Twilight”, greeted Sunset Shimmer before entering the library.
Twilight Sparkle took her eyes off the book, “hi, Sunset”, greeted Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer sat down in the chair, “Can i read with you?” asked Sunset Shimmer with a shy smile.
“Yes, Sunset”, replied Twilight Sparkle as if that were the silly question anyone had asked her.
Sunset Shimmer left the chair to go to the bookshelves and choose a book to read. Sunset Shimmer found a book and took it with her magic before sitting in the chair and starting to read.
It wasn’t known how much time passed, but, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were still in the library, and they had fallen asleep. Celestia and Luna entered the library and saw their students sleeping.
Celestia went to Twilight Sparkle and held her with her magic, “poor, Twi, she read so much that she had fell asleep”, said Celestia as she looked at Twilight Sparkle.
Luna went to Sunset Shimmer and held her with her magic, “and poor Sunny, who must have read along with Twilight who fell asleep too”, said Luna as she looked at Sunset Shimmer.
“Let’s take them to their rooms”, said Celestia now looking at Luna.
“I agree, sister”, agreed Luna looking now at Celestia.
Celestia and Luna put their students in their beds before leaving the room. Celestia went to her bedroom to sleep, while Luna went to the dream world to protect the ponies from nightmares. Luna closed her eyes as she used her magic to enter the dream world, when she opened her eyes, several doors in rows appeared, Luna noticed that the door with the Cutie Mark of Sunset Shimmer had an aura representing that the pony was having a nightmare. Luna opened the door with her magic and entered the dream of Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset Shimmer was at Canterlot Castle, and Luna and Celestia of the dream were looking at Twilight Sparkle of the dream as they praised her.
“Twilight, you’re the most talented unicorn of all, I’m so proud of you”, said Celestia of the dream with a smile.
“Thank you Celestia, I know”, answered Twilight Sparkle of the dream with a proud smile.
“Twilight, you’re as talented and dedicated as Sunset Shimmer”, said Luna of the dream with a smile.
When Sunset Shimmer heard what Luna of the dream said, she began to cry, she lay down from the abdomen down while she cried.
Twilight Sparkle, Celestia and Luna of the dream went to Sunset Shimmer, when they got very close to her, they began to speak ill of her, ignoring that Sunset Shimmer began to cry even more.
“See this, Sunset?” said Twilight Sparkle from the dream with a wicked grin as she stared at Sunset Shimmer. “I am more talented and dedicated than you”
“You shouldn’t even be here,” said Celestia from the dream with an angry face. “You are a disgrace to the other unicorns”
“Sunset, I’m very disappointed in you,” said Luna from the dream seriously, unaware that Sunset Shimmer was crying even more at her words. “You’re no longer my student, you’re dismissed, FOREVER!”
“That’s enough!” exclaimed a female voice.
Sunset Shimmer opened her eyes and saw that Twilight, Celestia and Luna from the dream had disappeared, she saw that she wasn’t longer in the castle, she looked up at the sky and saw a moon. Suddenly, Luna appeared with a benevolent smile and went to Sunset Shimmer.
“Princess Luna!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer cheerfully before heading to Luna.
“Sunset, I realized you were having a nightmare, tell me how it was”, said Luna.
“It was awful, you and Princess Celestia were praising Twilight because she was more dedicated and talented than I”, said Sunset Shimmer.
Luna nodded, telling Sunset Shimmer to continue.
“So, Twilight, Princess Celestia and you went to me,” tears began to pop out of Sunset Shimmer’s eyes. “Twilight told me she was more talented and dedicated than I was, Princess Celestia said I was a disgrace to the other unicorns, and you ...”
Sunset Shimmer couldn’t stand it and lay down with the abdomen down while crying, “... And you said to me that you were very disappointed with me and that I was dismissed from being your student forever”
Luna couldn’t stand the sight of Sunset Shimmer crying and grabbed her with her hooves to hug her, “calm down, my student, this is just a nightmare, it will not happen”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna, tears still in her eyes, “are you sure, princess?” asked Sunset Shimmer. “You’re not going to be mad at me for not being as talented as Twilight Sparkle is?”
“Of course not, Sunset,” smiled Luna at Sunset shimmer. “You don’t have to be the best to make me proud”
Sunset Shimmer wiped her tears with a hoof, “really, princess?” asked Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
“Yes, Sunset”, replied Luna with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer hugged Luna, happy that Luna would never take her out of her position as a student just because a pony was better than her in magic.
