The Last Human
The ruler of Equestria, Queen Faust, was asleep in her bed. She was sleeping peacefully, content for the while, until she was woken up by crying. Her eyes opened, "Celestia and Luna..." She muttered, a worried expression on her muzzle, as she got out of her bed and galloped to her foal's bedchambers, only to find that they were sound asleep.
Queen Faust came up to her young and had a puzzled look; they weren't crying... So who is? She then admired her daughters, looking down at them fondly. She kissed them both before leaving. She looked around. The crying continued. The queen quickly began to follow the noise and began searching the castle for the source of crying. I wonder who it could be... A lost foal? She thought, hurrying her pace.
As she approached the entrance to the castle, the crying grew louder. She pushed open the doors and the cool night breeze blew in and brushed against her face.
She looked around for anypony to be crying, she looked down and saw a basket with a note attached to it. She quietly made her way closer and peered inside to see a small baby. "His name is Zinc Brightstar. Please, take care of him." is what the note read. She saw that it was a baby. Not a foal... a human... A human baby. She bit the handle and carried it inside, filled with guilt.
Zinc kept crying, wondering who this creature was and where his mother was. His bright blue eyes were filled with tears that streaked down his cheeks. The queen stowed the note away before bringing Zinc inside. She smiled down at him. It was a soft, sweet, smile, "Hush now, little one, I promise to take care of you." She said to the baby, her voice soft and motherly.
Zinc started to calm down when he heard the soothing voice of the creature. He stopped crying and started looking at the creature curiously. He reached out trying to grab some of the bright colored hair that hung over him. Queen Faust smiled and lowered her head down a bit for the child to grab hold of her mane. Zinc grabbed a small handful of the creature's hair. He made a gurgling sound, feeling how soft it was. He let a small laugh of happiness.
Queen Faust smiled. Her eyes studied his face as she did so, "He's so small and innocent...” She thought to herself. The sight started to bring tears to her eyes. "Okay, my dear. It's time to go to bed. It's late." She said softly to the child as she walked back to her bedchamber.  Zinc let out a small yawn as he felt time's hold on him pulling his eyelids down. Queen Faust chuckled and nuzzled his cheeks. She then pulled back carefully and began to rock the basket slowly with a hoof. The Alicorn sang quietly, fondly gazing down at Zinc. The queen carefully began to take him to the bedchambers. She kissed his forehead, "Sweet dreams, little one...” She whispered, gently taking him out of the basket and climbing into her bed and fell asleep with him in her arms. Queen Faust fell to sleep after a couple moments of staring at the ceiling. For the first time after the execution, she slept peacefully.
In the morning, Queen Faust awoke to the sounds of commotion. She yawned and rubbed her eyes before quietly walking to the door. She overheard some patrolling guards... she could pick out a few sentences; "... they found him in the Queen’s bedchambers."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Now they're going to dispatch the lil' one...”
Queen Faust's eyes widened a little; this "lil' one" had to be Zinc. She burst through the doors, knocking over the guards. She sprinted towards the execution room. The queen skidded to a stop, having arrived. She stepped in, nostrils flaring, "What is the meaning of this?" Queen Faust demanded, standing between them and Zinc.
All the guards in the room froze, "Q-Queen Faust!" They said as they all knelled at her presence, "We're just following your orders and exterminating the human child..." One of the guards said to her.
Zinc was laying on an execution table, tied down, his mouth gagged to reduce the sound of crying. There were some small bruises on his face. Queen Faust glanced at the table, her voice sharpened, "By killing a defenseless child..?" She looked at them, "One whose mother left him in my care?" She asked, eyes narrowed, the Alicorn's horn began to glow; Zinc's restraints beginning to unwind.
"Q-Queen Faust! What are you doing?! That child is dangerous!" One of the guards said, trying to stop Queen Faust.
She gently touched one of the bruises, then looked back at the guard, "Dangerous how? He's much too young... This child is defenseless." The queen said, taking the rag out of Zinc's mouth.
"That thing tried to eat me! It put my hoof in its mouth." The guard told Queen Faust, "That creature needs to be killed!"
Zinc's cried filled the room once Queen Faust removed the rag from his mouth.
The queen nuzzled Zinc, "Hush, sweetie. I'm here, now." She cooed, and then looked to the guard, "Eat you...?" She motioned to Zinc's gaping mouth.
"There are no teeth. And he's much too small to eat a hoof or a pony in that case." Queen Faust said, ears twitching. Then, before they could say anymore, "I will hear no more. As far as I'm concerned, he is within my care and I will allow no pony to harm him. He is now to be treated as my daughters, Luna and Celestia," Queen Faust said, "Did I make myself clear?"
The guards all nodded, "Y-Yes Queen Faust..." They said, hoping that she wouldn't punish them.
Zinc began to gently chew on one of Queen Faust's hooves, much like a toothless alligator would.
"S-See! It's trying to eat you!" The guard said to her.
She sighed, and then looked a bit surprised. She looked down. There was little to absolutely no pain. It tickled a little. She sat back on her haunches and held him towards the guards, He's probably hungry. She thought to herself, "You think he would actually eat me..? He can't even walk. Say, do we have any milk left?" She asked suddenly.
The guard looked puzzled, "Uh... I'm pretty sure we do your highness." He said, "Wait, you're not really going to feed that... thing, are you?"
"I am." She said, holding Zinc close, "I demand that milk. Now, please." Queen Faust said.
"Y-Yes Ma'am!" The guard said as he quickly left the room to go find the milk. He came back a few minutes later with a bottle of milk, "H-Here you go..." He said passing the bottle to her.
Zinc eyed the bottle of milk with a hunger that could've been interpreted as greed if not for the innocence of his youth.
