Cheerilee adored her job as a teacher, she truly did. Helping the young colts and fillies of Ponyville learn and grow into fine adults never failed to fill her with untold joy. However, just because she adored her job didn’t mean it wasn’t a chore some days. There were lessons to plan, tests to grade, and an entire room full of rambunctious school ponies that could get into any sort of trouble if she looked away for but a moment. After days like this, is was nice to come home and just relax, letting all that day’s worries just melt away, which is exactly what Cheerilee had planned for today.
Humming happily to herself, Cheerilee suckled her pacifier as she doodled with her box of crayons, drawing vague pony-shaped blobs on the piece of paper at her hooves. Several foal’s toys like rubber rings, a rattle and some lettered blocks lay around her as she lay comfortably on a blanket, her teddy bear lovingly nestled against her chest as she played. Cheerilee looked to all the world like a happy foal, complete with a large diaper with pink bordering around the waist and legs taped securely around her bottom. Indeed, there was no better way for the mare to relax than to regress back to a time of pure innocence, one she secretly envied in her students.
Of course, Cheerilee would never admit her secret desires to anyone. How would the ponies of Ponyville react if they knew that the pony responsible for teaching their colts and fillies was in-fact a big baby herself? She’d probably die of embarrassment if any pony ever saw her like this, which was why she enjoyed her hobby in the safety and security of her own home. Despite this, however, a small part of her still secretly longed for the chance to have another pony join her, somepony to watch over and care for her like a really foal…
Setting down the crayon she had been using, Cheerilee popped out her pacifier and quickly replaced it with a bottle of warm milk. As she drank from her bottle, Cheerilee pushed the notion of ever finding a caregiver aside as she settled back into the comfort of being just a big foal for a day…

“Cheerilee?” Big Mac called out as he knocked against the door to the mare’s home. He was supposed to be delivering an order of apples to her home, only to find when he arrived that the blinds were drawn tight and the lights turned off inside. Maybe she went out? Big Mac thought, wondering for a moment if he would have to come back later. Trying one more time, Big Mac knocked against the door to Cheerilee’s home, but was surprised a little when the door creaked open slightly. Ponyville was a very friendly town, so most ponies tended to leave their doors unlocked for friends and family, but it was still a little strange for her to leave it unlocked if she wasn’t home.
Assuming she left it open for him, Big Mac quietly stepped inside and closed the door behind him. The first thing he noticed as he stepped inside was a light coming from what he assumed to be the living room, which was strange since he had thought that Cheerilee wasn’t home. Curiosity getting the better of him, Big Mac walked across the room towards the living room and poked his head inside.
“Cheer—“ Big Mac froze, his words vanishing off his tongue at what he saw. It wasn’t the foal toys scattered around that caught his eye, nor was it the baby bottle lying empty on the floor. What really caught his attention was the sight of Cheerilee sleeping peacefully on the couch with a pacifier in her mouth, her blanket having fallen off to reveal the unmistakable sight of the diaper wrapped around her bottom.
To most ponies, this would have come as a complete shock and likely would have caused them to bolt from the house in disbelief. For Big Mac, however, this was not his first time seeing a grown mare wearing diapers, so the shock lasted but a moment before he silently walked over and pulled the blanket back over the sleeping mare, who mumbled slightly but remained fast asleep as she hugged her teddy bear tighter. Big Mac smiled at the cute sight before slowly tiptoeing back out of the room and walking towards the kitchen.
After setting the basket of apples he had brought onto the counter, Big Mac took a second to look for a slip of a paper and a pen. Not wanting Cheerilee to panic when she awoke, Big Mac wrote her a short note letting her know that he was sorry for barging in and that her secret was safe with him. He also included an offer to come to him if she ever wanted to talk about it, but only when she was comfortable doing so. With that done, Big Mac silently crept back to the front door and walked back outside, carefully shutting the door behind him as not to awaken the slumbering mare.
As Big Mac went on his way to make more deliveries, he couldn’t help but smile at the image of the sleeping Cheerilee still fresh in his mind. Despite the awkwardness left over from the “Love Poison” incident with the Crusaders, Big Mac and Cheerilee had somehow managed to remain friends after all that, occasionally passing each other in the street and catching up ever once in a while. And while his heart belonged only to Sugar Belle, he couldn’t deny an almost motherly feeling of affection forming towards the Earth pony mare. If she was anything like Sugar Belle, then he knew deep down that all Cheerilee wanted was for nothing more than to be looked after and cared for by a loving caregiver, and he knew just the pony who could fulfill that wish for her.
Looks like Sugar Belle might just have a new friend to play with…