Luna then left the hug and flew out of the dream of Sunset Shimmer, “have good dreams, Sunset”, said Luna before leaving Sunset Shimmer’s dream.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Sunset Shimmer woke up with sunshine on her face, luckily she managed to wake up and get up. Then she remembered something! Today was the weekend. With joy on her face, she left the room and went into the dining room to eat breakfast.
Sunset Shimmer opened the door to the dining room, and saw that Luna was already on the table. With a smile, she walked over to Luna and sat down next to her, Luna looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Good morning, Sunset, did you sleep well?”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna, “yes, princess”
Suddenly, Celestia and Twilight Sparkle appeared and went to the table, “good morning, Luna; good morning Sunset“, greeted Celestia with a smile.
“Good morning, sister”, greeted Luna.
“Are you excited for the weekend?”, asked Celestia.
“I am, Princess”, replied Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
“And you, Twilight?”, asked Celestia looking at Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle stared at the floor, “well, I guess, because I’ll be seeing my family at least ...”
“When you finish eating, pack your things”, said Celestia.
The two fillies nodded.
After Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer finished eating, they went to their rooms to pack their things. Sunset Shimmer was excited to spend the weekend with Twilight Sparkle, when Sunset Shimmer finished packing her things, Luna appeared at the door, a smile on her face, “are you excited for this weekend, Sunset?”, asked Luna.
“Yes, I’m very excited, Princess”, replied Sunset Shimmer with a smile now with her backpack.
“Let’s go to the castle entrance”, said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer followed Luna to the entrance of the castle, she realized that Celestia and Twilight Sparkle were already in the doorway, saying goodbye.
“Bye, Sunset, see you on Monday”, said Luna as she hugged Sunset Shimmer with a hull.
“Goodbye Luna,” said Sunset Shimmer as she hugged Luna with a hull.
Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle left the castle, “So, Twilight, let’s have a slumber party at your house?”, asked Sunset Shimmer with a smile.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Sunset Shimmer, “Yeah, let’s get ready”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were already in the bedroom, and put their backpacks in a corner.
Twilight Sparkle’s bedroom was purple in color, had a bookshelf, a balcony with a telescope, a bed with a blanket with stars and moons, and a purple star-lamp.
“Wow, your room is beautiful”, said Sunset Shimmer with admiration.
“Thank you, Sunset”, thanked Twilight Sparkle before picking up a book from the bookshelf and beginning to read it.
Sunset Shimmer continued to look around, astonished at everything Twilight Sparkle had in her room.
Sunset Shimmer went to the bookcase, “Twilight, can I get a book to read?”, asked Sunset Shimmer looking at Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle took her eyes off the book to respond, “make yourself comfortable, Sunset”
Sunset Shimmer took a book with her magic, before lying down on the bed to start reading.
“Lunch time!”, called Twilight Velvet.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer took their eyes off the books, Twilight Sparkle jumped out of bed before picking up the books and putting them back on the shelf.
“Come on, Sunset”, said Twilight Sparkle with a smile before stepping out of the bedroom door.
Sunset Shimmer jumped out of bed and followed Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Velvet put the food on the table, before serving Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle.
“What do you two plan to do this afternoon?”, asked Twilight Velvet as she served.
“I’m going to the library to return one book and get another, do you want to come with me, Sunset?”, asked Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Twilight Sparkle, “yes”
After everypony had finished their lunch, Twilight Sparkle went to her mother who was washing the dishes, “Mom, me and Sunset can we go to the library?”, asked Twilight Sparkle with a big smile.
“Of course, my dear”, replied Twilight Velvet before returning to her task.
Twilight Sparkle put a backpack with books and went to the door and opened it with a hoof, “come, Sunset”
Sunset Shimmer got out of the chair, and went to Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were walking the streets of Canterlot, Twilight Sparkle was reading the book she brought in her purse, Sunset Shimmer was curious, “what's the name of the book you’re reading?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle stopped their reading, “the butterfly and the caterpillar”
“Are you going to return it to the library?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer finally arrived in the library, Sunset Shimmer opened the door, “after you”
As a request for Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle came in first and went to a mare who was at a table, “i came to return this book”
The mare took the book with her magic, “fine, you can get another book”, she said.
Twilight Sparkle went up to the bookshelves to look for a book, Sunset Shimmer just kept watching, she wasn’t going to take any book to read, she wasn’t much of a fan of reading, but she respected Twilight Sparkle for liking it.
“I found it!”, exclaimed Twilight Sparkle as she took a book from the shelf with its magic.
“Did you find what?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
“A book to help with our slumber party”, replied Twilight Sparkle before showing the book to Sunset Shimmer.