"Thank you." She propped Zinc up and helped him with the milk. Queen Faust smiled tenderly, watching him, "You may leave, now." She told the guards.
The guards nodded and quickly fled the chambers, leaving only Queen Faust and Zinc in the room.
Zinc began to hastily guzzle down the milk. He began to drift to sleep, only to be woken up again by the sounds of two foals. Queen Faust seemed to still be asleep. A purple foal was stumbling around on the floor; her eyes stared down at her hooves. She walked into the queen's side. The queen didn't seem to notice as the foal backed up, falling onto her back. She whined, unable to get up. Another foal came over curiously and caught sight of Zinc. She made a small noise, and tripped forward, now on her belly.
Zinc giggled at the creature that fell on its belly. He let out a squeal of happiness.
Both foals looked at him with curious looks. The purple foal seemed to be stuck, like a turtle. The other foal crawled up to Zinc and sat up, "Hi!" She remembered the greeting... but that was one of the only few words she new besides Mommy, Woona, and a couple other simple words like hungry and thirsty.. Queen Faust stirred a little. When the foal tried to look up at her mother, she too fell onto her back and squeaked in surprise.
Zinc let out another squeal of laughter, this time followed by him flailing his arms, trying to clap.
The foal smiled and managed rolled over. She stood in front of Zinc and fell back again. The purple foal watched and got up, mimicking her sister. They laughed as well. Queen Faust awoke and looked down at them, "Mommy! ~" Both foals snuggled close to their mother.
"Hello, darlings. ~" Queen Faust hugged all three of them gently.
Zinc looked up at Queen Faust as if to ask who the two others were.
Queen Faust looked down at them one of a time, then, "Luna, Celestia, you two have a brother now. ~"
"Brodder?"
"Mhmm. Brother." She gently stroked Zinc's hair, "His name is Zinc." Queen Faust smiled.
"Zinc, this is Luna --" The purple foal's tiny wings flapped, "And this is Celestia." The older foal nuzzled his belly curiously, then proceeded to give him a kiss on the nose, "Hai, Zinc~"
Zinc giggled when Celestia kissed him on the nose, "Webia! Woona!" He said happily.
The queen looked very happy. Luna and Celestia squeaked in delight. Luna gave him a kiss on the cheek, Suddenly, Celestia's stomach growled, "Looks like its lunch time, huh?" Queen Faust chuckled.
"Hungry~~" Luna said, and then began to chant the word, hopping about excitedly. Celestia followed, her small wings flapped a couple times.
Zinc giggled at the sight of Celestia and Luna jumping around. He saw Celestia's wings and tried to grab at them. Celestia soon stopped and sat by Zinc. Her wings twitched a couple times as she watched Luna continue to hop around tirelessly.
Zinc eventually was able to grab them and hold onto them. Celestia turned her head to look at Zinc. She tilted her head, unsure how to react. Her feathers were very soft and warm.
"Sowft..." Zinc said as he let go of Celestia's wings.
Celestia turned around, "Has wings?" She asked and went behind him and looked surprised. It just occurred to her that he wasn't very pony-like. Celestia circled him a few times, "Has hooves?" She nosed his little hands and feet curiously.
Zinc closed his hand around Celestia's nose when she was poking his hands with her nose. Celestia snorted, "Has hornn?" Her voice was slightly muffled as her gaze shifted to his forehead. Zinc looked back at Celestia; he didn't know what any of those terms meant.
Celestia pointed to her Alicorn features with a hoof, "Is a pony?" She asked, gently poking him. Zinc looked at Celestia, confusion plastered on his face.
Celestia crawled away for a few seconds. She came back with a picture book and showed Zinc a few pictures of the different types of ponies, "Horn-pony... wing-pony...” She continued, "Mommy-pony." She pointed to the picture of an Alicorn.
Queen Faust smiled, watching them, "Alicorn." She said, "Horn-pony with wings." The Queen explained.
Zinc pointed at a pony that had no horn or wings, wondering what it was. "Horsey-pony." Celestia said simply, ear flicking. Zinc pointed at himself and then back at the picture.
Celestia seemed to pause, and then nodded, "Zinc a horsey-pony. ~" She chimed. Zinc began to clap his hands and laugh happily.
Celestia laughed with him, and then yawned. She snuggled close to Zinc, "Sleepy...” Zinc yawned and fell asleep against Celestia, his head against her wings. Luna eventually came over, nibbling on a strawberry.
"Let them sleep, Luna." Queen Faust said quietly. The purple foal swallowed what was left of the strawberry, "Kay'." She whispered.
~~~Years later~~~
"Try and catch me! I bet you can't do it!" A small white Alicorn filly said as she soared around the room. Zinc sat on the ground, frustrated by the white Alicorn filly, "No fair Tia! You know I can't fly..." He said to her. "Well, you need to try harder!" She said as she flew circles above the boy.
A smaller, blue Alicorn filly trotted over. "Sissy, you're being a meanie." She scolded.
"Oh come on Lulu, it's all in good fun..." Celestia said. Then she saw tears rolling down the young boy's face.
"See! You made him cry big sis..." Luna said as she cuddled against the boy.
Celestia dropped down onto the ground and her head hung in shame. "I-I'm sorry… I-I didn't mean to hurt your feelings…"
"I-It's fine, apology accepted..." He said to her, "Besides, I'd rather stay on the ground anyway. Trying to fly is hard on my arms..." He told her, cracking a smile. The three of them fell backwards, laughing at the joke he made.
From the castle throne room, Queen Faust looked at the scene as a smile grew upon her face.
Zinc stood up wiping the tears from his face, "Okay... So what do you two want to do?" He asked his Alicorn siblings. "I don't know...” Luna said.
