Recounting The Event

Lyra was walking through Ponyville as she just got done seeing Bon Bon her best friend, she had been wanting to visit her for days and today she finally got that chance.

Now that she was done she was heading torwards her home when she saw something in the distance sticking out from the ground outside of Ponyville.

At first she averted her eyes away from it as it didnt interest her but then she began to focus on it more as she wanted to know what it was.

It looked as if it was out of place and didnt belong their, curiosity got the best of her and walked torwards it.

When she got to it she unburied it from the ground and saw that it was a big animal bone.

She studied it as she had never seen anything like it, it was scary looking, she wondered what it was.

"That's a Klaxousaur bone." The voice said. Lyra turned around and saw Twilight looking at it.

"Twilight I didn't see you there! Arent those the monsters that invaded Equestria a year back?" Lyra asked.

"Yeah they were...there all gone now so you shouldnt worry about it...why are you all the way out here?" Twilight asked.

Lyra was embarresed as she looked pretty silly digging up a bone a few miles away from Ponyville

"I saw it so I went to dig it up." Lyra explained as she was afraid that she looked suspicious.

"How...did you see it from town...its impossible for abybody to see that far." Twilight said as she gave Lyra a confused look.

"Im... I'm not sure....I just saw it..." Lyra said, Twilight studied the bone with a grim expression as she thought back to the horrific event.

Lyra became curious about it the beasts, she wanted to know more but didnt know how to express it.

"Twilight can you tell me what happened when Rarity went on the journey to find Squad thirteen?" Lyra asked Twilight closed her eyes and recounted what Rarity told her.

"So she defeated all of them right....the attack wasnt that bad right?" Lyra asked. Twilight bit her lip and grabbed hold of Lyra's arm and brought her to the historical society of Equestria containing books and essays on Equestria history.

Twilight soon went to the klaxousaur exhibit which featured photos of the attacks.

"Twilight why did you take me here? What's so grim about this lighten up its over." Lyra said. Twilight stopped and turned around.

"I'm not going to lighten up! Equestria was in constant danger when that happened! Do you think I should lighten up about the past?" Twilight asked.

Lyra couldn't responded as she couldnt think of an argument against that. Twilight pushed a button and audio started to play.

"The Klaxousaur invasion of Equestria was the worst attack against Equestria to ever take place. if you ever see one do not attempt to kill." The narrator said.

"Fortunetly for Equestria Rarity teamed up with Squad thirteen and saved Equestria from the attacks. She bravely repelled the invasion and saved Equestria from invasion."

As the narration went on Lyra turned to Twilight with shock etched on her face.

"Well it's okay now because they never came back after that!? Everything is well and good!" Lyra told Twilight. Twilight looked away and shook her head.

"You really think that?" Twilight asked. Lyra became confused as to why Twilight was saying this. She wanted to know why Twilight was so saddened.

"Well yeah...I heard they were repelled. They didnt bother us anymore." Lyra said. Twilight shook her head and brought her over to another planel and pressed it for Lyra to listen to.

"In the aftermath of the invasion of Equestria a deadly illness spread by the Klaxousaurs spread throughout the land infecting thousands of people. It was known as I-Day."

"I-Day? What...was that like?" Lyra asked, Twilight sighed as she prepared to recount the aftermath.

"After the attack I-Day made everything hellish. People who caught the infection grew Klaxousaurs in the stomachs and burst apart, nobody could figure out why it was happening, Equestria had to be quarenteened as a cure was searched for. It was awful so many people died from this disease. Celestia ordered a national emergency and isolated Equestria from civilization. The infection was finally stopped after a vaccine was created to repel it. Everybody thought that Equestria was going to die out but we survived." Twilight said as she recounted the event.

Lyra stared on in horror as she heard what happened. She couldnt believe Equrstria had experienced this.

"Twilight I'm so sorry....I had no idea how bad it was." Lyra said as she began to cry.

"Its fine it's over now and they will never bother us again. Would you like to see the rest of the exhibit?" Twilight asked.

Lyra thought about what she wanted to do as she wanted to know more but at the same time she was terrified of knowing more.

Lyra nodded and saw the rest of the museum until she was led out outside and ended up puking on the ground.

"I'm so sorry Lyra if I had known it was going to affect you that much i wouldnt have showed you." Twilight said. Lyra shook her head as she stood up straight and wiped her mouth off.

"Dont worry about it...its history you know...its just terrifying to think about how Equestria could have gone extinct." Lyra said.

"I know but you can thank Rarity and Squad thirteen for that. She helped lead the Klaxousaurs away from Equestria with her new found friends." Twilight said.

"Can you tell me more about it?" Lyra asked her, Twilight frowned.

"I can...just don't bother Rarity about it. You can ask but dont upset her." Twilight said.

"Thanks Twilight." Lyra said. After that Twilight and Lyra both went home. Lyra had this info stuck in her head and would never get it out as she now knew the truth about what happened.