“Wow, this is going to be very useful”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“I know, it’s going to be the best slumber party ever!”, exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully as she clapped her hooves.
It was already dark, and Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were already in their bedroom in their pajamas. Twilight Sparkle wore dark blue pajamas with moons and stars, while Sunset Shimmer wore red pajamas with light red suns.
“What do we do first?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle read in the book, “here says we should do makeup”
Sunset Shimmer hesitated, “but we’re fillies, will not it give allergy?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Sunset Shimmer, “but, we should do what’s in the book to make the party perfect”
“Twilight, just because we’re not going to do something that’s in the book, doesn’t mean that the slumber party will not be good”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Yeah, you’re right ...”, said Twilight Sparkle sadly as she stared at the floor.
Sunset Shimmer noticed the sadness in Twilight Sparkle, “don’t be sad, what’s next?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at the book, “horror stories”
Twilight Sparkle switched off the lights, turned on her lamp, and set the lamp on the floor.
“Would you like to start or should I start?”, asked Twilight Sparkle to Sunset Shimmer.
Sunset Shimmer thought for a few seconds before replying, “you start”
Twilight Sparkle nodded before beginning her story, “One night, in a forest, two ponies have gathered to camp ...”
Sunset Shimmer was listening to the story as she lay on the floor.
“... but it wasn’t an ordinary forest, this forest was haunted ...” said Twilight Sparkle in a frightening way. “... By the Mare-without-head”
Sunset Shimmer didn’t know why, but she started to get scared.
“And when the ponies looked back ...” paused Twilight Sparkle dramatically. “... The mare-without-head devoured them!”
Sunset Shimmer now got confused, “wait, how did the mare-without-head devour them if she even hasn’t head?”
“It’s up to your imagination, Sunset”,Twilight Sparkle replied in a frightening way.
Sunset Shimmer was frightened, but soon composed, “now it’s my turn”
Twilight Sparkle gave the lamp to Sunset Shimmer tell the story.
“In a school where all unicorns study, there was a bathroom ...”, began Sunset Shimmer telling the story. “... where a unicorn of white color and yellow mane, was in the bathroom, missing the lesson ...”
Twilight Sparkle, unlike Sunset Shimmer, wasn't afraid of these stories because she knew it was all a lie and that none of it existed.
“... one day, when she was in the bathroom missing class ...” paused Sunset Shimmer dramatically. “... She slipped and died!”
“So what? That’s it?”, asked Twilight Sparkle.
“No, she started haunting all the bathrooms that had in Equestria ...” replied Sunset Shimmer in a frightening way. “... And says that if you pull the discharge three times and look directly into the mirror, you can see her spirit, and you know what happened next?”
Twilight Sparkle shook her head.
“She kills you!”, Sunset Shimmer turned off the lamp.
Twilight Sparkle was scared, it wasn't because the story scared her, but because Sunset Shimmer turned off the lamp light. Not to say she’s afraid of the dark, it’s because she had a hunch that Sunset Shimmer was going to scare her, “Sunset? Where are you?", asked Twilight Sparkle now afraid of being scared.
The lights went on, and Twilight Sparkle saw that her blanket was on top of Sunset Shimmer, “AAAAHHH!”, shouted Twilight Sparkle before fleeing behind the scared bed.
Sunset Shimmer took the blanket from under her before laughing, “you should have seen your face, Twilight”
Twilight Sparkle came out from behind the bed angrily, “Sunset, don't do this to me, that wasn't funny!”
“Sorry, Twilight, I couldn't resist”, apologized Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle took the book to see what was the next step, “food”
As if to respond, they smelled delicious food coming from the kitchen, “hmmm, noodles”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Let’s sit down at the dinner table”, sayTwilight Sparkle to Sunset Shimmer before leaving the room.
Sunset Shimmer followed Twilight Sparkle to the living room, where the table was, they sat in the chairs.
“I see you smelled the food too, right?”, asked Night Light.
“Yes, Dad”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer had already finished dinner and were back in the room, “what’s next?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle looked at the book, “truth or dare”
“Who starts?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Me”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“Do you want to ask or do?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
“I want to do”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“Truth or dare?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
“True”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“Is it true that you like the night?”, asked Sunset Shimmer.
“Yes,” replied Twilight Sparkle. “Now me, truth or dare?”