"Eat cake!" Celestia said happily.
"That's your answer for everything." Luna muttered.
"Well, at least it's something. Let's get it over with before we have to go to--" Zinc said as one of the guards came over to them.
"Princess Celestia, Princess Luna... Zinc... Time to report to your history lessons." He said to them.
Zinc sighed and looked at them, "Class..."
The two fillies groaned. "But I don't wannaaaa!" They whined.
Celestia unfolded her wings and flew into the castle throne room. "Mommy, do I have to go to classes?" She asked.
"Yes, Celestia. Now go." Queen Faust said. "You to Luna!"
There was another whine that came from the other room.
Zinc looked over at them, "Come on... let's go..." He said.
The guard began to trot off towards the classroom with Zinc behind him.
Luna followed on hoof while Celestia flew overhead. She was hanging in the air, giving her a strange flying position.
Zinc sighed as they walked, "Man... I hate class... I think the teachers don't like me..." He told Luna. "I don't think they like either of us, since they give us assignments to do." Luna said.
"Yeah, but I always seem to get the harder assignments." Zinc said almost in a whining tone.
"It's only because they expect more from you because you're not royalty or pony for that fact..." The guard mumbled.
"Well that's unfair! I'm going to tell my mommy on the teachers!" Celestia shouted.
"Yeah!" Luna chimed in.
Zinc looked over at them, "But every time I've told mom, the teachers deny it all..." He said sighing.
The guard rolled his eyes, "Ever heard of lying..." He thought.
"Didn't Mommy tell you to treat him the same way you treat us?" Luna asked.
"Hey, yeah! And you've never treated us like that! You're mean! I hate you! Meanie!" Celestia said. She stopped following after them and stayed put in the air. "I'm not going to class if the teacher's going to be mean!" Then she turned and flew off to her bedchamber.
Luna stopped and watched Celestia fly away. She started to consider following.
Zinc looked over at Luna as if to say, "Don't leave me here... If you go, you've got to bring me with you..."
"Come on then." Luna said. She started to trot after Celestia, going slow so Zinc could catch up.
Zinc backed away slowly and then ran to catch up with Luna, the Guard never the wiser.
Celestia was in her room, under her covers by the time Luna and Zinc walked in. "They aren't fair... this isn't fair..." Celestia popped up from the covers. "They're breaking a direct order from Mommy!" She shouted.
Luna nodded. "They're in big, big trouble."
Zinc agreed, "Yeah... It's not really fair... You two get assignments on coloring and I get assignments on trying to change dirt into living creatures using magic I don't have..."
"I'm telling Mommy right now!" Celestia said as she flew out the door and soared to the throne room. Luna walked in a few seconds after.
"Celestia, Luna! Why aren't you two in class?" Queen Faust asked.
"Mommy, the teachers are big meanie-heads!" Celestia said.
Zinc made his way towards the throne room, "Yeah... They're giving me assignments on changing things with magic while Tia and Lulu get to color..." He said to Queen Faust.
"What?" Queen Faust said. Her horn glow a light blue and all the teacher ponies appeared in the throne room. "Are you not treating Zinc the same way you treat my fillies? Like I had told you to?" She asked.
"No, your highness. We all treat Zinc just like Celestia and Luna." One of the teachers said.
Celestia and Luna's ears fell back and tears started to form in their big eyes. Then they started to sob and cry. In unison. "They're lying!!" They shouted as they cried.
Zinc hid behind Queen Faust, "You give me all the tough assignments..." He said, "I'm three weeks behind on all my work because of that. I even have the assignments in my room to prove it."
Over the fillies sobbing, the teachers tried to deny the accusation.
"Zinc, I want to see their assignments." Queen Faust said.
Zinc nodded and ran off to get them. When he brought them back and showed her the assignments, most of them could only be completed by an Alicorn Colt or Mare.
Queen Faust took the stack of assignments and looked at them, using her magic. "This is outrageous!" She said.
The teachers sunk down and looked guilty.
"You better stop giving Zinc these assignments and give him the ones you give Celestia and Luna." Queen Faust ordered with a serious tone. "And if he comes to me with another assignment like this, so help me, I will send you to the moon! Is that clear?!" She shouted, starting to use the Royal Canterlot voice slightly.

Bedtime Stories
Zinc Brightstar sighed as he sat in his room. He was wondering what kind of school work he’d be getting now that Queen Faust had set the teachers straight. He turned to the night-blue pony that was next to him. “Um... Lulu... Do you think the teachers are going to be even harder on me now?” he asked her.
The purple alicorn was settled comfortably beside her brother. “Of course not,” she reassured. “Cos’ we’ve got your back...if they do that again, we’ll just tell mother again,” Luna smiled.
“Okay, thanks for the reassurance. I’m really glad that you’re here with me...” Zinc told her. “By the way, don’t you ever get cold? You barely wear any clothes ... except for the royal ones for special occasions...”
Luna shook her head. “Nope. Well... unless the temperature’s extreme.” She shrugged, “Remember, we have a hide.” She smiled, looking at her brilliant coat. “It’s like clothing, in it’s own way...”
“Well... true. I just find it odd that I’ve always got to wear clothes...” Zinc mumbled as he looked out the window. “I still don’t like Magic Class...” Luna cuddled closer to him. Her presence was comforting, like their mother’s. “You’ll get the hang of it.” She smiled slightly. “Maybe ya just need to practice some more?”
“True...” Zinc told her as he wrapped an arm around her. “But... I haven’t been able to cast a single spell though...” he sighed, starting to sound crestfallen. Luna looked at him, then out the window, “We’ll figure it out.” She sounded hopeful. Suddenly, there came a knock at the door. The princess turned her head, “I wonder who that could be... Should we let them in?” She looked to Zinc, raising a brow.