Sunset Shimmer thought, “truth”
“Is it true that you usually stay up late?”, asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes,” replied Sunset Shimmer. “And now? What is the next?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at her book, “pillow war”
Sunset Shimmer took a pillow with her magic before playing Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle took her eyes off the book before starting to throw pillows at Sunset Shimmer. Sunset Shimmer managed to dodge all the pillows that Twilight Sparkle was playing. After a while, they got tired and went to sleep. Twilight Sparkle on her bed and Sunset Shimmer on her sleeping mattress that she brought to sleep.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Sunset Shimmer woke with the sun on her face, she moaned with exhaustion as she covered herself with the blanket of her sleeping bag.
“Wake up, Sunset!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle humorously as she poked Sunset Shimmer with a hull.
But in response, Sunset Shimmer moaned and didn’t come out from under her blanket.
“Come on, Sunset”, said Twilight Sparkle still cheerful. “Wake up, it’s a beautiful day!”
“Let me sleep, Twilight”, replied Sunset Shimmer tiredly.
Twilight Sparkle thought for a few seconds, before pulling the blanket with its magic, “no”
Sunset Shimmer got out of bed, “you’re evil”
“I’m not evil, I just want everypony to enjoy the day that Celestia brings”, said Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were on the table, Twilight Sparkle was eating a hay sandwich while Sunset Shimmer drank coffee to stay awake.
After Sunset Shimmer finished taking her cafe, she told Twilight Sparkle, “would you like to spend the day with me at my house, since I passed in yours?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Sunset Shimmer confused, “I thought you were going to spend this whole weekend with me in my house”
“Yes, but would you like to come to my house?” replied Sunset Shimmer hopefully.
Twilight Sparkle stroked her chin, “okay, Sunset, but only after I finish eating”
After Twilight Sparkle finished eating her sandwich, they left and went to the door to get out. Twilight Sparkle closed the door of her house with her magic.
“Is your house too far away?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“A little”, replied Sunset Shimmer sadly.
Twilight Sparkle had an idea, “i know! Let’s teleport to you home!”
Sunset Shimmer was worried, “i don’t know how to teleport yet”
“Don’t worry, i know how to teleport, Sunset”, said Twilight Sparkle.
“Teleporting makes unicorns feel dizzy or even nauseous?” asked Sunset Shimmer concerned.
“No, but if the unicorn is too new and he doesn’t know how to teleport, it’s not recommended to do it”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
“So you better not teleport me to my house, i don’t know how to teleport myself”, said Sunset Shimmer.
“Why don’t you try and get us teleported to your house?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“It’s worth a try”, said Sunset Shimmer before using her magic to try to teleport.
Twilight Sparkle was on the side of Sunset Shimmer, waiting to see the result. Suddenly the turquoise aura of Sunset Shimmer enveloped both and they teleported themselves to the house of Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle who had already become accustomed to teleporting said with a big smile, “this was amazing, Sunset!”
Sunset Shimmer looked at her house, “Did i get what i think i got?”
“Yes, Sunset, you managed to teleport!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle cheerfully.
Sunset Shimmer was surprised and happy about it. She couldn’t wait to tell Luna the moment she teleported.
Sunset Shimmer was already in her room along with Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle can’t do anything but notice that the parents of Sunset Shimmer were not at home, she wondered if the parents of Sunset Shimmer worked all day, “Sunset, where are your parents? Do they work all day?”
Sunset Shimmer lowered her head, tears began to come out of her eyes, “Sunset are you okay? Was it something i said?” asked Twilight Sparkle worriedly.
Sunset Shimmer raised her head, tears still in her eyes, “my parents aren’t here because they always travel and leave me alone every day”
Twilight Sparkle embraced Sunset Shimmer with the front hooves, “please don’t cry, Sunset”
“The reason they didn’t travel at the Summer Sun Celebration was because it was an important Celebration,” said Sunset Shimmer with more tears. “And they will only come back at the next Equestrian Celebration”
Twilight Sparkle can’t do anything but feel sorry for Sunset Shimmer, she would never have imagined that there would be such parents as these in life, “is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”
“No, I’ll soon forget that”, replied Sunset Shimmer, now wiping her tears with a helmet.
Twilight Sparkle brought up the book they used at their slumber party, “I’m going to return the book we used at the slumber party to the library, do you want to come with me?”
“Okay, Twilight”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle returned the book, and spent some time in the library choosing which book to take home to read. Sunset Shimmer sat in a chair as she thought about her life she had. Sunset Shimmer wanted to have a family like Twilight Sparkle, who always stayed with her when she needed and always supported.
“Sunset? Are you okay?“ asked Twilight Sparkle noting that Sunset Shimmer was now crying.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Twilight Sparkle, “oh, yes, I have to go, goodbye”
Sunset Shimmer got up from the chair and ran out of the library with tears still in her eyes as she was out of the library, she teleported to her room.
It isn’t known how long Sunset Shimmer wept, it was already night and she had fallen asleep.
Sunset Shimmer woke up and saw that she was in the living room of her house, she went to her parents’ room, the light was on and her parents were packing.
“Mom? Dad? Why are you packing?“ asked Sunset Shimmer, entering the room.
The mother of Sunset Shimmer looked at her daughter, “we’re going on vacation, we just came back to the Winter Moon Celebration”
“Again? Can’t you stay with me for at least a week?“ asked Sunset Shimmer sadly.
Sunset Shimmer’s dad took his eyes off his suitcase, “Sunset, enough! We’re going on vacation and that’s it!”
Sunset Shimmer sat on her haunches as she cried. She couldn’t believe her parents only thought of them, not of her. Why couldn’t she have an attentive family like Twilight Sparkle?
Sunset Shimmer realized that the scenery changed and a moon appeared in the sky and Luna appeared with a benevolent smile, Sunset Shimmer realized that everything was just a dream.
“Princess Luna!” Sunset Shimmer went to her mentor to hug her.
“Sunset, i realized you were having a nightmare, tell me how it was”, said Luna as she hugged her student.
“It was the worst dream I ever had, Princess,” said Sunset Shimmer trying to hold back her tears. “I woke up in the living room of my house, i saw that my parents’ room was with the light on, when i entered my mother told me that they were going on vacation and were only going to return to the Winter Moon Celebration”
Luna caressed the mane of Sunset Shimmer, “don’t worry, Sunset, i’m sure your parents like you”
But the tears of Sunset Shimmer said otherwise.
“Sunset? Why are you crying?“ asked Luna worried.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna, “my family always goes on vacation, i always go home alone, and only come back to a celebration that you and your sister appear, i wanted to have a family like Twilight Sparkle, while Twilight has a family who loves her and i don’t have anyone to love me "
Sunset Shimmer having said that, she let go and began to cry even more. Luna can only have pity, sorrow and understanding for what Sunset Shimmer was going through. She even started to imagine that Sunset Shimmer would be the next Luna and Twilight Sparkle the next Celestia. She wanted to do something to please her student, and she knew how.
“Sunset, i understand what you’re going through, in the past, i wanted to be loved like my sister, but i didn’t let that upset my duties as a princess,” said Luna. “Sunset, i have a proposal for you”
Sunset Shimmer looked at Luna, “what proposal?”
“Would you like to live in the castle with me and my sister?” asked Luna.
Sunset Shimmer looked in surprise at what Luna had just said. Sunset Shimmer staying with the princesses of Equestria?
“But i already have my house”, replied Sunset Shimmer staring at the floor.
“Sunset, don’t you want to live somewhere with the one you love?” asked Luna.
“Yes, but ...” Sunset Shimmer tried to say but was interrupted by Luna.
“If you want, you don’t have to accept just because I’m a princess”, said Luna.
Sunset Shimmer thought about the proposal whether or not she should accept it. For a long time, she wanted to have a family that loved her, and Luna was like a second mother to Sunset Shimmer. Why shouldn’t she?
“Okay, Princess,” said Sunset Shimmer. “I accept”
Sunset Shimmer hugged her mentor with her front hooves as she cried with joy, “you have no idea how long I waited for something like that”
Sunset Shimmer then remembered something, “Princess, i have something good to tell you”
“Tell me, my student,” said Luna, sitting on her haunches.
“I managed to teleport myself, see!” exclaimed Sunset Shimmer cheerfully before teleporting a little away from Luna.
“Congratulations, Sunset! I’m proud of you,“ said Luna with a smile.
Sunset Shimmer used her magic to teleport to Luna, “you’re welcome, princess, what now? What spell will i learn?”
Luna stroked her chin before replying, “I know this spell you must have already learned and you may consider it useless, but the next spell will be to levitate and hold objects”
Sunset Shimmer nodded.
“Well, i’ll go, see you in the morning”, said Luna before leaving Sunset Shimmer’s dream.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Sunset Shimmer woke up and got out of bed. She took everything she had and put it in her backpack. She went downstairs and saw that had no ponies at home. But she wasn’t sad about it. For today, she would live in the castle with her mentor. She got a sandwich to eat. After eating, she left her house. She was all bouncing, for it was today that she would live with somepony who cared about her.