“Uh... Sure, let’s let ‘em in...” Zinc said as he stood up to go and open the door. The door opened before he even reached it; it nearly hit him. A grinning Celestia stood there, holding a plate of cake. “Hiya.~ Thought I’d bring some cake to celebrate.” Luna stood up. “To celebrate what...?”
“Well, those teachers aren’t gonna be mean anymore. So...” Celestia trailed off. Luna giggled, “You’re just trying to find an excuse to eat cake... Oh, Tia...” Luna laughed quietly.
Zinc looked over at the piece of cake. “What kind of cake is it? It looks like one I’ve never seen before?” he asked her.
“Pfft, how am I supposed to know? It’s cake. It looks good, so it’s TASTY cake.” Celestia smiled, walking into his room.
“It looks kind of strange, Tia...” Luna mumbled, trying to get a closer look at the pink frosted cake.
“So... Who’s gonna take the first bite?” he asked them, looking over at the pink frosted cake, before looking at his siblings.
“Mmmmm...” Celestia looked from the cake to her siblings. She pushed the plate towards Zinc. “You try it. I always get the first bite...” The pinkish alicorn smiled at him.
Luna just watched. “Somehow... I have a bad feeling about this...” She thought to herself. Her wings quivered anxiously as she looked from the cake to Zinc.
He looked at the cake and then at Luna. “Well...one bite couldn’t hurt...” he said as he took a small bite of the cake. His entire body was tingling from the taste. Something seemed off as he ate the cake. His clothes seemed looser.

Celestia stopped talking, giggling at the happy memory, from when she was just a filly. Her son, Shooting Star, sat there on her bed listening to the story. “Wait? What happened next? Why did his clothes seem looser?” Star asked while Celestia looked into his green eyes taking a breath, “Oh my little Star, it was a rare cake that makes whomever eats it shrink a little.” Celestia said while covering her son with her wing. Star was getting comfy under his mom’s wing.
“Well, come on tell me and how come I have never met your mom?” Star asked more questions. “That will come later in the story, for now you just need to listen.” Celestia stated while placing a pacifier in his mouth, Star sat there quiet and content listening to his mother.

Zinc smiled as he finished the slice of cake, “Ah, that was delicious...” He said as he put the plate down, He noticed that his clothes seemed to be looser than before. “Hey Lulu, Tia, is it me or are my clothes bigger?” He asked his alicorn siblings.
“Oh! That cake was called Mini-Mini cake. It makes somepony about 10% of their normal height~” Luna said while giggling, “So lets think... you will be the size of a baby, I think. Am I right Tia?” She asked. “Yes you are correct~ You win this!” Celestia said while tickling Luna’s belly.
Zinc had a look of shock on his face, “10% o-of my height!” He said as his clothes became baggier as he got smaller. He struggled to hold up his pants and underwear, “I-I don’t want to be that small, I could get hurt really easily!”
“No you won’t, little Zincy~” Luna said while she took her wing, tickling Zinc’s nose, making him sneeze.
Zinc sneezed, his sneeze was soft and quiet. “L-Lulu, don’t do that... it makes me sneeze...” He told her as a few more sneezes happened.
“Luna, stop now...” Celestia scolded her younger sister. Zinc was now sitting there his clothing had fallen off him, he was now naked, covering his nether regions so Celestia and Luna couldn’t see him naked.
“T-Tia! Luna! G-Get me some clothes!!” Zinc shouted as he hid underneath his bed.
“Tia, maybe we should go and dig up his baby cloths~” Luna said while giggling.
“Not funny Lulu!” Zinc shouted from underneath the bed, “J-Just get me some clothes... Not my old baby clothes either...”
“Luna you are brilliant! Go and get them and hurry~” Celestia said, while pointing Luna to the door.
“No, Tia, I don’t wanna wear them, I’ll tell Mom about this if you do!” Zinc said from under the bed, running even further underneath the bed.
“Tell her, please.” Celestia said, levitating Zinc in the air.
“Gyah! T-Tia! L-Let me be, I don’t want you to see me without my clothes!” Zinc said as he tried to grab the legs of the bed, but to no avail.
“Ok Tia, I am back. I found some old onesies of his and some old training pants too~” Luna said running back in the room.
Zinc’s eyes went wide with terror. “No... No!!!” He shouted as he grabbed a hold of a piece of the floor. “You. Will. Not. Put. Me. In. Baby. Clothes!” He shouted at them, holding on for dear life.
“Yes we will~ Just watch~” Luna sang while giggling, putting the baby clothes on Zinc.
Zinc struggled as Luna put the baby clothes on him. Once she was done, he sat down, arms crossed, and glared at them, “I hate you both...” He grumbled.
“Aww~ Aren't you cute Zinc~” Queen Faust said walking in the room.
“M-Mom!!!” Zinc exclaimed, sounding startled. “M-Make Tia and Luna get me some real clothes!”
“Well we don’t have any to fit somepony of your current size” Queen Faust said while smiling.
“C-Can’t you get somepony to make some for me?” He asked. “I don’t want to be in my old baby clothes...” Zinc whined.
“That could take to the end of the week Zinc, so the answer is no” Queen Faust said sternly.
Zinc sighed , “Fine...” he sighed as he sat there, feeling disappointed. “Just don’t start treating me like a baby...”
“I can't promise that Zincy you know that” Celestia said while messing Zinc’s hair up.
Zinc shook his head, trying to get his hair back to normal, “Quit it Tia! That’s kinda annoying...” He told her.
“He is right Celly don’t do that” Luna said with a smirk. “Thank you Lulu...” Zinc said with a smug smile on his face.
“That's my job to mess with him.” Luna said while taking a picture of Zinc.