Meanwhile, in the castle, Luna was at the table with Celestia. She would tell that Sunset Shimmer would live in the castle with her, “sister”
Celestia looked at Luna, “what is it, sister?”
“I’d like to tell you something, sister”, replied Luna.
“And what is it, Luna?” asked Celestia.
“Sunset Shimmer is going to live here in the castle”, replied Luna.
Celestia was silent before asking, “Why?”
Luna was surprised, “Tia, the parents of Sunset Shimmer don’t even stay at home, they just travel and they only come back when they have an important celebration”
“I never imagined there would be such parents, Luna”, said Celestia.
“Neither do I, sister”, agreed Luna.
Suddenly, the two sisters heard Sounds of hooves coming from the door. When the sound stopped, the door opened, revealing Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer.
“Hi, Twilight Sparkle”
“Hi, Sunset Shimmer”
“Hi, Princess”, greeted Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer in unison.
Luna and Celestia had managed to resist the urge to laugh. Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer went to the table to sit next to their teachers to eat the pancakes she had.
After they finished eating, the princesses took their students to the library. Twilight Sparkle was curious before, “Princess, why did you take me to the library? Are we going to read it?”
Celestia shook her head, “no. But for today’s class, we’ll need the books”
“What are you going to teach me today, Princess?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“The spell of carrying things with your magic,” replied Celestia. “You have to get some books with your magic as much as you can handle”
Twilight Sparkle was worried, “I’m not going to faint?”
“No, my student,” replied Celestia. “If you can’t stand it, just drop the books”
Celestia took a book from the shelf and placed it on the floor, “try to get this book with your magic”
Twilight Sparkle easily picked up the book with its magic. Twilight Sparkle smiled at that.
Celestia took two more books from the shelves, “now, try to get these two books”
Twilight Sparkle, still holding the book, took the two books. It wasn’t that hard.
Celestia picked up another book and laid it on the floor, “try to get this book with your magic”
Twilight Sparkle took the book with its magic. But, suddenly she began to feel exhausted. She released the books as she breathed tiredly.
Celestia smiled, “Very well, my student, I see that you are strong with your magic”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Celestia as she smiled and breathed tiredly, “thank you, princess”
Celestia and Twilight Sparkle left the library and saw Luna and Sunset Shimmer coming out of the library.
Sunset Shimmer was in her room, happy. At least now she lived with somepony who cared and stayed with her.
“Sunset, can I talk to you for a moment?” asked Twilight Sparkle on the bedroom door.
Sunset Shimmer looked at Twilight Sparkle, who was now entering the room, “why did you teleport yourself away from the library?”
Sunset Shimmer looked to the side, nervous. She sighed sadly, “It’s because my family always travels and only comes back when it has an important celebration”
“I know that,” said Twilight Sparkle. “But have another reason?”
Sunset Shimmer nodded, “Yes, I wanted to have a family like you, who loves and cares”
Twilight Sparkle was surprised. She didn’t expect Sunset to be envious of her, “Would you like me to do something to help you?”
Sunset Shimmer smiled, “No thank you. Princess Luna already helped me”
“How did she help you, Sunset?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“She’s going to let me live in the castle”, smiled Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle was happy for her friend. But then a doubt popped into her head, “so the reason you wanted to spend the weekend with me was because you didn’t want to stay home alone without your parents?”
Sunset Shimmer sighed, “yes”
“So why did you invite me to come to your house?”
“I wanted you to meet my house”, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Twilight Sparkle then yawned, “I’m going to bed, good night”
“Good night”
Twilight Sparkle left the Sunset Shimmer room and went to her room. She hoped that now that Sunset Shimmer was going to live in the castle she would feel better.
The Moon Student and the Sun Student
Sunset Shimmer woke up in a good mood. She didn’t usually wake up in a good mood. But today she had a reason to be happy. She had a new home. She was lucky to have Luna. Because even if she told her parents what she felt, she knew her parents wouldn’t care about what Sunset Shimmer felt. She got up and went straight to the dining room for breakfast. She opened the door to the living room and saw Luna eating. But for a strange reason, Celestia and Twilight Sparkle haven’t arrived yet. She wondered where they were.
Twilight Sparkle was in her bed, still asleep. For some reason, she couldn’t get up. Was it sleep or laziness? Suddenly a hoof sound was heard at the door, “Twilight? Are you awake?” but no answer came.
Celestia opened the door with her magic, and saw Twilight Sparkle lying on the bed, sleeping. Smiling, she went to Twilight Sparkle to wake her, “Wake up, my student. Time to wake up,“ she nudged Twilight Sparkle lightly with a hull.
“I don’t want to ... Let me sleep, princess”, replied Twilight Sparkle sleepily.
“I understand you want to sleep more. But today is a beautiful day“, Celestia opened the curtains.
Twilight Sparkle, who was all covered with the blanket, got up. Her mane was messy. She yawned.
“Did you sleep well?” asked Celestia worriedly.
“It’s just that I was reading yesterday in The night”, replied Twilight Sparkle, still tired.
“What time did you go to bed?” asked Celestia.
“Five o’clock”, blushed Twilight Sparkle with a smile.
“Twilight, I know you love to read. But know that rest is important too”, said Celestia as she stroked the messy mane of Twilight Sparkle.
“Yeah, you’re right. But I can’t resist books. They have so much information,“ said Twilight Sparkle before looking at her mane. “Wow, my mane is really messy, right?”
“Yes, Twilight. Would you like me to go out and prepare to eat?“ said Celestia.
“Yes, you can go ahead. I know the way to the dining room”, relpied Twilight Sparkle before going to the bathroom and closing the door.
Celestia left her student’s room with a smile.
Celestia entered the dining room and saw that Luna had already finished eating and was waiting for Sunset Shimmer to finish, “so? She woke up?“ asked Luna.
“Yes, she woke up”, replied Celestia, before she sat down in her chair and began to eat.
The door opened, revealing Twilight Sparkle. She went to the table to stand beside Celestia to eat the pancakes.
After they finished eating, Twilight Sparkle went to Celestia, “Princess, I have something to tell you”
Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle, “and what is it?” asked Celestia with a smile.
“You know that dragon I shocked to pass the test?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes. What about him? “ asked Celestia.
“Can I have him?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Well, at the moment he’s being taken care of by the nannies of the castle. Do you know how to take care of a dragon?”
Twilight Sparkle sighed, “No, Princess. But I’ll study more about his species”
“Okay, Twilight. I’ll bring him. Wait here“, said Celestia before she started walking.
What Celestia didn’t know was that Twilight Sparkle was jumping for joy.
When Celestia brought the newborn dragon, Twilight Sparkle stopped jumping happily. She just stared with a smile, “What name are you going to give him, Twilight?”
“Spike”, replied Twilight Sparkle before putting Spike on her back.
When Twilight Sparkle arrived in the library, she couldn’t help but be happy. No matter how many times she came, she would always feel cheerful in the castle library. Twilight Sparkle took some books that talked about dragons and began to read. Spike was at the table, watching Twilight Sparkle reading, “Twilight, what are you reading?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Sunset Shimmer, “about dragons”
Sunset Shimmer noticed that there was a purple dragon on the table, “where did you get this dragon?”
“When I went to do my test to go to school, I had to shock a dragon egg”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Sunset Shimmer was still confused, “yes. But I’ve never seen him with you before”
“It’s because I spoke to Princess Celestia today. And she let me stay with the dragon“, smiled Twilight Sparkle.
“Good for you,” smiled Sunset Shimmer. “Can I read about dragons with you?”
“Of course, Sunset”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
A solar guard entered the library, “Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are waiting for you for dinner”
Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle stared at a library window, and it was nighttime. They spent all day reading about dragons. But they had fun. Sunset Shimmer was about to leave when she heard a sound of magic. She looked back and saw Twilight Sparkle picking up the books with her magic as she put it back on the shelf, “do you want some help?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at Sunset Shimmer, “No thank you. You can go ahead”
Sunset Shimmer went to Twilight Sparkle, “Are you sure? Isn’t that selfish of me?”
“Of course not. I’ve always enjoyed arranging books on the shelf in my home. You can go ahead. I’ll catch up with you“, said Twilight Sparkle.
“If you say ...” Sunset Shimmer left the library.
As the dining room door opened, the princesses expected to see Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer together. But they just saw Sunset Shimmer, “where’s Twilight?” asked Celestia.
“She’s in the library, arranging the books we read on the shelves. I offered to help her, but she didn’t want to“, replied Sunset Shimmer.
Celestia raised an eyebrow curiously. Twilight Sparkle refusing the help of a friend? “I will talk to her”
Celestia left the room and headed for the library. When she looked, she saw Twilight Sparkle sitting with several books around herself as she arranged each book on the shelf. Spike looked at Twilight Sparkle, “Twilight”
Twilight Sparkle was startled, and all the books fell to the ground. Twilight Sparkle saw Celestia. She smiled nervously, “P-princess! What are you doing here? Not that your company isn’t good, but ... "
“Twilight, please calm down. I just came here to call you to eat,“ interrupted Celestia. “You can arrange the books on the shelf after you eat”
“O-okay, Princess”, stammered Twilight Sparkle, while smiling nervously.