“LUNA!!!” Zinc shouted as he ran over to her, “Stop it! That’s not funny!”
“I found it funny now we have a picture of you like this” Luna said while levitating the camera out of Zinc’s reach.
“Luna... Stop... being mean to me...” He said tearing up, before all out bawling.
“Come on LuLu you are being mean to him” Celestia said while the camera smashed on the wall seeing a green glow coming from Zinc’s hands.
Zinc continued to cry as he thought that his sister hated him now.
“Uhh Zinc...Did you just break that camera?” Luna asked in a shaky voice.
“W-What?” He said as he stopped crying long enough to answer her, “What do you mean?”
“Well it seems you can use magic, it was just locked away in you.” Queen Faust said looking at Zinc with a smile only a mother could give.
“I-I can use magic?” Zinc said as he wiped his tears away, his stomach growling a bit.
“Yes you can that is cool Zinc, now we can all practice together!” Celestia cheered
“It seems that a little baby is hungry~” Luna teased
“S-Shut up...” Zinc said as he stuck his tongue out at her, his stomach betraying him again, while Luna had an evil grin on her face.
“Maybe we should go out and eat.” Luna suggested.
“No! No, no, no, no, no, no, no!” Zinc said as he openly hated the idea, “I’m not leaving this castle until I’m back to normal...”
“Awww, why not Zinc??” Luna asked poking his stomach.
Zinc fell back onto his butt. “I don’t want anypony to see me!” He exclaimed as his stomach growled again.
“Well I am hungry and besides, I can easily overpower you.” Luna said levitating Zinc all the way in the air.
“No! I’d rather go on a liquid diet then go out!” Zinc exclaimed..
“I think we could arrange that if you really want.” Luna said giggling.
Zinc blushed a little, “W-What are you talking about?” He asked, his stomach still growling.
“Need I explain more Zinc?” Luna questioned with a malicious grin.
“What are you trying to say?” Zinc asked Luna, shaking a little.
“Luna don’t even think about it, Zinc you should be guessing by now” Celestia said.
Zinc looked over at Celestia with a confused look in his eyes, “W-What are you two talking about?” He asked.
“Lets see Zinc you are the size of a baby and what do babies eat?” Luna hummed while poking Zinc’s stomach again.
“Um... Milk?” He said as he guessed.
“Out of a what? Come on Zincy you’re doing good so far.” Luna said while giggling at Zinc’s expression.
“Um... A bottle?” Zinc guessed, not knowing much about raising a child.
“Ok Luna, just tell him already this is getting painful to watch.” Celestia sighed.
“Zinc, you said you would rather be on a liquid diet, so guess what now got both things right” Luna said to him.
“Um... What do you mean?” Zinc asked as he looked at Luna a bit confused.
“Zinc, I swear! I was going to give you a bottle. You’re slow, aren't you.” Luna huffed, looking at him.
“I’m not slow!” He shouted to Luna, “I just don’t think well on an empty stomach.”
“Well do you want to go out and eat? I sure do think about all of the food out there.” Luna said trying to tempt Zinc.
“Sure... Let’s go do that. Afterwards, we can also go skydiving from the sun!” Zinc exclaimed to Luna.
“Maybe if you're big enough then.” Luna giggled.
Zinc sighed, “I was being sarcastic...” He said, “Just give me the stupid bottle and we never talk about this outside of this room...”
“You know her better than that Zinc” Celestia said.
“True... But that’s also why I know where her diary is~” Zinc sang with a smile.
“YOU WOULD NOT DARE!!!” Luna screamed, her aqua blue eyes glaring at Zinc.
“Ow... Loud much...” Zinc grumbled, clasping his ears.
“That's the point. Don't EVER touch my diary, do you hear me?!” Luna shouted angrily.
“Sure... Just don’t talk about what goes on in this room.” He told her.
“You are just mean. Oh, and if you touch it, then see what I do to you” Luna said.
Zinc stuck his tongue out before realizing something, “We... Don’t have any bottles left, do we...”
“No we don't, now let's go .” Luna said walking out of Zinc’s bedroom.
“But... How am I going to eat?” Zinc questioned.
“I am sure that one of the cooks somewhere will make something for you, and be lucky you have shorts on” Luna giggled at his face.
“I’m so getting you back for this...” He grumbled to her, “One way or another...”
“Ok you two, let’s stop bickering” Celestia said to Zinc and Luna.
“Well... she started it...” Zinc said as he complained.
“I don’t care now shut up, both of you” Celestia said with a little anger in her tone.
“Y-Yes Ma’am...” Zinc whimpered, sounding scared of his own sibling.

“What happened next come on tell me!” Star asked almost begging while Celestia tucked the little colt in to bed.
“Maybe tomorrow,right now you need your sleep Star. I will see you when you wake up tomorrow.” Celestia said kissing Star on the forehead before turning the light off.

Zinc sighed as he laid on his bed, “Gah... I hate the heat... Why do Luna and Tia get to have the freezing cold rooms during the summer...” He whined, as he got off of his makeshift bed. He was still the size of a baby from the Mini-Mini Cake, while walking in the hallway he bumped into a guard
“Watch it kid i don't understand how your mother puts up with you” The guard said with a hint of malice in his tone
Zinc sighed, “Sorry...” He mumbled as he made his way towards Luna’s room, knocking on it gently, “Hey Lulu, can I come in?” He asked.
“Ya sure come on in Zincy” Luna said opening the door
Zinc opened the door and walked inside, “Lulu, I’m bored... what do you want to do?” He asked.
“Well me and Tia were just sitting and reading a little” Luna said as Zinc sighed from the cool air in the room
“It feels so much better then in my room...” Zinc said as he walked over to his sisters, curling up in Luna’s hooves.