When they reached the dining room, they saw Luna and Sunset Shimmer talking happily. Her plates were already empty. Celestia sat in a chair next to Luna and Twilight Sparkle sat next to Celestia. Twilight Sparkle wanted to put Spike in a chair next to hers, but there was no, “princess”
Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle, “yes?”
“Can you get a chair for Spike?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“Yes, Twilight. Sunny Cloud!” called Celestia.
A white-colored unicorn, blue mane and Cutie Mark of a yellow sun with a cloud went up to Celestia and bowed, “Yes, Your Majesty?”
“Get a chair for the dragon, please”, said Celestia.
Sunny Cloud nodded before looking for a chair.
When Sunny Cloud returned, only Celestia and Twilight Sparkle were. Sunny Cloud put a chair near Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle put Spike in the chair. Twilight Sparkle’s stomach rumbled. She was very hungry. When she realized the food was there, she began to eat fast. Celestia was worried, “Twilight, you don’t have to eat so fast”
Twilight Sparkle realized her mistake and looked at Celestia, “I’m sorry, Princess! I’m sorry for my ways! I forgot that I wasn’t at my home! Please don’t banish me!”
Celestia was surprised by this, “Twilight, I would never do that. Where did this idea come from?”
“Because you’re the ruler, you can do whatever you want. Until banish who are not worth for you“, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Celestia smiled, “Twilight, I may be the ruler of Equestria, but I would never do that to my subjects. Not with you, especially”
Twilight Sparkle was surprised, “Really, Princess?”
“Of course, Twilight”, Celestia hugged Twilight Sparkle with a wing.
Since no pony was having nightmares, Luna was able to sleep well, in peace, and didn’t have to go to the dream world. She was having a good dream. But, her good dream was soon interrupted, “Luna, Luna”
Luna was startled by the presence, no. Not her!
Nightmare Moon went to Luna, “I see that you managed to resist me and got a pony that likes our night”
Luna looked at Nightmare Moon, “Our night, no! My night!”
“Why be rude? I was just talking“, said Nightmare Moon.
“I’m not going to fall for your little games and lies. You’re talking about it to manipulate me“, said Luna.
Nightmare Moon made a shocked expression as she put a hull on her chest, “oh. Why you think like that? Before you found Sunset Shimmer as your student, I was your friend’s”
“You were never my friend!” exclaimed Luna.
“Liar. Whenever you felt alone, you felt happy with me keeping you company“, said Nightmare Moon as she grimaced.
Luna then realized that Nightmare Moon had mentioned Sunset Shimmer, “wait, how do you know I have a student? And how do you know her name?”
Nightmare Moon smiled, “Luna, Luna. You and I are one and the same. Everything you feel, I feel too”
“You’re not me! And never will be! BE GONE!“ Luna used Canterlot’s real voice in the last sentence.
Nightmare Moon smiled as it disappeared like a wind, “you will see, Luna. When you least expect it, I’ll return. And together, we will make the night last forever”
Celestia was sleeping soundly as she dreamed she was having a picnic with Twilight Sparkle. Celestia was having tea while Twilight Sparkle was reading a book. The day was beautiful, there was no cloud in the sky, only the sun. Suddenly, she and Twilight Sparkle from the dream felt hot. A white alicorn in orange armor appeared, “well, well, if it’s not Celestia with your student Twilight Sparkle”
Celestia looked confused, “Who are you?”
“You don’t know who i am? I’m am Daybreaker!”
The Twilight Sparkle of the dream hid behind Celestia in fear. Daybreaker noticed and smiled at Twilight Sparkle’s dream, “Don’t worry, my student, I will not hurt you”
Celestia got up, “she’s my student. Not your student”
Daybreaker rolled her eyes, “You and I are the same pony. What difference does?”
“The difference is that I will never become you!” exclaimed Celestia.
“Deep down you know you’re powerful. You don’t need Luna,“ said Daybreaker. “You are the ruler, you can do whatever you want”
“I can be the ruler. But it doesn’t mean that I will become a tyrant,“ protested Celestia. “Get out of my mind now!”
“OK, I go. But keep my words, I will return“, Daybreaker disappeared from the dream of Celestia.
Celestia looked at Twilight Sparkle’s dream, “Shall we continue with our picnic, Twi?”
Twilight Sparkle’s dream nodded, before re-reading the book, and Celestia grab a cookie from the dish and eat.