“Well i am more then sure mom would let you sleep in here, Why do you let the guards bully you like that” Celestia said
“Well... I can’t really go against them... considering they’re so much bigger than me...” He told her, yawning a little.
“Have you tried to use your magic yet?” Luna asked
“I have... but nothing usually happens... the best I’ve gotten so far is giving them a wedgie...” Zinc said with a chuckle.
“Hmmmm....Oh i have a idea” Celestia said putting a small wooden ball in front of Zinc “Try and levitate this”
“Um... Okay...” Zinc said as he tried to make it levitate, only succeeding in making it break apart.
“I know what you are doing wrong Zinc” Celestia said
“What am I doing wrong?” He asked.
“You are forcing it out you need to let the magic flow naturally....Like when you drink a glass of water imagine you magic is water and let it flow out” Celestia explained
“So... just let it flow?” He said, his stomach growling a little.
“Yup just let it flow” Luna said
Zinc sighed, “I’ll try again.” He said as a Luna plushie was put in front of him, “What’s that?” He asked, stomach growling a bit more.
“Ots a stuffed Luna think of it this way if you rip this Luna then you killed her” Celestia said
“Hmm...” Zinc said as he began to concentrate, his stomach interrupting his concentration.

“Wait a second” Star interrupted the story while Celestia sighed
“Yes what is it now Star” Celestia asked her son
“Wasn't that the same ball and Aunt Luna plushie that i used when being horn trained?” Star asked his mother

“Seems like somepony is hungry that always messed me and Luna up” Celestia said offering Zinc a cookie
Zinc took the cookie... just before Luna pulled it away saying something about babies not having sweets or solid food, “Hey! That was my cookie!” He said as he watched Luna eat it.
“Luna don’t be mean to him” Celestia said giving Zinc another cookie
Zinc took a bite out of the cookie before Luna took it again, “Luna, Quit stealing my cookie!” He said, hearing her say something about milk.
“Nope you can’t have this” Luna said sticking her tongue out
“Why not?!” He said to her, “You treat me like a baby!”
“Because you are a baby” Luna giggled at his disgruntled face
“It’s only because you treat me like one... The ‘baby’ thing you’ve yet to do is feed me.” Zinc said, a glimmer of mischief in Luna’s eyes began to sparkle.
“Zinc you have yet to learn to stop talking with Luna and” Celestia said with a sigh
“Why?” Zinc asked as Luna lifted him into her hooves.
“You are going to find out in a second” Celestia said going back to her book 50 shades of grey
(Hey everypony this is sparknanator aka Shooting Star cutting in 50 shades of grey is a good book wanted to throw that out there)
“What’s that supposed to mean?” He asked Celestia, ignoring Luna for a brief moment.
“Well Zincy you are a baby so guess what you are having for a snack” Luna said between giggles
“Um... No idea?” He told her, not sure what to say.
“Where is a bottle at” Luna said holding Zinc in her magic
“Remember, there are none...” Zinc said to his sister.
“Oh yes their was one that i found” Luna said holding up a bottle of milk
“Um... Luna... He said looking at her, “You’re not really going to feed me... are you?”
“Oh yes i am Zincy you know that” Luna said while levitating the bottle towards Zinc
Zinc didn’t want to drink at first, but then began to drink the milk like a baby.
“Zinc how could you fall for that” Celestia said “And you look like a baby now” She added
Zinc continued to drink the milk until it was all gone.
“Wow you are just a small baby aren't you Zincy” Luna said patting Zinc’s back
Zinc tried to hold in a belch, but failed and burped.
“Wow good boy” Luna teased Zinc poking at his baby fat
Zinc blushed a little and squirmed, “S-Stop that... Urf... I feel weird, what was in that milk?” He asked.
“Nothing it was special milk just for you Zincy”Luna said
“Well, what was so special about it?” Zinc asked.
“Like i said it was special milk just for you Zincy that is all i am saying” Luna said giggling like a filly
Zinc looked confused, “Well... C-Can I have some more?” He asked.
“Maybe later you don't want to get yourself a tummy ache do you” Luna kept teasing Zinc
“Okay... Mommy-- I-I mean Lulu...” He said wondering why he said that.
“Wait did you just call her mommy?” Celestia asked confused and shocked
“Um... M-Maybe... I-I don’t know...” He said, while Luna was giggling.
“Y-y-you just called me mommy” Luna said through her fit of giggles
“Oh... Shut up...” Zinc said, blushing a little, “I-I don’t know why I said that...”
“Cus you a baby” Luna said prodding and poking at Zinc
“I am not a baby!” Zinc said to her, “You always treat me like one...”
“You are too a baby” Luna rebutted
“No I’m not!” Zinc said as he began to cry, his feelings hurt a bit.
“Luna stop picking on him” Celestia said
Zinc sat on the floor, his back facing Luna.
“Why do you put up with her Zinc?” Celestia asked him
“W-Well... You barely have any time since you began to take your advanced classes...” He mumbled, “And she’s the only one who has any spare time...”
“No why do you let her pick on you?” She asked again
“Well... Lulu is bigger than me... and her magic is stronger than mine...” Zinc said, “I can’t do anything to stop her...”
“Just poke the under part of her wing then she will be giggling like there's no tomorrow” Celestia said
“Under her wing?” Zinc said as he looked over at Celestia than at Luna.
“Yes under her wing” Celestia explained to him
Zinc walked over to Luna and began to poke her underneath her wing.
“H-hey don’t do that” Luna said
“What? This?” He said as he began to gingerly touch under her wings.
“Stop now” Luna said backpedaling a little
“No...” Zinc said as he continued to rub underneath her wing.
“S-s-stop” Luna said now in full laughter
“Nope... I’m just a baby, I don’t know what I’m doing...” Zinc said in a sarcastic tone.
“O-ok then i can do this” Luna said dumping water on Zinc
“C-Cold!” Zinc shouted as he stopped tickling her. After a while, he began to sneeze and shiver a bit, the signs of a cold.
“Well good job Luna you got him sick” Celestia sighed drying Zinc off with a towel
Zinc wrapped himself up in the towel, His body shaking a bit.
“I told you to stop” Luna said
Zinc looked over at her, “I wabs dust gebbing webenge bore beeting me wike uh baby...” He said, his nose stuffed up.
“Great Zinc you want a blanket?” Celestia asked
Zinc nodded, “Dat wuld be nice...” He said to her.
“Well we don’t have any extras in here but i can do this” Celestia said as she levitated Zinc under her wing
Zinc snuggled himself under Celestia’s wing, “Wow... so warm...” He said, sniffling a little.
“I bet it is you big baby” Luna said sticking her tongue out
“Stob callidng me nabes...” Zinc said to Luna, “Howb’d you like it ibf I callbed you Nibhtbare Moon...”
“Make me and don’t call me that” Luna said
“Bake me...” Zinc said glaring at his Night time sister.
“Wanna try me?” Luna asked angrily
“I bate you...” Zinc said after a while, hiding under Celestia’s wing.
“Want to go swimming in freezing cold water?” Luna asked with a evil grin
“No!” Zinc shouted.
“Zinc you are more mature than her please don’t sink to her leave” Celestia said
“Okay Tia... I won’t...” Zinc said as he yawned a little.
“Ya at least i dont look like a baby” Luna said throwing a plusie at him
“Ow! Stob it!” Zinc said to her, “Tia... can you take me back to my room?” He asked.
“No but Luna you better stop it now”Celestia threatened
“Pleabse Lulu... It’s really aboying and bean...” He said to her.
“Well stop being a dummy” Luna said with a smirk
“Ibt’s nobt my bault... Nobony tellbs me any biffberent...” Zinc told her, a sad look on his face.
“Its ok Zinc but Luna needs to learn better” Celestia said glaring at her “Do you want to sleep in here”
Zinc nodded, “B-Ban I sleeb unber your wing?” He asked.
“Sure that sounds like a plan” Celestia said smiling
Zinc smiled softly as he curled up underneath his sister’s wing. He slowly drifted off to sleep, his body feeling a bit warm.
“Zinc wake up” Luna said poking Zinc’s nose
Zinc felt warm to the touch, a lot more than normally.
“WAKE UP” Luna shouted into his ear
Zinc flinched, “Ungh... Luna... stop yelling... and why are there four of you?” He asked, his face looking a bit pale and clammy.
“The doctor is here for you” Luna said
“O-Okay...” He said as he crawled out from underneath Celestia’s wing.
“Oh and he has a surprise for you” Luna said
“Surprise? What kind of surprise?” He asked as he sluggishly made his way out of the room with Luna.
“Oh just a surprise now Luna hold him” Doctor Heart Thorne said
“Why would Luna need to hold me?” Zinc asked.
“Yes sir “ Luna said holding Zinc in her magical grip
“Now this might hurt a little bit” Doctor Heart Thorne said pulling out a needle
Zinc struggled in Luna’s grasp, “W-What’s that for?!” He asked.
“Its just a little shot to help you feel better” Doctor Heart Thorn said injecting the needle in Zinc’s rump
Zinc let out a shout of pain that echoed throughout the castle.
“See that was not so bad was it” Doctor Heart Thorne said putting the medical supplies up
“Thats because you didn’t have to get it...” Zinc said, “I feel like I won’t be able to sit down for a week.”
“Well just be lucky you needed 1 shot...Oh my never mind on that” Doctor Heart Thorne said looking at a paper
“W-What...” Zinc said as he went pale.
“You just need 3 more shots Zinc it won't be so bad” Heart Thorne said putting the last 3 shots in Zinc
“Ow, ow, ow...” Zinc mumbled as his rear end felt extremely sore.
“Calm down you baby” Luna Said levitating Zinc to the front door of the castle
“Easy for you to say... You didn’t have to get shots...” Zinc told her.
“I got mine last week and i did not scream like that” Luna said
“Yeah, well those needles were huge...” He said, “They looked as big as my thumb...”
“No they did not” Luna said
“Well... they certainly felt like they did...” Zinc mumbled, “Where are we going?”
“Just somewhere to eat” Luna said
“Uh... W-Where?” He asked, “We’re not going to a restaurant to eat, are we?”
“Yes we are” Luna said
“Come on Luna, you know I don’t want to go out to eat...” Zinc said to her.
“Well too bad Tia is coming” Luna said as the left the castle walls
“C-Come on, please.... I’ll do anything, just don’t make me go out to eat.” He said to her.
“Ok anything?” Luna asked
“Y-Yes, anything...” He said with a sigh.
“Ok i want you to go out and eat with me and Tia” Luna said having found a lupole
Zinc sighed, “Fine...” He told her, “I’ll eat with you...”
“Yay now behave mister” Luna said teasingly
“Yes mommy... I’ll be on my best behavior...” He said to her.
“Did you call me mommy again” Luna asked him
“W-What? Why do I keep doing that?” He asked Luna.
“I dunno but you called me mommy again” Luna started teasing him
“Yeah, so... what’s the big deal?” He said to her.
“Its weird you calling me mommy” Luna said
Zinc looked at her, seeing a mischievous glint in her eyes, “Luna... what restaurant are we going to?”
“That big one over their” Luna said pointing to a building
“What’s so special about it?” He asked.
“Oh everything about it is” Luna said walking to the front door
Zinc’s stomach started to growl again, “Well... I guess we should go inside.”
“No not yet let everypony get a good look at you while we wait” Luna said sitting Zinc on the ground “Now don't move” she instructed
“Y-Yes mommy...” He said, “Why do I keep calling her my mom?” He thought.
“When is Tia getting here” Lua asked
“I-I don’t know mommy...” Zinc said again, “Stop it! Stop calling Luna mommy!”
“Why do you keep calling me mommy” Luna asked
“I-I don’t know mommy... It just feels like the right thing to call you...” He said to her, “No! She’s your sister!”
“Well i am not your mom” Luna scolded
“S-Sorry mom-- Luna...” He said, sounding sad.
“Its fine Zinc” Luna said
“Luna... Can we go in?” He asked.
“I’m here sorry could not find Zinc’s clothes though” Celestia said landing in front of the both of them
“Hi Tia~” Zinc said to her, waving at the white-ish Alicorn.
“Yes come on Zinc it is a surprise that you will like” Luna said
“Okay~” He said as he walked over to Luna.
“Wanna know what it is?” Luna asked
“Yeah? What is it?” He asked sounding excited.
“Well see Tia has some of your clothing” Luna asked
“She does?” He said as he turned to look at Celestia.
“Yes this happens sometimes with Mini-mini cake so we are fixing you” Celestia explained
“R-Really! I get to go back to being normal size?” He asked them.
“Yes you will” Luna said
“Yay! No more being treated like a baby...” He said.
“I might still do it: Luna said
“And I might still call you mommy~” He said to her.
“Ok i don’t care if you do” Luna said poking his nose
“Let’s just go and get me fixed...” He said.
“No i changed my mind Zincy” Luna said
“What! Why?” Zinc asked her.
“Just kidding” Luna said being pulled into the restaurant by her ear “Ouch Tia let go”
“That wasn’t funny Luna... Why don’t you eat some Mini-Mini cake as see how you like it...” He told her, following behind her.
“No i don't even like cake all that much” Luna said
“Fine... just don’t treat me like a baby anymore, please?” Zinc asked her.
“I must do it Zincy” Luna said as Celestia tugged on her ear “Ouch Tia stop it that hurts”
“Now you know how I feel... I feel like I’m nothing more than just a play thing for you when you treat me like a baby...”
“Zinc you are more than that and you know this” Celestia said “The next time a guard or a certain alicorn filly pick’s on you tell me and i will handle it” She added
“Okay...” Zinc said as he followed behind them.
“You both stink” Luna pouted
“Yeah, well... you made me sick... so we’re even...” Zinc said.
“Nopony asked you” Luna snapped at Zinc
Zinc flinched and began to tear up. He turned around and bolted in the other direction, running into an alley.
“Luna stop being mean to him now and Zinc come back NOW” Celestia said
Zinc kept running, turning left and right effectively getting lost.

“Wait a second did you find him was he ok” Star interrupted the story again while Celestia just ruffled his mane
“Well stop interrupting the story and you will find out Star” Celestia told him as she went back to telling the story

“Zinc were are you” Celestia shouted
Zinc sat underneath a tree, crying a bit. A small black insect-like filly walked over to him, “W-Who are you?” He asked the filly.
“Zincy their you are” Luna said as she hugged him “who is this”
“I don’t know... But she’s kinda cute...” He said as the filly walked over to him, laying down in his lap.
“But she is a bug” Luna said
“Yeah, so? Look at those big emerald green eyes, they’re just so precious.” Zinc said.
“Hi my name is Chrysalis” The black filly said
Zinc hugged Chrysalis, “Hi Chrysalis, what exactly are you?” He asked her.
“I am a changeling” Chrysalis said
“What’s a changeling?” Zinc asked her.
“I can make myself look like anypony”she said
“Really, can you show me?” He asked.
“I guess i can” She said making herself look like Zinc
Zinc looked up as she changed into him, growing to his normal height, “Wow... That’s so awesome... Do Luna!” He said to Chrysalis.
“I dont know if i could” Chrysalis said
“Okay... Hey, Lulu... Do you think Chrysalis could come home with us... if her mom says yes?” He asked.
“Sure if she says yes” Luna said
“Yay~” Zinc said, “So Chrysalis, where do you live?” He asked the changeling filly.
“Oh i live in the hive” Chrysalis said
“A hive?” He said, not sure what that was, “What’s a hive?”
“Its where all changelings live and we feed off love” Chrysalis said licking her fangs
“You eat love? How... Is that possible?” He said looking at her.
“I dunno but we also eat normal food and sometimes we even eat meat” Chrysalis said
“What’s meat?” Zinc asked her, looking confused.
“Well its something ponies don't eat” Luna said
“What is it though?” He asked, “Is it a type of plant?” He asked as he looked at Luna, his eyes showing his naivety.
“No how do i put it well you are made of meat”Chrysalis said
“Y-You’d eat me!” Zinc said hiding behind Luna.
“No but most changelings eat meat” Chrysalis said
“S-So... If we try and ask your mom if you can stay with us tonight... S-She’d try to eat me?” He said.
“I won't eat you trust me” Chrysalis said
“But what about your mom?” He asked Chrysalis.
“Oh well changelings don't have parents we hatch out of eggs” Chrysalis said
Zinc looked at her, “But who laid your egg?” He asked, “Do you even have a mom?”
“I dunno if i do” Chrysalis said
“Hmm... Well, if you have no mom... Luna, do you think Mom would let her stay with us?”

“So what happened next did you let Chrysalis stay with you” Star asked yawning
“Maybe another time Star but for now its bed time” Celestia said while tucking her son in for bed as he fell asleep
